Day Seven of my 10-day #survivingvegandetoxchallenge. Day 6 DONE! Celebrating tomorrow with a #selfcare. As you can see more of the same is on the menu. Even the blended prune juice. Day FIVE! Done. Halfway through. Got to eat cooked food today. What a reward after the blended prune drink. (Even though the lentils had NO SALT AT ALL) but the herbs and spices added a tiny bit of something. I won’t call it flavor. But i was happy to eat it all up. So grateful for cooked food...makes me think about a lot of things that I take for granted. It’s the little things. Like flavorful seasonings. And although I’m already planning my next flavorful meals for after the is is done I am so happy that I am pushing through my cravings, emotions, fears, insecurities and doubts. Funny how when you remove food what your mind cooks up. Day four of the #survivingvegandetoxchallenge. Aside from the raw veggies and fruit, radical self care is on the menu. A good long hair wash and oil treatment (Deep sigh) restored me today and gave me comfort. Funny how i usually use food for that source of comfort. Reasons why I need comfort are being revealed as I sit mostly in silence. Lots of the reasons are based on unhealthy choices and relationships I made and found myself in. But I am grateful and glad I am who i am today because all of that got me here right where I am. Conscious and aware and loving. And how could I be mad or sad about that. I love my life and where I am. Day two of the detox challenge DONE! Still have cravings but I’m being gentle with myself and celebrating because I stuck with it. I didn’t break. Actually posting here is helping with accountability. Another good thing about this is I got the @hydromateusa and it helps me drink water. Didn’t realize how dehydrated I really was. All of this is a part of me paying more attention to my self and well-being. Depression can really take its toll in so many ways. One day at a time. Day one of the @iamsurvivingvegan 10-day detox challenge DONE. It was hard. All kinds thoughts and cravings reared their heads. I realized that my boredom and my anxiety is tied into food. Comfort food. I wanted potatoes and French fries sooooooooooo bad today. But I didn’t. I remembered my intentions, the reasons why I am challenging myself right now. The things I want to manifest aren’t just for me but I am a very important component. I have to put myself first. Then it dawned on me that for the longest time I wanted to be able to afford and have time to even do a detox like this and here I am. Everything is in place to help me manifest what I said I wanted so I have to show up. FULLY. The photos are highlights of the day. Ready fir DAY TWO.
