Jami had a performance today with the @driscolldancers and I think all the dancers with him are homeschooled. Katie was supposed to go put she's still fighting this multi-day migraine like I am. Jami says it went well. Back row on the right is Annie. She has multiple hats; teacher at the studio, open champion dancer, and amazing violinist/fiddle player for Jump 2-3 Band, etc. She also owns @rincecouture. . Annie was one of the first to draw Katie out of her shell at a public performance a bit over 8 yrs ago. She has always had this way of working with dancers, new or advanced. Then switching hats she's playing with Wm for a gig with Jump 2-3 tonight for the Gaelic Athletic Association Awards Banquet at the Irish Center. . Jami is down front kneeling. Ppl just don't get Irish isn't restricted to one day a year. Happy Holidays from the @driscolldancers at the Christmas Céilí at the Irish Center tonight. My kids are not in this picture, they stayed home with me. Katie and her BF Reagan were elves and Christmas shopped for Wm since he was gone. Wm said a good time was had by all and the dancers had an exceptionally wonderful time and actually overran their allotted time. But they were having so much fun. I could see it on the faces of the pictures I saw being posted from the event . His band had a magical experience when the flute player's daughter, also a dancer, came up with her violin and spontaneously started Carol of the Bells. She was really shy and the band kept playing until she warmed up to being on stage. So, the 12 yr old played the first part of Carol of the Bells on her own, then her teacher, our other violinist, joined in. Then her Dad, the flutist, joined, next the drummer came in and then Wm joined. He said he had never played the chords for the tune before. They all played another verse together and stopped. Wm said they all had goosebumps and it was completely magical and was all Christmas Spirit combined right there on that stage for the 5 musicians. It was something completely created and driven by the music that none of the band members had any control over. I wish I could have heard it. I am so proud we are associated with the @driscolldancers. So many great things have been happening at the studio this fall. We moved locations. More dancers than ever qualified for Oireachtas. So many GOALS have been met, girls moving up levels at Feisianna left and right! I am also proud to call Bridgid Driscoll my friend.
