A little rant: saving Saturn, Uranus & Pluto's reputations
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
So this has been a while I wanted to make this post. I have seen plenty of people making posts and contents expressing that Saturn, Uranus and Pluto are always indicators of bad events happening in your life. And, I strongly disagree! I wanted to make this post to save their reputation and mostly break this false idea, and why it is important to not consider those planets as "bad" planets.

✰ Saturn ♄
Saturn is a planet named after Saturn, a God from the Roman Mythology and ancient Religion. It's the 6th planet from the Sun, and second largest planet in the Solar System. Saturn is considered a slow planet, with an orbital period taking almost 30 years. The name it was given is very important and describe also well the planet even in Astrology. God Saturn rules over wealth, agriculture, the father archetype, he was also the god of time, abundance, generation. Of course, this Planet rules over Capricorn and Aquarius (traditionally). It also rules over the 10H, House of Capricorn. Both Capricorn and 10H are placements characterized by the same keywords as God Saturn. Moreover, Saturn in astrology is a planet that indicates slow timing, and so obstacles & limitations. This is due to Saturn being a slow planet, and revealing that things indeed take times. In this case, Saturn represents the realization that waiting is a virtue. Saturn has the reputation of being a "bad" planet because of the limitations it creates due to its slow nature. Slowing down things, putting obstacles in our momentum. Saturn will so be seen as the planets that will tell us where limitations is created, where do we find obstacles, where do things get slower. It is indeed a way to see things. Everything existing has energy of ying and yang, positive and negative. Therefore, Saturn's bad side does exist. Yet, it is important to realize Saturn isn't there to just limit us and being the annoying father archetype. Saturn is here to put limits and make us appreciate things while they last. Saturn being a slow planet will make us appreciate the lasting things in our life. It will then also show us things that will stay long term. Serious matters, things that we hold on dearly. It is a planet that will show us things we are maturing about.
✰ Uranus ♅
Uranus is a planet named after Uranus, a God from the Greek Mythology. It's the 7th Planet from the Sun, and mostly made from Ice, with a very low temperature of around -224 °C/ -371 °F. Its Orbital period is about 84 years. The name of Uranus indeed comes from the God's name who happens to rule over the Sky, and Uranus as a planet rules over Aquarius in Astrology, an Air sign. Now, Uranus in Astrology is a planet that will represent change, sudden change, things happening suddenly we don't expect usually. It is often associated with unique and originality. Anything eccentric. The God of the sky & weather is known for mimicking and changing weather as he desires. When the planet was discovered, it was a major discovery as it was the proof that the solar system was wider than what astronomers thought at the time. Uranus was so breaking down and expending boundaries. Really beautiful considering that Aquarius (being ruled by Uranus now) is a sign known for breaking traditional boundaries. In this case, Uranus in astrology is a planet seen as a bad sign too. Why? Because of the change and transformation the planet brings. Uranus indeed brings unexpected and sudden change, and it can scare people. People are scared of change usually, but mostly when it is unexpected or petty sudden. Uranus is often associated with break ups or breaking contracts. The breaking part could be from "breaking boundaries" as it is what the planet represents. Yet, Uranus is also associated with unusual and eccentric things too, anything that is not "traditional". So this brings indeed a change to people to something truly unexpected, or things changing their routine. It's also the barrier breakers, so people fear this and think Uranus is a sign of "breaking" into their life. While, in fact, this doesn't necessarily means bad outcomes.
✰ Pluto ♇
Pluto is considered a "Dwarf Planet" but some astronomers continue to consider it as a Planet still. Pluto was discovered in 1930 by Clyde W. Tombaugh, an American Astronomer. This planet has always been kinda left out, as it is more small than expected, extremely slow and more far. Literally left out. In 2006, it was then redefined as a Dwarf Planet, because it was considered too small to just be a Planet. Pluto was named this way by the Greek God Pluto in Mythology. In fact, the name Pluto was perfectly chosen: Pluto being the god of the underworld (Hades) is known for being invisible to most people, as Pluto as a planet who was discovered very late compared to other planets. Pluto being the God of the underworld take then care of the souls and the dead. Pluto was then attached to the idea of death itself than a more allegorical form. People now attach Pluto as the planet who represents death, and so fear this planet. In my opinion, from what I have seen, Pluto is the planet that people fear the most in all. Indeed, Pluto does represent death, but not in the first sense. It represents ending (death) and beginnings (birth). What is ending to be reborn. Pluto as a new planet is attached to Scorpio now, and it all makes sense. The intensity of the sign complete well the Planet it got affiliated with. Since Pluto rules over Scorpio, which as a sign rules over the 8H, Pluto then also rules over the 8H, making it a planet focusing on wealth and possessions. The planet takes the Scorpio's qualities such as intensity, passion, desires, sensitivity, deepness, but also possessiveness and jealousy. Pluto will also represent all of those qualities too. Despite that Pluto mostly focus on the endings and new beginnings as a Planet, the wealth aspect mostly come the fact it is ruled by Scorpio and 8H, otherwise, the god Pluto itself doesn't represent that, and it is in fact the God Plutus who is the God of wealth. Both are usually mistaken to be the same person. Despite Pluto not being necessarily the literal "death" planet, a lot of people are still afraid of it representing endings. As human beings, we hate anything unpredictable, anything stopping us, but also hating endings. We associate those words with the word "bad". While, in fact, Pluto teaches us endings aren't necessarily bad or to be feared. It may be scary as we don't know what's next, but they teach us patience too, as with time, we realize that it may have been the best for us. Pluto being a slow planet will be then in astrology teaching us patience is a virtue, as Saturn (in Mythology, Saturn is Pluto's father), and that endings aren't just endings, an ending also means a new beginning. Seeing hope in what is ending.

✰ Examples
Examples will be focused on Solar Return Charts as it is easier to explain how those planets can be considered bad through different experiences each years.
‧₊˚✩彡 Saturn 7H in Solar Return is a sign of having obstacles in a relationship, limitations but also struggling being with your crush for example. Yet, Saturn 7H can also be a sign of having a long term relationship, appreciating your relationship. But also maturing about a relationship, or how you view relationships.
‧₊˚✩彡 Saturn 5H SRC is a similar sign, but it could also indicate having obstacles in fun times perhaps due to activities that requires you to be more mature. But it means so being more serious about your life and making more responsible choices.
‧₊˚✩彡 Saturn 10H SRC can be indeed a sign of struggles, obstacles and limitations in our career, perhaps finding it hard to upgrade or just also struggling with our reputation. But this could also mean being more responsible and serious about our career and work. We can also appear as more serious and people can take us more seriously this year. It can also means finding long term contracts this year.
‧₊˚✩彡 Saturn 2H SRC could be a sign of struggles in the financial supports but it can also be a sign of being more serious when it comes to this matter.
Of course, to define which of those two significances is stronger, we need to see the rulers of the houses where Saturn falls, Ruler of Saturn this year and where it is, but also the aspects of Saturn.
‧₊˚✩彡 Saturn 10H SRC, with Aquarius MC (ruled by Saturn traditionally), makes the 10H Ruler in the 10H itself. This is a good indicators of long term career, finding long term contracts and being serious in our career. Yet, Aquarius MC also makes Uranus the Ruler. If Uranus is in the 10H or 6H too, it is a good factor. Yet if it is in the 12H for example, those long term contracts will eventually end this year too. It could also mean we eventually want to end our contracts.
‧₊˚✩彡 Saturn 7H SRC in Pisces will be ruled by Jupiter (Traditionally) and Neptune. Jupiter being in the 9H makes us having lessons related to our struggles and limitations in our relationships. Neptune 8H will make us less likely to be with someone. Perhaps preferring to be on your own, or just thinking often of this one person yet without anything happening with them.
‧₊˚✩彡 Saturn 2H Aries will makes the Ruler being Mars, and Mars being in the 8H will make us perhaps have more money, and maturing when it comes to money on the long term. Saturn conjunct Neptune 2H will also make us maturing about certain ideas we had about money.
‧₊˚✩彡 Uranus 7H & 5H is often seen as a break up sign in the SRC. Because people think Uranus is a sudden change, unexpected. Yet this is not true. If Uranus aspects well Venus & Jupiter, or the Rulers of 7H/ 5H, then it doesn't necessarily means a break up. This can indicate a happy sudden change, or something happening suddenly but in the good side.
‧₊˚✩彡 Uranus 3H SRC will so usually indicates that you might get someone to talk to you suddenly. The year it happened to me, I had a friend from the past who suddenly came back to talk to me.
‧₊˚✩彡 With Uranus 3H but the 3H Ruler being in the 7H made sense also in this SRC, it was the year I met my FS, and he came to talk to me online, he was coming to talk at the most random moments, and we met online. I didn't expect him to talk to me tbh.
‧₊˚✩彡 Uranus 12H means some sudden endings happening. I have seen this placement for some people who lost a dear person in their life. This usually happened quite suddenly.
‧₊˚✩彡 Uranus 10H usually indicates a big change in the career, a career you do online, but it can also indicate a sudden career opportunity, more if Jupiter conjunct Uranus.
‧₊˚✩彡 Coming back to Uranus 12H, the year I had it, I had a whole new life. It was scary because nothing was the same, and I was living abroad. But it was truly new, a truly big change.
‧₊˚✩彡 Uranus 12H is also a sign of a big change and sudden realization when it comes to spirituality. It's also discovering secrets, discovering things that were hidden. It's also having a sudden awakening.
‧₊˚✩彡 Pluto 9H could mean an ending and new beginning abroad, it can also mean being truly transformed by a travel, but also the end of a trip perhaps. It also indicates a deep transformation spiritually (if you are into that).
‧₊˚✩彡 Pluto 6H is a sign of deep transformation in health matters. A health problem you had could come to an end, or you could either take weight suddenly or lose weight suddenly. Or both! You could change your routine totally, you may not have the same type of routine as before.
‧₊˚✩彡 Pluto 3H could mean stop talking to some people that are no good for you, cutting contact. It could also mean a conversation that will change you deeply this year.
‧₊˚✩彡 Pluto 1H means a total change in your appearance. It means you could even see you in a different way. Usually it's a drastic change when it comes to how you look and how you see yourself.
‧₊˚✩彡 Pluto 12H means a drastic change with something that can end. Some people had it and lost someone dearly indeed. But it can also mean just having a very drastic ending in your life.
‧₊˚✩彡 Pluto 7H is a sign of a very big change happening in your love life, contracts, etc. Usually the big change comes with a renewal of that life.
‧₊˚✩彡 Pluto 4H means a big change in your family life or relationships with family members. If you have it with Jupiter then it's pretty good sign! It's a good and big change happening!

