Over 2 years ago now my friend invited me to join this very peculiar/pos MAP on Ivypool's story and I still think it is one of the coolest ones out there. Unfortunately this project has never seen the light of day, but I still think I should show it to you(I would love to include the whole progress so far, but I will have to get to the host with that one).

I have finished my part for it(11). As you can see it is not the greatest line stability(I was too stupid to understand that I don't have to make it a single long line with those shaky hands o' mine) and just overall consistency is not present, but it was definitely one of the best animation experiences in my life and I am honestly still proud of it, especially with those transitions and movements.

It was a bunch of things to be honest.

I had a story idea when I was 14 that had a forced marriage in there and the main character just wanted to survive, obviously it didn't go anywhere because I was 14 and didn't even know what I was doing.

When I was like 16 I found this song called Kilmaa (the version by Miyashita Yuu is perfect oml) and that was my main inspiration I think. The story in that is basically this insane guy murders anyone with red eyes because something but spares this one girl because she has heterochromia so not worth killing. Then he abuses her and keeps her around and somehow along the way grows a soft spot for her. Meanwhile the girl is dead inside like she's been through so much and finally she snaps and kills him at the end.

It's such a good song in my opinion and the storyline had me okay, I love it a lot. It's a trilogy, go listen to it. 🙏

Then I got into reading revenge manhwas which I feel like is self explanatory at this point.

So at 19 when I found interactive fiction games I was like "wow I want to do this" I just took everything in my brain and served it to all of you. 🫶

Fact about me that will only be understood and potentially found amusing by a niche amount of people: oddly, the first Vocaloid project I found myself getting into was Shuuen no Shiori and then Kagerou Project. I clicked on a Kagerou Days thumbnail thinking it was a PART of Shuuen no Shiori, lol.

his bracket/poll won't be until next week, but here's more k'pheli/sae'pheli'ehva propaganda, for the wol tourney run by @woltourney ! these sketches are messy bc the lack of spoons hit ahaha

the appearances are as follows, left-to-right top-to-bottom: A Realm Reborn, Syrcus Tower alliance raid (Crystal Tower questline), midway through Stormblood, Labyrinth of the Ancients alliance raid (Crystal Tower questline), post-Crystal Tower questline. and a doodle of k'pheli and g'raha (from just before ST raid)

some notes under the cut, bc these got rambly oops:

k'pheli has two names! technically "k'pheli tia" is the second one, and sae'pheli'ehva is the first one; it's due to the worldbuilding of the au he's in, which i might elaborate on at some point later. but both names are equally valid and he'll answer to either of them

technically he's a self-insert but i added lore for how that works, so in-universe he's the incarnation of a god responsible for creating the plane of existence. because of this he does radiate divinity sometimes, though other times he's just some guy. in-universe he's also worshipped bc people (g'raha) Notice the divinity and go (in the tone of the history of the world and everything) "we should make a religion out of this" and then they did.

adding onto that, because the god he's an incarnate of had black hair, the more he's worshipped the darker sae'pheli'ehva's hair gets, and it'll eventually turn black. the blue streaks are crystal (as is the lighter blue eye), and the blue streaks are to do with him being the crystal god (because the whole religion that worships him popped up around mor dhona and the crystal tower -- i'll elaborate on this later)

after g'raha gets sealed away, the tips of his ears and tail turn black permanantly while the rest returns to the original pink color, and k'pheli cuts his hair short. it grows out from HW to post-SB, where it ends up going down to about his waist.

he's got chronic aether sickness and due to divine nature creates a ton of aether-filled crystals to try and lessen the amount of aether in his body. all of the crystal jewelry that he wears is made by his own hands and he'll give out any crystals he makes for free. as a gift.

k'pheli is afab genderfluid but uses he/him for convenience; the little marks at the corner of his eyes are actually tattoos to match what a male miqo'te's face marks would look like, but he's too lazy to cover up his other natural ones.

the crystal streaks in his hair increase over time, though by post-SB they've stopped growing. they're just sorta there.

his canine teeth are made of crystal, as are his claws. he loses about 60% of his tail around the waking sands incident (yknow, when pretty much everyone is killed) and regrows the missing 60% as crystal (though this is somewhat a painful process)

technically this image is inaccurate, since he isn't learning archery until the crystal tower questline (g'raha is the one to teach him the basics) and only tears through archer/bard quests after the world of darkness when g'raha gets sealed away. it made for a good visual contrast with the dragoon armor though so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

since he's a gelmorran miqo'te (more on this on another day), he's naturally taller than other miqo'te. gelmorran miqo'te are generally the same height as elezen, but poor k'pheli is short. luckily for him, short for a gelmorran miqo'te is tall for any other miqo'te, and as such he's several inches taller than his beloved g'raha. perfect height difference to rest his chin on g'raha's head and hug the allagan history nerd from behind.

