to anyone that thinks jack is replacing cas:

I honestly don’t even know how this thought has come into being.  

Jack reflects all the members of TFW.

He got his bonding in with Sam about being born into a certain narrative of evil and rejecting his ties to Lucifer.

He got his bonding with Cas about being an angel and learning to use his grace and caring about saving humanity.

But guess what? He also represents Dean too because he has a human side.  I don’t even care about Jack much as a character, but I can acknowledge his purpose for our characters.  

So, he’s bonding with Dean now.  About HUMAN things.  ‘The Talk’, Sex, Love, Dating, Driving, Having Fun.  Because Dean represents Humanity.

Jack isn’t replacing Cas, he’s forming his own bonds with TFW.  He exists outside of Cas, and Dean is allowed to have relationships with people that aren’t Cas as well.  In fact, that’s really fucking important that he does.  As AU Charlie even asked Sam, “Dean has other friends right?” Because he doesn’t, not really.

The fact of the matter is, Misha doesn’t want to be in every episode, so it’s not the fault of the writer’s for not including him or for him being absent with a bad excuse.  It’s not anybody’s fault.  It is what it is.  That’s his contract, and it’s been this way since season 4.  He’s even in a higher percentage of screen time due to the less episodes this season and there is more going on in this show than Cas and Destiel.  And that’s coming from someone who’s favorite freaking character is Castiel.

When you write a story, you have to build the relationships you introduce otherwise your writing is flat.  They introduced all these characters and now they have to deepen their importance.  Is everyone going to like it? Clearly not, but we don’t get to write the show.  That’s why we write fanfic.

This season has been full of destiel subtext, but much like the other seasons it’s in the subtext.  But it’s blatant subtext, and now we finally have Dean broaching the topic of Love.  First through Michael, and now in his interactions with Jack.  Cas is back next episode, but it’s just as important to focus on Cas’ relationships with Sam and Jack as his relationship with Dean.  As much as I’m obsessed with Destiel, Destiel is not the main point of the show.  And I don’t really know how to explain to anybody that the guys getting a deeper connection to their family is a good thing because it should go without saying.

I don’t want to patronize, but I feel like anyone viewing this in a negative light is preconditioned to expect something negative.  If you focus on the positives they’re giving us you’re going to be a lot happier overall, because honestly, who wants to be miserable over a silly TV show?

This show is supposed to be fun.

Sam: You and Sam had gone to the beach to spend your day there. You were wearing your favorite bikini, and Sam just couldn't take his eyes off you the entire time, giving you compliments every chance he got. Wanting to relax for a bit, you decided to lay down on the floral towel you had brought with you.

Sam eventually got bored doing nothing, so he scoped you up and threw you over his shoulder, which made you squeal out, and he was heading towards the water with you. When the water was up to his chest, he put you down. It was too deep for you to stand, so you wrapped your legs around his torso so that he could hold you.

He just laughed at your reaction and how cute you were with your pouting self. “I love you,” he said with the most prominent and brightest smile on his face. “I love you too,” you replied with an equivalent smile.

Dean: He said it to you for the first time while you were both cuddling and chilling in bed, watching your all-time favorite movie with take-out and snacks as your guests. Your head was on his chest while his arm was securely wrapped around you, legs tangled together for maximum cuddle effect.

“I love you, Y/N.” Lifting your head to look at him, his face nervous for what you were going to say. It was so unexpected, but you felt the same way. “I love you too, Dean.” You traced his cheek with your thumb and gave him a sweet kiss on his lips.

Castiel: You had wanted to tell Castiel for a good while now that you loved him, but you were afraid of how he was going to react. He was an Angel and wasn't quite familiar with the whole idea of emotions. So one day, you decided just to do it and get it over with.

You and he had a lazy day in, watching movies and just enjoying each other's company. “Castiel, I love you,” you blurred out in the middle of a horror movie. He turned his head to look at you, and his eyes were big as saucers. “Oh no,” you thought to yourself and looked down in embarrassment, he didn't feel the same way.

