Loveee the HSR Titan lore. Their Kephale (in the Greek Bible head of the church) is Prometheus and he's Atlas. Forging humanity, making fire, holding up the world.

Kevin Kaslana is now Phainon. Who was a man in myth made by Prometheus's hands to be the most beautiful man in all the world.

Prometheus wanted to keep Phainon instead of presenting him to Zeus as he had done the other humans. Some tattling by Eros and Hermes later and Zeus has Phainon. He convinced the young beauty to become a wandering star or as we know it the planet saturn.

Small observations on the nameless faces preview trailer!

i have confirmed at the end of the thread that i will copy paste!

Here we go:

(hsr leaks ARE mentioned!! throughout the thread!! please proceed with caution)

the screenshots are all taken from the new nameless faces trailer! spoilers for that as well :) just some interesting things i noticed from the sequence of coreflame titles/names

From the images above:

1) First sc has Time, Laws, and Space featured; these are the Coreflames of Fate

2) Second sc has Sky, Ocean, and Earth- the coreflames of Foundation

3) This one has Kephale, Cerces, and Mnestia, which are the Titans of Creation, Wisdom, and Romance which are the coreflames of creation.

4) The fourth sc lists Strife, Death, and Trickery, the Coreflames of Calamity. This covers every Coreflame in the game(there are only twelve listed in the Amphoreus teaser trailer, not 13, for those who are thinking of the 13 Flamechasers!

Now for the last two... sections? I'm not sure what to call this sequence exactly!

The fifth sc shows Laws, Space, and Earth, plus Cerces is visible at the bottom right.

The sixth shows Ocean and Trickery, and Kephale very faintly right behind "Ocean".

The rest of this post is going to be several observations, a few theories, and a lot of me guessing and asking questions! Remember- feel free to interact, but be respectful of everyone's ideas.

-The most standout thing when I saw this part was that the Titans of Creation are mentioned directly by name. I have no idea why, but maybe Hoyo doesn't want us to know what these Titans stans for yet? Then again, we already know Aglaea for sure. Maybe it's because these three hold some significance in the story that's different from the others.

-If you look at the scs, there is some overlap between the different "sections" of coreflames (ex law appearing with the coreflames of calamity) but no apparent way to arrange them?? I couldn't create a full image just connecting the screenshots i took above- the overlap would make no sense at all. other than aesthetic choice, I can't think of any reason to make that particular decision- wouldn't it make more sense to introduce each section independently? They could be suggesting relations between the titans, or maybe the Flamechasers, by putting them within different sections other than their own. This doesn't, however, explain the last two screenshots. Their only commonality is that a titan of creation's name is placed in each one- Cerces for 5 and Kephale for 6. Again, I could be overthinking this, but it could suggest a link between those titans and the others listed, but its an interesting detail made even more so by the fact that the coreflames of creation are still being mentioned by their titans names!

-also, why is mnestia being left out? hoyo could have added them in a 9th sc but only included cerces and kephale.

-It's also worth noting that the first three screenshots are set with the "eclipse" from the teaser trailer in the background, and the last three are set with Aglaea in the teaser trailer as the background. This is odd, since Mnestia isn't mentioned in the scs where Aglaea is there, but that could just be Hoyo placing screenshots randomly in the background. It may also indicate some shift that could happen in the story, but that's a bit of a stretch (even though it could explain why there are two shots of ust repeated coreflames, i have no idea if they just wanted to highlight certain coreflames again or something)

-One more thing i wanted to point out was that the calamity coreflames, in their "section" screenshot, has their words going vertically instead of horizontally like everywhere else. Law, which has invaded their section apparently, also does this. This might be because calamity is "going in a different direction" than the other sections, as fate, foundation, and creation are all generally associated with more positivity than, you know, calamity. Again, no idea why law is there- perhaps its flamechaser or titan was affected by calamity significantly? Maybe just an artist choice? who knows.

Breaking down that trailer for the Amphoreus music video for a sec: We know from Mydeimos and Nikador that "Strife" is a keyword for one of the Coreflames of Amphoreus so it's safe to assume the rest of these are keywords in the same vein.

Time - The Titan of Time is probably Oronyx, "the time-weaver", recently revealed in the latest lore trailer.

Space

Law

Trickery

Sky - The Titan of Sky is certainly Aquila, recently revealed in the latest lore trailer. Given her connections to the sky, possibly the Coreflame connected to Hyacine?

Earth

Ocean - While its Titan isn't known this is certainly the Coreflame held by Hysilens, one of the shadowed characters from the initial Amphoreus trailer.

