earth-82 superfam continuity part one: the early years

dru-zod’s attempted revolution fails and gets him and his compatriots sent to the phantom zone, but there are casualties

among them being his sister, delle bet-zod, and her wife, teva van-dul. they left behind a three year old son, val-zod, who was adopted by jor-el and lara lor-van

val was two years younger than his adoptive cousin keren zor-el, at five, and two years older than his other adoptive cousin, kara zor-el. val and keren quickly bonded and became best friends

val was ten years old when his younger brother, kal-el was conceived. he was eleven when krypton was destroyed and their parents sent them to earth

val and kal were found by jonathan and martha kent and adopted, though jonathan and martha struggled with the language barrier as val only spoke kryptonese. it didn’t take him long to learn english though as his new adoptive parents learned kryptonese in tandem. (growing up clark was called kal as much as he was called his earth name by everyone in his family)

lana lang’s meta gene was activated by the meteor shower of kryptonite, although she didn’t learn this until she was sixteen. she moved to national city to study textile engineering and became superwoman only a scant year after superman appeared in metropolis and nimbus (val) appeared in san diego for the first times

lana fell in love with a young widow, eliza danvers née lee, when she was twenty-five. eliza had a ten year old daughter named alejandra or—as she preferred—ale/alex

as an adult, val moved to san diego for college, with the intent to become a nature photographer (partially as an excuse for why he traveled around the world, partially because he learned he was both talented at it and enjoyed it)

clark was twenty-five and val was thirty-six when lex luthor created what was supposed to be an alternative hero for metropolis in matrix, who took the form of a seventeen year old girl. this eventually ended in clark bring matrix, who would soon be named mae beatrice kent, home to smallville to be properly raised by martha and jonathan. she became a little sister for clark and val

almost a year later, the pods that held keren and kara were found. clark, at only twenty-six, didn’t feel prepared to take in a thirteen year old and an eleven year old and val wasn’t an option as he didn’t tend to stay in one place for long, so they asked lana and eliza, newly engaged, to take the two girls in, feeling that with lana’s abilities and eliza’s history with the deo (the department of extranormal operations), they’d be able to hand the two young kryptonians, knowing he was almost always only a call of his name away. keren and kara were introduced as karen and kara starr, eliza’s distant cousins who had been newly orphaned

after the formation of the justice league, keren soon became acquainted with several teen heroes and decided to become one herself, becoming power girl at age fourteen, and soon after becoming a founding member of the first iteration of the teen titans

Are there any notable costume differences on Earth 82?

there’s a couple!

the biggest ones are probably supergirl’s, power girl’s and raven’s though!

raven’s costume is kinda a combination of ntt & tt03 cartoon & rebirth. it’s a mid-thigh purple dress, sheer black tights, a black cloak, black gloves, and combat boots! power girl never has the boob window, though she does have a very daring neckline, and instead of a leotard, her uniform goes down to shorts. and supergirl never has a skirt! instead her og outfit is kind of similar to kon’s, in that it kind of just looks more like. a regular outfit. i can post pics i made on a x-men costume dress up game if you wanna see aksgsjshsj

“I’m worried about Dick,” Donna said as she tucked her bare feet under Keren’s thigh, wiggling her toes.

On Keren’s other side sat Roy, absolutely draped over the Kryptonian with his cheek resting on shoulder. He nodded. “To be honest, I can’t remember ever not being worried about Dick, but recently....”

“He broke up with Kory,” Keren revealed. “Said he wasn’t any good for her.”

Donna huffed angrily, crossing her arms over her chest. “He’s stealing B’s coping mechanisms again.”

Keren nodded, closing her eyes. “I’m just happy he can’t completely isolate himself. He spends half his time at home holed up in his room, hiding from me, but he has to come out sometime.”

“When...was the last time he talked to Bruce?” Roy asked.

“Not since Jason died,” Keren said, her tone mournful. “He went to him but...well, we all remembered how he looked after that meeting.”

“Yeah, Dinah saw him and ripped Bruce a new one,” Roy said.

“Good!” Donna exclaimed. “Someone needs to! I swear Dia’s done her best to talk to him, but he refuses to listen.”

