JJK MEN AS DADS
How they are with their kiddos/babies ! ft. gojo, geto, choso, toji, and nanami
content: no curse!au fluff, established relationship (marriage), children, families.
Gojo Satoru
"Look at my little boy, he looks just like me, what a heart stopper you'll be when you get older!" He praises his two year old, Kenji Gojo.
"'Toru stop trying to manifest our son into a hoe." Satoru turns to you with a loud gasp, eyes wide, and it causes your little boy to giggle.
"How could you say such words, in front of him? Don't listen to Mommy. Daddy was never a player. Never ever!" Kenji has no clue what's happening he just laughs at his father's dramatics.
"Oh brother, I hope he doesn't turn into a drama queen like you. And yes you were a player before I got with you. Remember when you kissed my friend then like ten minutes later tried to kiss me?" Satoru was a menace in college. Every time you bring up that specific college memory he always says-
"Ugh, blame Suguru! He was the one who made me take shots when I didn't like to drink." There it is. That was excuse for two-timing you and your best friend back then.
"Save it for someone who believes you. Kenji, don't be like Daddy when you grow up, okay?" Your husband knows you're joking but he can't help but whine and feel like you're being against him.
"Otay Mommy! Daddy is hoeeee. Hoe hoe hoe. Merry Christmas!" Your poor little boy thinks he's saying the noise Santa makes instead of a derogatory term and it's hilarious.
Of course you encourage him, "Daddy's a what?"
"Hoe!" Kenji screams out with a smile on his face. Satoru frowns loosing his playfulness.
"I-i guess my family just hates me... no one loves me." He sighs loudly to sell it to you guys but you don't buy it. He sits in the corner pretending to cry. "Boo hoo..." Kenji waddles his way over to his father patting his head.
"No cry Daddy, you not a hoe. You Daddy." Satoru fakes a loud gasp when he hears his son comfort him, thinking Satoru is actually crying.
"Really?!" He asks the little boy standing next to him.
"Yeah, Daddy is cool!!" Satoru chuckles, picks up is little boy and tosses him into the air. The small white haired child screams in delight as his father catches him, and you can't deny that all the trouble you and Satoru had in your relationship was worth seeing this.
Geto Suguru
"And then, the monster ate the twin girls who didn't go to sleep at their bed time-"
"Ooooookay. I think that's enough bed time stories from Papa." You say ushering your girls to bed, Hana looks scared out of her mind but Kana's eyes are sparkling with curiosity.
"Awww, Mommy, it was just getting good!" Kana whines, you know she wants to hear whatever else Suguru makes up on spot but he scared Hana who looks like she wants to cry.
"I know sweetie, but I don't think Hana really liked that story." The girls are six and full of energy at any given time.
"Come on baby, let me tell Kana the rest." Suguru matches his daughter's tone, knowing you'll give in.
"Alright, fine, but you need to apologize to Hana, look at her." Your husband looks at his younger twin daughter and he does feel kind of bad for scaring her like that. Suguru likes telling scary stories and myths to his girls just like his father had done to him. He always thought they were super cool.
"Oh, Hana, sweet girl. Papa's sorry. I didn't mean to scare you like that. How about I tell you and your sister a different story?" Hana looks a little doubtful as do you, but Suguru grants you a smile. He knows you trust him so you give him a stern look before kissing his forehead.
"Don't take too long, I need my cuddles." He smirks, kissing your hand, "Of course my dear."
The twins coo in unison at their parents romantic gestures, they think it's the coolest thing ever. "You girls have your stuffed animals?" He asks them and they nod together waiting for his story.
He tells the two about a princess who needed saving. Her long lost sister came to save her from a scary dragon and they lived happily together.
"That sounds like me and Hana!! I fought the scary dragon and Hana was the princess!!!" Kana says with excitement. Sometimes Suguru sees two little girls he used to foster in his own girls. He wonders how they're doing these days. They're probably grown up by now or at least in their late teens.
"I really wish Mommy had let me name you guys Nanako and Mimiko." He whispers with a soft smile. Kana looks at him in confusion rubbing her tired eyes, Hana's already asleep.
"Huh?" Kana asks.
"Nothing my dear, good night, little one." He tucks her into bed and gives her a tend kiss on the forehead.
"Night night, Papa." She says with a yawn and Suguru makes his way downstairs to join you.
Kamo Choso
Choso bites his lip looking down at his son, the boy looks a lot like you he thinks. Ryuji is his name, you let him name him. "I didn't mean to break it." He whines to his father. Choso has a soft spot for his boy. He reminds him a lot of his little brother Yuji.
"I know bud, but what will we tell Mom when she gets home?" Ryuji had accidentally broken your favorite ceramic mug. Choso was not sure what he signed up for when he got you pregnant but it sure wasn't this.
He and his son were always getting scolded by you. Every time Ryuji gets into some kind of trouble it also happens to be Choso's fault for not watching him closely as you always say. The truth is, Ryuji seems to get into trouble even with his father watching him closely.
"Um... we can tell her it was at the edge of the counter and i walked past it and it fell down. Then it will be her fault for leaving it by the edge." Choso smiles at his devious ten year old. He knows lying is bad but if you heard what really happened you'd scold both of them.
What actually happened as that Ryuji was playing in the kitchen, even though you've warned him against it many times and he knocked your mug down onto the ground.
"Good idea, kid. I don't want to hear Mom yelling again. I might get couch treatment again." Choso shivers at the idea of sleeping on the cramped couch rather than in his warm bed with you.
"You remind me a lot of your Uncle Yuji." Choso says ruffling his son's hair. "You and Mom keep saying that and I don't know if that's good or bad."
"It depends. Yuji can be both." Choso chuckles. His son gives him a crushing hug.
"I love you dad, you're doing great." And Choso didn't know how much he needed to hear those words but they were getting to him.
Fushiguro Toji
"Quit kicking your Ma, ya little brat." He threatens your swelling belly. He gives you a questioning look when you glare at him. Those emerald eyes challenge yours in a staring contest.
"What is with you and threatening our unborn children?" Your question is followed by a giggle.
"Gotta let the brats know who's in charge." He blows out a breath and puffs his chest, you find the whole ordeal ridiculous. The man is a girl dad for crying out loud. Even his oldest, your step-son thinks his father is a clown. And before Tsumiki died there were three daughters in his life.
He thinks your third one is bound to be a boy, but you're secretly hoping for a girl just to further sink Toji's idea of having a little boy to boss around. Megumi comes around maybe twice a month to see his little half-sisters, which means Toji is surrounded by girls all the time.
You like to joke around with him and say, "What do you know? Girls seem to follow you wherever you go." He always grumbles about it being stupid and unfair.
"As I was saying-"
"DAD!!!!! MY HAIR OH NOOOOOOO." Toji's up off the couch in seconds answering at his daughter's beck and call.
He walks into her room to see her braid was messed up. "What happened, Doll?" He asks her, undoing the braid so he can redo it.
"Yui undid my braid!! She took my hair tie and ran to her room!!!" She squeals, in horror at her little sister's thieving.
"Oh did she now? I'll go have a talk with her once I braid this back up." He's gentle with his tender-headed daughter. He quickly braids her hair back up, the pattern memorized. 100% self indulgent bc im tender headed.
"I have this green hair tie, is that okay, sweet girl?" She sighs quietly. "Where are the blue ones?" Toji clicks his tongue. "I can go get one real quick if you hold the end of this braid." He tells her and she's quick to do it. Her favorite color is blue after all.
She cheers when her father returns with a blue hair tie. He ties it up quickly, "Okay let me go talk to Yui." Nami nods brushing out her baby doll's hair.
Toji makes an appearance in front of his four year old's door, she's making her dolls scream at each other. "What was da reason?!!!!" She screams pretending to be one of the dolls, "I had a reason." She makes the other say.
Toji rolls his eyes, his daughter has been watching too much TV with you. "Excuse me miss Cardi B, why did you steal your sister's hair tie?" His hands are on his hips and his eyes are squinted to add to his authority.
"Whattttt, Dad, you know dat?" She asks as if her dad lives under a rock.
"Tch I'm not old, I know what memes are. Now answer the question." She rolls her eyes. You tell Toji she gets her attitude from him.
"If you haf to know I needed it, so I could give Sprinkles a ponytail." Sprinkles is the dog Toji said he was NOT going to get for his girls but caved in and got anyway.
"Ya coulda asked me or your Ma for one rather than stealing it right from your sister's hair." She shakes her head in disagreement. Toji wonders what's going on in her head right now.
"Dad you don't get it! It had to be that one!"
"Why that specific hair tie?" She goes silent turning away from her father and mumbling something Toji can barely hear.
"Speak up, princess." She scoffs and sighs and folds her arms. Wow the sass is unreal.
"Sprinkle thinks Nami is super cool so she wants what Nami has." Toji isn't stupid he knows his daughter is using the dog as a place holder for how she admires her older sister. Yui doesn't like to admit it though.
"Are you sure it's Sprinkle who thinks Nami is super cool?" He gives her the chance to be open with him and she sighs taking the bait.
"I guess. I think Nami is super cool." She murmurs and Toji smirks.
"It's alright to think your sis is cool, Dad didn't get to grow up with any cool siblings. Just annoying cousins."
"Mai and Maki are cooler than you, Dad, not annoying!" The man in question raises his brow his smirk never leaving, "Okay since I'm not cool. I guess I won't take you out for treats anymore when Ma says no."
Little Yui gasps, bursting upward like a rocket and running toward her dad. She hugs his leg, her little head looking up at him, "I was kidding Dad. You're super cool. Please don't stop taking me for treats!!"
Toji smiles, picks up his little girl and tickles her. She screams out for him to stop, "Huh? I can't hear what you're saying."
"Nami help!!!!"
In seconds Nami's attacking her father in a playful manner, "Let go of my sister!!"
"Okay then." Toji holds his daughter upside down by her feet, as she screams some more. "MA!!! HELPPP!!!!"
"Toji put her down." You say in a half-hearted manner.
"She is down. Upside down."
Nanami Kento
"See, you're getting the hang of it, Hiro." Kento softly encourages his son who's struggling with his math homework. You had tried to help him but he screamed that what you were saying didn't make sense. So of course you yelled back, letting your emotions get the better of you.
Kento had stepped in to keep you two from ripping each other's heads off. Plus all that screaming had woken up the baby. You could hear her crying.
That was about an hour ago. You quietly walked into the dining room with your seven month old baby girl cuddled up to your chest as you held her tight.
The sight of your husband helping your son warmed your heart, but you also felt guilt hot in your stomach for yelling at him, he's only twelve.
"Hey, Hiro. Can I talk to you, hon?" You ask softly. Both your son and Kento turn their heads upon hearing your voice. He nods at you and you inhale deeply, "I'm sorry for yelling at you, bud, I didn't mean it."
His eyes soften as do Kento's.
"I'm sorry too, Mom. I started it. You were just trying to help me." Kento's smile encourages you to walk closer to the table which you do.
"We should have had Dad come help in the first place, huh? I'm not good at explaining." Hiro shares a laugh with you, and Kento cups your cheek.
"Explanations might not be your strong suit but you're still a good mother, baby." Hiro gags at his father calling you "baby" he hate when you two get sappy.
You move your head a little so you can kiss his palm. As expected Hiro covers his eyes and making more throwing up noises.
"Oh hush, one day you'll find someone for you, and you'll be just like me and your mother." Kento says rolling his eyes and you giggle. Even though you guys have your differences you guys always forgive each other at the end of the day.
Your little girl coos quietly and Kento holds out his arms gesturing for his little girl.
"She's just had dinner, so she might fall asleep on you." Your warning doesn't bother him at all, if anything, you'll probably have more pictures to add to your baby gallery on your phone if she falls asleep in his arms.
She's already a dad's girl and she's only seven months old. You thought maybe Hiro would be a mama's boy but he's definitely his daddy's son.
You don't mind though, well, sometimes you're a little jealous that you have to share your man with your kids. Kento's a very lovable man though, so you can't blame them.

Imagine being so drunk that Kenji Sato’s solution to stopping you from wandering around, or accidentally breaking your neck, was to let you straddle his lap. Face to face, chest so close you can hear each other’s heartbeat, to the point that he can smell the strong alcohol on your breath.
However, he doesn't have any time to think and enjoy the feeling because despite being restrained to his lap, one of his hands holding your hips steady— you were holding your glass too loose. He was afraid that you would let it go, spill the content and hurt yourself. Yet, you refuse to give it to him, holding his injured shoulder with your free hand, restraining him, squeezing it— if so much he moves to grab your glass.
After some time of you struggling, giggling and moving your glass out of his reach, he gave up and just decided to lean back on the chair. Letting fate decide whatever.
He watched as you hummed and chugged the remaining content of your glass. Satisfied that you won. All he could do was chuckle at your antics as you stretched your body, trying to reach out for the bottle to refill your glass.
He thought you were amusing as you tried your best to fill your glass with a frown and uninterrupted focus since you claimed the bottle kept moving away when in truth it was you who were not steady.
It was all fun and games until the inevitable happened and you spilled the bottle of alcohol not on your glass but to his shirt. You were lucky that his reflexes were fast, that he was able to move you in time, and it was only your leg that was caught. He immediately grabbed hold of his shirt, lifted it up to remove it, and used it to tap and dry the sticky aftermath of your drunk clumsiness.
