Sunday Inspo 🙏 I have been working on my relationship with God/Jesus and myself a great deal lately (after allowing it to not be my priority for a while.) Which naturally always brings a declaration of war towards to devil. Don't believe me? Try it yourself. Surrender to Jesus and start trying to do better and watch every obstacle get thrown your way. Satan doesn't want to lose one soul and he will do everything in his power to hold you back and make it harder on you. You will also be tested by God to see how serious you are. So it isn't an easy walk but, it is certainly worth it. Anything worth having isn't going to be easy anyway. I have been working on my anger and unforgiveness. Sometimes you don't even realize how much anger and unforgiveness you have until you start working on being a more righteous person and doing what God asks of you. And, it just so happens that when we ask for things like patience/self control/forgiveness, they aren't just given to us, we are given opportunities to practice those qualities. So I have been getting tested left and right. I haven't been passing very often. But, I'm working on it. All I know is that I would rather please God than any human walking this earth. I would rather be on his side than any other side. I would rather stumble a thousand times, if it meant spending eternity with God. The fading voice of Nathaniel's mother's compelled a roll of eyes. It induced him to swiftly accelerate his skateboard with a lick of his foot, disregarding the verity that he was arriving to a date through dreadful transportation and a mess of clothes. For the short while he's been in Mystic Falls, everyone seemed to indulge in gifting him unwanted attention. While it was a comical option of activity, it was also strange. At least to an extent. He's not familiar with the endless flattery; he was usually just labeled 'That Kid That Always Shoots Bullets Of Paint At Me'.

Not that he minded. It was true.

Nathaniel whizzed downhill, ultimately scraping the board's tail along the gravel of the road when his eyes skimmed the words 'Mystic Grill.' Huffing a brief titter, Nate propelled the board into his hand in nimble movement. He jogged towards the entrance, noting the painful silence that advanced when he ambled inside. "A little tip," he called out to nonexistence, eyes searching the room. "Don't keep your date waiting."

Those aren't just 90's lyrics to a Suzy Bogguss (Judy Collins) song. Definitely not the easiest way. But, I've never done things the easy way. I do things the right way. . . . As you get closer in your walk with God, Satan will do everything in his power to knock you off your path. It never fails. When I am wondering around mindelessly, my life is pretty easy and simple. I don't get the things I want and my heart is not at peace but, it just runs smoother. Smoother is not good enough. Smooth is not what I want. I want peace and happiness. I want all that I deserve. I want to please God. This is the walk of every Christian. And you know what I'm talking about. Doing the right thing and walking the righteous path is never the easy way. Darkness will encumber you and try to lead you astray. That is when you have to be extra diligent, my friends.