Castiel took his fingers under your chin, lifting your head so that you were looking him straight in the eye. “I love you too, Y/N, very much.”

You felt so relieved that he felt the same way, and you ended up throwing yourself at him in a big hug.

Crowley: He had taken you to yet another country of your dreams for a romantic dinner. Later in the evening, you and he went on a yacht where dessert was waiting for you.

As you guys watched the bright stars above, he said those three words you had been waiting to hear for a while now, “I love you.” Your face heated up at his confession, “I love you too, Crowley.”

He sealed those three forever words in a passionate and explosive kiss.

Hello my dear fellows! We reached the last meta from season 12! This is a sad one, my friends, I know. But we embrace the destiel angst, as good shippers, right?

So, let's cry again with Dean again at the end of this season.

Let's start...

The Promise

When the episode starts we have Kelly Kline dressed in light blue.

The light blue and white color talks about purity and is related to divinity. Those are the colors weared by Virgen Mary, the mother of God, which is now very meaningful to see Kelly Kline, the mother of the future god, wearing the same colors.

After this beautiful detail in the visual Narrative, let's focus on that promise that changed Castiel's priorities for ever.

This is gonna be the new mission for Castiel. His change of priorities, the cause of the future Destiel break up in season 14. This promise will lead Castiel into his decision that will en with his death, exchanging his life for Jack in Heaven, the deal with the Empty.

Then, in another scene, we have this dialogue:

KELLY: Tell me again. Tell me again what you saw.

CASTIEL: Right, I saw– I saw... I saw the future. I saw a world without pain or hunger or want. I saw the world that this child... that your child...

KELLY: Mm.

CASTIEL: ...will create.

KELLY: Mm.

CASTIEL: And it is a world without fear and without suffering and without hate.

KELLY: Mm.

CASTIEL: I saw paradise.

This is a reflection of episode 15x19, with Jack as the new God, defeating Chuck, creating a new Paradise, Heaven.

Another interesting visual Narrative was Jack's room.

The tree represents: FAMILY, each word of his name is colored in TFW colors BLUE, YELLOW AND RED. The meaning is all over that wall, Jack's family, Jack's parents will be Sam, Dean and Castiel. The family settled with strong roots, like a tree.

Noe the rainbow 🌈 in the Bible represents THE DEAL BETWEEN HUMANITY AND GOD, is a promise of no more harm. An example of it, was the rainbow that appeared after The Great Universal Flood.

I will talk here about a little and funny foreshadow... You'll pick it up quick!

MARY: All right, then. Kind of always wanted to punch the Devil in the face. So how do we find them?

Yes, my friends, this was an easy one, right? Is a Foreshadow of Mary Winchester punching the devil, not just once but twice, one in season 13.

Another beautiful and blatant parallel was this one...

Those are the same words Mary said to Dean when she was pregnant.

This marks the Jack as Dean's mirror. The kid will try to be like him, to follow his steps. Because just as Dean is a role model to CAS, he will be the same to Jack.

Another foreshadow of Castiel's dead, and example of those who takes bad decisions to have a win, was Crowley.

SAM: Crowley...why did you do it? Save Lucifer– What did you want?

CROWLEY: I wanted to win.

The desire of a win is remarked as the precursor of bad decision. First we will have Crowley explaining why he let the devil out, which will end in his death, and then we will have Castiel at the end of this episode dying after taking a collection of bad decisions. But for Dean it will mean to get Castiel back in 13x06.

Dean and Cas

The reuniom between Cas and Dean was full of dramatism, jealousy and sassy looks, just to exalt their relationship as romantic.

We all recall the scene in which Case opens the door, and everyone is there: Sam, Mary and Dean, but CAS just calls DEAN hahaahaha. Is just Dean for his eyes, well, that's love.

We have Dean and Sam giving a discourse about loyalty and family and work together... Very dramatic.

DEAN: Look, Sam's right, okay? We'll work through our crap. We always do. But right now, we are here to get you, get Kelly, and get gone.