While Kenji was busy trying to clean you up, your eyes were not concerned with what you just did. Instead your eyes were wandering around his half naked body. Especially, your eyes boring into that toned chest of his.
You're not sure what exactly they called it— Intrusive thoughts? But you just did whatever came into your mind while looking at it.
Kenji Sato squealed like a girl in surprise when he felt your soft hands, squeezing both of his chest tightly. Not once, not twice, but squeezing until he caught both of your hands and firmly told you to stop.
You were breathing heavily, cheeks dusted in pink— your expression mirroring his, except to his wide eyes, which runs thousands of thoughts, trying to digest what you just did.
You were sure one of them, however, is not allowing you to drink this bad ever again.

Kenji woke up in his room with a pounding headache and a wave of nausea hitting him like a ton of bricks. Mina held the trashcan as Kenji threw up the contents from last night’s party. After he was done, Mina set down a sandwich, along with some water and painkillers. “Thanks, Mina”. He said as he took a bite of the sandwich. Before she left his bedroom, she closed the curtains, making the room dark again. Kenji put the sandwich back on the plate and lied back down on the bed. He closed his eyes again, and the events of last night came flooding back. The techno music blasting, the alcohol, the girl…
The girl… she was all alone at the after party so Kenji approached her. It went from small talk and flirting to long, deep conversations. The next thing he knew, they were dancing on the dance floor. He remembers her angelic laugh, her strong lavender perfume, the way she would look at him while he held her as they danced. They were perfect for each other.
“She was so pretty”…
“Fuck what was her name again”?
Kenji looked through his contacts, trying to see if there was a name or a phone number he wasn’t familiar with. But alas, nothing. As he sinks further down into the soft pillows, his hands fell onto his face. Of all the things he didn’t do, he didn’t think to ask for her phone number.
He couldn’t stop daydreaming about the girl. Everywhere he went, he thought he saw her. But he always ends up mistaking her for another random lady.
His pining got to the point where it annoyed his baseball team. Every time Kenji would bring up the mystery girl, his teammates would groan, yelling at him to shut the fuck up. Even his coach had enough of the mystery girl nonsense.
“If you don’t get your head out of the gutter, i’m trading you to the tigers. That’s a promise”. His coach threatened.
Even Mina noticed how distracted Kenji was. Every time Kenji came back from battle, he would show up with more bruises and injuries.
“Kenji, what’s going on with you? You keep loosing your focus”. Mina asked.
“I’m fine Mina, really I am”. Kenji puts an ice pack on his shoulder, the cold stinging his skin.
“This is about the girl from your dreams, isn’t it”? Mina pressed on.
Kenji sighs. “She isn’t some girl I made up! She’s real Mina, and the thought of her is driving me crazy. What’s even worse is I never got her phone number”.
“I’m sure you’ll see her again”. Mina reassures him.
“In a city like Tokyo? I doubt it”. He pouts.
Everyone around him is well aware of how down bad he is for the girl. The thought of her is ruining him, but he didn’t care. He wants to see her again. Scratch that, he NEEDS to see her again.
But a few weeks go by, an the thought of the mystery girl eventually died down. His focus came back and Kenji can properly function again.
He was filling up the water coolers for his team, minding his own business when all of a sudden, he heard a familiar laugh. He turned around and saw a (hair color) haired girl talking on the phone while filling up her water bottle at the same water station.
“It’s you”. He muttered out loud.
The girl turned around and looked at him. Kenji panicked, he finally found the mystery girl that had been plaguing his mind for weeks, and now he couldn’t form a single sentence.
“Hey, can I call you back? Okay bye”. The girl hung up her phone and approached Kenji.
“Well, if it isn’t Ken Sato”. She smirked
“I can’t believe it’s you”. Said Kenji.
“In the flesh. I’m glad you’re okay. I was worried when you blacked out”. She said.
Kenji looks at her in confusion. “I blacked out? But Ken Sato never passes out”.
“Well, you did. It was during our dance. My guess is the soju finally caught up to you”. She chuckled.
He finally remembered now. He had two soju bottles and the next thing he knew, he saw stars. Talk about embarrassment.
“Anyways, my brother and I took you home”. She added.
“Damn… I’m sorry, I really wanted to see you again, but I never got your number”. He said.
“I slipped my phone number in your jacket, hoping you would find it. But then I waited and then realized you probably didn’t want to talk to me”. She looked down at the ground.
Kenji’s mentally face palmed himself. He didn’t think to look through his clothes before laundering them.
“Oh my god, I’m so sorry, I didn’t see it! God I’m such an idiot”. He scratched his head.
“It’s okay Ken. Here, give me your phone”. She gestured for it.
He gave her his phone and she added her number on his notes app.
“Text me and we can get dinner sometime”. She hands his phone back.
“I would like that”. He smiled at her.
Suddenly, they hear the crowds cheering loudly from the stadium
“I guess that’s my cue to head back in. Can’t wait to see you play Ken”. She winks and turns to leave.
He walked away, feeling incredibly lucky and lovestruck. But he snapped out of it when he realized…
“WAIT I DIDN’T GET YOUR”-
But as he turned around, she was gone again. Lost in the crowd full of people.
“Name”…
“Well, at least I got your number”. Kenji thought
He looked down at his phone and saw the number she just put in, along with her name:
“Y/N”

My Goddess - kenji sato x fem!reader
warning: smut 18+, use of petnames (mama, baby, princess, sweetheart), sub!kenji (yes, he is a warning), cumming in pants, thigh riding, nipple play, marking, begging, handjob, cum eating
summary: thigh riding with sub!kenji sato
author's note: i know his legs look like he skips leg day, lmao, but.... c'mon. it's kenji sato. this was a fever dream and has been on my mind all week. also, we need more sub!kenji !! typed this on my phone, so i haven't proofread it properly.
masterlist !
when kenji suggested that he wanted you to ride his thigh, you were noneless than surprised for two reasons.
one: at the mere idea of it and how much it turned you on.
two: how it had unveiled kenji's submissive side. his soft, vulnerable, shy side that triggered something primal in you.
you were soon to straddle his thigh, positioning yourself, the movie playing in the back long forgotten.
"are you sure about this?" you caressed his chin with your thumb.
leaning back on the couch, kenji nodded, his face tinged with a pink flush, "i trust you. I know you'll take care of me," he confessed, his voice rough and unguarded.
you held his jaws with one hand loosely, thumb tracing his rosy, plump lower lip.
kenji stared up at you, his bangs falling over his face perfectly. he closed his mouth around your thumb, sucking obidiently and swirling his tongue around, letting go with a pop; all the while keeping eye contact wirh you.
"oh baby," your heart fluttered at the raw desire in his eyes. you tugged his jaw down lightly, pulling his mouth open, "you're so eager for me, aren't you?" you teased him, your hand travelling down to the bottom of his neck.
kenji gasped at the feel of your fingers curling around his neck, "yes. p-please, please," he stuttered, "wanna kiss you," he whined, parted lips chasing yours.
tipping your head to the side, you pressed your mouth to his sloppily.
kenji moaned into your mouth, letting you devour him. his tongue slid against yours, hands roaming your body, wanting you closer than ever.
you began to grind down on his thigh, holding onto his shoulders for support.
your mouth to fall open in a moan, the coarseness of your jeans rubbing against your needy pussy just right.
with each rock of your hips, your knee nudged his growing hard cock, the light action causing the material of his sweatpants to rub against his cock deliciously.
he subconsciousy bucked his hips against your knee, whimpering against your jaw, "fuckk,"
"just like that, mama," he pressed kisses all over your neck, his head tilting for better access, "does that feel good?"
"ah, yes," you moaned, tipping your head back, " k-kenji, so good-"
by now, your wetness had seeped through your jeans, and created a wet spot on his sweatpants.
but he didn't care one bit about it.
he mouthed needily at your breasts through your shirt, lips puckered around your hard nipple. his tongue pressed through the cloth, drenching the cloth with his saliva.
he leaned his cheek against your chest, huffing when your shirt was in obstructing the contact with your skin. he frowned in annoyance, hating the barrier between himself and your boobs.
"what is it, baby?" you held the side of his face, cooing in a seductive manner as you tipped his chin to meet his eyes.
"shirt off," he mumbled, "please," he added, correcting his tone when you raised your brows at him, "wanna feel you," he pouted, breath coming in ragged gasps, "taste you," he added, mouth closing around your breast through your shirt, "please, please," he mumbled incoherently, fingers tugging at the end of your shirt hesitantly.
complying, you lifted the edge of your shirt just over your chest.
kenji chased at your nipples, mouth hanging open. he let out a low, contented hum when his lips closed around them and he sucked slowly, and passionately. the taste of your skin filling his senses.
moaning appreciatively, you mumbled sweet nothings at him, running your fingers through his hair, "you feel so good, my love," you cooed, tugging at his raven locks, "i could ride you all day,"
he moaned flilthy, his glassy eyes locked onto yours. your words causing his mind to spiral in euphoria.
he swirled his tongue, eyes closing in bliss at his mouth being busy.
you continued you grind your hips on his thigh, feeling the pressure build at your lower tummy.
you guided his eager palms to the rounds of your ass. he caught on immediately, blinking up at you, "like this, mama?" he pushed your hips down against his thigh, flexing it just right.
you whined, back arching into him, "oh fuck. just like that," your mouth form in an 'o'.
each rock of your hips made your knee rub against his groin just right, pushing him towards the edge as well.
you snaked a hand down, cupping and feeling his warmth and hardness through his clothes.
"hnng," he jaw went slack at your actions, hips bucking to meet your palm.
"you'so hard, baby," you managed to speak, feeling your head buzz from the intensity, "i bet it hurts," you cooed, teasing and ghosting your fingers over his cock.
kenji whined into your neck, a bead of sweat rolled down his temple, "hurts so much," he cried, unable to take it any longer, "please don't tease me- i can't take it anymore," a tear slipped down his cheek.
you aww-ed at him, cupping his face with both hands and kissed the pout on his lips, "mama will make you feel so good, mkay? but you have to make me cum first,"
kenji nodded eagerly, his mouth latching onto your nipple and grabbing the other one, fondling with it and tweaking the bud.
"m'gonna cum," you stuttered, wiggling further down on his thigh.
kenji's fingers skillfully undid the button of your jeans, his thumb dipping down to press against your clothed clit.
your spasmed on his lap, "k-kenji..."
he blinked up at you, cheek resting on the swellings of your breasts, "is this okay?" he asked with blown pupils, seeking praise from you.
you nodded vaguely, arching towards him, "such a good boy. making me feel good," you pressed kisses all over his face, sucking the spot on his collarbone, "you're my good boy, aren't you? all mine,"
kenji nodded fervently, gazing up at you in awe, "i'm all yours. only yours- oh fuck," he whined pathetically when you kissed and sucked bruises on the column of his throat, fingers buried in the hair at the nape of his neck.
"i'm close," you muttered against his temple, your breaths coming out in ragged gasps.
"me too," he uttered, your knee pushing against his painfully hard cock.
after you orgasmed, kenji felt you sag against his chest.
keeping your word, your slipped your palm past his pants, fingers wrapping around his length, rubbing and pumping.
kenji buried his face in your neck, "m'not gonna last, princess- mmph! shit. shit," he buried his face into the crook of your neck, feeling the sticky warmth of his release coat your palm and his pants.
he could feel there were so much cum, and held onto you as embarassment washed over him.
you pumped him for his worth till he was writhing beneath you, panting for breath.
you rode him out of his high, mumbling soft nothings into his ears.
"did so good. that's my good boy,"
when you pulled your hand out, they were dripping with his cum, oozing along your fingers.
you slipped your fingers into your mouth, eyes rolling back in pleasure, "mmph,"
kenji watched you suck your fingers clean, whining at you needily.
his palms trisled up and down your sides, tomgue protuding out to lick his lips, "princess,"
"hmm?" you licked your fingers clean, eyes fixing with his.
"kiss me, please," he begged, self respect and sensiblity thrown into the wind.
he groaned as he tasted himself on your tongue, his body shivering with pleasure. he kissed you more deeply, his tongue exploring every crook and crevice of your mouth, claiming and possessing you with every movement.
he let out a low, frustrated noise as you pulled back, his eyes fluttering open as he looked up at you.
he was panting and breathless, his lips red and swollen from the intensity of the kiss. he looked at you with a mixture of desire and need, his body still shaking with the aftershocks of pleasure.
kenji felt that this was the right time to ask what he had been wanting for so long, "baby?"
"hm?"
"i want..." the rest of his words were incoherent because he looked away bashfully, feeling scared to voice his thoughts.
"what? didn't catch that, sweetheart," you leaned towards him, "go on, use you words,"
his eyes flicked away from your face, as if he was scared to ask for what he wanted.
but there was a hint of desperation in his voice, a pleading edge that betrayed his neediness and shame.
