Scarlet red creeped from his neck up to his face. He stares at you with a bewildered look, unable to comprehend your 'ridiculous' request.

"H-huh?! Y-you want t-to... s-sleep... my l-lap... are you insane?! Stop acting like an idiot!" he shrieked as he scooted back to the edge of the bench.

He tried. He swears to the mightiest God or Goddess up there that he tried his absolute best to stay firm. He tried to kept a stern posture while you're looking at him like a kicked puppy.

After all, laying on people's lap in broad daylight on school ground is too lovey-dovey! too scandalous!

What would everyone think?! What would his FATHER think?!

But his resolution dwindling as rapidly as it could when you asked him again. This time fully utilizing those puppy-eyes to its maximum capacity.

"F-Fine! Just do whatever you want!" he snapped with an angry tone as he finally scooted closer and slumped his back against the bench, grabbing his abandoned book and flipping it to random page.

His mind is gearing at a rapid pace as he tried to calm his nerves, his damaged eyes now started to feel itchy. That's fine though, just act as if you didn't care and all would be fine, right?

The rumble in his mind shatters when he finally felt that soft pressure against thighs. He, embarrassingly, lets out a high-pitched low screech and he almost bang his nape to the bench.

"I-Idiot! Stop moving around so much!" he barked weakly as he squirmed in his seat, while you simply nuzzle onto his thighs. Uncaring of his outward misery.

He swears to God you'll make him die from heart attack one of these days…

He gulped, face scarlet red and teeth gritting as he stares down at your peaceful expression. His brain fixated onto your facial features, silently making it his new fixation.

His hand moves to move the strand that is in the way of your face. And his index finger accidentally brush against your lips...

Your face will ended up being littered with a bunch of tiny shred of paper. Because the man above you is apparently too nervous and ending up grinding down on his book with his teeth.

The one and only Charles Contini is, in fact, not fine. His face is currently match that of a boiling hot kettle.

His body trembles, hand almost dropping his phone as he attempts (but failed) to gave you his meanest death-glare.

But you didn't care. You just swing your head on his thigh mischievously then get your head back inside his shirt, doing whatever you want.

His other hand desperately yanked the fabric of your clothes, teeth gritting and in the break of speaking to his mother on the phone he mouthed to you a word 'please', his lips is now visibly trembling.

You, somehow had managed to make him hate talking to his mother right at this moment.

"Y-yeah yeah... Mama, I reallly think I gotta-Hhhah... Y-yeah really, I'm fine... I swear I'm fine! N-now Igottagobyeeee-" click, finally the torture is over.

He exhales loudly as he plopped his body on the bed. He rolled his body to the side, forcefully ripping you out of his lap. He mumbles, "You're unbelieveable," as he rubbed his face with his palm.

You though, didn't care. You simply take a peek to his face with a smug look on your face, clearly satisfied. Fueling his irritation more.

Out of nowhere though, the tables has turned. He startling you by moving so fast and now you're pinned down on the bed, with him on top of you.

He smirked at you, tilting his head to the side. He looks so menacing... and hot.

"Mama said that I shouldn't play rough with others... but," he purrs quietly as his hand roamed to your sides, and his other hands pick up the strand of your hair and brings it to his mouth, giving it a peck.

His head leans closer, breath brushing againts the skin of your neck and he let out a low chuckle. Your reaction is simply too adorable.

"... I think a punishment is due, don't you think?"

"I-is this okay? Are you comfortable?" he stutters nervously, both of his hand hovers awkwardly over your relaxes figure on his lap, not knowing where to put it.

He snapped out of his turmoil when you mentioned that his shaking hand is currently sweating a river, and it's dripping down on you.

"Huh?! I'm sorry! I didn't mean to please don't hate me-" please guide this poor lad. He never done this with anyone ever before. He's seriously gonna combust into acid mess!

His jitter and stutter earning him a few sore spot in his tongue due to him accidentally biting into it when trying to talk or move. It's a wonder that he managed to NOT bite it off.

His breath hitches when you grabbed his hand gently and guide it to rest flat on your hair, telling him to try playing with it as a start. THIS IS THE START?!

He swears if he accidentally hurt you he'll yank his limb off.

As the time passed by though, he started to calmed down as his mind focused on each strand of your hair. A faint blush tinted his cheek and by the time you realized it, he's in the middle of braiding your hair into a tiny parts. All the time checking your facial expression for any sign of discomfort.

His eyes rounded into what seemed like a doe-eye and his face relaxed, the corner of his mouth is quirked upwards into a small smile. He seems happy... until-

"WHAT'CHA LOOKING AT?!" He suddenly barked with eyes glaring to the side. Panicked, your head follows his direction and you saw his gang standing over there with face full of variation of expression.

Before you managed to speak your mind, your boyfriend's voice boomed across the place as he barked the word "SCRAM", making those group of teens scramble away into obscurity, almost stumbling onto each other.

"They're so noisy, I swear to God..." he mumble quietly, his eyes trailing back to meet your surprised expression. He avert his eyes shyly and he's back to his previous mode, stumbling over his word.

"I-I'm sorry, you must be surprised right?" he stated meekly as his hand silently encouraging you to lay back on his lap. "It's just my friends, they're being noisy as per usual. I hope I didn't scare you..."

Honestly, the duality of this man is mind-boggling.

"Calm down, no one's gonna now," he said nonchalantly, patting your hair without looking at you as his hand flipped through the pages of his module.

The both of you are in the library right now, and as it should be; nobody should be flirting in the library. Getting caught holding hands in itself will earn the culprit an one-day ban from accessing the library.

But did your boyfriend care? Of course not.

Because if he cares you wouldn't be in this situation right now; head pressed down onto his lap with one hand while he busying himself, studying for finals.

He reasoned that your love is his 'battery', therefore you should be 'charging him'. Whatever that means.

Sometimes he'll look down on his lap to check on you. He'll pinch on your cheek to make you look at him and he'll blow you a kiss. With a face devoid of any emotions.

Though his face seems stoic, he's actually secretly gushing inside his mind. He swears that that your misery flustered face is so adorable! That blushing cheek, wavering eyes... it brings warm to his chest.

All of that gushy-mushy inside his mind, while you're nervously checking around the room. Afraid to find the librarian striding in without any time for you to react.

The both of you have been banned from the library for far too many times. And finals week is not the ideal time for that to happen.

Noticing your distress, he closed his eyes and sighed softly. His hand relaxed and he stopped putting pressure onto your head. Giving you a chance to finally scrambled out of his lap and act normal!

But that's too boring for him.

That's why now he wrapped his hand around your shoulder and pulling you closer. Effectively making you lean on his shoulder.

But that's not enough for him, no! so he uses his hand to tilted your head upwards, making you face him while he leans closer to rubbed the tip of his nose to yours. Enjoying the reaction he earned from you.

"Rest assured, my angel," he mumbled quietly, intentionally breathing through his mouth so it would brush onto your lips. "After all, our love is always stealthy, it will flies under the radar." yikes

You might be hallucinating but you swear that you saw a glimpes of his lips quirked upwards slightly as he leans closer slowly, tilting his head, almost touching your lips...