subliminal crash course
hello everyone! i know that i've been gone for a hot minute, but i'm back! hope y'all didn't miss me too much! today i'm going to be talking about subliminals: what they are, different types, effective ways to use them, how to make subliminal playlists and even some sub creators and subliminals that i use and trust! hope this helps!
Tumblr media
what are subliminals?
the cambridge dictionary defines subliminals as not recognized or understood by the conscious mind, but still having an influence on it.
not recognised? conscious mind? vivienne, what do these mean? do not fret! all will be revealed...
if you're a little slow, subliminals are essentially like secret messages sneaked into your brain even though you're not aware of them. think of them as the brain's version of a surprise party—you don't see them coming, but they still make an impact
i define them as messages or stimuli presented below the level of conscious awareness, designed to influence feelings, appearances, or behaviors, which are often used in self-help contexts.
what are some subliminal keywords and their meanings?
trigger words: specific words intended to prompt immediate emotions or states of mind. for example, "peace," "success," or "joy.
masking: the technique of hiding subliminal messages behind music or ambient sounds.
binaural beats: a form of auditory stimulation used in subliminals to enhance relaxation or focus.
sub creator: someone who creates and shares subliminal audio or visual content.
layering: combining multiple subliminal tracks or types of subliminals to enhance effectiveness.
custom subliminals: personalized subliminal tracks created to meet specific needs or goals.
boosters: additional affirmations or messages added to enhance the effects of a main subliminal track.
conscious mind: contains all the thoughts, feelings, cognitions, and memories we acknowledge.
unconscious mind: consists of deeper mental processes not readily available to the conscious mind.
what are the different types of subliminals?
visual subliminals involve quick flashes of images or text based on a theme, topic or desire that are not consciously perceived but are processed by the subconscious.
affirmations are positive statements repeated in a way that they are meant to influence one's subconscious mind.
auditory subliminals include affirmations or messages, but these are played at a low volume, masked by music, rain sounds, or even brown noise! (i'll make a post about what that is and different coloured noise at a later date) the idea is that the messages bypass conscious processing and are absorbed by the subconscious.
forced subliminal refer to subliminal messages that are presented in a way that the subconscious mind is exposed to them more insistently or repetitively than typical subliminals. the idea is that this increased exposure or intensity can make the subliminal more effective.
how can i use them effectively?
consistency: listen to or view subliminals regularly to reinforce the messages.
focus: for me, subliminals work best when i am in a relaxed state, like while meditating or before sleep.
integration: pair subliminals with active efforts toward your goals. for example, if you’re working on improving confidence, use subliminals along with practical steps like public speaking practice.
define clear goals: identify specific outcomes you want to achieve (e.g., increased confidence, better sleep, improved focus).
choose quality subliminals: select well-reviewed and credible subliminal tracks or creators. ensure they use positive, constructive affirmations and are designed professionally. i usually check the comments to see people's experiences when using the subliminal, or i will check the sub creator's instagram, as many of them post results on there.
create a routine: integrate subliminals into your daily routine, such as listening before bed, during meditation, or while relaxing. consistent timing can enhance effectiveness.
monitor your progress: keep track of any changes or improvements in your thoughts, appearance, or behaviors. this can help you gauge effectiveness and adjust your approach if needed. although, you shouldn't be obsessing over results, as this can hinder the process. obsessing over the results means that you don't really believe in the power of you and your mind.
maintain a positive mindset: stay open and positive about the process. a positive attitude can enhance the effectiveness of subliminals. but, contrary to popular belief, you can still be sad or skeptical about a subliminal and still see results, however, it does help to have a good self concept.
how can i make a subliminal playlist?
what i personally do is start with four boosters (each from different sub creators), then i'll just add all the subliminals that i want from a specific creator, add the four boosters again, and repeat with another sub creator. the amount of subliminals i add for a specific creator is unlimited. i just add subliminals that's given me results, ones i wanna try out, etc. this may not be for everyone, so here's some tips for a more organised sub playlist:
identify key topics: determine the main areas you want to focus on, such as confidence, relaxation, productivity, or health.
create subcategories: within each main topic, create subcategories if needed. for example, under "confidence," you might have subcategories like "social confidence" and "professional confidence."
arrange by priority: arrange the topics in order of priority or relevance to your current goals. place the most important ones at the top of the playlist.
set time frames: consider the duration of each track and the overall length of the playlist. ensure it’s manageable and fits into your daily routine.
track variation: mix different types of subliminal messages if you have a variety, such as affirmations or binaural beats.
update regularly: periodically review and update your playlist based on your progress and changing goals.
test and adjust: listen to your playlist regularly and adjust based on how well it resonates with you and supports your goals.
aaand were done! i hope this has been informative and helpful to you, and if you have any success stories with subliminals, send them to me! i'm making a post about subliminal creators i recommend, so make sure you look out for that! love you all!
good luck ♡

New Project! DIY/Collaged Tarot Deck
Tumblr media
Over the past few weeks, I have been pulling together a group of local witches in my area to form a very casual coven! We all ended up revealing that we are very crafty, so naturally, one of the first projects we wanted to take on as a group was to make our own tarot decks! Right now we are scheduled to make around 8 cards a month, which means we should be finishing the project by the end of the year!
Materials used:
Double-sided tape
Playing card (for the base)
Matte mod podge (for the top coat)
Magazine clippings
To start off with, obviously, we have The Fool. In researching for this card, the main keywords that stood out to me was "new beginnings" and the start of a "journey". When paging through my magazines, one of the first photographs I came across was this beautiful, snowy mountain range with skiers dotting along the bottom of a slope. This image seemed perfect to me and really conveys the image of a new journey and optimism.
Next, I reviewed the Rider-Waite deck for more inspiration - I saw lots of yellows, and of course, the iconic sun. I decided to add a sun shining in the corner of this card as an ode to the original Rider-Waite deck; also representing bright optimism as the Fool begins his journey.
If you want to follow along this crafting journey with me to learn more about tarot (and probably a LOT about collaging/DIY), be sure to subscribe to my Patreon for only $2/month! I'll probably be posting updates on Patreon weekly, and updates on Tumblr around once every other month.
Please let me know if y'all give this a try! I find that this is a great way for me to connect with tarot and learn more about the cards. I've always struggled with memorizing them/reading cards without a guide, so I'm hoping that this project will help!

The Bad Batch Appreciation Week 2024 is HERE!!!
The time for appreciating Clone Force 99 has arrived! Y'know, like the cavalry 😅 Don't mind my bad pun!
What I was saying? Oh, yeah! The prompts have been revealed HERE, so we must refresh the rules. They're the same as last year, but it doesn't hurt to review them again, right? So:
Event Info & Rules
TBB APPRECIATION WEEK is a week-long, prompt-based creation challenge to celebrate our love for the Batchers and the show. There are 7 groups of prompts—one for each day of the week—, which can be used, skipped, or combined in any way you’d like. They are meant to be an inspiration without being taken literally (i.e., you don’t have to include the exact wording of prompts in your work). Feel free to interpret them at your convenience. For example, if the prompt is “anooba”, you can create either something about the animal, use it as a name/mascot of a sports team in your modern-day AU, or as an analogy for someone with a voracious appetite. It’s up to you.
Each group contains a Theme (which is in and on itself a prompt), an AU/Trope, Dialogue, an extra character, NSFW, and a color palette). You can use them in combination or just pick one. The idea is to give everyone as much creative freedom as possible. The participants can create works in any media they choose, including but not limited to: writing, art, edits, gifs, videos, playlists, cosplays, etc. The only restriction is that it needs to be focused on The Bad Batch (can be on a particular Batcher alone).
Also, people can participate as little or as much as they want, meaning that they don’t have to do ALL the days if they can't/don’t want to.
Collaborations are welcome and even encouraged. For example, if an artist and a writer want to work together, or a writer and a podficcer, or two writers, go for it!
When uploading TBB Appreciation Week content to your Tumblr blog, be sure to mention this blog and add the following hashtags:
#tbbaw2024
#the theme of the day and/or #prompt(s) used
#medium (gifset, fic, podcast, fanart, etc.)
#trigger warnings, if applies. (Please do NOT to add “tw” in front or at the end but only use the word/trigger itself, because the way Tumblr tag blocker feature works, it makes it harder for people to block the right tag.) (List of trigger warnings)
#nsfw (only for NSFW content)
#any other relevant tags go here
PLEASE BE DILIGENT WITH YOUR TAGGING (both by mentioning the blog and putting the necessary tags). That'll ensure that your post will be reblogged on this blog.
I'll do my best to reblogged everyone's posts, but if it passes 2–3 days and I haven't posted yours, please let me know.
If you are posting NSFW fics or art on Tumblr, I ask that you use the Keep Reading break to hide the NSFW portion of your work; and please, give the proper warnings. On Ao3, please, use the correct rating and warnings as well.
If you want, you can also add your work to the Ao3 Collection (closed at the moment, but I'll open it in due time). (Use the tags TBB Appreciation Week 2024 and/or TBBAW 2024 when posting.)
There won't be censorship in this event, so everyone is free to create whatever they want. Participants are expected to hold judgment to themselves of others and their works, even if they don't agree with or find it repulsive. That means that harassment of anyone or anything that they post (even if said work is something you personally find morally reprehensible) WILL NOT BE TOLERATED. Anyone that breaks this rule will be banned from the event. Curate your own experience by blocking what upsets/squicks/triggers you, and leave everyone else alone. That's the importance of the correct tagging, as it says above.
Important!! Show support to other participants by liking, reblogging, AND commenting. If an author or artist has asked for constructive criticism (not the same as a comment, and with constructive being the keyword) you may give it. However, refrain to give any of the unsolicited kind, as it can be discouraging for the author or artist.
But most of all, HAVE FUN!!! This is meant to be a lay-back event to show love for our favorite characters.
I'm looking forward to seeing what you all come up with!
If you have questions, you can check out the F.A.Q post. But if you don't find there the answer you're looking for, send me a message to the ask box or a DM, either in this blog or my fandom blog @nimata-beroya.
Thanks for reading, and happy creating!
Mare 💜

