What I would give for Toei to allow Daisuke and Hikari to interact more…….. like I’m so tired of whenever we do get 02 kids content and those two just never get the chance to talk.

I get wanting to have certain characters are closer to others such as how recent Digimon adaptations have Takeru and Hikari talking a lot or just keeping Daisuke and Ken together. But I can’t lie and say I wouldn’t have wanted some change and to see more friendships blossom with the 02 cast. Like maybe more Ken and Iori? Or Takeru and Miyako? It lowkey gets boring seeing the same three dynamics only being on screen and not some of the other good ones shown

Thinking about Digimon Fic Ideas

It is somewhat annoying right now, because I also have so many Castlevania and BG3 plotbunnies, that my brain (mostly thanks to translating some of my older Digimon stuff) was like: "You know what? We haven't hyperfixated on Digimon for a long while, right?" And made me hyperfocus on that once more. lol

And now I am thinking of writing a few new stories for the fandom, because I have not in a while. And while it seems in terms of Ao3 the fandom is fairly dead... I mean, I do enjoy writing for the fandom, and what else am I going to do with my encyclopedic knowledge of this fandom anyway?

Right now, among a variety of ideas for One Shots, my main ideas are the following right now. And I guess I am going to put them here, just so that I have put them somewhere. Because I dunno when I get around to writing them.

Based on this blog, I wrote like two weeks ago... I remembered that I once had started a story on this, but never finished it. Basically a Multichapter-Story (probably 5+1) of Takeru and Hikari being drawn to each other, but finding out that their relationship does not quite work, because they to comfortably fit into the slot where their respective brothers usually were in their lives. (Originally this was mostly based on my feeling that they would totally date, but it would not work out - but from today's perspective I would argue it explicitly would not work because they both have a big brother complex.)

Something I ironically never did, even though I have had this idea in my had: Daisuke in my stuff needs the longest time to come around to being queer. In regards to Adventure/02 I ship three queer ships: Taichi/Koushirou, Miyako/Mimi, and Daisuke/Ken. However, I never much went into how Daisuke and Ken get together. And I know that Daisuke is the character here most struggling with CompHet. And a part of me really wants to explore that some more.

Four Stories around the four main Digimon Tamers (meaning Takato, Jianliang (which will include Shaochung), Ruki and Ryou) exploring respectively some of their cultural heritage. Meaning Ryukyuan for Takato, Hongkong for Jianliang, something relatively European for Ruki, and something connected to Kyushu for Ryou. I have some general ideas for this, though I do need to make some more plans.

And also a very self-indulgent story based around Megumi and Keith from Digimon Tamers. And I absolutely know that I am personally the only person who cares about them, and very much the only person who ships them. But I don't fucking care. I love them, okay? (Please ignore that adult Keith might as well be an OC, given that Keith only shows up in the Prequel shortstory when he is 10-12 years old.)

I don't know when I will get around to writing that. The one with the cultural heritage speaks to me the most right now, because it is this kinda hyperspecific stuff that interests me. But... Well, we'll see. My main issue so far is, that... The lack of certain types of Digimon and the realization that I kinda would need to come up with original Digimon for some of it. >.<

(by August 2nd, Vamdemon's invasion of Odaiba had Begun) Daisuke, who was initially captured inside the same center as Odaiba convention center Vamdemon kept Tailmon trapped in; just might have come across a Certain Person (or two) Near this and the following exact Day{s}... (Alluding to Daisuke's official Drama CD audio Track from "Digimon Adventure 02: Spring 2003"!) - This A.M.V. is overall a Standalone work. (It is not directly involved with my other work); However, it can be considered a work For the storyline that’s a precursor to Repeat-verse, which came before that story was conceived!) Therefore, it can be watched as a Standalone! - I reused a part of an older edit for the earliest Tri P.V.; (for timing placements) it had an old subtitle on, but I’ll remove that for the finished version! - (There is a moment of Hurricane Touchdown!Taichi for Timing) {As it works for my fan-‘verse, I left it in, with a bonus by end!} However, the work is overall/near-wholly 02-focused (so far)! - There is a small amount of out-of-context scenes, However, they’re meant to overall parallel the lyric{s} on-screen. - There is a single Tri spoiler from Kyousei; involving the character of "Homeostasis", that (mind)-possesses Hikari briefly in Adventure Ep. 45 previously. {"Gennai" [Tri] can also be seen for some short seconds} - Major handful of "The Beginning" sequel spoilers by ending; However, it's all actually immediately Pre-Final battle. (The Digimon in final battle can be seen Clearly, +Rui)

{I have not yet re-written the Daikari storyline involved with the past ficverse of mine in full; So please take this work as a sort of preview to it!} The ending lines and following sequences especially hint/allude a little more to my ficverse's potential turnouts; but it can be viewed/read as semi or even fully canon compliant too!

Here is the summary of my new fic :D

Infinite Possibilities will have three phases.  The first stars Eimi, the second stars Koushiro, and the third stars Hikari.  I commissioned the cover to look like a character select menu; each phase will have its own cover art with the lead front and center.

This story explores the realities, issues, and politics of digimon existing on earth, a concept I’ve been obsessed with for years.  It opens about a year and some change before Kizuna, and the events of that film will be covered, too- not so much the film itself as what comes after.

There are couples in this fic, but it isn’t a romance.  The one worth mentioning is Izumi Koushiro x Anami Eimi, as we do see them get closer and date, although that’s never the point or focus of the story.  There might be passing mentions of the two canon couples (Yamato x Sora and Ken x Miyako), and of other Chosen going on nonspecified dates, etc.

I’ve been planning this fic since 2020, and I think it’s ambitious and jam packed with interesting ideas!  How the world looks when digimon and humans come together is so interesting to me, and I’m so happy to share my ideas with you.  Thanks for being here!

First, the OG notes from the outdated post:

→ This count is not about “which was the very first digimon-human contact”, and yes about people with a digivice. Because if we were going to count who was the first human to have contact with a digimon, it’s actually two and they’re Oikawa Yukio and Iori’s dad, Hida Hiroki.