They heard Kelly, and Mary goes to assist her. But then Dean keeps scolding and talking to Cas, but Castiel replies with his sassy self:

DEAN: Hey, if he shows, can you flame on again? Can you torch Lucifer like you did Dagon?

CASTIEL: I don't know. No, that wasn't me. That was the child. And in case you haven't noticed, he's a little busy.

After this Dean will show himself in pain, just to caught CAS attention, like a annoyed boyfriend that doesn't want to ask for help to his boyfriend, because they're fighting, but whining and moving his harmed knee to his boyfriend, is a great method to get away from the fight they're having, showing Castiel 'look how i was hurt when you weren't there, you weren't there so I had to carry with this pain in my knee.' Believe me, i know this method very well. Hehehehe. So, it works, because Castiel goes immediately to heal him.

DEAN: [bends and grasps his injured knee] Aah. Son of a bitch.

CASTIEL: Here, Dean.

DEAN: Mm.

CASTIEL: Let me.

So, this is the beginning of jealousy Dean has Because Castiel will put Jack first on his list, just like now, Because is the arriving of a son, and that's a crisis for couples.

Look how Dean accepts his healing, and then smiles shyly, happily, goofily, avoiding Castiel's eyes. He is happy because he got the attention he wanted from his angel. Because even after fighting for the bad decisions CAS had taken, he is still his Cas, and he'ss still caring about him. After feeling Cas was acting odd, this healing is like getting him back.

Another scene full of jealousy, coming from Dean feeling Cas was staying away from him, doing his own life, is this scene:

SAM: Whoa. Cas, what is this?

CASTIEL: As I said, it's– it's Earth. But this Earth is locked in eternal war between Heaven and Hell. There are armies of angels fighting hoards of demons, and the few humans that remain are caught in between.

SAM: How do you know that?

CASTIEL: A friend told me.

DEAN: Oh, good. Now you're makin' friends? That's...

Dean is jealous that Cas is making friends out of his sight.

CASTIEL: You don't have to worry. The child, he opened this door. He'll close it.

DEAN: You sure about that?

CASTIEL: I have faith.

DEAN: Really? In your unborn baby-God?

CASTIEL: Yes.

DEAN: Well, then, you're a dumbass.

Jealousy again, reflected in how Castiel is having faith in Jack, and how he used to have faith in Dean. So Dean is feeling maybe, he is replaced slowly by this child.

After this Castiel explains to Sam and Dean that this Apocalyptic World is a world in which they never born. Trying to remark that Dean and Sam are important to our world.

Then, AU!Bobby mentions bullets that kill angels and Dean goes...

DEAN: Wait, angel-killing bullets? Awesome.

And sassy married look from Castiel...

As I said, everything is so dramatic, because they're so married.

Another important scene was Lucifer appearing in front of them, and saying the following words...

LUCIFER: You're right. What should I do? Oh, God! Don't strike me dead! Come on, Sam. You sound like a virgin in Jesus camp. "We can't. God is watching." No. Chuck "walked." He's gone.

When Lucifer mentions this, Castiel turns around to see Dean. It was filmed that way toake us see that was a thought in Castiel's POV, this is something that will be developed to in episode 14x15 and 14x17. In the first one, Peace of Mind we will have a Castiel's POV, with pink color everywhere (representing happiness) and green all over (representing Dean) as something forbidden, something HE CAN'T HAVE, the second episode, we will have a girl and a boy making out inside a car, and the girl is afraid of her dad finding out their relationship, HE COULD SEE US. As if they were doing something prohibited. Both examples are linked to this scene, and Castiel's Sacred Oath.

Crowley's redemption arc was him sacrificing for the boys. As a prelude of this.

The dead that had been foreshadowed for two seasons is here. Stabbed by the back, the bright light showing he is dying, Dean's desperate shout, and his worst nightmare becoming truth.

The burnt wings on the ground is another sign that Cas is gone for real. Dean's facial expression is the most sad we an see, defeated, he will bend down on his knees.

