It occurred to me that Kid Cosmic clearly needs glasses and has needed them since he was little. And that they’ve always been orange-tinted.

Most orange-tinted glasses are designed as blue light filters. So perhaps he has some sort of photosensitivity. Whether that be some physical issue with his eyes I’m not familiar with, or maybe just a sensory processing disorder. Kinda like me, though I’m more sensitive to sound…

He wears noise-canceling headphones. Mf def has a sensory problem.

My guess, since he sometimes wears the headphones and sometimes doesn’t, is that he isn’t as sensitive to noise as he is to visual stimuli.

Tbh I blame the streaming format. You don’t get as big a buzz over things when you release all the episodes at once 😭

But to add to your list: Dogs In Space, Carmen Sandiego, Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts, Bee and Puppycat (it has a small fandom but deserves better)

I'm so sad that Netflix's original animation doesn't have a bigger audience. Where is the Kid cosmic fandom? Where are fandoms within fandoms just dedicated to horse from Centaurworld? Where are the millions of people who love Hilda? Why is no one screaming about Deadend Park?

The Netflix series Kid Cosmic was originally pitched at Disney Television Animation as a proof of a show for Disney XD & Disney Channel.

Kid Cosmic got passed in favor of The Owl House by Dana Terrace according to Craig McCracken in 2023 on his Created By Craig McCracken! panel at Gallery Nucleus, Disney would let him keep the rights to pitch it to Netflix Animation

The original pilot had Nicholas Cantu ("The Amazing World of Gumball", Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Mutant Mayhem") as Kid before Jack Fisher took the role on the Netflix version.

Other early concepts was episodes on Kid's school and Jack McBrayer voicing a FBI Agents who could have been sidekicks to Biker in Black.
