Young Justice Headcanons #1

Don't mind be posting this in German lesson, we are watching Christmas movies and this idea came over me. (The idea doesn't have anything to do with Christmas, I just hate them and didn't pay attention)

When Altantians sing it sounds something like gregorian throat singing.

The first time they heard it they were on a mission, Wally got hit while trying to contain the villain of the week. The wound wasn't deep, it didn't bleed much, but it hurt like a bitch. On the way back in the Bioship KF was laying in the back on a bench clutching his side, groaning every time a gust of wind shook the ship. After a particularly bad turbulence that had Wally wailing in pain, Kaldur'ahm stood and moved to the back, sitting down and taking Wally's head into his lap. After a while the others started to hear something akin to humming through the mind link, looking back they saw Wally seemingly asleep in Kaldur'ahm's lap. Kal was leaning against the wall, fingers raking through Wally's hair, eyes closed and head tipped back a bit, the angle together with the slight movement of his head from side to side gives a view of his gills fluttering in beat with the humming they can still hear in their heads.

The second time was after the weekend when the cave was empty, everyone was with their families, Connor and M'gann were on a date. Artemis, Robin and Roy just came back from Gotham, walking through the sitting and living area to the kitchen when they heard it again. The humming from a few weeks ago, but this time it seemed to vibrate in the air. Silently they creeped closer to the kitchen from where it seemed to originate, peeking around the corner they could see Kal sitting at the kitchen table, writing something, completely engrossed in it, not noticing them. He tipped back his head, mouth slightly open, gills vibrating he started making soft growl like sounds in the back of his throat. They fit perfectly in between the bouts of humming, blending together into a song.

"Is ... Is he singing?" Artemis asked, stunned at the display of Atlantian culture before her. When she didn't get an answer she looked at Roy, who's mouth was hanging open, staring at the dark skinned boy. Looking to her other side Robin was filming the whole thing "I'm so sending this to KF"

The third time was years later, the original team, Beast Boy, Robin and Blue Beetle were sitting on the couches in the living area, playing monopoly, Nightwing and Robin were obviously winning with Kal a close third (as the prodege of the King of Atlantis you had to pick up a thing or two about economics). M'gann, Gar and Nightwing were having a conversation about traditions, M'gann going on about Mars, while Nightwing was giving examples of how customs can change simply by crossing a river.

"Hey, Kaldur?"

Kal gave a sound of acknowledgement, encouraging Beast Boy to keep talking, while focussing on driving Robin to bankruptcy.

"Do the people in Atlantis sing? You know with the whole living in water thing? I'm sorry if that sounds weird"

Kal laughed, "Don't worry, I'm happy to answer questions. Yes, we do sing, the water makes the sounds travel differently, so it sounds different there than it does here, but yes, we do sing, it's part of almost every festivity"

"Oh that's lovely, can you sing something for us?" M'gann asked, always exited to learn something new.

Putting down the dice, Kal leaned back on his hands, face slightly angled towards the cave sealing. He started humming, after a bit his chest started rising and falling, with the growling and grunting sounds that made up a resemblance of a melody. And then he started singing in a low voice, still a bit growly, fist slamming on the floor to keep up a beat.

The team sat there on the couches, some on the floor and stared, mesmerized. Wally and Nightwing started humming with Kal, seemingly used to the Atlantian singing.

personally.. i was too invested in bluepulse and their dynamic to really invest in shipping jaime or bart with anyone else. I love their friendship, banter, and the kind of seemingly doomed/tragic love story angle of bart traveling back in time to protect the human race from blue beetle only to end up falling for him and having his goal shift from stopping jaime at all costs to saving him no matter what

I'm happy we get some lgbt rep for bart tho and i'm still happy for batuardo fans even if i don't personally ship it

I hate people who are like “go read the comics” or “this is so OOC” or “x would never do/say that”

Because like, when it comes to the Batfam/young heroes, canon is SO confusing:

Both teen titans/titans and Young Justice are Canon, but they can’t exist at the same time since Dick and Tim have been on both teams

In teen titans/TTG miss martian/m’gann and Artemis don’t exist (the same with Aqualad I think)

And in YJ starfire, cyborg, and raven don’t exist.

In TTG starfire doesn’t like Robin back, but in teen titans they’re dating.

In TTG Robin hated Kidflash, but in YJ Dick and Wally are best friends.

In both TTG, Teen titans, and TITENS, Dick is the Robin on the team, but in the DCAMU Damian is Robin and his love interest is Raven.

In the comics Jason is the happy, exited, and impulsive Robin, but in TITANS he’s super aggressive and just not like he is in the comics

In YJ Conner is vastly different from In the comics.

In the comics Artemis, Roy(Arsenal), Kory(starfire) and Jason(red hood) are in a group called ‘The Outlaws’, but in other comics, and shows they don’t even exist together.