💌Red Letters to Nowhere💌
A/N: This is the first chapter of my Stepbrother! Billy Hargrove x Mayfield! Reader fic! There will be many, MANY more flashbacks and encounters with other characters (Steve Harrington x Reader, Nancy Wheeler x Reader, and Eddie Munson x Reader to name a few) and some other relationship mentions throughout (like Harringrove and Hellcheer!). I hope you enjoy reading as much as I have writing. 💕
Read on Ao3 ❤️‍🔥 Chapter 2 📖 Master List 🌈
💌CHAPTER ONE: Move-In Day💌
Hawkins, Indiana. You’d never heard of it. To make matters more nerve wracking, you, your mom, and your little sister, Max, were moving to the middle of nowhere to shack up with her new husband and his son. You had met Neil Hargrove a few times when he came to visit from California, and he seemed nice enough. That’s the keyword – seemed. There was something intense about him that made you uneasy, and Max agreed that even though your mom seemed to be head over heels for the mustached, steam pressed, ordinary tryhard of a man, the two of you would keep a calculated distance from him pending further review.
The car ride was excruciatingly long, and you and Max each had your own walkman to keep you company, trading tapes every so often and sharing whatever snacks you could snag at the last gas station you happened upon. Your mom didn’t seem to realize the two of you were immersed in your high-volume music as you watched her lips move, undoubtedly chattering away about all of the fun features of the new town you were doomed to spend the impending school year in. Max rolled her eyes and shifted in her seat, her gaze drifting out the window and eventually coming to a close for yet another nap after receiving the report from your mom of “Only two more hours until we’re there!”
Deciding the only thing more painful than dreading the uncertainty of where you were headed was actually hearing confirmations of the bleak outlook to be endured, you decided to follow Max’s lead, eyes closing, letting the sounds of Alice Cooper lull you into the last nap you would take on your way to your new home in Hawkins.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“And these are your new sisters,” Neil explained with no trace of enthusiasm to his son in the driveway of your new home. “Billy, don’t be rude. Shake hands,” he instructed sternly.
Billy held out his right hand for you to take, his jaw clenched, expression unchanging as he let out a flat, “Welcome home.” His handshake was firm, and he didn’t make eye contact with you or Max as he stood before you.
“Thanks,” you replied, testing a small smile. Again, his expression didn’t soften.
“Why don’t you go help Susan with some of the boxes,” Neil muttered to Billy, the stern coldness in his eyes revealing that this was more of a command than a suggestion.
“Yes, sir,” Billy responded, already stepping down the driveway toward your mom’s car.
Once Billy was out of earshot, Neil turned to you and your sister and put on his best impression of a smile. “I hope the drive wasn’t too long for you girls,” he offered.
“It was okay,” you answered him, attempting to mirror the almost smile. The three of you basked in the awkwardness before Max piped up with a question.
“Will we be sharing a room?” She already knew the answer because your mom wouldn’t shut up about how excited the two of you should be to get your own bedrooms for the first time in your lives.
“Not at all,” Neil answered almost cheerfully. “Why don’t I show you two around, and you can get settled while we bring in your things?” Neil held out an arm, gesturing toward the front door of your new home, and you and Max trudged forward with your backpacks and snacks in tow.
The house wasn’t large, but it was more than you were used to, coming from the two bedroom, one bathroom townhome you had shared with your mother and sister for the last six years. Four bedrooms, – one for you, Max, Billy, and your mom and Neil – two bathrooms, a fireplace, and a separate kitchen, living room, and dining area. You even had your own yard complete with a tire swing, and you knew that would be a big bonus for Max.
“I hope you won’t mind sharing a bathroom with Billy,” Neil sighed almost apologetically. “He keeps things clean, so you won’t have to worry about that. But if you have any trouble at all with him, you just let me know.” Neil’s eyes were icy and cold as he spoke, his teeth gritting together at the end of his sentence. You were a bit taken aback at how he talked about his own son.
“What…kind of trouble?” His expression softened immediately, and he tried again at his smile.
“Well, you know, boys will be boys. He’s a good kid, but sometimes his attitude needs some…adjusting,” he explained.  “I’ll be outside helping your mother. If you need anything, don’t be shy.” Neil rapped a couple of times on the doorframe and exited your new room. You felt all tension dissipate the moment he was gone, and you took the time to glance around your new space. You had enough room for all of your posters. A queen size bed rested in one corner with shelves above it, a full size closet at the end of the bed, and a window with a desk underneath it on the wall opposite the sleeping corner - perfect for studying after school. You could get used to this.
You were pulled from your thoughts with the muffled clatter of a box being set on the wooden floor beside your bed. Turning around, your eyes met his for the first time. You couldn’t help but notice he looked almost…scared?
“Sorry. I’ll be more careful with the next one.” Billy’s hands turned to fists at his sides, thumbs fidgeting over his knuckles, his jaw clenching at the close of his words. His appearance was unlike any guy you’d ever seen in person before.
He looked like something out of the cover art of one of your mom’s romance novels she always had tucked away in a spot she thought you and your sister wouldn’t think to look. His blonde, shoulder length curls were carefully coiffed into one of those trendy mullet styles, plush pink lips outlined a perfectly white smile, his skin still golden from the California sun, and his eyes sparkled cerulean like the surface of the ocean with a depth you couldn’t quite reach. You could tell he was stacked and muscular through his clothes, and his jawline was sharp enough to cut glass. Still, there was something about him that seemed on edge.
“Don’t worry about it,” you reassured. “I don’t think there’s anything breakable in there.” He nodded in acknowledgement and turned to exit your room. “So,” you called after him, “what’s the high school like?” You just wanted him to know you were approachable and that you had no intention of making his life Hell, especially since you were all forced to exist in the same house from now on.
“Probably worse than you’re imagining,” Billy scoffed, turning slightly back towards you. When he noticed your nerves amping up at his comment, he sighed. “It’s not that bad. Small, easy to find your way around, and everyone is…nice enough, I guess.”
“Oh, that’s good. I’ve never gone to a new school before, so I’m probably just overthinking it,” you admitted, finally slipping your backpack off and letting it plop down on the bed. Billy turned to fully face you again, his hands in his pockets, a smirk playing on his lips.
“Don’t worry about it. It’ll be fine. Plus, you’ll know at least one person. And if anyone tries to give you shit, tell them they can answer to me.” You weren’t sure what that meant, but it did make you feel a bit more confident about your upcoming first day at Hawkins High.
“Uh, okay. Well, thanks for that.” You breathed out a small laugh, and Billy’s smirk bloomed into a smile.
“Don’t mention it,” he drawled before giving you a wink and disappearing back into the hallway to fetch another load of boxes. You didn’t have time to process the fact that you’re pretty sure your new step brother just winked at you before Max poked her head around the corner of your doorframe.
“Hey,” she whispered, catching your attention. “What did he want?” She looked back toward the hallway where Billy had just retreated, and you motioned for her to come in.
“He was just bringing some stuff in, so I asked him about the school.” Max was invested now, also having expressed her worry of starting in a new class already a month into the school year.
“What did he say?”
“Mixed review, really,” you answered, both of your expressions changing to that of confusion.
“Okay…well, do you know what to expect at all?”
“Not really. But he did say if anyone messed with me to tell them they could answer to him.” Max’s eyes widened.
“What’s that supposed to mean?” She sat down on your bed, shuffling the toes of her shoes on the floor below.
“No idea,” you answered, meeting her gaze.
“Great.” Max sighed and stood up once more. “I guess I’ll start unpacking my new room.” She fluttered her eyelashes, hands waving in mock excitement. You laughed, knowing she was doing her best sarcastic impression of your mom gushing about your new home. You both rolled your eyes before she giggled and made her way back down the hallway to her own space.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Your first dinner was awkward, to say the least. Neil had ordered a pizza for everyone since your bandwagon arrived close to mid afternoon, and your mom didn’t have time to cook a full meal even though she insisted she didn’t mind. You rushed to the door to help Billy bring in the boxes from the delivery boy who he happened to know from school.
“Troy, this is my …” he hesitated, breaking eye contact with the boy on the doorstep and looking down at the ground with a sigh, “new sister, Y/N.” You smiled tentatively, and offered a half wave, taking a couple of boxes off the top of the stack from Troy.
“Troy Holstad. Nice to meet you,” he obliged before giving Billy a perplexed look. Billy nodded once curtly and took the remainder of the boxes from Troy before waving him off with a “see you at school,” and closing the door. He nudged your arm to get your attention and spoke softly.
“There you go. Now you know two people,” he reasoned, beaming at you before shuffling back toward the dining room and adjusting his expression back to that of a sullen teenager. Billy carefully set the boxes down in the middle of the dining table, and you did the same. Everyone thumbed through the different boxtops to find the flavors they wanted, your mom and Neil opting for supreme while Max grabbed two slices of pepperoni, and you and Billy each took a slice of Hawaiian.
“So, Y/N, your mother tells me this is the start of your senior year,” Neil declared, his voice resonating in the silence of the dining room.
“Yeah, it is,” you replied around a mouthful of melted cheese and pineapple topping. You felt uneasy in your stomach when Neil glared daggers at you, looking up from his plate where he was using a knife and fork to cut his pizza. He sighed audibly as his nostrils flared and started again.
“Y/N, I know this is new for you, and we haven’t had much of a chance to talk about rules and expectations. In my house, we operate on a system that upholds the home and the image of the people in it appropriately. What is that system, Billy?” Billy sat up straighter in his chair, not looking up from his plate as his father addressed him..
“Respect and responsibility,” he recited, his voice almost shaking as his jaw tightened once more.
“That’s right,” Neil agreed. “Now that you’re a part of our family, you’ll learn to respect your elders and develop a keen sense of responsibility, just like the good, caring, all-American kids I know you can be.” Neil’s hard smile appeared below his mustache as he continued. “First of all, we address our elders with courtesy. When I ask you a question, you respond accordingly. Isn’t that right, Billy?”
“Yes, sir,” he muttered, his eyes still glued to his plate.
“I’m sorry,” Neil hissed. “I couldn’t hear you.” He leaned closer to the table, eyes searing into Billy as he awaited his response. Billy straightened up even more, his eyes snapping up to meet his father’s.
“Yes, sir,” his voice ricocheted in the dining room this time, his face flushing as everyone soaked in the awkward silence. You caught Max’s eye and noticed she looked afraid and perplexed as your mother kept her gaze on Neil, trying to seem like she was listening intently to him.
“See, girls, Billy knows the drill. If you have any questions, I’m sure he can straighten them out for you. I know you’re not used to this whole thing, having a man of the house, but you’ll adjust.” Neil gestured to the pizza on the table, his smile still active as he announced, “Let’s eat!” Max looked up at you from the corner of her eye, and you shook your head slightly, signaling for her not to say anything as you took another bite of your pizza. You side eyed Billy whose gaze seemed far away as he quickly finished his dinner.
“May I be excused,” Billy asked with perfect posture, taking the napkin from his lap and piling his used utensils on his plate.
“Yes you may.” Neil waved Billy off as he stood up, pushed in his chair, and took his plate to the kitchen to be washed.
You felt anxious as you saw Neil eyeing Max while she ate, and you held your breath as he spoke again.
“Tomorrow, we’ll practice using a fork, young lady,” he said sternly as Max’s cheeks burned, embarrassed to be holding her pizza at that exact moment. Neil paused and tilted an ear in her direction, hinting that he was expecting a reply.
“Y – yes, sir,” she choked out quickly, setting her pizza back down on her plate. Your mother cleared her throat and started asking Neil more about the school, the town, and how his new job was going. You let the two of them chat away as you gave Max a worried look, seeing her pick up her knife and fork to cut out a bite of her pizza. You stood up and grabbed your plate and jumped, the sound of a fist pounding on the dining table startling you off your feet. Your mom and Max gasped simultaneously as you met Neil’s eyes.
“Where do you think you’re going, Y/N?” You caught your breath and stuttered in response.
“I – I’m sorry. May I be excused?” You looked at your mom in panic, but she averted her eyes, looking at anything but the situation before her.
“That’s better.” Neil smiled again. “Of course. Don’t forget to clean your plate.”
“Thank you…sir.” You glanced at Max once more, hoping she would follow suit so she wouldn’t be yelled at. You hurried to the kitchen, rinsing your plate in the sink and setting it out on the dish rack to dry. You steadied your breathing as the tension melted away now that you weren’t in a close proximity to Neil.
After the awkward and almost frightening dinner, all you wanted to do was talk to your sister. You knew she would be looking for an escape after enduring Neil’s intensity, so you put on your coat and grabbed your paperback copy of The Outsiders, leaving the house through the front door.
You shuffled through the dried leaves across the lawn to the only tree in the yard and perched yourself on the tire swing, propping your feet up and opening your book to your marked page. A few lines in, you heard a clanging sound followed by a sigh, and your eyes followed the noise over to a blue Camaro with the hood up. Billy was standing over the engine, using the back of his hand to swipe stray curls out of his eyes, a dirty rag draped over his shoulder.
He didn’t seem to notice you were there as he worked, tinkering with a wrench, grunting and sighing every so often. You pretended to carry on reading while you watched him work. After all, looking wasn’t a crime, and he was quite the sight to see. After a few more minutes, he set his wrench on the edge of the Camaro’s hood and grasped the hem of his sweat-speckled t-shirt with both hands, lifting it up and over his head, tossing it on the roof of his car. Your cheeks turned scarlet at the sight of his toned chest and chiseled abs sparkling with a sheen of sweat in the crisp October air.
Your gaze snapped to your book quickly, and you glued your eyes to the words on the page, determined not to look up again. Your heart hammered in your chest, and you swore you could hear the blood flowing in your ears when a voice startled you.
“Hey, are you okay?” You jolted upright at Max’s question.
“Jesus, you scared the shit out of me,” you breathed.
“Sorry. Are you okay?” She repeated her question, concern behind her bright blue eyes. “You look really flushed.”
“Yeah. Yeah, I’m fine,” you answered, forcing yourself to keep your eyes far away from where Billy was working on his car. “What about you?” Max used the ropes of the swing to lift herself up, and you moved aside to make room for her on the tire.
“I’m fine. What the hell is up with him?” Max looked almost afraid while the two of you recounted Neil’s strange behavior at dinner, coming to the conclusion that this move might not have been for the best like your mom kept insisting.
“All we can do is follow the rules and stay out of his way, I guess,” you sigh, feeling defeated. “I don’t know how far he’ll go, but Billy seems to be pretty scared of him,” you almost whisper, leaning in closer to Max. She glanced over at Billy who was still fixated on his car.
“A guy that big scared of his dad? I don’t even want to think about why,” she shuddered, her eyes dropping to the ground.
“Hey.” You touched her shoulder, and she looked up at you. “I won’t let anything happen to you. Got it?” She gave you a small smile, nodding her understanding, but you could see the anxiety behind her eyes. “We’re going to be okay.”
“I know,” she assured you. You smiled at her and grabbed the ropes of the swing to climb out of the tire. Tossing your book onto a pile of leaves next to the tree, you stood behind Max and gripped the ropes as you walked the tire backwards before giving it a hard push. Max giggled as she swung back and forth, spinning slow circles and crying out, “You’re going to make me dizzy!”
The two of you laughed together as the sun started to set on the town of Hawkins, Indiana, and even though you weren’t sure what the coming days would hold, you knew you had each other to ease the burdensome future in your new home with your new family.

