rei is just lost. she just never knows what's going on. always in her own world, the others can be talking about comeback promotions and she wasn't even aware a comeback was in place. it's kind of sad but it's also really funny 💀 ironically funny but never funny when she tries 💀 her jokes just tend to fly over everyone's head 😭 although she's a bit clueless she's a very talented vocalist, i see rei with a very soothing voice who does well with adlibs and backing vocals 😋

ELFIE MY BAE HRU elfie is a rapper and i will not hear anything else. a versatile rapper too like aisha, eu, yeonjun or hongjoong. her raps always go viral and are edit audios for months on end 😭 could definitely be a singer too i see elfie as an idol who adapts easily and learns quickly even if she hasn't been trained in said area. probably the one filling in for other members if they can't perform and such

MARI 🧌 VOCALS ARE HEAVEN ON EARTH has such a sweet voice like daniel or hanni, it's smooth and relaxing you could fall asleep listening to her sing. probably gets lines in the bridge or a build up, definitely the bass of all backing vocals and adlibs her voice is so easy to layer on and makes everything sound 100193830x better

It’s been just a little over a year since “Liberty Biberty” became a part of our cultural vernacular, but that’s when Tanner Novlan garnered national attention as the tongue-tied, clueless, narcissistic actor in Liberty Mutual’s line of popular commercials. “I had seen the series they were doing of Liberty Mutual commercials in front of the Statue of Liberty,” Novlan relays. “And yes, people do come up to me all the time and say, ‘Liberty Biberty.’ It’s so fun that everyone can relate to that obnoxious actor. He was so much fun to play. When you get BOLD AND BEAUTIFUL, you’re like, ‘Wow, this is a career-changer,’ but for a funny little commercial like that, you never think [like that].”

Novlan auditioned for B&B in March and landed the part but couldn’t start, or even talk about it, until the soap began production over four months later due to the coronavirus pandemic. “I don’t know their old way of filming, so this is my new normal,” the actor relays. “Being the first production in North America to be back, it was amazing. It’s like, ‘This really is the new normal.’ It’s been such a unique process but it’s been amazing how all the producers have come together to figure this out and put forth these groundbreaking guidelines, making things safe and efficient and being able to work around all of this and keep everything alive. They’ve come up with some really creative ways of making shots work, but also feeling natural. Yes, we have to socially distance. We always are wearing our masks so we’re very cautious in that manner, but when you get into the scene and you’re reading opposite Jacqui [MacInnes Wood, Steffy], even if she is off camera, the connection is there, and I think it comes through.”

Novlan is thankful that he had some inside knowledge of how things worked at B&B, since he’s the real-life husband of B&B alum Kayla Ewell (ex-Caitlin). “It’s so perfect to have someone who has already been a part of the family to walk me through this,” he says. “She’s great for advice, and not just on work stuff. She gives me advice all the time on life. Listen to your wife. It’s always a good idea [laughs]. But with this team, I feel like I can ask any questions, and everyone was welcoming and straightforward.” Novlan and Ewell’s real-life love story sounds like it could be part of a soap, too. “It was technically kind of a setup because we both starred in this music video for an Australian band [circa 2009],” he relays. “The band is called Sick Puppies. It was one of their first hit North American releases. The name of the song was called ‘Maybe’ [which can currently be viewed on YouTube]. So, that’s how we met, on this music video at 3:30 in the morn- ing in the high desert [of California], which is where I met the woman of my dreams. We were very professional on set, but there was definitely something special about her — and I held her sunglasses for ransom. We were shooting outdoors and locations were changing and the makeup lady accidentally took our sunglasses home with her. The next day she called and said, ‘I have your sunglasses.’ I went and picked them up. I saw hers sitting there and thought, ‘I’ll give these to Kayla,’ so I snagged them and I said to her, ‘Lunch and your sunglasses?’ Luckily she took the lunch, probably just to get her sunglasses back.”

The rest was history, and the duo has worked to navigate the demands of their chosen profession. “The job sometimes involves distance and being away from one another, and there is also the time away that certain projects can require,” he points out. “It can be difficult sometimes but the trick is, we try very hard to make sure our schedules coordinate so we can be with each other. We have a two- to three-week rule where if one of us is away working for that long, you have to fly out and see the other. It’s almost like a must. And with our new baby, Poppy, we’ll definitely make sure that’s the case. But that’s the beauty of a having a great job like B&B. Luckily, I’m here. I’m local in L.A.” Novlan’s mom, a B&B super-fan, couldn’t be more thrilled about her son’s new gig. “My hometown has 500 people in it,” he explains. “I come from a very small farming community so even just coming home was a shock to her, but she’s cool. Kayla is so down-to-earth that none of that mattered. But believe me, my mother is chomping at the bit to come and visit the set of B&B as soon as COVID [passes]. That may be the real challenge, like, ‘Mom, you can’t wander onto the set. You’ve got to stay over here.’ That’s going to be a great day when it happens.”

Novlan credits his mother’s influence for getting him from Saskatchewan to Hollywood. “My mother was originally from Sacramento so I always thought it would be great to come and work in the U.S.,” he explains. “I started doing some print work in Canada so that’s how I originally came down, but I fell in love with acting as my immigration papers were being processed. I went to acting class here but I never could I have imagined having a career in film. But when I came down here and got a taste of it I was, like, ‘Wow. I’m hooked. This is it.’ ” But he admits he had no idea what he was in for. “My first job was a commercial for T.J. Maxx, back to school,” he recalls. “It was the first audition that I had ever been on and I got it and I thought, ‘Well, this is easy!’ I quickly learned there’s a lot of training that goes into it. So, I came here quite green but over the years, I’ve been able to call it a career.”

Over the next decade-plus, Novlan landed high-profile roles in MODERN FAMILY, ROSWELL, NEW MEXICO, the TV rom-com MY BEST FRIEND’S CHRISTMAS and the upcoming PUCKHEADS. 

He’s up for a ROSWELL comeback, schedule permitting. “There could be a chance that we might see Gregory again,” he notes of playing the caring brother of series regular Tyler Blackburn (Alex; ex-Ian, DAYS et al). “I know ROSWELL has been picked up for a season 3, and the character has been pretty well-received from the fans, as well, which is always amazing and such an honor. You never know. It was a great experience, but right now, everything is about B&B. Even with COVID, we’re finding a really nice groove with maintaining safety while keeping that classic B&B look. It’s been pretty smooth, I’ve got to say. How lucky am I?”

“Sinn” City

B&B fans have dubbed Steffy and Finn “Sinn”, which is just fine by Jacqueline MacInnes Wood (Steffy). “I told him this character is his own,” she says. “He’s not a recast, so I told him, ‘Make it your own and have fun with it. Even though we are eight feet away from each other in scenes, feel free to play with me. Let’s connect as much as we can in these scenes.’ He’s been great. He’s been absolutely wonderful on set and taking direction very well — and he’s a fellow Canadian so, of course, we hit it off immediately. He’s a really sweet guy and he can keep up with our pace. I think the fans will really like him.”

