Straw Hat Legacy Challenge

Another Legacy Challenge? YES! Or should I say... "Yes, Captain!"

This legacy challenge has generations inspired on the crew member, following the order in which they joined, story and/or backstory from them, canon information that I found in wikis plus manga and stuff... And, of course, personal ideias and adaptations.

*I'm playtesting it, things WILL be changed as I go and I'm open to suggestions.

*As you can see, I still didnt finished all generations, but I'll be updating this as possible.

*The basic rules are tha same as any Legacy Challange, don't use money cheats excessively (especialy when money is a parte of the generation challenge).

*I already gave a basegame option for almost everything, but your free to choose whatever you want when given options.

*I intent on given extra generations so you can add to your playthrough as more gens or just challenges for more sims in your household (like, if you want to give a set of rules for a spouse or sibling of the heir).

Generation One - Monkey D. Luffy

Your parents were never really in the picture, but you kinda had a grandpa that looked after you, but he was a bit too strict and almost never home, so you raised yourself. You were always a restless person with a burning passion for freedom, adventure and the unknown, so it wasn't a surprise when you decided to explore the vast space for a living, but the thing is, you never really played by others' rules and are always up to some mischief. Your motto is “anything, but a boring life!”. Oh, and you love fishing, it’s your way to calm your mind.

Color: Red

Traits: Cheerful, self-assured, Ambitious

Aspiration: Chief of Mischief

Career: Astronaut - Interstellar Smuggler Branch

Rules:

Master Astronaut career picking the Interstellar Smuggler Branch and complete Chief of Mischief aspiration;

DON’T level up the cooking skill (eat fruits, quick meals, buy food, etc.)

Master Mischief, Fitness, Charisma and Fishing skills;

Meet and keep ten friends (bonus if they are occult sims or from different worlds);

(Optional) Go on adventures when you have free time - like climbing, snorkeling, exploring new places, fishing and swimming (like vacations and new worlds);

(Optional) Make your neighborhood have a green footprint;

(Optional) Complete the postcard collection.

Generation Two - Roronoa Zoro

Your parents were always a bit too adventurous and busy with their own things, you had anything you could ask for as a child, but something was always lacking, not that you wanted more attention, you really do prefer to be left alone, but a bit more recognition would have been nice. You don’t really understand rules, ‘cause your parents never really cared for them, but what you do understand is being the best at things, so everything you do, you do to an extreme.

Color: Green

Traits: Ambitious, Hot-Headed, Loner

Aspiration: Bodybuilder - or -  Extreme Sports Enthusiast

Career: Athlete

Rules:

Master career and complete the aspiration;

Master Fitness skills (and if possible the Rock Climbing Skill) and any other skills needed to your career and/or aspiration (like Charisma);

Marry a childhood friend with whom you have something in common (like trait, aspiration or career) and this sim should have an unexpected death;

You can have as many kids as you want, but remember this sim is a loner and not really focused on family - you can have kids with your spouse before their death or adopt;

Have a declared enemy;

Generation Three - Nami

Your parent was a bit distant, but you grew up listening to your grandparents stories about being a space pirate and the crime life always looked like fun, and a good way to make easy money and if something is there for the taking, why not take it, right? Oh, yeah, you don't really care about rules, it always seemed like something made for other people, the only thing you care about other than money is your orchard, and that’s it.

Color: Orange

Traits: Kleptomaniac, Materialistic, Loyal

Aspiration: Fabulously Wealthy

Career: Criminal - Boss Branch

Rules:

Master aspiration and career;

Have a neighbor that is a declared enemy;

Complete the crystal collection and one more at your choosing (if you have packs, can be the snowglobe or simmies for exemple);

Buy something new every week;

Have only one child;

Plant and tend a fruit orchard.

Generation Four - Usopp

Your parent always seemed to like their trees and collections more than you, so lying and inventing stories were the ways you found to be noticed by them. You always wanted to be more, but never really knew how, so you always tried to say what you think people wanted to hear, even if you had to invent something and you're damn good at inventing stuff. 

