Hey. Still alive. Just been staying off of social media for... obvious reasons.
Anyways, happiness post #1507 (Nov 2- 10)
I played satisfactory
I played peglin
I had Mac and cheese
I had good food
And I survived up to now.
Don't worry, my next post shouldn't take more than a week next time.

Voids
In otherkin spaces I see many people talk about voids and how much they want to live in one, but I rarely find anyone who wants to BE the void that people go to. I am a void, and I will protect and keep anyone safe that needs it. If I could i'd leave this mortal body and become a vast space and time where I have no physical features except a tiny entity that appears when my inhabitants need a hug. Is there any other Voidlings out there? Or anyone that needs a void? because I am here if needed!

Cobflicting Lives- Chapter 4: The Meeting (pt.1)
Word Count: 2050
As he and Scar walked into the meeting room as Lux and Hotguy, Scythe was relieved to see that the only other people that were there other than Voidling seemed to be iWork, Tek, and Cuteguy.
He walked over to where Voidling was talking with iWork, and the two older men looked at him expectantly. “Would I be able to speak with you for a moment Voidling?” Scythe asked after a second or two of silence.
“Of course Lux.” Voidling said, getting up from his chair. The pair walked towards an unpopulated corner of the meeting room. “What did you need to tell me?” the older hero asked.
Scythe took a deep breath. “You know about how I put up an illusion to further keep my true identity a secret from the public,” he looked at Voidling, who was nodding with eyes full of curiosity, “But I didn't have time to grab my uniform from my room before I came over here.” Voidlings eyes opened a bit in shock for a moment, then softened in understanding.
“So the illusion you have right now is for both appearance and clothing then, correct?” he asked Scythe. And he nodded in response.
“I’m not sure how long I can keep one up without revealing the other, either. Even just starting it I can tell that I’m not going to be able to hold both for more than like an hour or an hour and a half, max.” Scythe continued explaining. He didn't know what Voidling was thinking, and just the thought of anything being revealed to other heroes he didn't know well enough to trust very well made his stomach turn over itself.
There were only a few seconds before Voidling responded, but it felt like hours. “I can try to keep it as short as possible, but with what I’ve gotten I don't expect this meeting to be that short.” He finally said, concern filling his eyes as he looked at Scythe. “If you need to leave for a moment during it if you feel like the illusion is falling, by all means take a breather.”
Scythe contemplated for a moment, mulling over the offer that Voidling had given him. “That could work, but I also don't want to miss out on what has happened.” That much was true, but he may have told a small white lie as he continued, “The situation concerning the last meeting has been eating at the back of my head, and I want to try and help as much as I can. It feels like I can't do that if I have to leave because of my stamina capacity.” Well, maybe only part of it was a lie.
“I understand where you’re coming from,” the older hero said in a comforting tone, “But I also don't want you to over exert yourself for the sake of some information that I can get to you at a different time.” Voidling put a hand on Scythe's shoulder, and he looked up at the masked man. “Don't push yourself beyond your limit when you don't have to or aren't comfortable with doing so.”
Scythe took a deep breath and looked down once more, looking back up a moment later. “I… I could just let a little down. Not enough to be super noticeable, but enough to let off some of the drainage.”
Voidling was silent for a moment longer, and took his hand off of Scythes shoulder. “Just don't push yourself too far. I may not be as close to you as some of the others are, but that doesn't mean I don't care and worry about you.” With that, he turned around and walked back towards the table, where the rest of the heroes seemed to be filing in.
Scythe took another few seconds to recuperate, then walked back to the table himself. As he approached, the last of the heroes to arrive walked through the door. Joel walked in, and it looked like he just got out of bed. Scythe assumed that his messy hair was from flying, as his artificial wings were also fluffed and messy from the air.
The white-winged hero walked over to the area where Scythe sat, and chose a seat next to him, moving his wings farther ti back to drape over the back of the chair. The pair looked at eachother, having a silent conversation of how much it sucks to be rushed.
“It looks like everyone is here. Thank you all for coming on such short notice. I do want to start by apologizing for the rush, especially as many of you aren't exactly very close to our building here.” iWork was the one to start off speaking, and he continued on, “however some information we've just received from one of our IOs needed to be discussed immediately.””
Voidling reached his hand under the table where he sat and the small click of a button was heard. A forgotten door in a back corner opened, and everyone's eyes went wide as four people walked out. Two of them looked well dressed and prepared, while the other tel looked rushed and a bit unkempt. And there were at least three heroes in the room that knew at least one of those people.
Scythe felt like all of the oxygen left his body. He made eye contact with Lunar and Augustus, then with Etho and the fourth IO, his identity unknown, but something eerily familiar about them. The red highlights of their outfit and the blond, unkempt hair definitely belonged to someone he knew, the name just on the tip of his tongue.
He prayed that he hadn't gone too pale as he then locked eyes with Voidling when scanning the room for the others’ reactions. Voidling seemed to be talking to him through the silence, Step out if you need it, Lux, his eyes seemed to say. Scythe knew that he wasn't pale because of the illusion efforts, but because he wasn't expecting to see three of his closest friends infront of him, and in front of all of the other major heroes throughout the island.
Trying to gather his composure, Scythe took a deep breath and tried to calm his racing mind. His head had started to ache from all the thoughts darting around, and he took a few moments to calm them down, steady his breathing, and check his illusion to make sure it hadn’t faltered in the moment of panic.
He turned around to look at Joel, who also seemed to be a bit pale in the face, despite the light pink hue riding on his cheeks. Joel looked back at Scythe, a look of slight fear in his eyes as they both realized the situation, and the pink faded from the winged man's face. The pair then looked at scar and the three exchanged knowing glances, but making sure to look amongst the others as well. Thankfully they all seemed to be as confused as they are, if not a little pale too.
“These are the four IOs that had agreed to gather information for us at the last meeting.” Voidling said once everyone seemed to calm down and gather themselves once more. “These are Storyteller, Snowfall, The Above, and Slab,” they each waved as their name was announced, “and I feel that they each have a very valuable piece of information to give us all.” Voidling turned around to face the four IOs. “Storyteller, would you like to go first?”
Lunar, or rather Storyteller, stepped forward. “Sure. Thank you for inviting me here. I was asked to gather information about the routes that Ender takes at night, from where they split from Tanuki after any chosen activities, and figure out the area where they seem to be located.” She looked around the meeting room, meeting the eyes of a few heroes, sparing Scythe from eye contact in the already awkward situation.
Even though Scythe knew that Lunar knew what she was saying and how they were going to say it, he couldn't help but feel anxious. He was putting an incredible amount of trust in someone he knew very well, but even that didn't stop the farthest corners of his thoughts spiraling.
“What I have found by slowly trialing Ender is a semi-consistent direction that he travels in. Oftentimes, he heads in a south west direction. This does vary a lot of however, and I've seen him go north and east before for a very long while before he eventually turned back towards Cursia.” Lunar at last looked at Scythe, then back at Voidling who was watching and listening very intently. “This leads me to believe that Ender may be staying somewhere in Cursia, though I have yet to follow him past the border line. Each time I have tried to do so, it has been far too late into the night for me to continue any longer.”
Lunar had finished speaking at last after what felt like hours, and stepped back to where the others were. Scythe realized he had been holding his breath a bit, and let out a slow exhale. Joel seemed to hold his as Voidling spoke next, “Thank you Storyteller. What you have brought to us is greatly appreciated. Slab, would you please step forward and present what information you have to offer?”
Scythe felt bad for the winged man behind him. Slab, or Etho as Scythe knew him, was one of Joel's two partners. Void knows what he would be feeling right now if Ella was one of the IOs standing up there, so he could only imagine what Joel was feeling.
“Of course. I was asked to provide similar information as the Storyteller was, but about Tanuki instead of Ender,” Etho started. “From what I have been able to gather myself, Tanuki has been seeming to head north more often than any other direction, though I have followed him as far as the Wynnran border a small number of times. What I believe is that he may have a home in a few different cities, though they seem to be mainly in Empyria and Wynnra.”
