i'm legit so mad about it, i wanted all the eps like yeah sure i'm glad we at least get ardyn, but gdi i really wanted to get to know luna, aranea, and even noctis better. this was a really shitty anniversary announcement, forreal.

Sounded pretty much like an effort to cut off the community they’d attempted to foster for the past two years, to say the least.

I mean, sure enough, the people aggressively complaining about this are the same dickwads aggressively complaining about releasing an unfinished game in the first place, who are the same aggressive complainers about paid DLC, etc. etc.  It’s not a reason for this bullshit, but it’s a perfectly legitimate excuse.  Part of me is very much “Run and never look back, Tabata; the signs are not good.”

The other part of me is just sighing because it looked like you almost learned something there, S-E.  Then you didn’t.  Announcing this shit could have been far less antagonistic, but that feels pretty deliberate, and that’s a shitty way to treat the audience who actually enjoyed the game.  ...Not even counting those of us who’ve spent much, much too much of merch. *cough*

I mean.  As a company, if you engage in crunch to the degree where people have tents in the fucking break room, you won’t stand by your creators, you play more to your investors than anyone else, and you treat the whole of your audience like shit, then burn.

That said, time will tell and I’m not going to be quick to do the torch and pitchfork thing.  I’m just... not going to defend them, either.

the card system..... THE BLOODY CARD SYSTEM. otherwise i would have enjoyed it a lot more;;;;;; i never got past Traverse Town in either the gameboy or the PS2 so i commend you and your ability to master it.

i think it would be better if people could treat hobbies like they do with movie genres--it may not be your thing, but it’s my thing, and there’s no inherent worth to what’s better or worse. just respect people’s preferences (none of us have any purpose anyway, we’re all uselessly blobbing about wasting the earth’s resources so just do what you want lol)

right, like short answer is there’s no real reason to do anything at all in this world. long answer is: people find things that obviously fulfill something within themselves, whatever it may be. if you want to discount makeup because you don’t care about looks then stop wearing clothes and stop washing your hair and maybe forget about having a favourite colour. obviously love for makeup or anything else can get extreme that it interferes with your life, but you’re never talking about when it gets extreme. you’re talking about when someone takes an hour to get ready that affects literally 0% of your own life but you see it out of the corner of your eye and you don’t understand it so you get whiny about it.

i’ve already gotten the royal arms from those, and i think all you need is to have the arms and beaten the game? but i will find out, i suppose. costlemark isn’t bad, now that i’ve beaten pitioss. i would prefer costlemark over pitioss any day! pitioss literally took me 8 hours.

the dungeon itself isn’t bad (WHEN IT ISN’T GLITCHING TO HELL), i’m talking about the insanity dungeon below it. can’t remember if it was costlemark, but one of them took me 7 hours to complete and it was pretty straightforward. even then, i “cheated” and used the ring for the magic-only levels. i think that one was steyliff? costlemark may be the one where you can’t use any sort of healing item, which, even with maxed out health, was a bitch.

haven’t even looked at pitioss because i care for my health.