Reason - While this keyword doesn't appear here the Titan Cerces has been called "the Titan of Reason" so given the name schema it's safe to assume theirs is the Coreflame of Reason. Also, probably the Coreflame possessed by Anaxagoras.

Romance - Another keyword only known through its Titan, Mnestia. Aglaea possesses the Coreflame of Romance and gets divine authority from Mnestia.

Death - The Titan of Death is Thanatos, stated outright. Certainly the Coreflame possessed by Castorice.

Strife - The Titan of Strife is Nikador, and its Coreflame seems to still be with them since Mydeimos is "seeking" it instead of possessing it.

Passage - The Coreflame owned by Tribbie is the Coreflame of Passage and their divine authority comes from Janus.

That means we actually know all 12 Coreflames! It's just a matter of connecting dots and learning more about the Titans they come from. It's nice that everything lines up neatly like this!

We don't have a solid connection for which of these connects to Kephale, if any, but if it's one of these I'm putting my money on Earth.

Small white poinsettia, the Tahitian snowball​

The Small white poinsettia (Euphorbia leucocephala) is a very dense and rounded bush, native to Mexico and El Salvador, which during the flowering period is adorned with small white leaves giving it the appearance of a large snowball. This is why it is commonly called Little Christmas Flower, Snowflake, Snows of Kilimanjaro or Fleurit-Noël.

In Tahiti, it is generally called Little white poinsettia in reference to its close relative the Poinsettia which belongs to the same family of Euphorbiaceae which also includes crotons , Christ 's thorns and cassava .

The botanical name of the plant Euphorbia   was given by the husband of Cleopatra's daughter, King Juba II of Numidia (1st century BC) in reference to the name of his personal Greek physician Euphorbia. The word leucocephala has its origins in the Greek words leukos and kephale , meaning "white" and "headed", meaning the white head.

The showy parts of the plant are actually bracts, false white petals, which have the same shape as the leaves but are of different lengths, giving the plant a lacy effect. Small cream-colored flowers with five star-shaped petals surrounding a yellow center are found in the middle of each bract. When the plant is in flower, in June-July in Tahiti, the air all around is filled with a pleasant, sweet, honeyed smell. If flowering is short-lived, the bracts remain white for several weeks before taking on a pinkish hue.

Okay so we have a new Honkai Star Rail Trailer

Let's get into the Greek mythology of it all. (As my interpretation as someone with a classics degree <- yes I paid to study this)

We start with a creation myth as so many myths do. There is a Christianization here. "In the beginning there was light, the titans created heaven and earth" You won't see Titans as heavenly creators in myth. They didn't have their own realm.

But this first creation Titan of Amphoreus is called Kephale. This is interesting it's a Christian word. Well let's step back. κεφαλη literally means 'head' as in the one on your body. But I did a semester with the greek new testament. The head of the church was called the Kephale. This not a word used to refer to anyone in Greek Mythology. They would say King Zeus or Queen Athena yes mortals called all the gods their kings and queens. But I digress. This Kephale molded humans like Prometheus the Titan of forethought and fire. A unification of a calendar right off the bat instead of copying other cultures down and making adjustments as they go interesting...

Countless cities -> city states of course.

Kephale also gets Atlas imagery with holding the dawn on his shoulders. The dawn is also personified in the goddess Eos a Titan herself.

Nikador Titan of Strife... the goddess of strife was Eris it varies in myths if she's a primordial a sister to mother night Nyx or a child of Zeus. Eris's meddling with the golden apple ended up leading to the Trojan war. The name Nike will always be in relation to the goddess of victory so this titan of strife in hsr is named victorious man.

A lot of things going on in Janusopolis. The triple goddess Tribbie (which is usually Demeter, Persphone, and Hecate) is here but they're the fates? But also the oracles? (getting a god's prophecy all prophecies come from Apollo) And the guardians of gateways which is a dominion of Hecate. But they're the also the sisters of fate? But I also know the golden string of fate ended up with Aglaea who is actually named for the charity of radiance (daughter of Zeus servant of Aphrodite). The scales are broken with the eye being slashed through a potential reference to Dike goddess of justice (justice is blind etc)

Oronyx is interesting... so oro means "high place" sometimes "mountain". Nyx is night. High night? Weaving time is not usually the way χπρονος (Chronus Not the Olympian's dad) is depicted as having dominion over time. Hiding in the mists we'll have to see more about this one.

Now grove of knowledge and sages again Apollo's dominion. But here Cerce Titan of Reason... probably in similarity to Circe an enchantress daughter of Helios (the sun). She is most well known for turning Odysseus crew into pigs.