Sam will run to the cabin, because Jack is coming, even with Mary falling with Lucifer into the AU, even with Castiel dead, Sam is focused on the mission. But Dean can't. He can't react, because he had just seen the love of his life dying in front of his eyes. And nothing will be normal again for him.

To Conclude:

This episode is linked to with season 15 final episodes. Talking about the new Paradise the New God will bring.

It shows too the role Cas, Sam and Dean will have in Jack's life.

It talks about sacrifice for love, and how Castiel will change his priorities, leaving Dean feeling a little jealous about it.

And this episode ends with Castiel's dead, in front of his lover.

Supernatural Top 10 Awkward Moments

Yeah I bet you are Cas. There’s a lot of that going around in the world of Winchesters and not just because your robe is open

Let’s revisit some of my faves in no particular order:

#10 “If we can’t talk about it, we shouldn’t be doing it, right?”

Having the sex talk is always awkward but it’s even worse when you’re simply innocent bystanders caught in the crossfire at an uncomfortable family dinner. Pass the friggin’ wine.

#9 “This is a Lamaze class, I swear.”

Bursting in on a group of pregnant women with a gun and accusing them of being demons was bound to not go over well

#8 Grandma Gropes a Lot

I swear, the things Sam Winchester puts up with in the name of saving lives. We don’t deserve this wonderful man.

#7 Silent Night

I mean I wouldn’t say no to a Winchester serenade but still with a drunken Santa this one was a little awkward

#6 “I was being bad cop”

Oh, Cas, my sweet summer child, you have so much to learn about hunting and, you know, talking to people in general.

#5 “Hey, dick move, pigeon!”

It’s definitely uncomfortable when your brother gets into an argument with a bird in a parking lot and things escalate and you have to break it up to avoid bloodshed while bystanders gape

#4 Naked baby

I know naked babies are normally a cute thing but when you pop out of the womb looking a few days over twenty then you need to put some clothes on quick--especially before going out in public 

#3 “And what’s a slash fan?”

Probably the only thing more awkward then finding out people ship you with your brother is being informed of such horrors by your brother... who had to have found out somehow

#2 “You married fake Ruby?!”

To be fair, it wasn’t really Sam and it could be worse. He could have married Becky...

When you’re bumping into shit and failing to form a sentence because you don’t know how to handle direct flirting from a dude--that is peak awkwardness

Sam: Sam had taken you out on a picnic to a park that was nearby. It was a much-deserved break after doing hours of research inside the bunker to go outside in the fresh air. Luckily there weren't that many people at the park, which made you relax even more to have some little privacy.

Sam had made some quick and easy sandwiches for you both to eat and a good drink to wash it all down. There wouldn't be a picnic without a big blanket for you guys to sit on. You were eating the sandwiches in comfortable silence, relaxing your brain that had been hard at work all morning.

After the sandwiches, you guys laid down to look up at the sky, pointing out shapes in the clouds. It suddenly just happened, with him looking at you and you looking at him. You could smell his delicious scent, biting your lips at the intoxication; his eyes widened. You were oh so incredibly close, and it took just a few millimeters for you to lean in and lay a kiss on his lips. Both of you were smiling into the sweet kiss. Pulling away from each other, nose touching, smiles on your faces.

You didn't need to say anything; just holding each other close said it all. He was your, and you were his.

Dean: You, Sam, and Dean were driving back to the motel after another successful hunt. Dean pulled up in the parking lot, and you all got out.

Dean turned to his brother, “Sam, can't I just get a second with Y/N alone?” “Sure, I'll go get ready for bed,” no questions asked he went into the room. Dean turned back to you, “are you ok?” One of the vampires you guys were hunting almost managed to kill you. “Yeah, I'm fine, Dean.”

