In keeping with Spock's inability to tell anyone anything I believe that Sarek also doesn't.
I believe that due to their shared Katra, Sarek, when Michael is feeling exceptionally strong emotions he can still feel her despite her being in the future.
Slowly but surely Sarek decides that it is only logical to, in private, also feel strong emotions as a form of communication with his daughter.
But he never tells anyone he can still commune with her in fear of hurting his emotional wife and his son who he believes is weaker in the logic department than him.
This has the unwanted effect of making Amanda believe that Sarek is hiding away to feel his emotions by himself as he grieves so now in order to make sure Amanda doesn't find out about him keeping secrets from her he has to pretend to mourn Michael who is laughing at him the whole time.

I’ve probably broken some kind of world record for most fix-it ideas for what happened in Star Trek Generations
Only written a couple of these into fics so far but my ideas include:
• Kirk and Spock are reunited in the afterlife when Spock passes away
• Spock saves Kirk from the Nexus the next time it passes into the galaxy after he was lost (and it makes a copy of him so canon is still intact)
• Spock arrives on the scene right as Kirk dies and uses his katra to heal him and bring him back (like what Sarek did to Michael)
• When the bridge falls, Spock saves Kirk using his rocket boots from TFF
• Kirk comes back as a ghost after he dies and just hangs around Spock for the rest of Spock’s life and then they move on together when Spock dies
• While Kirk is still lost in the Nexus, his mental bond with Spock is still intact so they can communicate with each other telepathically
• The circumstances that take Spock into the Kelvin timeline somehow get Kirk there too and when they realize that Spock won’t live much longer Spock offers to give Kirk his katra so Jim can live out the rest of his life with Spock being part of him
• What happens to Kirk in Generations (and what happens to Spock in the AOS, sorry) are just dreams or false visions that one or both of them have
• (I think I saw something about one of the novels framing the events of TFF as a play being put on Ember Island Players style so you know what I’m doing that with this movie too)
•Kirk and Picard just go back in time far enough that Kirk falling off the bridge doesn’t (have to) happen
•some kind of time travel shenanigans (like whatever the hell happened with the Enterprise-C that led to Tasha Yar having a kid with a Romulan) made it so Kirk getting lost never happened
•speaking of time travel, maybe Boimler accidentally tipped off Spock about what was going to happen to Kirk and Spock has proven that he’s willing to break rules for Kirk so he uses his accidentally-acquired knowledge of the future to prevent it from happening
•Kirk being brought back by the Borg like in Shatner’s novels happens but Kirk marries Spock instead of whatever woman it was in those books
My point is I refuse to believe or accept that Jim was lost and presumed dead for 78 years and then when he’s finally rescued he dies literally minutes later without being able to even see any of his old friends again first

Even in Star Trek, there are scarcities.
Tumblr media
Mudd's Women. Miners, who have a lot of money but no bitches, pay Mudd for bitches. After shenanigans, said bitches happily marry the miners. Doesn't sound very socialist. In fact, the entirety of DS9 is a deconstruction of the socialist utopia. It pulls on a thread and keeps on pulling. Star Trek is neither socialist - government is supposed to disappear, and it never will - nor utopia, as there were always criminals, even rapists, in Star Trek, and there were always those who had not. At the very least, look at space travel. Who had their own warp capable spaceship? Private ships seem very rare in the Federation, and paying for transport is a plot point in ST:3. Bones, burdened by Spock's Katra, struggles to pay the transport fee to another system. Even if it is relative post scarcity compared to our lives, it is still one where scarcities exist and are meaningful throughout the classic series.
Tumblr media
Stuff. Matters. Roddenberry might have wanted a future where it didn't, and clearly it doesn't matter as much, but the fact is, this isn't post scarcity, and the scarcities are the centre of a heck of a lot of stories. The Enterprise is THE best ship, for most of it, and there are things you will never see unless you sign up for Starfleet, which is a quasi-military service.
Tumblr media
Or, in DS9, an outright military.
