can i post this for shuake week day 7 even though it’s late and isn’t really shuake (I LOVE SHUAKE) :,)
joker’s palace! i imagine he has one shadow for each confidant, and they’re all called their respective arcanas.
his palace is a theatre/masquerade, hence they all have masks and gloves
the first one (which i also posted before, is arsène/fool)
the last one is strength (the shadow for the twin wardens). it’s kinda just his inmate outfit so i didn’t line/colour it properly lol
i also have these, which i drew for a different purpose [which has now been posted!] (hence the lack of masks, gloves, and yellow eyes; and the drawings of the confidants; and the relative lack of detail) but if i were to draw them the designs would be similar
warning for long ass dump of my notes on each shadow lol:
each shadow is sort of like how ren tries to portray himself to each of his confidants, like their ideal version of him (at least in joker’s cognition)
joker (fool): his ‘joker’ persona - the leader of the phantom thieves, bold, flamboyant, confident (i.e. how he portrays himself in the metaverse)
ann (lovers): fashionista, model, veering into drag queen territory
i initially drew a suit version but then remembered ren canonically has crossdressed lol (we love the mementos mission manga)
haru (empress): a sweet and gentle prince, detached from okumura foods (like haru’s getaway, prince charming)
makoto (priestess): a model student, smart, serious, but also driven and follows own ideals (like makoto wishes she could)
ryuji (chariot): punkish gym bro
akechi (justice): righteous knight, intellectual and justice driven
morgana (magician): a phantom thief, a cowboy sort of image, sly, cunning, fast
yusuke (emporer): traditional japanese furisode (in modern times this tends to be worn by women, which yusuke could be more drawn to in his models) artistic, down to earth
there’s also a bit about his mother, since a furisode is mostly worn by unmarried women, and since we never hear about yusuke’s biological father, i’d guess she was unmarried? yusuke wants to recapture the beauty of the sayuri (which is a self-portrait) and thinks he could do so with a beautiful model - so ren wears a furisode like an unmarried young woman, like yusuke’s mother
futaba (hermit): otaku, nerd, older brother figure and fellow gamer
sojiro (heirophant): apprentice barista, 2nd boss of leblanc, charming, a ladies man (sorry sojiro your son is gay)
twin wardens (strength): just an inmate lol (focused on fusing lots of personas and filling the compendium, plus listening to igor)
sumi (faith): senior more experienced gymnast/trainer, ‘senpai’
mishima (moon): gentleman thief, but unlike fool and magician, moon would be more secretive and cunning like a traditional gentleman thief
maruki (counsellor): fellow researcher, curious and driven, but very kind and empathetic
maruki would also wish ren was more like him, and agreed with his ideas, since they both lowkey have a savior complex but use different methods. if ren agreed with maruki there would be no conflict in the 3rd semester, which is what maruki would want
sae (judgement): innocent and sweet school boy, model student, unlike priestess who is more self-driven and ambitious, judgement would be more conforming

🍃I made a pjm oc yayyyy✨️
so ya, he's a duende but obviously not fully accurate to how they actually are. Had to change up some things so that he'll fit into the show. Luckily there are quite afew different versions of duendes, so I just picked and chose which characteristics to give him.
personally:
•as u can guess, he's punkish, mischievous & charming most of the time.
•is very protective of his home and of the animals living in it too.
•likes hiding and moving around other people's things so he can watch them spend hours looking for it. He loves being an inconvenience :)
•easily aggravated
•impatient. An example of this is if he asks you to do something but u say "later" in response then he just gets annoyed and does it himself.
Abilities:
•invisibility (spends alot of his time invisible)
•can speak to animals
•gets what he wants mainly through bribes. How he does it is by making and giving them what they want but his gifts don't last forever. Once they leave his hands, whatever he gives them must be used pretty quickly because they will soon vanish into thin air.
Debut:
•so here's the story of how the hero's met him;
He lives in the nature surrounding the outskirts of Tarabiscoville and most of the time not much happens out there.
Then one night (probably in season 6) the pj masks where fighting Romeo and his flying factory, the hero's pushed the fight to that area because they didn't wanna damage the town and ended up damaging the trees and other plants instead. This obviously made Vedasto really angry so after the fight he used his invisibility to follow Romeo because he put most of the blame on him, he did see that it was his machines that did it after all. Later in the night he saw Romeo interacting with Orticia, she was telling him off cuz she was also mad at him for hurting the plants. But since he kept his distance he didn't know that they where arguing so he mistook her to be his friend. And then after Romeo went back up to his factory, as an act of revenge he lured Orticia into his part of the woods and kinda-sorta kidnapped her.
The next night Orticia's pumpkin pets told the hero's that she was kidnapped by a "mysterious stranger from the forest" so they go looking for her and forced Romeo help cause he was the last to see her.
