Charlotte Morris, Merlin’s Costume Designer, had a small gallery for Merlin on her website (charlotte-morris.co.uk). As the website was done in Flash, is no more accessible unless you manage to get the Flash plugin to work again on your browser (which I did). Most of the pics are already out there since years, and in a bigger resolution or better colors. These are the others.

BBC Merlin Re-Watch Season 3

This has been and will always be my favorite season of the show. Let all of Morgana’s infamous evil looks commence! 

No seriously, Katie McGrath really had that cunning look down to an art.

The tension between Morgana and Merlin. To think Merlin believed her when she said she was not mad. 

I forgot how absolutely hilarious the goblin episode is, but OH MY GOD. I was howling. 

Gwaine. This man. I would do anything for this man. 

Really though, his episode is my favorite of this season and the show as a whole. I love how this episode chooses to look at the duplicity of those in nobility, versus those who are ordinary people, and how people are not what you think they are at face value. I love how Gwaine is just kind of this regular guy who is so inconsequential to everyone around him but really has a heart of gold. He is the last guy you would think noble, but he is. This knight is my one and only obsession from this show. And I still adore him. 

The Merlin v. Morgana shenanigans. Let me tell you, it really holds this season together. 

The Eye of the Pheonix is my favorite episode this season. Of course, Gwaine is back :) I love the quest aspect, the trio of Arhtur/Merlin/Gwaine, and them working together(kinda). I also really enjoy how the Fisher King was done, and Merlin’s scene with him. There is just something timeless about the episode, in that true Arthurian story way. 

Guias and his old flame. To be honest, I really did not care this go around.

Old Merlin!!!!!!!!!!!!! The literal best thing about this show was when they decided to make Colin Morgan an old man. These are just the facts. 

Is there a Merlin x Gilli ship? Cause I think this was a missed opportunity. 

This whole season has the most of an Arthurian feel to it as a whole, and the last two episodes really pack it in. The cup of life, the round table, the sword in the stone. Freya appearing to tell Merlin of the sword I have always loved. The official knighting of the Knights of Camelot. Them sitting around the round table. It gave me all the feels. And the last scene of Merlin place Excalibur in the stone just had me nostalgic. This show just had a magic to it that cannot be replicated.

10 Celebrity Crushes

I was tagged by @annibunnysworld (on my main, but I prefered to do it here), thank you so much! I have lots of celebrity crushes, so it was hard to choose just ten and it took forever to make up my mind. Here are a few that I adore and have liked for a long time:

Colin Morgan

Ever since I watched Merlin I fell in love with Colin. I think he’s humble, kind, hardworking, passionate and on top of all a great actor and very good looking! What’s there not to love? He also has a beautiful voice to go well with those amazing blue eyes 😍

Keanu Reeves

Keanu is so attractive, omg. He was attractive when he was young (especially in Point Break and Speed) and he’s attractive now in John Wick and in general. He’s such an amazing person from what I keep hearing, that has gone through so much trauma and pain and despite it all he continues to be kinder and kinder. Even if you don’t find him attractive, how can you not love Keanu Reeves?

Chris Evans

I got a crush on Chris when I watched Fantastic Four, but then he played Steve Rogers and not only made that crush come back much stronger, but he gave me one of my favorite characters. Chris is such a nice guy from what we see in interviews and such, he’s a great actor and I just think he’s adorable.

Joey Batey

I suppose he must have flaws as he’s (allegedly, he might be an actual angel) human, but I really can’t see them. He looks like a sweetheart, is a good actor, a talented musician and is so attractive in every way. It’s been around two years since I discovered him with The Witcher and I’m still very much in love with him, with Jaskier, with The Amazing Devil and with everything Joey Batey.

Madeleine Hyland

(GIF) // Much like Joey, I doubt Madeleine is human as she’s either another angel or a fae queen or something, she’s too powerful. Not only is she absolutely gorgeous, but her voice and talent and range and ugh! I really want to see her act because I know that’s another thing she’s good at.