i couldn't think of what to put in the bottom right corner initially so i just put that little g'raha/k'pheli doodle there. the ship of the two of them has a name and it's crystalline connection, bc i like my themes. and yes g'raha has freckles, it's what he deserves. k'pheli will trace the freckles in an invisible constellation with his fingers, as one does

the one crystal eye has a white pupil because i thought it looked cool and also something something divine eye. i dunno the vibes are neat

i have not actually played SB or post-SB or ShB (i've been watching a letsplay) due to being a free trial player, so any of sae'pheli'ehva's outfits from post-HW or onwards have yet to be properly ironed down. oops. if you see inconsistency in outfits due to this, don't worry about it! it's gucci!

Damon Sees Ghosts - Entry#4 !Ch1 Spoilers!

The final story-progressing entry for now. I've been busy lately, but I look forward to putting my ao3 account to good use for this AU someday, or making art for this AU.

The following were supposed to be scenes for an MV animatic, but I wasn't able to finish it. Still, have what I was able to make^^

This animatic uses the song Kilmaa by Niru Kajitsu AKA NILFRUITS, with the cover being done by Miyashita Yuu.

The topic of this video was supposed to shed light on the ghosts watching the living.

These may not be the best predictions, but for the sake of the world not being at a standstill, I feel obligated to depict what was happening outside of Damon's room.

I think Diana would try her best to follow in Wolfgang's footsteps, but try to make up for what he didn't do, which was to include every student in plans to escape the killing game. However, due to the events of the first trial, I don't think anyone would believe in her efforts.

Also, her new haircut paired with taking one of Wolfgang's jackets... Such a change would spark a memory for Wolfgang... At least, I think.

As for Grace, I think she'd be one of the most vocal skeptics among the cast, second to Wenona. The only person in the killing game she felt okay to be vulnerable around has died due to his trust in others. If trust and kindness got such a good man killed, Grace would decide to withdraw from the others. The least she could do for Wolfgang was to not get herself killed or have anyone mislead.

Now, she carries around a golf club to protect herself from would-be attackers.

Now for the other plot point, Tozu's letter. The latter half of the animatic was supposed to be about Tozu confronting Damon about a certain something that I won't disclose. I still have hope I'll find time to reveal what happens through a fic for the DSG AU or another entry in the near future.

This may be the last Tumblr entry for now. But, if you want to ask questions about this AU, I won't mind^^ Perhaps I'll also make some Tumblr content for this AU, though it won't progress the story and probably just work on what I've already said.

Because you said that you don't mind me ranting before about my MC before, I hope you don't mind me ranting about another one of my MCs here, hehehe. Unfortunately I lack friends in RL and Online that likes interactive fictions, especially with horror elements. They're more of visual novel kind of people but I feel the need to yap. 🥲

After Glenn, there's Liliana, Liliana Scarborough. A graceful, charismatic and talented lady with hidden sides of fangs and fire forged by her tragic past. Another of My MC in metropolitan route, currently pursuing Narciso's romantic route.

I created Liliana after I become obsessed with history and stories of courtesan around the world, their part in society in history as a whole and their relation to arts. So trigger warning: there's mentions of abuse, murder, and assault. But, there won't be explicit details.

I take inspiration from Kalmia from Kilmaa (Song from Shama Trilogy by NILFRUITS), Sakuran (Manga by Moyoco Anno), Akane Kurokawa (Oshi no Ko), Subject R (from a gacha game called Path to Nowhere), History of Mata Hari and Marrilyn Monroe to some extents.

For Liliana's appearances, I mostly take inspiration from Subject R, a mysterious beauty from Path to Nowhere, though I imagine Liliana skin to be more darker. Subject R is also calculating and playful to a degree, she's a character that chase after truth and freedom. For her background, I take most inspiration from Kalmia, a girl forced into a life of slavery who later take back her freedom by killing her oppressor (If you are curious, here's the link for the music video and song cover: https://youtu.be/g_ryxSMlouo?si=wJEfC38PUufkUUPv ) .

Sakuran Manga because it tackles the sensitive topic about the pride, internal conflict, and struggle of a Tayu (High Ranking Oiran). How despite their high status in the red light district, they were never actually free. Also their complicated relationship with love.

Akane Kurokawa for her high empathy, deductive skill, and talent in profiling that allows her to become a talented actress. With this ability, it will allows Liliana to play the perfect 'role' of her client's ideal woman. Akane is also devoted to her loved ones, willing to go to extreme measures if her loved ones needed too. A side that Liliana I want Liliana to have.

