The thing is that besides them two, and ofc the villain, the rest of the people that get miraculous they only get them temporarily when chat noir and ladybug need help.

THE THING IS that who chooses who gets the miraculous in the og series is marinette?, like ok shes a very good ladybug but i find it kinda nonsense that she being a 14yo teenager gets trusted by the miraculous guardian (whos like, old af) to choose who gets supernatural power????? idk but personally doesnt make sense to me, i would understand it if she had like atleast A DECADE of experience with them but she barely has any ;-;

So how the fuck do they even get them in the first place? Easy! They found them! This universe follows the same prompt as the og one where nineteen of the miraculous were sheltered by the order of the guardians (Ppl designated to take care of them), BUT on this AU said order would eventually fall apart/perish for a reason i havent figured out yet LOL on my behalf i just made this au like, yesterday LMAO

After this happened, the miraculous they sheltered got lost, and since the Order was erradicated, there was no one that would actively search for them. SO some time later, mr prototype found an old book that told the tale about the miraculous and blablabla and the infinite power that the black cat and ladybug miraculous give to whoever lands their hands on them, and so he decided to hire investigators and archeologists to find these precious jewels he learned about. Although he didn't find the black cat and ladybug miraculous, he did find the butterfly and peacock. Then after a while, catnap and dogday found the ladybug and black cat miraculous. So going back to your question (too many words just to get here LOL), i still need to develop this au some more, but im planning to make dogday very interested in the miraculous thing, therefore while investigaating them them out of pure curiosity, and adding that the ladybug miraculous makes him luckier he would actually get to find some of them. This said, the rest of the critters could get one on two situations, 1) like dogday and catnap, they get lucky enough to find one, 2) a little like on the og story, in a very very VERY VERY VERY (emphazise on V E R Y) fucked up situation they might encounter, as the critters are good friends to dogday and catnap, they could give them one of the ones they found, but again this would be on a VERY fucked up situation

if i had to choose which one of them to give a miraculous it would prob be either crafty or kickin mainly bc they are the ones that dogday trust the most besides catnap, or in a very specific situation bubba could get one too, a Felix like situation where he steals one from the prototype but on this case it would be out of greedyness lol, very much like layla

i think it’s rlly important to view old art more from the perspective of the feelings u had making it rather than the actual content of the art itself. sure, ur artistic skills have improved a lot over the years, and maybe when ur looking back at ur older work u see a lot of flaws in it - weird anatomy, bad lighting, articles of clothing that don’t make sense, etc (not saying ur old art has any of these i’m just listing examples i’ve had in my own lol) - but u had fun making it !! it’s a drawing of something u loved and still love, and it served its purpose as an outlet to express that love. when people go back and like those old drawings, they’re not seeing it for its flaws - they’re seeing it for the love it represents, a love they probably feel themselves. while it’s good to critique ur own work to some extent for the sake of improvement, people liking ur old stuff is far from cringe-worthy! it’s just someone enjoying something u once enjoyed too, like an internet happiness hand-me-down :)

again, this sort of mindset has rlly helped me personally - i don’t feel as nervous about drawing or posting, bc im just having fun !! it’s ok if it’s kind of janky or has weird details, it was made with love and people can see and appreciate that. nobody ever stops improving or seeing flaws in their work, so its best to focus more on the joy it gave u and push urself towards improvement with the promise of even more joy rather than forcing urself to improve under the threat of feeling ashamed of ur creations

it kinda plays with the themes of hourglass’s deceit and the false hope given to you by the game. smth that i kinda noticed is that a lot of outside material (aside from the trailer but erm bear w me) uses a blue color palette while a lot of the innards of the game (think like . the hour screens and the death screen! + also the extras menu) are red, even the rooms themselves have color palettes thatre on the warmer side.

this also kindof gets hammered in by hourglass’s design, whose color palette mostly consists of white and light beiges. Which is kinda funny when you consider what meanings white usually has. Purity and innocence, which are things that hourglass is FARR from. White also symbolizes rebirth and new beginnings, which makes sense since yknow he was summoned into the real world and does see his vessels as reborn versions of their old selves. The innocence part also ties into the way he sees his makeshifts, as the reason he made them in disneys image was to “corrupt” something innocent.