Etho stepped back into the line, and Scythe heard Joel breath a small sigh of relief. He looked around at the others to see if anyone had noticed, but thankfully it seemed as though no one else did. “Thank you Slab. Your additional information will greatly aid us in our search.” Voidling said.
Then the masked hero turned to the third IO in line. “The Above, would you care to speak next?” Voidling asked, and Scythe could feel butterflies rising once more in his stomach.
“I would be honored,” Augustus said. “Before I present my information however, I would like to make a clarifying statement. I am mainly a weapons developer, and only gather information for others as the need arises. Information gathering is not my specialty, but I was not going to refuse someone that needed help for a good cause.
That being said, I was asked to bring information about the way that both Ender and Tanuki fight. What I have found isn't all too much, either. From what I can tell, they balance eachother out to make fighting others easy at all ranges, Ender seeming to keep a bit farther back and Tanuki seeming to keep closer in.” Augustus looked around the meeting room, pausing on a few people's gaze, including scythes. His look seemed to ask if he was revealing too much, and Scythe quickly blinked once as a way to tell him he's fine. And so the masked IO continued, “I believe they work as a team because they balance their own strengths and weaknesses with the others, proving for a force to reckon with.”
At last, Augustus stepped back into the line, finalizing what information he could give. It was a few more seconds before Voidling spoke again, and he seemed to be lost in thought for that short amount of time. “Thank you for what you have been able to give us. We now know how we can try to combat both of these villains if it comes to a fight.” He said atlas. “Snowfall, thank you for waiting. Would you like to give us your findings?”
AN: Next chapter is going to have a TW, so enjoy the calm(ish) before the storm

I occasionally get weird and wacky AU ideas. Nothing new there for us voidlings. But I've had this au in my head for a bit and honestly it's mostly just vibes. Eddie Brock + Venom (not sold separately) end up in BNHA. Eddie, who has seen some shit and lives in a wild wacky world is just like "Well, wasn't expecting this bullshit today" and adjusts pretty well. Nedzu of course does as he does in every crossover ever and is like "hey come to my school" Eddie, who is an investigative journalist and has a pretty nuanced understanding of human behavior and politics surrounding people with abilities is like "sure, want me to teach an extra credit class as well?" Meanwhile he never mentions the whole, ya know, alien he's sharing his body/mind with that makes cannibalism a necessary part of his diet. Venom is referred to exclusively using neutral pronouns btw, i respect they use male pronouns but it's also stated that they tend to use the pronouns of their current host and that's is not actually a gender identity thing for them, because they are unicellular goop from space and don't actually have that. Anyways obviously this class teaches the kids about how to investigate stuff better, like what clues to keep an eye out for, common trends in behavior, first hand accounts etc. Part of the class includes of course that Eddie explains the distinctions between hero, vigilante,anti-hero, criminal, villain, terrorist etc because BNHA is hella black and white with all of that and doesn't acknowledge nuance very well. Some of the necessary vibes come from the idea of Eddie pulling tokoyami aside and being like "hey kid uhh how much sharing of body/mind is going on between you and your sentient shadow there. Cause uhhh you're a teenage boy, and buddy over there acts like they're you're annoying little sister so... Can I interest you in some therapy for how traumatic that's probably been?" Cue the debate regarding Dark shadows age because are they the same age as tokoyami? But technically they were only 'born' when tokoyami was 4? Do they experience time when not physically present? How does their bond affect their maturity and relationships? Also the Venom/cannibalism reveal thing needs to happen under either the most absurdly comedic or absurdly gory circumstances, one or the other.
the vibes for this are fantastic

I watched the latest Shiloh and Bros video before going to bed last night, the one with the phantom imposter, and I had a crazy dream last night because of it!
It was also crazy because it mixed with some of the Void stuff from Neopets.
Okay so, I was inside the HQ touring the place as a new employee, and I saw the living areas, study rooms, all sprts of places, like a research lab mixed eith a collage. But as we were walking through the library, alarms started to go off and walls started to come down and doors started to shut!
There was an air leak and this base is sort of in space, so you have to be able to section places off. Mary and I were helping to get everyone out of the library before us, and unfortunately we're trapped there. But we saw through the windows that other people were trapped in the room across from us too. The phantom went by and we were quiet, but we still needed to find a way out before we ran out of oxygen.
I started leaning on the walls, and discovered they were actually made of cardboard! It took some effort, but we were able to break through the walls and help the others free too. We then made our way to the main evacuation bay as that's where everyone is supposed to meet in an emergency.
The POV then shifted to Shiloh, who I was, you know how dreams are. I was now a different person but the dream was still first person. Turns out, Shiloh was exploring different abandoned and closed off Raylos to try to understand what had happened to them, as well as tried to figured out what happened to their mom.
There was a huge tunnels of locked Raylo portals that no one was supposed to go in, but triggering so many of them caused the alarms to go off, and it was discovered that I/Shiloh wasn't the only thing coming back from those trips.
A quarantine team had been set up outside the portals, and prevented my reentry into the base. They wouldn't let me cross as I had been corrupted with void energy and they weren't sure how it would react. They also didn't want me exploring any more Raylos as the void energy could also corrupt those Raylos.
But I had to flee, I had to escape, I had to keep searching. Without meaning to, I blasted them with Void particles and drove into the nearest Raylo portal, it was a Victorian scene during the winter. It was hard to tell if it was new years of Christmas, but some big event was going on.
This wasn't the right place, and the quarantine team was still behind me, so I jumped to another Raylo, but I appeared just where I was. Something was preventing me from leaving. I looked at the void particles that were slowing growing up my arm, and they were indicating a direction to go in, so I followed.
There was a collection of voidlings, near an underground entrance, but they didn't seem aggressive at my approach. Did they think I was one of them? Was I one of them? Was I going to become one of them?
I couldn't dwell on it. If I became a part of the void, it would be very hard to return. I crept through the caves and found someone in control of the voidlings, they wanted control of me too. I could feel it. And they realized I wasn't as far gone as they had hoped.
I couldn't see their face, but they had a top hat, a cloak and a cane, like so many others in the Raylo. They tried to coax the void to consume more of me, they tried to get me to give in, but I wouldn't let it. I had a mission. I had to return. It hurt to resist the void, but I knew I had to. I also noticed they were using a device to control the void.
When they got close, I attacked them, the void particles turning into sharpened claws as I tried to tear the device off their arm and from their neck. I could tell the void wanted this. The void disliked this person. The void wanted them gone. I didn't know if it was right, and I tried to do minim damage, but with the device gone, I tried to redirect the attacks to their hat and their cloak, but there was nothing left. Was the device the oy thing hiding them together.
It didn't matter, I need it control my own void particles so I wouldn't dissappear. I attached it to myself, and the void particles started to receed.
With the device around me, and with a clearer head, I realized I could use the void particles to power up the telephoned to get out of this Raylo. I would have to report back and do research if this voidlings were native to this Raylo of if they too needed to be cured in some way.
I was able to jump back to the Raylo Portal tunnel, and things seemed to have calmed down. While I was gone, they ran tests on the particles. They are connected to something, and the device I brought back holds the key to what and who is behind this.
As they were fiddling with the device (which now has to be on at all times so the void particles don't spread) I received a vision who was at the other end. A void dragon who spread chaos, destruction, and death by breathing out corrupting void particles. This might be the beast that is destroying Raylos. This might be the beast that is responsible for everything! But the vision zoomed in on the dragon's eyes as the rest of the vision shifted to a woman in a green dress sitting at a bar. Her eyes shifted to green as well, and she looked like an older Shiloh. Around her neck was also the flat stone that powered the void device. Was she the dragon? Did she capture it? And was this mom? In that moment, before I could wonder too much, I realized, I could see this because she was looking through a mirror and I could see through her eyes, and she could also seen through mine. As I had this thought, both of the rocks glowed and the scientists fiddling with it were pushed back. No one would be allowed to touch this again. No one could know what I had just seen.
Mom's disappearance, the void particles corrupting raylos, the end of universe, it was all connected, and could just be my family's fault...
