Vet du hva, Kaptain Sabbeltann queer HCs fordi hvorfor ikke

-Sabbeltann er så klart aro/ace som sett ved at virker til å ha en fysisk reaksjons mot alt romantisk (lager spy lyder og siger æsj når nogen kysser f eks). Han er gift med havet og at jage gull og han er et ikon som ikke har tid eller lyst på slik. Kanskje ikke-binær? Har drag energi, men han bare er sånn

-Langemann er bi og har et crush på sabeltann. Han vet at det ikke blir til noe og klarer å vere profesjonell. Noen vil si at han er besatt av hans Kaptein og av og til lurer han selv om han er det. Rosa (tror jeg hun heter? Er for gammel) prøver å få ham til å se at han ikke trenger å sette Sabeltann øverst i alt, men Langemann’s respekt og lojalitet ligger dypt i ham. Han har lett ved å charmere både menn og damer og gjør det gjerne så fremt det ikke kommer i veien for jobben hans, men ofte gjør han det også for å få inn viktige informasjoner.

-Miriam er lesbisk. Jeg veit ikke hva mere jeg trenger å si.

-Pinky og Benjamin er trans menn begge to. Pinky er veldig optatt av å passe inn og bli sett som en ordentlig mann og sjørøver, mens Benjamin er veldig komfortabel i sig selv

Also, here’s another Norwegian pirate, sketched while listening to an upcoming episode of our podcast that has nothing to do with pirates whatsoever. I’ve been told his name is Langemann and he’s the captain’s right-hand man.

I guess I’m approaching this fandom sorta ass-backwards. First, I got randomly hooked on a couple of the songs while researching my lecture on Nordic musical theatre, then I got a briefing about the characters from a Norwegian friend, and now I’m just drawing them for the heck of it, with little intention of actually sitting down to watch any media with them or anything.

But whatever.

We’re still in the middle of a global pandemic the last time I checked, and I guess this is my preferred way of losing the last shreds of my mind I had left.

Goretober Day 2, Animals

There shouldn't have been anything out of the ordinary when he went on patrol. It wasn't a common occurrence, but there'd been numerous reports of a large animal sneaking along the forest-line and even making it's way into the town. So, of course, Langemann was sent to investigate.

He walks along the jungle, made slightly difficult by how it bleeds into the town, making the border muddled. Just beyond the lights of the town, the world turns black, a darkness he has never seen anywhere but here. All he has with him is his cutlass and an oil lamp, but that should be more than enough.

Nothing happens until he reaches the far end of the town, on the opposite side of the harbor from where most people live. It's a smaller, less lively part of Abra Harbor, with more jungle stretching into the streets.

So, of course, that's where he finds a hole in the foliage. It's been trampled, bushes and leaves flattened against the muddy ground. And that's when he realizes it must've been a hog; no other animals on Abra are clumsy or big enough to leave such a clear path. But even if it is a hog, it is an issue, and he has to either chase it off or get rid of it.

He lifts the oil lamp, pulls his cutlass, and follows the trail, slowly and quietly. One of the few times he's glad the biggest thing they have on Abra are hogs.

The jungle is terrifying in the dark. It's too quiet one moment, yet erupts into a myriad of unidentifiable sounds the next.

Right now, it's quiet. The path ahead is still clear. There are spots of blood on the ground. Perhaps the hog was injured, that would explain how clear the vegetation was.

There's a noise ahead, the sound of meat being torn apart, and he hopes it's simply another hog digging into the injured one. They do that sometimes.

When he gets closer, still holding the lamp high, a pair of eyes stare at him, blank as paper but bright as the sun.

It's not a hog.

It's a jaguar, black as the jungle around it, silhouette barely visible.

There's blood on its muzzle, fresh and bright.

Something is lying in front of it, a mess of dark-brown fur and flesh.

Except it's not fur. It's hair, human hair.

While he can't see the face, the head is shattered beyond recognition.

Langemann startles and steps back. The jaguar stands up, and he's ready for it to strike.

It doesn't.

Its empty eyes stare at him for a few tense seconds, but then it picks up the body by the head and wanders off, dragging it along. Slowly, carelessly, as if Langemann is no danger to it.

He isn't. He's in too much shock to do anything.

All that's left on the ground is a large puddle of blood and some torn pieces of clothes.