"i want you to sit on my face," he looked up at you through his lashes, his eyes searching your face for any sign of disapproval or hesitation.
you stilled, surprised yet again, "i'll crush you, honey. you won't be able to breathe," you raked a hand through his finger.
kenji let out a shaky exhale as you responded, his body trembling slightly at the thought, "I...I don't care," he replied, his voice a little breathless with need, "I just...I need you, princess. I need you close to me. please,"
you held his face, noting the way his pupils were blown, his face was flushed and beaded with sweat, chest rising and falling in restlessness.
he looked up at you through half-lidded eyes, completely and utterly under your spell.
he looked so pretty like this
kenji was wearing an expression that was part wonder, part need.
his eyes were wide and filled with love and reverence, his body quivering with vulnerability, as if he was in the presence of a goddess, his own personal sun.
you felt a surge of affection in your heart for him, the way he was in awe of you.
you kissed his forehead softly. kenji felt his heart skip a beat at how gentle you werr being with him.
"what if i suffocate you, or if i'm too heavy?" you questioned, trailing your fingers down the side of his face.
but kenji shook his head adamantly, his eyes still pleading and desperate, "i don't care," he repeated, his voice a little more insistent now, "I want you, princess. I need you. I don't care if you're heavy, I just need to feel you against me,"
seeing that you were contemplating, kenji became more submissive and pliant under you. trying to coax you.
he looked up at you with an imploring expression, his palms running up and down the length of your thighs, "please mama? i want you so bad," he blubbered, snuggling against the swells of your chest, his face squished as he peered up at you with parted lips.
"please, please, let me make you feel good," he sucked a bruise on the top of your chest, "I want to worship you, mama," his lips found a hickey on your collarbone, tongue swiping at it in pride, "I want to make you feel like a goddess," his tone was ragged and breathless, as he nosed up your throat, mouthing at the sweet spot below your ear and pride swelling in him when he pulled a pleased moan from you, "my goddess,"

MASTERLIST
"Breaking news from Tokyo: A baseball game at the Tokyo Dome was disrupted tonight by the sudden appearance of a kaiju. Spectators were evacuated, and the city is currently under high alert."
Your heart pounded as the screen switched to footage of the chaos. The camera panned over terrified spectators fleeing the stadium and a massive kaiju rampaging through the city streets.
At the corner of the footage, you spotted familiar landmarks in the background and felt a knot tighten in your stomach. Those looked like the pictures Kenji sent you for updates.
The newscaster continued, "Among the players was rising baseball star Kenji Sato—“
The sound of glass breaking was heard at the mention of his name. Your tea now spilled on the floor, shards of broken glass around it.
Your breath got caught in your throat. Your boyfriend was there, in the middle of the chaos and there was nothing you could do. You were literally 5,000 miles away on the other side of the planet.
You knew you should’ve listened to your gut when it told you to come with Kenji to Japan. If something bad happens to him tonight, you wouldn’t be able to forgive yourself especially when there was something you could’ve done.
Quickly, you grabbed your phone, trying to call him, but the call went straight to voicemail. Panic surged through you, but you tried to remain as calm as you could.
The news feed cut to shaky footage that showed Kenji at bat with the crowd cheering, but suddenly, screams filled the air as the kaiju appeared overhead. The camera focused on Kenji, his face a mix of determination and fear before he disappeared from view in the ensuing chaos.
That was all the media said that night. It’s not like LA News would take an extra mile for Kenji; so you desperately searched for more information. Unfortunately, updates were sparse.
It was currently 3 AM in LA and your mind raced with worry. Was he safe? Why hadn't he called you?
You didn’t stop looking for information. You’ve checked the whole internet, called hotlines you thought could give you an update, and stayed up til sunrise.
Suddenly, your phone beeped and you have never been this fast on grabbing it. It was a text message from Kenji, "I'm okay. Can't talk now. Please don't worry. I love you.”
You held your phone close to your chest, a temporary relief washing over. You clung to those words but uncertainty still gnawed in you. You had so many questions and no answers.
Little did you know, Kenji was not just caught in the chaos; he was fighting it as Ultraman, a secret he was yet to reveal. The only reason he told you he was going back to Japan was that he wanted to play for the Giants, his favorite team as a child.
It was a random day that he told you he wanted to go back to Japan, and immediately at that. At first, you were hurt, thinking about how it seemed so easy to leave you in LA when you had loose ends you needed to tie first.
Your job demanded your attention. You were in the middle of wrapping up a significant project that required your presence. Your boss was understanding but insisted you complete the handover to your replacement to ensure a smooth transition.
Then your apartment lease was coming to an end. You needed to sort through your belongings, decide what to keep, sell, or store, and handle the logistics of moving out. This was time-consuming, and you had to coordinate with movers and real estate agents.
Lastly, your family. You were born here in LA and only went out of the country for vacations. But with how Kenji decided to stay in Japan for good, you wanted to follow. You couldn't leave without ensuring your parents and siblings were taken care of and comfortable.
Communication with Kenji became difficult in the weeks that followed after the Tokyo Dome incident.
It was a late evening in LA and an afternoon in Japan. You sat by your laptop, staring at the screen, waiting for Kenji's call. The clock ticked past the scheduled time, and your heart sank with each passing minute.
Finally, your phone buzzed with a message, "I'm so sorry, I can't make the call today. Something urgent came up. I'll explain later."
You sighed, typing back a quick reply, "I understand. Stay safe. I miss you." But he never got a chance to explain anything.
Recently, some things urgent have always arisen around Kenji. It wasn't the first time a call had been missed, and you knew it wouldn't be the last.
You were left with nothing but to watch his games and interviews on TV. However, he didn’t seem like himself in all of them. LA’s pride, the Kenji Sato, seemed like a rookie in the Japanese stadium.
His games were all chaotic with some of them ending in fist fights. When the camera focuses on him, you see nothing but an exhausted man. You never saw him like that before which made you worry what the heck is going on over there.
You clearly had no idea, at all, about what was happening to him. The last time you had a call, the connection was poor, and his voice kept cutting out.
"...so much going on here... trying… keep everyone safe..."
"Kenji, I can barely hear you. Can you repeat that?"
“...wish I could talk longer... love you...”
The call dropped before she could respond, leaving her staring at the screen, feeling more alone than ever.
All of these: being kept in the dark, zero communication, and the constant worry were making you rush the things you needed to wrap up before heading to Japan.
There was a time, you told him that you were thinking of coming to Japan first to help him with whatever he was going through, and just be back to LA afterward to take care of the things you left.
But it’s complicated, he said, with things happening that could put you in danger—more than the kaiju attacks, and that it’s better to stay in LA for now. You knew there was something he wasn’t telling you and it scared you.
Kenji promised to explain everything when the time was right. He told him he loves you more than anything and that he’s doing this to protect you.
You didn’t understand anything but you trusted him, waited for him, and been patient with him.
Soon after, it started to seem like things were getting better for Kenji. The Giants were now back on their track and Kenji was back to his usual self, if not better. Communication has been re-established and not a day went by that he didn’t call you.
Before you knew it, the last of your loose ends had been tied and you were finally ready to fly to Japan. You received a message from Kenji, “Things are calmer now. I miss you. Can't wait to see you."
Your heart ached with longing. You had worked tirelessly to clear your schedule and now was finally the moment. You had your flight booked, bags packed, and said goodbye to friends and family.
At the airport, you paused before boarding, sending one last message to Kenji, "On my way. See you soon."
As the plane took off, you stared out the window, the city lights of Los Angeles fading into the distance. The hardest part was over. You were finally on your way to Japan to finally understand everything that had kept you apart, and to be there for Kenji in ways you couldn't before.
The bustling Tokyo airport was filled with the sounds of announcements, the rolling of luggage, and the chatter of travelers. Kenji stood near the arrival gate, his heart racing with anticipation.
He clutched a bouquet of your favorite flowers, his mind a whirlwind of thoughts and emotions. After months of limited communication and the constant weight of his responsibilities as Ultraman, he was finally going to see you.
He scanned the crowd, searching for your familiar face among the sea of strangers. His phone buzzed with a message, and he quickly checked it, “Just landed. Can't wait to see you."
Kenji's heart skipped a beat. Moments later, he spotted you emerging from the gate, eyes darting around, searching for him. Your eyes met, and you broke into a wide smile, your pace quickening as you rushed toward him.
He closed the distance, pulling you into a tight embrace as soon as you reached him. The bouquet was momentarily forgotten, dropped to the floor as he held you close, feeling the warmth and reality of your presence.
"I've missed you so much," you whispered, voice trembling with emotion.
"I've missed you too," Kenji replied, his voice thick with relief and love. "I'm so glad you're here."
You pulled back slightly, looking up at him with a mixture of happiness and concern, "What's been going on?"
Kenji sighed, feeling the weight of the past few months. "There's so much to tell you,” he replied. “But let's get out of here first. I want to take you somewhere we can talk."
He picked up the forgotten bouquet, handing it to you with a sheepish smile, "These are for you."
You took the flowers, your smile widening, “Thank you, Kenji. They're beautiful."
All exhaustion from your 11-hour flight was wiped away at this moment. You were thankful for the naps you took on the plane because you didn’t want to pass out at the moment of your reunion.
The two of you then made your way out of the airport, the chaos and noise gradually fading as you stepped into the relative calm of the parking lot. Kenji led you to his car, loading your luggage into the trunk before opening the passenger door for you.
As Kenji drove through the city, you took in the sights. You’ve never been to Japan before, your excitement mingled with curiosity. "So, where are we going?" You asked.
Kenji glanced at you, a small smile playing on his lips. "I thought we'd go to a park nearby,” he answered. “It's a quiet place where we can sit and talk."
You nodded, reaching out to squeeze his hand. "I've been so worried about you,” you said. “I can't wait to hear everything."
You arrived at the park just as the sun was beginning to set, casting a warm golden glow over the landscape. Kenji found a secluded spot under a large oak tree, spreading out a blanket and setting up the picnic he had prepared.
You sat down together, the peaceful surroundings providing a stark contrast to the turmoil of recent months. Kenji took your hands in his, looking into your eyes.
"I'm sorry for everything," he began. "For not telling you sooner, for the missed calls and the worry. There's something I need to explain."
You looked at him with eyes full of concern and love. "I'm here now, Kenji,” you said. “Whatever it is, we'll get through it together."
He took a deep breath, gathering his thoughts. "A lot has happened since we last saw each other” he started. “I've been dealing with something big, something I couldn't tell you about over the phone."
You watched him intently, grip tightening on his hands, “What is it?"
Kenji sighed, feeling the weight of his secret pressing down on him. "You remember the day of the game when Gigantron attacked?” He asked. “That wasn't the first time something like that happened. And I've been involved in every one of those incidents."
Your eyes widened in shock, but you didn't interrupt, letting him continue. "I'm Ultraman," he confessed, his voice barely above a whisper.
"I've been fighting kaijus to protect the city. And recently, I found myself responsible for raising a baby kaiju who needed my help” he continued. “I couldn’t risk telling anyone, and I didn't know how to tell you."
You sat in stunned silence for a moment, processing everything. "You've been fighting monsters and raising a kaiju baby?” You asked. “Why didn't you tell me? I could have helped."
"I didn't want to drag you into the danger," he said, his voice filled with regret. "But I realize now that keeping you in the dark only made things worse. I'm so sorry for shutting you out."
You looked at him, your eyes softening. "I wish you had told me sooner, but I understand why you didn't,” you replied. “I just want to be there for you, Kenji. We’ll face anything together."
Kenji felt a wave of relief wash over him. "Thank you for understanding,” he said. “I promise, no more secrets and I don’t want to be far away from you anymore."
You held your arms out and gestured for him to hug you. He rested his head on your chest, his safe place. Oh, how he longed for it in the last months when he needed it most.
You could feel his tensed muscles relax at your touch. You peppered his forehead with kisses as you ran your hand lovingly across his hair.
He craved your touches the most and now that he’s in between your arms, it felt as if a heavy weight was taken off his shoulders.
He had so much more to tell but he decided that they were stories for the coming days. There’s no need to rush; after all, you’re here now.
Getting back to his agenda for today, Kenji slowly leaned back. "I hope you're hungry," he said with a grin, placing a small bouquet of wildflowers in the center of the blanket.
On the blanket were an assortment of your favorite foods: sushi, fresh fruit, and homemade mochi. You looked at the spread with delight. "This looks amazing, Kenji,” you said. “You've really outdone yourself."
"I wanted it to be special," he replied. "You deserve the best."
The two of you began to eat, savoring the food and each other's company. Kenji watched you with a soft smile as you tried a piece of sushi. "I remember you loved this one," he said, pointing to a beautifully crafted roll.
Your cheeks slightly flushed from happiness, "This is why I love you!"
As you ate, Kenji told you about the peaceful moments he found in the chaos. He would ask Mina to flash pictures of the two of you together and it would instantly calm him. Even Emi was calmed by it.
You sat in front of Kenji, back pressed against his chest and you between his legs. You held the box of sushis in your hand. From time to time, you’d turn slightly to look up and feed him.
At times, he’d lay his head on your lap, looking up at you, admiring the face he loves. You’d put your hand on his hair, gently stroking it as he tells you all about Emi.
He told you someday he’d take you to meet Emi; he’s sure she would love you. But for now, he just wanted to spend time with you. He felt bad for having neglected you these past months.
After you finished eating, the two of you lay back on the blanket, gazing up at the sky. It was already nighttime by then and the two of you didn’t even notice the time that passed.
Above you, the stars began to twinkle. Kenji pulled you close, wrapping an arm around your shoulders as you rested your head on his bicep. The world around you faded into the background.
"I love you," he whispered, the words carrying all the emotions he had held back.
