Jokes aside, I think he'd really enjoy a taller s/o, no matter what your height is. HE LOVES IT. You can't tell me that he doesn't get all flustered and giddy over the height difference, I won't believe you if you do. One thing that I believe he'd love to do would take mirror pics with you. Like, the way that you can see that you're taller in the picture just makes him smile for some reason (he's whipped). His phone's wallpaper is most definitely a picture of you two like that. I also believe that he thinks it's cute the way he has to tiptoe to kiss your cheek (it is).

You can be the taller one, but he's the one defending you and giving you the royalty treatment all the way. One thing that I think he'd love tho is to steal your clothes. So like, if you left a sweatshirt in his place or something like this, don't expect to have it back so soon. ahh, steven st.one. a wild card in my f/o list. i never thought i'd find myself to like him... i've always tried my best to avoid the pretty boy design after i've gotten older which is why i was oddly in denial during my early steven days hehe... the earliest memory i have of him is just me battling him in my ruby emulator back in the 4th grade - but i don't think i actually remembered him too well, i only thought he looked like a silly anime version of the classical composer be.ethoven and tbh, i still like to think he does look like him in the rse style lolll 💜

for the whole, actual story - it was just last year - i was reading the r/s arc, of course. it was one of those days in school where i had nothing much to do and snuck my phone to read manga to pass some time. at some point, my classmate joined to read with me - it was at this moment where steven debuts properly and it caught my classmate by Surprise. she thought he looked very handsome! to which i teased her... strangely enough, this exchange impacted me? maybe it's because someone acknowledged what i was doing and even bothered to briefly read along with me - so in a way steven kinda bookmarked that memory.

so after that exchange, i just kept on reading. everytime he had something to say, i couldn't help but just stare at his face? he looked nice, i guess? he's also very gentle and polite... i kept this thought of mine for quite sometime until i was discussing the manga arc with my p.okespe mutual and he mentioned him. i somewhat confessed he looked nice and that was the biggest mistake i've ever done because what my friend did after was absolutely blow me with art after art of the pretty rock collector and i was STRUGGLING. it ultimately came down to this one cute panel in the o.ras chapter where he was blushing and I wasn't the same person since then 🚶🚶🚶and funnily enough, i told myself I wasn't going to fall for anyone because of the manga and whoopedoo p.okespe!steven my beloved the greatest man ever. i mean i love the game counterpart as well, they're nearly identical - it's just the manga that totally swept me... sighhhh

steven is such a nice character to begin with, he's honestly a very humble and nice champion. he's not showy about his identity and would rather be alone by himself to indulge in what he wants. he is willing to give up a very respectable position in the po.kemon league just to pursue his interests and with that i see a man not after power and fame but a man who just wants to find joy in what he does even if it demotes him. on top of that, he's just a sweet gentleman. he was raised well of course, and you can see it clearly in his acts in the story. i love him very much for that and who wouldn't want those traits?

i was really absolutely embarrassed to be all over this guy at first - it took a whole month for me to actually share to my blog about how i liked steven and took awhile to adjust to that fact that i opened up about it 😭 but the community was very kind and supportive about the pairing and if i'm being honest, i think stevaide made a super lasting impact on my blog recently and it's really so comforting to picture them as a young loving married couple with ruby. it made me feel unashamed with what i can do with my silly ships. i'm still very glad for the endless support for steven and jaide.

I was curious about your thoughts on yandere Towa x MC (or a self insert character or - just anyone that isn't Haru.) Do you think his love for his partner would outweigh the platonic love/familial love for Haru? Personally I think it would be both a slow and fast progression. Towa acknowledging his romantic feelings and being jealous? That would happen very quickly. But Towa putting MC or romantic interest above Haru? That would take a bit more time, just because the two know each other for a long time. But how long would it take for Towa to value his love interest more than Haru? But I'm curious what Towa would do if Haru starts to like his romantic interest, or gets too close.. would Towa be okay with it? Or does his trust for Haru outweigh that?