Monday.

Ugh, Monday.

You loved your job, you really did, and normally you were in a good mood. But occasionally, you had those days where all you wanted to do was lie down on your comfy couch and watch some rom-coms while scarfing down snacks.

Today is one of those days.

Anyway, it could’ve been worse. One of the perks of working in a bar is attending some awesome concerts for free, and today a really awesome rock band would be there. You were really excited to hear them again. They’ve been at the bar a couple of times, and they’re great; the clients love them, and you even became friends with them.

You loved the bar where you worked, even though sometimes you hated the drunk men and their stupid slurs. But it’s a chill, cozy and warm place, the real good old-fashioned and intimate environment. And you absolutely love your coworkers, well, your friends. Kayla, Jonathan and Joanne are the best, and literally the best friends ever.

You just got to the bar, ready for your shift. Jo, Kay and Jon arrived seconds later.  Kay knows you as the palm of her hand, so once she laid her eyes on you, she knew you were on one of those days. The other two quickly caught up on it, exchanging knowing looks before attacking you with a group hug, instantly making you smile and feel better.

“Girl, c’mon, cheer up!” Kay grins, punching you playfully on the shoulder. “Soon that hot drummer from the band will be here making heart eyes at you.”

She winks at you overdramatically and you roll your eyes at her. “Nicholas does not make heart eyes at me, stop it.” You reply, but you’re unable to stop your dimple-showing smile from forming on your lips. “We’re friends. That’s it.”

“Yeah, sure. I’ll pretend I buy it.” She chuckles, but then her face grows more serious, and she opened and closed her mouth right away, as if she was unsure of what she wanted to say. “It’s just… You should really let someone in. You deserve to love and to be loved, (Y/N).”

“I know, Kay… I know.”

You had been working for a couple of hours when Nicholas approached you. There weren’t many clients there yet, so you had some spare time, and you always had interesting and fun conversations with him.

Turns out that Kay was partially right, not that you’d ever tell her so or you’d have to listen to her ramble about it forever. There was no need to tell her though because she definitely noticed that Nicholas had come to catch up with you before he had to do some sound check with the band.

He was definitely sweet, and so talented. You loved watching him play the drums. And well, he’s pretty easy on the eyes too. But you just don’t… feel that click, that instant spark.

Well, yet. Maybe you will.

The concert had barely started when a group of very well-built and attractive, yet low-key and casual looking guys entered the bar. Immediately one of them caught your eye, you weren’t exactly sure why. He was tall, so damn tall. He wore a blue button-up that he had paired with some black skinny jeans and a black beanie covering his head. The sleeves were rolled up, exposing what appeared to be tattoos covering both arms, but you were too far away to tell.

He looked tough. His whole demeanor and physique practically demanded respect and authority. And yet, he had this sweet, protective, and caring vibe emanating off him.

Somehow, he must have sensed that you were staring because his gaze wandered around the bar stopping once it found yours. You quickly averted your gaze, silently cursing yourself.

What’s wrong with you? He’s just another guy in the bar.

You kept on serving drinks for the next couple of hours, and the group still sat there, chatting, drinking and enjoying the music. Your gaze traveled to their table for hundredth time, and you found yourself wondering what was it that seem to draw you to the stranger man.

Once again, you found yourself struggling to stop wondering about the man, and more importantly, to stop staring at him like a total psycho. You glanced again slightly, and bam! Locked gazes again. Once again, you quickly moved yours. What the hell.

“Hmm… Finally something, or should I say, someone caught your eye.” Kay acknowledges, smiling as she bumps her hip against yours. You can’t give her anything else but a shrug.

“Jeez Kay, I don’t even know the guy.” You shrug it off, adjusting some glasses that stood on the counter.

Suddenly, Kay clears her throat. “You will soon.” She mumbles under her breath, a smirk crossing her face.

Before you had any time to figure out what she meant and collect your thoughts, there he stood, right across the counter, staring at you. He sat down on the stool, his lips shaped in a small smile.

He starts tapping his fingers on the counter, and you wonder if it’s some sort of nervous tick. “How you doin’?” He asks, trying to break the ice, with a grin on his face.

Your mind wandered back to one of your favorite TV shows and, of course, Joey Tribbiani and his well-known catch phrase.

You shake your head lightly, trying to gather your thoughts. “Busy, thank you.” You mumble, quickly.

You can see his frown through the corner of your eye, before he speaks up again. “I can see that. I meant, how are you?”

“Look, I get it. I’m used to this and I’m not interested.” You sigh in defeat. He’s obviously drunk, as are 99% of the guys who hit on you.

As you finally faced him completely, you realized how confused he looked. Now you’re worried that you might have overreacted.

“Used to this? This what?” He asks, a frown on his face, giving you the confirmation that he was indeed confused.

You took a deep breath, silently cursing yourself. “Never mind. I’m sorry.”

Just as he was about to speak again, you walk away, letting Kay know that you need to go to the bathroom and motioning her to serve the tall-tattooed guy. And she did.

“What can I get you?” Kay asks the guy.

“Is she... uh, is your coworker okay?” He questions, looking slightly ashamed. Kay furrows her brows, urging him to explain himself. “I don’t know what happened but I think I might’ve bothered her with something I said.”

Kay is at a loss of words, she’s intrigued. She has a lot of questions, but she can’t exactly ask the costumer if he’s drunk or if he hit on her friend.

“What exactly did you do?” She finally says.

“I just asked her how she was doing. I was just trying to be nice, and do small talk... and she started this odd talk about how she was used to this and not interested. I didn’t really... understand.” He explains calmly, but clearly confused.

“Oh.”

“Oh?” The guy asks, but quickly saw in Kay’s face that she was scared to actually tell what was on her mind. “You can tell me, it’s okay. I promise.”

“Look... in our line of work, we are used to... you know, drunk guys making moves on us.” She confides.

He scratches his head through his beanie, chuckling lightly. “Uh, I’m not drunk. I had a couple of beers and that’s it. And I just thought she seemed nice. I wasn’t trying to get her to bed or anything.”

Kay is definitely surprised with this guy. Positively surprised. Which might as well be a first since she ever started working here.

There’s an awkward silence between the two for a few seconds. He seems to be lost in thought, staring into the counter intently, so Kay decides not to bother him. But suddenly, he sighs for a brief instant, before standing up, catching Kay’s attention again.

“When your friend gets here, tell her I’m sorry. I’ll let you work now.”

Mixed Match Magic

A/N: Yes, The Lunatic Fringe is back and to celebrate why don’t we have a fanfic for the day. You’re Welcome Ambrose Lovers. Also, I know I’m late shut up n,n. And I kinda sorta rushed this so sorry! I’ll edit it later! Critique needed!

