kim taerae he's literally the most delulu out of all of them. he might not seem like it, but he definitely is. while hanbin and jiwoong are the ones writing the fanfictions, he's the one who's constantly reading them. he loves covering zumblr songs and uploading his singing onto youtube and tiktok. taerae rewatches delulu planet 999 often and is constantly sad about all the eliminated trainees. he really likes to trade his photocards for no specific reason. he's incredibly bad at voting and streaming though. he is an ot9.

park gunwook he's the friend gyuvin annoyed into becoming a zb1. he started watching delulu planet 999 when it was already too late and almost ending and he really regretted not tuning in earlier. he's a big zb1 now even though his #1 pick (tea) didn't make it. but he's still a bit more chill compared to some other members. he doesn't buy albums because he wants to save up to go to one of their concerts instead. he streams zumblrs music kind of unintentionally as it's always playing on loop while he's his doing homework. he doesn't bias anyone in the group. A lot of people are saying goodbye to Cherry Magic but honestly, even though the series is ending (that is unless they later on decide to make a Season 2 or do a movie) the fandom is still very much alive!

I, and many others, aren’t going to leave the fandom once the show is over. I’ve already seen a 31 Days of Cherry Magic fanfiction prompt and I know that I and many others will continue to write fanfic for the series. I am sure artists will continue to make fanart, and others will continue to make fan videos.

Not to mention there is still new content that will be coming out! In late January they’re releasing the official background music for the series. In late March they’re releasing the DVD that’ll have an additional 30 minutes of BTS content. The manga is still continuing (it has 6 volumes, and the creator has said she will continue to make more) and there will continue to be English versions released (so far only Volumes 1 and 2 have been released in English, Volume 3 in English will be released also I believe in March).

Also while there hasn’t been any indication of a Season 2 or a movie, both Akaso Eiji and Machida Keita have said they would return if asked to return for any additional content, so that’s wonderful to hear in of itself! I think the creators didn’t expect this series to be so popular. From what I understand Tokyo TV isn’t something that is even shown to all of Japan, but the show became both a hit within Japan and outside of Japan. The show gained international attention, and seems to be doing very well all throughout Asia on WeTV, especially in Taiwan (and Hong Kong, I believe too).

While this is not to say the show will get a Season 2 or a movie, I think this will at least put more demand on Japan to make more BL series, seeing how popular Cherry Magic was, which is itself amazing!

I am so proud to be a part of this fandom and I will not be saying goodbye to the series once Episode 12 and the bonus episodes air!

Ok I finally have the time to dump out all of my thoughts on ep 7

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH (this was my brain while watching the episode the first time).

Now that we got that out of the way, how is this only ep 7 out of 12 total?! We already got mutual confessions and they’re now officially dating???!!!!! This is honestly such a rarity in romance dramas or rom-coms even, always it’s the getting together that’s the ending climax but we never usually get anything of their developing relationship beyond the getting together like whattttt. That’s the sort of stuff you can only get in fanfiction and I grew up on that stuff so the serotonin receptors dedicated to fanfiction in my brain was going wild watching this show.

We definitely got Kurosawa’s side of the story in this ep and it was such a treat. I do wonder if Machida Keita finds Kurosawa relatable as a character since they’re both ikemen and there was an anecdote that Machida was swarmed by a 100 girls after a dance practice. It would have been nice to get Machida’s thoughts on that aspect of the character. Also I can’t help but feel that Kurosawa being cursed by his good looks is something that tends to be gendered female in most media, I know men do get cursed by good looks in real life albeit in a different way from women. But it’s interesting seeing Kurosawa essentially getting catcalled, dismissed by the other men for his good looks, and getting creeped on at the company dinner. Basically being shown his entire life that his worth as a human is only in his looks. I’ve only ever seen these tropes applied to women in media so that was the main running thought I had during those scenes. I would love to know if anyone else noticed that.

Also Adachi not being good with alcohol is literally me (I get tipsy from just half a can of apple cider). But omg the parallel between Adachi catching a drunk Kurosawa and Kurosawa catching a sick Adachi is just full of art. And I just loved that shot with Adachi awkwardly and slowly rising into frame from Kurosawa’s POV, it’s very reminiscent of Edgar Wright’s shot style with the way characters appear in frame. And Adachi being so gentle with Kurosawa is TT I just love those subtle callbacks to how Adachi was so touched by Kurosawa’s kindness towards him being contrasted with how Kurosawa was touched by Adachi’s kindness in the same way. Gah I love it when there’s consistent motifs reinforcing the overall emotional structure of the show, which is also supported by a consistent film language. 

Adachi’s confession to Kurosawa was ugh god. I so relate as someone who is very awkward with stuff like that (I’ve only ever confessed to people in writing and the one time I did it in person was nerve wracking). Adachi was so brave (and the way he told Kurosawa to shut up and listen was fucking great). Also that was the most emotionally layered hug I’ve ever seen depicted on screen, I kept replaying it seeing Adachi finally reciprocating the hug, Kurosawa feeling so many things and cupping Adachi’s neck in response, and Adachi in turn relaxing more into Kurosawa’s neck.

And finally, I am not ready to see Kurosawa openly flirting with Adachi omg.
