Even though I watched the Ramayan cartoon film when I was a kid, I didn't really research much about anyone other than Rama and Sita. I don't remember why, but recently when I went to utube and suddenly a Ramayan video was recommended to me.After watching it, I felt like watching an Indian series again after a long time.Then the story of Lakshman Urmila captured my attention. Omg After that, I watched five or six version of Ramayan series just to watch their story.

I can't even imagine how attached I am to those two characters. I'm constantly searching for Lakshmila story ;books, pdfs, and even ffs and reading them.Because of Lakshmila, I am also very attached to Adishesh aka Sheshnaag & Kasheer aka Nagalakshmi. Lying on the banks of River Jhelum with deep and mesmerizing valleys cascaded in sky scraping mountains and evergreen beauty, Srinagar blends together the tints of nature, beauty, harmony and romance. A Mughal fort, developed to its full size in the 19th century by an Afghan governor Atta Mohammad Khan around the atop Koh-i-Maran Hill(Hari Parbat) dominates the city. Sprawling southward from the base of the Hill, the old city is the nerve center of Srinagar, seldom seen by visitors its embodies the essence of Kashmir. It is a part of Kashmir’s most important commercial town. Boats have been a primary means of conveyance in Kashmir in the past. That is how the city formed around the banks of river Jhelum.

Over a dozen bridges span the river. Some important bridges providing a wonderful river view are Zero Bridge, Abdullah Bridge, Amira Kadal , Budshah Kadal, Habba Kadal, Fateh Kadal, Zaina Kadal, Ali Kadal, Nawa Kadal and Safa Kadal; Kadal being the Kashmiri word for bridge. The view from any of the City’s bridge is unmistakably Kashmiri. Old brick buildings line the banks. The distinctive pagoda-like roof of a mosque or a shrine enlivens the horizon.

In the waters of the river Jhelum, a straggling row of Doongas flank the edge. These boats with their shingles roofs are the forerunners of houseboats. A particular community lives in them. Formerly this community was associated with ferrying people, livestock and food grains along the river. The past still lingers in their lifestyles even if their occupations have changed.