He just stood and looked at you, like he was going to kiss you any second now. It was only as if he had read your mind because the next you knew, he crashed his lips to yours. It was a sweet but still a needy kiss at the same time. He wrapped his hands around your waist, holding you tight to him. Yours snaked around his neck, tugging at the short strands of hair at the back of his neck. That made him moan deeply into the kiss.

You guys stood and kissed each other for a good time. The built-up tension between you two finally released. Dean pulled away, smiling like an idiot, your lips curving into a big smile, both of you softly chuckling. None of you said anything; he just intertwined his fingers with yours. Both of you went into your room, and the rest of the night was spent cuddling before eventually falling asleep together.

Castiel: Your first kiss was adorable. You two were cuddling on the sofa, watching your favorite show. Out of the corner of your eyes, you could see him staring at you. He suddenly took your chin in between his fingers and turned you to look into his eyes.

You could tell that he wanted to kiss you but that he wasn't sure how, so you took matters into your own hands. Slowly leaning into him not to freak him out, your lips touching for the first time in a light kiss. Sparks could be felt between you.

You had to lead on the kiss since he didn't know how. It was good, and you could tell that he was enjoying it. He placed his hand at the side of your neck to hold you to him. Yours were clutching his bicep lightly.

As you pulled away, all you could say was, “wow.” “That was quite incredible,” Castiel answered to your remark. He gave you a quick peck on the lips before you continued with the cuddling and show watching.

Crowley: Crowley had taken you on a date to Tokyo, Japan, because it had been one of your dream destinations to travel. He had prepared a romantic dinner at the top of the skyscraper; lights and roses were covering the floor you had to yourself.

Wearing the most elegant dress you owned as he was dressed up in a nice suit.

After the delicious dinner accompanied with wine and good company, you guys went to look out on the beautiful city. “It's so beautiful, so pure.” “Oh, it sure is, my love.”

You turned to look at his face, his grin on display. He wasn't talking about the city; his attention was entirely on you. “You look magnificent tonight, my darling.” Getting shy at his comment, you looked down, your face getting warm at his compliment.

Crowley turned your head up so that you were looking at him. He slowly leaned in and captured your lips with his. It was a slow and passionate kiss. So good, and it made you feel alive. It was not something you would have expected for The King of Hell. He pulled away from you but wrapped you in his arms, staying in your secure bubble, looking out on the big city below.

Hi everyone!! We reached season 12 with these Chronicles and I'm so happy for that!

Hope you enjoy this season because it had a good amount of Destiel on it. *Coughing* Mixtape *Coughing*

This time I will talk about 12x01.

That's True Love

When Dean is trying to explain to Mary that he's her son, and she's back from death, he makes this travel through his own memories about what John had told him the first time their parents met. And because in his memories, he puts that as a story of one huge true love, he repeats it to her. This is the perfection of what a love story should go.

DEAN Dad told me. March 23, 1972, you walked out of a movie theater – Slaughterhouse-Five. You loved it, and you bumped into a big Marine and you knocked him flat on his ass. You were embarrassed, and he laughed it off, said you could make it up to him with a cup of coffee. So, you went to, uh, Mulroney's and you talked and he was cute and he knew the words to every Zeppelin song, so when he asked you for your number, you gave it to him, even though you knew your dad would be pissed. That was the night that – that you met –

We already know about the parallel with the Mixtape here, as a foreshadow of what Dean will give to Cas, for him, Led Zeppelin is a big part of a great love story. But... There's something more too... That maybe Dean feels identify when he compares his parents first meeting with his own with Castiel.

We are obviously talking about LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT between Mary and John, even if we know Heaven had made that match, the mechanism was at first sight. With this in mind , we just need to recall Dean and Cas first meeting in the barn. Obviously, Dean saw the sparkles, and the hot guy, with intense energy and intense gaze, looking at him deeply, he had a love at first sight his own, right?

He names John as a big Marine and Mary knocked him flat in his ass. Okay, so remember Cas is a soldier, right? A huge, big Chrysler Building height soldier.