The library was bathed in the soft glow of reading lamps, and the soft hum of fluorescent lights revealed the rows of dusty books, creating an ambiance of solitude that lent itself to focus — a sanctuary of silence in the heart of Gran Vincere Academy. Daniel sat alone at a corner table, engrossed in his studies, oblivious to the world around him. The weight of academic responsibilities bore down on his shoulders, leaving little room for idle thoughts. His camera, a trusty companion, sat perched on the table before him, its lens staring back at him with anticipation. It lay stealthily hidden beneath a pile of books, its lens pointed towards an inconspicuous spot. He had been studying diligently, but curiosity had a way of taking control.
Weeks had passed since Mick had confessed his feelings to you, and things seemed to be progressing slowly but steadily between the two of you. You found yourself spending more time together, getting to know each other on a deeper level. The atmosphere within their friend group had subtly shifted. Uncertainty and tension simmered beneath the surface permeated the air at Gran Vincere Academy, but a different kind of tension was brewing beneath the surface.
Little did Daniel know that the shift in dynamics would soon become more pronounced.
His finger rested lightly on the shutter button, capturing an image that would soon become a secret he'd carry. He was working on a project that required him to capture candid moments, raw emotions frozen in time. Little did he know that a candid moment was about to find him.
As he adjusted his camera's settings, he discreetly aimed it towards a secluded corner of the library. The click of the shutter clicked, and a sound followed, familiar as an old friend's laughter, echoed through the library. They seemed to be sharing secrets, their faces close, their voices hushed.
In that moment, Daniel captured more than he had bargained for.
Upon returning to his dorm room, he transferred the images to his computer, eager to review his progress. His excitement dimmed when he came across a photo that stood out amidst the portraits and landscapes. Mick and a girl, their heads bent together, sharing a secret conversation in a secluded corner of the library. He felt a mixture of shock and uncertainty. Should he share this secret with Y/N, his close friend? But then, he remembered the guilt that churned inside him for having unintentionally invaded Mick's privacy.
His heart raced as he examined the image. It was a moment of vulnerability, concealed from the world, captured by pure accident. He couldn't help but wonder who the girl was and if sharing this information with you would be wise.
The knowledge weighed heavy on his shoulders, but he hesitated, fearing the consequences of unveiling this hidden truth.
He was left walking on a tightrope till then.
⊰⊹⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋄⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⊹⊱
Days passed...
And Daniel wrestled with his conscience. He couldn't shake the feeling that he needed to do something about that photo, but the weight of his discovery kept him silent. Then, a twist of fate intervened.
The professor assigned a portrait project, demanding that each student capture the essence of their chosen subject. Daniel's mind whirred with possibilities, but there was only one person he could envision as his muse.
Y/N. You were his muse that he wanted to capture the beauty from his lenses.
Nervousness swirled within him as he approached you with the proposition. He knew it wasn't just the assignment that drew him to you. It was an amalgamation of guilt, curiosity, and the unspoken feelings that had been slowly bubbling to the surface.
The day of the photoshoot arrived, and Daniel was a bundle of nerves. He wanted to capture Y/N's true essence, her spirit, and her beauty, but the guilt still gnawed at him. As he adjusted his camera and prepared for the shoot, he couldn't help but wonder if the beads of sweat on his forehead were from his nervousness or if they were a manifestation of the feelings he had for you.
"Daniel would you like me to smile?" You ask him softly, your gaze fixated on his form.
"Uhm- whatever you feel like best for your comfort? Anything that makes you feel relaxed." He muttered as his hands were shaking lightly, his breathing a little too shallow as if he had been chasing his own breath. He couldn't discern whether it was the guilt for keeping a secret or the burgeoning emotions he had for Y/N that caused this uncharacteristic nervousness.
He was about to unveil a side of himself he had kept hidden, just as he had kept that photo hidden.
With every click of the shutter, he tried to convey his admiration and remorse through the lens. The camera captured your essence, your strength, your vulnerability, and the depth of your eyes that had always drawn him in. It was a silent confession, a way of saying what he couldn't put into words.
"Thank you, Y/n. I should probably take you out for a treat tomorrow night, the newly opened cafe outside the university seems promising. Would you like to join me if you're free?" He offered humbly and his brown eyes were sparkling as he stared at you.
Daniel made you feel comfortable, at ease.
To be with him feels like the fresh morning breeze with the sun bathing your skin.
It feels refreshing, warm and cozy.
"Y/n?"
You were brought back to reality as Daniel snapped you out of your trance. Tomorrow is Friday and you are certainly free, there's nothing wrong with hanging out with your closest friend. Mick said he's busy the whole weekend with his studies and you totally understand.
You really do.
Without the knowledge of Daniel's discovery.
"Yes? I'm sorry, I was phasing out a bit." You apologized causing for his features to shift to a concern.
"Are you okay, Y/n?" He asks and you nodded with a smile.
How he loved that smile.
So his features softened once again and smiles in return. "Good to know but are you free tomorrow? My treat." He repeated.
You didn't need to think twice though you would often refuse for him to treat you out.
A refresh wouldn't hurt, right?
As the photoshoot concluded, Daniel couldn't help but feel a weight lifted from his shoulders. He had kept one secret but revealed another through his photographs. The story of this tight-knit group of friends was taking unexpected turns, and the unspoken emotions hung in the air, waiting to be acknowledged.
⊰⊹⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋄⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⊹⊱
Friday night arrived.
And the anticipation weighed heavily on Daniel's mind as he sat at a corner table in the newly opened café near the university. The soft, warm glow of pendant lights illuminated the cozy space, casting a comforting ambiance around.
As he fidgeted with the handle of his coffee cup, he watched the entrance, waiting for the sight of you. The café buzzed with the murmur of conversations and the clinking of cups, but in that moment, the world seemed to narrow down to just him and the image that he took that made him toss and turn in the comfort of his bed every night.
Finally, you arrived, a smile on your face that could melt even the iciest of hearts. Your presence lit up the room, and Daniel's nerves seemed to fade, if only for a moment.
"Hey, Daniel," Y/N greeted, taking a seat across from him.
Over cups of steaming coffee and the occasional bite of a pastry, the conversation flowed naturally. It felt good to be with Daniel, to share stories and laughter in a setting that was both intimate and soothing.
But as the night wore on, you noticed a certain unease in Daniel's demeanor. His eyes, once warm and inviting, held a shadow of hesitation. You couldn't help but wonder what was bothering him.
His camera was drawn and he had shown you pictures he had taken days prior. You can't help but smile at every picture he had taken from landscapes to your portraits.
He, of course, made sure you will not delete the portraits he had taken of you. Chuckling in the process as you taunted him.
Then your smile dropped...
Mick was in the frame with a blonde girl, their face close to each other.
Smiles on their lips and eyes glinting as they stared at each other, lost in each other's presence.
Your heart sank as the weight of the picture of Mick and the girl settled in. It was as though the floor had dropped from beneath you. The truth Daniel had feared, the truth he had been trying to distance you from, had come crashing down.
⊰⊹⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋄⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⊹⊱
In the days that followed...
You distanced yourself from Mick, unable to shake the feelings of hurt and betrayal that swirled within. Mick noticed the change in your demeanor and couldn't understand the reason behind it. He turned to Daniel, seeking answers.
"Daniel? Honestly?" Irritation was heard from Mick's voice as the supposedly calm conversation turned heated. "You could've just confronted me about it!"
Daniel felt uneasy as Mick's anger and frustration were palpable. But he refused to back down.
"Talk to you about it so that you'll tell me to keep it a secret? Y/n has to know the truth and you can't be playing around people's feelings like that, Mick." Daniel firmly stood by his principle. He knew how laced you were around Mick's finger.
He had seen it before Mick even confessed to you that he liked you. It was always a concern to Daniel.
And he wouldn't let you be hurt because you admired someone.
You deserved someone better.
"Seriously, Daniel? What the fuck are you even talking about? You're not so slick about trying to steal my girl, no?" Mick seriously accused Daniel, his voice was laced with frustration and betrayal.
But Daniel, resolute and firm, refused to accept the blame. "No! I didn't steal anyone, Mick. I had to do it because it was the right thing to do. I care about Y/N, and I couldn't bear to see her hurt."
Accusations and defenses clashed, further deepening the rift that had formed between two of the people closest to you and it hurt you deep inside.
You were supposed to return Daniel's portfolio that you had borrowed. Yet here you are listening to them argue because of you.
You began stepping away, further and further.
Your feet decided to take you away from that place, your heart hammering inside of your chest as you choked from your breaths. Tears welled up in your eyes as you fled to your dorm room, almost collided with someone along the way, the weight of their words heavy on your heart.
You didn't know who to believe this time.
Daniel was probably in the wrong timing?
Mick probably have his reasons too.
But all of these were too overwhelming you didn't know if you should follow your head or your heart.
You had to risk one to choose one.
And it crushed you.