OOOH Star Rail just straight up let Thanatos be Death. I'm so excited about this. Yep guide the souls to the river prefect. Now he's not a Titan. He's a primordial being child of Nyx, but let's not argue semantics. Most people think Hades is the god of death. He's just the book keeper. Thanatos is more like what you'd think the Grim Repear is and they do call him the reaper a protector of the lost. Interesting. So when Sisyphus locked Thanatos up death stopped (hence boulder) I wonder the implications here.

The giant god of the sky is Uranus, who was married to his mom Gaia the Earth. Here it's Aquila I actually just looked this up I was unfamiliar with the name it's Latin for constellation of the Eagle in representation of Zeus. And Zeus is associated with the skys but he's more a weather god than like literal sky which his grandfather was.

As for the black tide Titanomachy was the war that lead to their downfall could be a play on that. The era of Titans has fallen age of hereos begins. The age of heroes is Real. The Trojan war kind of marks the end of this age. I would say Orestes is probably the last actually hero a generation below the Trojan war. Um but anyways Kevin Kaslana is a hero we all know from 3rd impact.

Here he's Phainon which is the Greek word for Saturn. And Phainon was made by Prometheus to be the most beautiful of all men. And he wanted to keep Phainon by his side. But some tattling later and Zeus convinced Phainon to be a wandering star or the planet saturn.

Homalocephale

Now we know Jesus was sent to teach us how to apply the knowledge of the Torah and cover them locusts in honey so their nonsense can be dispersed. Two hints in the Kabbalah and the Gematria tell us how: sandal straps and Holy Baptism.

Within this Gospel are the means to conceptualize freedom from darkness and sin and the way to use the mind to press them, to force them out. Gone forever are the days of washing in the blood and that silly story about Christ dying for our sins. Following, God explains what we need instead is to rinse in the Water and live in the Light.

The famous passage where Jesus transfigures for the first time begins with a foreboding statement, "at that time", meaning the Spirit of God was invoked to give mankind a shove. The statement, Jesus from Nazareth in Galilee in fact means "to probe the flower of the age for the seed", process that begins with baptism in water. Jesus was a Jew. His baptism did not create a new religion or change His Heritage or His ability to communicate the Spirit of the God of Israel to other persons. As we know from the study of the Tanakh, the God of Israel is "human agnostic". His mission was to conquer Rome, a ruthless filthy godless state. In some ways He succeeded. The Values in Gematria are:

There is one God and He is the sun, we are little stars. The appearance of the Christ was to restate convictions man has held since time began about this being: There is but the One God. He is a loner, an original and unique form of life.

Also note that our word μονος (monos) has to do with our word "monarch" and that the Latin equivalent, namely solo has to do with the word for sun: sol. The Greek word for sun is ηλιος (helios), and when we truncate that we get Ηλ (El), or אל ('el), the Hebrew word for God.

In our article on the Greek word κεφαλη (kephale), meaning head or skull, we note that the head is the seat of one's attention and as mobile as the moon. One's most intimate convictions, on the other hand, comprise one's sun, and other people are like the stars. The Hebrew equivalent of κεφαλη (kephale) is גלגלת (gulgoleth), hence the name Golgotha."

v. 10-11. Jesus came out of the water. He was the sun and also its reflection on the surface of the deep. He and God are of the same Torah, as are all persons who leave the water in search of the bread of heaven. The Number is 16468, א‎וד‎ו‎‎ח "...and report."

v. 12-13: At once, the Spirit sent Him into the wilderness. Persons who report are greeted by God who Reports in return. The feeling is unmistakeable. A freedman then goes in search of the unknown. The Gospel says the trek is accompanied by angels and the Devil himself. The Gospels ask us hereafter which should be the boss, what is right or what we want? The answer is found below:

The Value in Gematria is 11212, יאבאב‎, yabab, "the objects of desire."

Yabab "the gangway, the point of entry" is the cry of the suffering: one that can only be quietened through what is called Sisera, "meditation, keen and swift as the horse."

After he was given His water mark, Jesus went to absorb the knowledge of Sisera by meditating for forty days.

The result of Sisera is called Shabbos. Shabbos, "the boss" is little understood by most. Here is an appropriate definition of who is the boss, the angels not the Devil:

If we feed the mind body and blood instead of accurate testimony, wether it is about God or how to play the violin or make a quiche, we will feed the mind what it needs to become an organ of elevation.

Os= an Ace

This suggests that of all humans, small selections have minds with pronounced "sensory" abilities: they are able to detect signals to which the whole of human society ought to respond.

Those of us who are eye-like are able to gather information like scientists, and by using the scientific method. Whatever draws their attention does not necessarily turn the progression of the whole of mankind. But those of us who are ear-like are able to detect the tiniest whispers and subsequently manage to turn to whole of mankind's attention toward it, even when very few actually know what's going on and what we're aiming for.