Mata Hari for her talent in exotic dance and seduction prowess, also her courage in the face of adversity; and Marilyn Monroe for her complicated relationship with fame, of how it essentially made her a symbol, how it affected her personal life and relationships. How 'Marilyn Monroe' is basically Norma Jean's stage persona that she could switch on and off.

Unlike Glenn, her past is more patented so I will tell a short summary of it, though it's still ended up quite long. Forgive me. 😅

Born as Julia Campbell, her beloved parents died in a house fire. She later was taken in by her abusive aunt that treat her as a servant before selling her to a brothel to settle her own debt (caused by gambling addiction) with the Madame. After being sold she was trained to be a Honored Courtesan in ways to entertain the high class elites with sexual favors, intelligent conversation and artistic pleasure by dancing. She grow close to other courtesans there especially with a senior Courtesan, Ruby, whom she saw as an older sister. Meanwhile, the madame formed a love-hate parental bond with Julia.

Before Julia's debut, Ruby, the currently most popular Courtesan in the city was killed. Despite being devastated, to prevent significant loss that could affect the other courtesans whom she already saw as family, Julia took on Ruby's mantle and take the stage name Sapphire, who eventually becomes the new brigthest Jewel on the stage.

Due to her fame and beauty, a mob boss grow obsessive over the prospect of 'owning' her, he pull strings behind the scene, creating accidents and sowing discord in an effort to gain her love, and when she rejected him, he becomes enraged and assaulted her. So remember ask about Narciso's previous name? Yeah, it's mine. The mob boss name is Maximilian (and unfortunately it rhymes with Maximilien) 😅.

Outraged and fed up, Julia soon stage a revolt with the other courtesans. She shot the mob boss and killed his subordinates before burning the brothel down. The Madame found Julia before she ran away, they share a few words before the madam asked Julia to kill her. Julia reluctantly agree because leaving the madame alive will only force the burden of the revolt onto her, probably damning the madame to a life worse than death.

Julia parts way with the other courtesans, because she is officially deemed as the mastermind for the revolt and became wanted by the surviving members of the mob. She throw away her birth name and took on the name Liliana, combination of lily flowers (that represent purity, life, rebirth and remembrance) and Diana (The Madame's real name). Her last name Scarborough, is from the ballad song Scarborough Fair (I took liberty to pretend that it already exist in that time period hehe~) which Ruby usually sings to calm her down.

She skip towns and crossed ocean before she finally settle down in a far away village for years as a bohemian. Then she got sick by the plague and the rest is in the story~

Well here you go folks, one of the most tragic MC backgrounds I have created 👍. I pictured her with Narciso because of their slightly similar past and because it's about damn time this woman received some comforting presence and gentleness in her life after years of having to live as a symbol and fulfilling expectations forced upon her. Oh, I certainly don't mind - on the contrary, I love reading about people's main character, and I'm really impressed by how creative you people are! There is such a story here, and it was an absolutely delightful read (albeit very tragic, of course - but it certainly was intriguing and touching!) Have you ever written a short story or something of the sort about her? There is just so much lore. It was interesting to read about your inspirations for her character as well! Thank you so much for sharing - and I definitely don't mind the fact that it got long.

Also, it's considerate of you to write down the trigger warnings; even though I personally don't mind reading about such subjects, there might be people who do, after all, so that was kind!

She seems like such a delightful, cool, and intriguing character, I did love reading her story, and her chosen name is very pretty, with nice depth and thought behind it. Scarborough Fair is a very pretty and soothing tune!

Speaking of names, that was... an interesting coincidence indeed, with Maximilian and Maximilien. The latter is, aside from his birth name, the only name Narciso didn't pick himself, but was picked for him; so if there is a stage name he's even more averse to ever use again, that's that particular one. He finds it so much more empowering to choose his names himself. His Maximilien-side is long gone and won't return, that's for certain.

She sounds like a wonderful fit for Narciso, as they have quite a few things in common indeed; I bet they are good for one another. Also, I agree. This woman truly deserve gentleness and comfort.

The first time i read Luceris say “I’m gonna take care of them until they die” reminded me a lot of the music video for Kilmer/Kilmaa animated by WOOMA. This is a very vengeful MC song to me, especially with the cool revenge scene at the end.

That was actually the #1 inspiration for this IF and I'm glad someone other than me knows it because when I first mentioned it no one said anything 😭

The 1st version of this story was heavily based on it but now it's quite different. I can say that Luceris is heavily inspired by the main guy that's insane (Gui?) like the lip scar and his backstory but Luceris is far better as a person than him. MC has red eyes because of the girl in that story too!
