SURPRISE! Kep1er renewed their group contract with Wake One, but Mashiro & Yeseo will be (re)joining LIMELIGHT per their individual company's policy. Still better than nothing? (I feel like I have simple tastes but also ask for too much at the same time.) While I didn't like "Shooting Star" as much as I thought, there were plenty of other amazing B-sides that I like, with the best one being "Double Up!" (this honestly should've been the title track) It's like a mix of "Up!" & "We Fresh". The girls need to perform this song at least once during the promotion period!

As for my other favorite B-sides:

"Flowers, Flutter, Your heart": I love bittersweet HYPER ballads (emphasize on HYPER).

"PROBLEM": This sounds like a 2000s song! The only problem that Kep1er has is Mashiro & Yeseo being absent from future extended promotions. (Haters can step aside.)

"Straight Line (KOR Version)": The Korean version is just as good as the Japanese version! (although some parts don't exactly rhyme) The girls should perform this at least once during their promotion period as well.

Unless there's legitimate news that Wake One somehow got Kep1er's group contract extended, then this upcoming Japanese album will be the girls' final Japanese comeback before they disband in July 2024 (like how IZ*ONE's final Japanese release was also a full album). I can't believe I'm saying this, but "Straight Line" is the first & only Japanese original title track that I like! It's like a mix of "MVSK" & "Love on Lock" (which I wish also had a Japanese version). Even though most of the album will have songs from previous single CDs, you can tell a lot more budget was pitched into filming this MV. Why does this always happen when disbandment is near?!