"Are you bored, my dear?" his voice is calm and soothing as he push the strand of hair that is in your face to the side, his other hand is brushing through the back of your hair gently.

He look to the side and stares at his fishing equipment that he put up by the edge of the river. It's been an hour and no fish has taken the bait yet.

He's not surprised though. Fishing is a long, waiting game after all. Especially if one decides to not use a lure. For him though, that's what makes it even more satisfying if he managed to catch one.

You lay on the grass with your head on his lap. Moaning and groaning about 'stupid fish not knowing what a fine cuisine is'. A low chuckles escapes his mouth, muffled by the tube in his mouth.

"Well, it's indeed taking longer than usual for fish to take my bait. I'm experimenting with the new bug after all," and that made you pouted. Something that he adores the most.

He's always hesitant to bring you with him fishing, knowing that you'll not be entertained. But for some reasons you always insisting on coming along, and every time his lap always ended up as your pillow.

Not that he minded though. You seemed relaxed and content as you nuzzle onto his thigh. And that's all he wanted, for you to be comfortable around him.

Not many people can bear to look at his... face. People often stated that 'it's the face that can only be loved by his mother'.

Not you though... you seems to think that his face is ethereal, as if he's one of Michelangelo's masterpiece. He never knew why you seems to think that way... but it warms his heart.

You suddenly shrieked, almost making him jump to defensive position and activate his magic. He frantically look to the side and his eyes widened when his fishing rod had finally started to twitch.

He moves away as you woke up from his lap and quickly keep a hold to the fishing rod, slowly reeling it in and strategically stopped to not startle anything that is currently taking his bait.

Meanwhile his heart thump against his chest, hearing you yelling encouragements to him as if you're a cheerleader.

And... voila! It's a baby catfish.

He stares at the wiggling little fish at the end of of his rod with a deadpanned expression, while you currently laughing your ass off.

He looks towards your direction, and he was stunned in silence as he stares at your amused face. It was simply... beautiful.

He knew his hobby is boring for you. But if it can make you laugh like this... he hopes you'll never get bored coming along with him.

He feels serene, at peace, all because of you.

L O V I E R O S E Q U A R T Z ⚡

"Oh, Hi... sorry, but Lévis is not here" he greets you with a soft voice as you come to his room, closing the book he's been reading and giving you his full attention as you walked to his bed.

His eyes widened in surprised when you, as usual, told him that you're here to hang out with him. A faint blushes painted his cheek as he let out a sweet laugh, "Oh, of course! please, come sit by me. I was starting to get bored myself."

He never gets used to you visiting him for some reasons. Even after a year of him being sick and losing his magic, he never did.

After being bedridden, it's rare for him to met people other than Lévis. His father never even consider him exist anymore, deeming him to be a defective product.

Maybe the last time he met his father was more than half a year ago? when he dragged him to this room?

All of that didn't surprised him though, he was just happy that his brother didn't meet the same fate as him. He believes all of this happen as a karma for never tried to stand up for his brother.

For you to stick around and visiting him every other weekend though, just to hang out with him and nothing else, is never failed to surprised him. I mean, why? he was weak now, everybody leaves, why won't you?

He giggles as he scoots a bit to give you space. As per usual, you'll get on his bed and put your head on his lap. Hugging his thin thigh in a koala grip as if it's your lifeline.

The pressure was a bit too tight, but it was fully welcomed. The extra warmth from your body is radiating and creeping to his heart, warming the negative thoughts away.

"How was school? anything interesting?" he questioned while brushing his hand to your hair, and his sweet smile never fades as he listens to your story. His eyes radiating with adoration as he stares down at you.

For him, your story was always interesting. Even if all you gonna talk in your entire visit is only about the shitty new cafeteria menu you had on school, it was all very interesting for him.

If you mentioned about his smile towards you, he'll giggle and cup your cheeks before giving your lips a small peck, "It's because I love you so much. You're so cute!"

Any reactions you gave him after that will earned you more peck for him. Don't scoot away from his lap though, he'll be sad! and he'll use his entire energy if he should to drag you back to his lap.

In his weakened state, all whom stay by his side other than Lévis is only you. For him, you're the breathe of fresh air in this cramped, lavish space.

Your existence stuck in his mind, and it's what keeps him going through the day as he dealt with the illness in his body.

As he pressed his forehead on top of yours, he mutters a soft 'thank you' before sighing, enjoying your presence by his side.

He'll trade everything in the world, for you to stay by his side... forever.

By the way, Lévis is currently outside of his room the entire time, holding a tray of food, wondering if he should go in and become a cockblock or not.

I put Lovie in as a curve ball because I'm curious on how I myself would interpret a character that only appeared in the few panels. But unexpectedly Malcolm ended up being the hardest one. I paused writing for a day just because of him lol.

Being the last one to get in, (M/n) closed the door and found a comfortable spot near Kenny, not really interested in anything else other than taking care of his best friend for the whole duration of this trip.

He almost couldn't believe he found himself involved in David's problems just because Kenny wanted to be part of the plan, and then that girl, Casey, joined in as well. She was -somewhat responsible- for everything that happened, at least in the way (M/n) viewed it.

If she had been getting robbed somewhere else, Kenny wouldn't have gone out to help her, and then it comes to the part where, if she hadn't run away from her parents' house, nothing would've happened.

But oh well, it was too late and useless to put the blame on everyone other than David. He was the drug dealer in the first place, he should've known better than to get between the robbers and the girl getting robbed.

In all honesty, he just didn't want to get Kenny into anything dangerous, perhaps he tried too hard. But no way was he gonna let Kenny go, all by himself, with someone like David Clark. Rose might be nice at times, but (M/n) never got along with her... And that was probably because Kenny was, somewhat, attracted to the older woman.

Well, there's no point in dwelling in the past, they're already wrapped in this whole mess. And he's winning fifty thousand dollars out of this job.

David was freaking mad when he heard him, "50k?! What do you need so much money for?! You're just a kid!"

"I need to pay for my and Kenny's university fees, David, so you pay me... Or I'll tell your boss and... The DEA," in the end, they made a deal.

And now, he was stuck in a situation that could've easily been avoided, but Kenny always had that "hero complex", he wanted to help and save everyone but alas it rarely ever worked, he might be over 6 feet tall, but he looks too innocent and naive still, so no one finds him intimidating.

"See? Even this loser here wants to see them!" The sound of Casey's voice caught his attention, and he looked up to glare at her. He was about to get up and make her apologize for calling Kenny "loser", but she started chanting 'fireworks!' over and over again.

And David didn't like that, at all. He stopped the trailer and turned on his seat to look at every one. He didn't pay much attention to what was happening, and ultimately, decided to turn back to his phone, and his music.

After that, they continued with their way, but not without lighting up a single firework that (M/n) didn't bother coming out to watch.

The four of them looked around the place, seeing all the drugs that had to be loaded in the trailer. It was definitely more than just a smidge... They were fucked, genuinely.

"Kenny, (M/n)... Watch the pot," and David left, along with Rose and Casey. (M/n) huffed and crossed his arms over his chest.