And funny enough, when they finally found her, they saw she wasn't in any danger at all. Instead of putting her in cage, Vedasto just gave her a bunch of stuff like crystals and gold to get her to stay. He also played games with her and they both had a fun time.
After all that they apologised to him and helped replant everything they damaged, they forced Romeo to help too.

sometimes i think many sn fans just replicate okane ga nai
💀💀💀
Anon I'm kinda laughing because I was just thinking how whenever I see "sasunaru" written I think of like the 2000s when people were drawing them, not exactly THIS big difference but it was pretty much like the Naruto with huge eyes and delicate face (and the personality like this blond guy we see above, fragile and moe) and Sasuke being drawn like your average seme from the yaois back then. Basically just molding them into the current yaoi trope trend. It was so bad, like you just couldn't find good content. Like I just couldn't force Sasuke and Naruto into those roles because that's not how Kishimoto wrote them.
Can't forget the 13-16 year olds making jokes about "Sasuke r*ping Naruto xDDD" which was common at the time with yaoi ships, sigh.
But yes, even now the portrayals are often bad. As I have said many times Naruto is the opposite of Kishimoto's punkish and messy troublemaker in many women's portrayals, girly, soft, or "sassy" in some instagram girl way lol. And Sasuke is just... guy who wants to fuck raw or something, and I guess worship Naruto. Boring and ooc.
I'm sure SOME people who write "sasunaru" don't even think about seme/uke or top/bottom stuffs or yaoi or preference or certain kind of portrayal of the ship, but it's really hard for me to shake off the word's connection with that type of content. The fetishized ooc portrayal that's pure yaoi meant for straight girls and has nothing to do with m/m love. I also avoid using narusasu because I just don't want people to start whining about that. So I just write Naruto/Sasuke most of the time, except when tagging because then I use all the tags.
Btw I think it's more that Okane ga nai was written in the late 2000s, so it just followed the typical yaoi trend at the time... just like SN.

Soooo yeah, haha. How do you want me to draw you? (Secret second option: I make something up)
Uh... that is a question I don't know how to answer.
Do whatever feels good I guess, I'll love anything you make
Monty-esqe I guess...

Felix x Volo
💘: Why would people love your ship? Why would people dislike your ship? How might it start debates?
🎞️: What ‘canon’ scenes would the fandom point to as evidence for the validity of your ship?
💘: Why would people love your ship? Why would people dislike your ship? How might it start debates?
Rhetorically speaking, people actually do kinda go nuts for VoloxProtag, for better or worse... typical fanon is a highlight upon the 'religious' aspect- Volo concludes that the protag is 'also' blessed by the grace of Arceus, therefore they are meant to be, or something like that. Fandom and I are both guilty of using the 'last of his kind' motivation as well.
Though, with Felix specifically, I suppose the theme would be more towards their actual similarities; curiosity, lost heritage, and altruistic rebellion. Plus, their physical differences are kinda hot. lol.
I think the primary debate is simply how you portray Volo and ergo how 'healthy' the ship can be. I feel like it's safe to guess, that the earlier his infatuation lies in the story, the bigger the red flags. Felix is an adult so that takes a lot of wind out of certain conflicts. But there are those who just simply refuse to humanize Volo on the basis of evil=aromantic/incel, on the shallower end of takes.
anyways, the appeal for me is largely historical, largely physical. They're from different times. Countries. Bodies. But still have some paralells, especially punkish/rebellious ones. Felix isn't a hero because he's lawful, like Kamado.
🎞️: What ‘canon’ scenes would the fandom point to as evidence for the validity of your ship?
The 'stalking' obsession in game
the goofy solo act Volo gets post-credits (and to a lesser extent, the red chain arc before that.)
Right after Spear Pillar when he comes down from it all.
#ask.#axktheterrifyingghost#selfshipping.#i mighta fucked up question one by forgetting the 'love' part in proportion to the discourse but jfdljslkfjsklfks;;;;#another older ask....#felix fae.#volo.#felix x volo.

Movie Review | Lust For Frankenstein (Franco, 1998)
This movie has maybe the least appealing collection of bearded dudes I’ve seen in a movie. Just uniformly awful, shouldn’t be anywhere near a camera. As a bearded dude in real life, I’m glad that this movie isn’t all that widely seen, as I’m not sure we would recover from the negative representation. If the movie were about Lina Romay and Michelle Bauer killing off all these gross bearded dudes, it might not have been an entirely unwelcome development. That is not what the movie is about. What the movie is about is that a bearded dude convinces Lina Romay, playing a character named Moira Frankenstein, to help him seek revenge. He does some of this convincing by having her listen to one of his records, a punkish hard rock song that wasn’t entirely unpleasant to my ears. Of course, as Romay plays Frankenstein, she must have a monster, and the one here is played by Michelle Bauer, who helps Romay enact her plan while pretty much always completely nude. What ensues are a bunch of violent and/or sexy shenanigans, with a Sadean bent. As you’ve likely guessed by now, this is a Jess Franco joint.
