Quick run to @usinterior today to deliver public comments because the Milwaukee office was #shutdown and our package couldn’t be delivered. These comments, and thousands like it submitted by the public, support protecting the Boundary Waters from toxic mining. PLEASE READ... I'm crabby because looking at this photo pisses me off right now. The thought of losing access to more to bills like HR 621 and 622 difficult to stomach. These bills deem certain places "Worthless". In case you haven't noticed, I LOVE open spaces and wild places. Conveying the emotion one feels when engulfed by the beauty of our public lands is a nearly impossible feat. Photos and Words will never touch your soul. Flicking thru images will always fall short of the visceral connection provided by life experiences. I’m not a political person, but public lands have been a sore for me lately. We all enjoy wild spaces in different ways.... Hiking, running, hunting, kayaking, cycling, off-roading, camping, painting, living, etc. However we enjoy them, we probably all agree that losing land access is a bad thing in most cases. Don't take my word for it. Do a little research, make an informed decision, and support or assist in any way you can.
