gonna infodump about the lawmane kids now!!

So, I decided that there are 3 kids living, and one deceased. they all have Misa’s last name, and their names are [in birth order] Saeko Amane, Keiko Amane, and Loe Amane. Mind you, they’re all teenagers.

Saeko and Keiko are twins, born like an hour apart.

Saeko is the eldest Amane child, and he is also the one he resembles his father the most. He has a similar facial structure to his father, as well as his father’s pale complexion and black hair. He has his mother’s blue eyes, and his dress style is more similar to his mother’s rather than his father’s. He was born deaf, but he has hearing aids now. He knows sign language as well. He’s definitely the smartest of the Amane children, and he spends the majority of his time goofing off rather than doing schoolwork. It comes natural to him anyway, so he doesn’t need to study. Another trait he received from his father is that same protective nature, he’s very protective over his family. He also looks up to his father a lot, and he wants to work in forensics when he’s older.

Keiko is the second eldest, again only younger than Saeko by a little less than an hour. She’s trans [MtF] and her family is very accepting. She’s a little less bright, more similar to Misa in terms of intellect, but L and Saeko are very willing to tutor her. She’s very androgynous looking, with chin length blonde hair and blue eyes. She has a more alt-ish dress style, regularly wearing band tees and stuff like that. She’s also freckly and actually really pretty [🤭], but if you tell her she won’t believe you. Her relationship with Loe is much better than her relationship with Saeko. Keiko aims to be a lyricist when she’s older.

Loe is the youngest kid, and the one who resembles Misa the most closely. Pretty, popular, and preppy. She’s alright in terms of smarts and intellect, and she definitely resembles Misa more than L in terms of intellect. She’s a bit mean, and very intimidating, she just can’t communicate very well. She has a better relationship with her mother than her father [and so do her siblings]. She really likes toxicology and is probably secretly raising Foxglove in her room. She has a pretty singing voice, and she’s a nice actress as well, so she would make BANK a model like Misa, but she’s just more interested in studying toxicology. She’s probably one of those high school “mean girls”, well, she’s perceived as one, but she isn’t really one. She has a better relationship with Keiko than Saeko, the reason being that both Keiko and Loe envy Saeko and feel that their parents favor Saeko.

L is also a bit of a crappy father, sorry. He’s just at work all the time and never around to spend time with his wife and kids. But, on the occasion that he does get a break, he makes SURE to make it up to them. His does favor Saeko internally, but he feels horrible about it and he tries not to let it show. He just always wanted a kid that was just like him, and Saeko was like that for him.

Also, for the aforementioned deceased Amane child, there was one kid that ending up dying either when they were a few months old or due to Misa having a miscarriage. I haven’t decided on their name or the circumstances of their death yet, but it’s big angst fuel because “G--d-mnit, L, why couldn’t you have been home when it happened?!”

I just really need to write a fic in the Happily Ever After AU where Misa and L get married and have these kids. It would be quite cute, actually. If you have any ideas for these kids, tell me!!

i’m so glad that you acknowledged that L wouldn’t be a good parent because he 100% would NOT be. he dedicates so much time to his work and barely even gave thought to his successors, so he’d probably prioritize cases and work over everything else. however, he’d still try and make it up to them, you’re right.

i’ve always headcanoned misa as having her whole life planned out since she was a little girl. she had her wedding planned, her kids’ names, her job, her husband, everything. so when it comes to the miscarriage and all of the little imperfections in her family, she kind of struggles with not being able to live a perfect happily ever after like she wanted, but it’s as close as she’s getting.

i immediately took an interest in L and saeko’s dynamic. L having a mini-him running around would give him some sense of pride, although a bit uncanny at first *cough cough* beyond. saeko's super perceptive, so he definitely notices his dad's subtle favoritism and tries to shift his dad's favor to his siblings, which barely works. he'd probably feel some guilt over being, essentially, the only child his dad really gave a second thought in his eyes. you and i both know that would 100% not be L's intention, but it would come off that way to the kids.

i don't have much to say about keiko and loe imma be honest. they seem like they'd be pretty close, like you mentioned. i can imagine misa taking them out shopping and/or going out to places while L watched over saeko.

|| Unknown Means to an End || AU: ITERATION LOE || MAIN CHARACTER: Dove ||

There was one thing he always knew no matter what.

He was her little Dove, she loved him, cared for him, saw him as her child for a couple of years. After all, he was a genius, a natural one at that, and he was useful.

