TOGASHI CREATED KILLUGON BASED ON A ROMANTIC COUPLE FROM THE ROMCOM HE WROTE !!
Did you know Togashi created a romantic comedy manga back in 1989? He always talked about liking shojo and romance but it’s not very known that he actually wrote one! (this is about killugon i promise keep reading)
Tumblr media
title : Ten de Shōwaru Cupid
disclaimer : it’s nsfw and kinda gross (MINORSDON’TREADIT) but i’m not showing or talking about any of those nsfw things in this post so don’t worry!
It was never officially licensed so there’s no released English translation.
Very vaguely, the story is about Ryuji and Maria, the main romantic couple (pictured above) . It’s sorta a “ friends to lovers “ situation… in it’s own way.
Anyway, there’s one scene that started this whole discovery. Ryuji and Maria essentially go on a star gazing date. (yakwtfgo)
a few panels from the scene :
Tumblr media
Star gazing. Shooting star. Deep conversation.
Doesn’t that sound familiar?
But wait, it also LOOKS familiar.
Tumblr media
losing my mind bc ohmygoddd togashi ur so insane for this.
hell, even the set up and light/dark scheme is similar.
1989 : Togashi creates a star gazing date between the protagonist and deuteragonist of his shojo.
1998 : Togashi creates a star gazing date between the protagonist and deuteragonist of his shonen.
it took him ten years to make it gay
There’s more :
As we all know, Killua has electric powers. He has one move in particular called “ 落雷 “ (thunderbolt/lightning strike)
Coincidentally, Maria from the romcom ALSO has electric powers. Not just any electric power though, she has a move called “ 落雷 “ (thunderbolt/lightning strike)
Tumblr media
Deuteragonists with electric powers and a thunderbolt move.
What’s next? Maria also being immune to poison just like Killua?
Exactly.
Tumblr media
Miss Maria over here is the OG “ i’m immune to poison ” character. She drinks the poison from the snake to hide her demon tail (wild plot ik)
(( 4/27 update : i was just reminded of how Killua has that snake awaken thing with his aura hhhhhhomg
Tumblr media
when they’re both associated with snakes ))
So, a deuteragonist who is strongly devoted to the protagonist, in love with the protagonist, immune to poison, has lightning powers, uses a move called "thunderbolt", and has been on a stargazing date with their protagonist.
It’s almost as if… Maria was Togashi’s blueprint for Killua.
This next portion isn’t as big but they’re just little situations that gave me deja vu :
Here we have the classic jealousy situation when a “romantic rival” enters the story.
Tumblr media
- Stalking as they talk by a tree.
- Fuming with anger as something affectionate happens between them.
- Fleeing when the current situation became too much to handle. (in killua’s case he left to go fight a rabbit but still. yk he wasn’t about to stick around for what came next😭)
And there’s also the way they bump heads and bicker with each other like a married couple.
Tumblr media
i’m sure there’s more similarities and hxh inspo in the story but i don’t feel like rereading and translating it all
In conclusion :
This means that from the very beginning, Togashi intentionally coded Gon and Killua from a romantic couple. KilluGon is the recreated/reimagined version of Ryuji and Maria (a pure and sfw and gay version)
goated behavior tbh

Can I ask from this ask game : https://www.tumblr.com/toomanyfandomsthings/749729499738996736/send-me-a-ship-and-a-number-and-ill-tell-you?source=share
No. 2, 10, 11, 12, 15 for KilluGon and SukuIta.... Thanks ......🌻
I did it all of those, they looked fun I hope you don't mind.
KilluGon
1. Which one is the better cook?
Canonically neither is a good cook XD But I think Gon can cook some basic stuff even if it’s not amazing and Killua is a spoiled rich boi who just can’t cook at all. In AU I still think Killua just wouldn’t know how to cook most of the time unless he ran away with his sisters and had to step up, maybe he could know how to bake if he stayed with his family. Gon would know at least the basics of cooking, because Mito wouldn’t let him move out if he didn’t.
2. What do their love letters look like?
Gon is super suave, he has his way with words. He’d quote poetry or movies. He would attach dry flowers to the letters.
Killua would be awkward, he wouldn’t know what to write, there’d be few words in the letter, He’d use colourful ink though, and cute stickers, especially rare ones, like ones you win in some way.
3. Which one outlives the other, and how do they cope?
I think Gon could live longer because he has a better diet. But if he was old he’d wither slowly once Killua died, it just wouldn’t be the same.
4.What do they do on date night?
That’s Gon’s ballpark, he’d make plans. Each date would be different. Some would be small and intimate, some grand and with many events along the way. Killua would try to plan something sometimes, probably something geeky, Gon would indulge him.
5. How many kids will they have?
In canon? Likely none, they would jump from one adventure to another, there wouldn’t be time for kids. In AU that’d depend on the story. Like in my political clans AU, I imagine them having a kid eventually, though it would be a difficult choice because Gon travels for work in that one. It’d take negotiating and him taking a more stationary job at least when the kid was small. Also In my magical creatures AU they would have kids eventually, they would both be really into it and commit to it. But for example in the Regency AU, or the cyberpunk one I don’t think they would.
6. How do they decorate their bedroom?
Like the rest of their house. Gon has his geeky shit connected to plants and animals, Killua has his geeky shit connected to games. It’s chaos. I’m sure Killua has a Gold Dust Girl bodypillow, they both sleep on it. On their blanket there is a huge frog.
7 Which one is the worse driver?
Killua, the road rage is high with that one.
8. What do they argue about?
The canon stuff, like their self-destructive tendencies, overreliance on each other, etc. They aren’t great communicators and situations that could’ve been talked out escalate to arguments.
9. Which one swears more?
Gon, that’s just canon. Killua doesn’t really seriously swear.
10. What TV shows do they watch together, and which ones do they hide from the other?
They watch all the stuff together, they can be cringe with each other.
11. What was their first impression of each other?
“He’s so cool”, for both of them.
12. What do they do for their anniversary?
Something wild, likely they go on an adventure together.
13. Which one makes a bigger deal of birthdays?
They both make a big deal of birthdays.
14. What nicknames do they call each other?
I’m not really sure, they don’t seem that big on nicknames. When I come up with nicknames for them in AUs it’s tied to the AU and not canon.
15. What would they change about each other?
Their communication skills, their self-destructiveness. Like both of them really are against the other sacrificing himself and yet they just don’t listen.
_____________
SukuIta
1. Which one is the better cook?
Yuuji, unless it’s an AU where Sukuna is a pro chef, then he’s either better or they are equals.
2. What do their love letters look like?
Sukuna’s look like proper Heian love letters, written on the paper matching the season, containing a well crafted tanka.
Even if Yuuji writes a tanka back, it’s a bit humorous but likely still has the seasonal word. It’s on Hello Kitty paper because Yuuji knows Sukuna is secretly a Kitty fan.