→ I’m ignoring all the inconsistencies with other material (WS & ▽) because they seem to not match well with the original count. So, in this case, Ken’s statement in the anime (Aug 2000) is the one to be accounted for here. I don’t know if Ryo counts as Chosen (possibly yes, judging by 02 flashbacks) but I’m not sure where to place him here.

→ I’m only adding Michael to the count, even if he’s not a main character and yes a side character, because 02 ep 14 had this statement regarding him. And I like Michael too so, let me have him there :V

→ Menoa states in the movie she met Morphomon when she was nine, and according to the Dash X novel version, she’s the same age as Taichi. Which means she became a Chosen in 1997.

→ I couldn’t think of how to include Maki & Daigo’s group in this because ▽ contradicts with the original lore’s math – The fact the Pt4 book released with the movie on Japanese theaters state them being in Elementary School the time they went to their adventure in the DW, and later the confession scene means they’re in University/College makes them possibly been Chosen Children way before 1995, and I’d take it granted that they were chosen by someone else IF weren’t for the Homeostasis being involved in the scene and the digivice being way too modern for that time (it was basically Taichi group’s model. If you look at Rui’s digivice in the leaked footage from DigiFes2022, his model seems to be different and an older version)

→ That said, Meiko is the only character in ▽ that does not fall into contradiction with the math count. Because in 1999 there was not only Taichi’s group, but also other 8 non-featured Chosen according to Kakudou’s notes. So we can consider Meiko one of those other 8 children.

→ When it comes to Wallace, I prefer to think he is game in the original math – Taichi and Hikari met that Koromon in 95, but they had no digivice until 1999. Which means it can be possible that Wallace had encountered Gummy-Choco’s egg before 1995 and only became an official Chosen Child later.

Now, the new notes:

→ To avoid spoiling any detail about the movie itself, I’ll make sure to tell you they might have changed how the math works only. It’s not like, “everyone gets a digimon at the same time” but rather… “A X number of people get partnered with a digimon in different periods of a year” – Which means yes, you can still count Rui and Ukkomon as the origins of the Digimon partnership, but that later in the same year someone else (or, say, Wallace in the main timeline) got a partner months later.

→ That said, I’m opting to update this list and work within the idea that various sources of partnership (Homeostasis, Holy Beasts, etc) can be counted in the math. Remember – Homeostasis (not referred to as this in the OG series but yes in the novels) had selected Taichi & co., but the Holy Beasts chose Dai-Miya-Iori. And some other entity probably chose Ken in August 2000. This could explain why there’s a higher number of partnerships happening at the same time in Adv’99 and 02.

→ As I mentioned before, and indirectly supported by the staff (check the official timeline at the top of the list), ▽ has violated the lore to the point it goes in direct conflict with the new 02 movie and the entire timeline. So I guess it’s better to consider ▽ as its own timeline/Alternate universe than forcing it into the main timeline.

→ That said, and since Meiko does exist in Kizuna/main timeline, I suppose Maki and Daigo also do exist, and maybe they got their “ages” retconned and down to something suitable to the universe’s math count. They can still be part of the previous five kids mentioned in Adv’99 anime/novels, but they are probably around their teen years, or even early 20s instead, not fully adults working for the government I suppose. Or alternatively, just not Chosen yet. Pick your favorite route, Maki/Daigo fans!!

→ Yes, the Koromon from the very first movie IS NOT THE SAME PARTNERED WITH TAICHI. This never was confirmed, and was just fandom's theory. Considering how ▽ also made this mistake and possibly was one of the lore's violation, I prefer to believe this means it's not the same Koromon/Agumon partnered with Taichi in Adv'99.

Prompt - Nose Kiss

Daisuke stared at you and Takeru.

“Everything okay Daisuke?” Hikari asked. Daisuke looked away from the two boys and looked at Hikari.

“Yeah, just look at them”, Daisuke tilted his head to you and Takeru.

Hikari and Tailmon, who was in Hikari’s arms, looked at the boys. You were leaning against a tree while Takeru leaned against you, his head on your shoulder.

You had a slightly annoyed look on your face while Takeru had a smile as he talked about something.

Takeru played with the grass while your arms were crossed over your chest, your legs stretched out next to Takeru’s.

Patamon and your Digimon were on a branch above the two boys. They were cuddled up next to each other, sleeping. Hikari looked back at Daisuke, “what about them?”

Hikari asked, confused. Both boys were clearly relaxing like everyone else after a day of school.

“I mean look at Y/n, he’s ignoring Takeru and he’s mad at Takeru for talking to him”, Daisuke said, getting mad.

Daisuke might argue with Takeru almost every day but Daisuke was protective of his friends and it was clear that Takeru was not getting treated right.

This wasn’t the first time Daisuke had noticed this.

It seemed like you had a resting bitch face and was always angry at something.

You never really smiled, maybe a smirk or small smiler here or there but that was it.

You didn’t really like people touching you and you hated people. You wished to be alone, by yourself. Apparently it was just how you were, that’s what Takeru said.

Takeru had known you since you were both and that’s just how you were, since you were a child. According to the older Digi-destined and Hikari.

Of course Daisuke might be remembering some of this wrong, it had been years since Daisuke always pressed for answers about why Y/n acted the way he did.

After a bit Hikari let out a little laugh, not helping Daisuke’s anger. “Are you not mad at this!” Daisuke yelled. Hikari shook her head.

“That’s just how Takeru and Y/n are, in fact I’m pretty sure Y/n is his happiest when he’s with Takeru”, Hikari said, Tailmon nodded in Hikari’s arms.

Daisuke’s jaw dropped.

He gapped at Hikari for a bit before turning to look back at you and Takeru. Takeru was sitting up now laughing and you had a smile on your face.

It was probably one of the biggest smiles you’ve ever smiled.

Your teeth weren’t showing, or maybe they were and Daisuke just couldn’t see. Your arms were uncrossed and they were just sitting in your lap.

Making you look calmer than before. You leaned closer to Takeru and placed a kiss on his nose before pulling away, your smile replaced with a smirk.