You were preparing for a backstage segment. You only knew your lines. Creative didn’t even bother to tell you who’s working with you in the segment. Kayla, the backstage interviewer, walked up with a smile on her face, ready to interview me. The cameraman gave a countdown. You fixed your hair and began the interview with Kayla.

“(Y/R/N), how does it feel to know that your Mixed Match Partner, The Miz is not going to be able to compete with you due to injury?”

“You know, Kayla, it’s actually reassuring that he won’t be my partner because if we were to actually go on and be partners, with the stuck up attitude he has, I would’ve suplexed him through the damn announcement table, so thank god I’m not his partner. Now I just need to find a partner...”

As if on cue, Kurt Angle showed up and asked you to come to his office. Curiosity and fear ran up your spine like a mouse running up the clock. You didn’t know what to do or say or even think! There mere thought of getting suspended or fired made my blood run cold. But, you hadn’t done anything so why worry about something as extreme as that? Anyways, you walked up to a metal door that had silver letters on it that spelled out ‘General Manager’. You knocked on the door and heard a gruff voice say ‘Come in’. You slowly opened the door, physically preparing yourself for what’s to come.

Surprisingly, nothing was wrong. Nothing out of the ordinary.

“Hey (Y/R/N), good to see you!”

“Yeah, you too Kurt! I was actually nervous about this little meet!”

“No need to be nervous! I’ve actually got some good news for you!”

Curiosity was at it’s peak with you as you kept the conversation going.

“Oh? What is it?”

“Well, since Miz is out of the Mixed Match Challenge due to a neck injury, I was thinking you deserved to be in the Mixed Match Challenge with someone, even if you first partner was injured...”

Excitement bubbled up inside you. You continued to let him talk.

“So, I paired you with someone I think you’ll love.”

As if on cue again, someone knocked on Kurt’s door. You walked to the door and opened it. Your eyes widened as you stared at the person at the door. The person smirked at you and walked past you to Kurt. You turned around and stared at Kurt. You put two-and-two together and screamed. You took your time to look the person up and down. The person was a man, with a buzzcut, broad shoulders, dark grey jeans and a sleeveless top that read ‘Return To Society’ with a D and an A in it. I knew who this man was, but I didn’t think 9 months of rehab and rest could change a person so much. You tuned your head to listen to Kurt as he spoke.

“This man right here, is the new and improved, Dean Ambrose and he will be your new Mixed Match Challenge partner for this season.”

Before you could hear anymore, you bear hugged Dean, being careful of his arm. He hugged back with just as much love, it’d been so long since you’ve seen each other. You’d missed him so much and vice versa. You never even had a chance to tell him your feelings. You’d hoped that he’d share the same emotions.

It was time for MMC to start and you were nervous. Number 1: Because you were paired with someone who just came back from injury and you didn’t want them to get injured again. Number 2: Because this is your first time ever in MMC and Number 3: You were just plain up and down nervous. You saw Dean come out of the Men’s locker room and to the curtain. You followed him and stood by the curtain as well. You theme played as you walked threw the curtain and down the ramp. You entrance consisted of flips and tricks, making the audience turn their head towards you. You hugged a little boy who was smiling like a nerd. You laughed at the thought of that.

You entered the ring and asked for a mic. Once handed a mic, you began to speak, words laced with such sarcasm as you spoke:

“Oh where, oh where, oh where could my partner be? He didn’t come though the curtain and down the ramp so where could he be?”

The crowd was silent as you spoke, catching their attention even more.

���Let’s cut to the chase, the most obnoxious, self-absorbed, cowardly jerk isn’t coming out tonight! Yay!”

The crowd erupted with every insult you said about The Miz. Cheers, Jeers and Boos were as loud as your microphone. A smirk appeared on your lips as you continued after it’d quieted down:

“I may not have the Miz, which I’m actually really happy about. But Bayley, you may have the Demon King in your corner...”

Loud screams could be heard from the nosebleeds as you paused.

“But I have a Lunatic in mine!”

Bayley and Balor couldn’t believe what they were hearing. Staring at the tron as you doubled over in laughter. A motorcycle rev was heard around the ring as the Lunatic’s theme played. The crowd screamed out of sheer joy and happiness.

The match was long, fun and most importantly, unforgettable. Dean was clutching his arm as Balor kept attacking it. You winced every time it was damaged. Dean soon made a comeback as he built his momentum. He kicked Balor and they both fell, wanting to tag in their partners.

Dean tagged you in and you ran threw the ropes, giving Bayley clothesline after clothesline, a swinging neck-breaker and a pin to finish it off. Bayley kicked out at two. You picked her up but she kept giving blows to the stomach. You took a step back and she threw you into the turn buckle. She ran into you, throwing her elbow into your jaw. She rolled back and did her signature “Whoooooa” and ran back, but you slipped out in time and she hit her chin on the top turnbuckle. You slipped your arm between her legs and pulled her into a pin. Again, she kicked out at 2 and a half. Sweat was running down your face, Bayley wasn’t giving up without a fight! You got up first, dragged her by the hair and kicked her in the stomach. You ran into the ropes and wrapped your legs around her neck and held her arm behind her back. The Octopus Hold, a submission move you were known for having. Bayley was fighting, struggling to move her arm and counter, but you were too strong. Just before Bayley was about to tap out, Finn pulled you leg, causing you to fall on your face. Dean came out of nowhere and threw Finn out of the ring, with him following. You ran to the ropes to see if he was okay, but Bayley caught you and did a roll-up pin. Luckily, you kicked out at two and somehow you kicked her in the stomach again. You locked The Octopus Hold back in and this time, Bayley tapped out. 

The bell rung and you let her go. She rolled out of the ring and crawled to Finn. Dean ran back in and hugged you so tight, you could barely breathe. You hugged back with just as much force. Tears were in your eyes. Dean was handed a mic as you wiped your eyes. He talked with such fire and spite that you couldn’t even believe it yourself:

“Alright look here, I came back and I dominated! I don’t give a damn who cares if I’m back! I was paired with this strong, smart and beautiful woman! And you other teams better be ready to get your asses kicked because I’m back baby!”

WWE SmackDown Live - 19/03/19: Highlights & Review

The Miz kicks-off SmackDown Live The Miz comes out and cued a video package that showed us the footage of previous week of Fastlane and SmackDown Live when Shane turned on Miz and made the match against him for WrestleMania. Back live, Miz said he has sacrificed every relationship over the years for his road to WrestleMania. He teamed up with Shane only to make his Dad proud. People warned Miz to watch yourself, but he didn't listen to them. He said to Shane, "You were not born the Best in the World, you are a McMahon you were born the worst."  He said you don’t own me or Kofi. The crowd cheered. He said that he wasn’t born rich he worked hard to achieve his success. Over the course of 13 years he have earned every bit of respect that he have now. The crowd chants "You deserve it". Miz replied You are damn right I do, and Shane deserves the ass whopping that he will give him at WrestleMania.