A contemporary clinical reasoning and multi-dimensional approach of Lower back pain management by Dr. Sarma S.T in Journal of Clinical Case Reports Medical Images and Health Sciences
ABSTRACT
The incidence rate of low back pain (LBP) is expanding in every clinical context as it is a common musculoskeletal illness affecting the overall population although the frequency of back pain and functional impairment increasing with age. This leads to tremendous strain as it represents one of the leading causes for growing disability and major socioeconomic burden in almost every healthcare system globally thus an efficient back pain management strategy is an urgent priority. This review is to outline the common causes, associated risk factors, clinical presentation and contemporary clinical reasoning including multi-dimensions of pain aspects to assess the patients with low back pain for achieving the precise clinical decision making as it would be a provision to implement potential tactics to lower the socioeconomic burden of this musculoskeletal disorder on the healthcare service providers.
Keywords: Biopsychosocial model, Clinical decision making, Diagnostic triage, Evidence-based practice, Lower back pain
INTRODUCTION
Lower back pain is a collective musculoskeletal illness affecting the overall population although frequency of back pain and dysfunction take place with aging. The previous research advocates that LBP occurrence increasingly takes place with aging and incidence may be recognized to work-related physical activities too. Population-based studies have indicated that LBP remains global concern thus it challenges every nation. The occurrence of LBP is 84%[1] as this common condition affecting individual at some point in their live consequently seen in both primary and tertiary care clinical settings. Moreover, the 1-year prevalence of LBP in aging people range from 13 to 50% similarly, up to 80%[2] experience this substantial musculoskeletal pain and follow long-term healthcare facility. If the LBP continues more than three months, this is considered to be as chronic lower back pain but there are number of studies advocate that chronic pain is lasting beyond the expected natural healing time period and neglecting the timeline-based classification. The differential diagnosis is crucial as it provides the underlying pathological causes because LBP is a disease not a symptom. The back pain represents one of the leading causes globally for growing number of disability and major socioeconomic burden in almost every healthcare system. According to the Global Burden of Disease Study evaluation revealed that LBP accountable for many years patient lived with disability[3]. Another study estimated that approximately 97% of people experience back pain at some time in their life while around 62% is mechanical nature or non-specific but between 5 and 10% of cases [4] develops chronic LBP then it seems to be the primary focus on seeking health care services. This eventually leads to a wider-range of negative consequences not only individual suffering from LBP but also causing negative impact on national levels. It minimizes the person’s quality of life due to personal suffering and subsequent economic impact on health care system. In the long run, LBP leads to disability in the working population and severely impacts on their productivity subsequently loss their working days. The resultant cost and absenteeism from work along with LBP is a serious social concern.[5] The LBP has a wider-range of potential etiologies and the LBP symptomatology can be overlapped each other also depend on the patient population but among the mechanical nature and non-specific causes are most common. However, successful outcomes of LBP are dependent on precise differential diagnosis. It can be reached by detailed clinical history taking, knowledge of the regional anatomy, precise understanding of the pathology comprehensive physical examination and diagnostic studies.[6] A number of clinical guidelines show that potential success of conservative management for LBP approximately 70% [7] although in certain cases are required surgical intervention. Thus, the efficient LBP management strategy is an urgent priority as the alarming rate of socioeconomic burden of this musculoskeletal disorder for nearly all healthcare service providers in every nation in worldwide.
ETIOLOGY
There is a wider-range of potential causative factors for developing LBP in every population although these etiologies depend on the patient’s medical history, examination and investigation. However, it is advocated that commonly mechanical or non-specific nature of LBP and among a large incidence of mechanical back pain due to lumbago, paraspinal hypertonicity, degenerative disease, facet joint and sacroiliac joint dysfunction while disc prolapse, inflammatory diseases, osteoporosis, malignancy, nerve root compression, canal stenosis and infection are all part of the differential diagnostic procedure.[8] Even though the majority of back pain is mechanical or non-specific nature and somewhere 12-33% [9] of people experience back pain due to either a true red flag like caudaequina syndrome then it need to be the immediate focus on medical management. At present, a growing number of researches contend that the pain occurs because of other aspect like cognitive behavioral factors, thus this dimension must be taken into the back pain diagnostic procedures. Differentiating the nociceptive pain from neuropathic pain and psychogenic pain is an essential step to make precise differential diagnosis as it is a high priority before initiating any therapeutic approaches.[10] The important trait of LBP management is identification of red flags to avoid delay of appropriate intervention and ensure patient safety.[11] It is vital to have comprehensive understand on clinical presentation of individual back pain cases and identifying the typical red flags associated with back pain such as loss of neurological functions, bowel or bladder incontinence and sleep disturbance could help to establish optimistic therapeutic management. There are several interventional approaches are being applied to cure the lower back pain suffering though the recent research report reveals that the majority of back pain cases resolve naturally with certain time duration.[12]
RISK FACTORS
A greater number of studies claimed that varying evidence related to job demands such as lifting and twisting with weight, ethnicity, genetic predisposing factors and mental health issues are all associated with higher risk of back pain although there is a few evidence provided that women have a greater risk of lower back pain.[13] A recent cross-sectional study claimed that there is strong correlation between lower back pain and obesity have a strong relationship as obesity is one of the risk factor to develop back pain subsequent functional disability. However, it is contended that the incidence rate of lower back pain is high when there is high chance of psychological issues.[14] In addition to that this study postulated that there is high prevalence of lower back pain among people with sedentary lifestyle thus they conclude that physical activity help significantly to decrease lower back pain perception. The varying level literature evidence and the lack of a homogenous definition of back pain lead to challenge for clinicians to have definitive conclusion in related to back pain scenarios though the global survey testify that it is varied geographically.[15]
CLINICAL PRESENTATION
The type of pain can be classified easily in case of having clear picture of mechanism of injury like bruise of skin or broken bone unfortunately there are some type of pain mechanism seems to be vague particularly incase of chronic lower back pain. The lower back pain is classified as acute when it persists for up to six weeks period and it is considered as sub-acute when it is prolonged for up to three months. If the pain is persisted beyond three months is considered as chronic lower back pain because 3 months period is commonly required to natural healing.[16] The back pain is usually defined as local pain, spasmodic muscle tenderness between below the costal margin and above the inferior gluteal folds with or without having leg symptoms. The acute lower back pain is often occurred as the result of tissue injuries and patients suffer from acute back pain are unlikely to follow medical care because acute pain gets better on their own or with conservative treatment. The majority of cases are non-specific and this non-specific chronic lower back pain management needs a huge financial burden to every healthcare system globally. The diagnosis and treatment for patients with low back pain have variation within and between country’s clinical practice guidelines.[17]
CLINICAL DIAGNOSIS
The clinical history taking and comprehensive clinical examination are the most important tools for assessing lower back pain to narrow down the potential root causes of lower back pain subsequently arriving precise differential diagnosis.[18] The goal of diagnosis in lower back pain is to describe the root causative factor of anatomic pain unambiguously as possible also concentrating on wisely classified clinical subgroups with the understanding of pain nature. This is essential to organize the appropriate clinical questions, active listening and mapping out the location of the lower back pain. These are the key areas in the medical history taking helps to identify the present pain location and any changes since its onset.[11] Also it is needed to find out easing and aggravating of pain factors because these are important keys to arrive a precise differential diagnosis. Thus, it is essential for clinicians to have clear understanding on the difference between somatic and visceral pain nature. However, if pain does not fit to any known diagnostic profile there may be other factors like psycho-social issues need to be considered.[19]
INTERVENTIONS
The biopsychosocial model has pragmatic clinical care guide to achieve potential prognosis among the chronic musculoskeletal pain cases. Unfortunately, the majority of healthcare providers follow the biomedical focused clinical practice. This approach relies on the structural model as it is generally assumed that the cornerstone of musculoskeletal pain management is governed by the structural changes in the human body.[21] However, the biopsychosocial model focuses on both biomedical element and potential psychological and social effect to analysis individual patient’s back pain. This would help to achieve the optimistic clinical outcomes with shared-clinical decision making with patient ideas, expectations and concerns rather than solely on clinician’s decision. According to the Institute of Pain Medicine, chronic musculoskeletal pain has been acknowledged as association of nervous system instead of completely relies on structural changes.[22]
CONCLUSION
Biopsychosocial model is concentrated a lot of effects on pain related psychosocial factors because people thought, feeling somatosensory experience and social dimensions contribute to development of pain. However, it is an enormous energy paid out to understand structural chances that relates to pain over the decades indeed still chronic musculoskeletal disorders are magnifying an alarming rate consequently burden to almost every healthcare system. Therefore, identification of psychosocial factors involvement and interpretation related to chronic musculoskeletal painful scenarios can contribute to implementation of cost-effective successful pain management strategies and innovation of drugs that help us to cut down socio-economic burden regard to chronic musculoskeletal pain. Therefore, it is essential to shift from biomedical structural model treatment approaches to manage chronic musculoskeletal pain by considering the psychosocial component in every contact of low back pain scenario. Therefore, practicing efficient multimodality chronic lower back pain management pragmatic approaches based on biopsycosocial model is an urgent priority to reduce the socioeconomic burden to almost every healthcare provider as a result of pain reduction, avoid fear of movement and minimize pain catastrophizing would be achieved far better off quality of life in lower back cases.

