hate post under the cut! this is so petty and purely a form of stress relief bc it’s finals season and i need some unserious venting. do not engage if ur a fan of buckt*mmy :) thanks
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/2b682de3a8af898f9420b0b5fc27f026/352685fc0c8070a0-91/s640x960/e2d09da4547e28d6e982a0a57b6f5eaa6c3a69a9.jpg)
truly i have no words for this one. Girl what do you mean That Ship brought you so much joy you started watching 911 for them, and then stopped when they broke up? this isn’t like that egregious by their standards it just. it just boggles the brain.
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/d92f349e32b46fb86d564d493162a615/352685fc0c8070a0-e4/s540x810/3b4144e5936ea9dcb9a141a0659cb5714776b5bb.jpg)
why the fuck would chris meddle in this? these are grown ass men and he is a teenager who has a whole world of other problems, be serious. I also love how Those Shippers are so adamant that buck isn’t like that important or intertwined with Chris, up until they can use Chris as a plot point for their (bad) ship
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/d192df065218d71fe556cf4056519bab/352685fc0c8070a0-f7/s540x810/32db84a1541b2d3fb66943582004f223ac60b356.jpg)
okay so first of all—the 118 were never his friends. Like we gotta get that straight. He (can’t even say That Man bc that’s too ace attorney coded LOL) literally made chim & hens professional lives like, miserable? He was an active proponent of discomfort and harm and you think that the 118 is supposed to be on his side ever? no.
also like between Buck and Him, the 118 would never ever choose him. Like what the fuck does OP mean “the breakup has proven they aren’t his friends” as if there was something to disprove? There was no evidence suggesting that the 118 were his friends for that guy to even feel betrayed by. They just did not give a fuck about him.
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/9c53143bb16b1e3f3167671d752bb3c7/352685fc0c8070a0-46/s540x810/22a23cd6f46517163db8b3159a974715443daf52.jpg)
you’re just making him italian to give him a cute plot point italian grandma? Talk about making him more and more eddie coded… like we already have Abuela we don’t need another grandma who speaks a diff language and has cute little names for buck. like this is literally just ripping off of eddies character bc you have nothing better to give this cardboard man who is Eddie Lite in every other way as well. (sorry to OP not a dig on your actual writing, it’s just the eddie-ification of your blorbo that bothers me)
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/49792de6a114faf2750db577317e9a9f/352685fc0c8070a0-0b/s540x810/6a07b59b4cbd2a79dbe84c842cf2ed81a756193f.jpg)
WHAT IS YOU BITCHES OBSESSION WITH SAL? IF IM REMEMBERING CORRECTLY SAL WAS ALSO A WEIRD RACIST FREAK! are you weird and racist? is that why you’re obsessed with weird racists? grow up.
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/53ac9f553fd2e2d8f763f1055c7162b8/352685fc0c8070a0-65/s540x810/b97c45a49a040eb78a5e167416b4500758473afd.jpg)
GET BUCKS NAME OUT OF YOUR MOUTH how dare you suggest that a song could apply to buck & temu and also sal/temu? gross. ALSO see above for my criticism of sal & temu obsessed weirdos.
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/d13f85f6c243bbb49423cebff141979e/352685fc0c8070a0-7a/s540x810/f2d9e9b151588c5fe19e88c758d1aece9134b3d3.jpg)
so you think a racist, disrespectful clown is easier to stomach than someone having safe, sane, consensual sex? Like let me remind you—Temu was ridiculously paternalistic towards Buck all the time, and never respected him (first date, the way he talked about him to hen and karen) and is also canonically racist and misogynistic and also apparently has no remorse over the way he treated his beard or no respect for her as a human… and you think THAT is easier to stomach than a guy having casual sex? shows where your priorities lie.
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/e9b1138a2e339fbb0cfdb811bdff7308/352685fc0c8070a0-59/s540x810/28b31f33adddbda10130ca499ad417ce483ccd47.jpg)
GET MY GIRLS OUT OF YOUR MOUTH. he was so dismissive of their concerns in that deleted scene and u want more of those interactions? no baby. absolutely not.
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/f5276dc1226f77b385ed924712a9380c/352685fc0c8070a0-b8/s540x810/79b4e04177283af81ad1f4ef3549ffcddc89f1a7.jpg)
el em ef ay oh. that’s all.
