The scene with the mixed up cheerleaders parents is why in season 1 they never (?) went past the glass doors. Like no, that wasn't Hen or Eddie's fault BUT they had no reason to be there when the parents found out like leave that to the doctors and nurses
#911#911 thoughts#katy rambles#councilwoman Ortiz shouldnt be using it against Hen though#because she was NOT at fault there#the girl responded makayla when asked her name#that is a normal teaction to that

Hey Lovelies. Been a lot of excitement today, certainly a lot going on! Rhys' birthday week, actual footage of something in Lochness, podcasts, billboards and movies, oh my! I know some of us are struggling a bit with some personal stuff, it's a hard time out there. It hits harder too when you get all this fun dopamine from the internet, then you turn around and look back at normal life and things are tough. Remember to be kind to yourself lovelies. Things aren't always going to go the way you plan or want. It's okay if you can't get out of bed today. It's okay if you scroll on your phone and get your dopamine from goofy ass pictures of celebrities. It's okay if you get up and you brush your teeth, but just can't make your breakfast. Eat something simple. Drink some water, lay down for a while. Little things build to big things. If you can't do laundry today because you don't have the spoons/motivation, then don't do laundry today. Just remember to change your underwear if you have some clean ones cause you don't wanna get a UTI. If all you can do today is exist, you're doing great. You're doing better than great, you're fantastic. Tomorrow you can do a little bit more, or a little less, depending on what you need. Just be kind to yourself and give yourself grace; the world is hard enough as it is, you don't need to beat yourself up for struggling with very real issues. Thank you all for making the past few weeks tolerable, I appreciate that so much. It's keeping my brain chemistry in a spot that's healthier than is used to be. I hope you all know just how wonderful you truly are, and that me and the rest of the crew are rooting for you every day. We're here, we love you <3 Stay well.

The Cool & SRS Music Sharing Collective.
WUSB always had a history of dee-jays finding new music off each other. This was and always will be no issue. Thanks to Alice of Nightmare Aquarium, I’d never know who Ariel Pink or William Onyeabor were, and quadruple that for Black Marble, an act that’s become one of my best discoveries of the decade. Others had always asked me for playlists and “that one song I played fifteen minutes before the end of my show”. Our lives are a little more tolerable thanks to our station.
Shaerie, our dee-jay and resident astrologist, decided to create a secret group to post finds for only us to listen to. The Cool & SRS Music Sharing Collective was established in August 2016. She bestowed our dee-jay Conor (Headless Elvis) the title of admin- and the two started letting their closest friends and station volunteers in. “If there’s shitty music in this group, I will delete the fuck out of it”, she declared. Their first order of business? PWR BTTM’s “New Hampshire”. That was back when everyone and their cat loved them, until they were outed as sexual predators and then became shitty. We’ve yet to delete the fuck out of them, hmmm?
A month later, I was in. The SRS (“serious”) collective took off and we posted on a near-endless basis that almost everyone at one point had some catching up to do. Shaerie and Conor shared many a Bandcamp and d.i.y. find. They provided our daily allowance of acts in Downtown Boys, Ty Segall, Slowthai, Slothrust, Kal Marks, wosX, Car Seat Headrest, Saint Pepsi, Really Big Pinecone, and more. Cornflower posted some Argentinian musicks; and many others pitched the obvious, the classics, and some obscure finds in Brian Eno, Neu, Velvet Underground, The Fall, Richard Hell, Bush Tetras, Suicide, old-school hip-hop, alternative, shoegaze, and other nutritious pieces of good music. Other posts of theirs in Future Islands, Rolling Blackouts C.F., Speedy Ortiz, Idles, Snail Mail, Algiers, and Fidlar were ones my show Omega WUSB already played beforehand. They had our phases of Mac DeMarco and Frankie Cosmos worship. Did you know she was Phoebe Cates’ daughter? Shocked the shit out of me.