This is a movie he made in the late ‘90s, a period in his career that seems to be not at all well regarded, and this movie in fact has a 2.8 rating on IMDb, which is below what most consider the acceptable band for a good movie. As a result, I went in with extremely low expectations, and I actually didn’t mind the movie. Some of that of course is the expectations, but some of that is the angle from which I’m approaching Franco. This is not my observation, but Franco is someone who returns to a certain set of themes and images obsessively, and the interest in his arguably lesser films comes from the way they fit into his whole body of work, and the variations they offer on said themes and images. A while back, I read this excellent article on Franco’s digitally shot films, and the context it offered definitely helped me appreciate this movie more. This was apparently one of the last movies he shot on film before his transition to (digital) video, and you can see how it uses the lower grade film stock, creaky slow motion and crude video effects to alter the DNA of those classic Franco images. The nude woman with the knife. The zoom (this time on a cute dog). The low angle shot of trees. The extended striptease. The shots on the shore, the characters’ clothes fluttering in the breeze. The reflective surfaces. Their presence here lacks the fluidity and ethereal qualities of Franco at his best, but I found that very lack of elegance interesting. (I do think the video effects make Romay look extra cool in sunglasses.)
The team-up here of Romay and Bauer is like Arnie and Sly joining forces in Escape Plan. Both are past their prime, but it’s nice to see them work together in any case. Of course, in a movie chock full of nudity, I would much rather look at Romay and Bauer than Arnie and Sly, and I do think it’s sweet that Franco’s gaze is so loving and appreciative of Romay even as she’s aged. (That being said, I kinda wish they took off their socks and shoes during their sex scene.) There is definitely a Sadean quality to the sex in the movie, although as the sound mix on the copy was pretty awful, I had trouble following the particulars. At one point I think there’s an incestuous threesome, but don’t quote me. I did chuckle at the sex scene where the participants are stacked on top of each other, like human jenga, and also thought it was nice when Romay helped Bauer get off while the latter humped a tree. There is one moment that taps into some of Uncle Jess’ classic BDSM magic, although to enjoy it, you’ll have to tune out what happens immediately before and after. Which moment is none of your damn business, but hope you can compartmentalize.
This is also pretty self referential, with Romay wearing a Succubus t-shirt at one point, a spider web behind the bed, and posters of Franco’s films scattered on the wall. In a key moment, Romay and Bauer stand on a beach, having disposed of one of their victims. Bauer is for once clothed, yet her breasts are exposed. Romay chastises her, and she responds, “I like to be provocative.” That got a smile out of me.

How old were Nao and Sota?
hmm i’m pretty sure it’s unknown their age, but! i’m personally guessing they’re anywhere between 17-19? they’re emotionally mature enough not to fall for joshua’s obvious baiting but still have a certain young punkish style. plus, it seems majority main cast is young, while the adults are left to fill in the sorta bad guy roles.. i remember being kinda surprised when i found out kariya was 19 and uzuki 17 lmao

lemme guess, you're worried he looks too close to gothdon? well, you could do a couple things to seperate them. since he's kinda punk-themed, he seems like he could rock a sideshave? and maybe another vibrant color for the eyes? idk just throwing stuff at the wall to see what sticks. other kinds of piercings could also help? maybe something with the face, like scars or markings or freckles?
Yeaaah a little bit, his hair is straight and it’s, mostly his colour palette I think? I gave gothdon the glowy blue eyes for the exact same reason I wanted to give Bossband them (tho gothdon only has em part of the time) TvT
I’m just, I’m goth, I like making characters with a similar colour palette, especially when they self indulgent characters like gothdon or bossband
Bossband is drawn in a very basic outfit for times sake too rn, hoodie, tshirt, jeans, so not super punkish right now tbh
I’ll play with some freckles/scars/colours real quick, since I already have everything lined
#the sketch was done p quickly before reading#Idk what colour to go for#I'm still rolling for plausible deniability as far as his humanity goes

I’m lowkey worried you’re trolling me but also idc because I remembered the grinding video and it sent me once again

Weekend Top Ten #452
Top Ten Monsters from Children’s Media
It's Halloween! Literally today! Did you notice? I think it's been a little bit less omnipresent this year, but maybe that's because I've not been going round the shops as much. It's inadvisable to go trick-or-treating so that kinda takes a bit of the excitement out of the equation too. But you can still buy pumpkins and sweets and watch The Nightmare Before Christmas with the kids, so it’s not a total wash-out. And I love Halloween, so I’ll always try to make the bare minimumest of efforts; our Halloween is being a bit weird regardless, but I’m determined (as of writing) to give them a nice, indoorsy find-the-candy activity, as well as making some spooky houses and dressing up as, I dunno, Death of the Endless or Borat or Angus Deaton or whoever they’re into at the moment.