Color: Yellow

Traits: Creative, Clumsy, Goofball - or - Paranoid

Aspiration: Nerd Brain - or - Master Maker

Career: Writer

Rules:

Master Aspiration;

Master Handiness skill (If possible Master Fabrication Skill too) 

Marry someone from the neighborhood (bonus if they are from that on your parent hated);

 Leave your job as a writer at some point to invest in your creations and after this your spouse leave you;

Have five kids;

Generation Five - Vinsmoke Sanji

Your parents never really cared about you, especially after the divorce, and your grandparent were not the best exemple being a criminal and all… So you decided to live your own life in your own way no matter what, even if it means starting from scratch all alone and by yourself!

Aspiration: Serial Romantic & Master Chef

Career: Culinary - Chef Branch

Rules:

Don’t really get along with siblings as kids, but when adult reconnect with them;

Runway from home as a teenager and start with zero simoleons;

Master cooking, baking and mixologist;

Cook all food recipes and drinks;

Fish all fishes (complete collection);

You have a wonderful family and you believe you can help make the world a better place, but are still trying to find out how exactly (maybe hands on working behind the scenes, or maybe being the face of the change?). But not only this, you want to start doing the best you can in your own home too! Maybe this way your kids can also have what you had and then they’ll want to try to do what they can for other people too, like you and then… Well, you get the idea.

Color: White & Gold

Traits: Good, Family-Oriented, Loyal/Proper

Aspiration: Neighborhood Confidante

Career: Secret Agent until becoming an Adult, then Business - Management Branch - or - Politician - or - Civil Designer (Civic Planner)

Rules:

Have a loyal pet (any pet, can be cat, dog or cowplant!)

Master aspiration and the second career;

Master Charisma skill (and if possible Parenting skill);

Have kinds only when adult, because you were too busy helping the world;

I wanted to create this sort of boss version of a career legacy challenge. I was inspired by the Not so Berry challenge and my love for colors and strange words to find special color names for each potential heir. All of the names are kinda unisex, but also gender is a construct, so it doesn't matter.

I tried combining all sorts of career play and all sorts of hobbies/skills. I like longterm legacy challenges and family gameplay, so obviously that is a main part of it as well. I haven't included any occults, but feel free to add them in your gameplay if you want to.

The challenge can be repeated in order to play through even more careers.

So far this is purely a concept, I'm still doing my first playthrough on my own. Let me know if you are trying it as well!

rate in order favorite to least favorite: i am a FRAUD who has only played sims 3 & sims 4 so ... at this point, sims 3 and sims 4 are kinda tied bc i miss the sims 3 world ... sims 2′s cc universe seems fabulous ... any image i see of sims 1 just feels cursed so :/ 

favorite expansion: seasons !!!!! it’s such a gamechanger imo. one of my favorites overall was probably sims 3′s late night ... i LOVED bridgeport sm, plus the blend of celebrities and nightclubs and vampires and bands was .................. chef kiss. world adventures was also VERY MUCH my jam at one point. it has it’s problems, but still. other sims 4 ones i really like are get together and island living.

small pets or horses: unpopular opinion is i kinda don’t care about pets sdkjfgds i think i do not have that pack installed rn because, in fact, i always ignore the pets dfkgjlga that being said, i have historically had the small pets more often than horses. i’d always give my sims a Family Dog and an Elderly Cat, mostly for the aesthetic :^)

favorite active career: i loved the stylist career in sims 3 bc it let me live my victoria beckham lifestyle dreams via sims ........ now, i don’t really use those careers, even when i’m doing gameplay ?? i’m pretty sure i’ve never even done the doctor one, and i went to work w/ a scientist sim one (1) time !!!!!! i like the retail stuff better. it’s how my bancrofts got rich in sims 4 !!!

favorite ltw / aspiration: for gameplay, i use the bestselling author, super parent, and master chef aspirations most often. that’s my answer !

whims, wishes or wants and fears: hm. i don’t have strong opinions but. wishes felt more arbitrary during gameplay so let’s go with that. 