A great promo by Miz. He was very passionate about it. Well acted and very well delivered from. He also had this awesome line which could easily be a stolen inspirational quote but I loved it: Hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard enough. Rating: 4/5 WWE Women's Tag Team Champions Banks & Bayley vs IIconics IIconics cut a promo while they made their entrance. They said that the Banks and Bayley tried to stay at home turf, even going back to NXT. Then they got chaffed off by Nia and Tamina on Raw. According to them, they have saved the best for the last as they finally decide to come to SmackDown Live and the last will be Iconic. The crowd chanted for Bayley. Bayley is dominating the match against Billie Kay. Lacey Evans made her appearance just to walk back. I totally forgot that she didn't do it on Raw. The distraction allowed IIconics to take the upper edge and beat down Bayley. IIconics work over  Bayley. This led to the hot tag to Sasha. Sasha led the comeback against Peyton. She tried to rally the crowd but only a mild cheer. She hit her double knees from the top rope. Billie Kay held Banks' leg back. Bayley came out to save but ate a kick by Billie. As Peyton went for the pin Billie holds Sasha's hand for the win Winner: IIconics It was a fine match. IIconics got the win to put them over as the fourth contender for the possible four corner tag team match at Mania. But the thing is that I am not invested in it. Rating: 3/5 Rey Mysterio has an interview backstage. He introduced us to his son who is grown to be way taller than him. He said that he will face Samoa Joe for the US title at WrestleMania. His son got some mic time saying that Joe is a bully and his dad will beat him down to win the US title at mania as he will be sitting in the front row. The Kevin Owens show with Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair Kevin Owens wore a red tie and a suit for the return of the Kevin Owens show on SmackDown Live. He welcomed us to the new and improved KO show.  He started with some humor. And as every face should, he mentioned that he is rooting for Kofi in the main event. He proceeds to welcome “The Man” Becky Lynch out to the ring. The crowd cheered and then booed for the next guest who was Charlotte. Both the women sat down across the table. The crowd chanted Becky. Kevin said that he knows how best friends can get under your skin. Owens read some of the statements made by Ronda to Becky from the KO cue cards. Then he tried to set fire between his two guests by saying the statements made by them to each other. Owens told them that no one wants to see them talk anymore. Everyone wants to see them fight. Charlotte said that she will beat the holy hell out of Becky. Before Becky could reply Owens just went out of the ring instead of just disappearing. Becky attacked Charlotte and an all-out brawl starts between the two. They traded punches and kicks on one another. Charlotte even slapped one of the security guards who ran down there to separate the two.

Kevin Owens was great in the segment. He was really funny and come out as a great face. The brawl between the two women will really help rebuild some of the lost hype of this feud. Great segment overall. Rating: 4/5 Kayla is backstage with AJ Styles. He said that Orton may have an advantage over him. It is his home ground after all. But at WrestleMania, he is not going to build he is going to tear the house down. And as every face should. He mentions he is rooting for Kofi in the main event. Daniel Bryan Promo Before the gauntlet match starts Daniel Bryan cuts a promo. He said that Kofi being in the gauntlet match is an injustice to him. He reminded everyone that Kofi has never earned a shot for his title. Kofi was handpicked out of the tag team division and given a title shot at Elimination Chamber from nowhere. He did fight valiantly in the previous gauntlet match and at Elimination Chamber but he lost. So he has not earned anything. It doesn’t matter how much they chant Kofi (which they weren't but started chanting after this), he is a B+ player at best. He has earned nothing. It was a good promo by Bryan. And the B+ line was only there to get heat from the crowd. It also shows the hypocrisy of Bryan as he was considered a B+ back in the authority days. Rating: 3.5/5 New day’s music interrupts Bryan. Big E and Woods hugged Kofi before going back and left Kofi to fight on his own. The Bar came out next. Kofi will face one of them to start the gauntlet. Gauntlet Match Kofi Kingston vs Sheamus I thought that Rowan will start the match that is why he and Bryan came out first, but whatever. The commentator made us know that the rest of the New Day is barred from ringside. That made sense. I was like why they left Kofi to fight alone. The crowd chants, "You look stupid" to Sheamus. Kofi is laughing at this. Kofi throws Sheamus outside and trust falls on him over the top rope. As the ref was ushing back Sheamus from the ropes, Cesaro uppercuts Kofi for a two count.  Every comeback attempt from kofi was shot down by Sheamus so far. Kofi does the Boom/New Day drop. Sheamus caught Kofi attempting the Trouble in Paradise. He tried to go for cloverleaf, but Kofi countered. Top rope crossbody by Kofi for a two count. Sheamus hits him with an Irish curse backbreaker led by the cloverleaf. Kofi smartly countered it to a pin attempt but a kick out. The Usos joins the New Day backstage watching the match. Sheamus went for the Brogue Kick. Kofi countered with a roll up. Sheamus kicks out but is taken down by the Trouble in Paradise instantly after. Sheamus is eliminated. Backstage the Hardys and Mustafa Ali joins to watch Kofi’s match. Kofi Kingston vs Cesaro Cesaro hits some uppercuts to start things off. Kofi attempts springboard move but Cesaro caught him and hit him with a backbreaker.

Cesaro does the swing to Kofi. He transitioned it into a cloverleaf instantly. Kofi grabs Cesaro’s leg and tried to roll him but Cesaro countered it into a suplex. He went for the Neutraliser. Kofi counters and hits SOS for the pin. Cesaro is eliminated Didn’t like how Kofi just hit one move to win against Cesaro. He should have had some more offence in the match. Kofi Kingston vs Rowan Rowan starts with a wicked clothesline. Followed by another clothesline on the outside. He just kept slamming Kofi over to the barricade. Rowan grabbed a chair and beat kofi with it to get disqualified Rowan is eliminated The 7-foot monster continued to beat Kofi even after he is eliminated. Backstage the new day is not happy with some more babyface joining them. Rowan put Kofi through the announce table with the Iron Claw laying him out. Kofi Kingston vs Samoa Joe The match got started in the break. Joe dominates Kofi for the majority if the match. Joe denied Kofi's comeback with a clothesline that turned him 180. The camera cuts backstage with more babyfaces watching the match now. Joe went for coquina clutch but Kofi countered with a stunner. Joe comes back with an urinagi. Kofi tried to come back but he is just too exhausted. Joe went for a  muscle buster but Kofi countered with a roll up to eliminate Joe. Samoa joe is eliminated