3. Which one outlives the other, and how do they cope?
Yuuji lives longer because he’s younger. He compartmentalises it, like every loss in his life it just adds to his general sense of misery.
4. What do they do on date night?
Something kinky.
5. How many kids will they have?
I feel like none, Sukuna’s the baby kind of… XD
Though in an AU setting they could have kids, it depends.
6. How do they decorate their bedroom?
I feel Sukuna generally has an expensive and snobby taste so he really pushes for a fancy house/apartment. I feel he likes it traditional, or in Modern AU, modern meets traditional. But I think in the bedroom Yuuji managed to get some cute elements, possibly a big Kitty plush, maybe even a Kitty duvet or bed sheets.
7 Which one is the worse driver?
Sukuna, the road rage is high with that one.
8. What do they argue about?
Ideals, their world views are not the same. Where and how they live, Yuuji doesn’t really desire opulence. Sukuna’s better than thou attitude. Yuuji devoting too much time to others. They have a lot to work through.
9. Which one swears more?
I feel Yuuji more casually but also less harshly. When Sukuna swears it’s like a punch.
10. What TV shows do they watch together, and which ones do they hide from the other?
They watch Yuuji’s horror movies and anime together, and discuss it together. Sukuna doesn’t always manage to win the “this is trash” argument, Yuuji’s good at noticing cool and poignant stuff in pop culture. They don’t watch Jeniffer Lawrence films together, Sukuna gets jealous. Also Sukuna hides that he sometimes watches sappy romance, to criticise it of course but also when Yuuji is aways and Sukuna is lonely.
11. What was their first impression of each other?
Sukuna’s impression of Yuuji: “What a naive fool. Would be an easy to fuck if he didn’t look like he’s needy.” Or to translate it into normal language from repression and denial: “Fuck he’s cute, he fasicnates me, I want him so badly but I’m terrified of commitment.”
Yuuji’s impression of Sukuna: “What a stuck up jerk! Nice ass though, why the fuck do I want him? What is wrong with me?”
12. What do they do for their anniversary?
Something really kinky that takes most of the day/night. There’s also a fancy dinner/breakfast after the kinky stuff.
13. Which one makes a bigger deal of birthdays?
Yuuji because he wants big parties.
14. What nicknames do they call each other?
Sukuna’s for Yuuji is obviously “brat”, sometimes something like “sweet/cute brat”.
Yuuji’s for Sukuna, in the beginning it’s likely “pompous/snobby jerk”, later just “Kuna”.
15. What would they change about each other?
Their respective world view. Sukuna wants to bring Yuuji down to his level. Yuuji just wants Sukuna not to be a menace to society.

hi!! i LOVED your meta on the shinjuu scene, it is so clear and in depth and is SO CONVINCING. but anyway, one thing i see you & others say a lot in their metas is that we know how smart togashi is, that these hints aren’t coincidence. obviously the man is a genuis, but i was wondering - do you know of any imagery such as the shooting star or pieces of dialogue that hinted towards plot points we already know about? like, with regards to the entire story, not just Killugon. i understand this is a big ask, but like off the top of your head, do you know of any foreshadowing imagery from early on in the manga that predicted a later scene? again, your metas are FANTASTIC, but im dumb & cynical & i Crave proof. thank you!!!! <3
HI !! thank you so much for the kind words, I’m really glad you liked it !!
I’m sorry it took me a while to reply to this because i had to gather some braincells HAHA
There’s soooo much symbolism/foreshadowing in HxH actually !
If you’re wondering about stuff that connects two scenes together, scenes that once you read you go like “oh, that’s why a few chapters ago…” then I have a few examples in mind.
• Killua’s shinjuu wish, his wish to commit lovers suicide, putting that idea in the back of our heads for when the real lovers suicide would happen : Meruem & Komugi’s (reinforced by all the Merumugi/Killugon parallels!)
• That panel of Gon where he replies “when you can’t forgive yourself” to Morel’s question : “when do you hurt yourself?”, effectively predicting and foreshadowing him willingly getting hurt by 1. throwing his entire life away and turning into his adult form and 2. not caring about his arm getting cut off because “he gets to be like kite”
• If you keep this last point in mind, there’s also the fact that Killua’s reply to Morel’s question was “when it’s someone important to you” - linking this scene with his shinjuu wish that happens a few chapters later.
• If you’re talking about imagery linking to plot points… It’s just speculation for now, so I’m sorry, but Kurapika’s Kurta robes have the Mobius strip on it, indicating Kurapika’s possible ties to the Dark Continent.
• Not really imagery or symbolism (or maybe it is idk?) but during Netero and Killugon’s match on the airship, Netero only used his left hand and right leg, same limbs that get cut off during his fight against Meruem.
• If you’re talking about just straight up foreshadowing, Gon’s demise was foreshadowed very very early on, as multiple adults highlighted his instability and his potential for being dangerous.
• Actual not-subtle foreshadowing, but 50+ chapters before Netero dies, he foreshadows that “someone will have to be sacrificed during this mission”
• AH !!!!! One of the biggest foreshadowing/symbolism point. The entire game of Gungi. It revolves around isolating the king from his guard to win. Which is… Exactly what the extermination team tries to do. On top of that, I suggest reading this post about Meruem and Komugi’s last game. The moves they use reflect the entire events of Chimera Ant Arc. Togashi crafted an entire fictional game to reflect the events that happened in his arc : isolating the king, failing, developing a counter, but that counter being also countered. (read the post or else what i’m saying doesn’t make sense HAHHAA)
• If you’re talking about just symbolism in general…. Togashi likes to plant a lot of it in everything he writes. From the main 4’s bday, and especially Gon’s and Killua’s, the fact Kite was reborn with a mouse tail when he was killed by a cat-like ant, the general religious symbolism in Kurapika’s character arc (linking his current journey to st brendan’s story through dolphin imagery), the whole deal with the kanji for Gungi... Off the top of my head, that’s all I can think of. But honestly, anything Togashi writes is done with a purpose and has symbolism in it. Togashi uses foreshadowing a lot and relies on imagery and symbolism a great deal.
But then again, that shooting star panel might be a coincidence, or might just represent Killua’s wish being sealed ! That’s why I said it was more of a subjective interpretation. Because I have no way to know if that was actually Togashi’s intent.
But considering that these two scenes are the only scenes sealed with a shooting star, that Killua and Gon’s story is deeply rooted in star symbolism (because of Tanabata, Killua’s birthday), and that these two scenes are similar in meaning : with Killua expressing his wish to commit shinjuu (dying together to stay connected in the afterlife) and them promising to stay together that night on Whale Island…. Knowing how big brained Togashi is, it’s most likely intentional.