"I love you too, Kenji," you replied, your voice equally soft. It felt so surreal to hear it in person after months of only hearing it on calls. “More than you'll ever know."

Chapter Ten
masterlist
note: hi everyone! there's not much action going on here in this chapter but i just really wanted to give you guys another chapter. i may do longer wait times between uploading chapters like i did with this one since i deal with motivation issues but im gonna do my best to continue uploading the story till it's finished <3
professor sato stared at the wall of the elevator, his body slowly descending down from the first floor of his sons house. the doors opened, showing ultraman's face blocking any movement forward. he could only stare at him silently as kenji spoke.
"dad, im not asking for complaints, guilt, or criticism. not right now, i just... we need you help." he stepped aside out of the way from professor sato to walk in. a soft gasp escaped him as he looked at the scene before him.
he recognized your ultra form in front of him, holding down what looked like to be a kaiju. a baby one at that. he couldn't help but stare at awe at the sight in front of him. he eyes and mind couldn't believe that an actual baby kaiju laid in front of him.
"y/n, is that you?" he asked, confused about you and his son being together in the same room. he held no knowledge of your connections together. he would only worry about where you would go in the time that you weren't fighting kaijus that attacked. he shook his thoughts off to acknowledge the sight in front of him.
his hands touched the scales that littered their skin. "incredible." before he could say anything, kenji who sat on your side started to talk. "she's hurt dad. we were attacked. i don't know what to do." his voice was shaky, almost as thought he could break down in tears looking at the injured baby.
your heart clenched at the quiver in his voice, wishing you could comfort him but the priority of your babies comfort stood first in line. "she got loose, i should have been there." he gasped out. "no kenji, i should have been there, i was literally there. she got out right under my nose." you said holding the baby in your arms.
professor sato hands neared where the syringe of green liquid was stuck on the babies body. "shh shh" professor sato tried to comfort the pink creature as they whined in pain and fear. "dad please! careful with her." kenji cried out, anxious to see the kaiju he had grown to love was injured.
this was all new to him. growing up as a single child, he had no one to worry about besides his mom when they moved to the states. he had no close family, no younger siblings. he was truthfully forced to grow up too early.
but since the day he had first held the baby kaiju in his arms, he had found himself feeling a way. attached. love if you would call it that. he had grown to love them the way a father would. it was a sweet bittersweet feeling.
"it's okay, its okay, he's not gonna hurt you." said while you rubbed the babies head to soothe them as your other hand found kenji's back to rub. professor sato gently but quickly pulled off the syringe as he watched the way you two interacted. he didn't want to assume but there was a closeness between the two of you.
"it's good to see you again, professor." he smiled while turned to mina. "hello mina." he said holding the green syringe. "it's been a while." mina's voice was gentle, a slight tone of joy seeing the professor after a long while. "it has. can you do me a favor? can you run an analysis on this?" he held out the syringe to the robotic arm that reached for it. mina's 'eye' scanned the syringe.
professor sato turned towards the two of you. "dad, please, do something, help her." kenji whispered out. "please professor." you added on in desperation for help. for anything. he nodded and kneeled slowly with the help of his cane. "mina, it looks like like she might have a broken arm. can you confirm?" he turned to mina who began to scan the arm. "yes, that's correct. she has a mid-humeral fracture with associated hematoma." she finished explaining just when the the baby kaiju cried a little bit. "it's okay it's okay." professor sato comforted her.
mina began to speak up once again. "i have completed the chem analysis, professor sato. it's a powerful sedative, but it's harmless." you let out a breath of relief hearing that the liquid wasn't poisonous in any way. you felt kenji grasp the hand you one had on his back in his own. he squeezed it a comforting manner, making you smile internally.
"can you synthesize a 100 ccs?" professor sato asked mina, which she agreed too. "good, we'll need more." kenji heard his dad, turning to him in shock. "more? why more?!" he yelled in fear. "kenji, you may not agree with me on anything else, but right now, i'm the best chance she has. so please, please, let me help." he softly begged to his son. kenji let out a soft 'okay', giving his dad a nod.
professor sato's torso turned as he reached for the bag at his side. he pulled out a small bunny, one adorned with colors of yellow, green, purple, and red. he held it out to the baby kaiju, allowing you and kenji to see it. "dad, bunny?" he inquired softly.
"it always worked on you." he said softly as he clicked a button. a familiar melody began to play as your baby began to coo in joy. he played bunny on the babies arm, letting her watch it with curiosity.
he then began to sing with the song. "🎶 b-i-n-g-o, b-i-n-g-o," he grabbed his metal cane, placing it in the crevice of her arm. "okay now hold her steady, please y/n." he said as you listened and placed a gentle but sturdy grip on her.
mina's robotic arms came out from the ground as they grabbed at the baby kaijus arms to hold her arm steady. professor sato aligned his hip with the fracture at her hand. with one swift movement, he pushed against it, letting out a crack. in an instant, a cry erupted from the baby kaijus arm from the pain.
▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄
you and kenji sat on the couch of the small room in his base. your eyes watched at you baby kaiju who laid in their containment unit, sleeping peacefully.
professor sato walked into the room with his cane holding a mug. you instinctively shot up from your seat, rushing by over to help him sit down carefully. it's not that he was at an age where he would need help but after his injury from being the past ultraman, you found yourself building a habit of helping him walk.
you led him to sit down on the sofa, taking away the mug he held and placed it on the table in front of kenji. "bad habit." he said looking at kenji who tapped his foot anxiously. you moved back to your spot on the other side of kenji, sitting closer to him for comfort.
"i'd say we did pretty well considering the circumstance." he spoke trying to continue a conversation. kenji turned to him. "dad i- i really appreciate you showing up, i do. but this doesn't make you ultradad. you know, we're not suddenly gonna be best pals."
kenj sat hunched over his right hand holding his face. the atmosphere had done tense. you felt your own body turn rigid from the feeling. as cliche as it sounds, you could almost cut the atmosphere with scissors from how thick it was. you turned to kenji, trying to hint to ask if you could leave, not wanting to be rude or intruding.
you felt his free hand next to you grab you hand nearest to him, silently reassuring you that it was okay for you to listen. professor sato watched the site in front of him once again, taking in these small acts of closeness between the two of you. staying silent once again.
"kenji, y/n, i need to show you something. mina, news please." what was once a window, turned into a tv as cheif officer of KDF, dr. onda, was shown talking on national television. you felt yourself tense up, recognizing the man that you had learned was behind all the kaiju attacks.
"fortunately, the KDF was able to contain the damage and no one was harmed. but the kaiju escaped, and it would appear that ultraman and the new ultra hero are actually defending the beast. the KDF are conducting a massive search for both the creature and the two ultra heroes. we will protect the families of this city. we will get to the bottom of this and we will eliminate the threat."
the news showed clips of the baby kaiju running around, then switching into the KDF jets searching for the missing kaiju. your baby kaiju. professor sato turned to the both of you, who sat intensely watching the new till it was turned off.
"kenji, i have been tracking onda. even y/n has when we would work together more frequently. and until now he's been content on just killing whatever kaiju attacks the city. but somethings changed. he wasn't trying to kill the baby. he wanted her alive. i've known onda for a long time. he is brilliant and cunning. and he will never stop, not until she's captured and you're dead. until you're both dead.
you head snapped towards professor sato, shocked to actually have to acknowledge the truth. kenji's eyes widened, his body had turned stiff as the three of you stared at the baby kaiju who shivered slightly as mina sang to her. you felt your heart clench in fear of her being alone, without you, the two of you.
professor sato sighed at the sight, turning back to kenji. "you and i don't have to be best pals, kenji. but can we at least agree that she is the priority?" he said staring at his son.
"yes, she is." kenji responded looking at his father while you gave him a quick nod. professor sato turned to the two of you. "do you have a plan?" just in that moment, mina came out to the two of you, laying out the plan.
"we thought returning the baby to her natural habitat would be best, professor sato. but the location of kaiju island remains elusive." she spoke. professor began to walk around, almost anxiously. "even if we could find it, without a mother to defend her, the baby might starve, drown, die from hypothermia, or another kaiju could eat her as a snack-"
his panicking rambling was cut off my kenji who spoke sternly. "i got it, i got it." his dad then turned to the two of you, his voice silently desperate. "we have to raise her, the way her mother would have." he said. his eyes were pleading for the two of you to agree as he walked away.
kenji stood up from his spot, pulling you with him as your hands were still intertwined. he then let go as he neared his dad, raising them in shock. "so you're suggesting that you and i- uh ultrapeople, people who are supposed to fight these things, should train this baby to essentially kick our butts?" he spoke as his body jumped with shock with each step he took.
"kenji, she needs us." professor sato spoke softly. kenji turned to you, looking into your eyes for what you would have to say. it might have been your attachment speaking or your mutual agreements with professor sato but you knew that not teaching her was not good.
"we have to kenji. i rather her kick our asses than know that she's struggling to even survive. i need to know she's safe and sound." kenji could only nod slightly, giving you a soft smile as he turned to his dad to agree.

-> for him to have even introduced you to emi, means that he definitely trusts you big time. He didn't even see himself fully taking on such a roll, and honestly, he knew he was in way over his head, which is why he called you up for some assistance. Of course, he didn't disclose the reason for needing your help right away, but he just asked you to trust him....and boy, you were putting a lot of faith in this man.
-> after getting over the initial shock that *he has a fuckinb kaiju in his oversized basement*, you're more than willing to help him out (very loosely using that phrase, mind you). Mina is there also, of course, and she's where you get the bulk of the information since Kenji is usually out on his practices in the beginning. As he grows more comfortable in taking on the paternal role, he gets more involved with the raising of emi. And engages in the things you two do together.
-> for example, he will help with coming up with a learning song for emi - not as annoying as the one she learned from TV, but still entertaining and high energy for her young kaiju mind - or he'll pull up a simulation of a large meadow and the three of you will have a 'day in the park', so to speak.
-> kenji is prone to giving in to her every little cry and beg, which is something you have to break him out of doing considering the extremely big tantrums she can throw if she doesn't get her way. You have to teach him that you both have to me moderate with her - she may be a kaiju, and her acid reflux can destroy entire districts in Tokyo, but that doesn't mean she's absolved from learning discipline.
-> you like to make different meals for her - well, as different in variation as one can get with a Kaiju diet. When Kenji catches a round of fish, you'll try and cook them up with different Seasonings and flavors to see which one she likes best. Even if it's against Professor Sato's recommendation, the pair of you will still do it cuz it's a bonding activity not only for you and Kenji, but for you two and Emi as well.
-> kenji notices Emi's fascination with your hair and has a mannequin head manufactured big enough for her to play with. The baby kaiju uses her claws and beak to 'clean you' and put 'your' hair into different 'styles' (they're usually just little tousles and mats but it's the thought that counts, and she looks so proud of her little creations that both of you can't help but give her praise)
-> sleepovers happen very frequently with you three. Mina will project a movie and snacks are scattered all around. Emi's nomming on her little fish spread you've made her while you and Kenji share a variety of popcorn, chips, and candy. The night ends with the most endearing sight - the two of you cuddled up into each other on Emi's side while she's snuggling with her own blanket that you bout for her. Mina has about a thousand too many pictures of the sight and she refuses to delete them, despite Kenji's begging

glitch
satoru x reader —ᡣ𐭩 fic summary: based on glitch by taylor swift, or you and satoru are hooking up with no feelings attached. well, at least that was the original plan. warnings: fratboy!satoru, suggestive but no actual smut, swearing, shoko/suguru, situationship, gojo being a bit of a douche, mentions of vomit & alcohol (gojo is ooc w/ the alcohol), jealousy, one oc (kenji) in case u are wondering who tf he is. a/n: from my other account & rewritten for my baby w/c: 4.4k
“Are you coming to the party tonight? Or do I need to drag you there by your ankles?” Shoko asked, hands on her hips as she stood in your bedroom doorway. She was dressed and ready to go, head tilted as she observed you in the pink flannelette pyjama set she bought for you.
“I don’t want to go, Sho. I feel a migraine coming on.” Lie.
Shoko rolled her eyes as you dramatically dragged the back of your hand across your forehead. “You’ve gotta be kidding.”
You shook your head. “I would never.”
Shoko sighed and pulled her phone out of her back pocket. “Okay, have fun on your own. I hope you feel better,” She pouted before turning and leaving. “Bitch.”
Your jaw dropped open, a smile forming on your lips as Shoko laughed loudly. “Love you!”
Shaking your head, you tapped your phone screen, seeing a message. “Love you, too. Don’t have too much fun with me!”
“I would never,” Shoko threw your words back at you as she shut the front door to your shared apartment.
The vibrations of the door closing reverberated throughout the flat, confirming Shoko’s departure. You quickly opened up your messages.
Satoru She gone?
You Yep
You locked your phone and got out of bed, rushing to the bathroom. You stripped out of the long pyjamas and threw on pyjama shorts and a tank top, quickly brushing your teeth and flattening your hair.
A quiet knock on the front door signalled Satoru’s arrival, and you washed out your mouth and ran to the door to greet him.
He stood tall in the hallway, a black hoodie and his hair loose, the white strands looking slightly dull in the warm light.
“Hey,” You smiled at him, heat rising to your cheeks as you watched his eyes trail down your body from behind his round black sunglasses despite the darkness outside.