Backstage everyone is celebrating. Joe is furious and applies the coquina clutch through the ropes to choke Kofi out. Kofi Kingston vs Randy Orton Orton is working over Kofi. He calls Kofi stupid (flashbacks). Kofi throw him to the steel steps but Kofi doesn’t have enough left to make it count. Commentators acknowledged this being poetic justice when back in 2010 Orton stopped the ascend of Kofi in his feud. Orton just dominated the match. Orton went for RKO Kofi countered and hit Trouble in Paradise but he doesn't have enough left to go for the cover. He tried to crawl to go for the cover but Orton rolled out of the ring. Orton gets back in the match. Kofi has been in the match for 50+ minutes by this point. Orton hits his signature rope DDT. Orton went for the RKO but kofi rolled him over for the win. Winner: Kofi Kingston The new day comes out to congratulate Kofi and lifts him up on their shoulders and points at the WrestleMania sign. The crowd is celebrating with the New Day... But it is interrupted by Vince's Music. Vince McMahon comes out to congratulate Kofi and tells him that Kofi is going to WrestleMania as soon as he beats this one last man. Big E and Woods must leave now as they are still barred. Bryan comes out as the last man Kofi must face. Kofi Kingston vs Daniel Bryan

Bryan laid his kicks in the corner. The crowd chants NO to every kick. Bryan hits Kofi with a Back suplex from the top rope. He locks in the LeBell lock but Kofi forces a ropebreak. The crowd is super hot by this moment. Kofi tried to hit SOS but didn’t get all of it as he couldn’t roll over. This allowed Bryan to kick out. Bryan hits his running kicks to the corner led by stomps on kofi’s head. He does his Yes chants to call out for the running knee. He hits it and pins Kofi for the win. Winner: Daniel Bryan The individual matches may not be great. But they were average or sub-par at best but the story of told throughout. Kofi being too exhausted and finally beating all odds inky to get screwed by Vince yet again. This was great. I was genuinely heartbroken when Bryan pinned Kofi to lay him out. I am pretty sure he is going to get his match but I got worked at that moment and hated Vince, just what they wanted. Rating: 4/5 This was a very enjoyable episode of SmackDown Live. The promos were good. The wrestling was fine if not superb. And it gets me excited for next week. How will Kofi get added to the match? It is getting really interesting. It is funny how Raw just makes me want to kill myself while watching wrestling but SmackDown Live just reminds me why I love wrestling so much. Who Will Win?

Joaquin Phoenix’s ready to take the Oscar for playing one of the most iconic comic book villains of all time. Whether they love or hate the movie, everyone agrees he gave a powerful performance.

His version couldn’t be more different from Heath’s Ledger’s performance. Ledger’s was a calculating embodiment of chaos longing to watch the world burn. Phoenix’s version is a way more grounded performance.

Phoenix’s performance reminds me of Charlize Theron’s Oscar winning performance. Both performances reveal the humanity within monstrous characters, showcasing how their circumstances have left them unable to adjust to normal life. At the same time, the performances don’t back away from the disturbing aspects of their character’s personality.

A unique element to Phoenix’ performance is his physicality. He starts out as an average, raggedy schlub. As he descends into madness, he becomes so skinny you can see his ribs. Then he seems to contort his body, like his bones are trying to escape his body.

But his career highpoint comes in the climax when he appears on Murray Franklin’s (Robert De Niro) late night talk show. By now, he’s lost touch with reality, telling perverted jokes on national television and letting all his deep seeded resentment out in a furious rant.

He delivers big time.

·         Cynthia Erivo as Harriet Tubman, a former slave turned freedom fighter who led many slaves through the underground railroad in HARRIET

·         Scarlett Johansson as Nicole, an actress facing an ugly divorce in MARRIAGE STORY

·         Charlize Theron as Megyn Kelly, the real life former Fox News host who helped blow the whistle on Roger Ailes’ sexual misconduct in BOMBSHELL

·         Renee Zellweger as Judy Garland, a struggling actress who struggles with drug addiction and personal demons during a tour in England in JUDY

Who Will Win?

Renee Zellweger is the clear winner for embodying the immortal who died too soon.

One look at her and you see no sign of Zellweger. What you see is the most iconic actress/singer to ever come out of Hollywood. From the black curly hair to her sad doe eyes, Zellweger perfectly captures Garland’s look.

Well, the only element she couldn’t capture is Garland’s iconic voice. You still hear Zellweger’s voice when she talks or sings. But you soon forget about it because Zellweger’s still an excellent singer, especially when she sings Somewhere Over the Rainbow.

The Garland we meet is at her lowest point, desperate for any job after she’s burned too many bridges with the Hollywood that has psychologically damaged her. Her tour in London is her last chance for a comeback. You feel so bad for her as she tries to maintain a stable living for her children while battling her demons. It’s hard to watch her deal with cruel hecklers. At the same time, you can’t help but be frustrated by herself destructive behavior as she downs pills, behaves unprofessionally and being so out of it during performances. It’s clear she’s struggling with mental illness brought on by a cruel childhood and needs the counselling no one is providing.

Zellweger breaks through the shallow image to reveal Judy Garland’s nuanced humanity.

BEST SUPPORTING ACTOR:

·         Tom Hanks as Mr. Fred Rogers, the iconic children’s tv show host who offers a sympathetic ear to a troubled journalist (Matthew Rhys) in A BEATIFUL DAY IN THE NEIGHBOURHOOD

·         Sir Anthony Hopkins as Pope Benedict, a disgraced Pope who resigns from his position in THE TWO POPES

·         Al Pacino as Jimmy Hoffa, the bombastic real life Union Boss who would mysteriously disappear in THE IRISHMAN

·         Joe Pesci as Russell Bufalion, the cool, friendly mobster who takes the title character (Robert De Niro) under his win in THE IRISHMAN

Who Will Win?

Brad Pitt finally gets an acting award playing the coolest guy in film history.

Tarantino always seems determined to make Pitt look as cool as possible in his movies. First, he made Pitt the ultimate American Matinee Hero in Inglorious Basterds and how he’s has Pitt playing one awesome stuntman. He succeeded because never has Brad Pitt been more awesome. With his Hawaiian shirt, Blue Jeans and Cadillac Coupe de Ville, Cliff Booth is for Stuntmen what the Dude is for hippies. You wish you could be like Cliff Booth or at least have him as a friend.

Which is no small feat considering how bad his life is. While his friend Rick Dalton’s living in luxury, Cliff lives in a rundown trailer behind a drive-in theatre, eating kraft dinner with his pit-bull. He also has a hard time getting jobs because of a rumor that he killed his wife.[1] Despite this, you’d still rather be him and his whiny friend Rick.

While he’s gives a great performance, I feel the actor more deserving of this award is Joe Pesci. His character couldn’t be more different than his Oscar winning role of Tommy De Vito (Goodfellas). While Tommy is a volatile powder keg you avoid at all costs, Russel is an easygoing boss you’d love to have a beer with or a friend you go on cross country trips with.

But you come to realize underneath the demeanor is a cold hearted businessman. Nowhere is this truer than when he casually orders the death of Jimmy Hoffa like he’s firing an employee.