But then again, it’s a subjective interpretation ! So you have every right to be skeptical HAHA ! If you want to know more about Togashi’s use of symbolism & imagery & foreshadowing I suggest going through the hxh meta tag on tumblr, there are thousands of beautiful meta posts that analyze Togashi’s attention to details.
Thank you for this ask !! I hope i could help a little. Sorry this is a bit messy and not too argumentative but I hope it was okay !!

hey
what’s up
It’s killugon day
@murderxbaby
Minor God AU
There are the nameless, all powerful seven.
There are the twenty-four Major gods, masters of the human mind, the sun and moon and the weather.
And then there are the sixty-seven minor gods.
Gods of downtrodden or lesser domains, like broken glass, special functions or seaweed.
A long time ago, for most it would have been several lifetimes, Killua was the God of Beauty.
He earned his title with every smile, every wayward glance.
He would set any heart he could touch on fire, almost always without meaning to.
His charms did not stop at the lines of gender or class or race.
For some it was mere fascination, like being struck by the beauty of nature.
For others it was less… innocent.
Kings and queens and distant Czars would fall for his moonlit beauty, his tossed hair or fair skin in the morning sun.
They offered him gifts, courtship, and nights in their chambers.
But Killua was not the God of Love.
And he did not believe in love.
At least, not the love they did.
Killua was proud and beautiful and arrogant.
Before the fall.
A few times in history a God has fallen from the high pantheon.
Never had it been so literal.
He was pushed from the tallest mountain by his brother.
Or his mother.
Or his father.
Or perhaps all three.
Some say it was because of his arrogance.
The more romantic believe it was because someone had finally thawed his icy heart, and his family struck out in jealousy.
Pessimists believe it was his eldest brother, striking from the bitterness in his heart.
No matter the reason, no matter the perpetrator, it happened.
Killua fell.
And cracked upon the mountain’s base.
His skin, soft and warm, shattered like a vase dropped from the counter.
He bled and lay at the bottom of the mountain until the sun set and rose a thousand times.
Then he stood, picked the dirt from his splintering skin, and walked.
Given time and given space, he healed.
The chunk of skin and bone that splintered off of his knee grew back.
The cracks webbing out from where he’d hit the ground receded.
Even his arm, shattered all the way back to his elbow, healed.
In time.
For years, across the world, horror stories spread of the shattered god who wandered.
But slowly, over years, his wounds healed.
Save one.
His shoulder.
A chunk of flesh and bone, nearly the size of a fist, had turned to dust when Killua hit the ground.
It stayed bloodied and red, always aching, never healing.
So even as time rolled close to a century, when all of his zagging, jagged wounds were closed, his shoulder stayed the same.
Cracked and broken.
Gon is the God of Seaweed.
Not as auspicious a title as God of Beauty or War or Love.
But he’s happy with it.
From diving into dank caves to idly paddling along the islands, it’s fair to say he spends his days swimming one way or another.
His duties are few as god of Seaweed, but he finds himself more at home among the brine and fish than anywhere else.
The two gods met by chance.
Killua was staring out over the vast western ocean while Gon wandered along the coast.
Gon nearly stepped on him as they both watched ocean sway in the setting sun.
They traded hello’s.
They connected.
Immediately.
Wordlessly.
Gon helped Killua find his identity.
They sat on the beach and talked for days.
Killua complained about being the center of attention and Gon complained about being on the fringes.
They bickered about who had it worse.
Gon was winning.
“I suppose I’m one of you now,” said Killua, who wasn’t the god of much right now.
Gon stopped.
“I suppose so,” he said. “Being a minor god isn’t all bad,” he said after a moment.
They sat in a silence, gazing at stars and listening to the waves.
Then Gon leaped up.
He was smiling, frenzied and excited.
He shouted something about a gift before telling Killua to wait there.
He dived into the water.
Killua wasn’t there he came back.
They met again on the rocky northern beach.
It’d been years since they last met.
They awkwardly traded hellos.
They both prodded the air for their unseen connection.
Still there?
Gon said something a little stupid.
Killua could only smile fondly.
Still there.
They chat for a week or two.
It’s pleasant, murmuring nothing.
They enjoy talking.
It looks like old friends reconnecting to everyone else.
It doesn’t feel like it to them.
Everything lacks the bite of the moonlit night Killua walked away.
Then the week is up.
The full moon peeks its head out.
It finds Killua and Gon alone on the beach again.
They’re silent again.
Gon pulls something from his pocket.
“This was what I meant to give you,” he says.
He holds out his palm and resting on it is a small, soft-white pearl.
It’s dented and scarred, warped nearly out of shape.
Killua grabs it between two fingers.
“I still think it’s pretty,” Gon says. “Do you?” he asks, somewhat nervous.
Killua nods.
Then his throat forces a sob out of his mouth.
Killua is the God of Flawed Gems.
He is lord over chipped rubies and fractured amber.
Lord over cracked pearls and dented diamonds.
Lord over what was once flawless and beautiful.
Lord over what is now damaged and beautiful in a different way.
He wanders mostly, but sometimes he lingers on coasts.
He seems to have fondness for chipped pearls.

A Taste of Winter
For @tkurotsuki who requested Killugon. Merry Christmas and a very Happy 2018!
“Take it back!” Gon pouted.
Who knew that Gon Freecs was so passionate about food? Perhaps Killua maybe the mistake of picking the wrong battle. Illumi always chided him about that: don’t fight battles that you can’t win.
But then, it was always hard to expect to how Gon would act. Killua had more experience and far more endurance. But, Gon just had spirit. And conviction.
“Peppermint is better!” Killua insisted. “Peppermint is the taste of winter.”
Gon’s face lit up like a bonfire, or in this case, like an oven. Gon apparently didn’t like wintry or cold things.
It was Killua’s error that he had broached the subject of seasonal sweets with such a sugar aficionado.
“No way! Gingerbread is way better!”
“Peppermint!” Killua nearly shouted.
“You just say that because of your white hair!” Gon jabbed to his pale tresses.
His father’s hair. His mother had often told him that he had inherited his fathers hair. Killua in fact was the only Zoldyck that had inherited Silva’s hair. All of his other siblings took after their mother. Sometimes, Killua hated to be reminded of it.
Killua put his hand on his hip. “Oh, my hair looks like my peppermint? What about you and your…your cookie eyes?”
Gon seemed truly shocked. “What?
Gon’s accused eyes widened.
There was no use regretting it. The stupidity was out of his mouth already, and his tongue was still wintry. Killua had been told by Gon’s Aunt Mito that he acted too old for his age and that he should act like a child for once. Killua figured that he was already taking her advice in this instance.
He knew that was getting ridiculous, but before Killua could retract his words, the enchanter stuck his tongue out at him. The Zoldyck bristled. Ooh, Gon would pay.
Suddenly, Gon looked down as if considering something. Was he actually thinking?
"My eyes really remind you of gingerbread?”