Takeru stopped talking for a bit before smiling and leaned back down.

This time resting in your lap. His head was in your lap, face facing your stomach.

You moved your hand to Takeru’s head, taking off his hat and running your hand through his hair.

Takeru relaxed in your lap and silence fell over the two of you.

Or that’s what Daisuke thought, mouths had stopped moving but Daisuke was pretty far away.

“If you don’t believe me, ask Y/n”, Hikari said, reading Daisuke’s mind. Daisuke walked away from Hikari and over to the boys.

You immediately lifted your head up, taking your gaze off Takeru and onto Daisuke.

“Need something?” You asked in a monotone voice. “Do you love Takeru?” Daisuke asked bluntly.

You looked back down at Takeru. His eyes were closed and you could feel his breath on your shirt.

You looked back up at Daisuke, “more than anything”, you answered. Daisuke didn’t notice, but your voice sounded happier than when you first spoke.

Daisuke nodded and was about to say something when Ken called his name.

Daisuke turned around, said goodbye to you, and ran to Ken. You shook your head and looked back down at Takeru.

“Did you really mean that?”

Takeru asked. You ran your hand down from Takeru’s head to his cheek.

Takeru opened his eyes and looked up at you. He rolled over onto his back.

You stare down into Takeru’s eyes. His blue eyes were slightly closed, telling you that Takeru was relaxed and tired. You smiled, a real smile.

You leaned down and kissed Takeru.

It was short and quick, but Takeru loved it because it was your kiss. You pulled away slightly, “I love you, more than anything”, you said before fully pulling away.

Your hand still playing with Takeru’s hair. Takeru smiled and rolled over, back now facing the sky. Unbeknownst to you Daisuke and Hikari watched everything.

“See” Hikari asked Daisuke and she walked away before Daisuke could answer.

Daisuke sighed and turned around. Guess you really did love Takeru, but they were just so different.

“But they're so different”, Daisuke said to no one in particular. “That’s why their love is the best”, Hikari said with a smile.

“Because they can love each other even though they're so different”, Hikari walked away before Daisuke could even process what Hikari said.

Daisuke turned his head back around, watching as you. You were still running your hand through Takeru’s hair and you were staring at him.

Guess Hikari was right, again.

(preview) coincidences and cosmic signs

OK, so here's the thing, the other day I was going through my WIP files (of which there are SO MANY) and I noticed that I never, not once, have ever written anything happy about this pair ever, even though they are probably my favourite OTP of all time. While chatting with @piedrpiper, I noticed that I often don't even view them as a happy couple, despite wanting Toei desperately to let them canonically smoosh their faces together and kiss in some media where I can see it.

So I'm challenging myself to write a happy, comedic Takeru/Hikari fic. I haven't written anything happy in years and I haven't written anything comedic in even longer, so a challenge this is. So I'm posting a little preview cause I unabashedly need a little encouragement. Pls. :(

IDK how long this will be or even what it really WILL be, but here it is so far. Title is from 'Serendipity' by Laufey, which is a gorgeous, gorgeous song I encourage you all to listen to.

There’s no rulebook for falling in love with your best friend. No guidelines, no best-seller, no simple Google search that can explain how to navigate it in three easy steps.  There’s only works of fiction that make it look all too easy, with everything uncomplicated and clean, tied up in a neat bow by the end of the story. Happy endings, one after another, the friends to lovers trope never sees a broken heart. 

But in reality, there’s reams of Reddit threads and personal blogs showing the mixed results that only trying to turn a friendship into something more can wield. There’s plenty of broken hearts there; in the short, preliminary research that he has done, Takeru has found there are more unhappy endings than there are happy endings in this regard. Someone always doesn’t feel the same way and then the friendship? Ruined. 

It was anxiety inducing to read about, which was what had brought him to his current state of inaction. 

Though, he was finding this to also be miserable. 

Takeru groaned, leaning against the checkout counter at Ai-Mart, fixing his gaze sadly on the handful of nikuman still sitting in the glass display. 

From behind the counter, Miyako looked up from her text book and raised an eyebrow. “What’s wrong with you?” 

It was a Wednesday evening and like many evenings, instead of going home to the apartment he shared with his mother, Takeru decided to go pay Miyako a visit at her family’s Ai-Mart. She often loudly complained about how boring evening shifts were - how busy was a conbini in Odaiba really going to get on a weekday? So Takeru, who would talk to a wall if it could talk back, would frequently visit her while she worked (work was a loose term - she mostly just studied and rang through the odd customer), using Miyako as a sounding board for whatever was on his mind. 

Given that Miyako considered Takeru her third least annoying male friend, she didn’t mind the visits, though she tuned him out at least some of the time. It beat being alone and bored. 

Tonight was one such evening, but unlike their usual discussion topics, (pros and cons about whether or not Miyako should go back to Spain, a detailed plot summary of whatever book Takeru was reading, and often a heated debate around whether or not Takeru could give Miyako a ride to Ken’s place after this and if he did, what food would she give him for free?) Takeru found himself in a rather melancholy mood. 

Sighing heavily, Takeru placed a finger on the glass, tracing the shape of one especially lonely looking nikuman. “Miyako-san, I’m going to confess something to you, but you can’t make a big deal out of it, okay? I just really need someone to talk to.”

Miyako stood a little straighter, though her hand still remained clutching her book, poised to turn the page. “Um, okay. Again, what’s up?” 

“I’m in love with Hikari-chan,” he said, drawing a sad face over the nikuman. He wondered if it was as sad as he was - it must be, knowing that it was going to come to an untimely end, first getting ripped to shreds by someone’s teeth and then getting boiled alive in stomach acid. 

Being in love, Takeru was finding, was awful. Sure, he had probably been some type of in love with Hikari for almost ten years, but he kind of thought he would get over it. Yet here he was at 23, decidedly not over it and definitely not with Hikari and all of that was making him very miserable. 

He had to let it out. He wasn’t going to tell Yamato (what did Mr. Wife’d Up Since He Was 14 know about unrequited love?) and he certainly wasn’t going to talk to Daisuke, Ken, or Iori, all of whom were equal shades of busy or would mock him relentlessly. 

