Happy Holidays from the @driscolldancers at the Christmas Céilí at the Irish Center tonight. My kids are not in this picture, they stayed home with me. Katie and her BF Reagan were elves and Christmas shopped for Wm since he was gone. Wm said a good time was had by all and the dancers had an exceptionally wonderful time and actually overran their allotted time. But they were having so much fun. I could see it on the faces of the pictures I saw being posted from the event . His band had a magical experience when the flute player's daughter, also a dancer, came up with her violin and spontaneously started Carol of the Bells. She was really shy and the band kept playing until she warmed up to being on stage. So, the 12 yr old played the first part of Carol of the Bells on her own, then her teacher, our other violinist, joined in. Then her Dad, the flutist, joined, next the drummer came in and then Wm joined. He said he had never played the chords for the tune before. They all played another verse together and stopped. Wm said they all had goosebumps and it was completely magical and was all Christmas Spirit combined right there on that stage for the 5 musicians. It was something completely created and driven by the music that none of the band members had any control over. I wish I could have heard it.