Since I first got into this game in Feb 2023, I've somehow managed to watch the story from Season 1 to Season 5, from Elias Goldstein to Mel Glover (thx youtube)
So? I'm going to write some reviews about them
1. 13-day System
The main story, from Season 1 to Season 5 (hereinafter Previous Seasons), takes place during Liz Hart's period as a provisional student at the academy
The story consists of a total of 12 days + 1 ending day, of which Day 11 is divided into 3 parts... Exposition, Complication, Crisis, and Climax — everything has to be done in 11 days
Therefore, the narrative flow of previous seasons is bound to go relatively shallow
This is where problems start to arise
The so-called fateful love or love at first sight tends to occur in a short period of time, and as WH Sekai is a world where magic exists, relatively dramatic developments can happen... But how many people can reveal the backstories buried deep in their hearts to someone they've only known for a few days
Of course, Solmare must have known about this. So what was suggested as the solution was...
"The World of Images" (I mean 心像世界 but I don't know how to translate it properly)
It's simple: it's difficult to unravel the character's mystery and develop the main plot in just 11 days, so let's uncover the hidden truth and emotions through The World of Images — interactable landscapes that reflect the psyche!
I'm not meaning The World of Images itself is a bad thing; if used well, nice and dramatic results can be achieved. But I felt The World of Images of previous seasons was so focused on conveying hidden facts and backstories that it didn't really touch me
That "time travel" in Klaus 1 route was not bad at least. Honestly the keyword itself feels a bit out of the blue, but I'm somewhat satisfied with it because the foreshadowing itself exists (I'm not telling about the quality)
But the way I see it, the problem starts with Azusa
The World of Images began to unfold under the name of 〈Time to explore a parallel world with a mysterious butterfly!!〉, and I guess the writer must have felt that this was really good to use, she(he?) started using it for everything including Joel, Vincent, Leon, Glenn, etc…
Although it disappeared in Season 5, the description of learning all the hidden truths at once in a short period did not change — and it was the biggest problem, dammit
But this isn't the only problem
While the stories of Season 1 and Season 2 progress along the lines of individual desires, the keyword "world destruction" begins to appear in any form from Season 3 onwards. And we must remember that all parts of the story (except the Falling Action) have to be completed within 11 days
Can a story that deals with the destruction of the world in 11 days be of good quality? I cannot give a positive answer to this
Come to think of it, in Season 1 and Season 2, where Luca and Azusa act as villains with their individual desires, the world will continue to run fine even if those two achieve their goals. Even if Luca gets the Dragon Eye / even if Azusa gets the unicorn horn, there will be no change for ordinary people not related to them
But signs of the destruction of the world began to appear and… At this point, I cannot help but think the plot is going too far
(And if it's a matter of the world's survival, shouldn't the Ministry of Magic handle it? Why is Liz, who is just a provisional student, solving everything? Why is the Ministry so incompetent huh)
Aren't these problems ultimately a limitation of the game structure itself, the 13-day system. There are bound to be limits to unraveling the increasingly large main plot in a short period of less than two weeks, and in the end, the backstories are revealed as if running out of time, and it becomes difficult to get immersed in it
Is it not so? I feel somewhat detached
As far as I know, from season 6, it is divided into Chapters instead of Days. Of course, even if it is a chapter system, the amount of story for each character won't be very different from the 13-day system
Still, wouldn't the quality of development be better if the time passing within the story was longer
And I heard that the story of Season 6 continues beyond that, so maybe much deeper developments that require a lot of time will be possible (please tell me I'm right)
2. Reviews for Each Season
Season 1: The Tower of Sorrow
tsundere(tm) + playboy-like + curse/eyepatch/transform… classic classic
Elias was the one I played the first. He was the character at the top of the list, and I wanted to watch the story from the beginning. But it was 100% tsundere from shoujo manga in those days so I was a little freaked out (it's not that I didn't expect it though)
btw why is he like that on his route when he's like a trustworthy friend on other routes. how much pressure did he feel about his grades and so on, I mean it's understandable though
Yukiya was honestly great, I say his story is worth reading. A bit of a cliche, but reminded me why clichés are used: provide a stable taste
However, it is a bit disappointing that the settings regarding his curse are not unified. It's not a curse but just a contract with Seth in the main story, so why did it become a curse in the sequel?
Tumblr media
And the villainous, Luca
I interpret him as a character who is unable to withstand the discipline that restricts him in any form because of being locked up as a child, and who longs for freedom but feels only emptiness even in a "freedom state" that arises from ignoring the rules
Okay, this is good... But I was scratched and I don't know why. Luca in Season 2 onwards is a great supporting role, but Luca in Season 1 keeps scratching my mind and that bothers me
Season 2: The Spring of Unicorn
This is my favorite and the reason is clear
Klaus… What do I need to say about him? His story tasted very familiar; the plot goes exactly according to the standard of shoujo manga (It's not that it doesn't taste good though)
Eh… actually I don't have much to say. I liked that there was a bunch of Azusa's villain behavior. Hmm
Randy, I mean Serge, was definitely great, his story is also worth reading
I think the true protagonist of Season 2 is Serge; The tangled events of Season 2 are centered around him, and in the timeline where Liz is connected with Serge, Season 2 comrades eventually find some comfort at least!
But one thing I can't agree with is his catchphrase, "There is no failure or right or wrong answers in magic." Isn't it a bit weird for someone who lost his best friend to a "fail" of magic to say something like that
Erm… I don't know
And another villainous, Azusa
This must have happened:
A: Now let's make up Azusa's route
B: But isn't deceiving and taking advantage of Liz a pattern that has already been used with Luca
A: Hmm… now that I think about it, you're right
C: They say young kids these days like spiciness! If we add some capsaicin, it'll be good
A: Let's fucking go
But they fumble while rolling the dice
To be honest, I don't like this kind of shallow salvation. I like the flow of emotions colliding with each other, but smashing "twisted love愛 built up over years" with "romance恋 built up about 10 days"? Well…
And Solmare, please, why are you eager to justify him okay I got it I understand he has his own reason (and I like the reason) but please please don't I don't want this asshole to be labeled as "just a poor guy with a broken heart" please??
Tumblr media
oh well
Season 3: The King of Fairies
A: I'm tired of one of the romanceable characters being a villain. Let’s make the main antagonist a non-romanceable character!
So the fairy king Oberon appears
Joel was honestly quite good… I like that kind of damn personality. The argument between Joel and Eress was very funny, I really like it when those with a damn personality fight childishly
btw his concept was the forgotten childhood friend, he's bound to lose every time a new romanceable character comes out then... he suits BSS so well omg
In my personal opinion Vincent's visiting student concept is fucking ×3 unreasonable and stupid... In other stories except Season 3 (as far as I know), he appears as just a Ministry of Magic agent 1. And it was much better that way honestly
And Liz is so helpless in his route!!
okay, it might have been to highlight Vincent's attributes as a knight… but I don't like it
and raising a baby dad? What the fuck is this It's fucking ×3 creepy omfg
Tumblr media
If there's anything worth noting in Season 3, it's related to Leon: All of the events in Season 3 happened because of Leon's actions, but he doesn't act as an antagonist
Personally, I'm not a fan of those "teaching emotions" stories, but his happy/unhappy endings are fuck dammit Those saved his whole story I dare say, his ending was the global maximum of the previous seasons
Season 4: The Princess of Crystal
Season 4 feels similar to Season 1 and Season 2? There was quite a bit of the story that unfolded in the classroom, providing glimpses into the narrative of a Season 1 comrade as well (such as Yukiya being despised by his classmates), and the formula of a romanceable character taking on the role of a villain was applied too
Cerim was, well, I thought he had quite a damn personality because he stabbed Liz in the neck with a wand in the preview… I was a bit surprised that he was nicer, milder, and more normal than I expected
But! I don't agree with making him confess, kiss, and propose first while giving him that insensitive attribute
Guy was quite good, I enjoyed it
But on one hand, it feels like the full potential of his story was not revealed because he was with the positive queen Liz??
I mean, a genius pretending to be an ordinary person ← This is a very good element to stimulate feelings of inferiority you know... Liz just thought "Oh he's awesome!" and moved on, but think about how he would interact if paired with an ordinary person with an inferiority complex
Yeah?
But!! I was very, very disappointed in Glenn
I honestly had really high expectations for this story, but why the fuck did the story unfold like shit. Why did that fucking rabbit suddenly jump out, why were they recklessly delving into his backstory with the necklace he dropped without his permission — besides it's just ridiculous, it was revealed so hastily. Why on earth do they let me know nothing until Day 10 and then say it all at once on Day 11-1 hello??
And I was dumbfounded watching Aster vanished with that fucking song
wait what WHAT Is this the end? Seriously? What will happen to Guy if we get rid of Aster like that? Oi? You guys are taking away his chance to untie the knot in his heart like that? Is this right??
Uh… Anyway, it was a bit disappointing, I didn't expect the climax would be this unremarkable
Tumblr media
Season 5: The Sol Maiden's
Looks like Solmare made a big decision… because in Season 5, the main instigator behind all this only appears in the final route
Leslie was easy to watch, he had no hidden story at all, plus I like his damn personality
But all the stories were Leslie is amazing~ Leslie is awesome~... eh seriously
Sigurd was, actually, I saw a review about him before starting his route: "The writing is sick, but the plot is shit."
After reading the whole story, I really understood what it meant… I really don't have anything more to say than that
Mel was, what can I say… Wasn't he a nerd? Why is he acting so sly
Mel's route provides an answer to the question of why the villain did not appear in the other routes in Season 5. Kate, the villain in Season 5, was gathering power from all worlds, and her plans were foiled by Liz in other timelines so she couldn't reveal herself… that was the case
Tumblr media
I didn't think Kate was a villain because she appeared with too much villain vibe. Since Mel showed an uncooperative attitude in Sigurd's route, I thought Mel would be the antagonist and Kate would act as a helper... But she WAS a villain (duh)
What? She has the ability to cross alternate realities? You just throw such a big fact without any foreshadowing? Are you insane Solmare
Well, I did like the twist that the voice of the magic tree that was continuously heard was actually created by Kate (I saw through it in advance though — I didn't trust the tree because it didn't teach me how to help; it just fucking complained about needing assistance)
And please stop with that damn transformation gimmick PLEASE why do you guys keep changing Liz's clothes like a magical girl, dammit it's not cool at all, it's just stupid as fuck
3. Overall Review
I really think these stories in previous seasons have potential. They could definitely become a highly stimulating and delicious story if it were done a little more… but it doesn't work out that way
And why the FUCK are they already getting engaged after just meeting each other. Is this how all Gen Z live these days? Or am I just fucking narrow-minded
Erm... I decided to look forward to Season 6. It'll definitely become more interesting since the cataclysm occurred. Right?

