Stanley just, keeps tricking Bill. Because Bill would definitely massively underestimate Stanley and how far he’ll go to protect Ford (like in the actual show). We also know Stanley has the street smarts between the twins and could absolutely tell Bill is full of it.

Han Jisung constantly being reduced to some lesser version of himself for struggles with anxiety/mental health, being rampantly feminized because he’s become 1/2 of the face of a popular ship within the fandom and consequently not fairly recognized for the sheer individual GENIUS he is; finally making a personal instagram and casually posting all the song covers he wants to, getting 3 tattoos in one session just because he can. Trusting us enough to share what the tattoos are on a fancall- sharing little tidbits of his personal life when he’s ready, and keeping things sacred to him when he’s still able to. Seeing him have this autonomy over himself and embrace the creative person he is and always has been is so, so refreshing. Maybe we’ll never know him beyond a killer instagram song cover, we’ll never see his baby photos or perhaps even bear witness to his first few tattoos. But we do know he cried 3 times watching the movie “Up”. And the little glimpses we get into his personality and his artistic vision as he walks this fine line between privacy and rawness as an idol are nothing short of endearing. I don’t know what was in those contract renegotiations, but he’s never seemed more like himself.

it’s very easy to tell the good satires and pastiches from the bad ones because the bad ones are too afraid to live within the form. like if you are doing work with fairy tales and you are refusing to look closer at the underlying logic and unspoken rules of what can seem at first to be a senseless form, you are not going to create meaningful work. to borrow a turn of phrase originally used by maria tatar, if you refuse to enter “the house of fairy tale” as anything more than a gawking tourist, you will miss the particular order to the way the table is set, the rooms that are locked vs the rooms that are simply difficult to enter, the set of the floorboards and the position of the furniture. whatever you build will then be a gilded imitation of how you believe the house of fairy tale ought to look, the table set according to your educated specifications and every door open. there can be no interrogation of themes from a writer who views the form as beneath them!

The Last Stand Exam

This file documents the questions administered to the adventuring party known as the Bad Kids during their Last Standard Exam, in their junior year at the Aguefort Adventuring Academy. This assessment was produced from a variety of class materials relevant to the curriculum of the Aguefort Adventuring Academy, as submitted to the principal Arthur Aguefort prior to the start of the school year. This list is accompanied by documentation of the creatures the party known as the Bad Kids was required to face as part of the exam.

The exam is graded out of 100 points; the scoring involves the students correctly answering the questions in the appropriate time interval as well as their heroic last stands. The students are expected to simultaneously fight off a horde of creatures and participate in the examination equally; each student in this party must answer two of the twelve questions.

Neither exam aids, nor outside interference are permitted during the examination period--this excludes clerical divine intervention, as appropriately performed by a member of the party in question. By standard, the proctor must be protected--death of the proctor results in a 30 point score reduction regardless of circumstance.

By Solisian School District Standards, this party reports excellent grades and a high level of competency with regard to independent adventuring.* They were allotted a grace period prior to exam initiation for preparatory spellcasting and review of the exam parameters. Based on prior academic achievement**, the students were allowed two chances to defer a question or utilize previous materials in their response. crying bc i just took my bins out and there was this poor woman with her two young kids, i'm guessing these boys were about 5 and 7, and she looked so tired, it's 10 30 at night, they obviously just got in, she's carrying all this shit under her arms

and these kids are. WAILING. and refusing to get out of the car, one of them is on his feet and like, star-fished to prevent himself from being physically removed from the car

so i come in a few minutes later and she's got her kids in the building, one of them is sniffling and softly crying as he trails behind her, the other is just in front of her with like, a tight grip on the tassels of her veil

and she's like, "honestly you guys, i don't understand, what are you so scared of snails for?"

because it was. a snail. they saw a snail. and they were so scared they both started sobbing

and one of them says something utterly unintelligible through his tears, and she's trying to be a good mother and not laugh as she says, "snails don't eat people," and then is flailing for something like, comforting or positive to say about snails and goes, "they eat rats"

man a real #jaheiracore moment that i think exemplifies the heart of this woman is when you meet her kids and find out she calls them all “cub” and then she starts calling you “cub” and when you ask her about it she’s like “don’t read too much into it. it’s literally a coincidence. it’s nothing.”

that woman is genuinely so so bad at not caring about things. will give impassioned monologues to everyone about how time has worn her down and she’s jaded and miserable and doesn’t care about anyone bc it’s smart to not care & then immediately adopts this guy she’s known for 3 minutes. and CLEARLY thinks no one will notice or call her on it. 100 percent convinced everyone around her believes her own bad lie. i am obsessed with her.

Hey so-

TL;DR: We should crash the Happy Kids app this weekend (June 24th-25th)

So we all benefited earlier last week when someone accidentally queued the season 4 special episodes to post waay ahead of schedule and we all rushed to get the episodes downloaded before they were taken down.

Now that they're out- all of that traffic that would've been caught on the episodes' original release date is not there because we've already watched them.

Members of the LMK team and other fans are asking for our help in supporting the show and we should because we all love it and we need to show that we love it so more seasons get made when (if) season 5 comes out

SO

I propose this weekend, June 24th and June 25th, that we all get on the Happy Kids app and watch the season 4 special, even if you've already seen it.

You don't even have to watch it- just have it on your phone on silent and let it play if you're doing something else. Set a timer to go off when the next episode needs to be played. The goal is to get these episodes so much traffic that the app crashes- and I think that's possible if we get enough people on board.

Will we get Lego (corporation)'s attention and get them to greenlight more seasons? Hopefully.

Will we show the LMK team and Flying Bark Productions that we love and absolutely go feral for the story they've created? Hell fucking yeah!

These episodes don't materialize out of thin air, they're made by real people who work REALLY FUCKIN HARD- the QUALITY of this show is ABSURD for how little marketing it gets- so lets do it for the people behind LMK and show them that we care.