Anyway, kids and Halloween. One thing that’s quite good about kids is introducing them to films, and then gauging when they’re ready for more advanced films. So already this Spooky Season we’ve watched the original Addams Family movie (Values coming this weekend!); creepy and kooky, yeah, but one thing it lacks is a truly memorable monster. Thing? Cousin It? I guess, but one thing that kids’ films (and books, and TV…) excel at is creating terrifying monsters. And, hey, it’s Halloween! Let’s celebrate!
So what follows is a list of monsters, ghouls, and other miserables that have traumatised me in my youth, or else that I just thought were hella creepy as an adult, from all across the spectrum of children’s media. Book characters, TV characters, and lots of creatures from movies. Are they scary? Well, yes; in some cases, very much so. In others, I just hope I haven’t given my children nightmares by letting them watch Spirited Away. I mean, seriously guys: children are supposed to watch (or read) these things! Neil Gaiman, I’m looking at you, you dangerous bastard. Buttons for eyes?! For Christ’s sake.
Anyway, here we go: my favourite monsters from children’s media. Get your creep on.
Gmork (The Neverending Story, 1984): I’ve never read the book, but the big bad wolf from the movie legit terrified me as a child. Horrific, huge, a black beast with a vicious visage; he was a force of nature. Something about him made him unnatural (the fact he was a special effect?) and this added to his uncanny horror. Scarier than American Werewolf, and I saw that when I was a kid too.
The Other Mother (Coraline, Neil Gaiman, 2002): too old for this to be a childhood nightmare, she’s still unrelentingly scary; a would-be supermum with homicidal overtones, that primal fear of your carers turning on you. In reality she’s some kind of timeless creature of consumption (“the Beldam”) with supernatural powers, so yeah – scary. But really it’s the fact she has buttons for eyes that terrifies.
The Grand High Witch (The Witches, Roald Dahl, 1983): dispensing with common witchy folklore, Dahl created a coven of hideous, bald, toe-less monsters who united in a campaign to kill all children. The Grand High Witch is particularly evil and ugly, with a suitably diabolical plan; the greatest monster and most insidious villain Dahl created. She also inflicts wounds on the protagonists, which – admirably – the book’s ending does not gloss over.
The Weeping Angels (Doctor Who, from 2007): is Doctor Who a kids’ property? I have always and probably will always say yes, so I get to include these scary-ass statues. A monster who can only move when you’re not looking at it, suitably scary; but the fact it moves even if you blink? Nightmare fuel, administered straight into the veins courtesy of Stephen Moffat. Great backstory, beautiful gimmick, and a wonderful design; classic Who monstrosity.
Terror Dogs (Ghostbusters, 1984): it’s a comedy so most of its ghosts and ghouls end up being played more or less for laughs; obviously the likes of Slimer and Stay-Puft, but even Gozer isn’t really presented as scary. But the Terror Dogs are something else; meaty, hefty monsters with gruesome faces, who chase and catch our heroes. The scene where they grab Dana, arms tearing through chair upholstery, is proper horror stuff.
Wheelers (Return to Oz, 1985): another literary critter I only saw in a film, the Wheelers freaked me the eff out as a kid. Punkish rogues who tool around on unnervingly long limbs ending in tiny wheels, they’re teased by creepy graffiti in a post-apocalyptic Oz, chasing and bedevilling Dorothy. Genuinely threatening, genuinely creepy.
No-Face (Spirited Away, 2001): partly it’s the creepy visage, a ghostly body with featureless face (hence, er, “No-Face” I guess); but then he starts eating people, becoming a vast, amorphous monster, seemingly unstoppable, destroying all in his path. His subsequent redemption (of a sort) reveals shades and depths that deepens the film as a whole, but he’s still scary as all get out at the start.
The Skeksis (The Dark Crystal, 1982): a veritable tribe of hideous vulture-things, part of their unsettling nature is their scary design (all shrivelled flesh and sharp edges) and part of it is their repulsive behaviour, their regal dress shredded and filthy; they turn on each other, one-up each other, seek to undermine (or even kill!) each other. They’re just nasty, and as a kid I found them incredibly sinister.
Oogie Boogie (The Nightmare Before Christmas, 1993): in a film stuffed with monsters of various shapes and sizes, it’s a fat hessian sack who provides the true scares. A violent and threatening monster with the manner of a mob boss and a dash of New Orleans cool, he’s a literal bag full of bugs, slimy and sinister and full of malevolence. He threatens Santa, for Pete’s sake!