Killua nodded. They were also the right hue for a mug of hot apple cider, but Killua kept that detail to himself. Maybe Gon was more like hot apple cider. He certainly made him warm inside.
“I can see how my hair resembles peppermint, but there’s no red stripes.” Killua smiled almost apologetically. “I also like butterscotch.”
And just like that, Gon’s face broke into a smile. His face red from frustration was now colored from excitement. It was a wonder that Killua wasn’t a transmuter like himself. Just like that, the fight had been forgotten. Gon had such a spotty memory sometimes.
“Butterscotch is gold,” Gon remarked. “That reminds me of Kurapika. Oh! Who does chocolate mocha remind you of?”
Yet another image of his brother entered his mind, but another name found itself on his tongue. “Leorio?” he guessed.
“That’s right!” Gon laughed.
But, I never liked cranberry,“ Killua confessed. "It’s so sour.”
“Me neither,” Gon blanched. “But, Aunt Mito always says how good it is for me.”
Then, Killua swore that he saw a barely imperceptible shiver ripple through him.
“Cranberry actually kind of reminds me of Hisoka. His red hair, I mean.”
“Much too sour,” Killua echoed.
Could it be that Hisoka was stuck in Gon’s mind as how Illumi haunted his? However, Killua didn’t want to ask. Out of mutual kindness, they tried not to share their nightmares. Happy days and peaceful nights for them only.
Soon, Gon was smiling again as it seems that he had focused his mind on something else. Killua wished that it was as easy for him as it was for Gon.
But before any more words could be exchanged, Aunt Mito was calling them to bed. As expected, Gon started to begging his grandmother to stay up, but to no avail. The bed was their immediate destination to Gon’s chagrin.
Still, Killua was a bit happy at this prospect. He needed to think.
As Gon tossed and turned a short distance away in his neighboring bed, Killua hooked his hands behind his head and gazed at the ceiling. For after all, he was a master of focus. Killua had had a fair bit of practice while chained to the wall for weeks on end. He’d had a lot of personal experience when it came to numbing one self and distancing one’s pesky emotions, but now he felt alive here with Gon. He didn’t want to endanger that.
Safe while buried beneath his blankets, he gazed at twinkling lights bordering the windows. Killua felt that he just couldn’t tell Gon what was on his mind. Some things had to be felt.
The next morning, they were released outside. After breakfast of course. Aunt Mito objected to the cookies being stuffed down their throats for breakfast, but Grandmother Abe thought nothing of it. It was their vacation, but it was Gon’s house, and he wanted to go outside…away from the video games. Killua reluctantly complied before realizing this was actually better than staying in Gon’s room all day. More privacy.
The ground crunched under their boots as they walked. Killua was lost in thought as he navigated through his murky emotions.
Now, how should I bring this up…
“Hey Killua! Gon suddenly cried. "It’s starting to snow!”
Killua looked up, and as he so, a spray of snowflakes dusted his nose. Pin pricks of ice lashed his flesh. Snow always made Killua feel vaguely excited when he was a kid, and honestly, it still did. Snow used to enchant him, and he would watch the cold shimmer as it fell. He never let his family let on that he loved it, or they would have used cold as another method of discipline.
Never one to miss an opportunity, Gon was already catching a snowflakes on his tongue. He was obviously absorbed in his task. If only looked the morning glow, a smirk would be seen splitting the transmuter’s lips.
Killa inhaled deeply. It was now or never. Yet, he was aware that there would be no going back. Regardless, Killua wanted his feelings known. Whether, they were reciprocated was another matter entirely. That would be up to Gon.
The snowfall thankfully made his footsteps silent. Ever so softly, he edged closer until he was nearly brushing Killua’s shoulders. Then, he went in for the kill. At least in this respect, assassins and hunters were the same.
Killua would never forget how Gon’s ginger eyes widened when Killua planted his first kiss on him.
“What was that for?” Gon cried.
Killua could explain, but Gon probably wouldn’t understand that everything happened in its own time so he chose to be vague.
“For you. Just for you.” The words sounded melodious. Natural even.
Gon was a bit shocked, but he recovered quickly as he always did. Still, Killua noticed how nervous Gon had become.
“Thank you?” Gon blushed.
Soon, Killua was grinning too.
Gon would never realize that he was the best gift of all. For so many people. It was best that way.
Gon had saved him after all.

What are the major markers that you think advanced killugon development? Both from the perspective of Killua and Gon?
Oooh oh my, that could get long ahah. The full manga is full of those. And tbh they both developped slowly but surely, and honestly sometimes it’s just kinda smooth.
Bold are the most important ones I think.
huuuh.
-Them meeting, of course, for the both of them. It both made them curious about each other.
-Killua and Gon talking about Killua’s family in between exams, and Gon taking it rather lightly. It makes Killua trust him and be invested in him even more.
-Killua telling Illumi he wants Gon to be his friend. Kinda went on length on why there.
-Gon being determined to save Killua, to the point of thinking about climbing the doors to get to him, and getting by all the trouble during the trials of the Zoldyck.
-Killua hearing Gon was at his doorstep was huge for him too.
-They reunited and from then they went on smoothly to the Heaven Arnea. To me they really developped slowly but surely in that arc, it’s hard to pinpoint any moment. Killua soften looking at Gon meditate, they look and cheer at each other a lot, being happy by each other’s success, they keep supporting each other.
-Killua being excited telling Gon he wants to meet Mito. For some reason this scene was remplaced in both anime:
Tumblr media
It kinda puzzles me bc I think in the 1999 anime it’s Gon who begs Killua to come with him, and in the 2011 anime it’s Gon who bring up he wants to see Mito and Killua who just go “then i’ll tag along”, while in the manga it’s really just Killua who wants to get to know what Gon love even more. Look at him he even slightly blush.
-All of the Whale Island moments also move smoothly to show how much they love spending time with each other, to Gon being excited to show Killua around to Killua softening to everything Gon says (for exemple by showing him what Kon brought to Gon in the manga)
-Of course, the whole talking under the stars scene. It was the scene they both talked about their goals and what they wanted to do, and both opened up over how much they liked to be around each other. It’s especially Gon who goes out of his way to make sure Killua knows that Gon likes him a lot, and that Gon would love to have him around a lot.
-From that point everything about them doing the auctions go smoothly as well, same as i mentioned before, you see them get closer slowly but surely.
-When locked up by the Troupe and watched over by Nobunaga. Killua realizes Gon might be in danger and at this point, it’s established he cares for Gon a lot. Gon tries to lighten the mood and find a way out, but Killua freaks out and think about sacrificing himself. It’s when Gon gets angry at him because he doesn’t want Killua to think like that, because he cares too much about him. “I’m allowed to talk about dying but you, you are not!”. Both show how much they love and care about each other and their safety in this scene.