Katie McGrath

Morgana, am I right? I immediately loved her in Merlin and the more I saw of Katie the more I fell in love. She’s so sweet and so cute? I really like watching her in anything (loved her as Lena in Supergirl) and I in fact adore Katie so much that she’s the face-claim for one of my most beloved OCs, Nissa. Katie is just a queen.

Max Mittelman

I’m so sad that not many people know who he is because I have the biggest crush on him and he’s amazing and he deserves more recognition. That cutie is Max Mittelman aka Saitama (One Punch Man) aka Ryuji (Persona 5) aka Tredd Furia (Final Fantasy XV) and a bunch of others. He’s my favorite English voice actor and one of my favorite people ever. It’s funny because I got to know him through Robbie Daymond, who plays Prompto in FFXV and who I learned made vlogs with his friends, one of which was Max and the other was Ray Chase (Noctis in FFXV) and their vlogs are one of the most fun and comforting things for me ever and I’ve watched them so many times I know them by heart but I still adore them. Max is just adorable, hilarious and such a passionate and talented voice actor. 

Jordan Fisher

It might be that John Ambrose McClaren made me fall in love, but I’m crazy about Jordan Fisher. His soft voice, his tender eyes, his gorgeous smile, his sweet personality, aaaah! I also recently found out he plays Matt in Until Dawn? Damn, this boy is so talented!

Ewan McGregor

I have always loved Ewan McGregor and have seen almost everything he’s made (except for Trainspotting and a few other things I don’t like) and he’s one of my favorite actors, but he’s also so attractive to me? Damn, I’m super excited for the Obi-Wan show!

Johyn Boyega

This poor man deserved the world and Disney / Star Wars made him so dirty. He’s clearly a passionate person, a good actor and probably the sweetest guy ever. I just adored Finn and I wished he got more to do in the sequels, not only because the character was interesting enough to deserve a better arc, but because John deserved the spotlight, dammit!

Merlin 3x08 “The Eye of the Phoenix” Highlights:

You know that when the episode starts with shirtless Arthur, you’re in for a good time

Oh look, his boyfriend and girlfriend are spying on him

Merlin: “He has to decide upon a quest.” – Gwen: “Crouching on his knees all night is going to help?” (Oh, Gwen, you have no idea how much thinking he does on his knees if the fanfiction is to be believed)

Uther low-key being like “Are you suuuuure you don’t want to pick something easier, kid?” and Arthur being like “No. This fits my ‘I have no regard for my own safety’ aesthetic.”

Merlin is a nervous eater and Gaius seems to take great joy in pointing it out every time it happens

Merlin with hiccups is adorable. Arthur being super annoyed at the hiccups is even more adorable

Morgause, the master of disguise and all kinds of shady shit, looking somehow like both the before and after pictures from an anti-wrinkle cream advert

I feel like I say this most episodes, but Katie McGrath and Angel Coulbey are honestly some of the most beautiful women in the world and we are blessed to have so much of them in this show

Arthur’s bracelet setting off Merlin’s magical heebie-jeebies and his misgivings doubling when he hears that it was Morgana that gave it to him

The further breakdown of Gwen and Morgana’s relationship is so tragic. Gwen looks so hurt when Morgana yells at her to get out

Merlin’s first instinct when he hears that he needs to have help on his quest is to find Gwaine and honestly? Valid

Gwaine’s smile when he sees Merlin and the way he tries to play it off casually like he isn’t thrilled that Merlin came looking for him specially

(Y’all, Gwaine is in love with Merlin and you can’t convince me otherwise)

The whole sequence where the two of them run away from the guys chasing Gwaine is just delightful

Gwaine’s hair, man. Just Gwaine’s hair

Ughghgh Gwaine is just so bouncy and joyful every time he gets to hang out with Merlin and I love it

The whole courage/strength/magic is a great way to classify your OT3s. I hope it catches on

LISTEN, not to be Merwaine on main, but holy shit is there a lot of flirty banter between the two of them this episode