When I received it, I found it such an interesting idea but I kept delaying it because I wanted to be in the "correct" headspace to give it a good answer, but it turns out that if I keep waiting I'll never do anything so I'll just give it a shot now!! Again, I'm so sorry this took so long, I hope you'll see this 😭

Firstly, I do think Towa already is a yandere character! Probably due to his whimsical nature and inhuman qualities tbh, but he does act like one (he tries to kill Ren just so it can be only him and Haru again ffs 😭). And with his obsession towards romance, I think he genuinely would be a VERY dangerous love interest...

But despite all that, I imagine that Towa kind of compartmentalizes his feelings. Like, his familial love for Haru is in a completely different box than romantic love (or what he idealizes romantic love to be). There would be no such thing as someone being more important than Haru, because Haru and his s/o are important in very different ways. I think he would be able to kinda separate them in that way.

And like you said, with his s/o, things would move very quickly. As soon as he realized (or decided) he had romantic feelings for them, it'd turn intense right away. He still does his own thing and lets Haru fulfill his duties while he's frolicking on the fields lol but with his s/o? He'd be stuck on them like glue. Jealous, possessive, clingy, he's the whole package.

NOW REGARDING YOUR LAST QUESTION... THAT'S SO HARD!!!!! I really want to say his trust in Haru would outweigh everything, but I'm not 100% sure on that. I don't think Towa's idea of romance would be very healthy, so if he saw Haru being too close or having a crush on what he considers HIS, I think that would have....... really bad consequences. And probably not to Haru, but to his s/o. Maybe he'd act like his s/o was betraying him by "making" Haru fall for them, since he thinks romance is magical and all that 💀

But at the same time, I don't believe Haru would DO any of that either, you know? He's so attuned to Towa's behavior, I think he'd steer clear of anyone that Towa ends up falling for.

That's such a tough question though!!! I really like thinking about Towa too, he's such an interesting character aaaaaahhhhh

hi this is kind of random but. ive seen a few posts so far from people in the fandom expressing they don't like/aren't interested in mikayuu anymore and i was curious if you knew why? it's been like a long time since i was into ons (like 2018? 😭) so im pretty out of the loop and was wondering if smth crazy happened ig lol 😭

I'm more of a recent addition to the fandom (watched/read ons for the 1st time in 2021 lol) but here's what I observed I think (not sure if you've read the manga but just in case huge spoiler warning)(also I may or may not be biased against them since my favs are the vampires and shinoa squad without mikayuu lol):

- there is just too much of them. Obviously they're the main characters but ons always had a colorful cast of characters and a lot of them (mainly Shinoa squad tbh) were sidelined during the shibuya arc and basically turned into cardboard cutouts that shout "Yuu!" every few chapters. Though they did get their personalities back in ch 133, it took way too long imo.

- Mikayuu barley changed as people and their relationship stayed basically the same. Once they reunited and Mika 'joined' Shinoa squad their relationship dynamic could be boiled down to: Yuu is kinda stupid and wants to do smth bc fAmLIy or whatever, Mika disagrees, Yuu does the equivalent of puppy dog eyes, Mika begrudgingly agrees, Yuu gets what he wants with minimal consequenz. After a while it's just not interesting to have the main character constantly winning. Heck, Mika's 'death' and demon transformation barley did anything in the long run.

Like at one point, it got brought up that Mika is losing his emotions for everything except Yuu, which was a pretty interesting idea and could have brought conflict into their realtionship. But a few weeks later (in-story, took a few years irl lol) Mika gets turned into a demon, regains his emotions and the former conflict is left in the dust.

Now with Mika as a demon, he lost all of his agency. He is literally stuck to Yuu and the most he can do against him is refuse to give him power but Yuu can just force it out of him so. Pretty fucked.