I mean, isn't that a wild dream! It helped that I had such terrible cramps last night and kept waking up in the middle of it! Otherwise I don't think I would had remembered so much of it!

4 cuz i'm that kind of person. (any oc)
or
3 cuz i think it's funny (okay but like tell me ur richest oc and then the poorest one.)
Really can't think of any ocs to fit with 4, so I'll go with 3: 3. What is your OC's financial status? Are they just scraping by, making enough to live comfortably, or wealthy? Has there ever been a drastic change in their status? If so, what happened?
Ok, so the answers here might actually a bit complicated. Out of my whole character roster (of which there are many), I don't exactly have ones that are RICH rich. Most of my active characters are middle class or upper middle class at best. There are however 2 characters who are capable of becoming stupidly rich, but neither have interest in actually becoming so.
One is--DS actually. With his powers, he could very easily hack in and yoink money from all the richest people in the Hub and keep it for himself if he wanted to. But he's not interested in money. He just wants to be an agent of chaos. Besides, if he really wanted to feel like a king, he could just do his thing in Cyberspace and conjure a simulation to make it so. The other is Fletcher, a character I haven't talked about too much on here. He basically has the Midas Touch power, so he could just turn a bunch of things to gold and be filthy rich. However, he's already content with his current life, and only ever uses his powers to help someone else. As for the poorest...Tbh Tiger, Luna, and Ruby would be among the poorest. They don't have much besides the clothes on their backs and a few other things, and no money to speak of. Luna DID once belong to a high class family, so you could say she was once rich. However, she had to leave it all behind when she became a voidling.

Racer IS my guy fr!!! He's my silly idiot who can't say the word 'oyster' ans I love him so so so much!!!!
I'm hoping and praying that one day I'll at least meet a Racer. If nothing else then I want somebody simluar to my friend to torment /silly
like all my other friends I wouldn't torment. besides maybe Hels. but he was basically my nephew so- However the shared love laungagw of the newsises was a) violence and b) physical contact. I need to make a friend I can just drop by for the sole reason of starting shit. Please its good for my health-
Uh anyways. I will not be over Racer for a while :D
Hope you're doing good Phil! I'll probably send in another ask at some point, just to share a project i'm planning in Minecraft, but until then I wanna hear how you're doing :D - Voidling Anon
haha yeah I get that! My mumbo lives walking distance from me (or uh they live walkin distance from my house they're further away rn cause we go to different colleges) and I did not do it often, but being able to just go over and text them like "hey bro let me into your house rn" so i could go be annoying was so nice sajkfhl rahggh i almost miss them now (no one tell my friends but like god i love them so much...)
anyway i've been chilling? not chilling but I've been getting into some other media because i've decided I don't want to just be the mcyt guy in my friend group. Unfortunately in doing that I've somehow ended up being the vtuber guy & the one crying about video characters every other day (IN MY DEFENSE IN STARS AND TIME IS SO GOOD THAT I CAN'T HELP IT) but ehhh they'll get used to my new rants eventually.
uhhh most of what I do now is just like school work, hanging out with my roommate. and trying to work up the courage to make friends with my second roommate. She's cool and we like vibe but she's like really cool and responsible and I'm honestly just slacking in comparison to her so I just try and stay outta her way haha... So yeah it's mostly just like hanging around the dorm room or going on walks for me! I've also been watching anime with the roommate i'm buddy-buddy with already! wasn't much into anime or manga before but all my friends are slowly dragging me into it with them finally lmao
Other than that uhmmm I've been working on art for my art blog again recently! kinda lost motivation to do that when I was mainly doing requests, but we're so back babey! I posted there for the first time in like a month so that's nice :]! I'm trying to figure out what I'm doin over there cause tbh uhhh idk I'm just between a lot of things rn and I don't know if I want to keep the blog like it's been or if I wanna change things up.
idk I'm just goin with the flow for now but i do have work to do too yknow? i've bumbled my way into being the serious business guy (geez im so many guys... i wear so many hats) in most friend/social groups I'm in so even though I'm a massive goober who's usually goofing around I'm the one who deals with serious stuff and uh I can't take a break from that ever sooo... it's like vibing with a side of having to but on my business man pants every now and then to keep things functional haha

In regards to your post about the trans father- this might be of some assistance https://at.tumblr.com/voidling-collective/to-people-who-are-desperately-asking-for/qxwjdwtsz9ic
i get quite a few messages like this whenever i have donation posts and such gain any traction. i get that you're trying to help, it means alot, but i'd like to say something about this
i don't post on reddit, like at all, i have absolutely nothing to say on there. this effectively bars me from any of the subreddits where you have to have a certain amount of "karma" or whatever to be allowed to post. & to be frank i don't. really have the energy to put into establishing an identity on a whole other site.. i have trouble simply keeping myself alive and taken care of most days.
there's also the fact that when i did find a sub where i could post when i was still trying to escape my current living situation, i had even less luck than i was having anywhere else. and this was before twitter started REALLY going to shit. this could have something to do with when people see an empty account, they think it's bullshit, people generally just not believing abuse victims, etc. but i'm not really in to think about it right now.
there's also the thing where i'll likely have more people expecting me to post proof of whatever situation, like pics, which is something i'd rather not risk because of how much that raises the chance of being recognized by the cunts i live with. i'm not quite savvy on people telling a person with chronic disability to "get a job faggot" either
tl;dr thanks for the suggestion, but getting to where i can post on these subs and have the people believe me enough to actually help is something i both don't have the time or literal energy for

@enchantedbrew asked: ⏰
Slip a ⏰to see a memory or a part of my muses' past. || Accepting
The memory fades into the living room of a quiet home in a big city, a newborn dragon whelp fully colored pitch black with little teal eyes in the arms of Melody Raydeo. In the joint kitchen Chamyle and Noir are discussing back and forth.
Or more like arguing.
Tumblr media
“Are you NUTS!? Did my old hive’s queen really screw you up that badly, through me? I can’t take care of a whelp, just because I found him! You’re the one who’s experienced in being a mom!”
Tumblr media
“And you’re the one who’s got the built-in instincts to take care of a child like this. I certainly won’t let you raise him alone, but do you really want him connected to a hivemind or worse?”
There’s a small growl from the voidling as she squints, the turns and throws her hands up in the air. “Stop making sense! I hate it when your logic makes sense!” A small huff as the sandwich meat in the fridge is grabbed, among a few other ingredients and appliances. “Fine, I’ll keep the kid. But I’m not calling him my child- He’s my baby brother, got it?”
Tumblr media
“That’s fine, I can work with that.” The cup is set aside as the human gets up to help her former nemesis. “He’s going to need a name though, y’know.”
That gives Noir pause, a glance back at where Melody had fallen asleep with the whelp on her chest.
“...Divodas. We’re calling him Divodas...”

