Spreen and little Missa.

I was messing around in Illustrator, one thing led to another and I ended up creating a scene from a fanfic I wrote a while ago… I know it's not a big deal, I just… I don't know, I wanted to share it, maybe no one cares about this, but, it's special to me…

I had never drawn Spreen before, it was a challenge and it was a lot of fun. I think it looks good. All I know is that I want to hug little Missa and protect him from all harm.

It may seem like a very strange situation but this has an explanation…

Some context:

The name of the fanfic is "The descent into my hell…" (it's on Ao3) The story tells of Missa's adventures on his three-month journey as he searches for the "perfect gift" for Philza (when is kidnapped by wolves).

The third chapter (I love you, capo) tells us how Missa, who in one of his adventures, due to various events, transforms into a little boy, while is lost in the forest is attacked by mobs, but is rescued by Spreen (who had been missing for months), he is completely unaware that this child he is his brother, and he reacts violently, completely out of his mind, when Missa tries to explain it to him, thinking that it is nothing more than a trap by the federation to make him return to the island… However, this reunion is more important for them than they themselves imagine…

I’ve been reading deathduo fics for the last couple of weeks(mostly in Spanish since I’m fluid in both English and Spanish and there’s seem to be more in Spanish) and I had realized how heavily mischaracterized some of this fics can be with them so I did these two things.

They need to write the kids more and a bit more of the family, it doesn’t have to be full canon but cmon guys 😭

It's almost 2am and I'm thinking about Phil said he was gonna write back to Missa and then he totally forgot

there’s so much angst with the eggs disappearing so to cope im making a comedy movie style babysitting au out of it

modern au where phil leaves his kids, chayanne and tallulah, with babysitters tubbo and niki while he goes away for a week on a trip with missa to someplace remote and with zero cellular service, leaving them with a long list of VERY strict orders on how to take care of the kids. the whole Don’t give tallulah any foods starting with a z, bedtime is always 9:00 SHARP, here’s twelve extra inhalers so please make sure tallulah always has one, don’t let chayanne use the stove unsupervised on weekdays, if they get a nightmare we have a simple 32 step solution, etc

tallulah and chayanne promptly run away to try and “follow” phil bc they miss him, so tubbo and niki need to get them back before 1) phil gets back and they have to break the news Or 2) the kids actually reach phil

tallulah and chayanne have cheats enabled these kids are blissfully dodging dangers without even noticing. having a great bonding experience. meanwhile tubbo and niki are fending off Evil Goons of dubious origins, wind up covered in mud and birdseed, they’re full on getting chased around like they’re the wet bandits and the entire city is kevin mccalister with a vendetta

so they end up having to enlist the help of cellbit (private investigator who’s never actually been hired before but doesn’t want to admit it’s his first case), roier (there to support his husband. accidentally convinced them he’s also a private eye), and jaiden (very obviously is a criminal. is actively committing crimes. cellbit fails to notice because he’s too excited about his first case)

just. imagine. tubbo on the phone with phil saying Everything’s Totally Okay Haha The Kids Are Sleeping Though!!! Ignore The Growling That’s The TV!! while being actively pursued by an escaped zoo polar bear (named cucurucho) on a golf cart or some other hijinks while tallulah and chayanne are at the petting zoo. the ideal babysitters au

Before I go to sleep, a thought for your death family/pissa AUs. Night shift worker Missa and day shift worker Philza. Missa crashes into bed and falls asleep fast when he gets home in the mornings, and Philza is usually busy getting the kids up to take them to school. And then Missa wakes up early to bring the kids home and make them dinner (which they all call breakfast because it's Missa's breakfast) and then he has to go to work before Philza gets home. They used to hire a babysitter for the hour or two before Philza got home (probably tubbo? He was cheap if they threw in joining them for dinner) but once the kids got to around 8 they started to let them look after themselves a bit.

oh i'm not very well versed in percy jackson at all, I read a couple of the books as a kid, saw the OG movie, and recently watched the new show. im a fan in a very casual sense of the word

I'm only getting into it rn because Reyna is running a PJO-setting dnd game for my group of friends. We're borrowing the PJO sandbox but bringing in our own action figures, so to say.