"I'm gonna kill that stupid old man..." (M/n) mumbled to himself as they left and got in the RV again, along with a basket of fresh fruit brought in by Kenny, ready to cross the border back to the country. But of course, things weren't going to go smoothly when you had someone like David driving.

They were stopped by a cop, who thankfully accepted bribery but... They didn't have that money, at least not yet, but the officer was open to taking another kind of bribery. And of course, David saw his way out of this whole ordeal, only to have his dreams crushed when he was informed that...

The officer wasn't straight.

"Serves you right, asshole," (M/n) felt Kenny lightly tapping his shoulder, in a way to tell him to stay quiet or not say that about Mr.Clark, but he couldn't care less.

Ever since (M/n) found out Kenny had a drug dealer as a neighbour, he's made it his duty to stay with him and protect him from David, Kenny was too nice to see the bad in others, hence why he got picked on a lot in school, however, (M/n) was always there to stand up for him. It's been that way since they were kids, and he wasn't gonna stop now.

"Alright, Kenny... You're up," David stood up from his seat and took Kenny out of the RV, of course, (M/n) panicked and followed after them.

"Are you fucking serious, David?!" He walked out, screaming in rage, and David rolled his eyes, done with (M/n)'s attitude.

"Yes, I am serious, he can get us out of this mess-" (M/n) stood in front of Kenny, standing up to protect him.

"The mess that you got yourself involved in, so maybe you should go suck mister officer off yourself, instead of asking a kid to do it for you!" Kenny looked back and forth between his best friend and his fake dad, unsure of what to do, "He's not gonna do it."

"I'm not a kid-"

"Then I'm sure you can take his place," (M/n) stayed silent for a few seconds, his jaw clenched as he glared at David, glancing over his shoulder to stare at the police officer, waiting at a safe distance from them, "I doubt you would want Kenny to get arrested because you couldn't do something he could've done easily."

He took a few deep breaths, closing his hands tight in fists, "Fine... I'll do it."

"No, (M/n), you don't have to-" Kenny held (M/n)'s wrist, trying to pull him back, making the (h/c) haired male turn toward him.

"It's okay, Kenny, go back inside-" he glanced at David and saw him tapping his wristwatch, mouthing 'tic, tac' at him, "Just go back inside, please... Casey!" He called for the teen girl who stood by the open door next to Rose, "Don't let him out," while he dragged Kenny back into the RV, he ignored the blond's complaining, saying he could do it, that he didn't have to do this for him, but (M/n) ignored him and turned back to look at David, who had a smirk on his face.

He walked closer to him until they were face to face, and he glared at the old man.

"Make sure you add 10k to the fifty you owe me, asshole," and his smirk was gone, replaced by a frown.

"Depends on how good you do, kid," they began walking closer to the officer, and he could faintly hear Kenny calling for him from inside the RV, "Now, this what you're gonna do-."

"I know what I have to do old man," David looked at him with raised eyebrows but (M/n) didn't realize.

"Hey! What's going on?" The officer came by and stopped in front of them, "Somebody sucking my dick or am I getting a thousand pesos?"

(M/n) looked at the officer and then back at David, who looked baffled at the new word he heard, "Pesos? You are a fucking idiot!"

(M/n) paced around annoyed, watching how David gave a hundred bucks to the officer, who left them be after blowing him a kiss. He felt shivers down his spine and turned around, stumping his way back to the RV, where Casey and Rose had been waiting for them to come back.

He opened the door and walked past Kenny, heading to the back of the trailer and finding a comfortable spot to sit on. A few minutes later, he got bored of his phone and Kenny came in, sitting next to him.

"Thank you for... Taking my spot, you didn't have to do that, (M/n)," he looked at Kenny from the corner of his eye, slowly turning to look at him, shrugging it off as if it was nothing, "Were you really going to...? Y'know, suck him off?"

Kenny's question almost made (M/n) laugh, "Well, my plan was to punch him hard enough until he passed out so we could escape but... Didn't have to do that after all."

(M/n) and Kenny were having fun in the back playing games on their phones together, when Casey came up to them with the Mexican sombreros.

And apparently, there was another RV right next to them, so she was ushering them to come out and be together.

"We're David and Rose Miller," he looked back and saw the three teens behind them, "My daughter, Casey," she leaned over to wave 'hello', "My son, Kenny, and his best friend, (M/n)."

Both of them leaned too, one less enthusiastic than the other, (M/n) wasn't good at meeting new people, he closed off easily in public so he hoped this was the only interaction they were gonna have with this family.

"Oh, it's so nice that you brought your son's best friend! I'm sure they are having fun together!" The lady in the other trailer exclaimed, as if moved by David's kindness, but judging by the smirk on his face, (M/n) knew he was gonna say something irrelevant.

"Well, his parents hate him and they're never home, so we took that role for them," David glanced back at him, ignoring how awkward he made the atmosphere with the unknown family next to them.

"Fuck you," he whispered in response and sat back down in one of the empty seats at the front.

Finally, it seemed like things were going by smoothly, but the car at the front was found with a pot, so now they had to wear their sombreros and smile wide like idiots just to pass as a nice family who came back from their vacation in Mexico.

But well, not everything seemed to be going to shit, seeing how illegal immigrants were crossing the border so the guards had more important stuff to worry about at the moment, so they made their way back into the RV and continued their way.

(M/n) put his phone to charge and sat next to Kenny, thinking of maybe taking a nap until they arrived, when David turned on the radio and Waterfalls began playing. He fixed his sitting position and looked at Kenny, knowing it was his favourite song, and he waited patiently to hear him sing and rap along with it.

Moments like this with Kenny, chill and lighthearted, never failed to enhance his feelings for him. Despite knowing how wrong it was to like his best friend as something more, (M/n) didn't really mind it, he could take the unrequited love any day if it was Kenny.

(M/n) was looking out the window of the RV, lost in thought, completely unaware of how Rose, Casey and David were talking about Kenny, watching him talking to Melissa, the only child of the Fitzgerald family they found themselves camping with.

"She would be the luckiest girl..." The three of them stopped talking when they heard (M/n), watching Kenny with a sad look in his eyes, "He just has to be brave and say it."

David made eye contact with Casey and Rose, who shrugged and remained quiet, "I thought you liked Kenny?"

(M/n) scoffed a humourless laugh, trying to sound cheerful but failing, "Yeah... He's not into guys, believe me, I've tried, so..." He took a deep breath and looked down at his hands, "I don't know, kinda gave up."

After that, the air got a little tense, until Rose convinced David to go out there and talk to Kenny, help him a little and (M/n) stood up, sitting on the steps of the RV as the door remained open, staring up at the night sky.

"Count to three and then do it, because you're gonna overthink it and that... Will drive you crazy," well, that wasn't a half bad advice coming from someone like David. (M/n) watched how the old man got up and Rose walked next to him, stepping out of the RV.

And there was Kenny, making his way back inside.

"Hey, you good?" He stood up and walked in, closing the door behind them and sitting on the empty sofa. Casey was sitting across from them, blasting her music and staring at her phone, "I saw... What happened with Melissa."

Kenny shifted awkwardly, but he noticed (M/n) wasn't looking at him, he was staring at the floor. Then he remembered how (M/n) had dated quite a few people so maybe he could explain to him what he could do, even if he got advice from David, someone his age, and his best friend, would give better advice. Or so he thought.