Dropping small gear inside your newest creation by accident made you curse. Was there a possibility to shake it out or would you have to take the whole creation apart again and start from the scratch, you weren’t sure about that. The one thing that you were sure though was that you were not happy about what had just happened. The half-done Hextech creature laid on the desk, its bird-like legs sticking outwards from its headless body as you pulled your magnifier goggles out of your head and placed them next to your project. You had started to question your life choices recently after catching your hands shaking more often, making you drop the intrigue pieces that were essential to make the creatures move, however, the shop didn’t run itself. You knew that even if making one of your Hextech powered messengers would take eight days rather than six on your good days, it would still be profitable and allow you to keep your established standard of living on the upper part of the city. “Maybe I should make you have another pair of legs instead of wings? What do you think, do you want to be a rat instead of a bird?” You asked a question from the half-done creature, not expecting for it to answer. The time was already way past closing time for the regular shops, but you tended to keep your open. There were rarely any customers anyway, most of your work was made to order, like this small creature. Even if you wanted to make it into a rat, if customer wanted a stupid little Hextech bird, a customer got a stupid little Hextech bird. Maybe someday someone wanted a magical Hextech cat or a small Voidling, those would be something else than the regular birds that you made most of the time. In your mind, dropping the cog inside your creation was the universe's way to tell you to close the shop and do something else for a change. As you went to the door, you checked that everything was in their place, and put the small “closed” sign to your door, even though there probably wouldn’t be anyone that wanted your work in the middle of the night. It was most out of the habit, you had done it when you had helped your parents with the shop, and you would keep doing it after inheriting the shop from them. “One day I will change my career and make this into a flower shop and start selling those to the fancy ladies of the noble houses.” You spun around the shop while removing your working gloves and took your round glasses to your face instead of the magnifying ones. It was weird to see things in their right places after wearing the other pair for a whole day. The small staircase sets apart your living area from your ground level shop. While living alone, two rooms was more than enough for you, but when there had still been both of your parents and you, it had most definitely been a crowded place, even if it didn’t feel like that in your childhood. Nowadays, one of the rooms was your living room that you barely used and only went there to get to the small balcony, while the other one was your bedroom, filled with all of your important objects and a nice big and comfy bed. As you walked up and reached the kitchen area you decided that even if it was late, it was not too late for a nice cup of evening coffee. It only took a couple of pushes of buttons, and the machine started to boil you your treat. While waiting, you walked to the mirror on the wall, checking how messed up you looked after the day of work. “Well, it could be worse… I guess?” Your hair had become a ball of fluff during the day, and there was no reason to try to straighten it now, and your freckled cheeks had a slight reddish tint on them. “Maybe I’ll treat myself this month with some new clothes though.” It had been on your list for quite a while now, but one or two holes on your stockings didn’t really worry you. On the other hand, you had grown rather bored of your old dress, and even if it was made out of a comfortable material, you could use another one to give this one a day of rest from time to time. You kicked your boots out of your feet and removed your stocking, giving your legs room to breathe after a long day. It was time to relax, so grabbed the cup of coffee as you headed to your balcony, where you could do some people spotting. There had been stories about teenagers from Zaun busting into apartments, but most likely yours wouldn’t be the first target to them. The summer air of Piltover was warm and sitting on the balcony while there was a slight breeze was a nice way to wind down after the day. “Guess it won’t hurt if I keep you open for a while.” You said to the door as you finished your coffee faster than you cared to admit. Talking to inanimate objects has become your hobby, after working with them for such a long time. The house you lived in was like a tube from one room to another, and only the staircase and kitchen separated them, so you rarely kept any doors between the rooms closed. As you walked to your bedroom, you left the coffee mug where its empty, unwashed friends were already waiting for it on the table, and grabbed a small instrument case from the side table. It was a precious instrument to you which you had played for as long as you remember, and it didn’t matter that you weren’t that good at it. As you took the violin out of its case and placed it gently by your chin, ready to play, you went through all of the songs that you had practised recently. Without practising it didn’t take long until you started to forget how to play them, so you had a nice merry-go-round of songs that you swapped whenever you got bored of them. The melody you played was calm and from time to time you spotted a wrong note that slipped through, but for you it didn’t matter if it wasn’t breaking the whole song. Sometimes you wondered if with more practice you would’ve become better, but for your own entertainment, this level was good enough for you. In the middle of the fourth song, your hand gave in, and the quick twitching motion made you drop the whole song. There were only two options, either starting again from the beginning, or leaving it at that. One part of your brain wanted to play more, but you knew that it was wiser to let your hands rest so you could work tomorrow, so your violin and string found their way back to their case and to the table beside your bed. “There are multiple coffee mugs on the table, four or five, so maybe it’s their time to go to the kitchen and to get washed.” You thought as you grabbed all of them at once and tried not to drop any of them. You hummed as you walked to your kitchen and dropped mugs to the sink, ready to head to the bed. Before you got to leave the kitchen, a cold breeze caught your face, and you remembered the balcony door that you left earlier. Hopefully your very mediocre playing didn't disturb your neighbours, and they wouldn't leave angry notes at your shop's door tomorrow morning. When you got to the living room, your blood froze, and you were feeling how your face became pale. A shadowy figure was sitting on your living room chair, humming a melody that eerily resembled one that you didn’t finish while you were playing. “There is no way someone from Zaun has just broken into your home, it would never happen.” You told yourself as you contemplated if you should run or if there was any other way to get off the situation. “Excuse me.” The words that came out of your mouth like tiny trembling sounds. “If you want something please just ask, we can talk this through.” If you took a quick turn to the staircase, you could maybe get a couple of seconds head start to the intruder, and if they were after your earthly possessions, you could let them loot the whole apartment and hide somewhere. However, you were not a fast runner, so if they for some reason were after you, there was no way you would outrun them. “Please, tell me what you want. I’ll give you whatever you are after.” The shadowy figure lifted itself off the chair and started to approach you. As your brain screamed for you to start running, your body froze to its place, refusing to move, waiting for your inescapable doom. “Was it you who was playing before, miss Y/N? That was your name, yes?” The voice belonged to the man, tossing aside one of your unopened letters that was still laying on your living room table. “What a stupid reason why an intruder would figure out the name.” You scolded yourself for your own laziness as the man started slowly approaching you. You wanted to apologise about the noises you had made, but that would have escalated the situation even more. “Yes, I’m truly sorry if I disturbed you.” You pulled your hands towards your chest as a reflex to protect yourself, making you look as harmless as possible. “It was… lacking, yes. There was no beauty in your performance.” The man was tall and when he walked to you, you saw the white mask that was covering his face. He was most certainly not from Zaun, and his attire was extravagant enough to belong to the Piltover. The style, however, was completely different, and his accent sounded like he was not local. “I’m sorry, I won’t do that again.” You fought against the tears as you spoke. “No, you will perform. After something so displeasing, you must. That can’t be the finale.” The man sounded almost excited while talking to you, which didn’t ease your state of mind the slightest. “You… want me to play again?” “You must! That can’t be the end of your performance!” The stranger, whoever he was, clearly had taken interest in the horrible end of your playing. You nodded and tilted your head upwards, answering in a quiet tone. “If that’s why you are here, I’ll do it. Just please don’t hurt me.” “I never hurt anyone, now, quickly, I want to hear how you imagine things without interruption.” You started to walk backwards to your bedroom, not taking your eyes off the stranger. Whoever he was, he had appeared out of nowhere, probably from the balcony, so it wasn’t on your mind to let him disappear from your sight again. The lights of the apartment painted a glow to his mask, and you saw how he was wearing chipped black nail polish on the tips of his long fingers. As you got to the bedroom, the stranger had followed you, blocking your way out of the room. There was only one thing to do, and it was to obey, you thought as you opened the violin case again. “I wonder how you even play with an instrument like that.” You wanted to answer that it was the only one you had, but the less you said at this point the better. As you raised the violin and took the string, you noticed that your hands were trembling even more than previously. You sighed. There was nothing else you could do at this point, and with trembling hands, you prepared for the first notes, only to realise that the stranger, now leaning to the doorframe, was already humming the melody of the song. You sighed again and played the first sounds. “No! What are you doing?” The violin made a horrible squeeze as your hands couldn’t keep still, which had clearly upsetted the intruder. “Again.” As you tried to play the song again, you got a little bit further before you made the first mistake. This time it wasn't because of your hands, you were just careless and played the wrong note. “No, you can’t continue. You must be perfection.” His voice had lost all of the excitement that he had before. “I’ll try again if it’s fine.” “You have tried enough, now, give me the instrument.” The violin was an important item from your parents, but you were lacking options. As you offered it to the intruder, you were fully expecting him to smash it to pieces, but rather than doing that, you saw as he took it with the same posture as you while you were playing. It didn’t take long for you to recognize the song that he was playing, the same song that you had tried multiple times and failed time after another. There was something calming about his playing, and you had to pinch yourself to remember that this wasn’t a person you had invited to your house, he was someone that you had no idea what his true motives were. “Now, let’s try again.” He said after finishing the song and offered the violin back.
