Hello, i was wondering what kind of reactions would the ten family heads plus Zahard, V and Arlene have if they met Wangnan, baam, Wangnan and Baam, and KhunWangBaam. And so i am writing this, to you to ask what do you think?

oh, in terms of the ships, like how they'd react:

I don't expect that Arlene or V (he's a bit chiller about this) would tolerate Wangnan in any respect, given the whole alleged son of the man they declared war on situation (there's definitely something to be said about generational grudges here). And that's before you bring the ships into it (I suspect Arlene wouldn't be all that supportive of a Great Family partner for her son either, but Wangnan would have the bigger target). The exception is if they wanted to use him against/discredit Zahard somehow.

(On the other hand, it feels like Zahard would be weirdly accepting of wangbam, depending on the real nature of his connection to Wangnan. He'd be Very Certain that Fate is screwing around with him though. Not sure about the ot3; it'd depend on how bad of a spat he's having with Eduan at this point.)

I don't have enough information on the other Family Heads to guess at what all of them would think tho. But:

Gustang would not care, or at least wouldn't act like it. He hasn't put in the effort to care much about romance since his own was ruined. He might make some amusingly derisive comments about Bam dating "such weak little bugs" though.

Arie probably wouldn't care either.

Traumerei would probably back off if Zahard does; he strikes me as too devoted to interfere in something the King shows approval of. But I wouldn't put it past him to try to "manage" them somehow, what his control freak behavior. On the other hand, Traumerei has an active distaste for Khun and wants him gone.

Eduan hates every aspect of these relationships, but most especially when his thieving traitor son is involved. He won't directly do anything about though.

2. What would they do if the other woke in a manic state after a nightmare?

Of the three of them, Wangnan is the one who is most likely to wake up screaming (it's actually canon that he does at least), but he's also very unlikely to talk about his dreams too. It's very obvious that he's very distressed, but actually getting him to elaborate on it is...tough. Distracting him by talking about other things is generally the best bet for dealing with him. I don't think either of the other two would wake screaming per say. Although I do think that it wouldn't be out of the ordinary to find Bam shaking from a particularly traumatic nightmare. Also visibly distressed but quieter about it. Khun makes him hot chocolate while Wangnan wraps him in blankets. Comfort and company are how he recovers. Khun is generally the most composed of the three after a nightmare, as he has been literally trained to keep a lid on emotions like that. Only a few people can tell that he's pretty upset (Bam and Rak because of their initial bond, Isu because he's brilliant, and Wangnan because honestly he can sense distress). Khun will actually talk through his nightmares and worries with Bam and Wangnan, though he tries to act like its not a big deal. They know better though.

9. What are their thoughts on having children?

You mean besides Wangnan kneejerk adopting every person that he forms a team with? I don't think they'd be too eager about the idea, at least not for a very long time. Bam doesn't know enough about himself to make himself responsible for a little human, even if he does have the patience for it. Khun still has hangups about his own family history that would make him hesitate to go that far. And while Wangnan loves the idea of having a "family," he treats kids like peers or 'small adults' and doesn't have enough of a filter to be proper parent yet.

Top five Wangnan ships, please!!

1. Khunwangbam aka “Checks-and-Balances”

There’s a definite balance here that I appreciate tbh. Y’know I don’t always go for the ot3s, but I can fashion a balance that makes this relationship mostly equal. Wangnan is the inspiring heart behind them, Khun is the mind that keeps them on task, and Bam is the soul and driving force of change. I feel like they cover for each other’s flaws the best this way. also like, they cover the full color spectrum this way. (also, its just really believable that Wangnan would fall for both of them honestly.)

2. Khunwang aka “Heavenly Mirror”

Tbh I rank this equally with wangbam -because I like them both a lot but for different reasons- but Khun is just waaayyy easier for me to actually write as a character (its all that strategist mind practice I got from Sokka/Azula). I’m into the contrast of these two messing with each while also subtlety respecting each other in ways that they don’t really talk about much. Also shared ambition: Wangnan wanting to become King is not too dissimilar to Khun wanting to become the Family Head. I’d love to see some bonding on this subject because there’s a lot of potential there. 

The Heavenly Mirror is a khunwang symbol. It’s the rule. You can’t change it. 

3. Wangbam aka “Day & Night”

I first got interested in this idea when you think about these two kinda became a source of hope for each other: Wangnan brought happiness back into Bam’s life/reunited him with his friends, and its thanks to Bam choosing to help him that Wangnan was able to get off the 20th Floor (I wouldn’t be surprised if he’d been trapped there for...a long time. It must’ve been hell.) Also there’s a lot of delicious angst potential here: Heir v Slayer, the King’s history with Arlene and how that could weigh on them, the world and fate seemingly trying to set them against each other as enemies (and defying that anyway~ I would love that.)

4. Wangrek (big dreams...)

Okay, now this is my crackship. 

I have a couple reasons for finding this entertaining, but my primary reasoning is that I honestly think that Wangnan is the kind of person that Urek would genuinely respect (which is delightfully ironic given who he is). Urek has already proven that he is actually fond of underdogs with big dreams; everything that we know from his interactions with Joe proves that. So I think that with Wangnan’s near supernatural ability to charm powerful people into befriending him, his massive dream of becoming King and changing the Tower for the better for everyone would resonate here. 

(It’s also a really funny idea that Urek is one of the most powerful presences in the Tower and there are a lot of people who want him to kill the King, but he’s super neutral so it’s like: “nah I won’t kill him, I’ll bang the prince tho.”)

5. Wangtro (cringe...)

Tbh I don’t so much ship this as appreciate it for the memes. Ya’ll had fun with it and it’s funny so it’s got that going for it. But I don’t so much ship it seriously, because I don’t where to go with it (also I definitely interpreted Quaetro and Chang as a married couple, so I’m not messin’ with that. he’d end up as their weird pet).