2112's Rant Time™ #4 (Special Edition): DOCTOR WHO IS BACK (Spoilers for Doctor Who: The Star Beast Inbound!)
Tumblr media
It's that time once again where I rant and/or rave about topics I'm both passionate and/or pissed off about (sometimes both at the same time). Today I'll be talking about the first of the THREE Doctor Who 60th anniversary specials,
"The Star Beast".
So I haven't really mentioned it here, but I am a HUGE fan of Doctor Who... at least the 2005 series (I'll get around to watching the classic series I promise). However, my love for the franchise (like many) kinda waned during the "Chibnall" era. Now I'm not gonna sit here and trash talk Chibnall Who all day (that's for another time), but I will say that I don't really HATE his era. It's just not as polished as RTD1 or even most of Moffat era (KEYWORD, MOST). However, I can safely say that I believe Doctor Who is in good hands once again!
Let's start with the new intro. It's BLOODY GORGEOUS!
Definitely my favorite intro sequence since Capaldi's. It's just so vibrant, wicked, and full of life. And it's nice to see a new intro after 5 years. Now Jodie's intro wasn't bad, per se, it just felt a bit teeny bit bland. Though I did like how it was basically Hartnell's intro but on steroids. Which is funny because the new intro is basically Eccleston's/Tennant's intro but on steroids as well.
As for the episode itself, it was fun! Definitely a return to form for the show. Rose Noble was a damn good character. She's written pretty well. Donna is as killer as she was in Series 4. And the reveal that the metacrisis was passed down to Rose was kinda unexpected (the thought of that being a thing didn't even come to mind tbh).
Now of course, Rose Noble is indeed trans, which is not a problem at all and anyone who says that it is a problem or that "ERM DOCTOR WHO IS WOKE NOW GRRRRR" is a complete idiot (and besides, Doctor Who has always been kinda "woke", and I absolutely no problem with that being the case).
Donna is as killer as she was in Series 4. Definitely was one of the best parts of the episode. The Meep was cool and cute. Also pretty "Killer". The reveal that the metacrisis was passed down to Rose Noble was not something I had expected or even really thought about.
The new Tardis interior was, again, GORGEOUS!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I love the fact that it looks a combination of the classic era interiors, with a slight hint of the steampunk aesthetics of the Eccleston/OG Tennant interioirs, and the winding stairs and ramps and whatnot of the Matt Smith/Capaldi interiors. AND THE ROUND THINGS MAKE THEIR RETURN ONCE AGAIN!
but yea overall it was rlly gud. definitely gonna do rant times for the other 2 specials (and honestly any new episode going forward). and starting with the christmas special, i'm gonna split the regular rant times and the review rant times into 2 separate things. the review rant times will then onwards be called 2112's Review Time™.
that's all. tune in next time where i rip chibnall a new one... or i talk about the wild blue yonder.

How to Find a Trusted Ahrefs Group Buy Seller
Navigating the Maze: Finding a Trusted Ahrefs Group Buy Seller
Ahrefs, the SEO (Search Engine Optimization) powerhouse, equips users with an arsenal of tools to analyze websites, research keywords, track rankings, and gain valuable competitor insights. While coveted by SEO professionals, the subscription fees can be a barrier for some, particularly freelancers, small businesses, or those starting out. This is where Ahrefs group buys emerge, offering a potentially cost-effective alternative. However, navigating the world of group buys requires caution, as not all sellers are created equal. This guide equips you with the knowledge to find a trusted Ahrefs group buy seller, allowing you to access these powerful tools without compromising security or reliability.
Tumblr media
The Allure of Ahrefs Group Buys
Ahrefs group buys operate on a simple principle: multiple users share the cost of a single Ahrefs subscription. This can significantly reduce the financial burden, making Ahrefs' comprehensive toolkit more accessible. But the benefits go beyond affordability:
Collaboration: Agencies or teams working on SEO projects can benefit from shared access, fostering streamlined workflows and efficient communication.
Regular Updates: Reputable group buy sellers ensure access to the latest Ahrefs features and updates, keeping you equipped with cutting-edge tools.
The Buyer Beware Approach: Potential Risks
Before diving headfirst into the world of Ahrefs group buys, it's crucial to acknowledge the potential downsides:
Security Concerns: Sharing account credentials with a third-party seller can pose a security risk. Meticulously research the provider's reputation and security practices.
Unreliable Access: Some sellers might offer unstable access due to account suspension or limitations imposed by Ahrefs.
Limited Usage: Certain group buys may restrict daily or monthly usage limits for specific tools to maintain fairness among users.
Ethical Considerations: Ahrefs frowns upon unauthorized account sharing. Consider supporting their development by opting for an official subscription if financially viable.
Finding the Trustworthy Seller: Essential Criteria
With the potential drawbacks in mind, here's how to identify a trusted Ahrefs group buy seller:
Reputation is Key: Start by researching the seller's track record. Look for online reviews, testimonials, and forum discussions to gauge their reliability and customer satisfaction.
Transparency Matters: A trustworthy seller will have a clear and transparent website outlining their pricing structure, terms of service, data security practices, and refund policy (if applicable).
Security First: Inquire about the seller's security measures to protect user data. Secure login protocols and two-factor authentication are strong indicators of a responsible provider.
Communication Channels: Opt for a seller with established communication channels, allowing you to reach them promptly with questions or concerns.
Going Beyond the Basics: Advanced Tips
Once you've identified a few potential sellers, take these additional steps for further verification:
Social Proof: Check if the seller maintains active social media profiles or online communities. Engagement levels and user feedback can reveal valuable insights.
Payment Methods: Opt for a seller who uses secure payment gateways like PayPal or credit card processors with buyer protection mechanisms.
Trial Periods: If available, consider a trial period to assess the quality of service and tool access before committing long-term.
FAQs: Demystifying Ahrefs Group Buy Sellers
What are some red flags to look out for when choosing a seller?
Be wary of sellers offering unrealistically low prices, vague terms of service, or limited communication channels.
Is it possible to find a completely risk-free Ahrefs group buy?
There is always an inherent risk involved in using a group buy service. However, by following the outlined tips and conducting thorough research, you can significantly minimize these risks.
What are some alternatives to Ahrefs group buys?
Several free and paid SEO tools offer varying functionalities. Explore options like Google Search Console, SEMrush, or Moz before committing to a group buy.
Can I get banned from Ahrefs for using a group buy?
Ahrefs can potentially suspend your account if they detect unauthorized access or suspicious activity.
What are the long-term implications of using a group buy?
Using a group buy for an extended period might hinder your ability to access the full benefits of an official subscription, such as dedicated customer support or priority access to new features.
Conclusion
Ahrefs group buys present a potentially cost-effective way to leverage powerful SEO tools. However, approaching them with caution and due diligence is crucial. By following the outlined strategies and prioritizing security and transparency, you can increase your chances of finding a reliable seller who who can provide access to Ahrefs' tools without compromising your data or hindering your SEO efforts. Remember, the ideal scenario involves striking a balance between affordability and peace of mind. Here are some additional considerations:
Official Ahrefs Subscription vs. Group Buy: If your budget allows, weigh the long-term benefits of an official Ahrefs subscription. Direct support from Ahrefs, access to all features without limitations, and a lower risk of account suspension are valuable advantages.
Alternative SEO Tools: Explore free or paid alternatives like Ubersuggest, KWFinder, or Moz Pro. Depending on your specific needs, these tools might offer a good balance of functionality and cost.
Building Your Case for an Official Subscription: If you work within an organization, consider presenting a well-researched case for acquiring an official Ahrefs subscription. Highlight the long-term ROI (Return on Investment) potential and how Ahrefs can enhance your SEO efforts.
Ultimately, the decision to use an Ahrefs group buy rests on your individual needs and risk tolerance. By carefully evaluating the options and prioritizing security, you can make an informed choice that empowers your SEO journey.

How Competitor Analysis is Beneficial for SEO
Tumblr media
Competitor analysis is a cornerstone of effective SEO strategies. By understanding how your competitors are performing and what tactics they employ, you can identify gaps and opportunities within your own strategy. Here’s a breakdown of why competitor analysis is invaluable for SEO.
Introduction
In the competitive landscape of digital marketing, staying ahead means understanding not only your audience but also your competitors. Competitor analysis provides a deep dive into the strategies that are working for others in your industry, which you can adapt and improve upon.
1. Identify Keyword Opportunities
By analyzing the keywords that your competitors rank for, especially those which drive significant traffic to their sites, you can discover untapped areas or more effective keyword strategies. Tools like SEMrush and Ahrefs can reveal these insights.
2. Benchmark Content Quality
Evaluate the content quality of your competitors. What topics do they cover? How detailed are their posts? Use this information to benchmark and improve your own content, ensuring it provides more value, which is key for SEO.
3. Understand Backlink Strategies
Backlinks are crucial for SEO. Analyzing where your competitors' backlinks come from can help you target similar high-quality sources. Tools such as Moz and Ahrefs provide comprehensive insights into backlink profiles.
4. Learn from Their SEO Practices
Reviewing competitors’ SEO tactics, from their meta descriptions to their structured data use, can provide actionable insights. Implement best practices while avoiding the pitfalls they’ve encountered.
5. Monitor Social Media Engagement
Social media doesn’t directly impact SEO rankings, but the engagement levels can inform content strategies that improve SEO indirectly. Notice which content types gain more traction and audience interaction.
6. Innovate Above and Beyond
Finally, competitor analysis isn’t just about copying what others do best. It’s about leveraging this information to innovate and develop unique strategies that set your brand apart from the rest.
Conclusion

RECENT ECOMMERCE NEWS (INCLUDING ETSY), LATE MAY 2024
Tumblr media
It's been an eventful couple of weeks since I took my brief vacation, so here's a relatively long ecommerce news update - just skip the topics you don't care about, and read the ones you do!
The SEO and Marketing update should also be out tonight, barring any emergencies.