Tumblr media
You can stay home and eat spaghetti all day every day if you like, and if that's your idea of utopia, wonderful, and I am sure it looks like it compared to most of human existence - but so does today. Millions of years of humans would be flabbergasted by how much food we can have. Even poor people are dying from it.
Tumblr media
Heck, when did you last hear of people in the West dying of thirst? We are post-scarcity for clean healthy water, for almost everyone in our sphere, and most outside are getting there.
Cadet Nog: It's not my fault your species decided to abandon currency-based economics in favor of some philosophy of self-enhancement.
Jake Sisko: Hey - watch it! There's nothing wrong with our philosophy. We work to better ourselves and the rest of Humanity.
Cadet Nog: What does that mean exactly?
Jake Sisko: It means... it means, we don't need money.
And what is Nog's response? "Well, if you don't need money, then you certainly don't need mine!" I don't think there's anything wrong with aspirations. I'd love to be perfect morally and physically, I enjoy Superman stories where he is just that. But I know they aren't real. And the problem is that Leftists look at Star Trek as if it was a documentary, when even Star Trek knew there were paradoxes and tensions in its impossible dream.
Tumblr media
A place where freedom was defended by lies and atrocities and genocide.
I liked The Orville, but man, was it shallow compared to the depths Star Trek attained towards the end.

Do you have any Kya II headcanons
Yes!! Here you go!!
When Kya was 15 she got a nose ring to match her favorite Probending player. (I wrote a fic about this one)
Kya travels the world as an adult because she’s fascinated by the nomadic lifestyle of her ancestors. She wants to travel the world to help people and learn as much as she can about her lost culture.
When Kya falls in love, she falls in love hard. She wears her heart on her sleeve and isn’t ashamed of showing her emotions.
She has a couple long term girlfriends but she never really settles down until she’s older. (with Lin)
Aang definitely took Kya and Bumi on vacation with him (he’s a busy parent not an asshole) bc they love spending whatever quality time they could with their dad.
Kya and Katara are definitely closest. Katara tries not to play favorites but she can’t help bonding with her little girl and getting to do all the things she never got to do with her own mother.
Kya and Bumi traveled with their parents from the southern water tribe to Republic City and the southern air temple. It wasn’t until Tenzin was born that the family officially lived on Air Temple Island.
Kya and Lin start a long distance relationship while she’s living in the Southern water tribe. She visits Republic City often but refuses to leave her mother to live by herself in her old age.
When her and Izumi were really little their parents sometimes dressed them up the same and Aang called them the ‘twins’ because they were so close in age.
Kya is a vegetarian like her father. It’s a challenge to recreate a lot of Southern Water Tribe foods as vegetarian but she’s able to make some really good substitutes.
Bumi and Kya are especially close as siblings. She cries a lot after he leaves to the united forces because she misses him so much.
She is the glue between her brothers relationship and never lets them go more than a few months without speaking.
Bumi, Izumi, and Kya got into a lot of shenanigans when they were together. Bumi was the master plotter and Izumi and Kya just went along with his plans. (until they were old enough to realize he was using them to do his bidding)
Katra only asks Kya once if she ever plans on settling down and having kids. She doesn’t want to pressure her kids into having kids but she really really really wants grandkids.

"Dont burst yet kitty. You still haven't done enough to make me explode." Adora teased as she began dripping precum. Her massive dick now at 30 feet, only 20 away from hitting the ceiling.
The fact that their Shenanigans haven't knocked up the entire Kingdom of Brightman was nothing short of a miracle at this point. Katra responded to that kitty remark by grabbing Adora balls and squeezing them

Star Trek: Discovery Theories
Okay, I know this isn’t the normal stuff I post--and in fact I haven’t posted in a loooong time--but I’ve been watching Star Trek: Discovery and after that bombshell of an episode (or really, the last few episodes), I have a few theories about where the show is going to go from here.
First, some background:
In the Prime Universe
We know that the spore drive doesn’t become a Federation fixture in any of the known canon through Voyager.
We know that Klingon cloaking technology continues to be a problem through TOS and even beyond.