He didn't say anything as he stepped forward to capture your lips with his, a cheeky smirk on his mouth. You had half a mind to close and lock the door behind him as he walked you back into the living area, his hands on your hips.
“Nice to see you,” You mumbled bitterly on his lips. Gojo laughed when he felt you pull on the ends of his hair.
He leaned back from your face, his eyes heavy and dimples visible. “I know you missed me, sweetheart.”
You rolled your eyes and smacked his bicep. "Dick."
Satoru laughed, pursing his lips in mischief.
Sighing, you slid your hands to his waist while he moved to your cheeks.
“Not going to the party?” You asked, already knowing his answer.
He scoffed and kissed your forehead, leaving his lips there. “Can’t.”
“Why?” You teased, shoving your hands under his hoodie to run your fingers along the skin of his abdomen.
He shivered and looked down at you. “Got a hot date.”
Your eyes widened, and your lips opened in false shock. Satoru’s fingertips traced your jaw softly, his head tilting with eyes full of desire.
“A hot date, yeah?”
His lips on yours stopped you, and you pushed his hair off his forehead, running your hands back to sit behind his neck. Satoru laid you on the couch, toeing his shoes off. He climbed on top of you, his long limbs covering you.
Satoru pulled away, his nose brushing yours. “Some would go as far as to say the hottest date ever.”
You shook your head shyly, laughing with your hands in his hair. As his mouth moved to your neck, you brought him closer.
You felt Satoru’s teeth on your skin as he grinned.
“When’s Shoko back?” He muttered, continuing his attack on your neck.
Your eyes rolled to the back of your head as he pushed his thigh between your legs. “Later.”
Satoru paused and pulled away. “I need specifics.”
You sighed and looked at the ceiling, furrowing your eyebrows at his antics. “Like, 11.”
He smiled again and pecked your lips. “Perfect.”
Shoko’s yelling from the kitchen woke you up. You rolled over in bed, body aching as you reached for the pillow beside you and shoved your head under it. “Y/n, get out here right now!”
Usually, you could tell the difference between Shoko’s exclamations of excitement, joy, anger, exasperation, and upset. But right now, it was a mixture of all five that scared you the most.
You hopped out of bed, and when you realised your bare body, you tossed on a hoodie that had previously been on the floor. “Just a second!”
Shoko was pacing; you could tell. You combed through your memories of last night, blushing at the thought of most of them, but you couldn’t remember forgetting anything in the living room.
Opening your bedroom door, Shoko walked back and forth between the kitchen counter and couch, her thumbnail between her teeth.
“Sho,” You said, catching her attention. The brunette’s head shot up at the sound of your voice, and she rushed over.
“Suguru and I kissed last night!” She exclaimed, latching onto the backs of your arms.
Your mouth hung open at the news, although your heart lept for her. “No way.”
“And then I asked him if it was good,” She cringed, screwing her eyes shut.
You scrunched your nose. “You didn’t.”
“I did!” Shoko gasped. “He’s our best friend. Why would I do something so stupid?”
“Shoko!” You interrupted her anxiety-ridden questions. “He’s known and liked you forever. Suguru wouldn’t ruin your friendship like that. He knew what he was doing when he kissed you.”
Shoko sighed and tilted her head.
“Shit,” Her voice was higher than usual as she pondered your response. “Okay. That made me feel better.” She let go of your arms.
“Seriously?”
Shoko nodded and then groaned. “We have to see him this afternoon.”
You furrowed your eyebrows. “Why?”
“Satoru invited us to the house to hang out this afternoon. So, Suguru will be there, obviously.”
Satoru and Suguru were part of a frat, so they lived in a house, not a college dorm or an apartment. You had been there countless times during college due to the parties they threw, but mostly because you were in a friend group with the boys, Shoko and Utahime, whom you hadn’t seen in a while.
The problem was, nobody knew you and Satoru were seeing each other—it was more of a friends-with-benefits situation than a secret relationship deal, much to your dismay.
But, at the sound of his name, you blanched. Shoko had turned around to pace again so she didn’t see your surprised expression. “Uh—Yeah, okay. Sounds good.”
She spun around sharply. “Why did you hesitate?”
“I didn’t,” Your eyes widened.
But Shoko shook her head. “You did. Why? Is it Satoru?”
Your breath got stuck in your throat. “No, why would it be him?”
Shoko shrugged. “He just wasn’t there last night. Someone said he was on a date, and I was going to ask you if you knew, but I suspected it was a sensitive topic for you because you have a crush on him.”
You sighed in relief, masking it as a disappointed one. “Who he dates is none of my business. And I don’t have a crush on him.”
“But it is! You’re best friends; did he not tell you?” Shoko said, ignoring the last part of your sentence.
“No, Shoko.”
She gasped. “What a dick.”
Then, with a flick of her hand, she walked back to her room. “I’ll get it out of him one way or another.”
When Shoko closed her bedroom door, you wiped your eyes with your fists to rid your eyelids of images of Satoru from last night.
At 4 pm, you and Shoko stood outside Satoru and Suguru’s frat house. It was much cleaner than the others but still held a faint stench of alcohol and sensuality—much like every fraternity house.
“It’ll be okay, Sho. It’s just Suguru, who you’ve known for ages. Nothing to be afraid of,” You reassured Shoko as you knocked on the door. Usually, you would walk straight in, but from recent experiences, you’ve learned to wait and give the other house members a warning before entering.
“I could say the same thing about Satoru. He’s not scary, Y/n; just talk to him,” She replied.
You felt guilty for not telling her about you and Satoru’s situationship. It was years in the making.
“Hey, losers,” A voice you would know anywhere spoke when he opened the door. You looked up at him through your lashes as he grinned at you.
Satoru wore a black shirt and grey sweatpants. His hair was loose with his neck and hickeys exposed.
Shoko gasped at the sight of them. “So you did go on a date last night!” She pointed at him, and Satoru gave her a tight-lipped smile.
“Not that I’m trying to hide it, but how does everyone know?” He asked, glancing at you.
“Not everyone,” Shoko poked her thumb in your direction. “I can’t believe you didn’t tell Y/n.”
Satoru’s eyebrows jerked upward. “I didn’t tell anyone directly, Shoko.”
The shorter girl hummed and slipped inside through the gap between Satoru and the doorframe. “I’m watching you, Gojo.”
He rolled his eyes and turned to face you when Shoko was gone. “Hi.”
You smiled at him. “Hello, Satoru. Have a good night?”
“Great night, actually. Thanks for asking,” He smirked, stepping aside to let you inside.
You could feel Satoru’s eyes on you throughout the afternoon and into the night. You had snuck a few glances at most for fear the others would notice, but Satoru didn’t have a care in the world. He openly stared at you, drinking in your body while swimming in thoughts from the night before.
Shoko had been looking between the two of you, connecting the dots in her head while she and Suguru spoke softly. They had been trying to figure out the odd behaviour of their best friends for a while, feigning innocence when asked about it. From disappearing at the same time during classes to making excuses on nights of planned events, they quickly realised that you and Satoru were together, and it was just a matter of time before everyone else came to the same conclusion.
It seemed Utahime was next as she glanced at Shoko before she spoke. Shoko shook her head, but it was too late to intervene.
“Satoru?” Utahime snapped. Her face was void of emotion as she called him.
“Yeah?” His gaze lazily swung to her, a dimple visible as he smirked. He hadn’t been bothered to tuck the loose hair behind his ears, allowing a few strands to hang over his eyes, something he knew you loved.
“Aren’t you getting bored ogling Y/n?”
Suguru, Shoko, a few other frat boys, and their guests looked in Satoru’s direction and then yours.
Satoru shrugged, his gaze leaving her to focus on you again. “No.”
You felt heat rush your cheeks as his eyes looked directly into yours across the room.
“What about your date last night? Wouldn’t she be upset you’re checking out another girl?” Hana, one of the sorority girls, asked. Her friends around her whacked her shoulders after she spoke.
Satoru exhaled deeply and then stood up. He didn’t reply as he walked into the kitchen.
“Satoru?” Hana called.
“Yes, Hana?”
“Who was the girl?”
Satoru returned to the living room with a beer bottle in his hand. “Doesn’t matter. Nobody’s business but my own.”
You felt a sharp pang in your chest.
“But everyone wants to know. Is she your girlfriend?”
Satoru poked the inside of his cheek with his tongue and let out an easy laugh. The room grew quiet as everyone listened in.
“No, Hana. She’s not,” His forefinger brushed the side of his nose.
“Does she even go to college? Is she older?” Hana giggled with a few of the other girls. Their laughter made you bite your bottom lip in discomfort. “Is it someone’s mom?”
The other frat boys hollered at the mention of an older woman, but Satoru glanced at you while the girls were conspiring, annoyance painting his features. A muscle in his jaw twitched.
“Why does it matter?” He spat, sitting on the couch. He raised an eyebrow at her and watched Hana shrink in her seat.
“I guess it doesn’t, jeez,” Hana had a look of disgust on her face. “Dickhead.”
“Yeah, maybe,” Satoru stood up again with his hands out in front of him, the neck of the bottle swinging between his fingers. “But at least I’m not one of those people like you who get off on gossiping about other people’s lives. Fuck off.”
The room sat in awkward silence, so Satoru threw his arm up and took the stairs two at a time to get to his room quicker.
Shoko winced, her teeth together as she looked at you in question. You widened your eyes and shook your head in unknowing.
Someone across the room cleared their throat and started chatting again to break the tension.
“We should go,” Shoko said to Suguru, getting your attention. Then she kissed him and hopped off the lounge. “Let’s go.”
Your eyes widened at your best friends' interaction, and you followed her out, waving back at Suguru.
“I should’ve followed him,” You said as you got into the passenger seat of Shoko’s car.
“Why?” She asked, and you knew she knew. You gave her a deadpan look, and she gasped and turned to face you in the small car.
“You bitch! You and Satoru are dating!” Her smile was wide.
You scrunched up your face. “What? No, we’re not dating.”
Shoko’s face dropped, confusion replacing her once excited manner. “What?”
“We’re not dating. We’re, like, you know,” You avoided telling it how it was. It hurt you too much sometimes.
“Fucking?”
You cringed. “Yeah.”
Shoko shrugged and turned her key in the ignition. She could tell you didn’t want to speak on it further. “Better than not, right?”
You sighed, smiling sadly at her. “Sometimes.”
Satoru had briefly mentioned he was coming over. You warned Shoko that he would be over, to which she giggled.
“I can’t believe it,” She sighed. “The two biggest losers in the universe are hooking up. And nobody figured it out until now. Insanity.”
You ignored her as you gave your eyelashes a final swipe of mascara. Shoko sat on your bed and watched you finish up your preparation. She found it fascinating that you had kept this a secret for so long despite her purposeful attempts at making you slip up.
“You’re being safe, right?” Her tone was laced with concern, and you were surprised at her sudden question.
You nodded and spun around on the floor in front of the mirror. “Nothing to worry about, Sho.”
“I mean emotionally. Is being with him like this worth it? Is it what you want?” You know she didn’t mean any harm; she was just asking the real questions, but the sudden turn in conversation had you reeling.
You sighed and turned back to the mirror, a blush brush between your fingers.
“No, I don’t think so,” You refused to think about the future and how this situation would affect your friendship in the long run. Maybe you would’ve asked him out in another life instead of suggesting this.
Shoko nodded and decided not to press further. She put a smile on her face; whether it was false for your sake, you didn’t ask.
“What time did you say he was getting here?” She sat scrutinising her dark nail polish as she asked.
You glanced at your phone lock screen. “Now.”
Shoko simply laughed and stood up, hearing the expected knock on the front door.
“Don’t embarrass him too much.”
“I will,” She winked and went to greet him.
Shoko opened the front door, and by the look on Satoru’s face, he wasn’t expecting to see her.
Satoru stammered before he spoke. “Shoko! Hi, how are you?” His voice twinged with unusual nervousness, and he shoved his hands in his pockets. Shoko smiled sarcastically at him.
“I didn’t know you were coming over tonight,” Then she peered into the hallway. “Is Suguru coming up too?”
“Uhm, uh, no. I just need to help Y/n with something.”
“What? Classwork, notes, outfit options?” She squinted at him in suspicion.
Satoru smiled awkwardly at her. “Yeah, uh, class stuff.”
“What class?”
“You know….” His cheeks flushed a light red, a laugh escaping his lips.
Shoko furrowed her eyebrows in confusion. He was awful at lying when put on the spot, but she guessed that was a good thing. Satoru tucked his hair behind his ear and refused to meet her eyes.
“You are hopeless,” Shoko sighed. “Well, I gotta get going; I’m meeting Suguru for dinner.”
She turned and walked back inside to grab her bag. Shoko brushed past you in the hallway. “Come on! He's so bad at this,” She exasperated. All you did was laugh, and then Shoko squeezed past Satoru to leave.
“You have fun now!” Shoko winked and Satoru paled.
Once Satoru knew she was in the elevator, he shut the door behind him, and you walked out of your room to see him wringing out his hands anxiously.
“Nice chat with Shoko?”
Satoru sighed and shook his head, breaking a smile. “Fuck. You didn’t tell me she would be here.”
You put your hands up in surrender. “You told me when you were coming over.”
He nodded and walked toward you. “Guess I should’ve asked first.”
“No, that was pretty entertaining,” You contemplated, looking into his eyes. The blue turned darker the longer you stood there.