Morgana being the absolute worst kind of Manipulative bitch playing with Gwen’s emotions like that

This eye of the phoenix thing is properly terrifying

Gwaine gesturing that he’ll go scout ahead, and that Merlin should stay put. Merlin immediately walking off

Merlin: “Why do you want to do this?” – Gwaine: “Same reason as you. Help a friend.” – Merlin: “Oh. Arthur’s lucky to have us.” – Gwaine: (with a small smile) “Not Arthur.” (THEN A NICE LONG BIT OF SILENT EYE CONTACT) – Merlin: “I’d do the same for you.” – Gwaine: “Yeah, I hope so. You’re the only friend I’ve got.” – Merlin: (teasing) “I’m not surprised.”

Listen y’all, their relationship is so sweet and pure. I love them so much.

Arthur all floppy and weakened by the phoenix eye bracelet is literally just me trying to get up in the morning

Was Eoin Macken contractually obligated to have the top of his shirt undone and his hair blowing in the breeze most scenes? Because if so that was a good decision by the show runners

Gwaine being all like “they’re creatures of magic so be careful” to Merlin about the wyverns even though Merlin’s kind of their dad now

The wyverns reacting to Merlin’s scolding the exact way my dog does when I tell him off

Arthur rolling his eyes when he realises Merlin brought Gwaine and Gwaine grimacing like he’s wondering why they’re even bothering to help Arthur in the first place

Both of Merlin’s boyfriends being very concerned when they get separated from him

The “princess” that launched a thousand fanfic interactions between Gwaine and Arthur

I will never stop being salty about how the Avalon lake water was used later in the series, but I’ll rant about that when I get there

This whole scene between Merlin and the Fisher King is really wonderful and the acting is amazing

Arthur’s unceremonious roly-poly into the room

AAAAH GWAINE’S LITTLE HUG BECAUSE HE’S RELIEVED TO SEE THAT MERLIN IS ALRIGHT AFTER BEING SEPARATED FROM THEM

God this is so difficult, basically every character I adore is a woman

1. Hecate Hardbroom- The Worst Witch: How could I not? I love this useless lesbian.

2. Missy (The Master)- Doctor Who: This was a toughy because I had a massive crush on River and there are so many amazing ladies in Doctor Who (Kate I’m looking at you) but I couldn’t go past my precious, murderous baby and her killer cheekbones  (and I just adore Michelle Gomez)

3. Phryne Fisher- Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries: If anyone hasn’t watched this show I highly recommend it and Miss Fisher is a fabulous heroine

4. Dorothea Ames- Class: Okay so I really love Miss Quill but Dorothea jesus she’s got to be my favourite. I got incredibly attached to this nerdy, shady lesbian and got so angry when a bloody Weeping Angel snapped her neck. (I will be sustained by fanfiction to attempt to get over it)

5. Abby Griffin- the 100: This one is my newest discovery, I haven’t finished watching it’s awesome and I kind of surprised myself when I fixated on Kabby rather than Clexa but what can you do?

6. Bellatrix Lestrange- Harry Potter: I know she’s deranged but I’m a sucker for a badass female villain, I also like Ginny but my fondness for her is constructed more around headcanons and fanfiction than her actual character.

7. Morticia Addams- The Addams Family: Probably obvious by the picture I just drew but what can you say? The whole show is great and Morticia and Gomez probably have the healthiest and most loving relationship I’ve ever seen and any woman who solely wears black is one after my heart.

8. Morgana Pendragon- Merlin: Basically the same deal as for Bellatrix and how was I expected to deal with a smirking Katie Mcgrath?

9. Bernie Wolfe- Holby City: Confession time I haven’t watched a full episode of Holby but I have watched all of her scenes and if I can’t have Kate Stewart (who I probably actually like more) I’ll have Bernie.

10. Dr Linda Martin- Lucifer: I don’t really go here anymore but I love Linda she’s caring and warm but still sharp and strong.

So what has everyone learnt from this? That I’m a thirsty lesbian with a massive weakness for high cheek-boned brunettes.
