got my grades back for my courses last semester and most of it was to be expected, mostly A's, maybe an A-, etc. but i honestly can't get over the fact that my independent study (the buddy cole documentary) was for some reason given a B. like sure getting a B isn't bad per se, I usually get at least one B every semester and i honestly don't really care about what my exact gpa is as long as i can graduate, but come on. this school put me through months of psychological torment over this project and didn't even have the nerve to give me a B+??? i'm still coping with the self-doubt they forced on me and this bullshit is not helping!!

#honestly it's kind of hilarious ngl. especially bc i also got my documentary work counted as an independent study the previous semester #and the previous semester even tho i barely worked on the doc itself #(mostly just planning and putting together the crowdfunding which was still a lot of work but like compare it to the past few months)#they were willing to give me an A (my school doesn't do A+ so this is the highest mark possible)#vs this semester. like i'll admit my final assignment was late and could have been more polished #but i was literally on tour in documentary-mode 24/7 for several weeks. i filmed an entire comedy special! i put together a live interview!#not to mention having to fucking negotiate with my own college censoring the footage they'd promised me of an event i put together #and play nice with a professor who literally outed me on twitter in an attempt to cancel one of my best friends #at this point the ''B'' feels more like a petty grudge than anything else #like ok we can't get away with *actually* fucking over jessamine's grades bc clearly ze did do the work. but let's just give zir a B #like i will admit the audio quality in my final isn't great. and i could have used more polished footage in some sections #but counterpoint: 100+ students were arrested at a protest while i was editing and i was having a mental breakdown #the fact that i finished *anything* is goddamn impressive especially after they essentially conditioned me to hate myself any time i was #working on a project i loved!!!#due to the aforementioned student arrests my college did put out an option where we could change any letter grade this semester to pass/fai #so anything passing wouldn't impact our gpa if we didn't want it to. so i could just change the B to a ''pass''#but really what's the point. ''B'' is still a good grade and my GPA is fine (3.65 on a 4.0 grading scale. 2.0 is required to graduate)#it just sucks that after what i went through last semester i feel like nobody takes it seriously #i was reminiscing earlier about how it's honestly kind of funny how after that professor outed me on twitter #i was at the hotel with scott like an hour later sobbing and having an existential crisis about my relationship to gender #and scott was so supportive but also awkwardly being like #''i know i should offer the crying child a tissue but where the fuck are the tissues in this room what do i do''#and he just handed me a full-on towel instead like oh my god he was trying his best but also so clearly out of his depth #but of course i then had to remember how when i told that story to a different professor to be like ''this is how much scott cares about me #this guy called me fucking UNPROFESSIONAL for crying in front of the subject of my documentary?????????#like yeah maybe so but how DARE you call me unprofessional when a different professor tweeted my full name and gender without my consent #in an attempt to fucking cancel one of my friends for ''misgendering'' me for using pronouns i'm fine with him using!!!#i don't think i'm ever going to be able to forgive my college and i don't know how i'll be able to get through one more semester #that experience genuinely changed things about my psychology that i'm not proud of and i need to work through #so if i have to miss a goddamn kids in the hall event because i have class this november i am going to set something on fire

Me, knowing full well I'm gonna be evicted from the house I've lived in since I was 9 in just a few short months, socially exhauted from watching a constant stream of people come in and look around with intent to buy my childhood home for three days in a row now, knowing that this'll keep happening for the rest of the week and right this moment people are engaged in a bidding war over the truest home I've ever lived in and that I'm powerless to do anything about it since I'm broke as shit: Man why do I feel so bad right now

#I remember we used to move around a lot when I was a kid #but this place was where we finally settled for so long #like I know on some level we'll make it through this since we always have before but just. man.#this shit sucks dude #this little shithole of a house #with ghosts in the walls and asbestos coating the outside #is the cheapest place in the entire town #and even HERE it feels like we're barely making ends meet #and so just watching people waltz around with clear intent to take this from us #the only place in town we can fucking afford #just kinda pisses me off tbh #especially with rent and housing prices skyrocketing since fucking covid #one of the guys apparently wanted to buy this property just to rent out to people #and I'm glad I wasn't in the room for that one because I don't think I could have held my tongue for that one #plus all these tours have been fucking with my sleep schedule and I'm exhausted as shit lol #plus the stupid fucking property service that my ''homeowner'' does deliberately anonymizes the shit out of him #so I don't even have a name or a face to be pissed at #just this vague nebulous force that's been bleeding us of money for years #who's never once done anything to help upkeep the house he owns #and now that he's faced with a fairly large cost he can't ignore #(something with the city and new pipes)#he's just gonna sell it and make it someone else's problem #and just completely uproot and fuck over our lives in the process #and the worst part is that I know this isn't even an uncommon experience #landlords pull this bullshit all the time #and it drives me insane that people are just fucking OKAY with that #not to speak for everyone since I'm just one broke queer person #but this shit should not be allowed to stand #well I've hit the limit on how many tags I'm allowed to post so I guess that's the end of that #Pun's text Posts

if the predator birds gave me ideas u can imagine how inspired i feel after going down into the underground labyrinth/bunker/cave/18th century prison

#bc what if someone who has been on the tour countless times made a map of the thing #and then went on a killing spree down there #picking off the tour guide first then watching the rest of the group run around like mice #unable to find their way out #and when the lights go out? total darkness. i kid u not. our guide turned them off for a bit to simulate what it was like to be imprisoned #theres a tiny bit of light in patches where the light from the outside gets in #but what if u had to avoid those lights bc then ur an easy target #several little groups of innocent tourists flaundering around w their phone flashlights #having to turn them off. again. so as not to give their position away #just listening and sticking close to the wall and hoping to god they can find their way out of the fucking cave #accidentally stumbling into the room w the bones- thatd be a fun one #irlshaped

[ june’s room in the dorms ]

june is in the 3racha dorm along with hyunjin. stays often wonder how the two fish got stuck with 3racha but both of them are night owls so it works well.

june got one of the smaller rooms, but she actually prefers it that way. it forces her to be tidier rather than letting her mess take over.

stays have gotten to see a lot of her room as she likes to do study lives in there. most of the time she’ll set up her phone on her desk and sit in her chair while she writes, or plays some soft music, answering questions every once in a while.

june has a small desk in the corner, often covered with notebooks, books, her laptop, and her small, portable keyboard. it has become more of a storage place as she often will move to do her work sitting on her bed. it’s a bad habit but she can’t break it. bed is just too comfy.

most of june’s walls are covered in random posters, clippings, papers, etc. she likes to tape up any memorabilia to her wall so she can always see it and remember it. some are of her favorite movies, quotes she likes, pictures with her family, and of course, pictures with skz.

[ her dreamcatcher lightstick ]

june is a known InSomnia. She looks up to the group a lot and their lightstick is her prized possession. she has a section of her book shelf dedicated to their albums and merch she has bought.

[ her instruments ]

june owns three instruments currently, a small, portable, electric keyboard, her trumpet, and an acoustic guitar. she doesn’t play the trumpet as much as she used to but still likes having it. playing instruments is a self soothing thing for her, and when she gets too overwhelmed likes to focus on playing a song until she feels like she’s played in perfectly. she also likes to play covers of stray kids songs on her lives for stays.