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/0f0a09bd7809a537274290762c2c7e42/352685fc0c8070a0-1f/s540x810/0227ced5731a770426ef8f44155317fdb6f7ac67.jpg)
why the FUCK would he be involved, bffr. like practically, we know this is an athena plot. and also. DING DONG THE WITCH IS FUCKING DEAD and he’s not coming back. cope. seethe.
ugh i can’t add more images? okay i’ll just transcribe the post it’s short. basically it’s a snippet of a scene where Temu says “I’ve got your back”, because of course they have nothing better to do than steal from the buddie dynamic. like. that’s just embarassing.

Billy & Muse in the early days are so 'Superman' coded... I never realized that before.
"He puts papers in his briefcase and drives away / To save the world or go to work / It's the same thing to me"
It's his muse in the beginning before all the whole 'I hate you, we break up, you call me, I love you' shenanigans that ensue throughout the early days of the situationship (if you wanna even call it that/whatever ***That*** situation is called)
"I wonder if he knows how much that I miss him / I hang on every word you say"
Need I say more?
"Come back, I'll be with you someday / I'll be right here on the ground / When you come back down"
I feel like this can be taken as either when Billy leaves on tour and Muse stays behind for whatever reason.. or when Billy goes on a bender and the two fight, he tells her to leave, and eventually gets her to come back around when he's sober; gives 'when you come back down' a different meaning.
"He's complicated, he's irrational"
Poor tortured artist Billy :( (sarcasm) but since he has that duel complex of thinking he's some tortured artist but also the best fucking thing since sliced bread... and toss in his short fuse and well... complicated and irrational is he.
"'He's not all bad like his reputation' / And I can't hear one single word they say"
... so 'they' being Eddie... maybe Daisy too. But mainly Eddie. Mainly Eddie trying to convince her that Billy's no good for her (but simultaneously not being the best choice for her either—)
"And I watch you fly around the world / And I hope you don't save some other girl"
The heartbreak when Billy tells her for the first time that 'she's just some groupie' and that 'he has a lineup of girls who would be fine with just the bare minimum' and 'he's billy fucking dunne and she's just... a groupie'
And just that horrible horrible feeling Muse gets when she's away from him after he says those things to her because what if he really does 'save' some other girl after he kicks her out for a day or two...
But then here he comes with flowers and sweets and a half-assed verbal apology followed by make-up sex and...
Well, we know how the rest goes.
wait, you're so right
whatever is that he's doing is life altering for her, his music is life changing, he's an icon, so far above, and she's lost in the daze of it all. his songwriting, him playing the guitar, driving off to the studio before she started coming too. and he totally just starts consuming her thoughts from day one and then once she's got a taste she can't let go. every sweet thing he's ever said is engraved in her brain which is what makes it hurt so much more when he starts switching up.
yes!! he comes back down to reality, he sobers up and comes crawling back to her because he cares about her, he loves her, and he knows that when he's not letting the fame, the fear, take over. and it makes her realize he's much more than the rockstar she became infatuated with because he was endearing but also kind of an ass sometimes, but he can also fluctuate between being so caring to falling into a pit of ego. songs about not being enough (well thanks to daisy encouraging him to write that way) but then he's the shit and nobody can compare.
eddie, daisy, karen, her dad, I'm sure so many people have things to say about being in some sort of situationship with billy dunne. but she can't hear it when she knows at his best it just feels so right, so perfect.
okay and eventually she realizes there will always be groupies, but they're just sex to him (which makes the comments about that being her hurt more) but anyways when she's putting that aside it makes her feel more confident about her place, it's more than just physical. but god, when it's one of those rare times he's kicked her out instead of her leaving and then the thoughts of, 'what if he finds a new me? finds a new girl and then he won't need me anymore' and it's almost enough to make her call first (don't get me wrong there's a time or two when she does but that's for me to write about not in this blurb lmao) but then there's billy at her door and all those thoughts are shaken away because he's so sweet now. and the makeup sex would always be so good-
but we know the drill

SPOILER WARNING!!!!
My quick thoughts on the finale; The first half had me holding my breath. There where a lot of call backs to previous episodes/seasons. But just like the Love is in the air episode, the last 15 minutes where just off and a completely different vibe from what we got. It felt really rushed, and like we needed another episode basically.
Chimney and Maddie were perfect. The jokes that the 118 were making about the engagement where cute and endearing. I loved that Chimney was wearing his ring.