The eye-like folks are famously familiar to us moderns. We understand their importance and many have developed a kind of superstar status (Curie, Einstein, Hawking) that strongly suggests that the bulk of humankind has no idea what's actually going on. The ear-like folks are those who truly pilot mankind. They are the first to detect signals that the whole of mankind will trail, long before the vast majority of us understand that we're moving, let alone in which direction and for what.

The eye-like folks, brilliant as they are and free to look wherever they want, end up looking mostly into the direction in which the ear-like folks point them.

And who, you ask, are those ear-like folks? Well, in the words of Jesus: "He who has ears to hear, let him hear" (Matthew 11:15). The ear-like folks are those who know what the bulk of people want before they realize it.

People with this gift are able to produce very helpful items (artistic, theoretical and practical) that will guide the whole of humanity toward a place of collective happiness. People with this gift commonly become very rich, as the whole of society rewards them for their guidance.

Still, wealth is no indication of a person's virtue, since many a society has followed their blind guides eagerly into ruin — this theme is overly discussed in stories such as that of the Greek Sirens and the Bible's proverbial Harlot (Proverbs 7:5, Revelation 17:1), whose sensuality made the world's kings and merchants rich (Revelation 18:3)."

Jesus came to teach mankind all the ways wealth and virtue go together to create civil society and redeem it from the flawed ways of its past.

Since the 3.0 livestream has proceeded, we have new trailers and informations regarding Amphoreus.

A few of my drabble theories are :

Mem, the creature following TB, is Elysia/Cyrene (0:41 to 0:50 of the 'Nameless Faces') : When Mem disappears, the girl with pink hair is appearing and her sleeves are identical to Elysia shown in the "Golden Epic")

The stellaron is either the coreflames or in the mountain with the Titan. And by gathering all of coreflames, Phainon will create the stellaron that will blow up the planet : 'Miracle of Genesis' with Genesis evoking the start of all things which started with a big-bang and is in a place looking like the cosmos (big-bang that would destroy Amorpheus before making it back again at the start).

The masked figure at 0:10 and 0:57 of "Nameless Faces" is mostly likely the antagonist of this patch and most likely the one with the flame in 'Gold Epic'.

My more doubted theories

Anaxa might be an Emanator or sort of Emanator of Erudition ( or Finality ?) from the "Golden Epic" is said to have "enough knowledge to fool Fate". What would be Foolish in an Apocalypse ? To not stop it, and as such is seen as a paria (0:33 of "Nameless Faces"). The eyepatch with the symbol of "eye" could could be a nod to Odin who sacrificed his eye for wisdom. But he could be the figure of a prophet.

If we are siding with the ones trying to stop the prophecy (and thus being foolish), we are indicated with Aglae possessing a golden apple (in Greek mythology, the symbol of Eris goddess of discord) and she has the Coreflame of Romance (nodding to Aphordite, the one causing, because of Eris, the Trojan War).

If my theory about Phainon being the hero that would try to save but will destroy the world is true, then it is why the gold image on his torso reminds everyone of Nanook (and not him being Nanook, Nanook has still physical features and apart from the white hair doesn't look like Phainon and mostly comes from Adlivum).

The two paths are revealed to be Remembrance (it was a given, my bad for not obviously saying it in my previous path) and Erudition. I am still convinced that the third will be Enigmata because :

of the etymology and Black Swan saying that the Path are in the balance. The only one that could balance Erudition is Mythus.

The two paths are about the mind and knowledge and Enigmata would be the best thematically.

The Titans seemed to be renamed and have qualities of the Aeons: Kephale for Nous, Oronyx for Terminus and Zagreus for Aha and so on. Soemthing a Riddler might do to confuse others.

The "Do you really not know or are you pretending to not know ?" is a question that could be asked to a Mythus follower since they are making sure to blur History.

In greek tragedies, the heroes are aware of the prophecies but even if they know it they can make it happen. Take Oedipus rex for example, Oedupus kills unknowingly his father and marries his mother. So in a world where they know what is happening, which is the best Aeon to confuse others and make the prophecy happen ? Mythus.

The Titans became mad. Madness is when the mind isn't rational, going again well with the idea of Mythus confusing.

The importance of knowledge not being accessible with all the areas related to it fell to the black tide. The thematic of light being knowledge and darkness being ignorance also.

Literally, the Aeon is named 'Mythus' (as in Myth + us from latin). I mean... It's starting to get obvious.

Prediction : the tragedy of Amorpheus

For this, we will use Black Swan's lines about Amphoreus and try to analyse and probably theorize on what Amphoreus' story will be about.