-Once they escaped and Gon smiles because Killua is telling him to not be reckless, and Killua is surprised. Gon saying he’s glad Killua is back to normal, that he was worried, and that Killua is usually the one who keep him in line. Killua blushes calling Gon selfish. (imo it’s more than Gon is trying to stop Killua to put his life recklessly on the line again, but ye it’s  abit hypocritical since Gon does that all the time).
-Killua insisting to help Kurapika to hunt the troupe in order to get the money for Greed island, and him wanting to stop as soon as he realizes they won’t get paid for it. It’s something that puzzled me when I read the manga but it’s a bit clearer, here:
Tumblr media
While I do believe Killua cares about Kurapika and his cause, he…. Did push it, among other things, for the money for Greed Island. When he realizes the money had been lifted from the troupe, he tries to dissuade Gon to get into it, while Gon really only want to help Kurapika.
I think Killua got himself invested afterward for Kurapika’s sake, and previously he was worried for Kurapika with the Pakunoda’s situation, so it isn’t completely selfish against Kurapika - but he was really trying to push it for Gon’s sake.
Eventually he got wrapped up and he acted out of caring for Kurapika as well, especially when they both went against Pakunoda, but this scene especially is one of the moment Killua had been kinda shady because he pushed that for Gon’s sake.
I’m not going to talk about what it means toward Kurapika, long story short I still believe Killua cares about Kurapika but things are complicated, but in that scene, it kinda shows how much Killua would be devoted to go far for Gon at this point already.
-The whole “Thank you - I am glad you came with me - no, i’m glad i met you” “no… you’re wrong, this is me who’s glad i met you” scene, of course.
a lot of things build up to it, especially the fact Killua stood up for Gon all the time. And especially… Killua stuck around. Gon didn’t have much people sticking around like that before, not aside from his mom and grandmother, and especially after they parted ways again with Leorio and Kurapika, to see Killua is always around is making Gon genuinely happy. He’s so happy he can share this journey with Gon.And ofc Killua is the happiest he could be after hearing all of it. Because not only does he enjoy spending time with Gon, but so does Gon, and they feel the same way about it. It makes them both happy.
-The whole Greed Island arc is a slow, smooth build up in their relationship imo. Some highlights includes, Bisky commenting on how Killua is smiling today thanks to Gon, Killua going to take the hunter exam and being told he smells like Gon and him mentioning (manga only) that “how can i smell like him i took a shower……”, him doing everything to come back quickly, Gon being concerned for him, Killua protecting Gon from talking to Genthru ect.
-The Dodgeball game. First, because people seems to forget that: Gon was invested in the game, but Razor crossed the line when he almost attacked Killua. Gon reacts really badly and gets this extreme because Razor would have targetted Killua, and it could have hurt him. That’s when Gon gets really dark and says he will not forgive him.
Which is why Gon gets so dedicated to win the game, to the point of hurting Killua - Killua who is consenting there. Because Gon is, among other things, fired up against Razor for attacking Killua.
Which leads of course to Killua sacrificing his hands for Gon, which shows how much he gives his whole for Gon.
And how once confronted about it, Gon mentions it can only be Killua, he’s the only one who understands him enough to be able to handle it - and Killua smiling.
Gon trust Killua with all of his being. Even if there it results with pain, he knows Killua can handle it more than anyone, and he knows only  Killua can handle the strength of his blow. There is no one Gon trusts more than Killua.
and it makes Killua extremely happy because not only he’s helpful to Gon, but he is irreplaceable. He’s that important to Gon, and he realizes how much Gon trusts him. He likes to feel useful toward him.
-”What will you do first when you’ll meet Ging?” “I’ll have him met Killua of course!! my best friend in the world!” cue to Killua blushing. Like oh my god. Don’t tell me Gon doesn’t care about Killua. Not only Killua is his best, closest friend, but he’s so proud to have him as a friend??? he’s so happy? Like “look at the best thing that ever happened to me”. He wants to show Killua around, how important he became to him, what a huge part of him Killua became. He included Killua in his lifetime goal! and ofc, Killua got flustered. that’s self explainatory!
-”Hunters are granted with good friends” by Kite while Killua is looking lovingly at Gon, i mean com’on.
-Same again there most of it is smoothly and eventless, going slowly at their pace then.
-”Gon, you are light - sometimes you shine so bright I feel like I have to look away. Even though, is it okay if i stay by your side?”Something horrible just happened, and Killua felt the need to hit Gon in the head to save him. And he was scared Gon would be mad at him for leaving Kite to die.  Instead the first thing Gon does as he wakes up is asking after Killua, asking how he’s doing, and being concerned for him. Gon actually apologizes foor being so reckless it put Killua in a situation in which he had to hit him. Gon goes out of his way to make sure Killua understands it’s not his fault.
And then he drops the denial bomb that he thinks Kite is still alive. And Killua is so in love at this point, blinded by how bright Gon is, that he can’t help but agree. In a way i think there’s also this thing that, if Kite was dead, maybe Gon would blame him? But mostly, I think that, Gon was believing so hard in his words that Killua ended up believing it too. He held on to Gon at that moment, and just wanted to stay around even more. But i wonder if eventually, the fact he mentions leaving there is indeed because parts of him tells him Kite is dead and that Gon could blame him. (which Gon never did btw, even when the revelation came out Kite was dead. He blamed Pitou and himself, but never Killua.)
-The whole training, again, smooth.
-Bisky facing Killua about his trauma with Illumi and telling him Gon may die one day because of him. It scares Killua so much it results in even more panic when he fights Shoot, because he doesn’t want to leave Gon or hurt him, and he wants to do everything for him
-with the conclusion that then Killua plans to leave because he can’t be strong enough to protect Gon and is scared one day he’ll leave him to die.
-Legit Killua’s reaction to the whole thing happening with Palm, especially when he asked Gon about his previous dates, and that when Gon asked back he went “I didn’t date anyone, i only stayed with you since i left the house” and then adding thinking “and frankly i don’t want it to change.”
-The removal of the needle was all of the strength Killua took in order to protect Gon. This scene is one of the big ones. His love and protection for Gon helps him to overcome mental manipulation, out of how much he loves him.
-Once they infiltrate the Republic of East Goruto, before parting, when Killua insist Gon stays safe and doesn’t run after him to protect him. While he clumsily convince him by telling him to focus on Pitou, this scene also shows that Gon wanted to stay with Killua and Killua was out to do dangerous things so he wanted Gon to stay safe. Killua went through and made sure Gon kept his distances at this point.
-Killua almost dying and thinking about how he wasn’t of any help for Gon in the end. His last thoughts were about Gon, and about how he wished he could have helped him more.
-Gon yelling out of relief on the phone when he realizes Killua is safe, and Killua’s soft smile at Gon being so worried about him. Gon had been so worried and concerned ;;
-A lot of time, the way Killua looks at Gon before the Castle attack. He knows things are going wrong with him but he doesn’t know how to voice it.