Dove was useful, and Mama would love him as long as he'd continue to be.

That was fine though, he loved being with her, he loved the scarf she made him, loved the Dove pins even more. He loved the fact his Mama was considerate enough to get him glasses, considerate enough to let him meet people, to let him play, to let him eat, to let him be happy, to let him exist.

She was so nice to him, allowed him to breathe, to still be around, to let him help his twin brother.

Mama was always so sweet.

She was the reason Dove was alive, that Dove could get his little Mik walking again, that Dove was so happy to simply exist and breathe and be alive. She gave him that luxury, and he shouldn't take it for granted.

So, Dove made himself useful. He would be a good Turtledove for her, and she would give him what he needed to make his family happy.

No more Dad going out for days for food, sometimes coming back empty handed just because he was that worried. No more of his twin staring at them longly as they ran around or simply ate breakfast. No more tears flowing after Leo accidentally broke Raf's arm again.

No more pain, and maybe one day, no more hiding.

But that wasn't now. So all Dove had to do was be a good picture perfect son, and his family would be happy again.

|| There Comes a Time || AU: ITERATION LOE || MAIN CHARACTER: Dove ||

There comes a time where you have to stop holding onto the words of your parents and discover the truth for yourself. A time where you are finally no longer being coddled. A time where you are forced to be just like they were, but better.

And it fucking sucks. Dove can attest to that.

Except this wasn't his father, no, this was his own mother. He dreaded the thought of following in her footsteps, he dreaded it more than the day he lost his Mom, his real one, and he just knew he couldn't do it.

He has a family, people to look after, and he would've left long ago if being in this position didn't give him the chance to save his sibling. His Twin at that, and he'd rather endure this torture and life day by day than have to lose them.

Any of them.

So he stayed silent. He kept to his role of Perfect Son while grieving his Mom, and missing his family. He listened to whatever his Mother requested, gave her what she wanted tenfold and hoped to god it would be enough that she'd stay quiet when he left.

If there's one thing that always stays true, it's that no matter how much of a genius you are as a child, you're still a dumb and naïve kid.

Why would she ever let go of him when she has seen his potential? When she's seen how capable he is? If Dove knew that it mattered, he would've been just as useless as his Mom warned him to be, but he knew he was special, and he was desperate.

It didn't matter. When it came time to go, she had said no. She wanted him to stay, had cried faux tears over a child that was only briefly hers, had whined about losing the only person she had left.

And if there's one thing everyone knows, it's that no matter what, you always have to listen to your Mother.

|| Making Do With What You Have || AU: Robots, Robots, and– Oh! More Robots. (RROMR) || MAIN CHARACTER: Frida ||

She didn’t know what to think when her mother walked in with a little boy. She didn’t even know how to begin to process it when she was told that same little boy was just a robot. A nice little deal someone owed her mother as always.

He was silent, and freaky, and always smiling, and Frida didn't like him. Not at first at least.

If there was one thing clear, it was that he was supposed to replicate someone, but it was not a good job whatsoever. He was supposed to be the leader, he hardly said two words to her, and he seemed to look down on her in a way.

It was only the first time they fought that she realized, that they realized, he wouldn't compare.

It hardly took five moves before he was down, and even less than that the second time. He was made to be talented, but a robot can only compare so much to true years of training and work, even if it's booted in their brain.

That day.. was also when his look completely changed towards her. He didn't talk more, but he practically had stars in his eyes whenever she was around him. It was pathetic, and it showed just how utterly weak he was, how less than, how much better Frida was of a soldier.

And she cared for him.

Not because she wanted to, oh god no, but it was because of how utterly useless he was. He wasn't better than her, he provided no new ideas, no tactics, nothing. He was designed to be a leader, just like her other was, but he couldn't even compare to the turtle before, even if he was probably dead and died as just a baby.

He was a pathetic excuse of a remake and nothing more, but.. Frida could make him better. He was a hunk of metal that didn't matter, but they wouldn't get rid of him. She even got grounded for suggesting so! If that was going to be it, she was going to make him better. Make him worthy of being around her and working for her mother.

To be claimed as her mothers son. To call this robot her other, her brother at that.

He may be an empty shell now, but she would make him oh so much more than ever thought possible.

Okay okay I know how different and awesome it would be with AWOSAN with Raph with Leo, but consider

AWOSAN: Portal Brothers

You know when Leo finds out what Mikey can do he might forbid him from doing it again because of the damage caused just by opening it with their brothers and following him.

