The point when you realise that dancing is awesome!

(Hopefully by this point you’ve finished all 85 minutes of ‘Lilo & Stitch’, the kind of person who isn’t bothered by spoilers, or are just deciding if you still want to keep watching.)

I’m pretty sure that a lot of humans have declared that ‘dancing isn’t for them’ because of the judgement society inflicts on where the line lies.

Even if I have this immense affection for ‘This Is Us’...one episode shows the example of making fun (with the best intentions) of those who just ‘dances how they feel’...Beth even pointedly notes that what Randall was doing was ‘not dancing’.

What I do like best about the film is during the end montage Stitch takes care of the two sisters (doing laundry and packing their lunches)

She stops...a realisation...and turns back to the pint sized menace.

STITCH Does Stitch have to go in the ship?

The leader softens...

GRAND COUNCILWOMAN Yes...

STITCH Can Stitch say good-bye?

Surprised at the kind of respect this creature is giving her...

GRAND COUNCILWOMAN Yes.

STITCH Thank you.

He walks over to where NANI and LILO are and sits, ears down. LILO throws his arms around him.

The GRAND COUNCILWOMAN eyes the two humans.

GRAND COUNCILWOMAN Who are you?

STITCH stands and faces her. His eyes full of emotion.

STITCH This...this is my family. I found it, all on my own.

He takes a few steps towards her.

STITCH It's little and broken...

NANI pulls LILO to her. STITCH throws them a look.

STITCH ...but still good.

The siblings give him an encouraging smile.

STITCH Yeah. Still good.

“Why not? He toldyou being able to reproduce like this was impossible, right?” Kevin asked. “Wouldn’tyou love to just rub it in his face, that he was wrong for once in his life?”

“I do not knowwhat that means.” Malware said. “But he has been wrong far more times thanthat.”

“True.” Kevinsaid. “But at least you could showhim. Send a picture, or something, he’d get the message.”

“Perhaps.” Malwareanswered. “But, since you are so enthusiastic about this, you should be the one to take our picture. Of myself, and my-“ Hepaused. He didn’t know what to call it.

Child was too personal, it hadn’t fully sunken in yet that this washis to keep, and that he would take the responsibilities of a parent for them.

But at the sametime, he wanted- and needed- to be better than his own father.

Creation didn’t sound right either, it was far too cold, and remindedhim of said father. And experimentwas even worse.

“Aivas.” Malwareechoed, liking the sound of it. “My Aivas. However, even if he did only seethem, that would still alert him to their presence- he may want to take them infor experimentation.”

“Or worse.” Kevinpointed out.

Malware nodded. “Thatis always possible.”

Kevin didn’t likethinking about that, so he changed the subject, knowing it would make both ofthem more comfortable.

“Okay, okay, so we’renot telling Azmuth.” He said. “Definitely not. Terrible idea. But, you know whowe are telling?”

“Who?”

“Ben.”

“No.” was Malware’simmediate answer. “Tennyson- he still believes I am his enemy. He will try todestroy us both- or all three of us, knowing his tendency to distrust you.”

“Not wrong.” Kevinanswered. “But it’s been 5 years since you guys fought face to face, right?”

“Yes…”

“Then I’m sure hedoesn’t hold what you did against you anymore.” He said. “It’s fine. Andbesides, he was a mother himself, once. I’m sure he could relate.”

Malware wascompletely confused.

“What exactly doyou mean-“ he started, but Kevin was already typing in Ben’s number.

“He’ll explainwhen he gets here.” Kevin said. “Now, excuse me. I have to go make a scene.”

Malware sighed. Hewas still doubtful, but at least he was trying to trust him.

Hopefully, saidtrust would be well placed, and not end in another disastrous encounter withhim.

That was the lastthing he wanted, at that moment.
