Fusion Force - Power Rangers x Fem!Reader

One of the rules your mothers gave you.

Don’t go into the woods.

Of course they’d discussed peer pressure with you as well but at this point, it was too late.

The branches were cracking under your feet as you ran, no longer caring about how much noise you were making.

Whatever was chasing you could smell you and probably your fear.

So you kept running and hoping you could get home before your mothers realised you’d snuck out.

“Shit, shit, shit! My mums are going to kill me!” you exclaimed as you tried to hide behind a tree, thinking you’d lost it.

Wherever the hell your friends were, you couldn’t hear them as the growling of whatever was hunting you got closer.

“Fuck!”

Running away from the tree was a good move and a bad one at the same time, all your ninja training your mama had given you went out the window as you ran.

Too bad you didn’t have your mum’s ptera scream either, although something similar did leave your mouth as a pair of jaws clamped around your shin.

“Y/N!”

“Y/N? Where are you?”

You didn’t know your mothers knew you’d probably gone into the woods but you were too busy limping towards the person screaming for help.

“No!” the scene in front of you chilled you to the bone when you spotted them.

Wolves.

“Korey!” You screamed as you tried to limp over, the wolves snarling at you as one eyed your bleeding shin.

“Y/n! Help me!”

“Y/n! Oh my god, Tori, look!” Kira exclaimed, spotting you manage to dodge a wolf lunging at you, almost falling over the cliff where Korey was holding on in the process.

Another place you were told to be careful of.

Selene’s Creek.

It was ironic that you lived on the other side of the Creek, away from Hecate’s woods but you didn’t care about that right now as you managed to grab onto Korey’s hand.

“Hold on!” You demanded but Korey was already slipping.

“Hold on, we’re coming!”

Your mothers were on the wrong side of the Creek, even if your mama managed to ninja streak across the Creek and your mum’s ptera scream could reach you or the wolves around you.

A scream left your lips as another wolf’s jaws clamped down on your leg, dragging you away from Korey who lost their grip of you as another wolf bit at their hands.

“KOREY! NO!”

Your mothers stared in horror as they heard you screaming and Korey falling into the creek.

A howl in the distance had the wolves retreating, leaving you on the ground for your mothers to eventually reach.

“Oh my god...” Tori whispered as Kira rolled you onto your back, your eyes closing as everything faded to black. Trauma fresh in your mind.

“Korey.” The words died on your lips as howls echoed throughout the forest.

Hospitals made you nervous. Even as a child, you’d hide behind your mama’s legs as your mum tried to coax you out of hiding.

But now you were fifteen, limbs bandaged and the trauma of seeing your friend fall to their death fresh on your mind.

You knew.

You knew that even if you didn’t sneak out that night, Korey still would have done. They still would have fallen.

But you wouldn’t have become the thing you were today.

The first full moon when you were at home was the worse.

You saw yourself in the mirror before everything faded to a mix of red and white, your vision blurring. You didn’t realise you’d smashed the mirror until you heard your mum knocking on the door and asking if you were okay.

You spent that night with your back against the door, tears streaming down your face as you saw your wolfish reflection in the shards of mirror. Your arms wrapped around your knees, pulling them towards your chest.

Your mothers sat on the other side of the door, unsure of what was going on but you weren’t letting them see you like this.

Like a monster.

You didn’t know that your mum had called Dr Tommy Oliver for help that next morning.

You were already gone by then, alerting your mothers as well as the rest of your family. Little did you know, the Power Ranger family was genetic for you.

Your mothers never told you that they were Power Rangers all those years ago. The day you found out, you wanted to call them. But being in another dimension meant you had no signal to call them.

Plus, you’d disappeared from your family home when you were fifteen.

Now you were eighteen, but unaware that time hadn’t passed as quickly in your mothers’ dimension.

“Shouldn’t you be in training?”

You raised an eyebrow at the blonde in front of you, raising an eyebrow at her stance with her hands on her hips.

“Your mannerisms remind me of your aunt.”

“I’m not my aunt Kendall.” The blonde replied, wrapping her hand around your forearm to pull you up from your beanbag.

“I know, Morgan, I know.”

“When are you going to call me my actual name?”

“Andromeda, Y/n. Report to the training hub immediately.”A voice ordered, leaving the two of you to start pacing out of the room.

“On our way, Nova.” You replied, the two of you heading down the corridor to the transporters.

“But still, when are you going to call me by my actual name?” Andromeda enquired, leaving you to just pause for a moment.

“Okay. Let’s go, Andy- hang on, training hub!” You announced as the two of you stepped into the transporter, arriving at the training hub in seconds.

“Andy?” Andromeda whispered to herself, pushing her glasses up the ridge of your nose as she followed you over to the others.

“Rangers. Thanks to the work of Andromeda and myself, your fusion morphers are now ready for testing. The morphers are encoded to your DNA and will grant you the abilities of your parental rangers...” Nova’s voice turned into white noise as a memory flickered into your mind.

“Any idea who she is or how she even managed to walk into the base, unscathed?”

“She wasn’t unscathed. She was found covered in burns from the electric field-”

“Whatever she is. Those burns have already healed.” Andromeda explained, turning your arm over in her hands as she observed your unconscious body.

“Is that-”

“She was bleeding when I found her. I thought you could do a DNA scan?”

“Good idea, Fletcher.” Nova replied, leaving Fletcher to just nod as he went over to the DNA scanner.

“DNA confirmed. DNA match. Parental DNA identified. Rangers indentified.”