We also know that Spock never mentions a foster sister (we could chalk this up to Spock--and Sarek, for that matter--being private individuals).
In the Mirror Universe
We know that the Empire continues to “thrive” during TOS and beyond.
We also know that spore technology does not seem to become a fixture of the Mirror Universe.
Okay, so those are things we already know. Using this and also considering what makes the most sense narrative-wise from my perspective, here are my theories.
Theory One: Super Cosmic Road Trip Across the Multiverse!
Discovery escapes the Mirror Universe, but ends up in another parallel and not the Prime universe. The show ends up going on to explore more parallels. Maybe they are looking for something to bring back to the Prime universe, maybe they’re trying to find a roundabout way back (with the traditional jump way being blocked somehow), or maybe they simply can’t get back for some reason. Whatever the case, they spend a lot of time dimension hopping.
I like this theory for several reasons. First, it would free Discovery from being limited by canon. Honestly Star Trek canon, especially in this window between Enterprise and TOS, can be cumbersome. This would also neatly explain why such an OP technology as spore drive never makes it into general circulation--the Glenn’s unfortunate accident and the Discovery’s disappearance proves to The Powers That Be that spore tech is too volatile--and the Klingon cloak continues to be an issue. It might even explain why Michael is never mentioned by Spock or Sarek; she’s gone and there is no logical reason to bring it up. Maybe her disappearance, along with the rest of the Discovery, is classified.
Second, it would create an interesting situation for the crew, particularly concerning how to deal with Tyler/Voq, L’Rell, and possibly Mirror!Lorca. If they returned to the Prime Universe, Tyler/Voq and L’Rell would soon exit the ship (and possibly the show) into a Federation detainment facility and mirror!Lorca (if he survives, and I think he will) would also be in quite a pickle. If the Klingons were “defeated”, that could mean the end of Michael’s storyline; true, she might be pardoned, but then she might also just be put back in prison.
If they were in another parallel, however, Tyler/Voq and L’Rell would eventually be integrated into the crew. Mirror!Lorca could continue to be the captain. Everyone has to work together and learn about each other. Between this and the first point, the name of the ship (and the show) would gain additional meaning.
There are hints this is where the story is going already, most notably how in episode 9 the whole prospect of exploring the multiverse was brought up and emphasized. This might have only been because the show was about to go to the MU, but honestly, what else are they going to do with a spore drive? I suppose they could abandon the tech on their return, but that would so fundamentally change the nature of the ship that there’d almost be no point to the show anymore. In Star Trek the ship is a fixture in itself, almost a character in its own right.
This theory has a few holes: what do they do with the information regarding the Klingon cloaking device, for instance? What about the war with the Klingons? What about Michael’s so overdue father-daughter discussion with Sarek?
It’s hard to answer these questions with certainty, obviously, but I can try.
Regarding the Klingon cloaking device data, maybe they get an opportunity to utilize it somehow in one or more of the parallels. Maybe they can’t do anything with it at all (they did only spend one episode on that plot point, after all). As for the Klingon war, maybe they see different iterations of it through the parallels. Maybe it’s relevant in indirect ways, or maybe the war was just used as a backdrop to inform the characters and set up the rest of the show. As for Sarek, his connection with Michael, and their promised “talk”, maybe their entwined katras can enable communication across space, time, and dimension like the mycellial network (this was hinted at in Lethe, too).
This theory would really take Star Trek: Discovery to a place no other Star Trek has gone before, and I think it’s the most exciting possibility.
Theory Two: Super Cosmic Road Trip Across the Multiverse Time
I’ve seen this bounced around a few times already, actually. Discovery returns to the Prime Universe but appears in the wrong time, probably the future. This could also keep the crew together, integrating the Klingon and maybe mirror! elements together with everyone else. The justice system might be different, therefore the prisoners can’t be turned in to the authorities. Discovery explores the future instead of the multiverse/fighting the war with the Klingons in their original time.