Which left Miyako, who, trapped behind the counter of Ai-Mart, really had no choice but to listen to his sob story. 

“Oh,” Miyako responded, blinking. “That’s all?”

Takeru stiffened, eyes darting away from the bread. “What do you mean that’s all?”

Rolling her eyes, Miyako folded her arms. “I mean that’s all as in obviously you’re in love with Hikari. Everyone knows that.”

“Everyone?!” Takeru yelped. “What do you mean everyone?!”

“I mean everyone,” Miyako said matter of factly. “Our entire friend group. Hey, are you drawing faces on the nikuman again?”

“No,” Takeru dropped his hand. “And what do you mean everyone?” 

Circling around the counter, Miyako sighed. “Takeru-kun, I mean that everyone in our friend group knows you’re in love with her cause it’s obvious. It’s been obvious since you were like, seventeen. You just have to watch you two interact for more than five minutes and see how you look at her to notice it.” Coming to a stop beside him, she bent over and peered at the glass. “You liar, you were drawing faces on the nikuman! Stop doing that! Someone complained last time and said this store was creeping him out.” 

“Sorry,” Takeru said, distracted. “How do I look at her?”

Miyako turned to him, her face suddenly serious. She smiled softly. 

“You look at her like she’s special. Like you could be in a room with every single person you’ve ever met in your life and you would look for her first.”

Instantly, Takeru felt his face flush. “Um, I think, well, that’s quite the description Miyako-san, I don’t know if it is that deep, I—”

“Oh, stop, seriously,” Miyako waved her hand, turning to head back to the other side of the counter. “It’s so obnoxious to hear men try to downplay their feelings. Just own it. You’re head over heels for her. You’d rip worlds apart for her.”

Takeru swallowed, flushing deeper. “I mean, technically I kind of have.” 

“I know,” Miyako stationed herself beside the register and flipped her book closed. “I heard all about it. That’s why I said it. Now. What do you want to do about it?” 

A beat passed between them before Takeru slumped back against the counter. “I don’t know.”

“What do you mean you don’t know?!”

“I mean I don’t know!” Takeru snapped. “I have no idea how to navigate this. I’ve tried Googling. I’ve tried reading. I even considered talking to my brother, but that would be no help at all cause he and Sora got together so young and have stayed together for so long, so what does he really know about dating? And all of the advice online is so mixed and I just truly have no idea where to even start.”

Miyako pursed her lips. “You want to know what I think you should do?” 

Takeru nodded, eagerly. “Yes, please.”

“I think you should tell her.”

Takeru groaned. “Miyako-san, I can’t just tell her. Are you crazy?”

“No!” She narrowed her eyes. “And I resent the question. Just tell her how you feel, you idiot!”

“I can’t just tell her how I feel,” Takeru said slowly, pointedly. “What if she doesn’t feel the same? I could ruin our friendship.”

Miyako shook her head. “You’re not going to ruin your friendship. Hikari is very understanding, very forgiving.”

Takeru nodded. “She is - wait. Are you saying that she’s going to reject me?”

her arc would be breaking away from being a people-pleaser and the “perfect” image that people project onto her, and learning to set boundaries and express herself through the freedom she gets as chat noir (lady noir?)

So on the subject or Orb’s Fusion-Up forms, do you have any combinations yourself? Either the traditional two Ultras combination or even a Trinity-Fusion? Or maybe something you’ve come up with yourself? If so what are they, what are they called, what are the catchphrases, the type of fusion form they are, and what can they do exactly?

Oh, and do you think you can also work something out with these combinations: Mebius + Zoffy (which we know is gonna be a fire and ice form. Since for some reason that tends to be the outcome with that combination), Dyna + Cosmos, 80 + Max, oh and finally something with Father of Ultra!

Oh this brings back so many memories, I used to get questions like this all the time back when Orb, Geed and Z were airing

To talk about the naming conventions first, ive personally always preferred the way Orb fusions were named, thats actually indicative of the fusion components (except Orb Trinity obviously). However, some prefixes of certain fusion components should be changed, like "Thunder" for Belial when it should be "Deathcium" for example. Therefore to make this post shorter, I wont be naming the fusions as it will just follow the Orb's naming convention.

(Of course there will be certain fusion components which we wont know the prefix/suffix of because they did not appear in the series or UFF, such as King, Ken etc)

As for catchphrases, it depends on who is the ultra using the fusion as Orb, Geed and Z have different common themes for their fusion catchphrases so im gonna skip this. Totally not because Im definitely bad at coming up with catchphrases

Not to mention that how each Type 2 fusion works is also different via the Orb Ring, Geed and Z Riser as Orb looks more like a fusion, where as Geed has random additions, just see Solid Burning, Brave Challenger etc, whereas Z fusions bascially just look like Z with different, full body armor. I personally prefer Orb's

Also iirc, the last time I talked about this, I was very keen in using Type 2 fusions as actual fusion components, which UFF Geed opened the floodgates with, which Z even had a canonical appearance for with DRC, so I will also be using this

Mebius x Zoffy imo shouldve actually been a balanced fusion with nothing really noteworthy in terms of specialities, but TsuPro cherrypicked their abilities to come up with an Fire/Ice elemental fusion for the heck of it, just like Sigma Breastar. 80 x Max seems to be in the same boat as what a Zoffy x Mebius fusion shouldve been as well, with no specific specialties. A Dyna x Cosmos fusion has already been done before, its Geed: Mighty Trekker

Im also gonna skip ones like Tiga x Trigger, Dyna x Decker, Belial x Toregia as they are too obvious, but I will come up with around 5 fusions of each type classification or else itll be a damn long list

iirc I came up with like almost 50 fusion combinations in a single post in the past, and I at least made like 4 of such posts here, so about 200+ fusions, including for kaiju fusions as well but I honestly cant find them anymore its been so long lol

With that being said, here are some of the basic duo fusions that I can come up with:

1. Taro x Ken - Basically a stronger version of BM with a flaming sword (something like the Taiga Tri Blade) in reference to the Ultra Sword that Ken uses

2. Taro x Gaia - 2 of my fav ultras of their era, iirc I mentioned that they would be something like PhotonVictorium but being magma-based elemental

3. Ace x Hikari - Can replace Hikari with Agul or Ace with Seven as well due to them primarily known for their weapons

4. Victory x X - iirc I wanted to see this fusion because both Ultras have top tier designs back then, I can see this form being bascially an electric tank

5. Taro x Rosso / Agul x Blu - These are to amplify their respective elemental powers

6. Ace × Arc - Arc's creative beam tactics with Ace's large repertoire of energy-based attacks

7. Ginga x Blazar - Im more interested in how the design will look like considering that they have a similar themed aspect of illuminated areas

Honestly so much more but i better move on before this becomes another 50+ lists again gosh

Here are the ones with Type 2 fusions involved:

1. Orb: Specium Zepellion × Geed: Primitive, BM x SB, HS x AS etc, these are to further enhance abilities in their own respective niche, u can also say the same for something like SZ x P x GF if we include Z as well for trinity fusions

2. Geed: Primitive x Blazar - They have similar fighting styles and I really wanna see this fighting style further expanded upon in this fusion

3. Orb: Lightning Attacker x Geed: Solid Burning - Both are heavily armored with fire-electric dual combination, cause as a fusion using Type 2 fusions as components, I believe we should start seeing these fusions dabbling in more than 1 niche

4. Orb: Mebium Especially × Geed: Photon Knight - I can imagine this would basically be a sword tank

5. Orb: Thunder Miracle x Geed: Shining Mystic - The former wields the power of space and the latter, time. Tho technically you could replace TM with Noactive Suceed

6. Orb: Leo Zero Knuckle x Geed: Mugen Crosser - Pure melee with weapons, can be replaced with Orb: Slugger Ace x Geed: Le-over Fist for same result

7. Zero Beyond x Geed: Galaxy Rising - Mainly I wanted to see what happens if we use Type 2 fusions that were formed with the same fusion components, as fusion components themselves

8. Orb: Power Strong x Geed: Dandit Truth - Pure BEEF (tho fyi, Thunder Miracle's model is the thiccest in UFF, I checked lol)

9. Orb: Sky Dash Max x Fuma - Max Speed

10. Orb: PhotonVictorium x Geed: Tri-Slugger - Basically the best UFF exclusive designs from both lists for the heck of it, can replace TS with Magnificent as well

Tbh theres nothing really limiting me from fusing 2 Orb, Geed or Z fusions together like Orb: PhotonVictorium x Orb: Lightning Attacker and Geed: Magnificent x Geed: Solid Burning for example but I just wanted more variety in this post

As for trinity fusions:

1. Gaia x Hikari x Agul - iirc I came up with this fusion due to how obsessed I was with Photon Knight when it first came out

2. Hikari x Belial x Toregia - these 3 were the M78 Ultras that fell to darkness once before

3. Ken x Taro × Taiga - This I am interested to see just the size of the horns lol

4. Ultraman x Zoffy x Jack - Literally just wanna see how it looks like lol, throw in Ribut if you like

5. Leo x Astra x Regulus - pure melee + Cosmo Beast Style elemental abilities

6. Hikari x Agul x Victory - Secondary Ultras, likely a sleek, armored swordsman

7. Orb x Geed x Z - Original forms of fusion ultras

8. Ultraman x Tiga x Taiga - 1st series of each era (can add Ginga for NG for a quad fusion)

9. Orb: PhotonVictorium x Geed: Tri-Slugger x Z: Delta Rise Claw - Same reason as point 7 of the previous category lol, this will be the only Type 2 trinity fusion on this list. Cause at this point, its so hard to say what kind of specialities they would have as theres too many abilities mixed in together that the result would be too balanced to really make it anything special, itll just be an overall much stronger but balanced ultra, if not i have MANY MORE ideas of this line of thought like say Tri Slugger x Zero Beyond x Alpha Edge/DRC for maximum amount of sluggers lol but that wouldnt be as interesting to talk about here

Not to mention u can also replace specific fusion components with enhanced versions like Orb: Slugger Ace with Grand Saber Zero /Orb: Emerium Slugger with Geed: Tri Slugger/ Orb: Specium Zepellion with Geed: Brave Challenger

Additionally, you can also swap out with equivalent Type 2 fusions with the same niche like Orb: Thunder Miracle with Geed: Tetrite Cross, Geed: Noactive Suceed or even Z: Gamma Future if you classify psychic abilities as spacial abilities. And Orb: Knight Liquidator with Geed: Photon Knight for example as swordsman, but just with different stats distributions

Gosh I cant believe doing this again after so long is still so fun, as you can tell, I had to consciously stop myself before this ends up being another 50+ fusion list lol

happy holidays to you, dear @citrus-cactus. i was your secret santa and i am very sorry this is so late. i was supposed to post this after one more check once i arrived but my parents told me that there was no need to bring my laptop, so here i am posting it using my ipad and i hope it still looks okay!

anyways, backstory aside, i do hope you enjoy this little thing i wrote! and i'm really sorry if this isn't what you had in mind. i had to re-watch some hurricane touchdown scenes to get wallace's character as good as i could, i would've watched the movie if i had the time so i super apologize if this isn't to your liking. i had a lot of fun writing it and i would really love to know your thoughts if you get the chance to give them :)

Terriermon and Lopmon were enjoying the company of their fellow digimons. They told each other stories, laughed, and even played a little. At some point, they fell asleep next to each other after consuming most of the food and drinks that Miyako had brought for them for the day. Terriermon had his head rested against Chibimon who was snoring softly while Lopmon was a few inches away from them.

The Chosen Children were gathered around in a circle, sans Ken who had told them that he would be late but promised to come as soon as he could. He mentioned something about helping his mom with some gift-giving in an orphanage.