I feel like most of it is just me thinking of these complex settings (which is why I like AUs sm) and then just writing down the words that I think of. tbh idek if my writing is good or not 💀I just try my best ig. and like I've read a lot since I was little so that helps with knowing how to write like... better? idek im making no sense lmaooo

L - "how many times do you usually revise your fic/chapter before posting?"

it depends how long the fic sits rotting in my drafts. cause sometimes I write a fic in a day, and then the words just flow together so I do very little edited even I barely proof read 💀 but when its been in my drafts for a while and I've written like the beginning or smth before finishing it, I'll always re-read all of it and then re-write as much as I think is needed so it all makes sense and I can refresh my memory. Infamous together actually took a rly long time. It was originally supposed to be based on like that one halloween thing txt did where they all had spy code names. And Taehyun was "black card" and I was gonna use that as a big thing in the fic. But then I struggled with it for so long, and left it for m o n t h s. and then I finally found a way to finish it. But I actually erased everything I had written before and started completely fresh for that which sometimes happens.

S - "any fandom tropes you can't resist?"

hands down enemies to lover or rivals to lovers with taehyun. like I've written that... 3 times I think? okay hmmmmm my love language is quality time and acts of service because i like spending time with the people i care about, whether we’re doing something extremelyyy exciting or just lazing around all day at home. i’m typically down for anything (within reason lol) as long as it’s something my partner wants and loves to do. it can be hard for me to vocalize my own emotions too, so to show people i love them, i like to help them out in any way i can—even if it’s the smallest things 

for love languages to look for in someone, i’d say it would be words of affirmation and physical touch. there’ll be times where i get too sucked into my own head that my thoughts will get the best of me, so having someone that could bring me back to reality with some comforting words would be nice <3 and while i do tend to stray away from physical touch, i weirdly crave it too (i’m actually just awkward when people hug me or smth lmao like it looks like i don’t enjoy it, but i really do- just don’t know how to show it properly)

most of my hobbies revolve around music lolol like i play the violin, sing, and i’d like to pick up the guitar soon. chronically listening to things on spotify and i also love a bunch of musicals. random karaoke sessions, too. lately i’ve been writing a bunch, but i also like wasting time reading novels, webcomics, manga, watching anime, etc. and i don’t really mind my partner’s hobbies; whatever they enjoy and like to do is perfect

ROOK oh he absolutely loves spending time with you, you're both usually a bit busy but as soon as you two have time he'll immediately break into come over to your house to spend as much time as possible with you, rook would love to be able to watch a movie or a musical with you, rook would enjoy talking about it as it plays but in case that annoys you he'll keep to himself until it ends and then he can talk about it, if you don't like talking about movies/musicals then he'll just if you enjoyed it and then ask if he can put another one

there is little rook enjoys more than praising you and talking about how awesome you are and if you think he does it a lot to you then you haven't seen how much he talks about you to literally anyone else, everyone on that school has at least once been told about how much of an amazing lover you are some of them think it's cute some thinks it's funny and some are so done they just want you both to graduate and get married already so they'll have peace

after you play to rook he'll beg for a duet, it would mean so much to him to be able to sing by your side, especially if the song was a special song to you both, he'll treasure that memory for the rest of his life.

rook loves to take you out on dates and since you both love musicals a lot of the dates have to do with them, after the musical ends rook plans to make an amazing dinner for the both of you and talk about the musical

rook loves writing so when he discovers it's something you enjoy too he'll be over the moon, he'll ask if he can see your works and if you let him he'll be so so happy, in exchange he'll show you his poems, but not the ones like he writers for vil no, he shows you the his personal poems, poems that talk about his private life and he looks really flustered while you read them but he smiles softly the whole time, trust is something really important for rook and he wants to show you that he truly does care and trust you and hopes that you feel the same towards him

rook understands that he can be a lot some times so whenever he senses you're getting overwhelmed he'll immediately stop or remove the situation and take you to a quiet place so that you can recover, he'd ask you if you want him to leave or stay and depending on your answer he'd either kiss your forehead and leave with a smile or stay by your side holding your hand and quietly enjoying your company