But it looks like Pitt’s taking home the trophy

Laura Dern takes the lead for her supporting performance. It’s all thanks to her first appearance.

When she first meets Nicole, Nora approaches her like high school friends at a sleep over; putting her feet on the couch and letting Nicole air her grievances. I’m surprised she didn’t pull out the ice cream. In another scene, she delivers an excellent monologue about the unrealistic standards society places on Mothers, especially during Divorce cases. Dern brings a lot of personality to her character into what little screen time she has.

Dern also shines in the courtroom scenes as she brushes off Ray Liotta’s rebuttals. While Liotta’s loud and blunt, Dern’s a cool assassin who uses Nicole’s anecdotes as weapons against Charlie.

Styles made popular by ’90s shows like 90210 trending again

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The reboot of the iconic ’90s show “Beverly Hills 90210” premiered Wednesday on FOX4. While pagers and Walkmans don’t look like they’ll be making a comeback any time soon, a lot of the fashion inspired by the cast is experiencing a bit of a revival.

The show  spanning from 1990 to 2000 as a pop culture that many consider vintage 1990s,

While some of the looks of Brenda, Kelly and Donna faded as quickly as their stone washed jeans at Kansas City vintage clothing stores, and mainstream new clothing stores popular among youth, ’90s fashion is back in style.

“There are so many labels and designers that are still mimicking the ’90s,” Kayla Haubenschild  with Arizona Trading Company said.

Wonderland Vintage’s Andy Chambers admits some vintage stores don’t remember 1990s fashion all that fondly, but said they will continue to buy ’90s clothes because it’s what their clientele demands.

So what’s driving the resurgence? It could be the availability of so many shows for that era on streaming services. Not necessarily from people who saw shows like 90210 in their heyday, but teens and young adults.

Marti Dixon recalled her surprise at her grandson’s fashion desires.

“I couldn’t believe he said’ I want Birkenstocks for Christmas,’ I’m going Birkenstocks I’ve got a pair upstairs,” she said.

Other 90210-era clothes that seem to be enjoying renewed popularity today, high-waisted “mom” jeans, Doc Martens,  flannel, and jean jackets.

It's been eight weeks since Kayla Itsines gave birth to her first child, daughter Arna Leia. It's no surprise that BBG fans have been eager to follow the trainer’s postpartum journey and see how she re-establishes a workout routine. Recently, the 28-year-old shared a quick update on Instagram to say she'd been cleared to do "light" workouts.

"Having been cleared for LIGHT workouts for over a week now (by my doctor and physiotherapist), I'm starting to really feel like myself again and not just in a physical sense," she wrote alongside one of her signature full-body mirror selfies. "I am so motivated right now because for me, fitness is my self-care, my time out and my PASSION. Being able to share my passion with YOU, the #BBGCommunity is helping me to get out of bed every morning (not forgetting my incredible family)!! #comeback"

Unfortunately, some of Itsines' nearly 12 million followers accused her of looking "too fit" in the photo she posted. Some people even shamed her for having "perfect abs" so soon after giving birth.

"These kind of pictures are exactly the kind that makes women hate their bodies," commented one person. "Most women can never get your body because of genetics, no matter how much dieting or exercise they do. Having perfect abs a couple of weeks after a baby is also extremely rare."

Another commenter shared a similar opinion: "Honestly with an account following of nearly 12mil really wished you would have posted a more raw and honest journey of your post-pregnancy experience. Very disappointing and you're just adding to the unnecessary pressure from social media for new mums to look like yourself in just a few weeks after birth."

Thankfully, several members of the BBG community were quick to defend Itsines. "Can we please stop and be a community of women that supports one [another] instead of shaming because of a person's weight," said one person. "Everyone is different and fit strong looks different on everyone because not everyone has the same body shape genetics."

Another person urged followers to stop comparing their bodies to Itsines' and respect that her journey looks different than theirs. It's disgusting the way some of you choose to attack her as if her current body isn’t 'bad' enough to make you feel better."

Postpartum bodies look different at every age, every ability, and every size—which Itsines has talked about in the past. 

"If I am honest, it is with great trepidation that I share with you this very personal image," she shared on Instagram in early May alongside a photo of her at one-week postpartum. “Every woman's journey through life but especially pregnancy, birth and healing post-birth is unique. While each journey has a common thread that connects us as women, our personal experience, our relationship with ourselves and our body will always be our own."

