giants who use the huge reverberant spaces in their mouths to make astounding sounds: I'm thinking of the throat singing of the Mongolians and the Ainu in Japan.

Giants who sing out in open spaces like forests or hills, leading to human passersby to wonder where the distant voice is coming from.
Giants who become so enamored with their tiny's voice that they keep them captive and force them to sing on command like some kind of wind-up doll.

Comment: This singing style is super unique and I love it. The first time I heard it, it sounded very odd and unfamiliar but it was somehow super addicting and now I keep looking for new songs... I did some research on the singing style and apparently it’s called “khoomii”, or throat singing/overtone singing. Overtone singing involves producing two notes/pitches at the same time, and I have no clue how that works?? Anyway, I hope you will enjoy this type of music as much as I do.

I required a full week of putting my tongue in such a posture for up to 8h per day to partly master this, and the results were astounding. It freed up my root tongue tension, then after some tweaking while tension-free, the ring of my voice is starting to develop due to the head resonance finally being reached, felt like a buzzing of my cheekbones and forehead.
What makes it more the interesting is I accidentally achieved overtone khoomii while tweaking tongue placements. There’s Sainkho Namtchylak, a khoomii artist I’ve been admiring since I was eleven, who can also easily sing an operatic aria with excellent technique - this now doesn’t come as a surprise. Both required tension-free singing (Sainkho’s speaking voice is the epitome of tension free), and khoomii is far more hardcore on overtones.

Saya mau cerita nih semenjak ngikutin pengajian pekan kemarin yang diisi oleh Ust.Mintaraga Lc, MA. dari Purwokerto (critanya oengajiannya pas di Cilacap) saya berniat ingin merubah mindset, lidah set dan kalau bisa kawan kawan set sekalian tentang penyebutan hari Ahad. hehe Yaaa.. Usut punya usut, hari yang selama ini kebanyakan orang Indonesia katakan hari Minggu memiliki makna yang agaknya kurang baik jika umat islam memakainya karena umat islam telah memilik penyebutan sendiri serapan dari bahasa arab yaitu hari Ahad. Padahal nih temen temennya si hari Minggu semua sudah merupakan serapan dari bahas arah loh. Senin from Al-Itsnayn Selasa from Ats-Tsalatsa Rabu from Al-Arba'a / Ar-Rabii' Kamis from Al-Khoomiis Jum'at from Al-Jum'aah Sabtu from As-Sabt Jadi apa sebenarnya salah hari minggu? kenapa dia sampai salah pergaulan? Usut punya usut nih setelah mendengar dari Ust Mintaraga dan membaca dari artikel. Minggu itu berasal dari kata Minggos leboh tepatnya Do Minggos yang artinya Hari Tuhan. dan Minggos tidak terpisahkan dari nama hari dalam bahasa inggris yaitu Sunday (Hari Matahari). Jadi menurut seorang penulis Dan Brown asmanipun hhe. Beliau mengatakan disebut Sun Day karena pada hari itu para pemuja matahari melakukan ritual keagamaannya. Nah disinilah kenapa kita harus merubah mindset lidahset nulisset dan set set yang lain dari hari Minggu menjadi hari AHAD. Karena kalau pakai kata minghu itu menjurus kepada hari besar/isitmewa suatu kaum yaitu pemuja matahari. sudah sepantasnya kita sebagai umat islam menggunakan kata yang lebih memcerminkan cirikhas islam. dan kita pub juga memilikihari istimewa tersendiri yaitu hari Jum'at. Begitulah kawan kawan, tulisan ini hanyalah sebuah curahan hati seorang hamba yang senantiasa mengharap ridho-Nya. Jika dapat diterima mari kita laksanakan jika belum mohon maaf bila tidak berkenan.