“So, Wallace,” Daisuke started, his head turned to him. “Since when did you like coming here to Japan?” It made him suspicious as he remembered that Wallace had kissed Hikari once. He kissed her cheek, and Miyako’s as well, but it was still a kiss. “Are you here for anyone in particular?” But Daisuke also knew he was in denial about the fact that Hikari and Takeru had had some sort of unspoken romantic feelings for one another. “I heard there are more women in New York.” 

Wallace shrugged, simply ignoring Daisuke’s obvious accusations. “It’s a nice place to be in during the holidays. The spirit of Christmas is really taken seriously. Back in New York, people tend to be busy and get caught up with one another.”

“Looks like New York isn’t as cool as people say it is,” Iori said. “I’ve always thought it was a white Christmas there.”

Wallace nodded. “It sounds nice and it looks nice when you see it on tv and the movies but it isn’t spectacular or anything.”

“Nothing for you is ever spectacular,” Daisuke muttered. This made Hikari nudge him without much force and in turn made Takeru chuckle. “Either way, I’m glad you're here, Wallace. It’s been a while and I actually do miss you.”

Wallace’s eyes widened and his eyebrows raised. “You miss me?” he echoed. For him, that was a first for someone. “You. Miss me? You?”

“Am I not allowed to?” Daisuke raised an eyebrow.

Wallace smirked.

Daisuke narrowed his eyes. “Don’t push it.”

Miyako laughed. “Don’t mind him, Daisuke. It’s just Wallace being Wallace.”

“You don’t know much about me,” the American-raised boy defended. It was an absolute surprise to hear that from someone he had not had much interaction with in a while. “How could you say that?”

“We know enough,” Takeru spoke. “Like how you consider us as your friends. After all, you accepted our invitation to this gathering.”

Wallace did not reply. His mind was wondering how this group of friends suddenly thought that they were somehow close. It was not as if he did not like the group, he liked them a lot, especially after they helped him with Kokomon. But he needed to figure out how to handle this.

Hikari smiled at him. “Onee-san is throwing a surprise birthday party for Sora-san the day after tomorrow. You should go, it’d be really fun. We’ll be there, and I’m sure Terriermon and Lopmon would enjoy the company of being with more of their friends.”

“I’ll think about it,” he replied, still a little lost in thought. This invitation to her future sister-in-law’s surprise birthday party was, for him, a big step. He had not known much about them, yet they were thinking highly of him here.

What went into his head when he called Daisuke Motomiya yesterday to tell him that he was in the country, visiting for the holiday and seeing the sights with his mom.

He had called his home’s telephone, which made him feel anxious because he was not so sure what to say if it had been someone else who would answer. Luckily, it was Daisuke who took the call right away.

Was it because he was indebted? Because they helped him get Kokomon back? He did not think so, it could be more than that.

Just then, the door of Daisuke’s room opened and Ken appeared with Wormmom beside him. “I’m sorry for being late,” he said, bowing.

“Ken!” Miyako grinned. “The food’s almost gone, help yourself to what’s left, Wormmon.”

Ken chuckled nervously. “I’m sorry, Wormmon. I’m sure there’s still some good food somewhere there.”

“Of course! I always choose the best of the best,” Miyako said proudly.

Wallace watched as Ken walked from the door and sat down in between Miyako and Iori. They had briefed him of the former Digimon Kaiser. He felt the anger boil inside him as they told him the story, how could someone do that to digimons?

But they had assured him that Ken had changed and was very much on their side. He was a little skeptical, and truth be told he still was, but he told himself to watch out for Ken before he could make his final judgment.

“Hello,” Ken greeted. “You must be Wallace.”

He nodded. “Yeah. And you’re Ken, right? Ken Ichijouji?”

Ken nodded. “It’s a pleasure to meet you,” he said, raising his hand.

Wallace blinked a few times before shaking his hand. “And it’s great to finally meet you.”

“Ken!” Wormmom called him. “This is Terriermon and Lopmon!”

The group all turned back. Ken had a smile on his face. “I hope Wormmon treats you well.”

“Hey!”

Everyone laughed.

Iori said, “Try the new chocolate drink, Wormmon. I told Armadimon to hide one for you.”

“Here it is!” Armadimon held up the box.

“Thank you, Iori and Armadimon,” Wormmon said happily as he began to consume the drink.

Wallace watched as they looked at the worm-like digimon drink. Despite what had happened before, they welcomed Ken with open arms. It might take a while but he hoped he would fully forgive Ken and replace the thought of the poor digimons with happier faces. It sounded easier in thought but perhaps interacting with him more will be good for them both.

“This is so good, Miyako!” Wormmon exclaimed. He then dug into some snacks. “It's a good thing I didn’t eat before coming here.”

Wallace laughed. “That’s true, the food you brought really did make me feel full.”

Miyako grinned again. “I told you all! Wallace does like Japanese food.”

“Then I’m sure you’ll like the food that will be prepared for the party,” Hikari stated, smiling. “Please come.”

“I’ll think about it,” he repeated. But to be honest, he was very keen on going. “I’ll have to ask Terriermon and Lopmon first,” he added. “And my mom, of course.”

“Yes!” Terriermon and Lopmon shouted at the same time.

Hikari giggled. “I hope your mom says yes, Wallace.”

‘I hope so, too,’ he thought. He smiled at them. “Yeah, let’s see.” 

On the way back to the hotel, Wallace carried Lopmon as Terriermon sat on his favorite spot, Wallace’s head. Wallace had not spoken to either of them as they walked. This did not go unnoticed by his digimon partners.

Both Terriermon and Lopmon were looking at their human partner, then they would look at each other, then back at Wallace, and then make eye contact again, and the cycle repeated a few more times before both sighed.

“What’s got you thinking?” Lopmon asked, looking up at his partner. He touched his cheek and patted it a few times. “You’ve been quiet since we left Daisuke’s house.” He tilted his head. “Don’t tell me you didn’t have fun, Wallace. I know you did, everyone could see it.”

Wallace sighed and looked down at the brown digimon. “I’m just wondering about the party they invited me to. Invited us to.”

“What about it?” Terriermon questioned. “You want to go, don’t you? I saw the way you smiled, you seem excited about it.”