After they split off from the main group post Shibuya arc, they once again have an inkling of a conflict.

For context, they split off bc Yuu had to either choose between resurrecting humanity or only Mika (at least that's how Guren phrased it). Yuu's gayass chose Mika and at first they had an argument bc Mika doesn't value his life and would rather have everyone revived at his expense. Yuu goes 'nuh-uh' and makes a run for it, devoures Asuramaru/Ashera in the process.

Once they've run off, Mika confornts Yuu and shouts at him, saying he should have a happy life with his human family instead of Mika. Yuu once again goes "nuh-uh" and decides to revive all of humanity, Mika included.

- They restate their goal, plans and whatnot too much. Ons is a monthly manga with ~35 pages per chapter. In Mikayuu centric chapters, almost half (if not all) are wasted on restating the goals they've stated LAST FUCKING CHAPTER. Maybe Kagami doesn't trust the readers memory but man, you didn't do this before, did you? Why now all of a sudden? There's plenty of plot to get through, we can reread old chapters if we forget something.

There's also way too much goofing around. Obviously down-time is needed in any action packed series but we've gotten so much random cut-ins of Yuu needing food in what are supposed to be tense moments. Also we do not need an entire chapter of them hunting, eating and talking about their plans and others plans.

okay i found you today after someone reblogged junky pride and holy motherfucking shit you are a brilliant writer of both plot and smut... there are a lot of incredible authors in this fandom but for real i am truly blown away! your style is really distinct and captivating and i hope this series gets more attention as it circulates on here because the people need to become acquainted with trailer park joel ffs! oyur note after pt 2 about a tentative depressing ending already hurts too much and i want to refute it lmao. i hope that changes but i do get how that hurt is really interesting in fiction. i fear i will not recover though, my benevolent author. i am on the edge of my seat and i look forward to all future parts - truly truly not in the weird pressure-y way because i'm just happy to have come across this at all and excited to re-read. p.s. not to be super dramatic but i am morbidly curious if you write for your job or if you study english or writing because i'm like "this bitch (affectionately ofc) is a fucking poet!!!!!!"

complimenting my style is truly one of the highest honours. a lot of the time, (and I'm sure many writers can relate) i get awfully insecure about the way i write - feeling it comes across as messy or too diverted from the main idea so to hear something like this is really special to me. also yeah...depressing endings. they've kinda been my brand over my writing journey lmao. idk i get wrapped up in the melancholia and find it so much more interesting to write than simple fluff, although i do love that too.

howeverrrrr, i do want to continue with junky pride, if only slowly. deadlines stress me out so I never want to promise anything and then not act on it. i constantly have unfinished works in my google docs so i wanted to kinda leave part two of junky pride with somewhat of a conclusion. again, for my own peace of mind i won't tell you for sure that i'll get part three out but we'll see where it goes!!

also, i wish i wrote for my job lol. i don't study creative writing which is my true passion but I do study english literature, and i've read a lot of books in my time. also lots of fanfiction. there were two arthur morgan fics i read a year ago that i hold very dear to my heart and have been a major source of inspiration for transforming my writing from something simplistic to something much more well-rounded and substantial. i've also been writing fanfiction on and off for about two years now, so i've had a lot of practice!!

either way, i thank you again. you really made my night, anon!! tbh, seeing lots of my fave blogs like and reblog junky pride (and indebted to you which I think has gained me more traction on this app lmao) has truly made me so happy!! i can't describe how appreciative i am towards anyone who liked, or even just read my work ♡

ok so far it's like. fine? which is lowkey sad coz i wish it was smtg i really liked but it hasn't gripped me yet which is a shame but yknow. early days. i'm giving it time since it's only 15 episodes so far

my main issue is like. i really wish it wasn't so obviously influenced by bbc but it just so clearly is which is a shaaame like it's better than bbc in every aspect but yknow. not a high bar to clear. like it kinda feels like they liked a lot of things abt bbc and set out to fix the bad parts (h&w friendship being nonexistent, the mysteries being shit) but just kept the rest? in some places keeping things that were invented by bbc which is. baffling tbh

i'm not really picky when it comes to h&w personalities like i think it's fine to just do whatever you want w them, i think it's really fun when an adaptation gives them different personalities than what you're used to but, and this is where it feels far too bbc-ish for comfort, i just don't like it when sherlock is a cunt for no reason? like. he's not a mean person he's only mean in bbc coz moffat thought house md was cool and ripped it off. can we stop making him mean pleeeease 😭 he's just some guy..................

h&w relationship wise it's like... ok so i tend to go into adaptations with a fully clean slate so like i never let my general attachment to them influence how i view them in specific adaptations, the work itself needs to sell me on both the characters and the relationship and like... here neither of those really happened yet which makes me sad coz i think by now it should've but i'm giving it time. at least they're friends and i like that watson is useful for cases/knows things holmes doesn't sometimes coz thats like. such an essential element to sh stories for me and a loooottt of adaptations tend to just completely forget it so that's a win but idk if anything they're too tame? like i dont expect a romance but they can't just be casual friends they need to be bat shit crazy about each other. to me. but like maybe that'll develop over the rest of the podcast we'll see

howeverr i am on my hands and knees begging them not to give watson a girlfriend tho like please oh myfffucking god . obvs watsonlock doesn't usually factor into my enjoyment of adaptations given that like. y'know. out of the hundreds out there theres only two where either of them is even gay so it's not something i expect nor require but like. to me it is essential that these two ppl are insane abt each other and don't really have anyone else, definitely noone important. like even the rdj movies got this despite ritchie's obsession w the 2 men 1 woman dynamic so idk why i'm constantly having to wage a war against random unnecessary romances for either watson or, god forbid, holmes. when the only interesting relationship either of these men have is with each other. that one granada holmes quote about them choosing not to include mary coz holmes and watson dont need anyone else etc etc. like i seriously dislike it when they introduce anyone else like cmonnnnnn thog dont care

anyway tldr. i guess if asked to pick a short description i'd say. promising? i hope it's gonna be good in the long run. the way they do mysteries is already something i like so. i hope they keep that up and i hope the h&w relationship evolves into something i enjoy coz so far i'm like. i can see the bones of smtg i'll potentially like but it's not there yet. but also like. this is an indie production i'm listening to for free so ion wanna rip into it these are mainly just what i liked/disliked based on the preferences i developed with this one quick trick (grow up completely insane abt sherlock holmes -> consume every adaptation that you can get your paws on -> no profit)

HI <3 Sheith VC anon here back with a very humble request. So I've read TVL and am currently reading QoTD, just finished the Devil's Minion chapter (oH mY gOD my HEART). I'm going through the books a bit slowly bc life stuff, but I have sooooo many thoughts and feelings and feel like I need to read lots of fic to work through it LOL. I would love it if you could rec me some (or tons of!) fics that wouldn't give me (m)any spoilers re: stuff that happens after this point in the series. I realize this might be a kind of hard/maybe impossible request because a lot of those spoilers would be referring to things that chronologically would have taken place prior to DM for instance, but I'm so starved I thought I might ask just in case! I'm not suuuper partial to any specific ships (Lestat/Louis is a bit boring IMO 😭 but I love them so I'll take it) and I don't have any NOTPs, so I'm down to read pretty much anything (esp if it's spicy and/or hurts my heart and/or features Armand lmao). I don't always remember to tag my own fics but my only post-canon D/A fic is called "In the Trials of the Heart" and all my others are Devil's Minion era and shouldn't spoil anything ! Be aware that the TV fandom and book fandom sometimes overlap so there might be stray TV fics in the book tag; it won't spoil anything bc the TV canon is a completely different story, but it might not make sense if you jump in to read it.