“You’re so—” Satoru grabbed at your waist, tickling your sides. You screamed in laughter, trying to push his hands off you.
“Get off!” You squealed when he picked you up. Making his way to your room, Satoru snickered beside your head, his hot breath in your ear before throwing you on your bed.
You watched Satoru strip out of his white hoodie, leaving him in just a black tee and grey sweats before he clambered on top of you. “You’re gonna pay for that.”
“Really?” You teased, an eyebrow raised.
Satoru nodded, pushing flyaways out of your face softly. “Would I lie to you, baby?”
You giggled and brushed his stomach. “Yeah, I guess I would know if you were lying. Your performance before was shit.”
And then Satoru’s long fingers found your sides again.
“Come on!” Shoko ran into your room with her phone clutched in her hand as she urged you to hurry up. “We’re going to be late!”
You touched up your make-up and ensured your hair cooperated before leaving.
Shoko practically pulled you towards the Uber, giggling when you nearly tripped. It was clear a few beverages were consumed before she entered your room.
Once on your way, you fished your phone out of your bag, seeing texts from Satoru, who was already seemingly drunk.
Satoru When are will you b here I saved yu a seat on the couch u look so hot right now i knw it
Heat rose to your cheeks as you read the last one. You shoved your phone back in your bag and sat in anticipation.
Upon arrival, the frat house was already overflowing with college students, most of whom you’d never seen before. You glanced at the sky; the stars were bright as they twinkled across the deep indigo sky.
Walking up to the house with Shoko, you already had to sidestep empty beer cans and vodka bottles, cringing when someone threw up in the garden to your right.
Shoko threw you a disgusted look. “I hate these people.”
You pushed her shoulder and laughed. “You wanted to come!”
The brunette nodded solemnly and took the front steps two at a time. A group of guys pushed past you as you entered, the stench of sweat and beer leaking from their pores. You wrinkled your nose and hit Shoko’s back softly so she would walk faster.
“Geto!” You could barely hear her over the music, but when Shoko disappeared into the crowd, you knew she’d spotted Suguru. Standing on your own, you pushed onto your toes to try and search for Satoru. The house was glowing a deep red due to the overhead lights, making it difficult to see.
Satoru usually wasn’t hard to find due to his height and head of white hair. Yet, he was nowhere in sight. You sighed and dropped to your feet before squeezing through the crowd to the kitchen.
Red solo cups and glass bottles littered the countertop, puddles of unknown liquid dripping onto the floor. Stepping around the island, you noticed a girl from your class pouring drinks.
“Hey!” She said, handing you a cup. “Jungle juice?”
Her bright eyes watched your forehead crease in curiosity and disgust as you took the cup from her. “Thanks?”
She laughed and continued talking to a guy in her finance course.
“Have a good night, Y/n!” She called after you.
You slipped back into the throng of people, sipping the concoction and nearly gagging. Gross.
“Y/n?” A deep voice exclaimed, causing you to turn. You saw Kenji push through to get to you, and you tried to mask your surprise. Kenji had graduated two years before you and your friends and had something going on with Utahime—something you didn’t dare ask the girl for fear you’d get your lips sewn together.
“Kenji, hi,” You smiled. “What’re you doing here?”
He shrugged. “I was bored and decided to check out the party.”
Conversations with Kenji typically went like this—small talk about college classes and jobs and why the alcohol the frat was handing out was so shit.
“Where’s Satoru? You’re usually attached at the hip,” His question sent a jab to your stomach. You were reminded you didn’t know where he was.
“Not sure. I’ll have to find him. It was nice seeing you, Ken,” You genuinely smiled at him, and Kenji nodded.
“You too, Y/n. Good luck trying to find him.”
You laughed and went to the outside area, where you assumed Satoru would be. With no luck, you turned back inside. But before you could search for Shoko instead, you caught him rushing up the stairs.
Shoko, who you had also been looking for, called your name from the couch and motioned for you to talk to him. You knew she knew what was going on.
So, this time, you went against your better judgement and followed him upstairs with Shoko’s eyes following you.
You knew which room was his and didn’t knock as you entered.
Satoru sat on his bed. A half-empty beer bottle sat forgotten on his desk as his eyes traced patterns in the carpet.
“Baby,” You whispered, shutting the door behind you.
“No,” He said sharply, not meeting your eyes. "Go away."
Your forehead creased, and your chest hurt at his immediate dismissal.
“Satoru,” You sighed. “What happened? I'm not leaving until you tell me.”
It was a childish attempt, but you were desperate to know why he was so upset.
He shook his head and looked up, pain swimming in his blue eyes behind his usual black sunglasses. “There’s nothing to speak about.”
You took a step towards him, your concern flipping to irritation. “There is—”
“There isn’t!” Satoru exclaimed and stood up. “You made up your mind when you laid down the rules for this.” His hand motioned between you, and you knew what he was mad about. He had obviously seen you talking to Kenji, got the wrong idea, and then anxiety overran his rational mind.
“We were supposed to be just friends, Satoru,” You reminded him, avoiding eye contact because if you did, you would cave. You wanted to see how far this would go, to see if he actually loved you like you wanted him to. “Nowhere did it say either of us had the right to get jealous. We were supposed to be just hooking up.”
“Just friends?” Satoru shook his head, a spiteful smirk on his face. “Do you know how stupid that sounds? Look at us!”
Oh, how quickly this had escalated.
You bit your lip, not knowing what to say. Sure, you had gotten uncontrollably jealous in recent months when you saw him flirting with girls, and sure, you had cried yourself to sleep when he didn’t text you back, but you always denied it was because you loved him. Yet, the realisation didn't surprise you because you were expecting it.
Satoru shook his head and jabbed his thumb into his hard chest. “I’m getting jealous over some guy simply talking to you! That shouldn’t happen between just friends.”
“That’s not my fault! We agreed to stay friends.”
“You agreed to that, remember? I just sat there while you rattled out those stupid rules.”
“I know!” You pleaded, your hands in front of you as you watched his bored expression. You tried to stop yourself from saying the following words, but you couldn't deny yourself or him the potential of a relationship. It wasn't fair.
“I wish I hadn’t.”
“Why?” His voice was indifferent, but you could see a spark in his eye.
“You know why.”
Satoru stood up from his spot on the bed. “I want to hear you say it.”
“Satoru, please.” You begged, closing your eyes.
“Y/n, say it,” He whispered, his voice dropping from its previous frustrated tone. “Because if you don’t, I will live the rest of my life in regret for ending things with you.”
You blinked at him, your eyes weary as you stepped closer. “Satoru.”
“Please, Y/n. I need to know that this was all real.”
You sighed, reaching up to caress his cheek. Satoru leaned into your touch, his eyes never leaving yours.
“I love you, and I have since I met you,” You uttered, your voice soft and warm. Satoru visibly exhaled and took your hands in his. “And if you don’t love me back, I’ll live the rest of my life in complete and utter embarrassment for misreading this.”
Satoru rolled his eyes playfully, and the corner of his mouth turned upward as you threw his words at him.
“Of course I love you,” He whispered. “Never think any different, okay?”
You wrapped your arms around his neck. “Well, I think there’s been a glitch in our system.”
Satoru tilted his head. “A good glitch?”
You nodded. “A great one.”

Options, Pt.3
Arajin/f!Reader/Marito
Summary: Arajin and Marito grow closer to you over time and start becoming more open about their intentions, but a wrench is thrown into the works when you receive a confession on Valentine's day. wc: 3.7k A/N: warnings for violence, possessive behavior, general toxic behavior, jealousy, crying, angst, Marito being a borderline yandere (honestly it's not hard to see canon him as a potential one). Also the OC is meant to be a reference to Harima Kenji from School Rumble (another lovable delinquent character lol) Enjoy!
As time went on, you, Arajin, and Marito began a comfortable routine; at first you would typically spend time with Arajin, whether at the Chu Chu restaurant, milling around the local shopping center, or studying at the library. Sometimes Marito would show up, usually unannounced, or Arajin would suggest oh so casually if you wouldn’t mind his boyfriend joining the two of you. You couldn’t say the exact time where Marito’s presence was a given; it got to the point where you were so used to him being around, it was more strange for him to not show up. Marito would surprise you sometimes, creeping up on you, saying “boo” or growling under his breath; it escalated to finding yourself regularly trapped in a loose embrace, an arm over your shoulders caging you to his side, or just a hand ruffling your hair just a little too roughly. He was as clingy with you as he was with Arajin now and to his delight, you never shrunk away or gave him any indication you weren’t just as pleased to be in his company as Arajin’s (unless Mahoro was present and glaring daggers; you didn’t want to rattle the tiger’s cage).
Arajin, of course, was becoming bolder and bolder, albeit in his own way. He would hover and fuss whenever he wasn’t latched to Marito; he’d shower you in compliments for the most (at least in your opinion) insignificant things and basically insisted on being at your disposal for any and every inconvenience. Arajin refused to let you carry anything but your own purse, if that, would strip off his top layer the moment you shivered at a slight chill, even offering to blow on your drink if it was too hot to taste without burning the tip of your tongue. At one point while the two of you were walking around, there was a sudden and heavy downpour; Marito and you were fine waiting it out, but Arajin insisted on running over to the nearest convenience store to buy an extra large umbrella for the three of you to walk under, along with a pack of tissues and a hot tea in case you somehow caught cold from being a touch damp.
Marito never showed any sign of jealousy or irritation at his boyfriend’s doting on you; you weren’t sure what to make of it. From what you heard, Marito, to put it lightly, was not a particularly giving or forgiving person. Yet, he seemed not only apathetic to Arajin’s behavior but amused.
No, more than that. There was a pattern that you couldn’t unsee when you finally got around to noticing how Marito would behave every time Arajin took more liberties with his indulgence of you: ruffling his hair, whispering things into his ear until he turned into a blushing mess, pulling him in close to blow raspberries on his cheeks, trapping him in bone crushing bear hugs, laughing and smirking all the while. It was as if Marito was praising Arajin, granted usually in a sort of teasing, roughhousing sort of way, for becoming more confident in expressing himself around you.
What’s more, when Marito did this, he would stare at you. Sometimes a brief glance and a wink; other times he would make direct eye contact and not break it until Arajin said something to regain his full attention. Those looks, deliberate and intense, left you with a dry mouth and a rapidly beating heart, not because you were intimidated and you didn’t believe it was Marito’s intention to do so in the first place. You swear, those fervent, almost hypnotizing looks were calling for you to…do something. That’s where you were officially stumped.
At least, until today.
“This is for you.”
You take the letter, a little dumbstruck; it was a plain white envelope, sealed with a red, heart shaped sticker.
“Read it first before you give me your answer. I’ll be at the clubhouse after school, near the spot where that old pond froze over. Will you come?”
You’re gripping the letter lightly in your hands; you’ve only spoken to Harima Kenji a handful of times. He’s one of many Siguma recruits you’ve made small talk with in times you dropped by to visit Marito and Arajin or met them on the way to go somewhere else. Harima is a newbie and you were shocked to learn he was a second year student. With his large build, goatee, and severe looks, you had honestly assumed he had been held back a year or two. The impression you got from the brief interactions you’ve had is that Harima was a lot more sincere and earnest than his rough way of speaking and near constant scowl implied. To think, he would do something so…romantic and on Valentine’s day no less. Had he been waiting to give this letter to you for the occasion? Just the thought made your heart swell a bit, touched at the sentiment.
“I know this is sudden, but I can’t stop thinking about you. I want you to be my Valentine and...be mine. Even if you can’t accept my feelings, I hope you’ll take some time to consider me.”
“...okay.” You smile shyly. “I’ll come with my answer after school.”
“Thank you!” Harima clenched his fists at his side and bowed his head slightly; he hasn’t smiled once this whole encounter, but his eyes practically shine when you smile and his cheeks flush so bright you can see it under his whiskers. “I’ll be waiting.”
You’re left alone, standing at your shoe cubby, still feeling a bit shocked; perhaps that was why you didn’t notice Arajin. He had dived right back around the corner, sweaty palms clutching a small box of chocolates and a bushel of daisies, as he unwittingly eavesdropped on the exchange.
“Who confesses with letters these days?”
Marito cocked his head to the side slightly, examining the way Harima struggled to get up; his uniform was half soaked by slush and mud. Arajin was off to the side near the edge of the pond, eyes rimmed red and looking conflicted; he didn’t think Marito would go this far. When he ran off to tell Marito what he had seen, panicked and heart heavy, he thought he would just scare the rookie a bit, get him to back off. Everyone within Siguma was aware who you were and that you were off limits. Besides, Arajin was almost positive you were going to reject Harima anyway; it wouldn’t hurt for Marito to lay down the law and nip the problem in the bud, right?
“Aren’t you just an old-fashioned romantic? A confession by hand written letter, asking her to meet you after school.” Marito waited until he was half standing to send another swift kick to Harima’s wobbling legs. “Kenji-kun, I knew you were kinda stupid, but not this stupid. And as if your blatant disrespect wasn't bad enough, you upset my Ara-teen; another strike against ya.”
“Sh-she accepted my letter.” Harima grunts, doubled over, but face raised to glower up at Marito through swollen eyes. “She coulda thrown it out…turned me down right then if she really wanted to, crazy bastard. You have no right-!”
“Now how are you still able to talk?”