"Can you help me, (M/n)?" Kenny watched how he froze in place and slowly looked up at him, making eye contact, "Teach me how to kiss-"

He hurried to cover Kenny's mouth before he could keep talking, glancing over at Casey who was still minding her business, even so, (M/n) decided to drag Kenny to the back room of the RV, he didn't want her to hear and make fun of his best friend just because he hadn't had his first kiss yet.

They sat together and after making sure no one was coming with them, he looked at Kenny, a serious expression on his face.

"You want me... To teach you how to kiss?" (M/n) watched how he nodded frantically, licking his lips nervously, something that he didn't miss, although he tried to not make it obvious that he was staring at Kenny's glossy lips, "You know there's nothing I can teach you unless... I physically teach you, right?"

At that, Kenny seemed a little more hesitant, and (M/n) wanted to smack himself because he might've ruined his only chance to ever kiss Kenny, so he decided he was gonna count to three, and then say it. One... Two... Three.

"If you really wanna kiss Melissa I can teach you, it... Doesn't have to mean anything," (M/n) shrugged in a way to appear more nonchalant, but the truth is, his heart felt ready to burst, "We've been best friends for over ten years, a kiss is not gonna change that, Kenny."

"But... I don't want my first kiss to be with a guy," okay, that was kinda painful, but at least he didn't say he didn't want to do it because it was him.

(M/n) tried to come up with an excuse, something easy that could ease Kenny's nerves... Oh, he got it, "Well, we can just pretend it never happened, that way your first real kiss will be with Melissa," he chuckled in a way that seemed real, and he was glad Kenny bought his excuse and was convinced.

"If you put it like that..." Kenny looked at (M/n), seeing how he was patiently waiting for his response, "Okay," he sighed and fixed his sitting position, feeling incredibly tense.

(M/n) noticed and laughed, a real laugh, and turned to slightly face Kenny, placing his hands on the blond's shoulders, "Hey, relax, kissing a guy is no different than kissing a girl, alright?" Kenny nodded and took a deep, shaky breath, his body loosing up and shifting around to face (M/n) as well, "We'll stop when you feel like stopping, okay? Don't wanna scare you too bad."

He didn't want to admit that, in reality, (M/n) was trying to calm himself, he was beyond excited and scared shitless, he felt like he was gonna throw up from how much his stomach was tingling, and it felt like it was stuck in his throat, and he could only hear the sound of his heart pounding in his ears. He was getting dizzy, the thought of getting to kiss Kenny, his best friend, and one-sided love made him extremely happy.

But it won't mean anything to Kenny, while it will be a dream come true for (M/n).

Despite all the experience he's had kissing girls and guys alike for the past few years, nothing could compare to this moment in time, he never felt his way, not even when he had his first kiss.

"Alright, first of... Close your eyes," Kenny squirmed while mumbling 'ah, yes', and closed his eyes. (M/n) could see how much he was shaking, whether it was because he was nervous or scared, he didn't know, all (M/n) knew was what he was feeling as he slowly leaned closer to Kenny, "You ready?" He whispered so as to not scare him, and he watched how he slowly nodded.

(M/n) leaned in and pressed his lips on Kenny's, his eyes closing as he closed his hands tightly, resisting the urge to hold his face and kiss him over and over again.

After a few seconds, Kenny backed away, and (M/n) was scared he might've done something wrong, "That's it?" He couldn't hold back his chuckle.

"Well, that was a peck, not really a kiss..." Kenny nodded and shifted closer to (M/n), "Kenny?"

"Can we do it? A kiss?" Oh my- the way Kenny's voice sounded and how he was looking at him with those green eyes almost made (M/n)'s brain short-circuit.

"S-sure, this is... Me teaching you how to kiss after all, you have to learn..." (M/n) felt himself getting more nervous when he realized Kenny was the one leaning in now.

"Can I try something?" Feeling Kenny's hand gently holding his face sent shivers down his spine, even if his touch was warm against his skin.

Scared of stuttering and letting Kenny know how this whole situation actually affected him, (M/n) nodded, feeling proud that Kenny would want to take the initiative this time around, even if it was at the expense of his poor heart.

And he soon felt Kenny's lips pressed on his again. He took a deep breath through his nose and closed his eyes, relaxing under Kenny's hold and letting him take the lead and set the pace. Although, as he was still learning, it was getting a little messy, so (M/n) couldn't help but let a small smile grow on his face, reaching his hand up to hold to Kenny's wrist, pulling away the slightest bit, their lips gracing and breaths mixing.

"Easy, no need to rush..." (M/n) noticed how rapid Kenny's breath was, and he pressed their foreheads together, "Breath slowly and through your nose, okay? You're doing good."

"Really?" Kenny's voice trembled and for a moment (M/n) thought there might be a possibility of him enjoying his kisses, but he didn't let that thought last, pushing it away where it wouldn't cause hope to rise.

"Really," and with that, Kenny held (M/n)'s face in both his hands, leaned in the few inches keeping them apart, and kissed again.

Their lips moved slowly against each other, and (M/n) tried to prevent his body from trembling at the sensation of Kenny's lips and touch on him, keeping his breathing as steady and levelled as he could while his mind and heart were racing against each other. His mind told him this was wrong and it would only cause him more pain when Kenny got together with Melissa. But his heart...

His heart told him to enjoy this moment they were having together, treasure it and never forget how gentle and sweet Kenny's kisses felt like.

After a few minutes, they pulled away, trying to steady their breathing the best they could, "Was that good?" (M/n) whispered, slightly pulling back to look into Kenny's eyes.

"Yeah..." He mumbled, as if he was in a daze, his sight stuck staring at (M/n)'s lips, "Can we keep going...?"

He almost choked with his spit, but he managed to hide it, and he nodded, "I told you... We'll stop when you feel like it, Kenny."

"Good, 'cause I don't want to stop."

The kisses that followed were more intense, more needy, filled with want and... Perhaps desire, maybe even a spark of love.

Kenny almost didn't want to admit it, but (M/n) was an amazing kisser, and he found himself just wanting more of him- of his best friend, completely unaware of how his thoughts regarding Melissa had completely abandoned his mind long ago. Summary:  You moved to south park in the 4th grade. You weren't expecting what came next. After seven years of friendship you were about to make a move but what happens when Cartman's OTP gets in the way of what you desire most.

Notes:  Overall Kenny x reader but also some Craig x reader, I wrote this over a decade ago but I'm feeling nostolgic, this was written for a friend a long time ago

It was finally the talent show and you were back stage looking at the audience from one of the alcoves and you instantly find Kenny, Kyle and Stan. You also located Clyde and Craig not that they were of any importance but thanks to Craig you picked out the real song you were going to be singing.

“(Y/N) you should start getting ready now and by that I mean sit in the chair so I can do your make up.” Bebe said and Wendy set everything they needed on the table. Yesterday they didn’t like your dress so in the end they did take you shopping. They said your dress made you look like you were attending a funeral. They picked out something more, showy but at least you thought it was cute. Once they were done you looked in the mirror.