“Yeah, Kal’s done his best too but B’s just so deep in his own grief that he refuses to see how badly he’s affected Dick.”

Roy groaned, before he moved so his head was resting in Keren’s lap. “This is such bullshit! Dick deserves better.”

“But he was healing from Jay’s death and Bruce’s reaction,” Keren insisted. “I don’t know what happened recently that made him slide back in his progress, but something has to have.”

Donna sighed as she leaned her head back. “We should get Wally and Garth and stage an intervention.”

“Remember what happened last time we stage an intervention?” Roy scoffed. “Dick didn’t talk to us for a fucking week.”

“Would’ve been longer if there hadn’t been a Titans-related emergency,” Keren pointed out.

Donna winced. “Don’t remind me,” she said. “That was a hot mess.”

Earth-82 Teams, Part II

Teen Titans (Founders) 

Dick Grayson (Robin/Nightwing) - Dick Grayson is the son of circus acrobats, John and Mary Grayson, who were killed when he was eight years old. He was taken in by Bruce Wayne and became Robin the next year. Robin is the most experienced sidekick, having already been a part of the vigilante world for four years before the team formed. He became Nightwing when he was seventeen years and was at this point the de facto the leader of the team, alongside Flamebird, Wonder Girl, and Starfire. 

Donna Troy (Wonder Girl/Troia) - Donna is an orphan that Diana rescued from a burning building and took to Themyscira. Donna was adopted by Queen Hippolyta and blessed by the gods to become immortal herself and to gain all the other attributes of the Amazons. When Donna turned twelve, she convinced Diana to take her to Man’s World. She attended a Justice League meeting, which is where she met and became fast friends with Dick Grayson and Keren Zor-El. She, Dick, and Keren remained friends even as she returned to Themyscira, communicating through letters they exchanged through their mentors. When Donna was fourteen, Dick thirteen, and Keren fifteen they convinced Diana, Bruce, and Clark to let them have a sanctuary of their own, which Bruce produced in New York City and would eventually become Titans Tower. Donna, Dick, and Keren are the three founding and core members of the Teen Titans. 

Keren Zor-El / Karen Starr (Power Girl/Flamebird) - Keren is the eldest daughter of Zor-El and Alura In-Ze, four years older than her sister Kara. When Krypton was about to be destroyed, Keren’s parents put her and Kara into a rocket ship where they would be in suspended animation until they arrived on earth; they were supposed to find Kal and seek shelter on Earth as soon as they landed. They were unlucky though and their ship got damaged and went off-course for twenty-five years before finally landing on Earth, where they woke up to meet Superman for the first time. Keren was furious to see someone wearing her family’s symbol and attempted to attack Superman, screaming at him in Kryptonian. Clark did his best to explain what happened and, once he finally did, Keren was horrified to learn that Kal had grown up without her and Kara, though she was happy Val was there for him. She refused to fully assimilate to human culture and asked that Kal find her and Kara someone to live with that they would not have to hide their identities from (as Keren is only thirteen at the time); Clark decided his childhood best friend Lana Lang and her fiancée Eliza Danvers was the best choice and after she agreed, he approached Bruce for help in establishing fake identities for them as Karen and Kara Starr, Lana’s long lost nieces. 

Roy Harper (Speedy/Red Arrow) - Roy Harper Jr’s his mother, a Navajo woman, died giving birth to him. His father died only a few years later in a forest fire. Roy was raised by his uncle, Broken Bow, until shortly before his uncle’s death when he was twelve. Broken Bow had convinced Oliver Queen, newly recovered billionaire who had been missing for five years, to take Roy in. Because of Oliver’s relationship with Hal Jordan, a member of the Justice League and close friends with Flash, Roy was introduced to Kid Flash when he was fourteen, as Speedy. They became fast--if antagonistic--friends with him and met the rest of the Teen Titans through

Wally West (Kid Flash/Flash III) - Wally is the only child of Rudolph and Mary West, though he was far more likely to spend time at his Aunt Iris’s house. He considers her more of a parental figure than he ever did his actual mom. He later ends up feeling a similar way towards Barry Allen, since he’s been around for as long as Wally could remember. He found out Barry was the Flash when he was twelve (about three months after the new Flash first appeared) and demanded that Barry tell him everything! He decided to try and recreate the accident and was lucky to be chosen by the Speed Force as well. He was allowed to become Kid Flash when he was thirteen, with Iris’s permission. He joined the Teen Titans a few weeks after his superhero debut. Iris and Barry adopted him when he was sixteen, after it was discovered that his father was physically abusive and his mother neglectful.