Constance (Monster House, 2006): another straight-up horror film for kids (even if it’s got gags and stuff), Constance is a ghost (scary!) who possesses a house. It’s a scary house for sure, and the various tricks and traps she enacts for the kids are Poltergeist-y in the extreme. There’s an interesting sadness here that might undercut the scares in the end, but for the most part the house is a big ol’ fright-fest.
Right, there we go; ten proper scary monsters that are supposed to be suitable for kids. Can you imagine it? Wheels for hands, buttons for eyes, and no friggin’ face! No wonder we’re so messed up as a species if this is what we’ve been mainlining as children.
Shame I never got round to Zelda from Terrahawks, mind.

Subarashiki Hibi (Wonderful Everyday Down the Rabbit-Hole) Part 1 - Kagami Ending, Tsukasa Ending and Rabbit Hole Endings
Down the Rabbit-Hole Hmmmm I’m not sure what to expect from this story, the only thing I know about it is that it’s a really highly rated VN? I didn’t expect the MC to be the girl though! She seems pretty cool? She kinda reminds me of Oosaki Nana, punkish, cool and does whatever they want? The random falling dolls from the rooftop by Zakuro were weird. I was surprised that Yuki caught the doll though, if it was a real human, she could have died! Anyway, if I was Kagami, I’d be so frustrated with Yuki lol, she does things for her with good intentions and yet all Yuki thinks about is stuff like Kagami killing her, sigh. Tsukasa is funny though, she’s the youngest and the cutest, but she’s like the big boss that they both end up always listening to because of how scary she can get lol. Gotta wonder why Yuki is so whatever with Zakuro wanting to live with her, like dude, how well do you know her? Even you think she’s weird! Lmao at Tsukasa conning Yuki into taking them in too. Well… I guess this is how it feels if you have a harem…lol. Not sure how I’m feeling with all this “fanservice” and slice of life stuff, it’s not very interesting imo, mainly because I’m not that fond of the characters? They’re rather bland to me tbh. Okay, I guess this is what happens when you go into a game blind, did not expect them to go naked around each other playing the king game, and then even kiss Yuki?!
Kagami Ending So yahhh, going by the endings, I guess whoever you kiss is whoever’s ending. That French kiss was like whoa though. I knew they were all thirsty for Yuki but dang. It’s a bit funny but I do feel what Yuki feels whenever I look out the windows of the train going to the same destination as I always do. It feels like it’s always the same scenery everyday, but some things have actually changed without me noticing. It’s kinda weird when you think about it, I guess what’s really not changing aren’t the buildings and sceneries I see, but actually myself. I probably reflect myself in these sceneries, so if my life hasn’t really changed, if my journey to and fro is still the same, then my mind probably just assumes that everything around me continues as is. Although really, I’m probably being left behind by this world that constantly changes. Spontaneous journeys are always nice, but I wonder if this supposed person Zakuro liked before and that has changed in appearance is actually Yuki? Like, was Yuki a guy before or something? I really liked the segment where Yuki plays the piano for Zakuro, it was really cool to be able to actually hear the musical pieces!
Well, that star gazing leading to sex in the classroom was really intense LOL. Let’s just say….the CGs were pretty NSFW and they went at it quite a bit..! Lol! Honestly, I’ve never really encountered a full on sex scene in VNs since I’ve really only played innocent otome games and other VNs such as Clannad etc that don’t have these so I don’t know how to feel about it tbh! Loll, it’s so awkwardly uncomfortable that I have to admit, I kinda skimmed through it as fast as possible LOL. Anyway, I wonder if Zakuro leaving and stuff means she goes to different illusory worlds to see Yuki and if she’s happy in that world, she just goes on to the next one or something? It’s kinda unexpected how much Kagami likes to be teased by Yuki though loll.
Tsukasa Ending Well, I kinda knew Tsukasa would be the more ferocious one compared to Yuki and her sister. She legit just goes all in for the kiss after getting permission, like dang, isn’t it uncomfortable to watch this going on fpor the others?! Hahaha. And yep, nothing different besides the partner being Tsukasa so yeah nothing much to say about that.
Rabbit-Hole 1 Ending I wonder if Zakuro decides to only do something to “redeem” whatever she did to Yuki’s another self in another world (I assume) when Yuki doesn’t really seem satisfied or is dissatisfied with her current situation in that world? That creepy ride was…interesting though? I’m not sure how to feel about it since it felt like they went to another world or something. Hmmmm so as expected, Yuki is the girl who is the world itself so whatever she wills and believes in continues as is and exists? But then what exactly is Zakuro? Someone from an external world trying to bring Yuki out of her internal world because she’s so stuck in it? Ooooh, so everything started on that day the “doll” fell on Yuki. It wasn’t a doll and was actually Zakuro and that caused this whole thing to come about and for Zakuro to come into Yuki’s world and bring her back to reality I guess?