Hen and Karen also loved them. I’m so happy we got to see Karen and they are addressing the fact that they still foster children.
Bobby and Athena; the power couple of power couples. I’m really happy that she was apart of finding him, and really happy we ended with their relationship.
Buddie; going into this finale I knew they weren’t gonna be canon. But the beginning of the episode felt really buddie coded. The girl and her moms best friend sort of mirroring buddie. Buck saving Eddie similar to the shooting episode. If they wanted to they could have made them canon.
I really wish they would just keep them single if they don’t want to make buddie canon. Because Natalia and Marisol just feels off. We were recently introduced to the characters, and I’m sorry but I don’t really care about them.
Buck; As a character he has grown so much and you can really see that in this episode. I love that he played a huge leadership role and it was sort of a call back to when he wanted to be captain/needed to be seen as captain material. And now him taking on this role, when everyone else was down and giving the title to Hen as soon as she was awake, but still very much playing a leader role.
Eddie; I love this man. He’s so cute with out trying to be. Don’t get me wrong I hate that he’s paired with Marisol, but him being afraid and asking Christopher for help was so freaking cute. Actually Christopher stole the show when he made fun of his dad. I love their relationship so much.
Obviously there is a lot more I can say about this episode, I just don’t want to get into all the nuances right now. I’ll definitely end up watching it again. Probably catch a bunch of stuff I missed. I’m still very excited for season 7. I’m also looking forward to all the new edits/fan fics that will come from this episode alone.

welcome back to stranger things characters/ships as songs. this episode; GUTS !
all-american bitch - nancy. the battle between trying to be something society likes while still being a strong woman. she’s very much girl-next-door, americana-dream coded
bad idea right? - steddie. specifically used to be dating in secret steddie. this song just really reminds me of steve talking to robin getting ready to go hang out with eddie again after not talking for months
vampire - s2 stancy, from nancy’s pov. i adore steve, but he wasn’t a great boyfriend to nancy. in this season, she is so clearly struggling with barbs death and he just wanted to move on. “how’s the castle built of people you pretend to care about?” “i’ve made some real big mistakes, but you make the worst one look fine” nancy blames them for barbs death, the worst mistake, and steve is “making it look fine” by trying to just go back to normal. “every girl i ever talked to told me you were bad, bad news” “how do you lie without flinching?” and the dinner scene with barbs parents
lacy - ronance. nancy about seeing robin with steve, thinking she’s jealous that she gets to have steve, when in reality she’s falling for robin and jealous that steve gets to have her. i can also see this being from robins pov without the jealousy undertone.
ballad of a homeschool girl - el. just feeling awkward and like you don’t know what to do in social situations fits so well with growing up as an actual science experiment. plus, “everything i do is tragic, every guy i like is gay”
making the bed - will and el about mike. first half is will. “another thing i ruined i used to do for fun” and the dnd fight. “another conversation with nothing good to say” and the season 4 fight. “another day pretending i’m older than i am” “another perfect moment that doesn’t feel like mine” airport scene. “another thing i forced to be a sign” “push away all the people who know me the best” second verse is el. “my life feels so out of control” “i tell someone i love them just as a distraction. they tell me that they love me like i’m some tourist attraction” “i got the things i wanted, it’s just not as i imagined.” “i’m so tired of being the girl that i am. every good thing i have turns into something i dread”
logical - joyce and lonnie. i can also see max and billy if you ignore the romance love and make it a little sister loving her older brother, but i think joyce fits a bit better. i could also see maybe karen and ted
get him back! - steddie again. steve is just so teenage girl pop coded. but in my little used to be secretly dating au, this is very much right when he’s realizing he still has feelings for eddie
love is embarrassing - going right back to my steddie au. i might right a whole fic honestly. this would be from eddie’s perspective
the grudge - max about billy AND will about his dad. i desperately need people to dive into that dynamic more.
pretty isn’t pretty - honestly, robin is the closest i can find. or maybe a trans!stevie
teenage dream - nancy. it’s so nancy coded. the whole first verse is written in nancy’s diary.

