"Double Spiral Vortex" by Gabriel Kelemen

I think the way maths and physics are taught shouldn't be limited to numbers and abstract graphs. Many students end up hating these subjects, and their language that doesn't seem to make much sense, while it's actually embedded into the language of nature. There's so much poetry in numbers, in spirals and spheres, in solids and surfaces, it's a shame that it took me so much to realize it. The abstract is actually much more tactile than it seems.

You can argue, even in the fields that are furthest from direct experience, like theoretical physics, theories are still conceived in relation to our supportable reality.

COMENTARIU CRITIC

       Format în climatul foarte deschis spre inovație, spre prospectare artistică al Timișoarei, Gabriel Kelemen este unul dintre continuatorii filonului experimentalist susținut încă din deceniile șapte și opt de grupurile „111” și „Sigma”, de artiști ca Romul Nuțiu, Paul Neagu, Adina Caloenescu. Absolvent al secției de sculptură (clasa lui Peter Jecza) și solicitat de perspectivele deschise de aventura științelor pozitive – fizica, chimia, biochimia, genetica – sau de teoria simbolurilor, el s-a dedicat explorării relațiilor dintre repertoriile formale și materia ce îl interesează nu în ipostaza solidă, inertă, (provizoriu) stabilă, ci în stările sale fluide, în care procesualitatea sa este sesizabilă în tropismul spre formă. Această complezență față de jocurile prospective ale relaționării efemere cu forma sunt captivante pentru artistul în căutarea unor coduri formative, ce ar trebui să lege toate palierele unei realități în permanentă multiplicare, fiind diferențiată în devenirea sa actualizantă, subordonată însă unei ordini, unei structuri în act

În seara de luni, 6 mai, de la ora 19.00, în sala Capitol a Filarmonicii “Banatul”, va avea loc spectacolul sincretic VORTEX SYMPHONY, în care muzica va fi susţinută de o componentă vizuală: proiecţia “Arhetipuri vizuale”, realizată de artistul Gabriel Kelemen.