'And you talked and he was cute' Okay, this is much about Dean's idea of what love at first sight means, or John told him his mother thought he was cute, which... IDK. But... You talked and he was cute, is like you talked and you fell for him, is more related to Dean's experience about Cas. Cas is cute. The more he met him, the more the thought the angel was cute. And no one can't tell me otherwise.

And when he says Mary gave John her number even against her father's wishes, this is expressing Dean's inner fears of what he feels for another man (Castiel) could be rejected by his righteous father. Even so, he developed these feelings. Even so, he will be presenting this angel/man, the love of his life, later this episode to Mary.

But it talks too about Sacred Oath, a very heavy topic in Castiel's heart, and a very recurrent topic in this season and the incoming seasons too. The forbidden love for Dean.

Mom, he's my angel

This is one of my fav scenes from season 12, the moment in which Dean Winchester presents Castiel to his mother.

Before this we have a beautiful Destiel hug, because Cas was thinking Dean was dead, so when he saw him alive, he gave him this warm and full of emotions hug, in which Dean melts and smile, it looked so domestic, and perfect, and intimate that Mary made that grimace of "WTF?"

And then we had the flustered son trying to mocking his angel because is very difficult to present the love of your life to your mom, trying not to show her how much in love you are? Yes, i'm a sucker for this head canon hahahaha.

And Cas' face is like Uh-Oh my mother in law hahahaha, they made an excellent work here.

I can swear than when Mary said "Angels are watching over you," to baby Dean that time, she wasn't talking about this kind of watching 😏.

Just because is perfect, the list and smirk on Mary's face gave Dean the idea of what she's thinking about, and he gets flustered, and why is he eying Cas? Because he's there, when her mother is recalling sex in the Impala, because, hell yes, baby can effort a hot sex scene between two lovers right? More than be awkward because he's trying not to think in his parents having sex in Baby, but, maybe the so many times he had imagined having sex with his angel there... Okay just let me dream, okay? Is my meta I can allow myself to do that. Hahahaahahah.

Out Of Place

This episode opens the door to the parallel between Mary Winchester and Castiel. Both of them share the fact that they feel out of place in where they're.

Mary because she comes back after 33 years, finding that the life she was living was a lie, and her two sons are now adults, and their actions had repercussions on their present. So she's out of time, and out of place.

With Cas, we will hear him say he doesn't know where he belongs yet, but then we will have Dean saying twice 'Let's go home's to him, the first time in episode 12x12, when Cas almost dies, and the second one in episode 13x06, when Cas comes back from the Empty. Even so, Cas will feel he belongs to a family assuming his role as a father with Jack.

Colors and Foreshadows (Visual Narrative)

And because this is Dabb era, we will be full of visual Narrative, with the image of Virgen Mary and Christ, we have the symbolic representation of Mary Winchester and Jack.

The wardrobe colors chosen for Lucifer's victims are a clue of the end of the season. There was a family, dressed on red (rage and toxic Dean) and there was a woman dead dressed on Pink (Happiness). Maybe showing us Lucifer will kill Cas.

Remember when Dean was talking about his mom and dad first meeting and he mentioned Mary thought John was cute? Well... Let me show you where they made a stop to drink something before keeping searching for Sam...

And because this is Dabb, and we know he loves to use scenario and symbolism, the fruit berry in urban dictionary means CUTE AND COOL GUY. A BERRY GUY. And who's the first we see there? Right. Castiel. So. There you go. Just putting the puzzle pieces together.

We will see a lot of people stabbed by the back, and the knife coming out from the front of the chest (heart), like we saw in this episode when Mary Winchester killed Mrs. Watts.

We saw how the only way to break Sam is through his brilliant mind, Bevelle knew it and used it, and gave us a foreshadow of "inside the mind" we will recurrently see in season 14 with the whole AUMichael!Dean topic.

To Conclude:

The first episode from season 12 have a lot of clues and foreshadow for Dabb era, and a huge introduction of Dean's idea of romance (Led Zeppelin/Mixtape) and hints of Castiel's death and Dean's possession by AUMichael.