“I do,” he admitted. “I do want to go and it does seem pretty exciting.” But as they left the Motomiya residence, he had a sudden reflection about the other Chosen Children. “But what about the others? I don’t know much about them, they don’t know much about me. I’ll feel left out.” He was never really scared of being alone, but he found this situation different. Maybe because they all had something in common. “I don’t think it’d be fun if that was the case.”

Terriermon and Lopmon looked at each other.

“We’re sure Daisuke won’t leave you alone,” Terriermon said. “And neither will the others.”

“You can’t be sure,” Wallace said.

“Sure we’re sure,” Lopmon said. “They like you, Wallace. They won’t let you feel left out. I’m sure they’ll even introduce you to the others.”

Wallace bit his bottom lip. “I’ll ask Mom if we can go. It won’t be until the day after tomorrow, I don’t think it’ll be too sudden.”

“And besides, your mom will be happy you have friends here,” Lopmon added and Terriermon nodded in agreement.

That made Wallace smile. “Yeah, I think she will be.”

“Cheer up, Wallace.” Terriermon smiled. “I’m sure everyone will be glad if you go.”

He nodded. “Let’s go ask Mom then.”

Both Terriermon and Lopmon grinned. “Yay!” they exclaimed.

“You two do seem so excited about this,” Wallace said, chuckling.

“We want to see you happy,” Lopmon told him. “And we’re glad that you have friends here.”

Wallace smiled and nodded. Then, it dawned on him that in a few days, before Christmas day, he would have to leave the country and head back to New York. He had not told them this—they had not asked—but he would have to soon and it made him feel sad knowing that he would leave them behind. “Just when things were brightening up,” he murmured.

“What was that?” the two digimons asked in unison. “What did you say?”

Wallace shook his head. “It’s not something I want to talk about right now, and I don’t want to think about it yet either. Let’s just enjoy the rest of our stay here while we can. Japan is a nice place, let’s not ruin the vacation. Okay?”

The two digimons looked at each other for a few seconds before nodding as they shifted their eyes to Wallace. “Okay.”

As Wallace and the twins expected, his mother was very happy that he had made friends. “I didn’t expect this,” she admitted.

“They’re the same friends I told you about before,” he said. “I…missed them.”

“Is that why you wanted to come here for the holiday?”

Wallace nodded slowly.

His mother grinned. “I’m glad you’re finally letting yourself out there.” Then she tilted her head. “But how did you find them?”

“I asked for help from Mimi-san,” he answered. “You remember her.”

“Oh yes, that pretty girl you met back home.” She smiled.

“She’s in a relationship,” he immediately said, knowing where that smile was headed.

She giggled. “Alright then. When is the party again?”

“The day after tomorrow,” he replied. “A lot of people will be there. My friends and their older brothers and their friends as well. And Terriermon and Lopmon’s friends, too.”

“My, isn’t that a big party,” his mother said. “And you don’t know the others?” Wallace shook his head. “You won’t feel out of place?” Again, he shook his head. “You won’t be in the corner alone?” He let out a soft chuckle before shaking his head once more. He was suddenly so sure, surprisingly, that he would not be left alone by the group. Terriermon and Lopmon really do have an effect on him. “But you’ll have fun, won’t you?”

“I will,” he assured. “I know I will.” He knew very well that he would have a lot of fun. ‘I know I will,’ he repeated in his head. ‘I know I will.’

“That’s good. That’s all I needed to hear.” His mom grinned. “So what’s the theme? What will you wear? We’ll need to make a good impression on them. I know how you can be, Wallace.”

He rolled his eyes. “It’s like you have no faith in me.” His mother frowned. “I don’t know much. I’ll call Daisuke and ask for more information.”

“Okay. But remember to just tell me if you need anything. Anything at all.”

“Yes, Mom.” He smiled.”You’re just as excited as Terriermon and Lopmon.”

“We’re just very happy for you, Wallace.” His mother leaned to kiss his forehead. “My sweet boy, I’m really happy for you.”

“Thanks, Mom.”

When she straightened her body, she added, “I would very much like to meet your friends one day. Maybe invite them after the party. Perhaps the next day or the day after that?”

Wallace nodded. “Yeah, I’ll ask them. Will you be cooking?” He had always loved his mom’s cooking and was very proud of how others liked them as well.

“Of course, I need to make a good impression on them, too.”

They both laughed.

The day of the party had arrived and Wallace was quite nervous about it. He had kept himself composed and ready for the event the past day but he did not think about what would happen as he was on the way to the Takenouchi residence.

“Aren’t you excited?” Terriermon asked cheerily.

“I am!” Lopmon answered. “What about you, Wallace?”

Wallace put on a smile. “I am. I am excited. But I’m a little nervous, but I guess that’s a normal thing to feel when you’re about to meet a bunch of new people.”

Lopmon nodded. “Don’t worry, you’ve got us. We can leave anytime you want.”

“Thanks, guys.”

They continued to walk and then finally arrived at the condominium. As they entered, having made sure that Terriermon and Lopmon had returned to playing as stuffed animals, he walked to the receptionist and informed them that he was there for the surprise party in the apartment of the Takenouchis.

Just as the receptionist gave him the floor and room number, an unfamiliar voice called his name. “Wallace?”

He turned around and recognized the man in front of him. “Koushiro.”

The redhead smiled at him, his digimon partner in his arms. “That’s me.” He walked closer to Wallace and stopped just a few inches away from him. “Takeru-kun said you would come.”

“I was a little hesitant,” he lied, not wanting to sound too eager. “But I thought it would be fun to make new friends and, you know, hang out with them.”

“I’m glad you think so. I’m sure Taichi-san and the others would love to meet you. Mimi-chan is here already. I know you two are acquainted with one another.”

“Yes,” he said. “We met in New York one time, she recognized my partners.”

Koushiro nodded. “This is Tentomon.” Then he paused. “Let’s get going,” he said as he looked around the lobby. There were not many people but they still had to be careful.

The two, with their partners, rode the elevator going up. Wallace was getting a little more nervous now. He got a warm welcome from Koushiro, yes, but what about the others?