“Hehe my work here is done.” Bebe said happily while Wendy added “Now go break a leg and kill it.”

“Thank you guys.” You smiled and waved as they left.

 Shortly after the talent show started and Jimmy was nowhere to be seen. First up was Billy turner, who did terrible. Next were the Goth kids, who actually were pretty good. After that were the magic team of Clark and Laura, you didn’t really pay attention to them though. Butters you felt bad for because he pee’d himself. Ike went before Cartman for some reason even though in the order of the show they passed out his name was after Cartman’s.

It was finally Cartman’s turn. You smiled and as he approached the stage you said break a leg and he put on a fake smile and went on stage.

Kyle and Stan turned to Kenny who just gave them a thumbs up. As soon as he started to sing it everyone in audience gasped and stayed silent. Everyone's jaw was on the floor, as Cartman walked back off stage. 

"Beat that bitch." Cartman said to you as Mr. Mackey walked up to him "Saying the F world is not mmmm'kay! Cartman you have detention for a week. You’re disqualified!" With that Cartman was dragged away by the ear. Now that the plan worked out it should be smooth sailing from here on out. You took a deep breath before you were handed the mic and walked on stage slowly as the intro to your song played.

Craig instantly recognized the song and a light grin graced his face, Clyde looked at the rare occurrence and smiled "So this girl managed to break your wall huh" Clyde thought to himself and listened to the song. Kenny didn't see (Y/N) anymore he saw an Angle from heaven, "She's so perfect" he whispered to no one in particular   

“OMG! Why didn’t you tell us that you could sing like that!” you just giggled “No one asked”

“And last we have Jimmy” Who gets a boner and runs off stage. “Well now the judges will take a few minutes to score the contestants. And it looks like we have the results. In third place we have the magic duo of Clark and Laura. In second place the Goth kids. And now in first place, (Y/N)! Congratulations to all the winners and let’s give it up one more time for all the performers!”

You did it! Yay you! You met up with Kenny, Kyle and Stan “That was awesome!” you gave them all hugs and Kenny gave you a rose that was from all of them “Thanks you guys!”

Craig and Clyde walked up to you while you were still talking with the guys “Hey (Y/N) that was a good show. Here’s the money from the bets by the way.” You looked at him confused “And why are you giving it to me?”

“Don’t you know that you get 10% of all the bets that were placed against you where else do you think the money goes? Plus I was the one marketing all the bets and if I didn’t do this much people would start talking” Fair enough you guess. Considering no one else said anything this must happen often.

“Okay well thanks I guess. Also thank you Craig.” 

Craig just nodded and started to walk away again and Clyde had to catch up to him again. The other three boys just stared at you wondering why you thanked Craig. “Honestly I will never understand but I don’t care we should go out for ice cream with my winning money!”

Backstory

Kenneth Clarke has always been a shy boy. All of his friends growing up had been Connie's who allowed him to come along. He's never been all that good at talking to people. Even when his father thought of sending him to Camp Know Where, Kenny struggled. He enjoyed camp and all the things he got to do there, and he even went back enough times to be a counselor when he was old enough, making enough relationships to not be totally alone but it isn't near his sister's level.

To Connie's credit, she has always tried to include him in her activities to varying degrees of success, and Kenny has always appreciated that. She did manage to get him involved in Drama, at least on the technical side.

Kenny has known how he's felt about boys for a while but, like many things, does not really know how to navigate it. He has not told his sister or father about it.

‘Footloose’ by Kenny Loggins played loudly through the sound system of your yellow convertible as you drove through the streets of Hawkins, a huge smile plastered on your face as you sang along. Usually, you weren’t this smiley, but Hawkins looked extremely promising so far. You could tell your parents’ eyebags disappeared as soon as you arrived here and even your kid sister wasn’t as moody as usual. It seemed that even stepping foot into this town was a blessing. The place wasn’t packed full of interesting scenery, but it was good enough for you. It was much quieter than your previous home, Fort Wayne. A content sigh escapes you as you see yourself approaching Hawkins High. You had a couple of friends back in Wayne, but no one was close enough to see how terrible you felt living there, So there really was no one to miss. You just hoped you would find someone new here.

The wind was tinted slightly with the scent of Venus trees, newly blossoming flowers floating through the crisp morning air and tangling in your hair as you drove towards the school, still belting out the lyrics. Students were bustling around entrances, laughing with friends and pushing eachother around playfully. The smile on your face grew even wider. Yeah, this place was totally right for you.

Little did you know, as soon as you pulled up to the parking lot, multiple pairs of eyes were on you. Some were curious, some were loathing, some were attracted.

One of those pairs belonged to Mike Wheeler.

As soon as you pulled in, his attention fled from his friend group and directed towards you. He stood still for a second. Why was an extremely attractive girl whom he’d never seen before pulling into the parking lot? Was she a new student? She looked exactly his age. Mr. Clarke didn’t say anything about a new student, though. Still, he hoped she was in his class so he could talk to her. She seemed sweet.

Mike watched as you pulled your white schoolbag from the seat beside you and threw it over your shoulder, still smiling. His eyebrows creased in confusion. Why were you still smiling? He’d never seen someone smile that much over seemingly nothing. Not that he hated it, though. It was cute, adorable even. He felt as if he could stare at it for days. Mike was just confused as to why you were smiling like you just won a million dollars in a town like Hawkins, in a school like Hawkins high. Did you perhaps have a mental illness?

“Mike? What you starin’ for?” Lucas taps Mike’s shoulder.

“What? Oh, i’m just… She hasn’t stopped smiling since she got here. Why is she still…”

“She doesn’t need a reason to smile, dipshit.” Max playfully flicks his forehead and goes back to conversation with Dustin.

At this point you had gotten out of your car and were heading towards the entrance of the school, flipping through your schedule and school map, trying to find where to go. Your smile faded to a small grin but it was still noticeable.

“Hey, smiley!” A male voice calls from behind you and you spin around to locate whoever said it. A tall boy with curly brown hair waves to you, a nasty smirk on his face. You’re a little confused so you just send him a small hesitatant wave.

Mike watches as Toby winks at you and he frowns. It’s your first day here and they’re already trying to get their grimy hands on you. Before he can make a comment about it to Max, a short figure bumps into him.

“Ah, sorry!” you pull away from the poor boy you just bumped into and try to sort your messed up hair.

“No, no, it’s fine!” Mike looks down and realizes it’s you. He goes a little red at the contact and attempts conversation. “Hey, are you, uh, new here? It’s a small town, i don’t think i’ve seen you around.” He questions. Behind him, Max, Dustin and Lucas whisper and chuckle at his flushed face.

“Yeah, i was trying to sort out my schedule so i didn’t get lost, then that boy called me smiley so i didn’t see where i was going.” You gesture behind you, giving the attractive boy in front of you a toothy grin.

“So, your name isn’t actually smiley?” He grins back at you.

“No, it’s (Y/n). What’s yours?”

“Mike. Do you want me to, uh, help you with your schedule?” Mike motions towards the green and yellow papers in your hands and you nod.

“Please. Or i’ll get lost here.”

You both laugh as you enter the school early as to not get crushed by students.

“Seems like Mike has found himself a ball of sunshine.” Max comments as she leans against Lucas.

