Oh, wow! This book is such a fun and endearing read despite it being light and short. . The story takes place more than ten years ago, in 2003 to be precise; there are a lot of stereotypes, bullying, and homophobia within its pages, and I love it in a way that it made me feel nostalgic whilst reading. . As I had fun and went through the pages, it has made me realize how far forward our society has already gone to address such issues, and that it is far too late for us to let those people in power revert us back to such a horrible place. . P.S. The only downside of this book that I can think of is that I have recently found out that this is only the first book in a quadrulogy. Cine: Geography Club (2013)

Russel Middlebrook (Cameron Dean Stewart), aún con ciertas dudas sobre su sexualidad, chatea con un chico y acuerda con él un encuentro en una plaza. Lógicamente, acude, pero sólo para encontrarse con el capitán del equipo de fútbol americano, Kevin Land (Justin Deeley). Inician una relación amistosa hasta que, en un campamento, en medio de una lluvia nocturna, se dan un beso que parecía impensado y que concluye abruptamente por la sorpresiva interrupción de Min (Ally Maki). 

Pero Min, una alumna del Goodkind High School, no pretende delatarles sino impulsar un grupo de apoyo a estudiantes gays y lesbianas bajo la fachada del Club de Geografía. Una alternativa a la que se unen Russel, Min, su novia Terese (Nikki Blonski), Ike (Alex Newell) y aún Brian (Teo Olivares) un muchacho que es heterosexual, pero quiere conocer amigos para escapar de un ambiente familiar asfixiante.

Kevin propone a Russel formar parte del equipo para profundizar su relación, lo cual le lleva a convertirse en figura destacada, pero también a decidir si va a formar parte de los que acosan a los menos apreciados en pos de continuar con alguien que quiere conservar el secreto de su sexualidad por una carrera deportiva y universitaria exitosa.

Gary Entin dirige esta adaptación de la celebrada novela homónima de Brent Hartinger, autor habituado a escribir sobre adolescentes gays y que aquí inicia una trilogía en torno a Russel. No podemos evitar mencionar, entre los personajes importantes del filme, al mejor amigo del protagonista, Gunnar (Andrew Caldwell); Trish (Meaghan Martin) y Kimberly (Allie Gonino) como las pretendientes de Russel y Gunnar; Ana Gasteyer, que interpreta a la profesora Toles, y Scott Bakula, a Carl, el padre de Kevin.

On Tuesday, Kevin of U-kiss wrote a tweet about "Kevinland". Numerous KissMe's started talking about Kevinland. 

Kevinland started trending. 

Then fans of Kevin Jonas of the JoBros. started seeing Kevinland on the twitter trends! Uh oh...they thought it was about KEVIN JONAS!!!!!!

Well, blood, tears and rage ensued. 

However, it was a learning experience for me. 

A clueless Jonas fan also thought it was about Kevin Jonas. She wrote in spanish "Kevinland is for Kevin Jonas, no?" I tweeted back "No. It is Kevin Woo of U-Kiss"

I did not expect any response after that. BUT she DID respond! 

I basically explained to her who Kevin Woo is and what U-Kiss is. 

She still prefers Kevin Jonas of the Jonas Brothers. However, let us keep in mind that exposure is the first step towards conversion.