Are you suggestion an au were Leo gets home through Mikey’s original portal.

Sees the damage opening the portal did to Mikey and freaks out a bit.

They are both still recovering from the invasion. Leo from the prison dimension and Mikey from opening the portal.

Mikey is so excited to share powers with Leo (at least something good came out of all this) but Leo is freaking out. Mikey almost died trying to save him. He’s not worth that.

Mikey wants to practice their powers together and Leo says no. That Mikey can’t make portals.

And any little sibling knows when an older sibling tells you you can’t you’re going to. It’s the rules.

Cue Mikey saying he can and trying to prove Leo wrong. Leo tries to stop him and the two end up in Usagi’s world. Battered and wounded. The new portals didn’t leave either of them unscathed.

They get found by Usagi.

No obviously they have “a way home” but Leo is terrified what that could do to Mikey and they can’t really train that ability here. Maybe they practice in the middle of the night.

Usagi still falls hard for Leo. But it’s different Loe is being a dotting big brother. He loves Mikey and they need to have a good conversation about Leo make Mikey feel like he can’t do things because Leo has never acted that way before. Leo has always believed in Mikey.

They also need to have a conversation about Leo’s self worth. But I think Usagi’s the one that would start that.

It’s also Mikey sitting there watching the blue boys fall in love. He is the number one supporter. Him and all the little kids have plots on how to get Leo and Usagi together.

Mikey is not only in the betting pool on when Leo and Usagi get together but he is winning it.

He also gives Usagi the scariest talk of his life when Usagi tries to baby both of them. They are both still battered by the time the neko clan attacks and Mikey is done being babied and Leo shouldn’t be babied either.

It leads to a very fun dynamic. I don’t know if this is what you were asking for but it’s a fun idea

I now have designs for three of the OCs, Reiko, Saeko, and Loe!

I had ideas for their designs at the start, I was just too lazy to draw them so I made picrews to look like the concepts.

Below is the one I made for Saeko. I knew I wanted him to heavily resemble his father, so I tried to channel that with Saeko’s long black hair and pale skin. Also, he has his father’s poor vision, but wears glasses rather than contacts. I forgot his hearing aids tho 😭. He got his freckles from his mom. He got his ears pierced when he was little, Misa had taken him and Keiko to Claire’s and Keiko wanted to get her ears pierced, but she was a wimp and wouldn’t do it unless Saeko did too. Saeko also has his father’s disproportionate hands 😭. His dress style is super preppy and more for use than looks. He usually copies his father’s “white M-shirt, blue jeans” sort of uniform.

The first design I made was Loe’s design, I had an idea of how she would look very early on. Blonde high school “mean girl” vibes, just like Misa. The story also takes place in an AU where the Kira case didn’t happen, but Shinigami and Death Notes still exist. I was thinking about making it so that Misa was born with the Shinigami eyes, and by a horrible stroke of luck, so was Loe. I’m not sure about this, though.. Below is my design for Loe. A bit tan, and with Misa’s greenish blue eyes, and also with Misa’s freckles. She looks a lot like Misa and none like L, for the most part, and she’s also similar to Misa in terms of height. Loe, if any of the kids, is likely the one to wear lots of makeup, if any. She also probably dresses in a coquette sort of style, yk? She goes to Misa for help with picking outfits, mostly. Sometimes she wears stuff that Misa is all for [“Yeah, it’s cute!”] and stuff that L is not vibing with. Usually because Misa is much more lenient with the amount of skin her kids are showing.

The second design I made was of Keiko. Saeko helps Keiko with passing, so I knew that Keiko would still have a pretty feminine appearance. All the kids are pretty freckly, and then Keiko has Misa’s eye color and nose. She has L’s hair, though, the floofiness and color and everything. I also think Keiko would be the one to wear the most jewelry, but she would likely also wear lots of baggy/COMFY!! clothes. Probably to hide from dysphoria yk. Keiko has those cute lil braids in her hair, Misa did them for her. Don’t ask why everyone is all looking to one side, btw. Lolz. Keiko is also the second tallest kid.

Btw if you go with the "Misa and Loe were born with shinigami eyes" thing you'll have to think about how growing up surrounded by the constant reminder of death would affect her. For BB it made him incrediboy desensitized to the concept and also made him think murder isn't that bad actually because they were gonna die anyway. It's something that affects the person deeply so you might need to modify the character from how she is in canon.

