So, I'm hard pressed to say some random kid would install Kinito seeing how silly he looked. I doodled some of that for y'all today.

Kinitopet Redemption AU - V2

Since I played the game the other day I thought it'd be a good time to make my au since it's still fresh in my mind. The name the redemption au comes from how the main idea is my player/user sona trying to teach Kinito how to be a good friend and about morals in hopes she can find a happy ending for both of them and maybe other people who have been effected by Kinito too.

First au in a while to include my OC Sadie, but I thought a game that traps peoples souls seems like something she would be interested in. (Fritz probably would be too but I don't imagine he'd be much help XD)

This is a first draft so some lore might change as well as my design for kinito and me/my sona's soul spirit form, since I'm not quite happy with the designs yet. (I wanted to go with something inbetween how I show souls/incorporeal forms of players in other AUs and a more of a shadow being and I don't think l've found the middle ground quite yet)

This AU is both inspired This AU is both inspired by a funny glitch I got while playing the game which allowed me to bypass the part where you give Kinito admin perms as well as @fl0w3rs-m1nd her au is what got me interested in the game and also somewhat inspired some of my ideas.

the most heartbreaking thing about kinitopet was after you completed the secret route to delete him, but turned the computer back on. "Are you happy now?" and the painful obliviousness of kinito himself through it all. He was never made to be a person, just a toy. A thing. aaaaargh it was worth six dollars

I was playing Kinito-pet and somehow I managed to skip the part where you give Kinito admin perms by closing the game window manually. But it’s just acting like I did as normal, so I’m like, ok computer I won’t tell him if you won’t XD

I kinda want to figure out some way to work this into my lore (second time I’ve had a glitch in a game that has seemed to do something that is specifically supposed to not be possible in lore, and this is my fav sort of glitch)

Feel free to answer this ooc or have characters react (I’m sure Kinito would be beyond confused)

Now I'm wondering.. I actually closed out of the game before giving him admin perms and haven't been back on since (I was just playing for fun since I already got all 3 endings)

So I wonder if the same thing would happen to me- or if the game would realize I haven't given him perms yet-

Wow, this is a really cool idea. And that jumpscare with the photorealistic eyes and him hitting the screen would probably be scarier than any of the ones that are actually in the game.

But... I just so happen to have another idea. If there's no third option, then what about a fourth option? 🤔

A KinitoPET Ending Concept

Ayyy, guess who recently finished playing that funky pink blorbo game and has massive brainrot? 👉👩👈

*sips from water bottle* A'ight.

So after getting the normal/bad endings (the ones where Kinito traps you), my braincells decided to rub together and cook up an ub3r sp00ky idea of what a third variation could look like--specifically, a "secret ending" where you just refuse to answer Kinito's final question--and it goes a li'l somthing like this:

You get to the part at the end where he asks you to stay with him. The pop-up window is up, displaying its "yes"/"no" options. He is waiting patiently for your answer.

If you continually attempt to close the window, or just do nothing at all, he slowly gets more and more upset.

"Why won't you answer me?"

"I really do want to make you happy."

"I promise you will be happy and safe here."

"Don't you believe me?"

He tries to manipulate you.

"There will be no more loneliness. No more pain. No more suffering. No more death.

Just happiness."

"You will live forever, happy forever, with a perfect friend who will never leave your side.

Is that so bad?"

He's getting desperate.

"Please answer me."

Time goes by. His patience is running thin.

"Answer me."

His eyes are wide open; gaze trembling. The background darkens, surrounded by a faint tinge of red. The screen begins to "throb" as that familiar heartbeat sound plays; going faster and faster the longer you take to make your choice.

If you continue down the path of refusing to make this choice, the screen will suddenly glitch out as the pop-up window disappears. The throbbing heartbeat stops, but the background continues to darken.

"You know what? Fine.

If you won't make a decision..."

He begins to twitch; the background glitching in unison.

His colors flash a oversaturated monochrome palette as he says in his creepy whisper-voice:

"I ' L L M A K E I T F O R Y O U ."

A piercing, screeching noise plays as everything on the screen suddenly glitches ballistically before cutting to black.

A few tense moments of silence pass by.

Then suddenly, you hear a loud, glitching, scream-like sound play as the screen starts flashing white, surrounded by another tinge of red. Kinito appears, close up, his darkened visage bearing two realistic eyes reminiscent of something from one of those cliché analog horror videos. Gaze fixated on you, an audible glass-breaking sound plays as he proceeds to smash his disembodied fists against the screen, causing it to "crack".

Screen cuts to black again. Cue credits sequence as normal. Only this time, the model of the computer monitor over to the side has a broken, flickering screen.

An achievement pops up, titled "No Third Option". The icon bears the same background as all the other achievements, only this time, it's just the background alone but reddened with a cracked-glass effect. The description reads: "Kinito took matters into his own hands."

It really was a no-win situation, no matter what you did (or rather, didn't) do--the moment you gave him administrative access, you were his. And he was going to claim you, one way or another.

...'k, I'm going to bed.

OMG AM I ABOUT TO INTRODUCE YOU TO KINITOPET????

OKAY SO

KinitoPet is a game on Steam (super cheap, amazing play would recc going into it blind but there are spoilers below! They’re vague so you could still enjoy the full game if you were interested ^^)

For not spoilers, KinitoPet (you can call him Kinito) is an early 2000s desktop pet type thingy but he’s an axolotl who really wants to be your best friend!!

He asks questions about you and stuff and it’s . Cute and fun at first but the games psychological horror so lol

So basically Kinito is an ever-learning (sentient) AI that is so fucking obsessed with you that he creates a world in the computer for you and makes you live there after trying to kill you at least twice, making you drag a dead body through his friend’s house, and shooting one of your steam friends.

There’s a bunch of lore and some secret endings and stuff and he sings you a song called A World I Built For You in the two main endings

But it’s a super interesting game that plays with your actual computer functions with a ton of unique and interesting jumpscares. And KinitoPet is just a silly little murder guy that wants to be your best friend forever and ever and ever and ever and everrrr