I have so much opinions on the show. SPOILERS
1. I personally do not like Daisy. I didn’t like her in the book or the show, in the beginning I sympathized with her and did but as it continued I started to dislike her even more and more. See even though Billy is the one married to Camila, it’s something about Daisy betraying Camila that is worse to me. Billy ain’t ish, of course and I don’t like him either, but he’s already apart of their family u know? DAISY just got there, and CAMILA is the one who had daisy’s back. She sincerely welcomes Daisy and encourages her to come back to the party because she wants her there. She pushes Billy to let Daisy to join the band. Daisy herself says “he’s lucky to have you” and after all that…she still throws herself at Billy. And THEN gets mad that Billy brought Camila to the cover shoot as if that’s not his wife? AND THEN has the gall to walk up to Camila & Julia, smiling in their face, as if she wasn’t kissing and making eyes w her husband the day before. I mean, thats got to be one of the most appalling things I’ve watched in a while. Like daisy has no girl code whatsoever, and I can’t seem to understand how u can like her after doing that to Camila? Like Camila is literally mother, she looks after everyone and has everyone best interest at heart yet is getting betrayed over and over and over again.
2. I hate the fact that no one says anything to Camila about what Billy does behind her back. As if she doesn’t look out for everyone. As if they didn’t know her since Pittsburg. As if she wasn’t Karen & Graham #1 rooter. As if she wasn’t helping the band of the ground. Like wtf ? So much for being a family that looks out for each other.
3. Billy & Daisy have no romance whatsoever. They didn’t have it in the book and they don’t have it in the show. All they have is chemistry and passion, and I’ll forever stand on that. Also, when Daisy betrays Billy’s trust and tells the reporter about his past, something in told her in confidence, that was disgusting. Like that’s not love, you don’t do that to someone you love and she had no right. What’s crazy is that Camila is the one who suffered at the hands of Billy’s past, AND she never said that. So Daisy really had no right. And all because of what? Cause the reporter told her that Billy said it was an act? That she didn’t want to believe whatever was goin on between her and Billy was all in her head? Get over yourself, you have no claims to him as he has a whole family that she could’ve hurt.
4. I support Camila cheating w Eddie. Billy cheated on Camila multiple times and then again w Daisy. He neglects their marriage and lies to her and write stuff like the song “please”. Camila has to READ that herself that’s so heartbreaking. In the middle of the night, he’s up talking to Daisy. Billy literally isn’t appreciating what he has and acting as if he’s the only one who has needs. Like u don’t think Cami has needs too? Eddie in that moment and probably more, made Camila feel confident and loved again. Billy has been treating her like some old used cardigan and Eddie came and put her on like she was new again and I honestly loved that because she doesn’t deserve feeling like that.
5. I like both Graham and Karen and understand both characters. However, in the books and show Camila & Daisy both have that convo of Graham being more into her than Karen is in him. Karen know that and continues her relationship with her. I feel like Karen should’ve been more clear or cut that relationship off right then and there. Graham should’ve understood and considered Karen’s feelings about the pregnancy and not shame her and act as if he’s not the only one in pain.
I have way more to say but ima leave it at that.
You're so right in everything you said my dear anon. As I said in the other ask I got, you can always dm and I'll happily discuss everything about this show. I didn't mind daisy much in the book, sometimes i liked her, other times i didn't. in the show she's just boring. some of her actions annoyed me, but they also did in the book so that was on character.
idk what the writers were thinking when they made camila bring daisy to her house and make her feel part of the family. the whole 'she brought into her home the woman that was gonna steal everything from her' thing? HORRIBLE!! the moments in the book when camila welcomed daisy and was kind to her were beautiful, here, they only make daisy look like backstabber. and her whining about billy and camila was ridiculous in book and it's pathetic in the show.
no one in this show deserves camila's love. they're all bad friends. i hated the whole 'yeah maybe they were cheating, but they made good songs so it was ok'. FUCK THAT!! i understood when they didn't told her the first time. but this time someone should've at least called billy out, because it's not like they barely know camila and she's just billy significant other, they're her family. they are at her house ALL THE TIME!
my interpretation of book!d*aisybilly was that yeah, he liked her, but he was more enchanted with her and everything that she represented, because when billy reached his peak as an famous singer he was already sober so he could never live things like the others did. and also they understood each other in very deep ways because they were a lot alike. in the show it feels more like lust and necessity of adventure, idk, their scenes in the don't do anything for me.
but yeah, daisy exposing not only him, but camila and their daugther like that, in both book and the show, was a shitty move.
i have the same feelings about karen and graham, they always wanted different things, but closed their eyes to that, until things exploded on their faces.
edit because i forgot eddiecamila hdjhdjsh I LOVE THEM!! they're the best thing about this adaptation even if they only have 4 scenes together. it broke my heart how camila was holding back tears when eddie said he would always choose her. that woman was feeling unloved for so long :( the only thing i'm mad about is that we didn't got a kiss. #releasetheeddiecamilacut

911 rewatch thoughts:
Season 1
Episode 1: BABY BUCK
Is that why they call you firehose? 😂
Bobby’s we leave that at the door uh huh for now we do.