This time you got further than previously before stumbling to the note that wasn’t even really hard, you were just not prepared for that. The stupid mistake, and you weren’t sure if it had been caused by the fear or just the pure lack of rest, but one thing you knew. If there hadn’t been any changes on the stranger’s trail of thought, he was expecting for you to finish the song, and wouldn’t leave before that. First you had thought that the intruder was an angry neighbour, but with everything, the mask, the way he acted, there was no way that he had just been annoyed by your failed performance to yourself. He had been harmless so far, apart from breaking into your apartment, so you were starting to believe that he hadn’t come here to harm you. “Excuse me, mister…” You remembered too late that of course you didn’t know the intruder's name. “Jhin Khada.” Because of the mask, there was an obvious lack of expression on his face, which made his non-threatening tone of voice somewhat eerie. “Now, let us begin once more.” There had to be a reason why he wanted to hear you succeed, but there wasn’t a way to ask why he was so passionate about the subject. You took the posture for playing once again, and immediately after raising the string to prepare for the first notes, you felt how your arms got heavy and there was no way for you to finish this. However, failure was not an option, you didn’t want to know what failure would mean, so you bit your lip and started from the beginning. “Now remember, after this part, there is a change in the tempo.” You chanted to yourself. “Don’t mess this up now.” You closed your eyes to focus on the song, not the burning feeling on your wrists. The faster you’re done with this, the faster your passionate intruder might leave you alone. “Almost there, just a little bit more.” By some means you were getting closer to the end of the song, hoping that it would also be deemed sufficient to your unwelcome guest. The sharp pain. Your hand didn’t want to move. You battled against your body as hard as you could, and squeezed your eyes shut, hoping that it would help you to finish the song this time. “Oh, that shall not do, Y/N.” Jhin’s voice behind you. The feeling of his touch in your hand. The humming of the familiar melody, way closer than you were comfortable. You didn’t want to open your eyes when you felt his hand on top of yours, guiding it and taking the lead, as you pulled to the final part of the song. His scent, all around you, and without even looking, you knew that he was right behind you, in position to do whatever he wanted with you. “Yes, play to me.” His voice was more of a whisper in the middle of the humming of the melody. Were there words on this song, you didn’t know, and if there were, he seemingly didn’t want to tell them to you. The final pull of the violin string, the long note, disappearing into the night. You had finally completed your task. Even if the song had ended, you just stood in your place, eyes closed, Jhin’s hand on yours, holding the string that laid by the side of the violin. “You truly are like a puppet.” Jhin’s voice whispered close, too close to your ear. “I pull your strings, and you play so beautifully.” “Was that good? Am I free to go?” “No, Y/N.” He pushed your hand away, taking the violin off your hand. “There is a thing in my art, a thing that makes it special.” Your heart pounded on your chest as you heard Jhin walking away from you, and you gathered all of your bravery to peek at what he was doing. You spotted your violin, placed neatly on the table on its open case, and beside that, a white mask, the mask that Jhin had had earlier. You closed your eyes again, hoping that this would have all been a dream and that when you opened them again, he would be gone. “Are you scared?” “Yes.” “Scared what will happen to you?” “Please tell me why you’re here.” “The reason is you. Your playing brought me to you.” There was no way you were looking at him, but you wanted to know something, so you hung your head down and peeked at the floor. You saw his shoes, right in front of you, and pressed your eyes close again. “There is a certain quality in my art that you are lacking.” With a swift motion Jhin grabbed your waist and pulled you close to him, while his other hand forced your face off the ground. “Art should terrify.” The quick movement made you open your eyes, and in front of you was a man, with dark hair and sharp features, and his eyes looked directly into yours. When you saw his face, you almost hoped that he would’ve still worn the mask, because no features at all were better than seeing everything in great detail so close to you. “And when the art terrifies as beautifully as now, I cannot resist it.” The last thing you anticipated after his words was that his lips would find yours, and how they would intertwine together. There wasn’t a space to run, and when you tried to scream, Jhin took advantage of that with his tongue. You resisted, fought, and bit, and when he parted with you, his lips were smeared with your blood. “Don’t worry, Y/N. You’ll understand me, eventually.” Jhin didn’t let you go, even when he was wiping the blood from his lip to the side of his hand. “Many artists aren’t understood by the audience.” You tried not to think about the situation you were in. It was wrong in every possible way, but for some reason, you also felt hot, and you had to remember your mind that this was something that you don’t want. As much as you would’ve liked to deny everything that was happening, your eyes wandered to Jhin, his brown eyes, dark eyebrows, and sharp features. In different circumstances you could've found him good looking, maybe even attractive, but here and now there was only a discomfort of the things that are yet to come. “I wonder what you think when you see yourself.” Jhin turned you around, facing the large mirror that was placed on the corner of your room. He was now behind you, watching as you tried to escape your own image, turning your head sideways so you didn’t have to see him holding you in his hideous embrace. “Don’t wander away… I want to see you.” Jhin’s hand grabbed your neck, and while you started to fear the worst, the touch was instead light and only for you to move your head facing his. His other hand moved from your hips down, reaching the hem of your dress, pulling it upwards, and you decided that this would be your final chance to escape your inevitable doom. “Let go!” You pushed him as hard as you could, but for your demise, Jhin barely lost his balance. More than anything, your impulsive act of rebellion made the tone of his expression change, and as he grabbed your wrist, he pushed you to your bed. “I have elaborate plans for you, Y/N.” Jhin pressed your body under his. “And you will become my masterpiece.” It didn’t take much for him to undress you, and as his lips met yours again, you knew that there was no escape route for you. You don’t want this; he knows you don’t want this. Jhin showed no signs of stopping. “Now, sing for me.” You felt how something pushed in you, and you gasped for the air, feeling like something was burning in you. “Delightful!” Jhin moved his fingers, spreading you. “What a lovely song you are singing for me!” As Jhin removed his fingers, you felt like a pile of mush, unable to even scream or curse him. Instead, your voice was a mixture of moans, sobbing and words that never formed fully. “You will become beautiful.” Jhin whispers as he freed his cock and pressed it on your entrance. “This is my love.” You tried to say something, anything to make him stop, yet there was no way any words would come out of your mouth. As you trembled and sobbed, Jhin pressed into you, making your body shiver and your eyes even more tearful than before. Jhin’s hips moved so it felt like almost all of his length pulled all the way out, only to repeat the movement over and over again. You felt like the last parts of your mind left your body, and all that remained was a piece of shivering and moaning flesh. Before you had time to collect yourself at all, Jhin leaned forward, hovering his face close to yours before kissing you on the lips, only to continue down to your neck and to your chest. There was no need for him to hold you in place anymore, and you felt how his nails dragged deep in your skin, leaving marks on you, some probably so deep that they would be visible for a long time. As much as you wanted this to stop, Jhin took all of the time he ever could get and savoured every moment of your agony. Jhin gasped, spilling inside you, thrusting as deep as he could. As he found his release, he collapsed on top of you, making you unable to move anywhere. You trembled under him, and even if there would’ve been space, there was no way you could’ve moved after everything that had just happened. Jhin pulled out of you, looking at your body, still gasping for air on the bed. “Bloom, my beautiful piece of art. Bloom like the flower in the dawn.” After making sure he looked as perfect as when he had arrived, Jhin left you laying on the bed. You didn’t even recognize when it happened, but when you finally got up, there was no sign of him. The only thing that made you remember him was the mask next to your violin, and in your mind, it was the reminder that this wouldn’t be the last time you met him.

Conflicting Lives- Chapter 8: The ACTUAL Patrol, and a "Small" Conflict
Word Count: 3223
It was well into patrol, but Scythe and Joel could not get rid of the teasing comments of Voidling and iWork. It didn't help that they often did react very similarly (if not the same) to more than a few of them, only adding fuel to the fire. By now, neither Scythe nor Joel were saying anything to the other two in their patrol, and instead chatting with themselves.
They tried their best to ignore the two behind them, but when the four men heard a distant boom, the silence in the following moments spoke all that it needed to. With a simple nod amongst themselves, the four started rushing towards the area the sound came from, using iWork’s tech from Inventor to better help locate the origin point of it.