“And she’s hot, alright.” Dustin snorts.

Pairing: Charlie Gillespie x Fem Reader

Summary: For the first time Charlie and Y/N have to do an interview together and things get pretty interesting and chaotic as always with the couple.

Pretty much based in the we say we’re friends world, (yes, again😤 I love their dynamic I’m sorry) you only need to know that Y/N is a musician by profession, wrote the JATP soundtrack, a childhood friend of Charlie and now his current girlfriend.

The couple is completely excited because today they have their first interviews after the confirmation of the second season of Julie and The Phantoms, and usually they are not on the same interview team so this is new. Charlie always does them with the band and the singer usually does them with director Kenny Ortega representing the people behind the scenes.

“Hello everyone, I’m Charlie Gillespie and I play Luke in Julie And The Phantoms.”

“And I’m Y/N Y/L and I play Daniela in Stardust.”

“Baby, you are here today as the songwriter of the album.”

“I know?” She thinks for a few seconds until she realizes what she said. “Oh. Well, this is embarrasing. Make my selfpromo accident worthwhile and watch Stardust after watching JATP!”

“Nice safe, beautiful. Pretty natural.” Her boyfriend teases as she smiles proudly.

“I like to believe I could be an actress.” Charlie begins to laugh at the seriousness with which she answered and looks at her, full of happiness. He loves that they can enjoy moments like this where their careers can go exactly on the same track.

They know that it will not always be this way so they should make the most of the experience.

“I’m excited to have you back, Y/N. And a pleasure to meet you Charlie. You both sure are full of amazing energy, I love it. Let’s start with the questions. Charlie, this is your first leading and in a fairly complete role, you acted, sang, danced and even wrote one of the songs, how was the experience?”

“Pure magic. They are all incredibly talented and so supportive of us, they worked so hard to unleash our full potential in an accelerated manner. They had a lot of patience with me in the dance part, they taught me to use my voice properly, they supported me in the change to electric guitar, it was simply a dream to work with every single person in the project.”

“Sounds amazing. Next question is for you, Y/N. Much has been said about the unreal chemistry between Julie and Luke. How was it for you as his girlfriend to have to witness it live? As I understand you were present throughout the recording."

"Oh man, it was awesome!" Charlie laughs at her pure response and the interviewer looks at her in disbelief.

"I'm Team Juke all the way. I know I may sound like a liar or something since I'm the girlfriend, but here's the thing.

I can't see my Char in Luke. Charlie is so good at bringing him to life that I can't believe that cool rockstar is my adorable goofball. It’s like Clark and Superman with the glasses thing. Beanie and electric guitar? Oh, hi Luke. You are so hot, wait... don’t tell Charlie I said that! Bandana and acoustic guitar? Hey baby, give me a kiss in the forehead and sing me to sleep.

What I was saying again? Oh, yeah. So... I see Juke and I’m soft, they are perfect for each other.”

“So you think Luke is hot, huh.” he pretends to be jealous and folds his arms.

“What can I say, I have a thing for rockstars, my legs melted during now or never."

He snorted a laugh. “Good to know.”

The interviewer cannot contain a laugh of her own.

"It's always a pleasure to have you here, Y/N. You are such a character and I always enjoy listening to you, and I love that even though the years go by and you are no longer so new in the industry you continue to have that fresh and iconic personality."

“Thank you so much Maria, If I can be myself here it is thanks to the beautiful atmosphere that your interviews always have.”

“My pleasure, ‘golden star’. Let’s continue. Y/N, We know you already knew Charlie, but who did you get along with better from the rest of the cast?”

“Oh my, definitely Owen. He was Charlie's roommate throughout the project so we hang out together a lot in our free time taking turns as third wheel. I'm pretty sure he's going to apply the same card to me this second season now that I'm gonna be the roommate.

But it’s okay, I totally deserve it. May the best third wheel win, Joyner!” Charlie grins and does a fistbump with his girlfriend who looks really hyped about going back to Canada with the band.

“I’m rooting for you, girl! Let’s go back to Charlie a little bit. The album that Y/N wrote is a resounding success and a very important piece for the series to be as brilliant as they are. I imagine that the four of you have a special affection for the album, but how do you feel that your girlfriend was the one who wrote a soundtrack of that level for such a special project in your career?”

Charlie looks so proud. He looks at her in a way that makes the young woman blush.

“I’m just so blessed that the things happened they way they did. She’s the love of my life, you know? I couldn't be more proud to sing her songs. She has always been insanely talented and nothing gives me more happiness that knowing she gets to do what she loves and is able to share it with the world.”

The singer's eyes water and she puts her head on the actor's shoulder, who kisses her hair sweetly.

“You two are so pure and so cute to watch, I have a new favorite celebrity couple.”

They continue the interview for a few more minutes and then they have to move on to the second section, in which they are handed some boards with the most searched questions on the internet regarding them.

“Okay guys, introduce yourselves again. I’m not going to be in the segment this time so you’ll have to help each other.”

Both agree without confessing that they have seen videos of this segment until 5 in the morning when they have nothing to do the next day and have sleepovers.

“Hi, we are Charlie Gillespie and Y/N Y/L and will be doing the wired-autocomplete interview today!”

“Okay handsome, let’s start with yours.” Charlie smiles and takes the sign in his hands, while his girlfriend removes the first tape and reveals the first question.

“Does Charlie Gillespie have a girlfriend?” Charlie smiles proudly and kisses his girls nose.

“I do, and she’s so adorable.” He touches gently her cheek and she closes her eyes at his touch.

He gives her a light kiss in the forehead and then uncovers the next question.

“What is Charlie Gillespie like in real life.”

“I’ll answer this one, Char’s a total goofball. He is cheerful, funny, always full of energy, talented, caring, and really, really hot. All done, next question!”

He laughs while blushing and reveals the next one. “Is Charlie Gillespie married?”

“Well I tried but someone ate the ring.”

“I would do it again, it was really good. Answering the question, he is not yet, but he is taking too long, maybe one of these days I will declare myself.”

He opens his eyes wide, he knows very well that his girlfriend is capable of doing it, and honestly he wants to be who does it, so he makes a mental note to prepare everything soon. Thank god he is working on the rings already.

“It’s Y/N still dating...”

“If the question says Ross Lynch I’m goin’ to lose it. No shade though, man.”

She laughs, after the James Larkin show, a lot of people showed anger as they felt that she was a much better match with the blonde, and Charlie couldn't help but feel a bit offended.

“...Charlie Gillespie! Yes, baby!” Both high five, Charlie looks almost relieved, is adorable.

“The answer is always yes folks, get use to it.”

“Who is Y/N’s best friend?”

“Well, this one is easy.” She turns to see Charlie and gives him a flirtatious little smile. He blushes and reaches out to kiss her, but she answers the question just before their lips touch.

“Ross Lynch.” She leans over and presses her lips against his for a few seconds as Charlie reacts to her response and then gapes in disbelief.

“You did nOT.” He laughs and and wrinkles his nose feigning annoyance.

“Yes I dID. But to be honest, has to be this man right here. Not a lot people know this but we’ve been best friends all our lives, so yeah. You baby, of course.” He blushes and kisses her hand, clearly happy with the answer.