Athena called him cowboy 😭
Also where are Hen’s glasses?
Episode 2: The 🎢
DON’T YOU DARE TELL BUCK HE FAILED HIM.
I hope Buck’s therapist looses EVERYTHING. She is the ick 🤢🤢🤢
I love Athena too much, Michael is an ass and I want someone to smack him.
I think Abby was interesting the first watch through but I’m feeling very meh about her this time, like can we be done yet?
I miss Eddie 😩
I knew May had an attempt and I forgot it was in this episode 💔
Episode 3 - bounce house off the cliff
The winch is fun 💀
WHAT THE FUCK MICHAEL??? WHY DID HE COME IN THE HOSPITAL MICHAEL??
Momma Athena is FIERCE and I love her 😍
“This girl” Michael that’s your fucking daughter 🙄
Athena please use that left hand to smack that man ugh
Tatianna can go away now
Chimney IS a keeper but you very very much are not
Chim 😭
Bobby - let’s go it’s Chimney 😭
Bobby’s our job end right at these doors like always - ok Bobby tell me that a couple seasons from now Bobby
GO HEN!!
Why does Buck keep answering Abby’s phone calls when he’s on a call?? - I think Abby bugs me more than I thought ugh 🙄
I know it sucks but I’m glad Tatianna left, that kind of resentment sucks the life out of everything and I don’t think she’s a bad person. I mean it’s mean and she sucks but I don’t think it makes her a bad person.
Am I not loving Carla here or do I just want Chris and Eddie?
Am I not loving Carla here or is she just around Abby?
Hey Chim you can do the maneuver
It’s alright his family is right here 😭😭😭
Episode 4: the plane crash
Why did I think this was the golf club episode?? I’m gonna cry
Also why the fuck don’t people listen to flight attendants? And why do you think the bathroom is a safe place to be when landing?
Buck LEAVE THE BOOK ALONE.
Athena please don’t go anywhere near that girl - but I get it do what you gotta do
Buck I told you to leave, I know Bobby I’m a terrible listener ❤️
How did I miss that Bobby and the mom got pulled out by a helicopter? That was fucking cool!
I love you Annie and that’s not going to die even if I do today - ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME 😭😭😭
Abby this find this phone call acceptable.
Go Athena!!! I love you 😍 Angela Bassett is a certified bad ass!
Is there not some version of Hippa for first responders?
Bobby 😭 I don’t think I have enough tears for everyone 😭
Athena I think we both have issues asking for help…
Buck I’m gonna kick the door down. Hen no I have a key. Buck hasn’t even been there a year and he’s already Bobby’s important I’m getting to him now.
Nope I’m definitely loving Carla! I just miss the boys and Abby bothers me.
Episode 5 - the wedding crash
I should count how many times Buck does some sort of rope rescue
Ugh I forgot how much I hate Eva. She’s a walking mass destruction.
You’re right Hen she’s not your girl. I wish you would keep it that way.
Buck “I gotta fix it” Buckley - I feel like he doesn’t give himself enough credit for how smart and resourceful he is. Like yeah he’s a mid twenties dude and he’s gonna be a little dumb sometimes but he gets shit done and he takes care of people and he’s good at it. Someone needs to love and cuddle him real good.
What kind of money do you have to be making to be able to rent two apartments and be able to afford drugs and alcohol? That shits expensive.
Also watching this basically back to back as the story line with Amir really shows how far Bobby gets. I know he mentions it to the priest that the building wasn’t up to code but I don’t think he ever fully reconciles that with himself. He was a fucking mess and needed rehab and had issues but I don’t think he actually killed those people, the landlord did.
I don’t think Hen really understands how much Karen knows and sees. Also Hen wearing sunglasses keeps a separation between them. I think it’s a great way to have Hen see Karen while Hen tries to hide from Karen because Hen knows this is an issue and I think Hen also knows she’s gonna fuck up and she does.