Without needing to say any words, Scythe ran over to Joel who easily picked him up and flew high into the air. iWork was close behind, helping Voidling in a similar way, the masked man instead holding onto a grapple-like rope that the winged man above him held onto.
The patrol made their way above and around buildings, the signs of what must have been an explosion become more apparent as they closed in on the source. The smaller and quieter explosion heard above the ever so faint laughter proved that, and she came into their view as they turned around the next building.
There she stood, in the middle of all of the chaos, living up to the name Wildfire as flames soared wildly in almost all directions. Her green skin illuminated with the orange of flames, Wildfire threw spears of flames towards smaller, lesser known heroes as they tried to land huts, to no avail. Luckily, she had her back turned to the patrol. Unluckily, a second villain was turned towards them, golden crown and crimson cloak glowing bright from the light of the flames.
As the cloaked villain leaned back to inform his partner of the incoming reinforcements, Scythe and Voidling dropped to the ground from the hold of Joel and iWork. As the four lined up and started to divide themselves into who would fight who, Wildfire’s voice rang through the air and over the sounds of the flames.
“Aren’t you glad I dragged you out here? Isn’t it just so fun to let it loose?”  Her voice was rimmed with mania, and when her partner in crime hadn’t responded, she continued. “Oh, is the great Red Winter too engrossed to respo--” she turned around, cutting herself off as her eyes seemed to sparkle with joy when she spotted the four heroes, “-- oh well just look at what we have here!
Four little heroes arriving just in the nick of time to save your friends!” She gestured to the scattered civilians, heroes, and police in the area as she spoke. “And here I thought that we wouldn't get the attention of the big guys, but I guess my little boom worked after all.”
Before she could continue, Voidling stepped forward, his armor helping to protect him from the small fires dotted around where the patrol landed. “That’s enough, Wildfire. You’ve done enough damage, and now it’s time for you and Red Winter to leave.”
As he spoke, he drew his mace, the rest of the patrol pulling out their weapons and taking up fighting positions. iWork had his hammer out, but made sure to keep to a more covered and earthy area in case anyone needed healing. Scythe had a ryyk in each hand and had taken up a position of a straightforward and charge-like approach. Joel, with his battle axe in both hands, took up a position in the sky using his wings.
The expression on Wildfire and Red Winter's faces seemed to flip, a smirk growing on the cloaked wolf hybrid, a frown setting in on the zombie hybrid. “What a shame. I was just starting to have fun too!” Wildfire said in an annoyed tone.
Red Winter’s smirk only grew as he spoke, “I guess it's time to have some real fun then.” He turned to Wildfire. “Why not let loose on people who can actually put up a good fight?”
Wildfire found a smile returning to her face as she gleefully responded, “Oh, now that sounds wonderful!”
Red Winter charged towards Voidling, using his transformation abilities to become more wolf-like. Just as he reaches to swipe in a now werewolf form, Voidling raises his mace, blocking the attack and being pushed back.
In that same moment, Joel dives to where Wildfire is, dodging her spears of fire as they are thrown. Voidling starts to lose his traction on the ground from Red Winter’s continued blows, and iWork runs over to help him before Scythe can even fully react. iWork reached Voidling just as he is knocked backwards from the strongest attack against him, and Scythe comes up with a quick plan.
Slowly, he starts making his way towards where Joel is fighting Wildfire. He uses the light of the fires to his advantage, bending them slightly to help better conceal himself while also using his illusions to better blend into the ground and the flames around him.
Finally, he made it to where Wildfire and Joel were. He almost chuckled to himself as he realized the two were litterally playing with fire, then tapped Wildfire's shoulder, causing her to turn around. Seeing Joel get ready to launch yet another fireball, Scythe simply waved at Wildfire before jumping to the side.
He had just barely missed the fireball as it came crashing down onto Wildfire. In the split second of quiet after the fireball landed, Scythe heard the clang of metal on armor as Voidling was pushed back as his mace hit his chestplate. Then as the flames fully clear, he decides to start up a conversation with Wildfire.
“Come on, you really chose to blow up a park instead of like, going to the gym or something?” He asked as he dodged one of her fire spears. She laughs as she responds, dodging a blow from Joel and reaching to attack Scythe, “Oh, don't be silly, you should know me by now!”
Scythe managed to dodge and grab Wildfire’s arm, but before he could do anything, she pulled him in, “I’m not one to shy from a bit of chaos.” A shiver ran down Scythe’s spine as she spoke, and he teleported away quickly as Joel dived towards her, axe in hand.
Wildfire turned around just in time to see Joel diving towards her, and she quickly jumped to the side, narrowly avoiding getting hit. “You know,” Joel started as he dodged another spear of fire, “a certain someone visited recently bearing good will from you--” he moved to help Scythe as he prepared to throw a small ball of light at Wildfire “-- and it would be such a shame if she found out you injured Lux.”
Scythe threw the ball of light, but missed Wildfire as she dodged it, replying as Joel ran at her. “Oh, I won’t hurt him, “ she gestured towards Scythe, “but I don't mind hurting you.” She finishes just as Joel gets to her, ducking under his swing and pushing her elbow into his stomach.
Joel stumbles back and Scythe teleports behind him to help him regain his balance as Wildfire continues. “And besides, she was technically the one that suggested causing some chaos--” she threw a few more spears of fire at the pair of heroes “-- I just so happened to take it a bit literally, that’s all!”
Scythe took cover behind a nearby piece of debris, while Joel took to the skies once more to avoid the barrage of fiery spears. Scythe noticed that his flight was a little unbalanced, and that worried him more than he would ever admit, but he had to focus on what he needed to do next.
Wildfire and Joel kept fighting, and her voice rang through the air once more. “Besides, this gives a good opportunity to check in with you!” She stumbled a little as a ring of light began to encompass her vision.
It was working. When he was satisfied with the intensity of the light ring, strong enough to disorient her but weak enough as to not permanently harm her vision, Scythe came out of his hiding spot, running back to where Wildfire was standing. Joel sighed as he landed back on the ground, walking to a now slightly-stunned as he put his axe on his shoulder, admittedly a little amused at the stumbling state of the zombie hybrid in front of him.
“Why can’t you just let off steam like a normal person?” Scythe askes, delivering a light but firm blow to Wildfire’s shoulder with the handle of one of his ryyks. He stops the ring of light he made around her vision as she stumbled over, trying to be courteous as to let her catch herself.
She chuckles a little as she starts to stand back up. “Eh, it was worth it if I had a chance to annoy you guys. And if not I wouldn't have minded if I ended up with some other heroes showing up instead, just so i can beat their asses too.” She looked up at Scythe and Joel with a smile on her face, and Scythe felt something off as she spoke once more. “Plus, what’s the fun of doing something normal?”
Then Scythe noticed it, the sound of a large fireball falling towards the three of them. He jumped to the side just in time to look over and see the large ball of flame crashing down to where he just was. The heat was far more intense than he thought it would be, and he worried for a moment what shape Joel and Wildfire would be in after the flames died down. He wasn't really quite sure he saw them both dodge out the way before it hit.
“You never did answer my question either” a voice said behind him ,and before he could properly react he felt something push on his back and was shoved forward, barely managing to catch himself before face planting into the course and burnt dirt.
Quickly recovering, he turned around and saw Wildfire giggling to herself. Joel landed between the two, his clothes almost burnt off and his hair littered with small embers and ash, though he himself seemed to be completely unharmed. He looked behind himself to check to see if Scythe was ok before turning back towards the smaller zombie hybrid.
“I’m doing great, thanks for asking,” Scythe said sarcastically, walking forward to stand beside Joel. Just then, Red Winter appeared once more by Wildfire’s side, Voidling and iWork both taking up positions on each side of their patrol partners.
Apparently, Voidling and iWork had managed to push Red Winter far enough back to make him retreat, and he re-joined his partner in crime. “Are you alright, m’lady?” the cloaked villain asked, and Wildfire simply nodded, a smile growing on her face once more.
Scythe sensed something was about to happen, and looked over to Voidling only to find the masked hero looking back at him with the same confused and apprehension-filled look. He then turned to look at iWork beside him, who seemed to be focused on the gap between the two villains. In the same moment that he seems to see something, Scythe turns back to look at Wildfire and Red Winter, only to find a third villain standing between them.