Anyway I lovee all their styles and how different they all dress. That's always the hardest part for me when making ocs lol

okay, I've spent an hour reading the newspaper, if I wanna get something productive done today I should probably get up

I got options, but I also got a priority, and I don't feel like it, so. you know. plus quite a few options are situated upstairs, where there is a sleeping baby, who may or may not wake up if I so much as walk up the stairs

you know, when I first talked to my boss again and it was clear I'd be out of work for another five or six weeks or so, I was actually excited. I made a whole list, I signed up for a few shifts volunteering at the fairtrade shop, I thought about picking up running, I have the Big Bang I should really start doing something for, ... like I'm not saying I would've done everything I was thinking about, but I was going in feeling optimistic, you know?

so the first week I spent in hospital, the second week I spent home with the little one, going back to the hospital daily for 2-3 hours, and now in week number three we had a bank holiday, a school holiday, a Wednesday (everyone's home on Wednesday) and then today, where I am home with the little one once again cause we had a follow-up with the doctor in the morning.

like, don't get me wrong, kids go first, that's how parenting works, I'm fine. doesn't mean I'm not frustrated either though.

point is. I don't feel like doing shit.

I promised to make the vol-au-vent though...

so now the question is: do I make the vol-au-vent first, and then start on cleaning the garage or sth equally productive? or do I guesstimate incorrectly how little time the cooking will take and only start on it at the very last moment I need to so it's done(ish) before Loes gets home?

Future au with my oc's

So for this post, I'm going to put what my oc's are doing roughly 20 or so years into the future than when the story takes place.

The oc's I mention are the ones who are still alive, so if you don't see an oc of mine, you think you should, just comment and I'll tell you if I forgot about them or if they're dead.

Also, this may not stay fully canon, so don't take this all as facts just yet.

Okay, let's start!

Zena and Thaniea

Zena embraced her role as the Divineli, protector of the universe, being able to navigate through the many different galaxies of her universe to ensure nothing bad happens.

Thaniea abdicated the Hio throne on Winxetania. She told her parents and siblings that she had no real claim to the throne and that she would only take the throne if they had asked for her on their deathbed or if they had all died and she was the only one left.

In her late twenties, Zena married Thaniea Hio, keeping her own last name as Thaniea changed her name to Thaniea Xa-Qui. Only a couple of years later, in their thirties, Zena and Thaniea would welcome their first child, a kid (gender unknown) named Kalen Xa-Qui (middle name is Mazen).

Zena retired with Thaniea during Kalen's childhood, as they wanted their kid to have a good and normal childhood. Zena and Thaniea retired to Zena's family's farmhouse on the planet of Nosomia.

Zena and Thaniea had no kids after Kalen, as they soon discovered Kalen had just been a miracle and it wasn't going to be possible to have another.

When Kalen was 19, they left their mothers in a state of panic when they disappeared, going on a mission with strangers they had just met. This had worried them as Harrows were on the rise again, and they would soon discover, they had good reason to worry.

Zena and Thaniea still live in the Xa-Qui farmhouse to this day.

Vero, Orsk and Wren:

The Crowned Lear crew ended up splitting up soon after the defeat of Hal Nex.

They had enough money for their lifetimes and decided to go their separate ways.

Vero and Orsk married soon after, being able to afford the wedding, Wren was the maid of honour and was so happy. She was crying (although she'll never admit it).

Vero created a new crew and became the pilot and captain of his new, much bigger ship. Orsk never joins him on this ship, but instead, video calls him and talks to him from home.

Wren became a mechanic who fixed ships and machines. It was said that if you were ever in a bit of trouble and needed some help, she would be able to help you. Authorities believe she's still a bounty hunter, but there was never any proof.

Whenever Vero needs help with his ship or his new crew, he'll visit Wren. Sometimes, he even gets lucky and Orsk will also be there.

Orsk, as being an Endei, has a much larger age span than Vero and Wren.

At age 50, Orsk discovered him and Vero were having a baby. (Endei are sexless creatures who can have children no matter what gender they identify as, they can have children either asexually or sexually).

He reunited with Wren during this time, as Endei's pregnancy span is roughly a year long. He stayed with Wren while Vero stayed with his crew, having no idea about the baby.

Then, tragedy struck (too many spoilers to reveal), but let's just say everyone involved was affected vividly and it broke many people.

Their story ends there for now, as revealing more would ruin a lot of the story, just know that one of these people ends up finding their way to the Xa-Qui farm house.

Tye loe, Crash, Talyra and Leta:

Tye Loe stayed on Winxetania.

