i forgot abt this account, hi, how ya doin?

anyway, since i haven't talked much abt the characters from the book i'm currently writing (apart from it's vibes and that the main character is named Maisie) so here ya go :)

Maisie - she tries to be the sarcastic kind of funny but she can't take herself seriously under any circumstances. her sense of humor is very tumblr-esque and stupid, but no matter what it is very easy to make her laugh, but she's not extremely funny herself.

Ember - i guess they would like dark humor?? they're not very funny in the book bcs they're mostly there for emotional support and being apart of the Maisie Protection Squad (trademark)

Benji - reaction memes/"i'm so hot" jokes, his humor is pretty stupid and most of the time he's funny on accident bcs he has two braincells but it's okay cause we love him <33

Emory - his sense of humor mostly consists of sex jokes that Maisie does not understand, not because she's "pure" or "innocent cinnamon roll UwU" but bcs she's stupid.

Katie - She tends to laugh at her own jokes before she says them, and she can also roast the shit out of you. like the kinds of things she finds funny are weird, but the jokes she tells are top-notch

Emmie - facebook mom memes, like minion memes. she does not tell anyone that she unironically finds them funny, but Maisie and Katie know and brutally make fun of them.

Kat - those poorly edited memes of anime girls saying cursed shit.

Max - just states weird facts and everyone takes it as them joking but receives texts on a daily basis shouting at them like "WTF THAT WAS TRUE???"

who gives the other advice/comfort about dating issues: ava. 1000%. she doesn’t need any advice of her own anymore (and even when she did, she wouldn’t have admitted it.) jasper is Bad with Feelings and always makes poor choices.

Which one is the responsible one and which is known to be reckless? How do they deal with situations the reckless get caught up in? Neither one of them are all that reckless. A little on the innocent side, sure, not really reckless. 

Any personal memes or jokes in between them? So many. Most of which center around movies and food.

Is any of them prone to throw around compliments like a breeze? How does the other react? Kat loves to compliment people tbh.

Who likes hugs and connection the most?  Both pretty equally. Benji’s half werewolf and Kat’s married to Eros so

How about endearing or ridiculous nicknames? Is there a story behind them? They don’t actually have nicknames for each other, which is surprising.

Do they trust each other with deep secrets and thoughts? They tell each other EVERYTHING

Do they share a deep secret together? Not really. 

Who would win in a roast? How about a prank war? They would never. Too sweet and precious. But, if they did, probably Benji

How do they show each other support? (Heartbreaks, loss, dreams, achievements, etc.) Movies, a fuck ton of food, snuggles

What would a typical hangout look like? Do they share some common activities? It looks like the entire army is being fed between the two of them and Kat is usually upside down on the couch while they watch movies.

If they do not already live together, what would their lives as roommates look like? Do they split chores or is one more prone to take control whilst the other slack around? That...would be a disaster. Kat’s gotten better since becoming a mom, but she’s still pretty clueless and so is Benji

Would they ever adopt a pet together? If yes, what kind? Nah, they probably wouldn’t even be able to handle a gold fish without someone else there.

If either suddenly found themselves caring for a child but lacked the support to properly aid for them, how would the other react, or chose to deal with the situation? Kat’s extended family and Simone would have to help

Meest aangename verrassing in 2019?: Dat ik een musical leuk vond. Ik was naar The Book of Mormon geweest en ik ben maximaal vermaakt. Dit betekent niet dat ik nu nog een keer naar een musical ga. Ik haat musicals.

Beste reis(spot) in 2019?: Mexico. Ik had de voorbereiding een beetje afgeraffeld omdat ik er last minute heen wilde en niet echt goed nagedacht had over hoe groot het daar eigenlijk is. Desalniettemin was het zo sick: hele dag lekker eten, supermooie natuur. De zee fauna daar is insane. Ik heb een walvis gezien! Vijf sterren, would go again. En ik was naar Estland? En Center Parks!

Het begint grappig en is gedurende de gehele show scherp op fun, maar ze komt met behoorlijk pittige real talk. Dice, Camera, Action. The Mandalorian is ook leuk (BABY YODA), alleen de derde aflevering is wel erg Disney. Oh en Stranger Things, Rick & Morty, Disenchantment.

Beste film(s) uit 2019?: Once upon a time in Hollywood en Ad Astra zijn de enige bioscoopfilms die me echt zijn bijgebleven. Netflix maakt ook steeds betere originals, Marriage Story bijvoorbeeld. Maar ze maken ook best veel troep. Ik kijk verder aan de lopende band films die ik al gezien heb, dus dat telt denk ik niet.

Beste documentaire uit 2019?: Mijn seks is stuk van Lize Korpershoek. Ik vind dat ze een voor haar ingewikkeld onderwerp en de struggles die ze daarin tegenkomt heel mooi en kwetsbaar heeft vastgelegd, inhoudelijk en visueel. Het had net zo goed een ander onderwerp kunnen zijn: ik vind het vooral knap en fijn dat iets wat iemand problemen oplevert op deze manier wat meer bespreekbaar wordt. Sommige mensen kunnen dat heel goed gebruiken, zodat ze misschien niet denken dat ze gek zijn, of iets alleen hoeven op te lossen. Niet iedereen is daarvoor goed uitgerust of vindingrijk genoeg. Sommige mensen hebben hier iets minder behoefte aan, ook goed en niet iedereen hoeft altijd maar alles te kijken en leuk te vinden. Ik ben in elk geval blij voor alle mensen die zich dankzij Lize gesterkt voelden in het idee dat hun gevoel mag bestaan en niet abnormaal is.

Beste boek uit 2019?: Ik ben niet ingetuned op book release FM, dus ik weet niet of ze van dit jaar zijn: hands down totaal intern ontploft van de Handmaid’s Tale. ZIEK goed verhaal, mooi geschreven en het einde is niet normaal. Ik heb de serie niet gezien, die schijnt ook heel goed te zijn. Philip Pullman heeft m’n favo trilogie geschreven (His Dark Materials) en dat gaat nu verder met een nieuwe trilogie The Book of Dust, daar heb ik net de eerste van uit. Ook nog gehuild om het boek van Alma Mathijssen (ik wil geen hond zijn), liefdesverdriet is echt een bitch.

Muzikale hoogtepunten uit 2019?: Een nieuwe koptelefoon. Dat Skepta en Adele aan het daten waren? Is dat waar?

Muzikale dieptepunten uit 2019?: Niet zozeer een dieptepunt, maar ik kom er maar niet uit wat ik van Jesus is King vindt. Zilvergespoten Kanye moet ik daar nog in meenemen. Ik sta open voor reacties.
