Kendall gave a soft, appreciative smile as Britney laid out the takeout menus like she was presenting the holy grail. A flicker of warmth broke through her sadness—it was just like Britney to turn a night of heartbreak into a full-blown comfort session. Taking a deep breath, Kendall finally spoke, the words falling out before she could second-guess herself. "Brit, you’re seriously the best. And honestly, I needed this more than I thought," she admitted, glancing down at the pile of menus as if they held the answer to all her problems. "I just… I can't believe he would do that. Six years together, and he cheats on me. And with my cousin of all people." Kendall’s voice broke a little, and she looked down, swallowing hard. "It’s like a nightmare I keep waking up to." She let out a shaky laugh, trying to lighten the heaviness of it all. “Anyway, yeah. Let’s go with, like, all of the above? I need carbs and grease and anything that won’t judge me for looking like a mess.” She reached out and gave Britney’s arm a squeeze. "Seriously, I don’t know what I’d do without you right now. Super Badass Brit to the rescue, as always." Kendall let out a sigh, feeling the tiniest bit lighter. "And yes, later, we’re absolutely diving into that heavenly hash.
Britney smiled, nodding. "Okay dokey then, but just say the word. I gotcha always. Kung fu Brit or otherwise." She said, giving her a quick side hug. Kendall was on a long list of people she just would drop everything to help her. Whether it was because of a bad breakup or if she needed help.
Britney didn't want to pressure Kendall into talking about the breakup, all she wanted was to cheer her friend up. She hated seeing her so sad, so she was determined to make her feel at least a little better.
She pop up from her chair, reaching for her drawer where all her take out menu's were. "Okay, take out. What are we thinking? Chinese? Fast Food? Poutine? A dozen and so chicken nuggets?" She asked, taking out all the take out menu's she had and laid them out on the kitchen counter. "Oh, that's what I'm here for. You don't have to thank me, I'm just ya know.. me. I want you to feel a little better, but also know it's okay not to be ok ya know? Anyway.. I also have like, a huge tub of heavenly hash ice cream we can dig into later too." She babbled on.

This year's Met Gala theme was Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty. Here's what the stars wore to the red carpet.

This year's Met Gala 2023 was won by Jared Leto, who dressed as the infamous cat of iconic fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld - Choupette. Here's how he looked as the cat on the red carpet.

Kendall smiled, feeling a warmth spread through her chest at Brittney's words. "You’re a real trip, Britt," she said, nudging her playfully. "I don’t think you need to fight anyone for me just yet, but it’s good to know you’ve got my back." She paused, considering Brittney’s offer. If Ken was being honest, her recent break up was actually perfect timing. She noticed how distance he's been getting lately and it's understandable, she wasn't ready for marriage, and he was. "Honestly, I could really go for eating my feelings right now," Kendall admitted with a small laugh. "Maybe we order something unhealthy and just chill? No heavy talks, just us and whatever food makes this day a little less terrible." She looked at Brittney, her smile softening. "Thanks, though. For being you."
Starter for @crowdedmidnight
"Ya know, you are the most dazzling person I've ever met? Anybody that says otherwise I'll fight. I mean it too. You think I may not have a bad bone in my body, but when anybody I care about is hurt, that changes. I am bad to the bone." Britney said with a grin, only wanting to cheer the other up.
"Ooo and if you don't wanna talk about it right now, we don't have to. We can just order in and eat our feelings. What do ya think?"
#xxwelcometomysillylifex#omg i've missed you!! how have you been?!#if you'd like a different muse lmk :)#kendall x brittney#queue my heart