favorite occult: VAMPIRES ! i almost never play with the occult features BUT i’m a vampire gal to the marrow, so ... i played with them a lot more with sims 3, but i like the sims 4 vampires as well. one day, i’ll do a proper play-through ! i actually have a few vampire edits in my drafts that are, lmao, years old. i do like the spellcasters, i must say. i had intended to do a whole legacy challenge with them as a side game for my main legacy BUT i kinda got bored after my main witch completed all of the spellcaster-related things. 

cowplants, bonehilda or social bunny: i truly could not care less about any of them but bonehilda feels the coolest.

favorite non-pc sims game: there was a mobile one i played a thousand years ago but i cannot, for the life of me, remember which it was 

favorite spin off game: on principle, i have to say medieval

how do you pick the names for your sims: answered this here ! 

create a spouse or find them in game (townies): WELL !!!! most of the time, i make spouses in cas, especially within the context of my story. however, for legacy gameplay, i’ve added folks from the game—mainly, vj alvi and mortimer goth from sims 3. elizabeth randomly went over to the alvi house and used their swing set (?) with vj, and then constance had a hilariously disastrous prom night with mortimer ... SO, i gave one of them an extensive makeover and added them to the story i was telling myself ! vj and elizabeth ran off to live by the seaside (in a house coleman built for them bc he’s a good papa) and mortimer ... became a civil war historian :/ 

do you prefer following storytelling simblrs or gameplay simblrs: BOTH ! admittedly, most of the simblrs i actively follow are storytellers, but i enjoy all types of content.

Zodiac Legacy Challenge for the Sims 3

If you’re like me, I like a good legacy challenge with nice themes/aesthetics to place/plan out with each heir with enough wiggle room for creative interpretations. No. Well I’ve always wanted to do a zodiac legacy challenge but could never find the rules for TS3 or most of them were made for TS4.  So I guess I thought I would just make one then. 

This was all made on a whim but it’s a strong whim. So enjoy the whim. “@” me if you use the rules since I didn’t come up with a tag for this.

You can move onto the next generation when all goals are met or you maintain them until the heir has aged up or both. Up to you.

When my SuperSim gp has a bigger legacy than my actual Legacy challenges.

Sorry if this is kinda out of contest (no miraculous related) but since I’ve deleted most of my CCs and bought RoM and Strangerville, I restarted playing my public supersim challenge that I wasn’t touching since I started my miraculous sets in dec17/gen18. I forgot how much I loved them, they were my favourite to play with (even if I was still a noob in the game).

So you can basically ignore this post and keep scrolling, I just wanted to show the people interested who the members of the family are xD (also, I don’t have group poses for 18 sims, nor the 3 animals they own, so I decided to go with random ones I had already in game, I might make them some serious ones if I’m inspired).

Cassandra “Cas”: yes, she’s a Goth; yes, she’s a ghost; yes, Cara’s first partner; yes, Cara dated her when she was old and accidentally killed her with woohoo iirc.

Filippo “Fil”: Cara didn’t want a boyfriend but he was too cute of an NPC to let go (he’s a feminine voice so I have this headcanon that he’s a ftm); he kinda started the trend “a boyfriend and a child for each spiecies”; Cara hated a lot some members of his family, now they are dead.

Cara: my supersim (and probably the most beautiful sim I’ve ever made), she changed look three time during my gp, and this is the most durable one; still human and unemployed but I love her.

Caleb: vampire boyfriend found while she was dating Fil; they are basically soulmates and they are going to get married after the final pack for TS4 is out; I expect a big celebration with all the family tree invited.

Giulio: first male alien found on Sixam, so first male boyfriend; he’s a redhead once disguised.

Morgyn: soon to be spellcaster boyfriend; probably going to appear rarely cause he won’t lose his position in the magic realm, but he’s going to be dad anyway.

Marco: son of Cara and Fil, completely human, very positive boy.

Eleonora: lovely Marco’s girlfriend/soon to be wife if not already.

Giada “love”: first children crush of Ramses and only true love.

Ramses “Satan boy”: son of Cara and Caleb, vampire; let’s just say he was a particular child; took the poly relationship from his mother.

Opale “power”: daughter of Vlad, Ramses needed to seduce her, even if her father accidentally died and resurrected at his birthday party.