In YJ Artemis joins the YJ, but Roy gives up being speedy and becomes Red Arrow. In YJ it’s revealed that Roy is actually a clone of the original, and the OG ends up becoming Arsenal, though totally different from his comic counterpart.

And as icing on the cake, Kory doesn’t even exist in YJ.

Some of the comics also totally fuck up canon, along with some of the games (like Gotham knights), but I’ve never played the games or read the comics, so I can’t really say a lot about that.

Anyway, I just wanted to say that people should let others enjoy their media in peace, even if it’s OOC to what you believe is “true canon”

(NOTE: I’ve seen a lot of people both defend and hate on new 52 because of the direct opposition it has with other comics, yet it is still canon. It just goes to show that nothing and everything is canon, no one is right and no one is wrong.)

hello, Sorry this question is a bit long, in your teen Titans will we see interaction for example raven and aqualad or starfire and kidflash because usually people tend to close their interactions in beast boy, cyborg, raven, starfire (you should sometimes donate only with starfire, sometimes raven) and on the other hand kidflash, aquald and dona (i don't know if roy will be there) as if they weren't friends with each other and they only live together with robin as in the center. because i would love to see things like discussions about sea animals with beast boy and aqualad, conversations between dona and cyborg, definitely coexistence of starfire and kidflash doing things like looking for a birthday present for dick robin together because they are his best friend and his girlfriend (although robin said before that star was his best friend woman) and also coexistence outside of robin.

Well, I’ve said before, characters like Aqualad, Speedy, Supergirl, Terra, and Batgirl we won’t see until Young Justice, but while we’re in the Teen Titans, (which more or less strictly includes Robin, Raven, Starfire, Kid Flash, Wonder Girl, Cyborg, and Beast Boy) there will be plenty of character interacting and episodes that pair up different heroes and explores their dynamics. If it’s possible, I’d like to do every single possible combination, but with seven main characters, I know that’s a lot, so maybe some will have to be sacrificed in the end. I hope not, though. The first major arc in the show is all about the Gordanian invasion of Tamaran, and how Starfire crash landed on Earth needing help.

Kamen Rider W: 1.31 The Beast Must Be Persued / 1.32 Now, in the Radiance

A mob friend of Sokichi asks Shotaro to help him settle an old score and get what he came back to Futo for. / While under pressure of being abandoned by Philip as his Double partner for not keeping up, Shotaro tries to decipher the truth behind Bito's framing.

the show revolves around the idea of two person working together to become a one superhero entity (Kamen Rider W/Double), and this entire arc is about the hardest challenge in every relationship; what if one of us is changing and it's affecting our relationship? what would you do if that happen? would you go, would you stay? in this episode, there happens to be physical change between one half of the duo (Philip), leaving the other half (Shotaro) become incompatible to form as Kamen Rider W anymore. a mysterious entity suggested a thing to Philip; partnering with the more compatible guy, who happens to be their friend and a fellow Kamen Rider Accel, Ryu. would they reform W? or is this the end of W? Well, the answer is no, LOL. Philip considered that idea only to be shoved off immediately by Ryu. Shotaro, who was devastated with their previous battle (which they got lost terribly due to their incompatibility) decided to solve the current case all by himself, which didn't end well. He then were found by Philip who started to gave a speech who basically is just "fuck incompatibility. I want to be your partner. If that means we can't form W again, that's alright. when I choose you as a partner, that means I'm accepting not only your strength, but your flaw as well. why? because nobody's perfect*" *"nobody's perfect" was a message from Shotaro's mentor. it's actually meant for their client who took the blame of all of his friends' crimes and got sent to jail for several years. (the client asked the mentor, got sentenced, freed, returned to the detective agency cause the mentor told him he has something for him).the mentor's message is like a closure for all of things he had done for the sake of his friends. because nobody is perfect. Somehow, that message also fits the entire incompatibility narrative of the episode, and it's beautiful. so they return to fight the monster. are they still incompatible? of course. but they were so stubborn and keep fighting it, they could surpass it. thus, the main form was born, as they became more synchronized than before, and saved the day. so, for the question on the above, what is the answer for both Shotaro and Philip? they choose to stay and find a way to make it work. all of that shown on parallel with their current case's narrative, and if that's not the episode of all time, then idk what it is. idk if this could explain the episode enough, it's pretty complicated LMAO

Young Justice: 1.16 Failsafe

When the Justice League is defeated during an alien invasion, the Team has to step up and fill their mentors' shoes.