SmackDown on Fox Episode #7 SmackDown Episode # 1,056 Philadelphia, PA – Wells Fargo Center 11/15/19 The show opens with a video package covering everything that happened last week between King Corbin and Roman Reigns including the terrible promo that opened last week’s show.  Just like last week, we get the show starting out with yet another King Corbin promo, except this time he is carried to the ring on a Sedan and is joined by the two men who assisted him last week Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode. Corbin once again talks trash about Roman Reigns and says that he is the new captain of Team SmackDown. Ziggler and Roode talk about how Ali and Shorty G are weak links to the team and that they only got on the team in the first place because they had been hanging around Roman Reigns lately, they will beat Ali and Shorty G tonight and take their place on Team SmackDown. King Corbin invites Reigns to ringside which leads to a guy in a bulldog mascot uniform coming out to the ring. I hated that we got yet another boring promo from Corbin to start the show with the same shitty material as last week except for this week he has Roode, Ziggler, & a bulldog mascot that served zero purposes by his side. At least have it be Reigns inside the costume or let the mascot take a bump, then at least it would serve some purpose for why it is there. Why was the mascot a bulldog instead of a chihuahua since that is what Corbin accused Reigns of sounding like last week? I feel like this feud could make me regret wanting to review SmackDown every week, but don’t worry as I will continue to review the show no matter how bad it gets. We go to commercial and when we come back it’s time for our first match. Match #1: Dolph Ziggler & Robert Roode w/ King Corbin vs Shorty G & Mustafa Ali (If Roode & Ziggler win they take Ali & Shorty G’s place on Team SmackDown at Survivor Series) Shorty G and Roode start the match with Roode getting control early on until Shorty works his way out of a wrist lock and takes Roode down with a drop toe hold. Shorty hits a couple of arm drags before Roode decks him with a right and tags in Ziggler. Ziggler tries for a neck breaker but Shorty counters and hits an arm drag on Ziggler before tagging in Ali. Ali works over the arm of Ziggler momentarily until Ziggler gets into the ropes and kicks Ali. Ali hits a hurricanrana on Ziggler and follows up with the rolling X-Factor for a 2 count. Ziggler is able to make the tag to Roode and works over Ali in the corner for a while and just as it looks like Ali is going to make a comeback, he is distracted by Corbin at ringside which allows Roode to knock Ali off the apron, sending him flying into the announce table. Corbin celebrates at ringside but the celebration is soon interrupted as Roman Reigns makes his way down to ringside to even the odds as we go to commercial. Back from the break and we see Corbin and Reigns mouthing off to each other at ringside while Roode and Ziggler are trying to double team Ali but he fights them off momentarily, just when it looks like Ali is going to make the tag Ziggler runs back in and hits a fameasser on Ali for a 2 count. Ziggler signals for the superkick but instead he eats one of his own courtesy of Ali. Both Ziggler and Ali make hot tags and Shorty is cleaning house as he hits a running capo kick in the corner followed by a neck breaker. Shorty hits Roode with a moonsault for a 2 count and then tries for the Chaos Theory, but Roode holds onto the ropes and Ziggler makes a blind tag. Roode and Ziggler hit their spinebuster and Zig Zag combo that gets a 2 count when Ali breaks it up at the very last second. Ziggler hits a superkick on Ali knocking him off the apron and then tries to hit one on Shorty but Shorty catches his leg and puts him in the ankle lock only for Roode to break it moments later.  Roode signals to Corbin to hand him the scepter but as he does Reigns hits Corbin with a Drive-By. Roode sends Reigns into the announce table and then turns around to get hit with a tope suicida from Ali and then Reigns hits a Spear on Corbin. Ziggler tries to roll-up Shorty but he kicks out and then Shorty hits the Chaos Theory followed by a 450 from Ali (who made a blind tag) to get the win.  Winners: Shorty G & Mustafa Ali via Pinfall   Match Rating: **¾  This match was better on my second watch (yes I watch twice in order to properly review the show) than it was when I first watched it. Corey got in a funny line about Shorty G vanquishing the Monstars and falling in love with Lola Bunny since he looks like a basketball player. There is an edition of Firefly Funhouse where Bray turns the Universal Championship from red to blue so everyone knows that it is now a SmackDown championship. Braun Strowman comes to the ring and is set to face the trio of Drew Gulak and the B-Team, but before it starts Gulak tries to show Strowman a slideshow of why he would be better for Team SmackDown than Strowman would. Strowman destroys the B-Team as Gulak escapes unharmed.  If I hadn’t been told already I would have no idea that Braun Strowman was part of Team SmackDown as he didn’t have any involvement with any of his teammates, although that’s probably best as we don’t need Strowman dragged into this horrible feud between Corbin and Reigns.  Daniel Bryan is walking backstage before he is stopped by Sami Zayn and Shinsuke Nakamura, once again Zayn tries to get Bryan to join them, but Bryan flat out denies Zayn’s attempts this time. Bryan suggests that Zayn try to recruit Braun Strowman which causes Zayn to run down Strowman only to find out he is standing behind him the entire time.  Match #2: The New Day © vs The Revival (SmackDown Tag Team Championships) Kingston and Wilder start the match going toe to toe until Kingston goes for a jumping back elbow only to be caught by Wilder who sends him off to Dawson who suplexes Kingston across the top rope for a 2 count and then Dawson hits a northern lights suplex for another 2 count. Dawson sets Kingston up on the top rope looking for a superplex but Kingston fights him off sending Dawson down to the mat and then hitting him with a missile dropkick. Kingston tries to make the hot tag to Big E but is cut off by Wilder who hits him with a power slam for a 2 count as we go to commercial.  As we come back from break Kingston hits Wilder with a belly to back suplex but yet again The Revival with their excellent teamwork cut the ring off so Kingston can’t make the tag. Dawson hits a neck breaker and goes for a top rope elbow but Kingston moves and this finally allows Kingston to make the hot tag to Big E. Big E hits a couple of overhead belly to belly suplexes followed by a side belly to belly suplex. Big E grinds them hips and goes for the big splash but Wilder gets his knees up. Wilder makes the tag to Dawson who runs into a uranage out of the corner for 2. Dawson tags Wilder back in and he hits a tornado DDT on Big E for 2. Wilder shows off his strength by picking up Big E on his shoulders, but Big E slides out the back and we get a double down with Wilder and Big E. Big E makes the tag and Kingston hits Dawson with a dropkick off the top and then dives out onto The Revival with the trust fall. New Day looks for the Midnight Hour but Wilder stops that from happening as he hits Kingston in mid-air. Dawson hits Big E with the Arn Anderson style DDT for a 2 count. The Revival looks to hit the double draping DDT which they learned from Orton but Big E backdrops them to the floor. Big E launches Kingston from inside the ring onto The Revival at ringside, but they catch Kingston and send him into the ring post and then they hit a double back suplex on Big E onto the announce table which they also learned from Randy Orton. The Revival gets Big E back into the ring and hit the Shatter Machine only for Kingston to fly into the ring out of nowhere to break up a pin attempt. All four men are down when The Undisputed Era show up and attack both teams. Winners: No Contest   Match Rating: ***½  Fish and O’Reilly give Wilder the high and low while Cole and Strong hit a superkick and jumping knee combo on Big E. Dawson then gets hit with the high and low which sends members of the SmackDown locker room out to make the save and chase off the Undisputed Era. As great as last week’s match was between these two teams this one was even better and they were given two additional minutes that they didn’t get last week. I would like to see these two teams get a PPV match that lasts 12-15 minutes and let them tear the house down. It was a bummer we didn’t get a clean winner but it makes sense to keep both teams hot while also pushing the NXT invasion storyline at the same time. I still have to wonder what Adam Cole is doing at Survivor Series since the other members of Undisputed Era have matches already, I’m guessing he will be the team captain for the NXT men’s team. Match #3: Heavy Machinery vs Kevin Tibbs & Kip Stevens Otis throws Stevens across the ring which leads to him tagging in Kevin Tibbs, Tibbs tries for a sunset flip and Stevens tries for a crossbody but Otis catches Stevens and slams him onto Tibbs. Otis tags in Tucker and they hit simultaneous stalling vertical suplexes. The jobbers try for a double clothesline on Tucker but he breaks through and takes them both down with a running crossbody. Tucker clotheslines Stevens out of his boots and then smashes Tibbs in the corner with an avalanche. Tucker tags in Otis who hits a Caterpillar on Tibbs and then they hit the Compactor on Stevens to pick up an easy win.  Winners: Heavy Machinery via Pinfall   Match Rating: ¼* Nothing here to talk about except for Corey taking a shot at Billy Gunn by asking Cole if he had ever met a tough guy named Kip which is Gunn’s shoot name. Sasha Banks and the SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley are interviewed by Kayla Braxton. Kayla asks Bayley about her attacks on Becky Lynch and Shayna Baszler earlier this week, Bayley says that Becky and Shayna will never think of her as an afterthought again, every time she gets in the ring it’s personal because it’s all about her and that beating people brings her joy so it’s going to make her happy to crush Nikki Cross’s dreams. Sasha follows up by saying that Nikki doesn’t deserve to be on Team SmackDown because both Bayley and Sasha have beat her over the last few weeks. Bayley says that maybe she will join Team SmackDown and the two of them can beat Team Raw and Team NXT.  Last week I said that I am enjoying heel Bayley but in addition to it being a great change of character and showing off a different side of her, it has also somehow made her a lot more hachi machi I guess it has something to do with the bad girl/bad guy always being more attractive than the good girl/good guy also the fact they are letting her wear street clothes may have something to do with it as well.  It is announced that next week we are getting a six-man tag match featuring Roman Reigns, Shorty G, & Mustafa Ali going against the team of King Corbin, Dolph Ziggler, & Robert Roode. Bayley and Nikki Cross are having their scheduled match against each other but it doesn’t last long before Bayley spots Shayna Baszler and tries to escape through the crowd, but when she does other members of the women’s NXT locker room come up behind her and Rhea Ripley slams Bayley on the floor. Sasha attacks Shayna from behind and this leads to a brawl between the SmackDown and NXT women’s rosters. Shayna and Bayley fight to the back and Tamina, Sonya Deville, & Mandy Rose follow them leaving eight women to compete in the next match. Match #4: Team SmackDown (Sasha Banks, Carmella, Dana Brooke, & Nikki Cross) vs Team NXT (Rhea Ripley, Mia Yim, Tegan Nox, & Dakota Kai) Nikki and Dakota start things off with Dakota beating down Nikki until Nikki comes back with a running crossbody. Dakota tags in Mia who enters the ring and gets arm dragged by Nikki, Nikki hollers for Carmella to make the tag. Carmella and Mia trade wrist locks before Mia takes control by hitting a big chop to the chest of Carmella. Carmella dodges a Yakuza kick in the corner by Mia and then shows off by moonwalking across the ring, Mia and Carmella trade kick attempts before Carmella successfully connects with a kick to the gut. Carmella is building momentum as she kicks Tegan off the apron while holding Mia in a front face lock until Mia slams her to the mat to break that momentum. Mia tags in Tegan who stomps a mudhole in Carmella before tagging Dakota back in, Dakota sweeps the leg of Carmella and then whips Tegan in her direction so she can hit Carmella with the inverted cannonball. Tegan goes for the cover but forgets that she had tagged in Dakota and is no longer the legal woman, this allows Carmella to have enough time to kick out at 2. Tegan is working over Carmella as Mia talks trash to her with a smile on her face. Carmella is finally able to make the hot tag to Sasha who goes for the running Meteora but Tegan counters it into a roll-up for 2. Rhea gets tagged in and we get a staredown between Rhea and Sasha before Sash slaps Rhea and then tries for a tornado DDT, but Rhea blocks it and powers Sasha up so she can hit a vertical suplex on The Boss. We get a sequence where Rhea and Sash keep countering each other until Sasha is able to lock in the Bank Statement but Rhea rolls through and then both women knock some of their opposing team members off the apron. This brings all eight women into the ring as we go to commercial. Back from commercial and it’s Rhea and Nikki in the ring. Rhea kicks Sasha off the apron and then Nikki comes off the middle rope with a crossbody and returns the favor as she knocks Rhea’s teammates off the apron. Nikki hits an avalanche on Rhea in the corner and as she does Dakota is back on the apron to make a blind tag. Nikki hits a belly to back suplex on Dakota and goes for the pin which gets broken up by Tegan who hits Nikki with the Shiniest Wizard, this leads to a sequence where all the women hit their finishers. Dakota hits Nikki with a Scorpion kick and then tries for a suplex, but Nikki blocks it and hits The Purge out of nowhere to get the win for Team SmackDown. Winners: Team SmackDown via Pinfall  Match Rating: *** After the match all the women start brawling again as Team SmackDown send Team NXT retreating back through the crowd.  From the Bayley and Sasha interview all the way to the NXT women leaving through the crowd I loved everything about these three segments involving the women. There were so many talented women that were involved here (except Tamina) and it just shows how much depth there is to the women’s roster that stands underneath the WWE umbrella and this didn’t even include all the women down in NXT or any of the women from Raw. The fact that they have that many talented women in their company and they can’t give them and their fans just one night every year dedicated solely to them is such a damn shame and a great injustice to all the hard work they put in all year. I can’t wait for the two women’s matches at Survivor Series as the 15 woman tag should be a lot of fun and the triple threat has a chance to steal the show. Rhea would later state on Twitter that the she and the women on her WarGames match came to SmackDown to get retribution on Bayley for stepping into their home and not to help out Shayna.