TOP NEWS & ARTICLES
Etsy’s 2023 Transparency Report was mostly more of the same: lots of takedowns of valid listings, more automation, and more promises to fix things. How do they plan on “clarifying” Etsy policies to both buyers and sellers? Stay tuned…
Etsy CEO Josh Silverman recently revealed more details [post by me on Patreon] about how the company intends Etsy search to work now. While I have been telling folks this for a while, I think it is important to reiterate: it's not all about keywords, titles and tags any more! (although they still have a small impact) Silverman wants Etsy search ranking to be about:
shipping on time
"people are always delighted with the item and give you 5-star reviews"
responding to Etsy Messages quickly
"appropriate" shipping prices*
a "good return policy" [yes, I think that means accepting most returns]
*no idea what that means; I am sure we are about to find out. Caps on shipping charges for some types of items - as they do on eBay - are possible, as are mandatory Etsy Label use for a few countries.
He didn't mention image quality here, but does cover that elsewhere - they are correlating that with the quality of the item, to some extent. So, if you want visibility on Etsy, stop worrying so much about changing tags, and start worrying about running your business the way Etsy wants you to run it. Is this fair to long time businesses on the platform? Not really, as Etsy systems often punish sellers who live in countries without cheap tracking, who create complicated custom items that take weeks to ship, and who do not work overtime 7 days a week to jump whenever Etsy or a buyer says they must. But this is how Etsy is changing, and each shop must decide for themselves what they want to do about it.
I am seeing some odd Etsy shop suspensions lately, some of which seem to involve not shipping within processing times - or not getting the first scan within processing times - and no other major risks or policy violations. While Etsy restored that shop less than a day after I posted everywhere, I am still receiving other complaints with similar issues, or worse: no apparent reason for the closure at all. One yesterday did win their appeal and has been reopened, but others have had no luck.
ETSY NEWS
If you set up an official Father’s Day sale on Etsy, check to see that the correct percentage off was used - there are reports of errors. E.g., trying to set a minimum order of $50 could lead to orders over 50 cents going through. Some sellers report they have been able to get refunds from Etsy. If you didn't set up a Father's Day sale, check to see if you are running one anyway, as Etsy seems to have opted some shops in without their permission. Both issues are covered in this forum thread, and the unauthorized sales are also discussed on Reddit. An Etsy employee says “we’re investigating the issue”, but doesn’t clarify which issue. Over on Reddit, a seller posted an Etsy Support response which denies sales were set up by Etsy without any action by the seller. This person did get reimbursed for a sale they didn’t set up, but it was also set to the wrong discount (a 30 cent minimum).
The old Etsy listing page will disappear as of June 25; I covered the story on Patreon. Within 2 days, Etsy clarified that more changes would be coming, so I guess the complaints worked for some issues. If you are struggling with it, here are a few tips on making it work.
There seems to be an uptick in payment reserves again; please let me know if you see anything interesting out there.
A new Etsy tool for punishing “risky” shops: reducing the maximum daily Etsy Ads budget. There are threads here and also here, plus I have received emails.
The latest buyer test is to allow refunds to be paid out as Etsy credits they can use immediately to make a new order. Etsy claims this will not affect how sellers issue refunds. Obviously this is great for Etsy, as the company may hold on to the money for months or years if the customer doesn't want to make an order right away, or doesn't use all of the credit, but it could also be good for buyers, as some other types of refunds can take over a week to process in some jurisdictions.
As is being discussed in the Etsy forum, Etsy is currently testing placing other shop’s listings - including paid Ads - on shop home pages. Here is one example:
Tumblr media
[Screenshot courtesy Tracy of Pooch and Tabby.] While the listings are marked as “More from other sellers”, it’s easy to imagine some shoppers not noticing that, given that the listings appear right below the shop ones, and above feedback. Depending on how similar the photo styles are:
Tumblr media
[Screenshot courtesy of BlackSheepDyeworks] the fact this is a different shop could be missed. Remember, it is just a test, so it may go away and never reappear. It could also be on every home page forever starting tomorrow, or it could be something that they will charge you to have removed (i.e., more “benefits” for the shop tiers they surveyed sellers on.)
Another Etsy test is changing how we can set up sales; they’ve added a separate option for discounts with order minimums, but have removed the ability to offer free shipping above order minimums.
Sellers in India will no longer be able to make domestic sales, starting June 3. [I really do not understand this change; perhaps the payment methods are no longer possible. Remember that Etsy was making an extra cut on sales within India, as they forced sellers there to ship domestic orders using Etsy Labels, starting last April.] At the same time, Indian sellers need to sign up for Etsy Payments between June 3 and July 31, and must provide a GSTIN number to continue to sell on the site.
Etsy apparently disabled 3 different drop shipping integrations in early May, due to non-compliance with the third-party integration policy. This should not affect shops using accepted integrations, such as the many POD sites that Etsy allows if the seller designed the product.
Having issues with Etsy saying your items were not tracked when they really were? If you provide evidence for each order and then keep demanding Support deal with it, you might succeed, as this seller did.
Tumblr media
Etsy has already moved ahead with changing Canadian calculated shipping to the new Canada Post Etsy Labels rates they offer, without a specific announcement on the topic. That has led to some Canadian sellers finding they have undercharged a great deal for shipping, if they use methods other than Etsy Labels. The only mention was at the bottom of the shipping label price reductions announcement, which some didn’t notice and some were confused by, and of course, people who never want to use Etsy Labels didn’t even read.
Etsy edits its Prohibited Items Policy several times a year; the latest changes involve “Violent Items”.
Etsy removes results for certain prohibited words - for example, try searching for “taser” - and has finally added the word “porn” to that list. Here, I searched it for you so you don’t have to:
Tumblr media
CNBC published a short news story, and a much longer video, on current Etsy problems and what may happen in the future. Of note: “In a comment to CNBC, Etsy said that it recognizes its current definition of handmade, includes a broad spectrum of items, and will clarify its policies to be more transparent about what belongs on Etsy in the coming months”.
Etsy was called out for allowing the sale of fake seeds purporting to grow “cat-faced flowers”, but of course the images are AI-generated.
They finally arrested one of the people running those fake Etsy Support phone number ads.
Wells Fargo thinks Etsy will benefit from Temu giving less attention to the US market.
ECOMMERCE NEWS (minus social media)
Amazon
Fulfilled By Amazon (FBA) items with what Amazon deems a “high return rate” will be subject to extra fees per return starting June 1, 2024.
Some Amazon sellers need to reverify their accounts due to the Inform Act.
eBay
eBay is apparently testing allowing buyers to make a price match request after the purchase was completed. Sellers can decline the offer and even cancel the order.
One of eBay’s subsidiaries is facing a union-busting claim. The complaints include unfair treatment of disabled employees, and placement of surveillance cameras.
The eBay UK user agreement now mentions “Simple Delivery”, but it is not clear what that means.
Poshmark
“Promoted Closet” is a new ad tool from Poshmark that allows US sellers to promote their whole shop at once. “Poshmark didn’t say when the feature will roll out to Canada.”
Shopify
Alavara’s tax services are now able to be integrated with all types of Shopify subscriptions.
Shopify’s slowing growth projections led to the stock tanking May 8, even though they are still predicting “second-quarter revenue to grow at a high-teens percentage.”
Squarespace
After 3 years of poor performance as a public company, Squarespace is once again going private; private equity firm Permira is paying $44 a share, which is 30% above the stock’s recent price. Minority investors are suing, saying they are not getting a fair price.
Walmart
Walmart cut a partnership deal with Disney, letting Disney streaming services target ads at viewers based on their Walmart data profiles.
Walmart Marketplace sellers have been surveyed on what they might want out of a seller forum.
All Other Marketplaces
Mercari says its new fee structure seems to be bringing in new users and new listings, so they are considering more changes, such as surge pricing on buyer fees. They are also changing their return policy back to their old one, starting May 22. “After careful consideration and listening intently to feedback from our seller community, we have decided to reinstate our prior return policy effective May 22, 2024 at 12:00 AM PST. “Returns for any reason” will no longer apply.”
Secondhand marketplaces were called out for allowing significant fraud in a new UK study. Etsy-owned Depop fared the worst, with over half of buyers saying they had “experienced a scam on the site.” Facebook had better numbers than Amazon and eBay.
Depop’s CEO Kruti Patel Goyal recently gave an interview to Glossy [text excerpts with podcast link] discussing how GenZ loves resale, her history at Etsy, and changes they are working on at Depop.
All Other Website Builders
PrestaShop will be offering “Click to Pay” in several European countries - France, Spain, Italy and the United Kingdom - allowing buyers to skip entering their card info at purchase. They plan on expanding it to more countries and regions in the future.
Shipping
USPS wants to raise Parcel Select rates around 25% this summer. They are also delaying their reductions in processing locations until 2025.
Canada Post claims it could run out of money in 2025, and lost $748 million in 2023. “Canada Post has been losing money since 2018. In the last six years, its losses have totalled $3 billion.”

Further review of the files revealed Ventress' name on the list of thirty four. The documentation for her 'ownership' paperwork has no previous owner, parents, or caregiver listed. I assume she was free, and then she was enslaved, but the 'how' and 'why' a nightsister ended up so far away from Dathomir remain a mystery. Are there even other zabrak there? We are a social species, rarely sleeping, eating, or working alone. It is unlikely she has a kin group. I have watched the feeds of her fights closely, even before and after. No one wants to be near her.
Again I find myself nonplussed that this random woman has also been denied the same basics of sentient rights in much the way I was. The jedi have failed to guide the galaxy anywhere. It seems I am going to do something about it. Small, perhaps, but something.

What Is Keyword Research?
Tumblr media
Keyword research is a fundamental component of search engine optimization (SEO) and content marketing. It is the process of identifying and analyzing specific words and phrases that people use when searching for information, products, or services on search engines like Google.
The goal of keyword research is to understand user intent, determine which keywords are relevant to your website or content, and strategically use these keywords to improve your online visibility, attract targeted traffic, and achieve better search engine rankings.
In this article, we'll explore the key aspects of keyword research and why it's essential for your online presence.
Understanding User Intent: Keyword research begins by understanding the intent behind a user's search. Users turn to search engines to find answers, solutions, products, or information. Some common types of user intent include:
Informational: Users seek information or answers to questions.
Navigational: Users look for a specific website or resource.
Transactional: Users want to make a purchase or take a specific action.
Commercial Investigation: Users are researching products or services before making a decision.
Identifying user intent helps you tailor your content and SEO strategy to meet users' needs.
Discovering Relevant Keywords: Once you understand user intent, you can start generating a list of relevant keywords. This involves brainstorming, using keyword research tools, analyzing competitors, and considering long-tail keywords (phrases with three or more words) that are specific to your niche. Effective keyword research involves selecting keywords that are both relevant to your content and have a reasonable search volume.
Analyzing Keyword Metrics: Keyword research tools provide valuable metrics that help you assess the potential of each keyword. Key metrics include:
Search Volume: The average number of times a keyword is searched for each month.
Keyword Difficulty: An estimate of how hard it is to rank for a keyword.
Click-Through Rate (CTR): The percentage of users who click on a search result after seeing it.
Cost-Per-Click (CPC): The average cost of a paid ad click for that keyword.
These metrics guide your keyword selection and allow you to prioritize keywords that are achievable and likely to bring in relevant traffic.
Competitor Analysis: Analyzing your competitors can reveal which keywords they are targeting successfully. This information can help you identify gaps in your SEO strategy and find opportunities to outperform them in search rankings.
Keyword Segmentation: Grouping keywords into categories based on their intent is crucial. It allows you to create content that caters to different aspects of your target audience's needs. For example, you may have keywords related to "how-to" guides, "product reviews," or "best practices."
Content Strategy: Keyword research informs your content strategy. You can create high-quality, valuable content around the keywords you've identified. This content should address user intent and provide comprehensive information to satisfy searchers' needs.
On-Page SEO: Optimizing your website or content for the chosen keywords is a vital part of keyword research. This includes placing keywords strategically in titles, headings, meta descriptions, and content while ensuring that the content reads naturally.
Tracking and Iteration: Keyword research is an ongoing process. It's essential to track the performance of your keywords using tools like Google Analytics and Search Console. Analyze which keywords are driving traffic and conversions and make necessary adjustments to your strategy.
In conclusion, keyword research is the foundation of a successful SEO and content marketing strategy. It empowers you to understand user intent, identify relevant keywords, and create content that not only ranks well in search engines but also fulfills the needs of your target audience. By continuously refining your keyword research and optimization efforts, you can improve your online visibility, attract the right audience, and ultimately achieve your online goals.
If you wish to know more about using the right keywords and how to incorporate these strategies into your content, it would be wise to work with the experts of the SEO company in India.