“Is Y/N going to be in Julie And The Phantoms S2?”

“Will you?” He asks, genuinely curious. She never tells him what Kenny secretly confesses her about the project so as not to be unfair to the other members of the band.

“I will, but probably still back the scenes, guys. I'm really enjoying this part and learning from the best of the best so I am very happy not to be in front of the camera for now.”

“And you are doing an amazing work, love.” She grins and kisses his cheek.

“Thank you for watching us being ridiculously corny for 30 minutes, don't forget to watch Julie and the Phantoms Season 2 only on Netflix! I feel sorry for that poor people that will have to see how cheesy we are.”

“We were still recording Y/N, but never mind. The editing team has a lot of work ahead.”

“Well, damn. I’m sorry guys!” Charlie laughs for the thousandth time today. There is nothing better in life than sharing your days with your best friend. He can't wait to formalize that ‘forever’.

I'm not really sure about what you mean by that, but if you're talking about the emoji I put after each character's name, it is indeed intentional and there are interesting reason for it! (at least I think it's interesting lol)

It's gonna be unnecessarily long so read down below if you happen to be interested with this one! (for some reasons)

I'm used to indulge to my fantasy via X (Twitter) a lot, especially since there are many Character X Reader fanarts created by JP's artists being posted on twitter. But in japanese fandom's twitter culture, there are many unspoken rules as to how to tag/title your work for the sake of decluttering/censoring/gatekeeping (idk how to best phrase that lol) and it is especially important to learn it if you want your work to reach to their demographics as well.

As for emojis, many people often used the unofficial fandom's designated emojis to tag their work/tweet/ instead of typing the actual name of the character, this is so they'll not clutter the hastag itself with their artworks/fic. Especially since sometimes there are character with similar names to one character in another fandom / the character's name itself is similar with a certain slang/noun/place.

The best example for this is Epidem from Mashle, since if you put the katakana of his name on twitter search engine you will be directed to a news/threads/tweets that is talking about 'epidemic'. It will be troublesome if someone who doesn't know anything about Mashle ended up finding random fanart about Epidem when they tried to find news related to 'epidemic', right? that's why tagging it with the designated emoji/term for that character will be more preferrable in this case.

One Royal Holiday (Hallmark, 2020)

Someday you shall wear the fuzzy socks!

Plot Synopsis: When Anna offers a stranded mother and son shelter in a blizzard, she learns that they are the Royal Family of Galwick. Anna shows the Prince how they do Christmas in her hometown, encouraging him to open his heart and be true to himself. (x)

In My Humble Opinion: In the best of times, I have never been much of a fan of royalty movies. If you are a longtime reader of the blog, you know that royalty movies and military movies face an uphill battle in getting me to respect them. That is just the way it is here on tvmoviechristmas.com.

However, this is a year where wealthy people are even more annoying than usual. So when there’s a giant plotline involving royal people being mystified by a lack of room service, I don’t find it charming. When they refuse to walk anywhere and enlist a horsedrawn carriage, I don’t find it cute. When they climax involves the main characters embarking on multiple private plane trips across the ocean, I don’t find it to be a grand sweeping gesture of romance. I find it to be frustrating. I’m living on a space heater and a prayer right now because my heat has been broken for three days, and many others are living on worse than that. And to think that the whole movie hinges on the main character being a nurse who treats every patient like a king even when she knows whey aren’t kings, well. I bet that king was able to afford some pretty nice healthcare during his surgeries and when he died the taxpayers were on the hook for his medical expenses!!! I’m just saying! I am just saying!

I get that some people like to live in the fantasy of a prince coming to your house and falling in love with your knock off Dunkin Donuts buying charm, but I can’t help but live in reality. And the reality is that I hate this whole damn trope especially now.

That’s not to say that One Royal Holiday is charmless. Hallmark enlisted a bunch of out of work Broadway actors to take part in this movie, and they do seem genuinely game for it which I wasn’t expecting and which makes a lot of the more out-of-touch royalty moments slightly easier to take. While future guaranteed Tony Winner Aaron Tveit and his incredibly greasy hair is probably the big “name” here, I was most charmed to see Tom McGowen (Kenny from my beloved Frasier) as the female lead’s dad. I’m surprised he’s not the Dad in a billion Hallmark movie because he has the affable personality to pull it off. 

The cast was fun enough that I wish they were making some other movie that wasn’t about rich people, but they were. They sadly were.

Watch If: You don’t get excited to see Santa, if you always request a pillow menu when you go to a hotel or if you would be honored to be compared to Captain Von Trapp.

Skip If: You are a royal who eats donuts, if you keep your Christmas tree up until February or if you think distane is an excuse to give up on happiness.

Backstory

Connie has always been a bit odd to other people simply because she never really found a group and stuck with it. Connie has always had a lot of different interests and did not compromise her engagement in any of them despite what anyone said. Her enthusiasm for whatever it was she was doing at the time however, was infectious to the others around and, unlike her brother, Connie never really had trouble making friends.

Over time, her interests narrowed to a few select arts and DND. Though interested in science, it never was her most favorite thing. That didn't have a strain on her relationship with her father, he understands that curiosity comes in all forms for all subjects, just because hers is different does not make any difference. His daughter is incredibly smart and creative and he is proud of her every single day.

When the Clarke twins got to high school, Connie always makes sure that she invites her brother to join her in whatever she does but more often than not, he insisted on sticking to the technical side of things.

Connie, despite some of her "quirks", does gain the attention of several boys her age over the course of her high school career but she always says no. Some less than kind peers of hers make several comments about her and the boys of Hellfire but she shuts them down many times. She's witty enough to get bullies off her back.

It took her a long time to figure out why she's never been interested in boys and once she did, she kept it to herself, not even telling her twin or father about it. It's just a difficult situation for her that she's still trying to figure out how to navigate.

Stranger Things Season 4 Notes Part [1/?]: Featuring Wendy Deakins and the Twins!

Wendy’s Bio, Connie’s Bio, Kenny’s Bio, Previous Season Notes: S1, S2, S3

Strap in folks! This one’s gonna be a long one! I might have to break it into parts but I wanted to include all three of them this time so bare with me!

Part 1: Episodes 1, 2, and 3

In the meantime between Season 3 and Season 4, Steve and Wendy have started their lives outside of high school, Robin being only a year behind them. Robin and Steve still work at Family Video and Wendy’s Dad’s auto shop is just across the street. The three of them, despite Steve and Wendy both having their own cars, have started car pooling everywhere. The happy couple and their best friend.

Wendy and Steve’s relationship is a bit weird, they’re a bit in the awkward stage going from friends to sorta dating but they appear to be doing alright. They’re still fumbling their way around PDA, not sure where the other’s boundaries are. Also, the two of them are hellbent on finding Robin a girlfriend. Vickie looks promising.