-The unfamous “since it’s none of your business” scene where Gon pushed Killua away after Killua tried to help him. I have a lot of thoughs on this scene i talked a lot about, but really, it was all about Killua trying to help Gon see the biggest picture, but Gon being so lost in his anger he lashed at Killua by also pushing him away - for once, refusing completely Killua’s help. Which of course hurt Killua.
-”What will happen of Gon and you?” “In that state, Gon won’t budge. At worse, it will be a lover suicide.”. Kinda self explainatory, Killua is ready to die with Gon, and actually uses a term linked usually to lover dying together so they can remain together in the afterlife. Notice that when Palm, Knuckle and Killua talks about dying together, they use another term, and then Ikalgo says “we… no, Killua was ready to die with Gon” and in there he uses the same term Killua used for “Lover suicide”.
-Killua breaking down in front of Palm because he can’t help Gon, and begging Palm to be able to help him. Hearing from Palm he is the one Gon needs the most shook him up a lot.  But it shows also how much he was scared for Gon there.
-Killua running to find Gon and being frightened by how Gon pushed his limits. Gon crying and, while suffering, doing everything to reassure Killua that everything will be okay. Gon is killing himself, he’s aware of that, yet he spends his last moments reassuring Killua that everything will be fine.
-Killua doing everything to save Gon in the Election arc. He realizes where everything went wrong and he wishes Gon will survive, he wants to make sure Gon will live, and that they’ll be together again. That Killua will clean up his mess, like Gon had him promise in York New, and that then Gon will have to apologize. Killua would devote himself to do that no matter what.
-Gon being extremely unease after he woke up and telling Leorio that he needs to find Killua asap to apologize because he told him horrible things. Gon’s guilt is more than obvious, and we know he apologized multiple times to Killua.
-Them parting. They’ve been a long way together and they are both hurt about it. (also since I saw it before mentioned: the fact Gon looks more “determined” than hurt in the ending of the anime is?? anime only? In the manga he looks just as hurt as Killua when they part. It hurts Gon just as much as it hurts Killua.)
it’s probably better for now with all they have too sort out, but ye, it’s painful. But hey, they’re keeping contact with each other!
So ye dkjfhdjkf I feel like I just summarized the manga at this point. But here o/
have a good day!!

You think MikaYuu will actually be canon? People always says "it won't be canon 'cause OnS is a shonen" or "it won't be canon 'cause OnS is written by a male" but I really don't think these are valid arguments. (love your blog. sorry for bad english)
Those arguments are silly. There’re actual shonen mangas with LGBT characters.
Yu Yu Hakusho was a shounen, written by a man and has gay characters and in HxH it’s kind of hinted that killugon is a thing too, because Togashi supports LGBT.
Shingeki no Kyojin has Ymir and Historia too, and it’s written by a man.
At the very least, Shonen jump might not want it to be canon but *shrugs* then all he would have to do is not pair them with someone else and hint at mika/yuu. (Like korrasami)
Bad arguments made by people with low-quality thought processes tbh.
Don’t continue reading if you don’t want negativity. (And you know how damn negative I can be so, please, don’t keep reading if you’re not ready for it).
Now, I don’t think it’ll be canon, but because of different reasons. Like, it’s so easy to find actual good arguments as to why it won’t be canon, but homophobes aren’t smart enough to think about them anyway.
Thinking Kagami would make a gay couple canon is giving him too much credit. There’re many reasons why I don’t have faith in him but I don’t feel like addressing them.
The very few times he made couples in ons canon (or close to canon) it was through a very shitty writing and with lots of awful tropes.
If mika/yuu becomes canon I’ll be like “wow HE wrote THIS relationship as a LOVE STORY? HIM??? AFTER SO MANY BAD WRITTEN ROMANCES??? Talk about character development.”
Also, Yuu is his 2nd Gary Stu, why would he pair him with the one who seems to be his least favorite character? He’s been humiliating Mika so I doubt he’d want him to be the endgame for his precious son.
No man, he’d rather pair him with a cute girl he’ll obviously destroy, decharacterize and sexualize in the process.
That is, if he decides to pair him off with someone, but I’m not really sure he will. I mean, despite everything, mika/yuu seems to be important for this manga.
Like, most readers ship it.
And it seems obvious to me what with how he keeps repeating the same shenanigans between them to lure the shippers into keeping reading
Tumblr media
They keep going in circles ofMika tries to get Yuu to understand -> Yuu says something “sweet” (though empty) -> Mika stays.
And so on and on and on.
I’m pretty sure he’s bored of his own writing by now.
I’m always hoping he’ll surprise me, you know?Like, I used to think maybe he supported the LGBT community, since he hinted at many of the characters being at least a lil gay.
But he always manages to turn it around and make it all worse and homophobic even.
Mikaela is the only one who hasn’t gone through that but he’s been made fun of and treated as the unreasonable character lately so what can I say?
Watch is as he revives Akane and somehow she’s both mentally and physically 16, so she confesses to Mika and, obviously, Mika will end up with her because fuck good writing and respect for everything a character has done and felt, right?
And watch as all the ugly homophobic fanboys mock us saying “SEE? TOLD U MIKA WASN’T GAY”
And have you got any idea about how that feels for us? Like, we go every day being told that we’re not normal, that one day we’ll find “the one” and will realize we were straight all along.
That’s what queerbaiting is. An ugly and hard slap on the face of LGBT people.
That’s how it feels like for us.
I don’t know what’s going to happen tbh. Chances are: it could happen. He could hint at mika/yuu in the end.But I don’t see it becoming canonIt just doesn’t feel like he will do it, you know?
At this point I just enjoy the fandom and all the creative smart people who love this ship like I do. I don’t want to think about canon. It hurts.
Especially when the fandom is shit towards us for saying if mika/yuu doesn’t become canon it’s queerbaiting. It would be queerbaiting, sorry your mind has been conditioned to see anything romantic between characters of the same gender as a “friends”’ only thing but gay people exist. Surprise!
There are many things that tell me it won’t be canon:
The narrative
The way Mika has been treated
The way Yuu has been behaving
The whole demon thing and desire bs that happened with Kureto and Aoi (mind u, I shipped it, but that was extremely lame and ugly)
The whole thing Mahiru said to Shinoa
That one chapter in the light novels where Shi-chan tells Shinoa about meeting someone who will want her in the future
The bad writing of the latest chapters
The repetitive mika/yuu moments
Kagami’s past works(queerbaiting)
The way Kagami has been writing romance lately
And so on.
See, umm… there are many other things that made me think mika/yuu could happen, though, but I wouldn’t get my hopes up.
