Little Stan getting manipulated by Bill has excellent angst potential but consider.

Stanley just, keeps tricking Bill. Because Bill would definitely massively underestimate Stanley and how far he’ll go to protect Ford (like in the actual show). We also know Stanley has the street smarts between the twins and could absolutely tell Bill is full of it.

And because Bill would absolutely loose his mind if he kept getting foiled by a snot nosed eight year old that isn’t even supposed to be here

I like to think that he doesn’t even try that hard he just does not even care about bill

Shen Yuan is two things:

1) chronically ill

2) rich rich

He couldn’t count on both hands the number of health scares he’s had, but he fought years to move out of his parents house and live independently!

…. Until he was found half dead by his sister and nearly died in the hospital. No one even knew until she showed up.

The smart thing- the thing his parents want- would be to sell his apartment and move back in so his family can watch him. But frankly, Shen Yuan was reaching the end of his 20s. He didn’t want to be 30 in his parents home being scolded for buying yet another anime figurine and fussed over all hours of the day by nannies.

So, like the adults they were, they compromised. Shen Yuan could live independently IF he put together a complete staff of live in specialists to help him. He had a few months to do so, and all had to be thoroughly background checked.

Which is how he ended up with an old estate filled with specialists who all bore striking resemblances to the cast of Proud Immortal Demon Way.

(SY endears himself over the course of months to the entire modern cast of svsss and collects them to live with him and be generously financially supported. Additionally he finally tracks down the hack author of PIDW and keeps him as well, taking away the financial strain so PIDW can achieve its true potential as art.)

man a real #jaheiracore moment that i think exemplifies the heart of this woman is when you meet her kids and find out she calls them all “cub” and then she starts calling you “cub” and when you ask her about it she’s like “don’t read too much into it. it’s literally a coincidence. it’s nothing.”

that woman is genuinely so so bad at not caring about things. will give impassioned monologues to everyone about how time has worn her down and she’s jaded and miserable and doesn’t care about anyone bc it’s smart to not care & then immediately adopts this guy she’s known for 3 minutes. and CLEARLY thinks no one will notice or call her on it. 100 percent convinced everyone around her believes her own bad lie. i am obsessed with her.

usually I have a really hard time doing arrangements of existing songs, but I felt unusually motivated to tackle this one and managed to see it thought to completion! I'll never not find supremely funny the fact that Tumblr remains the only social media that is "actually" social. The place where all the weirdos and introverts and mentally ill and severely associal people are.

Because everything else is just a "look at this photograph" type thing (read: 30 second hyper stimulating videos of nothing burguer) OR "I know exactly when you saw my message and you MUST reply IMMEDIATELY or else".

It's very reaction-based, rather than meaningful and continuous engagement with others. There's no back and forth. But here we're all doing our thing, being weird and anonymous and unfiltered about whatever it is, parallel playing on the dash like it's another day at the playground.

And someone can go "ooh let's play knights" and others will be doing mud cakes, or playing catch, and others are just quietly reading a book, or trading cards, or doing personality quizzes, or sharing earbuds. And there's collective snack time where we all consume the same thing, and sometimes there's a new fun game for everyone, and it's nice.

Hey so-

TL;DR: We should crash the Happy Kids app this weekend (June 24th-25th)

So we all benefited earlier last week when someone accidentally queued the season 4 special episodes to post waay ahead of schedule and we all rushed to get the episodes downloaded before they were taken down.

Now that they're out- all of that traffic that would've been caught on the episodes' original release date is not there because we've already watched them.

Members of the LMK team and other fans are asking for our help in supporting the show and we should because we all love it and we need to show that we love it so more seasons get made when (if) season 5 comes out

SO

I propose this weekend, June 24th and June 25th, that we all get on the Happy Kids app and watch the season 4 special, even if you've already seen it.

You don't even have to watch it- just have it on your phone on silent and let it play if you're doing something else. Set a timer to go off when the next episode needs to be played. The goal is to get these episodes so much traffic that the app crashes- and I think that's possible if we get enough people on board.

Will we get Lego (corporation)'s attention and get them to greenlight more seasons? Hopefully.

Will we show the LMK team and Flying Bark Productions that we love and absolutely go feral for the story they've created? Hell fucking yeah!

These episodes don't materialize out of thin air, they're made by real people who work REALLY FUCKIN HARD- the QUALITY of this show is ABSURD for how little marketing it gets- so lets do it for the people behind LMK and show them that we care.

I have to wonder if Will being into space themed sci-fi specifically is like. A weird side effect of being an Apollo child. He's the sun god and the first major NASA expedition was called Apollo and now sometimes his kids get Space as a special interest. Doctor Who, Dune, and Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy are also probably up his alley.

I like this thought a LOT and am immediately incorporating it into my Will hcs.