It’s now time for Miz TV with his guest Daniel Bryan. The Miz asks Bryan about being attacked by The Fiend and talks about how Daniel Bryan isn’t the same person that he was a decade ago, Miz questions which Daniel Bryan we are currently getting. Bryan lets Miz know that Miz TV sucks and it always has, he admits that he isn’t the same person he used to be. The Miz goes to interrupt Bryan but is quickly shouted down and told to shut up, Bryan goes on to say that he has become mentally unstable over the years and his passion for the business has caused his mental instability. Bryan says that nobody knows what it’s like to have the combination of passion and instability that he has except for one person and that one person is Bray Wyatt because Bray is just as mentally unstable as he is.  Bray pops up on the screen and says that the reason The Fiend attacked Bryan last week could be because he wanted to scare him or maybe he just wanted to play, this would lead to Bray pulling the Universal Championship out of a toy box. Bray then says that if Daniel wants to play he just has to say that one very special word which is Yes, but Bryan says No and this leads to a back and forth between the Firefly Funhouse puppets (and the crowd) chanting Yes while Bryan continued to say No. The segment ends with Bray repeatedly saying Yes with him getting more boisterous each time. The show ends very awkwardly as Miz is just standing in the ring while Bryan walks to the back.  This was a good segment to close the show with as the promo by Bryan was really great. I liked how he talked about Bray Wyatt being the only one who can understand what he is going through although they are mentally unstable for two completely different reasons as Bray is just wired that way whereas Bryan’s intense and non-stop passion for the business has made him that way over time. I also liked how Bray was going to force Bryan to say the one word that he has refused to say since last year, however the part that started to drag the segment down was when we got to the back and forth between the Funhouse puppets and Bryan as well as Bray repeatedly saying Yes as that lasted a bit longer than it needed to be. While I think the match between these two will be interesting (it will be even better if they decide to remove the red lighting during the matches) the winner is pretty much guaranteed to be Bray as he isn’t going to lose the title this soon, also Bryan still has his story going with Zayn and Nakamura so most likely they will cost Bryan the match. This was a much better SmackDown than last week as other than the stuff with Roman Reigns and King Corbin the rest of the show was really solid as we saw three good tag matches and some great buildup to Survivor Series, especially when it came to the women as all of their interactions were the highlight of the show. That’s it for this week, next week will be the SmackDown go-home show for Survivor Series so I expect the annual locker room brawl to close the show and don’t forget about the “big” six-man tag match scheduled for next week.