The amount of support mika/yuu has (y’know, money)
The beginning of their story (it really felt like they would be endgame before this new ugly arc)
That one ecchi story Kagami once wrote that was a lot like fem!Mika x Yuu (srsly boi stop recycling your past works and ideas. Gosh, even Guren was there.)
The fact that Kagami likes Sailor Moon(?
The fact that Mika was going to be a female (first girl wins trope)
Buuuuuuuuuuut Mel wouldn’t get her hopes up.
I don’t want to suffer again so I’ll just- you know? Look from the distance.Hope for the best expecting the worst.Enjoy my time in the fandom.

Top 5 killugon moments?
SDVVTVVEGEVE I ONLY GET TO PICK FIVE?!?!? HOW DARE?!?!HNNNNGHHHH OKAY I’LL TRY.
1.) The separation. Okay so like, this probably seems a lil weird to have as my #1 but hear me out on this one. I love this scene the most for two reasons (despite the fact that I sobbed horrendously when watching it the first time):A.) When Gon said “This is no good, if we stay any longer…“ it crushed me. Because, I could feel him wanting to say “If we stay any longer, I won’t want to let go.” And THAT is so incredibly powerful to me.
B.) It showed that they could literally still be best friends after everything that happened in the CA arc. Yes, there were still LOTS of things left unsaid and lots of things still resting on their shoulders. But they’re still so young and have so much time to come back to each other and apologize and say “I’ve become better now.”
I fully believe that when Gon said, “Kite said that no matter where we go, we’ll always be friends!” And Killua grinned and replied “Yeah!” It was a promise that they’d come back to each other, no matter what.
2.) Literally, all of the Whale Island episodes. Like, just everything. The fact that the boys could finally get some time to just have fun and be kids. To go exploring and live in a comfortable and welcoming home. I especially love these episodes with Killua in particular as it gives him a chance to actually experience what family love is like. Gon literally shows Killua what being a kid and having fun without any worries is like, something that Killua never really got to experience under the Zoldyck influence.
3.) Specifically in the dodgeball game, there are two things that I love in terms of how Gon’s love for Killua is shown. There’s the part right after Killua almost gets hit by the ball when Razor throws it, and Gon gets freaking pissed. Like, absolutely LIVID because Razor almost killed Killua; almost killed his best friend. Gon was NOT gonna stand for that. And furthermore, Gon wasn’t gonna stand for some half-assed win afterwards either. Gon would make sure that their victory overpowered the potential damage Razor could have done because NO ONE hurts/tries to kill his best friend like that and gets away with it.
But on top of that, I’m also such a sucker for the “It has to be Killua!” Moment. Once again, we see that Gon has an immense amount of love, trust, and admiration for Killua. To the point that he can’t focus in the task at hand unless it’s his best friend at his side, helping him. That made Killua feel so damn important and wanted. It made him feel like he was worth something! These moments in the dodgeball game really solidify that these boys are so damn important to one another.
4.) The “you have it easy, Killua…” Scene. Again, another one that would seem weird as a favorite, but there’s just so much to dive into with this scene.
It physically hurt me the first time I watched this scene. From seeing Gon practically breaking down and losing control of himself because he doesn’t know how to handle his grief, to Killua having to hold himself together, all the emotions and pain, to stand strong and clear Gon’s head so that he could make even a semi-good decision.
It. Fucking. Hurt.
Regardless of the pain though, I still believe this is incredibly important for their relationship, and that’s why I love this scene. I know there have been people who have proven that the translation is horrible, but I can’t quite remember exactly what it was meant to say. However, regardless of accurate translation or not, I still believe what Gon was actually saying wasn’t “You don’t know what this feels like, so it’s not your problem.”
It was “Kite died because of me; it was my fault. So I’m going to get the revenge he deserves while getting the proper punishment I deserve. You did nothing wrong here, so you don’t deserve to get caught up in this.”
This was so hard on Killua because regardless of what happened, he wanted to help Gon as much as he could. He wanted to be useful to the person who has shown him so much love and compassion. He wanted Gon to say “It has to be Killua” again when it came to who would fight by his side. And when Gon didn’t say that, it crushed him.
But despite all the hurt and pain, this scene still manages to show how each boy cares and loves for the other despite not exactly knowing how to express it.
5.) Last but most definitely not least, their meeting!! Gon and Killua met on such simple levels, but the interest that they showed in one another was the best! Obviously, at the start, Killua was more interested in Gon than Gon was in Killua.
But there was still a level of chemistry that the two found with each other that they hadn’t found in anyone else. They were the same age and on top of that, they could keep up with each other! There was just general curiosity about who the other was, and they spent the whole exam figuring that out!
Anyways, yeah! That’s my top five! Gosh this was hella hard to write up! Lemme know if you have any thoughts at all! And I think I’d also like to ask what everyone else’s favorite Killugon moments are! So feel free to reply/reblog with your favorite Killugon moment and why you like it! Thanks!

Hi DC! I'm inlove with your killugon fic. I have read most of it, except MxH hehe. Do you still accept plot ideas or write short story for killugon? Sorry if this is out of the blue, I would like to read a killugon from you base on virtual reality game(their appearance is base from what race or class they are), then they get to accidentally meet in real life! Sorry if this doesn't make sense hehe. This idea just popped in my mind. I just want to share it with you :3 I LOVE YOU AND YOUR WORKS!!!
AHHHHHHHH THANK YOU SO MUCH YOU’RE SO SWEET!!!! I’m not actually doing requests at the moment buT YOUR MESSAGE WAS SO NICE and I was actually thinking about doing a killugon fic just like this (did you read my mind??? XD) so here we gooooo
Virtual reality/game au! Based on the Hunter Quest cards in which Killua is a thief and Gon is a warrior/knight person? XD (I hope this is something along the lines of what you wanted anon ^-^)
Gon looked up just in time to see Killua stumble, the sharp end of a silver spear sticking straight through his chest.
Gon stopped breathing.
The enemy yanked the weapon out of Killua and Gon’s partner jerked at the rough movement. Droplets of blood fell to the earth, staining the dirt bright red as Killua started to fall-
“No- KILLUA!” Gon shrieked and his throat burned.
He sprinted forward, slashing his sword through the air in a blur. The enemy - the one that had stabbed Killua, that had hurt Killua, had snuffed out Killua’s third and final life without even considering about the consequences of his actions- let out a cry as Gon’s weapon was buried into his heart.
The enemy burst into a multicolored fractions of light and scattered into the air. Coins and rare artifacts clattered to the ground- luxurious rewards for defeating such a high-level player.
But Gon couldn’t care less about riches while Killua was bleeding to death in front of him.
“Killua!” Gon collapsed to his knees and pulled the thief onto his arms. Killua hissed in pain and the blood drained out of Gon’s face. “Oh no, I- Killlua, I’m sorry, I’m so so so sorry! J-Just, stay still, I’ll find a healing potion for you! I know we have some, so you’ll be f-fine in no time, Killua, you’ll be-”
“G-Gon,” Killua gasped, beautiful blue eyes screwed tightly shut. “Sh-shut up. For once. Please.”