Rabbit-Hole 2 Ending Hmm two new girls with Zakuro huh~ What does she mean by she’ll save the world? And lolll, I guess I see why Tsukasa and Kagami are so fond of Yuki, they used to think she was a boy and always believed her to be a prince in shining armour because she protected them all the time, until she suddenly started wearing skirts and they realised they misunderstood loll. Anyway, I’m surprised to hear that Zakuro and those two girls committed suicide together by jumping off a roof. Is that their way of saving the world? Or did someone stop them/kill them before they could do anything about this world? Lolll, Yuki’s antics with the others are amusing as well as frustrating as usual, but that Web Bot project thing is very…interesting. Something that collects information about people’s thoughts etc all over the internet to predict the future huh? I guess what’s most unsettling is the fact that because of Zakuro’s last words to Yuki, she can’t help but link them together. But I guess the most chilling thing is the email.. The words about the world ending and Zakuro hurting isn’t exactly scary, but the thought of someone taking a photo of the girls’ corpses after their jump to death and sending it around to people’s emails on Zakuro’s email account is definitely rather distasteful. However, for me, whenever someone asks Yuki whether she thinks the world really will end on July 20, I can’t help but think whether there’s a reason they chose July 20? It’s kinda unsettling to think about everything happening on my RL birthday! Hahaha.
I have to admit that I love Yuki imitating Kagami’s tsundere attitude lmao. Otherwise, I didn’t think Takuji would degenerate into this…creepy thing, like wth happened? Tbh, despite the “insanity” Takuji seems to be going through, his words about death being a reality and something pushed back by everyone/media etc to be something far off all the time when it could actually be really close to you is something I can see and understand. I’m not sure what Takuji hopes to achieve with his little speech though, why must people have to comprehend that the world will be ending and accept this supposed truth anyway? Why does he think he needs to spread this? Btw, I love Ayana’s personality, she’s so stoic yet hilarious, I think she’s my favourite character hahaha.
Hmm, a lot of things happened, but at the same time, nothing much happened? The mystery continues with more deaths, and more disappearances of school students. I’m pretty disappointed that Yuki took so long to realise that Kagami and Tsukasa disappeared, like c'mon!! They always check up on you!! Otherwise, I can’t tell how things are going, is the answer to all this something abstract with the worlds, or is it something to do with humans? Honestly, when Yuki found Kagami’s body with her limbs cut off, and Tsukasa crying beside it saying that Kagami kept saying she wanted to go home when everyone else called her a demon and tortured her, it broke my heart. Kagami stood up to Mamiya in class, she was always brave despite being a scaredy cat, she was always so kind, I’m so devastated that she was treated like that in her last moments.
I don’t think I get the ending… Am I supposed to? Lol. It just feels like…everyone loves Yuki, and that they all want to end their own “worlds” if they have their respective worlds, just so she can keep hers as the only one? Like, only one soul should be kept or something in the world right? So, I guess Mamiya wanted to kill everyone to keep her and her world intact? Yeah, I dunno loll. I’m not sure what Ayana represents, is she an overseer or something? One of those animals that just look at that’s happening, or maybe she’s one of Yuki’s books, passing off knowledge to her when needed. Who knows if anyone in Yuki’s world is even human! Maybe they’re all just different things represented by her lol. Maybe like in the first part, just as Zakuro wanted to save her, this time, Takuji wanted to try and save her in his own way by giving her her own world that will always be hers undisturbed? No possibilities of people taking her out of this world, and he wants her to be able to live here happily forever having a wonderful everyday even if it means no one is there? Anyway, I’m super confused, so hopefully I can see things clearer in the next ending?

questions and answers...
done over discord, collected here for archives!
(also, a reminder that the askbox is always open~)
“Does anyone like to collect or hoard things?”