Claudia “strengh”: Ramses and her woohooed a lot in a coffin when they were teen and she was human; Ramses is the Casanova kind.

Gabriel and Simon: sons of Marco and Eleonora, unespected twins.

Nefertiti: vampire, daughter of Ramses and Giada turned vampire; favourite child of Ramses.

Lapis: vampire, daughter of Ramses and Opale; she’s generally very scared despite being the granddaughter of Vlad.

Cleopas: only male, vampire, son of Ramses and Claudia turned vampire.

Joan: hybrid, last son of Cara; his dad is obviously Giulio, but Caleb grew him more than his mother.

Next to be boyfriends (and dads for Cara): Father Winter, the Scarecrow, an Impollinator, a Mermaid, an Island Spirit resurrected (I think?) and any other occult/special sim that can get her pregnant in the future. I’ll probably going to add a Servo as her (just) boyfriend too.

Family size at the start: I usually start with one sim but I’m currently playing a save on my own. So not taken screenshots or posting about it and I have EVERYTHING at random. Even the number of sims, their traits and if they are family, friends. Even occult is a option and it is really fun!

Lifespan of my sims: I usually have normal or a custom span with Mccc. I don’t like that Elders die so quick. I mean they never meet their grandkids! Or I pause them from aging. 

Favourite family I have played: Oh god this is hard! Uhm... I Love the Hart family for the legacy. But I think I love the Sins even more. Starting with Brielle and now with Venus. I have been in that family for 7 Gens and testing the challenge I came up with. Streaming it and just kinda changing my life tbh. I haven’t been streaming last 2 months because it’s been so busy at home and I feel so bad about it. I miss my family in it. So whenever it calms down THEY WILL RETURN! 

Am I a malevolent or benevolent god: Both! At least I like to think so. But when I look at what I’ve put everybody through. I’m not that nice. But then again life isn’t that nice is it? Well at least I’m always thinking about how I could give them a happy end!

What I like best about the current version of sims I play: The visuals and the multitasking! I mean I like a lot more but these 2 are way better then the older sims games in my opinion. 

What am i most anticipating for the current version of sims: Idk... I’m not really thinking about what will be next. But Realm of Magic sounds REALLY cool. I just hope for small things tbh. I want a apply to all in CAS and more traits and aspirations... the more I think about it the more I want. Hahaha

1. which season are you gonna play with first?

Fall. Eternal summer BEGONE. Or maybe winter. I’m DESPERATE to see Windenburg in the winter.

2. from what you’ve seen in the trailer, what are you most excited about?

GOD I don’t know. All of it? Everything? Yeah, everything. but mostly snow in windenburg

3. what’s your favorite season irl?

Not summer, I can tell you that.

4. what’s your favorite flower / plant?

Sunflowers and snapdragons.

5. are you going to create a new sim/family or are you gonna keep your current household?

I’m gonna keep playing my current family. I imagine my generation two heir will be a young adult by then, so there’ll be a lot to do with that.

6. what would you like to see in this new add-on that you haven’t seen yet?

Honestly I don’t have an answer for this question oml akjgskajfas

7. how do you feel about not getting a new neighborhood with seasons?

I literally do not care. They said that they wanted to focus on how the existing worlds are affected, and they’ve also said each world has a unique climate, which is exactly what I wanted. So I couldn’t care less about there being no new world. I haven’t even finished exploring Brindleton Bay yet.

8. snow, rain or sun?

Rain. I’ve seen enough sun to last me a lifetime, and snow’s fun when it shows up, which it hasn’t in years, but it’s a nightmare to travel after it’s snowed.

9. favorite refreshing summer drink?

water. I pretty much only drink water, ever. or a salted caramel mocha frappuccino. but i’d drink that even if it were freezing cold outside.

10. favorite hot drink in the winter?

Coffee. I have to drink coffee every morning when I wake up, even in the summer.

11. walk through the forest or by the beach?

Forest. I love the beach, but walking on the beach is so hard on account of the SAND. I don’t like sand. It’s coarse, it’s rough, it’s irritating, and it gets everywhere. Also yeah I did pull out a vintage meme to distract from the fact that my name’s sand but I hate sand.