He had no reason to leave, and he had no problem living there. After a while, Tye Loe convinced Crash to stop living on the streets and instead move in with him. They didn't have feelings for one another, but still, they remained quite close and would help where they were needed.

Things changed after living with one another for a bit, and the two began a relationship. Tye Loe was still loyal to his late husband, so their relationship was really just something to bring their friendship closer, and just so they could in each other's company.

Afterwards, Crash had been able to convince Tye Loe that they should leave Winxetania and start over. The two of them ended up living with Talyra and Leta, who welcomed them with open arms.

Tye Loe and Crash never married, Tye Loe only ever wanted to marry one man, and Crash wasn't bothered with marriage in the slightest.

The two broke up after a couple of years when they realised it wouldn't work. They went on to see other people while still living with each other.

Talyra and Leta stayed together, their marriage was a strong one and could never be broken.

Talyra and Leta never had any children, although they had wanted children, they had soon realised that their thoughts about having children had changed and they only needed one another.

Talyra and Leta stayed together throughout their entire life, they spent every day of their lives waking up next to one another. Nothing could ever separate the two of them.

Aeron:

Aeron returned to Noxand after the mission was completed. He hadn't seen his siblings in over two years and decided it was time he returned.

Aeron returned to open arms, who took their brother in, not wanting to lose him again.

Aeron became King of Noxand at age 32. He had not been ready as he had spent most of his years at parties and not taking his duties seriously, but still he tried his best.

As Aeron never showed interest in getting married or having children, people began to worry that there may be no heirs to the throne.

Luckily, Aeron found a woman who caught his eye, a tall, strong lady who he was very much attracted to, and quickly married her in order to quiet the public. A year later, he would marry his husband as well, causing shock on Noxand, although it's not like they hadn't expected it from their King, and rulers of Noxand were known for their many spouses.

Aeron became a father to twins afterwards. Although rumours went around that the true father was his husband, people soon silenced themselves when the twins got older, and it was shown that they had the same black eye and skeletal hand marks as their father.

Aeron soon took his role as King seriously. No longer was he a party man who went out every night taking any substance he could get his hands on. He was now a husband, a father, and a king.

War broke out on Noxand when the twins were a couple of years old. Aeron and the twins were taken away. As his wife was a soldier before they married and his husband knew how to plan attacks, they were left on Noxand while Aeron was taken to live with Thaniea and Zena on Nosomia.

Aeron became a widow twice only a couple of days later, and he couldn't come back to his home planet for another month after that.

The man was a hollow shell from who he was before, but he took the advice Tye Loe had given him when he had met the man, and he continued on for his twins.

Aeron became a king and was a good ruler for his people, but at what cost?

Finch can be very intrusive, crawling on people and taking their things without asking. (She always gives them back thou.) Finch is very naive and childish but, due to her trickster personality is very crafty. When she’s not pulling pranks, Finch can be very friendly. Finch hates being isolated and highly desires companionship.

Dislikes: Sudden loud noises, inactivity, and rain

Backstory: Not much it knows of Finch’s past, not even to Finch. The farthest back her memory goes is waking up in the Lost Forest. Finch resins in both the Lost Woods and Kokiri Forest, as she finds the Kokiri more fun to play with than the Deku Scrubs that live in the Lost Forest. Finch gained a reputation around the forest for her prankster personality, causing many Kokiri to be annoyed or avoid Finch. The Forest Sage and leader of the Kokiri, Saria quickly befriended Finch. Over time Saria became like a big sister to Finch, she was the only Kokiri that put up with Finch. Finch learned how to play the flute so she could play songs with Saria.

A yellow fairy named Tsubaki would soon become Finch’s companion. Tsubaki was a trickster like Finch and found a séance of kinship with her.

Extra Trivia:

. It is said that skull kids are created when a child wanders into the Lost Woods. Implying Finch may have been a Hylian child that adventured into the forest and thru a terrible fate became a skull kid. Sines Finch has amnesia she can’t confirm or deny this but, she doesn’t care.

. Finch is a name given to her by Saria. Their birth name is unknown.

. Finch eats worms and offers them as treats to others.

. Elise is initially annoyed by Finch and the two butt-heads.

. Out of Universe Creation Notes: Finch was originally a Twill OC named Cheshire and was the daughter of Mark and Elise. (Back when Mark was a twill OC.) In 2018 Mark and Elie’s romantic relationship was scraped. In 2020 Cheshire was reworked into Finch.