CHIYO: I really, really like collecting headbands!! I’ve got a frankly embarrassing collection at home, from Hello Kitty styled ones to more “mature” looking ones. My grandma gave me a lot of my collection, so they’re really important to me! AMAL: I don’t really have time to collect things. Collecting postage stamps would be a nice hobby if it didn’t get so expensive with limited runs or whatever. TATSUMARU: ... Why would... why would I want to spend money on things I don’t need or want? SENTAROU: I collect interesting yarn. But you didn’t hear that from me and if you ever tell anyone I’m legally obligated to kill you. IRIS: Um... hair clips? I have a few sets depending on what I feel like doing! And I buy more every year for my birthday. It... might be a problem. ASTER: Bold of you to assume I know anything about myself, let alone what I have at home. Bold of you to assume I know where my home is, too. I hope past me collected rocks. Not gemstones or anything, just funky rocks. CLAUDE: If it exists in collectible form, I have a few. Don’t even ask me to pick a specific thing, ahaha. My room’s a mess. Wait, Kinder egg toys! Those are fun. HIRONO: I don’t really collect things, but I do keep a lot of physical photographs of places I’ve been to and people I like. Photography reminds me of Megumi, so I like doing it! ALEXEI: Feathers. Call me predictable, but I prefer “dedicated” or “has a very clear idea of what I want in life”. RIRIKA: I collect anime girl PNGs. Never, ever play gacha idol games. Don’t make my mistakes. TSUKINO: I have a TON of plane tickets!! Well, most of them aren’t mine, and sometimes I just beg them off people at airports and they look at me weird. It’s so neat knowing that these little papers can take you anywhere and that they’re from so many cool places, too! BRENDAN: I hoard anything I can fit in my toolbelt and save for later. So like, odds and ends. I, uh... may have a problem with never throwing things away. TIANA: A lot of my jewelry is from lot sales conducted by my aunt. I suppose most of the reason I have so much of it is to feel closer to my family, though I make some of it myself, too. RYOUJI: I collect... what do I collect, actually? I collect dust from sitting in one place for so long. Haha. I’m kidding, I’m always on my feet, please god send help I just want to sleep. TRISTAN: I don’t see the point in keeping so much stuff. Not to sound like a cleaning show host, but collecting things is such a waste of time, space, and money. No offense. KANEMORI: I don’t usually care about things but I got one of those little, what are they called, aquabead bracelets? From a sponsor? And suddenly my house is full of cheap bracelets. Especially those thin vinyl ones, those are the best. Why has my life come to this though.
“Do they dress for looks or comfort? What’s their fashion angle?”
CHIYO: I’d say looks are... most of it? I mean, of course I want to be comfortable, but ultimately I don’t think I’m ever going to stop worrying about passing. It does help that I genuinely like skirts and dresses and stuff, although I’m still kinda insecure about showing too much skin. I like the aesthetic of Howl’s Moving Castle, so I think that’s the kind of fashion I’d like to wear - something simple and crisp. AMAL: For me, fashion is definitely comfort over appearance. I haven’t really thought about what I wear in a while. Bates says I look like a wannabe TA who’s currently sucking up to the professor and I am ACTIVELY CHOOSING to view that as a compliment. Fuck you, Bates. TATSUMARU: In all honesty, what I wear every day is only a slight modification of what I wear onstage. I haven’t even thought about what I would wear if not this. Although this cloak is nice. SENTAROU: Are you kidding? Comfort all the way, but because of my stupid job I have to look at least somewhat professional. Hence, the tuxedo jacket. This is my life hack or whatever, I just toss it on if I need to look fancy. If I had my way, I’d be wearing T-shirts and jackets all the time. I’m not interested in looking nice for other people’s enjoyment, thank you very much. IRIS: As much as I’d love to dress up, I don’t leave my house very often, so there’s really no point in wearing anything fancy. I guess off the shoulder tops would be cute? I don’t really know. Oh, but if societal standards weren’t a thing, I’d love to have a pair of those kiddie butterfly wings! ASTER: ... I mean assuming what I’m wearing right now is close to my normal clothes, I guess this is looking a lot like function over form. But given the option, I think I’d wear more patterns. Like, yeah, I like simple clothing items, but I also want to wear some kind of personality, y’know? I’d keep this jacket, for example. But I want patterns on my pants. CLAUDE: It’s a mix of both for me! Just, y’know, my idea of “comfort” doesn’t exactly match with other people’s. I try to go for an approachable but fashionable vibe! Thin, large sweater tops, scarves, I’d basically be the poster child of every men’s fashion catalogue if I could be, ahaha. HIRONO: Definitely comfort. I’m used to being overlooked, so I may as well be comfortable. Though I’m told if I dress in a suit and fold my arms, my glare is impressive enough to melt holes in steel. I guess that’s kind of cool, but I’d still rather have people to talk to, y’know. ALEXEI: Comfort. Yes, this includes the cape. The cape is comfort. I am comfortable being dramatic and unknowable to man. Fuck off if you have a problem. RIRIKA: Looks, of course. It’s a little hard for me not to be detail oriented, considering my talent and everything, and besides, dressing nicely makes me feel more confident. I like layering things and using repetitive colors or patterns to tie outfits together. Sometimes I’ll focus all of my energy into an outfit in order to kill God or something. I don’t know. TSUKINO: I don’t know what this is! I wish I could be more punkish when I’m flying with like spikes and everything but noooo apparently that’s a “safety hazard” and “a distraction to the instructor”. Well, joke’s on you, safety instructor, but my normal flight clothes have studs on them ANYWAY. I’m gonna fight the establishment in every way, bitch! BRENDAN: It’s comfort. It’s absolutely just for comfort. I’ve had this jacket since I was 12, 13...? I bought it two sizes too big and it’s so worn out now that I’ve had to sew patches into it, but I hate throwing anything away so I just keep it. So I guess my fashion sense is just... “shabby”. I don’t mind, though! I think it gives me character. TIANA: Looks are MUCH more important than comfort when it comes to clothes. A good outfit can make or break someone’s perception of you. Though I don’t like to wear full business attire every day and I can’t imagine doing so at this time, I think it’s wise to at least have a decent collared shirt at all times. As for my shorts and socks... I think I just have a look going on here. Besides, gyaru fashion is quite cute. So roll with it. RYOUJI: Uh... At this point, imma keep it real with you, my fashion sense is a game of “how androgynous can I go without my parents suspecting anything”. I’m kind of dying in this, considering the heat of wearing two layers and a binder, but I also don’t care anymore. I guess I’m okay wearing T-shirts and stuff if I don’t have anywhere to be, but I’d like to at least LOOK competent, you know? TRISTAN: I’m wearing socks and sandals as we speak. So take a guess. I look exactly like a stereotypical gamer because it’s true. KANEMORI: Weird as this is to say, I favor both. I’m never far from a spotlight, between me and my parents and everything, so I have to look at least kind of presentable at all times. Which sucks, but it’s what I grew up with, so I guess that’s just how my life is. I’m used to just wearing T-shirts and stuff. If I had to wear a tie I guess I’d just choke or something.