12. swimming pools or the ocean?

If I really have to choose, ocean. Swimming pools are fun, but I’m allergic to chlorine, so I have to be real quick about getting in the shower once I’m out of the pool. And I know I was just talking about how I hate walking on the beach because of sand, but I love the feeling of waves just picking me up when I’m in the ocean.

13. where would you like to travel if you could go somewhere right now?

Somewhere cold. Canada, maybe.

14. how is the weather today?

No idea. Looks like it rained outside during the night, and it’s kinda chilly right now, but I’m sure by noon it’ll be 500 degrees out. The weather lately has been all over the place.

15. what new traits would you like to see in the new add-on?

Definitely something along the lines of “Hates the heat/summer” or “Hates the cold/winter” since those are pretty realistic traits to have. I’d never use them because there’s so few trait slots to begin with but, they’d be fun to have I guess.

16. do you like to play with supernatural creatures like vampires and aliens? and if so, would you like witches/faries/elves?

Sure do, but only when I’m in the mood for it. Not gonna involve the occults in my current save, but I love my bisexual vampire boyfriend Caleb Vatore. Aliens I’ve played with way less than vampires, but I’ve had plenty of sims get abducted.

And I’d imagine I’d feel the same about witches and werewolves and fairies and stuff as I do about vampires. I’d have a blast playing them, but it’d only be when I’m in the mood to deal with them.

17. what is your favorite thing to do during winter?

wonder why it’s still 90 degrees because i’m from southern california and idk what a Winter is.

celebrate my birthday.

suffer.

20. … during autumn?

carve pumpkins. i’d love to go out on walks just as the sun sets, but it’s always nasty and humid here at that time of day. so that’s a good idea in theory.

21. have you pre-ordered seasons? and if you haven’t are you going to pre-order it or wait till it comes out?

Haven’t pre-ordered it yet, no. Waiting to get my paycheck, then I’m going to preorder it. I’m pretty against preordering things, but sims is my weakness, I guess.

22. in which neighborhood are you gonna play in sims first?

Like with seasons? Windenburg. I wanna see the SNOW there.

23. do you listen to music while playing? and if you so, what are you favorite songs to listen to?

I didn’t used to, but I pretty much have to now. That’s actually caused... some ISSUES. To say the LEAST. But I still do it.

As for the songs, it depends on what sim I’m playing with at the time. I listen to certain genres for certain sims. Like when I was playing my last legacy that involved my vampire heir and Caleb Vatore, I listened to a lot of alternative stuff. Mainly My Chemical Romance though, since, I mean, of course? Right.

Lately I’ve been listening to the songs Oh Ana by Mother Mother and Don’t You Dare Forget The Sun by Get Scared a lot while playing.

Oh and Smooth and Wow Wow by Neil Cicierega. But those are mostly when I’m not playing the game, just editing outfits or building.

24. What’s your favorite thing to do in the sims? creating sims, building, etc?

I love creating sims, that’s probably what I’m best at. Storytelling, mostly though. Oh and also, for whatever reason, I really love the grind that comes with the beginning of the legacy challenge. Especially when the bill percent is increased. Makes this fun.

25. what’s your favorite kit/pack/add-on?

Just like, one out of all of them? Not sure. But I think Get Together is my favorite expansion, Vampires and Parenthood are my favorite game packs, and then Vintage Glamour and Movie Hangout are my favorite stuff packs.

26. and finally, what add-on / pack would you like to see next?

I’ll just be like half the rest of the fans and say University. More occult stuff would be fine too, but I don’t know, I always prefer the packs rooted in realism more than the more Wacky packs.

The Lyrics Challenge

This is probably the 100th Legacy Challenge but there are never enough of them, if we’re perfectly honest right now. This challenge is pushing you to make choices you normally wouldn’t do - and it hopefully motivates you to play the game as well! And maybe you’ll even find one or two songs you didn’t know yet and like them.

Basic Rules:

Money cheats can be used, though you shouldn’t overdo it. We suggest you to cheat (FreeRealEstate on) to get your house in the first place, but don’t use any money cheats after that. But that’s up to you.