Some things dropped off on SRS became essential not only for Omega WUSB but for me personally. Conor’s why I’ve played Cende, Marijuana Deathsquads, Machine Girl, and Ghost Spell, and why I’m now a huge fan of Water From Your Eyes / Rachel Brown. He’s also the one responsible for me discovering Post Trash which helped influenced my show’s format and made me find the beauty of d.i.y. music. You can thank our friend Toasty for Palm’s “Dog Milk” that became part of a personal soundtrack to a wildly surreal summer.
Sharing is caring collecting, so I spread the wealth, too. I posted anything you could think of in hopes of resonating with our own. Most of the time it hit. Other times I struck out. Who was the only one who came though if others didn’t half the time? Spooky Christmas, the other (female) dee-jay who cares about sample culture as much as I do. Hooded Fang and Javelin were two which people jumped on board. Conor saw my post for Unstoppable Death Machines and he was floored: the billboard shown on Know Tomorrow was a real one very familiar for those driving west on the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway, and he was a fan of theirs.
We didn’t just post music, we posted current events, too. Our staff were (and still are) very into the meat of the city scene. They were sad to see Shea Stadium close down for good. That’s the venue, not the former home of the New York Mets but that’s been gone. Citi Field should also close down, too. (Go Yankees!) As Shaerie left, Conor took over and gave SRS an important edge. Leave it up to him to post pieces from the Washington City Paper, where Priest’s Katie Alice Grier questioned how safe safe-spaces really were; or from the Creative Independent about Lightning Bolt’s Brian Chippendale living in, owning, and being evicted from d.i.y. venues. See where our mindset is?
Even there were a few moments that I found my fellow staffers’ actions (besides posting PWR BTTM) questionable and grounds for expulsion from the SRS and the station. Toto’s “Africa” but with vocals one step out of key and off-beat. Marcus Mixx’ “My Oui Oui (New York)” for fuck’s sake. Smashmouth’s “Allstar” but every word is “somebody”. Yeah, somebody should’ve deserved a caning for that one. Mac Sabbath? Really? Thank Based God we didn’t post Okilly Dokilly, either.
But, they redeemed themselves when they really hit a few out of the park. Conor’s bandmate Jasko found Black Merda’s self-titled album. I thought I was the only one who knew of them. Cornflower found The Avalanches’ “Since I Met You”, which solved a mystery of what that song was I recorded on cassette 15 years ago. Conor once again wowed me when he posted Pigs’ You Ruin Everything (Unsane-related), because again, I had that all to myself. Kleenex’ “Nice”, Elite Gymnastics, Thee Oh Sees, and Death’s “Politicians In My Eyes” were other finds from our staffers which Omega WUSB played beforehand.
If not for Shaerie and Conor, I wouldn’t have a read on where some of the best dee-jays and selectors stood and what we’re all about. Some of what they posted for all to see was what I essentially wanted. What I wanted, like everyone else, was a connection with ourselves and the music. And I got it all in spades and diamonds. Thanks to everyone involved, I wouldn’t have summer memories, a newfound appreciation for the local / city scene, or the feelings I get for hearing specific sounds, vibes, ideas, and projections from certain artists. These are feelings I want and what they come with is a vision that makes me see and imagine things others don’t. As an aside, it was great to see what we’d come up with and how excited we were when we got it. It was a joker’s-wild goin’ on and we didn’t know what the fuck would happen.
For anyone keeping score, here’s what we took with us and what we gave back. Now it’s yours. It’s been a ride. SRS took off and ran well for a year-and-a-half. It slowed to a halt when everyone moved on and activity dwindled down. With six months of no activity at last year’s end (and a couple of autopsy posts after the fact just to see if anyone still cared), I finally gave SRS a proper eulogy. It’s sad that it came to an end. Hopefully, it will come back as a hologram one day.

. ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁˖ . ( starter call ) - I've been just seriously feeling supernatural au so ♡ for a starter for one of my muses with a supernatural verse listed below ! I used to have this whole au sn!verse option so we can use that or take things in another direction. will shoot you a message to clarify muses and things ! ♡
I've always had this lil sn!verse set in like a dark academia university for sn kind of thing... think wednesday or the witch school sabrina went to in caos vibes. I used to advertise this verse a lot more years ago & I miss it n' feel super musey for it.
if you're interested in supernatural things outside this setting I'm totally okay with that too !!
st. cuorem's university
hidden deep in a misty forest in oregon, st. cruorem’s university serves as a sanctuary of arcane knowledge and supernatural prowess. outwardly, it masquerades as an elite private school for the wealthy, but beneath this facade lies a realm steeped in dark academia and ancient secrets. its sprawling campus, a blend of gothic architecture and enchanted landscapes, boasts ivy-clad stone buildings, towering spires, and grand archways adorned with intricate carvings of mythical beings. the grounds, perpetually shrouded in twilight, hum with magical energy and the scent of pine. inside, dimly lit corridors resonate with the whispers of centuries-old incantations and the soft rustling of ancient tomes. flickering candlelight casts elongated shadows on walls adorned with portraits of past luminaries, their eyes seemingly alive with hidden knowledge. the library, an expansive labyrinth of texts, houses volumes from alchemical treatises to forbidden grimoires. the student body is a diverse assembly of supernatural beings, from vampires and witches to werewolves and more enigmatic creatures, each honing their unique abilities. rigorous training occurs in hidden chambers and expansive, enchanted arenas where students practice spellcasting, combat, and mastery of their inherent powers. st. cruorem’s is not just a school; it’s a who's who of the supernatural world. the social hierarchy here is fierce and competitive, with the elite vying for prominence in a world where power is everything. ancient lineages of vampire royalty, demon nobles, and other powerful entities create an environment of intense rivalry and elitism. secret societies and ancient orders vie for influence, their clandestine gatherings adding to the campus's air of mystery. for those who see beyond its facade, st. cruorem’s is a proving ground where alliances are forged, rivalries ignited, and the future leaders of the supernatural world are shaped.

for my Arizona folks - AZ Representative Analise Ortiz has put together a kick-ass little quick reference voting guide (source)
TL;DR vote YES on AZ PROP 139 to protect reproductive rights/abortion, YES on the 400-level props which are all county/city specific, and NO on every other state-level proposition.
NO on 137 is especially important as, if it passes, it would retroactively protect judges who reinstated AZ's 150 year old abortion ban from being held accountable and voted out - by nullifying the results of their retention votes in this election and turning their position into a lifetime appointment!
Details on every prop are from the site linked above are copied below the cut, including why you should vote yes or no, if you want to read in-app.
Statewide Propositions
Prop. 133-VOTE NO
What it does: Requires taxpayers to fund primary elections and prevents nonpartisan primaries in State and Federal races.
Why a "no" vote? Prop. 133 is a Republican-backed attempt to stop any potential changes to the primary system. It would require taxpayers to pay for the primaries of all major parties and it gives the legislature more control over what is on our ballot.
Prop. 134-VOTE NO
What it does: Requires signatures from a certain percentage of qualified electors in each legislative district, rather than in the state as a whole, to propose an amendment to the Arizona Constitution or to propose a statewide initiative or referendum.
Why a "no" vote? Prop. 134 will make it extremely challenge to put popular citizen ballot initiatives, like the Arizona Abortion Access Act, on the ballot. It will allow any single legislative district to decide for everyone whether an issue can be put up to a vote, even if a majority of Arizonans want it.
Prop. 135-VOTE NO
What it does: Restricts the governor’s ability to declare a state of emergency
Why a "no" vote? Prop 135 is another Republican attempt to limit Gov. Katie Hobbs' power because they don’t like that she’s a Democrat. Arizonans trust Gov. Hobbs to lead our state through times of emergencies and crisis. That’s why the majority of Arizonans voted for her.
Prop. 136-VOTE NO
What it does: Allows a citizens’ ballot initiative to be challenged in court before it even files signatures.