For Hirono: What's your favorite genre of music?
EKYOU: Uh... anything, I guess? I have what’s described as “eclectic” taste. But I promise I’ll listen to anything people show me, and I’ll do my best to like it!
Uhmm for Iris: How would your ideal romantic date be?
SUMITAMA: E-eh?? This is super cheesy, but... I like the idea of a traditional date! A fancy dinner with candles and everything. SUMITAMA: Oh, but outside of that, I’d really enjoy a date where I can do things I love with someone I love! Walking around a botanical garden, or having a library day... As long as it’s free. I need to save money for textbooks. College courses are evil, don’t do them.
for ryouji: do you keep your room as clean as you keep the kitchen?
ATSUI: HAHAHAHAHA no I wish. ATSUI: The kitchen thing isn’t so much my rules as my parents’ rules, but it’s good to follow - if your kitchen is a mess you’re going to knock something over and regret everything. This may or may not be from personal experience. ATSUI: But my room?? That’s my HOME. That’s my PRIVATE AREA. I’m going to trip over everything in it and no one can say shit. ATSUI: I should probably start picking up all the laundry though.
Alexei, what is the most beautiful bird you have ever seen and why do you think is the most beautiful?
BAZHANOV: Pigeons are underrated. They have iridescent feathers and yet we as humans still consider them nuisances. It’s a shame. BAZHANOV: I would say something real deep about the nature of humanity to ignore beauty but I’m pretty sure that people hate them because they shit everywhere. Which is fair enough, I suppose.
For Chiyo: This is going to sound really dumb, but do you like to read? If so, what sorts of things do you like to read (genre-wise)?
CHIYO: I like kids books a lot more than young adult stuff. You know how young adult novels these days are always either “gritty sci-fi suspense” or “vaguely Eurocentric fantasy” or “heartwarming realistic fiction”? Kids stories are a lot more creative. And with a lot less pointless death. CHIYO: As for what kind of stories, I think fantasy/sci-fi is nice! Especially books that lean on fairytale elements and mythology, it’s like a history lesson and story at once! CHIYO: But, uh, I don’t understand that series with the talking cats. I tried to read it a few times but I think that’s just something you have to get into as a child.
(This is going off Western genres I don’t actually know shit abt Japanese novels)
Tsukino, do you have a celebrity crush?
CHISAKI: THE LEAD SINGER OF R3BELS OBVIOUSLY.
Does Alexei just have the one mask or does he have multiple for different outfits/occasions
BAZHANOV: Just the one. It’s surprisingly hard to track down decent and inexpensive masks for dramatic occasions. I wish I had more, but it’s also not as if I have the money to procure them. BAZHANOV: ... Unrelated, how feasible is it to break into a bank?
hirono, how did you start ōendan?
EKYOU: After... well, after some family things happened, my oldest brother Rousei thought that I needed something to do. He said ōendan would be good because I’m good at cheering for people, and he said it’s what he did in high school, too. So... I guess I gave it a shot? I’m glad I can encourage people to do their best!! But it’s just not something I’m super into for the sake of myself. But I’m at HPA now, so I shouldn’t be ungrateful, it’s just.... Yeah. EKYOU: Plus, I haven’t had time to pursue photography... It’s kind of driving me up the wall.
If tsukino could do anything other than her talent hat would she do?
CHISAKI: It would be my GOD GIVEN RIGHT as an individual to join some kind of band and go break some hearts and make like ten million dollars! But I’m kinda tone deaf! ... Not like that matters for the kind of music I’m into but hey!!