Garth of Shayeris (Aqualad/Tempest) - Garth is the only son of King Thar and Queen Berra of Shayeris and would have been the crown prince had his parents not been overthrown before he was born. His father was killed and his mother banished to Poseidonis, due to the actions of his uncle - a magician with malicious goals. He was born with violet eyes, which marked him with the potential to become a powerful magic-user in his own right. Unfortunately, magic-users had recently been made taboo within Poseidonis and Garth was cast out. He was found by Princess Mera of Xebel, Xebel being a pocket dimension found within the Bermuda Triangle. Mera convinced her parents to take him in. Xebel had no taboo against magic users which allowed Garth to grow up with no bigotry against him for his potential magical abilities, and Mera (a powerful sorceress in her own right) ended up being the one to train him when he expressed interest in the magical arts. Garth met Arthur Curry when he was ten and Arthur twenty, through the rebellion Xebel had joined to bring down King Orvax and later King Orm, and they quickly bonded. When Arthur later became Aquaman, he offered Garth the position of Aqualad. Garth was the second to last of the founders of the Teen Titans to join.

oh i can definitely see cass liking edm/dubstep! i think she likes anything that’s like. heavy. i can definitely see her liking electronic music in general tbh

karen - pop rock, alternative rock, and hip hop are her favorite genres! i think her current favorite artists are amo-era bring me the horizon, IDKhow, recent falling in reverse, yungblug, 24kgoldn, megan thee stallion, and kyle

Kory was sitting on the counter, her legs spread slightly—leaving Keren the perfect opening to make herself comfortable right in her girlfriend’s space.

“Do you know what’s hot?” Keren asked, wrapping her arms around Kory’s hips and nuzzling her face into the soft crook of Kory’s neck.

Kory didn’t respond verbally, choosing instead to hum curiously. Keren smirked as she pressed a soft kiss to the corner of the her jaw.

“How much taller than me you are,” Keren whispered into her ear, capturing the lobe between her teeth for a brief moment before releasing it.

Kory sighed happily, draping her arms around Keren’s shoulders. “It is rather nice, how well you fit into my arms,” she agreed before leaning down and pulling Keren up into a kiss. Keren moaned into her mouth as Kory tangled one of her hands into Keren’s short, tightly coiled curls.

They were interrupted by Dick saying, “Holy fucking shit, we share a fucking apartment, please keep this shit in your room and not in the kitchen!”

Keren grumbled as she pulled away from the kiss that she had been very much enjoying, thank you very much, to shoot Dick a nasty glare. “How many times have I walked in on you and Kory—or you and Joey—doing this exact same thing? Don’t be jealous just because I got the girl.”

Dick rolled his eyes. “I’m not jealous, you brat. I’m perfectly happy in a relationship with me, myself, and I. And I did my best to keep my making out away from you.” He made his way to the fridge. Kory giggled and jumped down from the counter.

Keren stuck her tongue out at her best friend. “And yet you constantly failed,” she said.

Dick snorted. “Whatever. Just go make out in your room and not in the community spaces.”

“I’ll be sure to remind you of this conversation once you start dating again.”

“I’m positive you will,” Dick said, with an amused sigh.

Keren walked up so she was standing behind the couch and leaned over to set her chin on top of his head and drape her arms around Dick’s shoulders. “Hey babe,” she said. “Why aren’t you ready to go?”

“Go where?” Dick asked. He didn’t look up from his phone.

“To the farm? To celebrate Hannukkah?” Keren asked.

Dick dropped his phone into his lap. “Since when am I spending Hannukkah with you?” he asked, his voice only barely louder than a whisper.