Why a "no" vote? Prop. 136 is another case of Republicans changing the rules of the game when they start to lose. This measure opens the door for wealthy special interests to stop a citizens’ initiative they don’t like before voters even have a chance to put it on the ballot.
Prop. 137-VOTE NO
What it does: Takes away voters ability to reject bad judges
Why a "no" vote? Prop. 137 will end most of Arizona’s judicial retention elections, effectively giving judges lifetime appointments. It is retroactive, meaning if voters reject judges this November but fail to kill Prop. 137, those judges will get to keep their jobs. This includes Justices Clint Bolick and Kathryn King, two of the Arizona Supreme Court judges who voted to uphold the 1864 total ban on abortion and are facing a retention election this year.
Prop. 138-VOTE NO
What it does: Allows for tipped workers to be paid 25% less per hour than the minimum wage.
Why a "no" vote? Under current state law, employers can pay tipped workers less than minimum wage as long as they make enough in tips to make up the difference. Prop. 138 changes the mathematical formula that calculates the tipped minimum wage so workers will make 59 cents less per hour. Over time, the gap between the tipped and non-tipped minimum wage will grow. This is bad for workers and good for corporate profits.
Prop. 139-VOTE YES
What it does: Enshrines a fundamental right to abortion in the Arizona State Constitution
Why a "yes" vote? Prop. 139 restores the protections to abortion access that we had under Roe v. Wade. Regardless of how someone personally feels about abortion, women’s health and safety is endangered under Arizona’s dangerous abortion ban. These personal, private decisions about pregnancy should be left up to a woman, her family, and her doctor, not politicians and judges.
Prop. 140-VOTE NO
What it does: Eliminates partisan primaries by amending the Arizona Constitution to require every candidate to run against every other candidate in a primary.
Why a "no" vote? Prop. 140 is an attempt to change the rules of the game now that Democrats are gaining more political power across Arizona.
Prop. 311-VOTE NO
What it does: Requires Arizona to pay the sum of $250,000 to the surviving spouse or dependent of a first responder killed in the line of duty and establishes a penalty fee on every criminal conviction for the purpose of providing funding for the death benefit.
Why a "no" vote? Adds an unnecessary and inequitable fee to people impacted by the criminal legal system who face disproportionate financial challenges. Families of law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty already receive a payment and tuition support under a federal program and a lifetime salary under the state pension system.
Prop. 312-VOTE NO
What it does: Allows property owners to apply for a refund on their property taxes if they spent money to mitigate problems caused by homeless encampments near their property
Why a "no" vote? Prop. 312 will drain limited resources that cities need to combat violent crime, reduce homelessness and improve safety in our streets. Rather than solving the root causes of homelessness, Prop. 312 will make the problem worse.
Prop. 313-VOTE NO
What it does: Requires an adult who is convicted of a class 2 felony for any child sex trafficking offense to be sentenced to natural life imprisonment without eligibility for any form of release.
Why a "no" vote? Prop. 313 has no exceptions for victims of sex trafficking who are coerced into crime. It will further traumatize victims of horrific violent crimes and gives them no opportunity for rehabilitation, mental health treatment, or leniency. It takes away a judge’s ability to choose a punishment that best fits the crime.
Prop. 314-VOTE NO
What it does: Legalizes racial profiling by allowing local law enforcement to arrest people they suspect of crossing the border outside of official ports of entry. Allows local judges to issue deportation orders without due process. Makes it a crime to submit false paperwork to an employer or agency that provides public benefits.
Why a "no" vote? Prop. 314 is an attempt to revive unconstitutional border policies that would hurt businesses, lead to family separation, and cost taxpayers millions in civil rights lawsuits—all while doing nothing to actually secure our border.
Prop. 315-VOTE NO
What it does: Prohibits any new statewide rule proposed by state agencies from becoming effective if the estimated cost associated with it is anticipated to be more than $500,000 within five years.