I feel like...we have skipped over the whole prison arc-

Because when I saw it. I was instantly smacked by nostalgia of Cops and Robbers, and... No one, as far I'm aware, made a whole au about it-

Like-

Prisoner Philza & Guard Missa.

Or better yet, a criminal Missa who is disguised AS a guard, and is trying to break Roier and his boyfriend Cellbit out of prison. However, Cellbit said he refused to leave behind his father figure, aka Philza whose the most well known criminal for his entire crimes against the Federation.

Now Missa is sweating bullets, because he didn't sign up to do a whole jail break. He was confident before, because he planned ahead but now he's gotta save a famous well known guy, or else Cellbit will refuse to go and that means Roier won't leave either. He has to add more months to this whole jail break.

So Missa bit back his fears, and hesitantly agreed that he will find a way to help Philza break out. He's never seen this infamous man, and now he was about to once he finally rose through the ranks where he was trusted enough by the prison guards to bring meals to Philza.

They kept Philza much more isolated from people, to ensure, that he wouldn't come up with any schemes or ideas. The corridor was more dim, barely lit up...and it was making Missa regret every decision possible. He should have just left and never look back, but curse his heart. He couldn't leave Roier behind, and if Cellbit is familia. Then so be it—

With shaky hands, Missa unlocked the door to Philza's cell and slowly entered inside. He was aware that he wasn't supposed to enter, in fact, there was a food slot for a reason. But Missa is literally trying to get the guy out, so... He definitely has to make up some lies to tell the guards on why he was inside the cell.

Missa immediately froze when he heard slight shuffling coming from the dim cell room. He could barely make out a silhouette that was rising up from the bed, and faintly...he could see large black wings flutter and spread out, which Missa assume, may be Philza's wings stretching out. Missa swallowed his fear down his throat, and carefully he set down the tray of food on the ground, making an very obvious clatter noise which immediately there was a loud crack which made Missa quietly wince.

Missa slowly looked up, and immediately almost tripped backwards when he saw blue eyes stare at him, almost as if Philza was trying to read his soul. He nervously grinned at the infamous crow father and awkwardly waved.

"..Hola, es...tu...you're...you're Philza, si?" Missa quietly asked. Philza's eyes slightly narrowed, contemplating answering but considering this fool of a guard was inside his cell and might...die, or get fired immediately for entering his cell. Philza knew that was a strict rule, no guards were allowed in his cell unless it was for trial related stuff.

"...Whose asking" Philza finally said.

"...Cellbit..." Missa quietly replied. "B..Bolas? He said...to use that word? I..No sé, I'm...just here to break you out. Please...I wasted enough time here.."

Oh

Oh.

Missa is breaking him out. He was in this place for a reason, and Cellbit sent him.

Well, Philza can adjust to this. It was good to finally have something new, an actual plan forming in his head. He was going to finally escape from this place, save the others, hell burn this place down while he's at it.

Philza hummed thoughtfully. "..What's your name"

"...Missa"

"Well, Missa, I think you already know my name, but it's Philza. Honored to be working with you, for now until my escape"

"....Yes"

"You also really shouldn't be in here, mate"

Missa pinched the bridge of his nose, letting out a tired sigh. He ...he was still trying to come up with a lie for that, but hell, sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. "Just...knock me out"

Yes, Missa does eventually get Philza out once he understood how to get rid of those bracelets that prisoner's have. The bracelets were like shock collars basically, so it'll hurt a lot and signal guards that a prisoner was escaping...

Philza happily burns the place down, while Baghera, Cellbit, Slime, Foolish, Jaiden and Carre quietly chant "Bolas" behind him.

Missa is just staring at the burning building, already making his will and retirement letter. But... unfortunately he won't get far since he already caught the Crow Father's attention and his heart.