Another kick, this time to the ribs; Harima heaves, spitting up what Marito assumes is whatever he had for lunch earlier. The ground is cold and wet from the half melted snow; it’s slippery and Harima can’t seem to get his footing; frankly, he’s strong, but far outclassed and up against one very pissed off juvenile delinquent. Marito allows some space, watching unimpressed as Harima tries to stand; he had put up a decent enough fight initially, but he’s all power and no stamina from what Marito can see. Finally, Harima collapses on his hands and knees with a curse.
“Eat shit.”
“Hm? Did you say something?” Marito leans down slightly, hand cupped around his ear. “Gotta speak up.”
“Dammit, I give, you crazy fuck.” Harima manages to growl. “She’s coming to see me either way.”
Marito clicks his tongue, shaking his head in faux disapproval. “I guess you weren’t as serious about her as you claimed to be. All it took was a little roughing up and a couple shattered ribs. Where’s the passion?”
Arajin steps forward, eyes wide and unable to keep the tremor from his voice. “Marito, maybe that’s enough? You didn’t need to-”
“Arajin, if you can’t stomach it, you can wait for me inside.” Marito smiles blithely over his shoulder. “Aw, don’t worry, I ain’t going to kill him. I won’t even kick him out of Siguma, not yet anyway. I still have a use for him.”
“But, he's hurt really bad. This is way too much.”
“Isn't this what you wanted?”
“I never told you to beat anyone up!”
“C'mon, you had to know what would happen once you blew the whistle.” Marito grins without a trace of mirth. “Just a while ago you were bawlin’ your eyes out to me about losing your chance with her, after all these years, after finally getting some nerve to start making moves. Ara-teen, we're so close to making her ours. We need to put this loser in his place and make an example of him.”
Harima groans; he’s trying to get up. Marito’s smile falls; he moves forward to grab Harima by the hair and slams his face straight down into the cold mud. Arajin’s stomach churns at an audible, sickening crunch and Harima’s sharp scream of pain.
“Whoops, looks like you broke your nose.” Marito’s nails dig into Harima’s scalp, holding him down, easily ignoring the hands grabbing and scratching at his wrist. “Go on lover boy, make your confession! Fuck, you're pathetic.”
Marito yanks Harima’s head up so the other boy can get one desperate gulp of air, before grabbing his face with both his hands. Blood gushes from Harima’s nostrils to mix with the mud and snot as his face makes contact with Marito’s knee. As he recoils, Harima’s mouth opens and Marito cackles, seeing a gap in his teeth; it’s probably buried in the mud now.
“Marito!” Arajin rushes over, finally gaining feeling in his stiff legs; he kneels down and tries to pull back Marito’s arm, but he hardly budges. He’s honestly terrified of Marito right now, but he feels more guilty.
Marito was right; Arajin knew that something like this at the very least could happen. He hoped. He wanted Marito to throw his weight around and put a stop to Harima’s pursuit of you because in his heart, Arajin didn’t know if you would accept his feelings. Arajin didn’t know for sure and he wasn’t willing to cross that line but he didn’t want you to leave him behind either, be with someone else.
You looked so flattered, glowing from Harima’s request. It scared him. It made him want to throw up and so he ran away, candy and crushed flowers in hand, because Arajin couldn’t bring himself to approach you the same way. He was more willing to let someone get the shit kicked out of them to have a better shot at you. Arajin has never felt more sick with himself.
“Dammit you have to stop!” Arajin pleads, grabbing at Marito, using what strength he had to try and pry him away. “Enough is enough!”
“This isn’t close to enough. I can’t believe you thought…what did you think? I’d just hand her over? To you?” Marito stares at his subordinate's bloodied and bruised face with utter disgust. “It’s an insult is what it is: this weak bitch…fuck, you really thought you would get away with it, didn’t ya? That you could make a move on our girl?!”
Arajin is shoved away unceremoniously, sent back skidding in the snow; Marito isn’t smiling anymore. His breathing is as labored as Harima’s as he begins stomping anywhere he can reach. Harima is all but unconscious as his body is kicked over and over, in quick, brutal succession.
Marito scraps the sole of his boot against Harima’s face like he’s trying to get the mud off and it earns him a pained moan and now there’s blood mixed with the mud. Marito can hardly stand to look down on him: Harima is nobody, an NPC, a nameless red shirt. He couldn't take a few well placed punches at half of Marito’s strength. The very suggestion that you had accepted Harima’s corny bullshit love letter with a smile almost made Marito angry with you. How could you even entertain it? Why should anyone else even matter to you, let alone someone so beneath him?
“Get up." Marito demands, digging his heel into Harima’s neck. “You limp dicked, shit-for-brains loser, get the fuck up! If you even think about looking at her again, and I’ll-”
“Marito!”
Marito turns to send a nasty glare Arajin’s way, but it’s not him who’s running at breakneck speed to Harima’s side. You slip in the mud a little short of where Harima’s head is resting on the cold ground, but you crawl the rest of the way. A look of abject horror changes your features in a way Marito has never seen.
“Harima? Harima, are you okay?” You frantically try to push away Marito’s leg. “Stop it, what are you doing to him?!”
“You need it spelled out?” Marito taps Harima’s temple with the tip of his boot before moving back a step; he’s smiling now, grinning down at you, blood and mud splattered over his clothes. “Don’t worry, kitten. He won’t ever bother you again. No need to give him an ‘answer’; I made sure Kenji-kun got the message loud and clear.”
You silently reach into your skirt pocket and take out a handkerchief.
"Gross." Marito makes a gagging noise as you begin gently wiping Harima’s swollen face. He’s able to open one eye, watching as you clean off as much as you can with the scrap of cloth.
“Harima? Don’t fall asleep; do you think you have a concussion?”
“You came.” Harima turns his head slightly as a tear runs down his cheek; he can barely speak with his split, swollen lip. “I’m sorry. Just go: I don’t want you to see me this way.”
“Harima,”
“Ugh, knock it off, crybaby; I barely hit you.” Marito rolls his eyes in disdain as you help Harima rise to a sitting position. “Really milking it for those sympathy points, huh?”
Harima rests his head on your shoulder, breaths shallow but steady. You won’t even look at Marito.
“Is this the “Siguma pride’ you told me about? Threatening your members? And for what?” You ask quietly. “I’m not a prize to be won.”
“He’s a loser.”
“This isn’t a game.” You snap, your cold stare wilting when Arajin catches your eyes. “Is this what you do now? You don’t fight anymore, but you’re okay letting someone else do it for you. You can’t work up the nerve to be honest with me about your feelings but I guess you can stomach this just fine?”
“No.” Arajin denies; his guts feel like they’re being twisted. “I didn’t want this.”
“I don’t want to hear your excuses. I can’t even look at you right now.” You tell him. “I can’t believe-I thought we were friends, I thought-”
“You belong to us.” Marito states calmly. “Everyone else knows but this idiot, apparently.”
“I’m not a thing you can put a claim on!”
“I did,” Marito replies. “And I am. I won’t let anyone else have you.”
You shake your head, as if in disbelief; Marito bends down, reaching for your arm to haul you up. Before Marito can lay a finger on you, Harima slaps his hand away.
“Leave her alone.” Harima wheezes; he’s rolled over slightly in front of you, as if to shield you from the offending touch. “I’m sorry. This happened because I wasn’t strong enough.”
“Nah it's ‘cause you’re a fuckin’ loser.” Marito jeers, sticking his tongue out at Harima’s scowl. “Now, kitten, don’t make me be rough with you; Ara-teen and I just wanna have a chat to clear up things.”
“We do, really.” Arajin puts a hand over Marito’s. “Please, we’re sorry.”
“Huh? I ain’t fucking sorry.”
“Seriously?!” Arajin looks at him, silently begging Marito to stop being combative; he looks at you so guiltily, so regretfully, you almost feel swayed by his words. “We are your friends. It wasn’t supposed to happen this way, but it's the truth.” he professes. "We like you."
“So, what do you say, kitten?” Marito adds with an uncontrollable grin. “You’re gonna be ours, right?”
“Don’t speak to her that way, scum!” Harima sits up, puts a hand on your shoulder, trying to stand up once more. “She doesn’t want to go anywhere with you and your toadie boyfriend.”
Any trace of humor disappears from Marito’s smile. “You just don’t know when to shut up; all this for a stupid shitty letter-”
“You’re wrong.” You put a hand comfortingly on Harima’s shoulder, ushering him to calm down. “That letter was so sweet and thoughtful. I think it takes a lot of courage to be so honest about how you feel.”
“Okay, enough is enough.” Marito sighs heavily and moves to reach for you again. “Come on, get up. We should be discussing this privately-”
This time it’s not Harima’s large hand that smacks Marito’s away; you’re finally looking at him. Tears well up in your eyes. Marito recoils as if your slap hurt; he’s looking at you, almost dumbstruck. He’s never seen you so much as raise your hand to swat a bug.
“No.” You can’t stop the tears from coming; your hand is still raised, poised as if to slap Marito again should he try to come near you. “I don’t want to go anywhere with you.”
Arajin tries to go to you, but stops short; he stands, helpless, as you cry into your hands. You’re crying and it’s partially his fault, yet Arajin can’t even bring himself to go to you.
“Hey.” Marito’s hand drops to his side; his crooked smile wanes, gaze searching your face, as if he can’t process what he's seeing. “Hey, why are you looking at me like that? I’m not gonna hurt you.”
Arajin doesn’t know when you stopped crying; an hour later he’s with Marito back at the Siguma clubhouse. You left, half supporting Harima, as he limped towards the nurses office, insisting he could patch himself up and a hospital wasn’t necessary.
Marito hasn’t spoken a word; when you all but ran off, he trudged the opposite direction, looking forward, motions stiff, almost robotic. When they returned to the clubhouse, the building feeling strangely empty and cold despite having a heating system running, Marito pulled Arajin to the hammock. Arajin didn’t argue or make any smart remarks; he let himself be tugged along. Currently he’s slotted between Marito’s legs, half lying on his chest. Marito is staring up at the ceiling, barely blinking; he looks half asleep, half awake. Arajin can’t tell if he’s angry or not but he doesn’t feel like asking. He feels like shit.
“I screwed it all up, huh?”
Marito has one arm underneath his shoulders; his fingers clutch onto Arajin’s arm. After a beat of silence, Marito has him locked into a tight embrace; Arajin’s face is tucked away into the crook of his neck. From this position, he can’t see what kind of expression Marito is making.
“It was going so well, but then that asshole came outta nowhere, I thought we were gonna lose her, it felt like we were suddenly running out of time. I didn’t even think she’d actually say yes to him. Shit, I don’t know, I freaked, I was-”
Arajin doesn’t need Marito to finish; he knows exactly what he wants to say because it’s the same reason he himself had run away. Again.
“It’s not your fault.”
“Don’t bullshit me.”
“I mean, it’s my fault too.” Arajin closes his eyes tight. “I should have told her a long time ago.”
“Why didn’t you?”
“Do you have to ask? I’m a selfish coward.”
“Yeah, but I kinda like that about you.” Marito lets out a half chuckle. “Did you think you were too weak for her?”
“Sort of. Can we not get into that now?”
“When then?”
“When?”
“We’re going to get her back, aren’t we?” Marito sounds annoyed. “We give her a little time to calm down and try to talk to her.”
“It’s not that simple.”
“You’re gonna have to see her again; she works for your mom.”
“I guess she’ll be avoiding me from now on.”
“What about me?”
“What do you mean?”
“It’ll be easier to avoid me. Ya know, she’s probably with him now. If I go after him, she’s just gonna hate me more, but-I’ve never felt this before.”
“Pissed?”
“I want her here and she’s not.” Marito swallows hard; there’s no levity in his tone. “She didn’t even ask if I was okay.”
“Are you okay?”
Arajin realizes this might have been the first time he’s asked Marito that question; not to mention, this might actually be the first time Marito hasn’t gotten something he wanted, something he couldn’t get with threats and intimidation.
“I got hurt too, you saw. He got me on the face even.”
Arajin doesn’t point out to Marito that the injury he’s referring to is the most minor of bruises on his jaw.
“She didn’t even care. She didn’t even notice.”
“I could…” Arajin sighs. “Kiss it better.”
Marito moves so he can stare him down with the most lost puppy dog eyes Arajin has ever seen on maybe the most terrifying person he’s ever met. Arajin leans over, pressing a soft, but lingering kiss to the small welt. Marito whines, arms wrapping around him tighter.
“Ara-teen, you gotta talk to her. Tell her I didn’t mean any of it, I just got carried away.”
“Weren’t you the one telling me to be more forward?” A slight smile comes to Arajin’s face for the first time in hours. “Tell her yourself.”
“She’s just gonna run away.” Marito slumps with a pout. “Tell her I’m…”
“Sorry?”
“Yeah, that.”
“Okay, that’s really something you’re going to have to tell her yourself, even I know that.”
“But she won’t talk to me! You saw how she looked at me…” Marito bites his wobbling lower lip, teeth almost scraping against his snake bite spikes. “I scared our kitten away. I messed everything up.”