Why a "no" vote? Prop 315 is another attempt by the Republican-controlled legislature to limit power of state agencies because they don’t like that Department heads have been appointed by a Democrat governor. It will restrict state agencies from being able to adapt to emergent needs and rapidly evolving fields, like medicine and tech.
Maricopa County Only
Prop. 479-VOTE YES
What it does: Continues an existing, half-cent sales tax to fund transportation projects.
Why a "yes" vote? Prop 479 will provide much-needed updates to Maricopa County highways, streets, and transportation systems to reduce commute times, improve public transit, and make streets safer.
Prop. 486-VOTE YES
What it does: Permanently adjusts the base on which the Maricopa Community College expenditure limit is calculated to continue supporting students across Maricopa County with flexible high-quality and affordable education.
Why a "yes" vote? Prop 486 will provide a much-needed update to the community colleges funding formula that will not raise taxes. A lot of things have changed in the past 44 years, including the expenses of delivering current academic services and infrastructures associated with the high-impact workforce development programs that meet critical needs for Arizona’s economy.
Phoenix Only
Prop. 487-VOTE YES
What it does: Asks Phoenix voters to set the city’s spending limit to be equal to the annual budget, rather than a state-imposed formula that would limit city spending at an equivalent to the FY 1980 level.
Why a "yes" vote? Prop. 487 is voted on every four years and ensures Phoenix has the money needed to fund community needs, like parks and libraries.
Prop. 488-VOTE YES
What it does: Asks Phoenix voters to approve the City of Phoenix General Plan.
Why a "yes" vote? Prop. 488 will approve the General Plan which includes the city's plans for future development and growth.
Prop. 489-VOTE YES
What it does: Asks Phoenix voters to raise council member salary to $77,000 and mayor salary to $103,840.
Why a "yes" vote? When elected officials are not paid a living wage, the pool of candidates running for office is severely limited to those who are independently wealthy, retired, or have sources of passive income. We need more representation of working class people on the City Council, and in order to achieve this, we must ensure working class people can afford to run and serve on council.
Glendale Only
Prop. 499-VOTE YES
What it does: Establishes a minimum wage of $20 per hour for workers at hotels and event centers in Glendale. This amounts to about $40,000 a year for a full-time worker.
Why a "yes" vote? Prop 499 would prioritize Glendale hotel workers and the local economy over out-of-state corporations.
Phoenix City Council Candidates District 7-Anna Hernandez District 5-Betty Guardado District 3-Ayensa Millan

My favorite bits:
Cinderella and Aurora's beautiful harmonies
all the smaller groups entering to converge at the tree
the instrumentation confirming that 🔔 ♫ "bells ring" ♫ 🔔
Merida's commitment to the buffet table
the group of cloistered nerd girls – Ariel, Rapunzel, and Jasmine – writing out holiday cards together
Moana being captivated by the snow through the window
the spellcasters speaking in rhyme
"Only one thing to do now… HEEELP!"
Elsa and Anna decisively leaping into action
Cinderella passing the time and keeping everyone's spirits up with the story
the chastising poke Aurora gives Merida in response to her repeated grumbling
Snow White's continuing apple aversion
the lovely vibratto in Cinderella's solo verse
all of the princesses gathering on the balcony as they sing
Moana's lovely final line
Trivia:
More than a year had passed between the release of the first and second episodes of this series. As Tony and Layne mentioned on their Q&A livestream the previous April, coordinating the schedules of that many cast members is tricky at best.
In the interim, many of the ladies had appeared in PattyCake's version of "Girls Like You" by Maroon 5, and a few were featured in the Villains Lair crossover episode that introduced Megara.
Hannah had played a few background characters and provided vocals for featured characters in the "Unexpected Musicals" series, but playing Charlotte is her first time acting in a named role on screen in a PattyCake project.
The storytime art was created by Tony and their regular collaborator Leon King.
If you watch closely during the wishing star exposition, you can see the boom mic operator reflected in the window behind Rapunzel and Jasmine.
Cassandra borrowed the Belle gown for a cosplay photo shoot two years later.