This episode genuinely rewired my brain when I watched it back in 2011. Like? It became clear by halfway through the episode that what is going isn't "real" because of course all those characters wouldn't have died, the whole plot wouldn't change like that, so it leaves the audience in a state of suspense of what's really going on. It's like an insidious feeling. Through this end of the world scenario we really see things in these characters that we wouldn't otherwise, things that disturb us. That Superboy would be willing to sacrifice his own life for others so easily without a second thought. That Robin would be so ready to let his friends & himself die. That Kidflash isn't even mad when he dies with Robin though he knows Robin planned it all along. And the gut punch at the end of the episode when you realize not only was it not real (which we predicted) but that the hallucination was because of MISS MARTIAN. The mental toll that this takes on her because she didn't mean to and the mental toll it takes on the other characters having to deal with this knowledge of themselves and their friends it just... ugh. There's great follow-up in the next episode, too, but in general I wish the show on a whole actually followed up on it better. Anyway great episode.

Shit I somewhat want to write since the second season of Young Justice finished its run:

A few weeks after the aliens were defeated, Earth was safe and the antidote got distributed among the people Artemis broke into Lex Luthor penthouse and pulled a Roy Harper (the original) on him.

Give me back Kid Flash, she says taking the aim.

Because of your plan Wally's dead, she says. Unfuck it or become a pin cushion.

And Lex is like.

Okay.

He'll help, he'll figure out how to drag KidFlash back from the Speed Force, because it was his plan and it wasn't perfect because of the fatality. It irks Lex, to have a child sacrifice attached to saving the world (and because ppl keeps talking about heroic sacrifice and not Lex being brilliant and fuck that)

Then Artemis demands a job, bc she needs an excuse to keep an eye on him.

Buh buh? Okay? Is her answer, because that was the one thing Lex didn't expected to happen in this conversation. Ppl demanding at gunpoint to get hired are quite a novelty.

Superboy would eventually join the plot, because what are you doing, he's dangerous. At this point Lex would be invested enough in the mad science of it all to quip jokes and deadpan at Connor, but little else.

So Connor just sorta hangs out nearby and becomes someone to bounce ideas off. And probably hoping to God he hasn't inherited that brain because what even the fuck. But also because he can steer Lex away from more fucked up shit by dangling shiny exciting science challenge in front of him.

And maybe a little bit of bonding happened. Mostly Artemis and Lex cheerfully talking about fucked up parents, and Connor being the sole sane person in the room.

Wally would eventually be back.

And be very confused about having a child. And Lex Luthor being a grandfather figure to said child.

(and being more panicked about this than Wally. He decided to science himself up a teenage son for more reason than fighting Superman)

Is a sad af Thiam two-shot I'm developing with @raekensarcher.

The premise thus far is it's a few years after Liam is out of high school, the pack is around but spread out living adult lives, and Thiam is a content mated couple. Things have been slow in Beacon so they are out on a pre-full moon stroll. A group of hunters attack them, nearly killing Liam, and giving Theo more than a scare as he remembers who they are and why they are coming after him. In a desperate attempt to keep Liam and the pack safe, he has Scott take his memories of Liam, telling the alpha that to keep everyone out of the crossfire he has to go alone, but if he remembers Liam he won't be able to. The first part ends with Liam coming to, asking Scott where Theo is. The second is Theo coming back a few months later to a shockingly different blue eyed beta and an alpha that's bordering on feral.

Alone, Again

Is a Young Justice piece that I wrote a while ago and am revamping to be BirdFlash with some parts of the media and personal headcanons that I didn't know about or have at that point.

It's Wally/Kidflash's reaction and lack of coping after Dick Grayson/Robin, his boyfriend and personal savior, dies in the line of superhero duty.

Her sister got away but Artemis wasn't as lucky to get away from her father she didn't escape his abuse and other forms of torment he put her through so she was about 13 when Batman came in and broke up the fighting ring along with some other members of the Justice League a few years after they had formed JL

(12-13) here test subject for the power collars we eventually see throughout the series there still in my au but they were used on children first with different powers and no powers at all to see how people fare wearing them for long periods of time or to miss with Sadly one of those test subjects

In this version of my au Batman took her in a lot of the other children escaped and just went off somewhere that man took her in and sent her to a private girls academy and overtime after reserving her and know that she had a knack for archery and had her become green arrow psychic it was also around this time that the clone Roy project had

been made but in this AU version he's already a bit older and thought he was going to be a part of the Justice League around 18 but like in the show he left an Artemis takes his place he doesn't know that Artemis is Green arrow sidekick cuz sometime later since he gone off and done his own thing in a different part of the world and didn't pay much attention to what the league was doing until they learn to recognize him as his own her

The dynamic is about the same as it is in the show but he's a few years older

Artemis doesn't get on to the team right away unlike in the show in my au version I have it where she does want to consider joining the team but seeing as everyone kept complaining about how they wanted speedy / red arrow or whatever she decided to step back and not join the team at this point I would have it where around the same time

zatanna starts coming around Artemis does join the team and also around that time speedy does get in to the Justice League but they don't have it where he betrays them right away after finally joining the league some time passes before this happened

I also have it work in this hey you would set in the late 90s-2014 Artemis has severe burns to the left side of her face so she covers it with her hair and this fake mesh face mask thing she puts on but it still doesn't completely cover the scar she has