The first time I watched I like the relationship between Buck and Abby and I do think in a lot of ways it’s a good growing relationship for him but I can’t get over how she leaves him and now their age difference BOTHERS me, he left existence bothers me.
I love Bobby and how much he loves Hen and Chim and Buck ❤️
Episode 6 - the one where Athena almost dies… the first time
Why do men do such stupid shit when trying to propose??? Nice job landing in the golf course though.
I love that Athena is already hanging out at the firehouse, but I’m not sure that she likes Abby.
This lady is fucking crazy. Like real crazy. I can’t watch this crazy shit imma skip most of this.
Bobby tying Bucks tie is very dad behavior and I love it.
The music in this show is amazing, there goes my heart for an organ transplant in Valentine’s Day (with a kidney transplant)
I feel like they were trying to get Abby more into hands on stuff but the audience didn’t love her. Like having her do an emergency tracheotomy on Buck, what. Like yes keep our boy alive but why was that necessary.
I know they had to have something happen to Athena for the drama of it all but I feel like even with all the family bs she has going on her instincts would have kept her out of the crazy lady situation.
Even when Abby is being good to Buck and saving his life I still can’t get past how she leaves him later and I just can’t like her.
Also their age difference bothers me, she’s 42 and he’s what 26? And at some point she says something about Buck being a boy toy but even here Buck is trying to be more than Buck 1.0 and he’s doing so good and I feel like she doesn’t actually want or appreciate that and I think he deserves a whole lot better.

Hey so I’ve seen you posting the supernatural/stranger things parallels and damn I didn’t realize there were so many. So thank you for pointing those out!! also I’m kind of curious do you think the st main characters would get along with spn main characters? Idk what seasons to base this off of but overall thinking about the main characters journeys. Like do you think the party/teens/adults from st would overall like team free will? Damn this is so open ended so like hopefully you don’t get confused by it! If you do just tell me to narrow it down or something! Have a great day/night!
Hmmm this is such an interesting question that could be approached in so many different ways. Short answer is I think they would like each other in a Self-Recognition Through The Other way. These guys are all massive dorks at heart and it's all about loving your (found) family and breaking cycles and challenging constructions of deviation/monstrosity/otherness. Long version is:
- A concept: ca 1985-87 John Winchester rolls into Hawkins with baby Sam and Dean in tow to investigate the Happenings. He tries to talk to Hopper the same way Murray did with similar results. Joyce/Hopper somehow find out that he's basically dragging his 2 small children along with him on a monster hunt and leaving them alone for extended periods and report him to the appropriate authorities. Joyce Byers in danger of adopting more children. (On that note I think Hopper and Bobby would make excellent friends. Hopper is basically if you combined Bobby Singer and Jody Mills into one person. Parental figure/adoptive parent, trauma over loss of a child).
- On another similar note I have a lot of feelings about the similarities/differences between Sam+Dean and Will+Jonathan. Parentification of older siblings and snarky queer-coded siblings and growing up in poverty and absent fathers whose presence is at least partially remediated by the presence of unconditionally loving/present parents/parental figures. Forming an identity around adherence/rebellion against that absent father vs. "you shouldn't like something just because people say you're supposed to". Healthy vs. Unhealthy sibling dynamics. Sam Winchester running away to college to escape his father vs. Jonathan Byers not going away for college bc he doesn't feel like he can leave his family.
- El and Cas and Jack would absolutely love each other so much. Just a bunch of Weird Girls (gn, affectionate) learning the intricacies of humanity/society while learning to see their value outside of their power. Finding out who they are and building a family that loves them for exactly that regardless of their usefulness. They would be best friends.
- Nancy "Unauthorized Investigative Journalism" Wheeler would LOVE Sam "So Get This" "The Lore" Winchester. She would become a hunter just so she could put on a little disguise and tag along for Monster of the Week.
- this is more of a rambling about thematic content but. Spn on the dichotomy of monstrosity/humanity (hunter/monster lifestyle vs. White Picket Fence) and ST as a commentary on forced conformity. What is "normal" and who is a "freak"? Who is the authority on the acceptable level of deviance? White picket fences that hide unhappy marriages. Ending up Just Like Your Parents. Characters who are desperate to live a normal life vs. characters who rebuke it. Finding a home in embracing your authentic self and slowly building a found family of people who love and understand you.
