Difference between karmic relationships and soulmate relationships

Karmic relationships are too overwhelming and people tend to lose themselves in these relationships. These are the relationships that make you doubt yourself , Trigger a lot of traumas. Karmic relationships are like forest fires, too passionate and overwhelming, but the fire dies down as soon as it starts. The person you're in a relationship with will trigger a lot of past traumas and sometimes make you feel unworthy of love. These are the relationships where you suddenly stop liking the things you used to love , you feel like a whole new person but deep down you know that person isn't the real you.

Soulmate relationships on the other hand make you feel worthy of love. You fall in love deeper with the things you love. You do feel like a whole new person but the more is more on the positive side. These are the relationships where you'll find yourself being more confident and accepting of yourself. The person you're in a relationship with will heal you and not hurt you. Marinette may be miserable at the end of the fic, but what happened to her does not dwarf what she left for Adrien. With the baggage she left him, he would have ended up homeless, wondering which would kill him first between starvation, freezing to death, or even some crazed vigliantes who decided to get rid of him because they thought he was Hawkmoth’s accomplice. Marinette’s fate is bad, but at least she has a room, meals, and a chance to earn her living, and she’s safe from the people who hate her, which is way more than what Adrien would have had had the truth never been revealed. She’s less of a slave and more of an indentured servant.

As for Adrien, despite what the original fic would have you believe, his actions back then WERE childish immaturity. I’m not saying he wasn’t wrong, but he at least believed that everything would work out, and that Marinette would be okay in the end. But it’s clearly stated in the fic that Marinette’s actions were not the same as his, because she did them purely out of spite. And he says in Chapter 9 that he does want to help her to not repeat his mistakes, but there’s nothing he can do because this time everything the people are mad about is true.

Marinette’s actions didn’t stem from insensitivity and immaturity INSTEAD of malice, but from insensitivity and immaturity AS WELL AS malice. She let what she knew to be a dangerous criminal, capable of horrible things, to walk away free with millions of euros, enabling her to ruin who knows how many more innocent lives, just to spite Adrien for not being a better friend. Her trauma in KoL was bad, but at the end of the day, it was just some teenage drama, which she could have easily solved in other ways. She left Adrien to suffer for the rest of his life, woth irreversible damage, over some stupidity that he could have easily grown out of given time.

Marinette did all the same things Adrien did that supposedly earned him his punishment, and she did them on a much bigger scale, and for no real gain but instant vindication. Karmic Backlash is telling salters to put your money where your mouth is, because if Adrien really does deserve what happened to him because of what he did, than the same logic dictates that Marinette deserves the same if not worse, since she did the same things on a much bigger scale and for no reason but to get back at others for being dumb teenagers.

The lessons you’re learning in love right now pertain to aspects of your shadow that have been keeping you stagnant for a long time now. Negative thoughts, self-imposed restrictions like behaviors and mindsets that keep you from receiving things you truly deserve, self-imprisonment, and even potentially a victim mentality where you may choose to ignore the truth when met with conflict and make yourself seem like the person in relationships whose being mistreated or burdened when in reality you’ve fallen short or have villainized your partner to make yourself feel safer. I’m hearing when criticized or when something is brought to your attention you may tend to fall into a habit of defending yourself, defending your behaviors, and even using your knowledge or ability to communicate to try and push others into thinking that they were wrong or that they’ve wronged you so you don’t have to feel vulnerable or take true accountability for your actions.

If this is true for you I do see a large amount of this behavior not being behavior that’s meant to be malicious or bring harm to others but that’s been adopted out of trauma and a desire to be seen and heard or even validated and enabled as much as possible because this may have been something you went long periods without receiving within your life whether it came from a healthy or negative place here. I’m seeing someone being yelled at regardless of their making positive decisions, someone who didn’t get positive feedback and affirmation when they did do good things in their romantic relationships, in their platonic relationships, and with their relationships from a familial standpoint especially as a child.

There are lessons in the idea of you deserving more self-care or deserving more self-respect from your self here, giving yourself the freedom to have good things, giving yourself the freedom to serve yourself Justice so that other people can serve you, Justice, giving yourself the freedom to relax into the energy of receiving kindness and genuine love and respect from people who fully intend to give it to you and serve you compensation for heartbreak and loss. BUT i read this ask and i thought WOW WHAT A GOOD IDEA, a dick & tim reading guide, i wish i'd had one of those when i started reading!! and also i had a lot of work that i didn't want to do so i needed a project to procrastinate on dsfdsfs

so i have been working on a reading guide spreadsheet and it is ALMOST DONE so i will post it soon-ish. <3 if anyone wants to check out the unfinished version and tell me if it's readable dm me <3

also below i have rambled a lot about the makings of the spreadsheet if you also like spreadsheets a lot

this is only sort of tangentially related to the reading guide but it is the SECRET ORIGIN of the reading guide. i think many comic fans eventually end up with a spreadsheet story because comics are bonkers and difficult to keep track of, so either you sensibly engage with your hobby in a reasonable fashion or you slowly go bonkers yourself and end up with a spreadsheet story. this one is mine.

so a year or two ago, when i got first got deeply deeply obsessed with dick & tim, i was desperate for content and i wasn't able to find much on tumblr

so out of a combination of deep affection for the boys and also an extremely strong desire to procrastinate the things i was supposed to be doing, i went through dc.fandom's list of dick's appearances and of tim's appearances.

and i cross-referenced them all to find the comics they both appeared in, and then i started kinda randomly reading through those comics looking for good art/panels that they both appeared in and taking notes on whether they appeared in the same panel or not:

and then as i became even more obsessive i started adding in a bunch of their solo appearances so i'd know the context of their team-ups, and i started color-coding blue-for-nightwing, red-for-robin, purple-for-both-of-them:

and then i got tired of having to search for dc.fandom pages every time i wanted to check something in a comic, so i started adding links to dc.fandom and to dc universe:

and then i thought, you know, it'd be nice to have comic titles and to know if it's part of an ongoing story:

and sometimes when i was reading, i started taking notes on quotes or whatever was going on:

and that's about when i got this ask, and i thought, you know, i really should make a reading guide.

and i started thinking, okay, is there any way to take my spreadsheet and make it slightly less convoluted and a bit more like a reading guide?

and the answer was, probably not!!! but that did not stop me from trying sdfdsfds

so right now i have a spreadsheet called "Dick & Tim Reading List" and it's got a section that looks like this which has about 200 recommended-read comics:

anyway then i looked at all of that and thought ehhhhh okay but that's very complicated!! maybe i need some shorter reading recommendations. so then i started making a list of those:
