hi! ~a belated studyblr intro~

just realized i never did a proper intro for this blog!

so, hello, i've been flip flopping between taking lessons and self-studying piano for several years and this blog was (and still is) intended to be a studyblr to track my progress.

i'm currently self-studying as my time is split between this and STEM studies (more on that on my side blog @studentbyday) but i really really hope to finally establish a consistent practice (after struggling to do so for many years 😅) so i know i will be able to handle weekly lessons again 😤

🎓 goals for piano/music studies:

enjoy playing music (including without headphones)

establish sustainable routines so i can practice piano every day or at least every week

get over stage fright and paralyzing perfectionism

improve my sight reading

motivate myself to learn more music theory and use it to analyze my favorite songs

find fellow music enthusiasts on tumblr!

ultimately play piano at an LRCM level 🙈 (as of 2024, i am currently L6-7 in baroque/classical, L8-9 for romantic...yeah, kind of all over the place since I've been treating this very informally over the years and keep taking hiatuses lol)

Heyy guys (all three of y'all that follow me haha)!! I've been here half a year and I've never done an intro, so here I am:

My name is Ema, feel free to call me that or Em/Emi.

I'm a minor! :p

I'm bi, with a preference for blonde people hehe :))

I'm from Slovenia, so my mother tongue is Slovenian but I also speak English (obvi) and I'm learning German, Dutch and Finnish.

I'm really into sports, especially alpine skiing, f1 and volleyball, but I'm getting into tennis as well.

In f1 my faves are Carlos Sainz, Max Verstappen, Charles Leclerc and Yuki Tsunoda! But I also LOVE the old grid especially those cunty 2010's (brocedes, simi, webuttonso)! My fav ships are Lestappen, Maxiel, those previously mentioned old ones and Carlando.

In skiing my faves are Atle and Lucas, and my fav ship is obviously Atlas then. But I also really love all the other Norwegians (yes, including Henrik, I have stopped hating him) +Loïc and Odi.

In volleyball I don't really have a favorite, I'm just rooting for my home country and I love a player that's never on the field (or gets in for a point, does nothing and leaves) (Nik Mijanović core).

In tennis my pookie is Holger but as I've said I'm not that into it yet :(.

Other things I love are Eurovision, Good omens (fuck Neil Gaiman), the marauders fandom (rosekiller are my faves), The umbrella academy, and lots of other tv shows.

I do art, you can scroll through my profile and see some! I would draw basically anything about my obsessions so if you really want something drawn, let me know, I'd do it for free.

Hello! I've been wanting to make a Midori ask blog for a while and I finally got round to doing it so here it is! This is the intro post, I'm just gonna be going over a few rules and boundaries, I would appreciate it if you read this before interacting. Thanks!

This is not meant to be canon, this is just my interpretation of the character and if you think it's inaccurate or you don't like it it's very easy to just not interact. I'm just doing this for fun bc I love Midori :D (I obviously don't support any of her actions though so if you're going to harrass me for liking an evil character go outside and touch grass please 😭)

I headcanon Midori as transfem! She uses she/her! Please do not use he/him or any masculine terms when referring to my version of Midori thank youuu! Also pls do not call her Sou either :D