“Her parents are rangers?” Fletcher gasped as Andromeda just stared at you, her eyes widening as she realised you were awake and listening.

“Ranger identified. Tori Hanson. Ninja Storm. Blue Wind Ranger. Ranger identified. Kira Ford. Dino Thunder. Yellow Dino Ranger.”

“She’s the daughter of Tori Hanson and Kira Ford? The daughter of two Power Rangers who saved the world before?” Another voice added, resulting in gasps as you sat up.

“Power what-now? How do you know my mothers... besides my mum being y’know, a famous musician... you shouldn’t know my mama-” You went quiet as you spotted the footage from the days of Ninja Storm and Dino Thunder.

“What the hell!” You exclaimed, eyes glowing golden which caught Nova’s attention immediately.

“Call in the Lowell family, now. Looks like we’ve got a young werewolf and someone for the Fusion Ranger project.”

You spent two years on the Fusion Ranger earth base, training and overcoming a mindset that Selene Lowell had tried to help you with.

“Y’know, it was at Selene’s Creek in my dimension that I got attacked and turned.” You broke the ice with Selene quickly, stating the irony of her name as you were tying your shoe laces.

Selene just laughed at that.

“Yes. I can see how that is ironic.”

“Hanson-Ford, are you listening?” Nova’s voice made you jump back from your memories, a hand going to the back of your neck as you muttered apologies under your breath.

“As I was saying, your fusion morphers will grant your powers based on the DNA. Selene, you will have access to the powers of the Wild Force Lunar Wolf.”

Selene nodded as Nova passed her, her fusion morpher.

“Andromeda. You will have access to the powers of the Dino Charge Purple Ranger and the Pink Galaxy Ranger.”

Andromeda just smiled, taking her fusion morpher with a very careful grip as Nova smiled.

“Fletcher. You will have access to the powers of the Yellow Samurai Ranger.”

“Y/n. You will have access to the powers of the Blue Wind Ranger and the Yellow Dino Ranger.”

“Wait, why do Andromeda and Y/n get more powers than us?” Fletcher enquired, tilting his head to the side as he stared at his morpher.

“Currently, we are trying to recover the data from other morphers due to the Beast Morpher era having gathered all of them. At the moment, you only have access to those I’ve mentioned, however, over time, you will have access to more-”

“Like the Super-Megaforce Rangers?” You suggested, leaving Nova to glare.

“We don’t talk about that era.” Selene explained, leaving you to grimace.

“Sorry, I forgot.”

“Rangers, we may have found your missing family members. Their DNA was traced to another dimension, home to the Fusion Force Rangers, they fight supernatural forces and fusion monsters based on monsters from previous Power Rangers eras, across the dimensions.” Dr K explained over the comms, leaving your mothers and uncles, Fletcher’s sisters and sister’s boyfriend, Kendall and Kendrix Morgan and Merrick Baliton to immediately perk up.

“Let’s go find them.”

“Rangers report!” Nova exclaimed, their usual cool exterior beginning to meltdown as the comms began to go on the spritz.

Nova froze as screams and yells echoed through the comms before all four morphers went offline, the comms dying in the process.

“No, no, no. All four of them... dammit!” Nova exclaimed, throwing the keyboard across the room.

“Where the hell are they!?” A voice cut Nova off as Korey’s laughter echoed through the comms, making your mothers freeze from where they had just arrived in the main control room of the Fusion Force ranger base.

“Four rangers captured, I’m coming for you, Nova!” Korey taunted, leaving Nova to emergency teleport from the base, leaving a video playing on the screens.

“Guys, look, Dr O had one of these set up in our command centre!” Kira stated, leaving all the past rangers go to silent as they watched.

“If you’re watching this, then the Fusion Force Power Rangers are the only ones who can save the Fusion Force space station and Earth.”

“Where are-”

“The Fusion Force Power Rangers, supernatural beings who are related to previous eras of rangers, chosen to re-ignite the spark of the fallen powers to fight fused monsters and fused supernaturals alike.

Selene Lowell, the youngest of a werewolf family who descend from the Wild Force Lunar Power Ranger, Merrick, Selene lost her family in the destruction of a monster attack. The surviving member of the Lowell family, Selene’s sister, was murdered and her alpha status stolen by newly turned werewolf Korey Young.

Korey Young shares a history with another fellow ranger, Y/n Hanson-Ford, the daughter of Power Rangers Ninja Storm and Dino Thunder’s Tori Hanson and Kira Ford. A teenage runaway and a newly turned werewolf, a terrified Y/n ran, ending up at the Fusion Force Earth base’s doorstep.

Speaking of ending up at the Fusion Force Earth base’s doorstep, Fletcher, the youngest of a legacy of child soldiers, ran away from home after deciding that having friends was more fun than constantly learning the samurai ways that his sisters, Serena and the Yellow Samurai Ranger Emily were taught.

Finally, Andromeda Morgan, daughter of Galaxy Pink’s Kendrix Morgan and niece of Dino Charge Purple’s Kendall Morgan, chose to combine witchcraft and science alike, running away from her demanding grandparents and chosing to protect the planet.”

“So Fusion Force is a load of runaway teens, great-”

“Time in the Fusion Force Dimension is faster than in any other dimension, meaning the Fusion Force Rangers aged differently from what they would in their original dimensions. If any family were to come looking for them, they would not find the original teenagers they once lost. Sorry, the video left that out.” Nova admitted, leaving the previous rangers of the past to turn around, staring at the alien fae, Nova, as they stood in front of them.