“Since Uncle Bitch kicked you out, duh,” Keren said, rolling her eyes. “How did you not realize?”

“B...didn’t kick me out,” Dick said.

“Dickie,” Keren said, standing up straight. “I’m not having this argument again. You’re coming with. My moms are expecting you, my sister is expecting you, Kal is expecting you. Most importantly, Ma is expecting you.”

Dick chuckled and rolled his eyes. “Don’t emotionally blackmail me like that, Kere, it’s not fair,” he said. “Help me pack?”

Keren leaned back down to press a kiss into his hair. “Of course, shithead.”

“So, when you and Roy get married, I’m gonna be your best man, right?” Keren asked from where she was sitting on Dick’s floor, intently painting her toes.

“I’m getting married? Since when were you choosing my future spouse!” Dick asked, laughing with an alarmed expression in his eyes.

Donna giggled. “Yeah, if anyone’s marrying Roy, it’s obviously going to be me!” she said, puffing her chest out. Dick huffed and lobbed a pillow at her.

“Shut up, Don,” he said.

Keren chuckled, not moving her attention away from what she was doing. “Well, it’s definitely going to be one of you. And since you guys are competing over who it gets to be, I get to be best man, right?”

Dick grinned and shook his head. “Sure, K. If I get married to Roy, you can be my best man.”

Keren pumped a fist. “Wally’s going to be so jealous,” she said. Dick rolled his eyes.

Donna blew a raspberry. “Well, if you two get married then I’ll obviously be Roy’s best friend at that point and I’ll get to be his best man.”

Dick nodded faux-solemnly. “Makes sense to me,” he said, before winking at Donna. She stuck her tongue out at him in return.

Dick threw his arms in the air. “Jason’s always complaining about getting ‘replaced’ and calling me the Golden Boy and I swear I’m going to fucking snap someday!”

Donna puffed out her cheeks and glanced at Keren, who had a similar expression on her face. “Let it all out, sweetheart,” Donna said.

Dick flopped down on the couch next to her. “He refuses to remember that Bruce did the exact same thing to me - except, I wasn’t fucking dead! He kicked me out and then didn’t bother to tell me he was bringing a new kid in. Jason was taken from Bruce and Bruce hasn’t stopped mourning that. Me? Bruce got rid of me.

“Also does Jason not remember how it used to be for me and Bruce? Does he not remember the constant fighting? I understand that he’s been through hell but he refuses to consider that my life hasn’t exactly been smooth sailing either.”

Donna leaned her head on his shoulder and Keren moved seats so she was sitting on his other side and grabbed his hand. “Hey, babe. Remember we’re here for you,” Keren said.

Dick smiled and set his head on Donna’s as he gripped Keren’s hand back. “I really appreciate you guys letting me vent.”

Donna smiled and moved so she could peck him on the cheek. “You deserve it and you’ve done the same for us. Of course we’re willing to listen.”

“Hey ma,” Keren said, leaning down to kiss Lana’s cheek.

“Hi Auntie Lana,” Dick said, a sheepish smile on his face. Lana looked delighted as she yanked him into a tight hug.

“Kere! Dick! Oh, I’m so happy to see you two, it’s been too long since you visited,” Lana said as she released Dick.

Keren ducked her head. “Sorry, ma. We’ve been busy getting the Titans back together.”

Lana flapped her hand dismissively. “Oh shush, girlie. You have superspeed and flight, you could visit me and your momma at any time you wished. But it’s fine, you forget that Clark and I have been best friends for decades. I’m used to superhero nonsense. Especially with the business I got myself into.”

Keren grimaced. “Talking about said business....”

Lana eyes widened and she grinned. “Oh! Do you guys need new suits?” she asked, bouncing on the balls of her feet.

“Yeah. We decided that it was time to grow up and move past Power Girl and Robin,” Keren said. “You’re looking at Flamebird and Nightwing, Blüdhaven’s soon-to-be first ’hero duo.”

Lana hummed. “Oh, you’re moving to ’Haven? Good for you, they need the help! And I like the names, do you have any ideas for designs?”

“Well,” Dick began, pulling a notebook out of his bag. “You could say that.”