��What’s got you hot and bothered by this, Wallace?’ he questioned himself. ‘This shouldn’t keep you on your toes.’

“They’re really nice,” Koushiro said, as if reading his mind. “My friends are really nice. You don’t have to worry about them. Not even Yamato-san can ruin your mood.”

“What do you mean?”

Koushiro smiled. “He’s been a handful before, but he’s become very mellow over the past few years. He smiles a lot more, too, ever since he started dating Mimi-chan.”

Wallace looked at him.

“I didn’t read your mind, if that’s what you’re thinking,” Koushiro added with a soft chuckle. “I just saw it in your body language.”

Wallace raised his eyebrows. He was always so calm, not once had he shown people his true thoughts and feelings. How did Koushiro know about this?

“I was like you before, back when I was young. Even before I met Taichi-san and the others. I hid myself behind my laptop, not once showing emotions. But when I started hanging out with them…it felt good, it felt nice. I felt like I belonged. That’s how great they are.” Koushiro looked at him. “Chosen Child or not, they’re nothing to be afraid of.”

Wallace grinned. “Thank you.”

They reached their floor and they quickly walked to the apartment. Not everyone was there yet but when Daisuke saw that Wallace had arrived, he grinned and walked over to him. “You came! You’re here!” 

Terriermon and Lopmon grinned as well. “Are the others here, too?” Terriermon asked.

“Of course,” Daisuke answered. “They’re at the back.”

Terriermon and Lopmon leaped from Wallace’s arms and ran down the hallway.

“They’re excited,” Koushiro said as he let Tentomon fly away. “I’ll catch up with you guys later.”

Wallace gave him a nod while Daisuke’s eyes followed Koushiro’s steps. When he was in the kitchen, Daisuke grabbed Wallace’s wrist and dragged him to the living room. “You have to meet Taichi-san!”

Wallace’s heartbeat raced. He was about to meet the highly talked about Taichi Yagami.

They stopped in front of a young man whom Wallace knew all too well just basing it on pictures. “Taichi-san!” Daisuke greeted. Taichi looked back and gave Daisuke a questioning look before looking at Wallace. “Taichi-san, this is Wallace.”

“Oh, so you’re the Wallace Hikari-chan talked about.” He raised his hand and said, “Taichi.”

“It’s so great to finally meet you.”

Meanwhile, in the background, they ignored Daisuke’s question about Hikari talking about Wallace to her older brother.

“Sora will be here soon, I suggest you find a place to hide. Daisuke can lead you around. I’ll get to know you more later, alright?”

Wallace nodded. “Okay.”

Daisuke narrowed his eyes. “Hikari-chan talks about you.”

Wallace could not help but laugh. “Let’s find a place now. As Taichi said, Sora will be here soon.”

The surprise party was a success. Sora arrived with her mom and was shocked to see her friends surrounding her and shouting “happy birthday”.

Sora’s eyes teared up but she was smiling from ear to ear. “And I wonder who came up with the idea,” she said, giggling.

Taichi went up to her and intertwined his fingers with hers. “Take a wild guess.”

She giggled some more and gave her fiancé a kiss and everyone clapped. Then, Sora went over to hug and thank everyone in the room, including Wallace.

“It’s very nice to meet you,” she said when she stopped over to hug and thank him. “I’ve heard good things about you.”

For some reason, that made Wallace’s cheek turn pink. “I hope so.”

Sora smiled.

The party was still in full swing—that is, everyone was chatting with each other and the food and drinks needed refilling—when Wallace headed over to the balcony for some fresh air. He was just overwhelmed with how friendly the others were, how they welcomed him with open arms, and how comfortable he was with them. He hated that he would be leaving soon.

He has instructed Terriermon and Lopmon to play with the other digimons as he wanted to be alone for a while. The twin digimons seemed to have sensed it as they did not object to the request.

Just then, someone stood beside him, holding up two drinks, and offering one to him. Wallace did not bother to look up as he took the cup, he was actually thirsty but was not yet ready to go back inside. “Thank you.”

“If you just want to stay silent that’s fine with me, but let me stay here with you for a bit.”

Wallace nodded. “The party’s a success.” He looked back at the gathering behind him and then back to the horizon. “Taichi really loves her.”

“He does,” Daisuke said. “They’re in love.”

“How are you and Hikari?”

Daisuke sighed. “I’ll give up soon enough. She and Takeru have a lot of stuff going on, going around each and all. They have a history. They have the present. And,” he paused. Wallace could see how heartbroken Daisuke was about this. “And they have a future.”

Wallace pursed his lips. “There’s someone else out for you, I promise.” He placed a hand on Daisuke’s shoulder and rubbed it. “I know it.”

Daisuke smiled. “Thanks, Wallace. You’re a good friend, you know that?” He raised his hand and rubbed Wallace’s shoulder. “I know Mimi-san is missing a lot.”

Wallace shook his head. “Why does everyone think I’m into Mimi?”

“Uh, because it’s obvious? The way you keep looking at her? The way Yamato-san looks as if he’s about to start a fight soon.”

Wallace felt like he was shrinking. “I didn’t notice.”

Daisuke laughed. “Anyway.” He regained his composure. “I don’t want to ask but it’s bound to happen. When are you leaving?”

“Three days from now,” he answered, his head bowed down. “I don’t wanna leave,” he admitted. “I’m…having a good time.”

Daisuke nodded. “Yeah, I know you are.”

They stayed quiet until Daisuke ended it by asking, “What do you want for Christmas?”

Wallace cocked his head to the side. “What?”

“What do you want for Christmas?” Daisuke repeated. “You’re leaving three days before Christmas Day and I want to give you something before we part ways.”

Wallace was silent. Then, he took out his phone and handed it over to the man in front of him. “Can you give me your email?”

“My email?” Daisuke echoed.

“Yeah,” Wallace nodded, “I’d really like it if we talked some more. Even when I’m back in the US, I want to be able to communicate with you guys properly.”

Daisuke grinned. “You read my mind.”