In the scene’s leading up to lunch the day of the pep rally, we are introduced to the twins! Connie and Kenny are walking through the halls as they usually do. The two, despite their familial similarities, could not look more different. Kenny is dressed in pretty much all black or dark blue, nothing flashy about anything on him, trying to make himself look as unremarkable as possible. Meanwhile, Connie is talking animatedly to him, she has her hair up in a hot pink scrunchie. She is also wearing a hellfire club t-shirt. Kids passing the two of them look at the strangely, whether it be because of Connie’s shirt or Kenny’s awkwardness neither can be sure.

Connie tries in vain to get Kenny to sit at lunch with the club. “I really think you’d like them!” “I don’t need your help making friends, Con.” “Right... If you aren’t gonna sit with us at least play the game this time, I’m sure Eddie can find a way to squeeze you in.” “I already told you, I’ve gotta fix the stage lights. Ya know, for the show you’re a part of. You don’t want the spotlight going out on you during your big solo.” “Fine. Next time then.”

As the twins separate, Connie heading to the hellfire table, Kenny to eat lunch by himself, Connie bumps into Chrissy Cunningham. The two apologize to each other, Connie being only a little bit awkward at being in such a pretty girl’s presence. Connie notices something a bit off and is about to ask about it when Chrissy finds an excuse to leave.

Connie informs the Hellfire Club that they can still use the theater tonight and Dustin and Mike let them know, reluctantly, that Lucas can’t make it.

“Ms. Clarke?” “Mr. Munson.” “Don’t you have a brother that can be called upon to fill the spot of our basketball wielding betrayer?” “Tried already. He’ll be in the theater tonight but he said no.” “Boooo...” “Maybe next time guys.”

Steve and Wendy go to the basketball game together to support their son Lucas and their buddy Robin, sharing some popcorn, enjoying each other’s company and making fun of Tammy Thompson’s awful singing voice. 

Prior to the Hellfire meeting, the Clarke twins and Eddie are the first ones there. Connie heads to the dressing room to have a private place to practice some lines in the show leaving Eddie and Kenny alone.

“So this is the knave who thinks he’s too good for Dungeons and Dragons.” Not expecting to have been spoken to, Eddie’s voice nearly startles Kenny off the ladder. “Augh- uh... Did, did Connie say that?” “No. Your sister has spoken rather highly of you, actually. I just want to know why you don’t want to play.” Kenny gestures with the tool in his hands, “I’m working.” “You have to fix one light.” “Yeah well, I’ve never really played anything like it before.” “I could teach you. It’s not a difficult game to learn.” “It’s also creative though, right?” “Yeah?” Eddie says, “And?” “That’s more Connie’s department.” Eddie is quiet for a moment (shocking really from what Kenny knows about the other boy), weighing what he wants to say, “We are wrapping up a campaign tonight but when we start the next one, there’ll be a place at the table for you, should you chose to accept it.”

The Hellfire Club, with the addition of Erica, sits down to play pretty much right when Kenny finishes fixing his light. Stuck there until his sister wraps up, Kenny tries his best to keep busy but eventually does end up invested in the fight against Vecna. He watches from afar, occasionally locking eyes with the Dungeon Master.

Thanks to the Sinclair’s both teams win their respective games and everyone, except for maybe Lucas goes home from school happy that night.

The following day, while working with her father, Wendy discusses her frustration at the lack of response she’s received in her application to vet schools. She’s put the work in, she has the grades, why won’t they let her in? In the midst of her father’s comforting, there is a news report on the tv in her father’s office. A Hawkins High School student’s body has been found.

The Clarke’s also watch the newscast at home, all three of them wondering if the student is someone they knew. Either being in their grade or having been a student of his a few years ago.

At Family Video, Wendy has come over to discuss the news with Steve and Robin when Dustin and Max come in. The two explain the situation and yet another Hawkins mystery begins. Steve wants to go to the police but Wendy adamantly refuses, with Hopper gone, the best people in charge of this case, whether it has to do with the Upside Down or not, is them. 

Dustin uses the phone to call the Clarke’s and informs Connie, who answers the phone, that Eddie is in trouble and they should meet him at an address they found. The twins have a hushed argument while their father is painting minis in the garage. Eventually Connie wins and they quickly inform their father that they both will be going out to run some errands (safety in numbers, to make their Dad feel better about them leaving) and that they’d be back soon.

At Reefer Rick’s Cabin, the large assembly of young adults check the house. The Clarkes are formally introduced to Max and the Scoops Troop. Connie and Robin look at each other for maybe a little too long. Prompting some surprised but knowing looks between Steve and Wendy. Also, Max notices a light on in the nearby boathouse

Inside, Eddie attacks Steve leading Wendy and Connie to step in. Wendy is a bit confrontational in this situation as the Russian torture memories still haven’t healed over well. Connie attempts to calm Eddie down, being a much older friend to him. Kenny also tries to help but is a bit awkward about it for a handful of reasons.

One thing leads to another and Dustin reluctantly spills the beans to Eddie and the twins.

The next day, the team of seven return to Reefer Rick’s with food and the Clarkes also brought a nicer blanket and a pillow. Kenny also gives Eddie a Rubik's Cube as something to fidget with. In addition, they also offer him news that while the police are looking for him, they haven’t released his name yet. 

When police cars are heard in the distance, the twins decide that Kenny will stay behind with Eddie at the moment to help him, while everyone else piles into Steve’s car. Kenny wants to argue that maybe Connie should stay, she is adamant that she wants to find out what’s going on and what the police are doing when it concerns her friend. She’s not going to hear it from anyone else. Someone has to stay with Eddie but Connie wants in on the investigation. 

When the six of them find Nancy at the sight of yet another grizzly ‘murder’ a conclusion is made. The Upside Down is definitely involved.

The gang swaps information with Nancy, trying to cross reference some kind of correlation between Chrissy and Fred. When Nancy goes to investigate things at the library, Connie is delegated to go with her. “Aren’t you Mr. Clarke’s kid? You’re smart.” “I’m really no-” Then Robin speaks up, “I’ll go with! Too, I mean. I would like to go too.”

Wendy and Steve, staying behind as the pseudo parents for Max and Dustin smile at each other. They know. The decision is made and as most of the girls head to the library, the family unit heads to the guidance counselor’s house. 

While waiting for Max outside Dustin says, “Well don’t you too look awfully cozy” “What?” Wendy looks down to see their hands are subconsciously close to each other. The two stare at each other with wide eyes before they separate. Simultaneously saying, “Shut up.”

Lucas calls over the radio once Max is back with some stolen keys and Wendy tells him that they are going to the school. She hangs up before Lucas can warn them about the basketball team.

The research at the library goes well despite the awkwardness of the three’s relationships. All three girls are in the same graduating class but they have very different experiences in regards to Upside Down stuff. Nancy has been doing this for the longest amount of time, Robin has only been at it for a few days a year or so ago and Connie’s been doing it for about twenty four hours. Connie and Robin both ask Nancy a lot of questions, Robin a little more frequently. They do however work well together finding the information that they need. Nancy even manages to catch Connie and Robin stealing looks at each other when they think no one is looking. 

Robin radios the school team with their findings but they are busy breaking in. 

Steve and Wendy probably have something to say about wandering the halls of a school they haven’t gone to in a year as they find Ms. Kelley’s office. Wendy is quick to point out the similarities in the files between Chrissy and Fred’s cases. Max seems to realize something too...