“We both messed up.” Arajin lets Marito bury his face into his shoulder. “I guess we deserve each other…”

I just find Billy and Hughie's relationship so interesting like. Hughie gets more shit and more chewed up than any of the other Boys ever do (I mean we all know M.M. and Frenchie won't take being called pathetic cunts) but he's also the only one Billy drops everything for. It's Hughie under threat from Black Noir that makes him snap out of his suicidal mindset. He notices before Annie and calls out for Hughie first when the van gets flipped. He's the one shouting at Annie that they can't just sit there and let Hughie bleed out. Then in the hospital, Annie and Billy laughing fondly about Hughie's shampoo and stuff, and Annie saying he's too good for both of them?! Becca later saying Hughie is good for Billy?) Hughie being the only one he can't say bye to when he leaves to get Becca? On that note, normally everything Billy does is with Becca in mind and he'd throw anybody else under the bus, but when Homelander is trying to make Annie kill Hughie, he lets Kenji loose to save him, which leads to his side of the bargain to get Becca back escaping & being killed. He had no way of knowing Mallory would find Becca for him anyway. He never goes back for M.M. or Frenchie but he does for Hughie, and puts him above it all when it counts. Insane.

Hear me out; I think it's a cool theory/idea that the campers all died. The rest of this post might be a bit dark btw
Really think about it. As the seasons progress, they definitely shouldn't have lasted so long because they're just kids. Here's how I think each kid did/should've died.
Ben: pteranadons, or Toro (s2)
Sammy: Mitch and Tiff, or scorpious
Yaz: drowing (s3 e6)
Brooklyn: killed by Wu/Wu's guards
Kenji: monolophosaurus, mossosaurus (s4), illness (s4), or earthquake (s5)
Darius: sole survivor.
In season 2 episode 1, we see how real Darius' dreams can be when he imagines Ben on Main Street. It's not entirely impossible that he would imagine his friends with him to combat the extreme loneliness and grief he feels after losing them, especially after he tries so hard to get them to safety.
So, what if Darius imagined the majority of the events in seasons 3, 4, and 5? A big point, is that he may have imagined his (dead) friends saving each other at the points where another friend dies. He could imagine Yaz getting the antidote to Sammy, instead of drowning in the dangerous current of the river. Or he could have imagined this big story for Ben and how he survived since he believed Ben's death was his fault. In season 4 episode 1, what if Kenji's hatred for Darius is because Darius actually got Brooklyn killed by Dr. Wu's men? And then, after Kenji thinks of what Brooklyn would want, he dies trying to save Darius from the mossosaurus?
I think that, if my theory were correct, then Darius' guilt would drive him to insanity, and he would imagine a world where he could save his friends and actually get them off of the island.
This would also explain why seasons 4 and 5 don't feel as connected to the first 3, because Darius made up this adventure on a new island to cope with the loss of his friends. Everything is so connected because Darius' mind is tying up loose ends, creating stories from what his friends told him before they died. He imagines storylines for them based on their interactions with him and the other campers, and gave them all happy endings.
I also think that could explain why the time jump wasn't great at the end of season 5. Ben looked different because he died first, Darius couldn't remember his eye color or the little details as well as he could for the others. And, Darius knew more about the imagined version of Ben (Jungle Ben) than he did season 1 Ben, which is why he stayed with Mae and Bumpy on the island. Sammy wears the same shirt all those years later because Darius didn't imagine a new look for her. Kenji moved in because Darius didn't know enough about Kenji's family to envision a life after the island, so he put him into the Bowmans' house.
Obviously, this theory isn't true, but it's interesting to think about. I'd glady go more in-depth if anyone would want to hear that.

"#i have a post canon ''au'' where the ada is forced to (temporarily) take in the disbanded Hunting Dogs"
what??? that sounds so cool??? can we hear more about it
Gladly! I'm happy to get to talk about it :D even though it's sort of a loose concept lol
This is excluding Tachihara (for obvious reasons) and Fukuchi; as much as I would want him to spend time and properly reconnect with Fukuzawa, I doubt he'd get the opportunity to after the whole mess with the DOA, either because he's going to jail, or... well, that other thing...
So anyway, I see two possible reasons for this, one of which being related to Yosano's ability and the surgeries (credits for the idea to @sinetempore lol) or the less likely but far funnier option of Kenji dragging Tecchou to Fukuzawa like "can we keep him :D".
On the one hand we have some very awkward interactions with the people that were literally hunting you down like a week ago, which is equally uncomfortable for both parties. They'd eventually warm up with each other (Tecchou and Kenji setting a good example by being the only ones actually interacting with each other casually at first), but until then no one is having fun with the arrangement. And everyone is aware it won't ever happen for some of them. Jouno and Kunikida just sort of ignore each other completely, and you won't ever find them alone in the same room.
(I feel like Lucy would get involved in this process too, probably dragged in by Jouno who noticed that she used to be in a similar position. She is, in fact, even more wary of them than the ADA members, the only exception here being Tecchou.)
On the other hand, though, this opens some really nice angsty possibilities for the Hunting Dogs, and I'm not talking about the physical ones. We don't know how long they've really existed, but assuming it's between 6 and 14 years the chains of the government must be imprinted so deeply in their minds. And without the surgeries, their capacities are nowhere near as where they used to be; and that's leaving the side effects of not receiving them anymore aside. Imagine them out on their first new mission and failing. Imagine their panic. All aside from the punishment they would have received as Hunting Dogs, failure simply isn't a familiar feeling for them anymore. I doubt Fukuzawa would send them away all on their own for multiple reasons, and the ADA members accompanying them are... concerned, to say the least. It takes a long and sort of one sided conversation to even figure our what's wrong, and even longer to sort it out. It was, in fact, the first and last time Jouno and Kunikida actually talked to each other. Neither of them ever acknowledged it again later.
On the OTHER other hand, we could get the friendships I want to see so badly. Ranpo and Teruko. Dazai and Jouno. Guys I'm not joking I need Dazai and Jouno to be friends so badly. They (and Fyodor) are in fact the only characters I have not one, but two childhood friends AUs for. I need to see them together.
#i hope it makes sense i typed this in a rush lol#thanks for the ask!#not a quote#bungou stray dogs#hunting dogs bsd#spoilers#ask#bsd jouno#bsd tecchou#bsd teruko#bsd kunikida

"Lay your head on my shoulder and try to sleep." for any ship u feel like! <3
have some uhhh [spins wheel] pre-relationship kunidazai! post-doa arc with a mention of kunikida having hand tremors bc asagiri was a coward to take his hands away and then give them back without any consequences
warnings: referenced bsd-typical violence & guns word count: 1046
.
There was a very logical and predictable series of events that led to Dazai and Kunikida sitting in an otherwise-empty waiting room while Kyouka is in surgery. If Dazai had paused for a second to think things through, it could have even been prevented. But he hadn’t, and Kyouka got shot while out on a case that she was only called in for because Kenji had to make a trip home for a wedding, and Yosano is in Kumamoto on a case with Ranpo because they prefer traveling long distances with her as opposed to any of the other Agency members.
Dazai could have insisted Kunikida go with Ranpo, or he could have gone with Ranpo himself. He could have suggested Atsushi fill in for Kenji rather than Kyouka. He should have warned Kunikida that they guy they were after would have a hidden gun, but he expected Kunikida would figure that out himself. He hadn’t factored in Kunikida devoting more attention to whether or not Kyouka was harmed, since she doesn’t have Kenji’s super strength, because he assumed Demon Snow would work well enough as a bodyguard in Kunikida’s mind. But Demon Snow was fighting another ability user and in the split second Kunikida turned to ensure Kyouka was holding up on her own, their enemy pulled his second gun and fired.
Dazai should have been able to stop it.
Instead, he got a call from a frantic Kunikida, giving no more information than the hospital where they were taking Kyouka and what sounded like the beginnings of a panic attack before Kunikida promptly hung up the phone.
He was pacing around the waiting room when Dazai arrived. He plopped himself into a chair and waited silently, until an hour had passed and Kunikida was still anxiously pacing, at which point Dazai decided it was time to intervene. He managed to coax Kunikida into a chair, but he’s still bouncing his leg and twisting his fingers together and periodically pulling his notebook from his pocket just to mindlessly flip through the pages.
“She’s going to be okay,” Dazai says. He doesn’t know for sure, but he says it like he does because Kunikida always believes him when he speaks with such certainty.
Kunikida sighs deeply. His leg starts bouncing faster. His hands are shaking even worse than usual—something that happens when he’s stressed or anxious. He doesn’t say anything in response, which is unlike him.
Dazai purses his lips. He doesn’t like being expected to comfort people, because he isn’t good at it. He doesn’t understand what is wanted from him, and he always seems to say the wrong words. But seeing Kunikida like this is so unnerving that he has to try something.
“Kunikida-kun,” he says, as gently as he can manage, “worrying won’t help.”
“I know,” Kunikida responds tersely.
“Kyouka-chan would want you to get some rest,” he tries.
Kunikida ignores him.
Dazai is running out of things to say. His eyes roam over Kunikida, searching for another option, and his eyes settle on the loose strands of hair that have fallen from his ponytail. Actions speak louder than words, right?
“Turn your back to me,” Dazai instructs.
Kunikida just looks at him warily.
“C’mon,” Dazai grins. “Don’t you trust me?”
“I do not,” Kunikida tells him, but he turns his back to Dazai anyway. Dazai loosens the hair tie, then pulls it from Kunikida’s hair. Kunikida makes a vaguely disgruntled noise in the back of his throat, but he doesn’t start yelling, so Dazai will take that as a victory.
Dazai runs his fingers through Kunikida’s hair, detangling it as best as he can without a brush or comb. Kunikida’s hair is thin, almost silky despite the bleach and dye hiding his natural hair color. Dazai doesn’t know why he chose to color his hair blonde, but trying to picture Kunikida as a brunet is even worse than questioning his life choices.
Dazai spends longer than necessary just letting the soft strands fall through his fingers, reveling in the feeling of it. It’s a strange sort of vulnerability, requiring far more sacrifice on Kunikida’s part than on Dazai’s. It’s the only sort of intimacy they’re good at.
But Dazai is not the sort of person who can grab hold of nice things and keep them, and Kunikida could never want someone like him. So he gathers Kunikida’s hair into one hand, and ties it back up into its typical style, then draws his hands back towards himself.
Kunikida lets out another sigh, but this one is significantly less stressed. If Dazai didn’t know better, he’d almost say it sounded fond.
“Thank you,” he whispers.
Dazai hums noncommittally. “It’s late,” he notes, because it was past sunset when he got the call and Kyouka’s been in surgery for hours. “You should get some rest.”
Kunikida turns to face him. “What about you?”
“I wasn’t the one on a case this evening,” Dazai points out. “C’mon, just lean your head on my shoulder and try to sleep. I’ve heard human contact helps calm your nerves.”
Kunikida looks skeptical, even though Dazai is about 95% sure that one is true.
“I’ll wake you if they come with news about Kyouka-chan,” Dazai promises.
Kunikida relents. He lays his head on Dazai’s shoulder, and only then does Dazai realize this may have been a very, very, bad idea for him. Because Kunikida is just using him as a pillow, and Kunikida thinks he’s just trying to be a good friend. But Dazai wants something else—something Kunikida will never give him—and now he’s getting a taste of the thing he craves so desperately he’d tear his own heart from his chest in order to get it, knowing it will never be his.
But Kunikida does finally fall asleep, even though he should have no reason to trust Dazai like this. Dazai removes his glasses and sets them on the empty seat beside him. He runs his fingers through Kunikida’s hair once more and whispers a, “Sleep well,” he knows will go unheard.
Dazai wants this to be something he can hold onto forever, but forever is not a thing he is capable of, so he’ll be content with having Kunikida in his arms for just this one moment.

Here is my theory regarding who is in charge of illegally selling dinosaurs: Daniel Kon. I know Kenji and Darius saw him get eaten but I think it was faked. I wonder if the kids were being targeted as a way to force Kenji to see his dad. Then his dad had 2 plans. Plan 1: get Kenji to be his new CEO so Daniel could have a new business but with someone more legit “in charge”. It was going the way Daniel wanted but then Kenji changed his mind. He refused to be his dad’s puppet again. Which is right when the aloraptors attacked. And for the first time the Whistle Lady didn’t hide and send in her raptors. No she stood there and kept whistling commands. Which she didn’t need to do before because it was just kill. This moment needed constant monitoring and different commands to be sent out. She even gave a whistle to not harm Daniel when they were being attacked. All Daniel needed were some packets of fake blood, raptors play “eating” him and some screaming. As soon as Darius and Kenji realized there was nothing they could do, they had to keep running and didn’t have time to see anything beyond the blood everywhere. At first I did think that Daniel was eaten but I also thought it was weird that Mr. master manipulator, won’t check out a distress beacon that could be my kid, leave my child on an island to die in an exploding island actually cared that it his son was leaving. But now I think it was a manipulative tactic to get the boys to stay long enough to see the act. And now Daniel can leave without anyone looking for a body. Then at the end of the season when Whistle Lady said that the boss didn’t like lose ends it hit me that Daniel must be the boss. Because who do we know that has said on multiple occasions that he doesn’t like loose ends? I think this was a clue as to who is actually behind everything.
#which if I’m right#just makes Daniel that much more awful#to let his kid go through the trauma of losing the girl he loves#and watching his dad get eaten#absolutely horrid#worst parent ever award#daniel kon#kenji kon#Daniel’s a++ parenting#jurassic world chaos theory spoilers#jwct spoilers#jurassic world chaos theory#jwct#perthshirecottage posts