“Well, well, well. Look what we have here!” Scarlet Moon giggled, her red moth wings fluttering behind her, eyes matching in color and almost glowing with excitement. “It seems this time I've been called in for the rescue, and how could I deny the pleasure of seeing four of my favorite heroes?”
Voidling stopped forward, keeping his mace firmly in his hands and speaking with a steady voice. “It is time for you three to leave. You’ve done enough damage, and you don't need to be causing any more.” iWork braced himself in case another battle broke out, and Joel started to stretch his wings in preparation to fly.
Scythe simply looked at Scarlet Moon, or rather Pearl, and she looked back. They held each other's gaze for a moment longer, then she looked back at Voidling. “I suppose so.” She put a hand on each shoulder of the two in front of her, and bright light started to emit from the trio. “I do wish I could have stayed longer though. Until next time, heroes.” She said, and a blinding light flashed, the patrol closing their eyes out of instinct.
When Scythe re-opened his eyes, the three villains were gone, and the surrounding fires were starting to lose their strength in Wildfire’s absence. He looked around at his fellow patrol members. Joel was rubbing his eyes from the bright light, Voidling was looking around and surveying the damage, and iWork was turned to Scythe.
“Do you have any major injuries, Lux?” he said, reaching out towards his arm where he hadn’t quite realized he had a large scrape. “This doesn’t look horrible, but you should definitely get it cleaned before trying to heal it.” iWork continued, looking at the scrape closer through the dirt and dust stuck to it.
“Oh, uh, yeah I’ll do that.” Scythe responded, a little confused on how he didn’t see the wound before. The phantom hybrid looked at him with uncertainty. “I will, I promise! I’m just a little shocked that I didn't notice it, I guess.” he quickly added, and iWork looked a little more relaxed, though obviously not completely relieved.
He walked away from Scythe and to Joel, checking him over as well. Miraculously, he didn't have any damage to his person, but his uniform definitely needed to be replaced. Scythe could swear he heard iWork “lightly” scolding Joel. “You didn’t think to get your uniform in fire-proof materials? Come on, Stratos! Aren’t you a Blaze hybrid? You need a fire-proof uniform!”
Those were among the most tamed words of the scolding, but Joel did eventually manage to avoid the full-length of a scold by casually bringing up that Voidling might still be injured. iWork almost instantly stopped what he was saying, and begrudgingly walked away from Joel towards Voidling to make sure he wasn't badly hurt.
“Jeez, I almost couldn’t get rid of him.” Joel said as he walked towards Scythe, rubbing in the back of his head in slight embarrassment. Scythe chuckled and replied with a smile “I mean it is your fault for not getting fire-proof fabric, as someone with fire magic. That’s your own damn fault if you ask me”
“Oh, come on! You’re supposed to be on my side!” Joel pouted playfully, crossing his arm and looking away. Scythe laughed even harder, failing to apologize through all the giggling. Thankfully he was able to compose himself by the time Voidling walked over with iWork by his side.
“I want us to help where we can while we’re still in the area.” He said. Looking at Scythe and iWork, he continued” Lux, iWork, the two of you have Healing abilities, so I want you to check all of the citizens and bystanders to see if they need any help.” iWork opened his mouth to say something, but closed it again once Voidling put up his hand to stop him.
“Yes, I know I can heal too, but I want Stratos to come with me to clear the larger debris in the area to help clear up any major roads or paths that may be blocked.” He turned to Joel as he spoke, “Are you alright with helping clear, Stratos?”
Joel nodded, “Yeah sure. I can help lift and push stuff.” Voidling replied with an “Alright” before telling them all to split up and do what they need to do. Voidling and Joel went to the police and firemen that had arrived to check and see which areas needed to be cleared first, and iWork turned to Scythe.
“So here’s what I’m thinking. I have more disinfectant and cleaning things than you do for healing, I know that much, so I can start by cleaning any wounds, and you can then come in after and heal them with your ability.” He said. Scythe wondered how he thought of that so quickly, but he knew that iWork was a quick thinker, and the plan made sense anyways.
So he nodded, “That sounds good. What if it's a deep or large wound? Do we want to try and do anything different or extra?” He asked. He was genuinely curious, and didn’t quite know how much he could heal without running out of stamina, or risking his illusion fading, but he didn't really want to say that aloud and just hoped iWork understood.
He thought for a moment before responding. “If it's deep or large enough, I can do some initial healing after cleaning it. I understand your concerns, and if you think you’re getting too tired feel free to come and tell me or to step away for a moment.” He looked at the surrounding civilians before continuing. “There doesn’t seem to be many injuries, but still let me know if anything happens.”
Scythe nodded, appreciative of iWork’s concern. The phantom hybrid started walking towards the civilians, taking out his cleaning supplies and checking in with everyone. Scythe simply followed behind, stopping at anyone that iWork cleaned the wounds of, and made small talk while healing them, trying to be as kind as possible even when he did feel tired and ready to be home.
After about 45 minutes, everyone who needed assistance was helped, and enough debris was cleared to make the necessary roads and paths accessible to citizens. Voiding called iWork and Scythe over to where he and Joel were standing.
“Great work today guys. Go home, and rest. I’ll get a patrol with some of the other heroes to come and survey the area to make sure everything is still alright, but we all need some rest.” Scythe felt himself relax, and he took a deep breath as the masked hero continued. “You all did amazing today, both on the clean up, and in the fighting.”
The three younger men nodded, and iWork and Voidling walked in one direction, Joel and Scythe in the other. Joel didn’t even need to wait for Scythe to look at him before he knew what the enderman hybrid was going to ask.
“Yes, I'll take you back to your dorm. But you’re feeding me dinner and calling Cleo and Pearl to hang out too.” the winged man said, spreading his wings and holding his hands out for Scythe to hold onto.
Scythe laughed and grabbed his arms, still laughing as he replied, “Deal, and thank you, Stratos.” Joel rolled his eyes and flew into the air. “Yeah, yeah, whatever. Also, it is so weird for you to call me Stratos, even if we’ve been on countless missions together.”
Scythe laughed and looked at the cityscape in front of him. “It is weird calling you Stratos, but we were still around the public eye so I didn't really have a choice.” Joel muttered a “Fair enough,” and flew back towards Cursia.

The celebration continues back and Straus and Koto’s Space. Everyone begins to return to their correct Worlds as the last voidlings disappear. Some may not even remember that this happened in the long run. But for now, everyone can rejoice knowing that they just saved- well- everything. Koto’s parents watch as she gleefully prances around, fully enraptured by joy, and the Worlds she and Straus made orbit her in tandem.
Tumblr media
“She looks so happy…”, Lazuli observes. She and Kilgore beam at the sight.
Pandora looks down at Straus, who is currently lying down and wrapped up in a blanket, and gently pets his head.
Tumblr media
“We haven’t seen her smile like that in ages, your boy is something else.”, says Kilgore.
Tumblr media
“Oh, undoubtedly! He’s my son, after all!”, Zeus answers proudly.
Red scooches over and gets herself in the blanket with Straus. The Lightverse Incarnates meet up and join them all. DarkClaw and Ex sit down to participate in the conversation while Uriel jumps over to Koto and joins in their merriment. Castor, however, remembers something, “I should head home. Delta is probably worried.” DarkClaw nods and smiles, “Go for it, kiddo.” He watches as Castor walks over to Uriel and Koto, who stop their romp for a moment to let him go home.
It’s nighttime in the city, and Delta is in bed holding his walkie-talkie. It hadn’t gotten any clear messages in a while, but he still held onto it just in case his heroic buddies needed his help. Just as he’s about to drift off, a signal comes through, and the tiny device sparks awake.
BZZZzzzttt— “Hello? Delta?”
Delta immediately sits up with excitement, “Castor?! Castor is that you?”
“Yeah, it’s me. Good thing this thing still works.”
“Where are you? I’m at home with Mom!”