First of all, we have all the flags abount an antiquity inspired planet : the name of the achievement, the planet's name and so on.

We also know that the planet is only accessible through "the light from the mirror of the Garden of Recollection" and that Akivilli never reached Amphoreus.

So here is my theory : we are going to use the Graden of Recollection's miror to go back in time to when Amphoreus existed/was in better shape.

The keywords from Black Swan are "reached" and that it "only" possible through the Garden of Recollection. We know that the Garden's task is to gather memories to make sure that the universe is remembered after the Destruction. We also know that their members can "freely traverse between worlds, unconstrained by physical limits." (Data bank ; Factions)

We have seen that with Black Swan and the dreamscape : she can freely go from the dreamscape to reality. So that means that they aren't affected by space. But what if they aren't affected by Time either ? Then, only people unaffected by time from the Garden of Recollection could access Amphoreus, and such Akivilli would have never reached Amphoreus.

This would also explain why the Astral Express would never need fuel after that : it would make it a timeless machine, that goes beyond time and space, a paradox. In a more darker turn of events, it could also be the planet's destruction that fuels the Astral Express.

B- The plot

Since the planet must be either destroyed or in a very catastrophic way. I would imagine the story based on the tragedy : the Astral Express will tell the people of Amphoreus that their planet is destroyed, everyone will try so that it doesn't happen but everything has already happened and it will end up destroyed. This mixed in with a "Fall of Rome" kind of context.

Why am I thinking so ?

First, Rome is known for its political history being a mess.

Rome and Ancient Greece are known for their tragedies. Those have usually prophecies that are trying to be escaped but ended up happening anyway. And by the Astral Express coming from the future, they would be the ideal prophetic role.

The japanese name for Amphoreus is Omphalos. And Delphi's was known to be the center of the world, according to the greeks. Delphi is well known for its oracles.

"Eternal Land" isn't used to be literal. Black Swan is a Memokeeper and as such believes that all "world will eventually perish, but they can live on in another way — through Remembrance." (Databank ; factions). And such, Black Swan would be basically using some dramatic irony (mostly used in tragedies) to mock Amphoreus' people. It is how we view Rome's Fall : there were the signs that Rome would fall, yet nobody could stop it.

The planet's destruction would be a political crisis from the three paths (a word of them ahead) with a stellaron at play. My theory would be that one of the paths would want to exploit the stellaron for power linked with the hybris theme (the theme that men always try to be as powerful as gods but end up punished). We could also link it to Cesar's deification signaled by a comet.

Post Scriptum : If the Astral Express aren't the one announcing the planet's destruction, we could have an apparition of the Omen Vanguards, Terminus' followers (since they "They are dedicated to drawing prophecies from Terminus's obscure words.").

Erudition :

For the fact that Ancient Greece had an immense impact on today's intellectual (look at Dr.Ratio's design).

The Genius Society, Nous' followers, are already known to be quite prideful so it would made sense for the hybris theme.

We don't know Nous' creation and ascension to aeonhood. So we could have Nous' followers in that point in time.

"Knowledge comes at the price of suffering." (Fu Xian voiceline Chat : Third Eye) and so, following my idea, it would be the knowledge that the planet will end up destroyed/dead that makes the Trailblazer and the Astral Express suffer.

We need another path for the trailblazer

Mourning Actors :

Their performances are akin to greek tragedies

Like Nous, we do not know when Aha arose to aeonhood.

Despite doing greek tragedies, their philosophy is closer to Pascal's (“Distraction is the only thing that consoles us for miseries and yet it is itself the greatest of our miseries.” ; replace Distraction with Elation and you have it.). And Pascal also has some quotes about truth. I wouldn't be surprise if we see Mourning Actors get inspiration in Amorpheus.

Enigmata :

Purely out of opposition to Erudition, first and formost.

The romans were well-known to copy the greeks (even in their mythology) yet hate them. So Enigmata being opposite to Nous would fit the bill but also Rome could be replaces with Enigmata : taking history and changing it.

There is the sentence of erasing someone from History known in ancient history and it would fit the Enigmata pretty well.

Enigmata has been hinted through Gallagher in Penacony and Hoyo doesn't show us something just for the sack of it.

Enigmata could be seen as an easy antagonist for the arc. (And if we follow my idea, Nous' followers would be the one creating their demise)

Side note : Beauty is a path that I have seen mentioned in theories and could be (since Aeneas, the founder of Rome, is seen as the son of Aphrodite, goddess of love ). Though I have to say that it wouldn't fit with the idea of "balance" because it doesn't have a counterpoint.