- on that note, Karen Wheeler meeting Mary Winchester would be. We don't have time to unpack ALL of that. Trapped in a life of normalcy to conform to what was expected of you vs. to rebel and escape the life expected of you. The baby is crying and your husband is asleep in his armchair. Is this your life? Who are you, really? I think it would break them.
- Dean "secret NerdDork" "besties with a lesbian supergeek" Winchester would vibe with stobin and eddie and the party so hard if they got him out of his shell.
I am accepting constructive criticism on this one so feel free to chime in

hi y’all are getting another taylor album as ST because it’s all i can think about at the moment. today, folklore!
the 1: stancy, from Steve’s perspective. specifically when he’s starting to move on (ignoring what happened in season 4 cause like… what?) or if you want some serious heartbreak, i’m a “steddie was friends in middle school” truther and if you listen to it like that…
cardigan: byler!!! mainly from Will’s perspective. you can’t convince me Will didn’t come home from his first playdate with Mike and tell Joyce he was gonna marry that boy. he knew this whole time he loved him, and Mike used to show him how much he loved him back
the last great american dynasty: steddie. steve’s family would see eddie as a bad influence and blame steve “being where he is” on eddie (reality; steve is happy and loved and just got a place with eddie and his family views it as a downgrade). the town would still hate eddie, and blame whatever they could on him. also the line about the neighbor makes me think of the Eddie Munson TikTok Saga and i can see eddie stealing a dog just to get back at someone being slightly rude to steve
exile: jopper. specifically Hopper seeing Joyce with Bob. Hopper saw her with Lonnie through high school, has loved her since then. He’s loved Joyce through multiple relationships, on both sides. they’ve lived this movie before
my tears ricochet: max and billy. max didn’t deserve any of the shit billy gave her. “i still talk to you when i’m screaming at the sky” “i can go anywhere i want, just not home”
mirrorball: STEVE! that poor boy has Brett Hand syndrome and doesn’t even know his favorite color. he fully picked his personality to get friends when he was younger and he’s finally learning how to tear that down. he still “performs,” to get people to like him though, like still trying to flirt with all the girls in season 3
seven: Ronance. specifically Robin. i just know that girl is deeply nostalgic for her early childhood and brings Nancy to her grandmas house one summer, going off on 30 minute stories about all her favorite traditions and stuff and then getting to her favorite playground, where Nancy tells her she went on a trip here one summer with her family years ago and befriended a little girl at the creek and spending the day running around like this. Robin realizes she was that little girl and the pretty girl with the long braid she’d been talking about was her now-girlfriend. i also think robin would love someone in such a soft way, like with a childlike-sense of adoration
august: elmax. they’re in love your honor and if the stupid upside down would have stayed quiet in season 3, they would have had the best summer ever. they would have sleepovers every night, switching between their places. snuck out to the mall when one gets grounded
this is me trying: nancy. this girl needs therapy. she’s dealing with so much. also, “my words shoot to kill when i’m mad” “i got wasted like all my potential” “i was so ahead of the curve, the curve became a sphere” “it’s hard to be at a party when i feel like an open wound” those are so nancy-coded
illicit affairs: steddie. them hiding it at first and then when eddie dies ends up in the hospital in a coma, steve sits at his grave hospital bed holding his hand, telling him how angry he is
invisible string: jancy. i think we as a fandom forget they likely grew up knowing each other pretty well. the way we see Joyce and Karen talking show us the families are close. it’s also not hard to imagine they’d be close with how close Mike and Will are. i think they’d have so many little things that ended up with them fitting together so well. also, i think them both being bi and the line “blues and that purple pink sky” is so funny
mad woman: Joyce. she’s painted to be the town-loon in season one. the town saw what they thought was a mother who just lost their child and decided she was crazy
epiphany: Hopper. that man lost so much and tries to just handle it by bottling it up. his ptsd from the war and all the upside down stuff, losing his daughter, the russian prison
betty: stancy, from Steve’s perspective after the movie incident
peace: Will and El (not a ship) “as long as danger’s near, and it’s just around the corner cause it lives in me” i just know these kids blame themselves for getting everyone involved in this (even though it’s not their fault) they’re able to find the solidarity in each other
hoax: platonic stobin. i think they definitely need to dive more into the dynamic now that their trauma bonded, but i think them switching off on being extra sad and the other taking care of them is extremely them
the lake: steddie, from eddie’s perspective. they get out of hawkins as soon as they can and live happily ever after