“Finally home too. The problem has been resolved. Sure, there might be some things that still need to be done, but I’m home.”
“Yay!!”
Delta hears his mother’s voice through the door, “Felix? Are you asleep, or are you talking to that ‘mister hero’ friend of yours again?”
“N-No Mom!”, he quiets down a notch, “Eheh- I’ll see you tomorrow, ok?”
Castor tries to make sure a slight laugh doesn’t go through, “Alright. G’night.”
“Good night!”
Castor clicks his radio off and lays back in his bed. It really is over now; and he played a part in it! Even though he didn’t have the best start, he feels pretty sure he’s a hero now. Or at the very least, someone who can keep up with his allies. He thinks about everyone who has helped him. No matter what they all face together in the future, there’s no way it could compare to this. If this is the worst that this world can offer, everything else will be a cakewalk. He sleeps peacefully that night knowing this.
At the same time, the Wanderers also return home. Night has also fallen here, so Luna can join Nova and Azura as they make their way back to the house. They open the door, quietly sneak in, and all slump down as it closes behind them. Victor comes running down the stairs and looks into the living room, “There you are!!”, he cheers, “They’re back, guys!” Phoenix comes down next and helps them get up and move to the couch, “Good to see you all made it back in one piece. Had us all worried there.” Next is Arin, “Ah-ha! We almost got our butts handed to us, where were you guys that whole time?” Azura grumbles in response. “Only helping to fight the big bad, thank you very much!”, Nova retorts. “Mm-hm!”, adds Luna with a confident nod. Amber comes down and starts healing their wounds, “I’m just glad you’re all safe! Thank goodness!” Seeing that she’s ok, Azura hugs her tight and quickly wipes away some rogue tears. Finally, grouchy Zack sees the madness and simply smiles. Azura, Nova, and Luna joyfully hug each other.
Nathaniel and Kali return to their castle and make haste towards their beds. Upon seeing hers, Kali tumbles into it and sleepily stretches, “I don’t wanna fight anymore…or at least until the next loop.” “I agree.”, says Nathaniel, “I’ve had my fill for now.” Kali snores as she instantly passes out. Nathaniel, amused but not surprised at all, tucks her in; and then comfortably retires to his bed.
Melanie and Amadi lay on a patch of grass in an open field for a change. People are either asleep or still hiding in their homes, so they figure they can treat themselves to a view of the stars tonight. “It feels good to save people, don’t you think so Brother?”, asks Melanie. “Mm-hm.”, Amadi nods, “It’s pleasant.”
As everybody settles in, Koto is the only one left awake. She flicks through different views of the Worlds to ensure everyone is secure before heading off to sleep herself. When she’s done, she’s just about to lay down before her eyes are drawn to Straus…and she gets an idea.
Illumi notices and tries to stop her from staying up later, “(Alright, Mistress. It’s time for you to rest as well-)”
“(Nope- idea.)”
“(Oh stars, please tell me this won’t take long.)”
“(It’ll only take a few minutes!)” Koto readies her creation magic and begins to sketch something, “(Just gotta make a quick blueprint so I remember…)”, She makes a rough drawing of a girl walking through snow. She wears clothes appropriate for the weather and has short, curly, burgundy-colored hair.
“(Who is this, Mistress?)”, Illumi wonders.
“(Oh…just a thought. I’ll talk it over with Straus in the morning. ‘Night, Illumi!)”, and just like that, Koto yawns and goes to sleep.
“(Erm- good night, Mistress… sleep well!)”

Okay, the old post for humany-ossy au stuff was getting long and cluttered so, we now have the humany-ossys tag on my blog and shit will go into their own posts or smaller threads as I think of them.
Traveling is so fucking common amongst these fuckers. Just, a very strong cultural push for young people to go out and see the world is one of the common points in every Ossy culture on Earth. Not for ‘go and experience life while you can’ reasons- though there’s always a bit of that, every decent parent wants their kids to have and experience more than them- but more to spread the blood around.
As mentioned before, populations tend to be small and in a small community there’s only so many generations that can stay in one spot before we start getting into closer incest than these guys are here for. Genetically you wanna be at least fourth cousins without extra shared ancestors and when there’s only a very limited number of options in your area in the first place, the odds of finding one of those starts dropping.
This is actually becoming less of an issue now that IVF is a thing, but that’s still not a perfect solution yet due to problems like having to set up systems specifically for Ossys, or to make sure Ossys can find each other’s shit, along with concerns about costs.
As a result of the traveling thing, Ossy children are also more strongly encouraged to learn new languages and how to do practical things like read maps. Also as a result it’s not uncommon for parents to try to save money to fund their children traveling, rather than expecting to pay for weddings or schooling.
As a result of that, Ossy weddings tend to err towards the smaller and cheaper side. It’s less likely you’re going to be able to get financial aid from family, and it’s pretty much always been that way, so paying for weddings is all on the people involved and most of the drive for larger, more ornate and expensive weddings comes from influence from the larger human communities.
Opinions on polygamy tend to differ from region to region, but lean towards positive as long as everybody involved is unrelated.
~
Different cultures tend towards different explanations of the species backstory, though all include the true portion that is “we look similar to humans because we are related to them, we are also the children of the Unknowable Void”. Most tend towards focusing on one side more than the other though. Individuals from cultures that focus on the ‘humans are kin’ side are more likely to live in or near human settlements, while those from cultures that lean more towards the ‘we’re voidlings’ side are more likely to live in Ossy-focused communities but also are more likely to marry and interbreed with other species, though both sides will.
Cultural and racial intermixing, meanwhile, has never been anything Ossys have really worried about. Again, at a certain population size and growth rate no differences can make it fucking matter within the species. As far as Ossys are concerned a ‘mixed marriage’ is between an Ossy and a non-Ossy, racial or cultural differences be damned.
“Can we trust they’ll keep The Secret? Then it’s all good.”
~
Every Ossy is capable of learning and using magic, but whether they will varies depending on natural proclivity and how common magic use is in their family. As mentioned before Ossys are encouraged to focus primarily on one aspect of their powers- though they’re taught the basics of all of them- as part of the maintaining of the masquerade, and what they focus on is generally chosen by natural proclivity. Not always, some cultures have rituals and traditions tied to determining what someone will go for, but in the modern day it’s generally what a child seems most attuned to.
(For instance, while Kevin doesn’t use it much if ever after OS for reasons that are obvious pre-Rooters arc (I think for these fuckers I’m gonna continue my ongoing headcanon which is that the ‘electricity fucks with his head’ thing is a case of ‘this is what happens when you deal with a lot of power when you’re young and aren’t getting the right diet’) he’s very clearly incredibly skilled with it, and so probably would’ve been encouraged to focus it**)
~
Schooling varies, depending on the area and culture, but mostly area. Preferably children would go to an Ossy-only school until somewhere between 10 and 13, when parents can be certain they’ll be mature enough to understand and keep the big secrets, but in many areas this isn’t an option. In areas where there aren’t Ossy-only schools, then homeschooling is preferred up to those ages, often involving retired or similarly jobless relatives in areas and households where multiple sources of income are required.
It’s not uncommon for Ossy-only schools to be combined, with kids of all ages learning in the same building and sometimes with the children of multiple communities going to the same school. Mostly because of the whole numbers game- you can’t justify spreading the kids out between different buildings when there’s so few kids in the first place. If you and the neighboring community both have ten children in total, it makes more sense to teach them together than keep them separate as long as the distance between the two isn’t too great.
Plus, it’s easier to guard one school than two and Ossy-only schools are more well secured than some banks. If these fuckers could safely put their classrooms under the hoards of dragons? They would do so in a heartbeat. As it is, security systems are intense and it’s not unknown for communities far enough from humans to keep cryptid and mythical animals to serve as guards for the children.
(listen the image of a school keeping cactus cats as an alternative to guard dogs is too damn good...)
~
**This is a hypothetical, of course, because I still don’t know how I want to do his backstory in this AU. If he grew up in an Ossy household he would’ve been encouraged to focus on electricity and possibly other forms of energy, if not this obviously doesn’t apply.