This could be neat and would also free up Discovery to make its own rules and canon. Exploring time could be interesting. Basically this is just Theory One with time travel instead of interdimensional multiverse hopping.
Theory Three: Everything is Awful in Primetime
Discovery does return to its native timeline. Tyler/Voq and L’Rell escape, possibly destroying the data about the Klingon cloaking device and maybe even the spore drive. I think this isn’t that likely, tbh, but it’s worth throwing out there. Tyler/Voq and L’Rell possibly become the Big Bads, but might become unexpected allies. If Lorca is Mirror!Lorca(and he isn’t dead), he is turned over to the authorities (either for being from the MU or simply for being psychologically unstable). We get a new captain or Saru becomes captain--and personally I don’t think he’s ready for that.
I suppose if the Lorca we know is mirror!Lorca and prime!Lorca isn’t dead, prime!Lorca could return to the PU with the Discovery. But that feels kinda cheap from a narrative perspective, just doin’ the whole switcharoo and going on like nothing happened.
I also think this one would just really really suck. Everything the Discovery worked so hard for would be stripped away from them. It’d be so emotionally heavy and hopeless it would negate the progress made over the entire first season of the show.
Theory Four: Let’s Hit the Reset Button
Through spore shenanigans, Stamets resets time, undoing the damage that has already been done (Culber’s death, Tyler’s sudden transition to Voq (or if he can’t undo that, then at least anticipate it), maybe even prevent them from going to the MU in the first place). I like this theory the least of all. Believe me, I want all the shit that happened to be undone. I love Hugh. I love Tyler. I love Michael. I don’t want anyone to suffer. But I also know that out of all the options, this one is the most handwave-y, plot device-y, narrative-breaking one. Like, if Stamets can do all that, he can do anything. He’s already got some pretty God-tier shit going on, and if he could reset time at will? Where do you even go from there?
Incidentally, I do think that Stamets will be able to bring Hugh back to life. I’m not sure how yet, but it’s going to happen. I hope it happens in such a way that emphasizes that while Stamets has tremendous capabilities, he can’t just resurrect every fallen crew member ever.
Anyway, these are just my thoughts. Honestly I’d really love a plot that eventually gets everyone to work together. Integrating the Klingons into the crew somehow would be really interesting, and if Lorca is an MU native his continued presence on the Discovery could provide some interesting material as well. Star Trek has always emphasized a message of unity and coexistence regardless of origins, and Discovery specifically has focused on personal and interpersonal discovery as well as scientific exploration. The first two theories seem most aligned with these principles and offer the most freedom from canon and productive possibilities. Whatever the case, I’m currently still really happy with the series and can’t wait to see where Discovery takes us next!

ok hear me out: ygo star trek au
where seto kaiba is captain of the uss domino about a year into a five year mission with his brother as first officer, and things are going pretty okay, albeit the hijinks that come with encountering alien life. But suddenly, after a milk run mission to vulcan, this tiny anxious ensign yugi mutou starts making a name for himself by suddenly always having the solution to their problems, getting the crew out of multiple dangerous situations involving hostile romulans, warp core failures, and a tribble disaster we reeeeeally don't have to talk about. But when pressed about his sudden acts of genius, yugi is v v v tight-lipped about how he became a tactical, engineering, & diplomatic expert seemingly overnight. Seto goes damn near out of his mind trying to figure out what's going on.
Finally it comes out that due to a wrong-place-wrong-time mishap back on vulcan, yugi is the proud mental landlord to the katra of a saucy pre-reform vulcan warrior king, Atem. Seto, ever the skeptic, thinks katras are bullshit mysticism and refuses to believe any part of it. He especially refuses to believe this tiny ensign is routinely kicking his ass at tri-d chess because of a goddamn Vulcan ghost. And also he's certainly not saying he believes in any of that garbage but hypothetically if what yugi's saying is true should we go back to Vulcan and put him the fuck back. But they're stuck waaaay in deep space by now so that's not really an option. Atem thinks it's fucking hilarious. He's having the time of his (after)life and he's not going anywhere.
They all have beautiful space shenanigans together the end.
