I see that the sword they gave you to empower yourself in the beginning was double-edged because when the time came, you’re gonna stab yourself with the same sword. Am I making sense right now? I also get the feeling that they’ll be defensive about their reputation and record? Like when they get called out on their immaturity, they’ll be defensive as fuck and claim that there’s no problem. I would not be surprised if they tried talking to you after reflection to apologize? But they might come across as immature about it and saying the wrong things.

This person was a mean girl. It’s giving mean girl energy. Maybe this is someone that’s really toxic in your family? Someone really immature. I have a feeling they stole money from you or like new opportunities regarding businesses or anything related to money. Yeah, this is a bitch (lol). I get the feeling that they are generally well-liked by the public or those who don’t know anything behind the scenes. Someone that’s like Regina George vibes. But they are a serial backstabber. I have a feeling this is someone in your close circle at a job or at school if not a family member. This thing that they stole from you, was something you worked hard for and was incredibly excited for. Maybe you were like a new person at this place as well. Oh, did they spread rumors about you? Maybe to someone you needed to prove yourself to? Because I think, to other people they kinda spread a rumor that you were lazy and careless so the opportunity went to them instead? But in reality, they are that lazy person. For some of you, this is a person you worked with in a team of 3 people and they just started talking shit about you to the other person. This is a money hungry person that’s addicted to fame. This project or concept that they stole from you will go to shit entirely because it isn’t theirs. I see them getting frustrated with the chaos of it all and the burden that they carry. They’ll feel like it isn’t going anywhere and they’re pissed off about it. They’ll also piss off the people they’re supposed to please. They might quit or leave to another place because things will go so wrong. Yeah, that’s their karma. They’ll be forced to pack up their things and leave. I see them being forced to go somewhere stricter where they’ll be under constant watch and it will feel stifling. In here, I see them being all “Damn, this is hard work” and feeling a semblance of guilt. I don’t think what they did to you was their first time stealing or taking credit if I’m being honest. If you have a lover, they’ll help you throughout this whole ordeal. If not, you’ll have another career option to choose from. You’ll feel like there’s no true winner to be honest. You might’ve liked watching them suffer for what they did to you but you still had to go through problems of your own so you kinda gave less and less of a shit as time went on? Now either you betrayed or you were betrayed; take it how it resonates because this same energy may have been carried in this lifetime as well. Nevertheless, let's look into your past lives first. Ah! Now I get it. In every lifetime, you two are fated to meet to heal this wound of betrayal. But you don't heal or forgive or choose self-love but rather keep betraying one another in every lifetime. In one lifetime you betrayed this person, and then in another they betrayed you. This way the roles just kept reversing. I feel that your ego was too big to accept your mistake in your past lives. Oh my pile 4. You've had so little time for love in your past lifetimes. You were so busy making the ends meet that you never truly got lucky enough to experience true love. You tried to understand love, maybe wrote something on it, but it was filled with sorrow. When people read your words, they cried because they could feel your pain, your loneliness. Your work life brought a lot of success to you but no love. Also, as you tried to understand love intellectually, you could never truly listen to the divine's wisdom on love. Some of you may even be good at psychology but bad at feeling things deeply. Surrender is something that you don't know how to do. The divine doesn't want you to give up on your pursuit of understanding love at all, though. Marinette may be miserable at the end of the fic, but what happened to her does not dwarf what she left for Adrien. With the baggage she left him, he would have ended up homeless, wondering which would kill him first between starvation, freezing to death, or even some crazed vigliantes who decided to get rid of him because they thought he was Hawkmoth’s accomplice. Marinette’s fate is bad, but at least she has a room, meals, and a chance to earn her living, and she’s safe from the people who hate her, which is way more than what Adrien would have had had the truth never been revealed. She’s less of a slave and more of an indentured servant.

As for Adrien, despite what the original fic would have you believe, his actions back then WERE childish immaturity. I’m not saying he wasn’t wrong, but he at least believed that everything would work out, and that Marinette would be okay in the end. But it’s clearly stated in the fic that Marinette’s actions were not the same as his, because she did them purely out of spite. And he says in Chapter 9 that he does want to help her to not repeat his mistakes, but there’s nothing he can do because this time everything the people are mad about is true.

Marinette’s actions didn’t stem from insensitivity and immaturity INSTEAD of malice, but from insensitivity and immaturity AS WELL AS malice. She let what she knew to be a dangerous criminal, capable of horrible things, to walk away free with millions of euros, enabling her to ruin who knows how many more innocent lives, just to spite Adrien for not being a better friend. Her trauma in KoL was bad, but at the end of the day, it was just some teenage drama, which she could have easily solved in other ways. She left Adrien to suffer for the rest of his life, woth irreversible damage, over some stupidity that he could have easily grown out of given time.

Marinette did all the same things Adrien did that supposedly earned him his punishment, and she did them on a much bigger scale, and for no real gain but instant vindication. Karmic Backlash is telling salters to put your money where your mouth is, because if Adrien really does deserve what happened to him because of what he did, than the same logic dictates that Marinette deserves the same if not worse, since she did the same things on a much bigger scale and for no reason but to get back at others for being dumb teenagers.
