Geranium Dress

It's Kids Clothes Week Challenge!!  Woohoo! I was hesitant to write about it beforehand because the last time I posted about KCWC, I ended up not sewing anything.  Big let down.

BUT this time I made something.  Now let's not focus on the fact that I messed it up and cut the pattern out wrong, but let's focus on that I actually cut something out and sewed it up in an afternoon.  I'm pretty proud of myself. Once I've tweaked it so that it fits right, I'll post a picture.

KCWC is basically a fun challenge every season to focus an hour (or more) a day for 7 days straight on making fun clothes for your kids.  Always good to have a motivator and to see other people sewing and being creative.

This afternoon I bought the uber popular Geranium Dress pattern by Rae. Savannah is in between sizes of most patterns and so I've been holding off on buying any until she's gone up in size.  I was able to buy both sizes of the Geranium Dress and I couldn't be happier with all of the different options.  Tops! Dresses! Flutter sleeves! Neck Options! I can see how this pattern will be a solid one that I keep coming back to.

What's up for the rest of this week?  Who knows, maybe something for fall or some bigger sizes for next summer? Let's not get ahead of ourselves, maybe I should just focus on fixing the dress I botched today.