“B-But, Killua-”
“Gon.”
Gon shut his mouth with a click and Killua let out a shuddering sigh.
“Good. Now, I need you to- ahhh- listen, very c-carefully. Okay?”
Gon shook his head violently, digging his fingers into Killua’s pale arms. “You shouldn’t be talking, you need to preserve your energy so you can heal!”
Killua winced. “I c-can’t. The injury…it’s too severe. And that was my last life. I don’t have anything left to k-keep me in the game.”
“No, don’t - don’t talk like that,” Gon begged as his eyes prickled and burned. “There has to be some way to save you, Killua! I-I won’t accept anything else!”
This was a game, a virtual reality! There had to be a way to keep Killua alive! Like a loophole or a cheat or- or-
“Gon.”
A gentle, red-stained hand cupped Gon’s jaw. Gon looked down into Killua’s eyes- blue like cloudless skies and rolling waves and crystal gems- and his heart shattered at the calm resignation he saw there.
Killua’s voice was soft as he whispered, “Gon. There’s nothing you can do. I’m going to die.”
Tears spilled down Gon’s cheeks and landed on Killua’s bare chest. Letting out a quiet sob, Gon pressed their foreheads together as he cradled Killua to his chest. His breathing was erratic and his shoulders shook uncontrollably.
“I d-don’t want you to g-go,” Gon cried and Killua laughed brokenly.
“This isn’t goodbye, s-stupid. Find me, in the real world.”
Killua’s body started to glow. Gon’s breath hitched and his eyes flew open wide.
“No- NO!!! Killua, don’t-!”
“Find me,” Killua pleaded, voice starting to grow distant. “Find me, and then we can be together. For real.”
Gon opened his mouth in a scream, “KILLUA-”
His partner exploded into thousands of shards of light. Killua’s body dissolved into the air and the last thing Gon saw before he disappeared for good was the small, warm smile gracing Killua’s lips.
And then he was gone.
Gon sat frozen. Minutes ticked by but he didn’t move. His heart was still beating, his lungs still breathing, but he felt numb. Empty. He stared at the blood staining his hands- Killua’s blood- and his stomach rolled.
Squeezing his eyes shut, Gon lifted his face to the sky. He inhaled deeply and tried to think around the soul-crushing despair that threatened to swallow him whole.
Find me, Killua’s words echoed in Gon’s mind. Find me, in the real world.
Gon curled his hands into trembling fists. First, he had to wash off the blood drying on his hands. There was a town nearby where Gon could stay until he was strong enough to travel again. He would gather up his strength, find other allies to help him.
He would finish what he and Killua started here, in the virtual reality of this game. And once he won, he would take the winnings and use it to find Killua back in real life. Nothing else mattered beyond that.
“Wait for me, Killua,” Gon whispered into the empty canyon. “I’ll save you, I promise. Just wait for me.”

hello?? this is literally a classic shojo romance “he’s mine” love triangle showdown
like OHH Killua’s being so petty and passive aggressive here😭 typical cancer sun scorpio moon of him
ALL THE CAA SCENES START TO HIT DIFFERENT AFTER YOU GET CAUGHT UP ON THE KILLUGON LORE. this scene in particular and what follows up (Killua’s breakdown) is quite literally the result of an insecure gay boy who thinks his crush would rather be with a pretty loca woman instead of him.
i could talk forever and ever about this whole situation and Palm’s significance but there’s SO MUCH. i’ve been working on that Palm parallel post in my drafts since November of 2022. ITS SO MUCH. LIKE. NO WONDER TOGASHI HAS BEEN WORKING ON HXH SINCE 1998. EVERYTHING IS A FUCKING PARALLEL AND WEB. ITS ALL CONNECTED. IT ALL LEADS BACK TO KILLUA’S GAY ASS

So far I’ve read only a few chapters, but with the help of other tumblr posts and a little research of my own, I found just enough material to make a distinct comparison with Killua.
I know there’s more similarities & connections in general with Patalliro! and HXH. I might possibly make a part 2 of this post after I finish the manga.
I know some people only ship killugon for fun but I’ve been genuinely convinced for a while now. The math IS adding up. It’s always adding up and makes perfect sense each time.
The question is no longer
“ Is Killua gay? “
but
“ How much gayer can Killua get? “
Edit : before this gets taken out of context :
togashi has NOT said anything or confirmed this! This is only an observation and strong assumption! A theory if you will. Nothing in this post is spreading false information so please chill out Twitter 😭

i am VERY bothered rn
this is possibly one of the biggest pieces of gay subtext in hxh. Gon is Killua’s beloved. that was said. by Hisoka of all people.
actually, is that even subtext?? because it’s just THERE. Togashi picked up his pen and wrote that shortly after the comparison with a romantic couple. don’t even get me started on the CAA lovers suicide.
i’m bothered because this moment is NEVER talked about??
Tumblr media
like what the fuck
i was reading the comments on a yt vid of this scene and literally no one was talking about this moment. they were all just “haha hisoka and illumi funny interaction”
DID THEY COMPLETELY MISS THE PART WHEN HISOKA CASUALLY CALLED GON AND KILLUA LOVERS??
kind of unrelated but this bothered me too :
i’ve seen posts saying that Togashi “accidentally” or “unintentionally” made them seem gay since there’s a lack of female characters.
Tumblr media
DO THEY REALLY THINK TOGASHI IS THAT CLUELESS?? THE SAME MAN WHO THEY PRAISE FOR WRITING ALL THOSE COMPLEX PARALLELS AND SYMBOLISMS AND EASTER EGSS??
“Togashi is the goated manga mastermind 🐐🔥‼️”
then proceeds to doubt his intellect and abilities of creating manga.
THE MAN HAS BEEN IN THE INDUSTRY LONGER THAN MOST OF THESE DUDEBROS HAVE BEEN ALIVE FOR
Togashi knows EXACTLY what he’s doing.
i’m just so baffled how people still deny it. STILL. after piles and piles of proof and literal sentences in the manga.

the way Killua lights up when talking about Gon <3
Tumblr media
ik silva’s manipulating him here but from a distance it’s like how someone talks to their parent about their first crush 😭
AND THEN THIS ONE
Tumblr media
underrated moment
he’s even got his own little signature expression saved for conversations where he can brag and fawn over Gon
i can’t get over how he smells like Gon now😭 at this point i think they’ve been glued to each other’s sides for almost a year (since the exams happen every year on 01/07)
anyways,
he just LOVES talking about Gon
it’s fr so sweet and adorable and hhhhh i can’t take it
hxh makes me giggle and kick my feet more than any shojo ever has
thank u togoatshi 🙏
