15? for the toku questions!
Least favorite series?
YAY LETTING ME BE A HATER
jetman and kiva haterism under the cut, and orb criticism
JETMAN SUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCKS SORRY god i do NOT like gai and when that last episode happened i was like FUCKING FINALLY. yes there's yaoi but why is kaori like. boring. why is raito so shoved off. ako beloved and commander beloved but like why are you two in THIS show go get in a better show!!! it took me the longest other than kamen no ninja akakage to finish and like akakage was because it had no subs. jetman had subs i just didn't want to watch gai be an asshole for 19m or whatever
kiva ALSO sucks. that being said i'd watch it again over jetman. but like i was NOT interested in the '86 portion because we already knew the effects of it in 08????? i was like OKAY YOU'RE GONNA DIE AND NOT BE WITH YURI SO WHY SHOULD I CARE. also i don't know why this bugged me when i literally watched it 4 kamen riders later but like having wataru after ryoutarou just seemed like such an odd choice. too similar two years in a row.
ultraman i don't have a like super hatred of any of the ones i've seen? but orb is overrated imo. the fights are way too long which means i don't have time to CARE about the intense yaoi!! and then there's not enough time for naomi-tachi! like if orb's fights were a third shorter it'd be better!! also orbgin was like. brooooooooooooooooooooo who CARES about miss gotchard mechanic and go-onred's destiny it's BORING. at least it had fujimiya and gamu. mostly fujimiya.

One Week Friends (Isshuukan Friends)
Rating: 8/10 🌟
๑Underrated, wholesome, heartwarming, and has a unique concept.
๑Hase and Fujimiya are pure and innocent. I like the character development in each of the episodes.
๑My favorite character is Shougo. 😍 He's mysterious and intimidating. Some might think that he's cold. He's blunt and rational, the sort of person who keeps you grounded. Those people act like they don't care, but they do. And Saki!!! Warm and Kawai! I want more Shougo and Saki moments. 🥺
๑This anime is surprisingly decent. Could have been better in some aspects, but I don't regret it. It's a hidden gem. A solid 8/10. Not my favorite, but one that I can recommend to a friend. Worth my time. 😊

༻High school sophomore Yūki Hase noticed that Kaori Fujimiya, his classmate, was always alone.
༻He tried to start a conversation with her but was turned down: "My memories of friendship can last only a week," she said.
༻Despite of knowing this shocking truth, Yūki keeps trying to be Kaori's "new" friend every week.

Anime Reviews
Ishuukan Friends
Summary : High schooler Yūki Hase notices that his classmate Kaori Fujimiya is always alone and seemingly has no friends. After approaching her and becoming better acquainted, Kaori reveals that every Monday she loses all memory of her friends. Despite learning this, Yūki endeavors to befriend her anew every week.
Ishuukan Friends, or also One Week Friends, is an Anime from season Spring 2014. (Yea that's 6 years ago) though the plot seems to be a little sloppy, this anime is actually a very good option if you want just to sit and relax a little bit. The watercolor scenes and smooth drawn will heal your soul. But not everything is pastel color in this story. Kaori Fujimiya looks like a cold and reserved person for her classroom, but Yūki discovers that she has a reason for that, she got an accident that let her whit the impossibility of keeping the memories she makes along the week whit her friends only. (sounds like a good excuse to use at work or school) Actually, Kaori is a very gentle and friendly girl, she's an angel coming from the sky! When Yūki sees this, he decides he'll become friends whit Kaori every week again because, let's be honest, Kaori wort it. In order to help her, he suggests her to write a diary, this helps her a lot to improve her memory and you can't help getting excited whit her when she remembers how to make eggs. (Believe it or not it was so touching )
A long whit the story we can see new characters that came and want to friends whit Kaori too, like the cute and forgetful Saki Yamagishi, who don't pay much attention to the fact of being forgotten every week. Also the best friend of Yūki, Sōgo Kiryū, who is in charge of supporting and listen to the complains of Yūki, oh, and also to take care of Saki since you can't say no to her adorable face. (I always wanted an anime just of this two characters T_T) Don't expect a big drama from this anime, but it does have moments that'll keep you at the edge of your sit, specially while we discovers the reason of Kaori's accident. It also has no big romance, but is obviously that Yūki and Kaori have something, and this gives space for very cute and funny moments in this slice o life anime.
Do I have something negative about it? Well, besides of having just 12 chapters, things can become a little bit slow and repetitive, but we are talking about losing memories, repetition is necessary. If you can overcome that, you can enjoy a small story of perseverance and a lot of friendship.

Day 6
A slice of life anime
Slice of Life is kind of new territory for me in a way. Suzuka was the first non-magic/mecha/blood ‘n guts/sci-fi anime that I had ever really liked, and that was not quite 2yrs ago. I watched it on a complete whim, and it really took me in because the conflicts and the situations were very… well, human. Like, they could actually happen. It wasn’t that I had never seen that in anime before, it’s just that it almost always bored the hell out me before and I went out of my way to avoid those titles. But, that one really opened my eyes to the idea of your run-of-the-mill high school dramas that didn’t involve soul reapers or space folds or aliens or whatnot. And now I have quite a few titles about just normal people that I really like.
K-On! would probably be my favorite, just because it’s always so fun, and I still like Suzuka - though after watching it through a second time, I got nowhere near the same feels as when it was new to me, but the one I always remember is Isshuukan Friends (One Week Friends). Let’s go ahead and say that the science is a little off, and it’s odd that the memory lapse takes place at the exact same time every week, but aside from that? Pretty much everything else is totally feasible. I mean, they’re kids, so of course they’re going to say things they don’t really mean, they’re going to sit on their feelings, and they’re not going to know exactly what to do and when to do it. So many of these SoL titles are either just pure goofball fun, or they’re so afternoon soap opera that they’re plain annoying. Golden Time is a very similar premise, but just look at the ending - it’s so Disney meets Judd Apatow that it pisses me off, it was way too far of a stretch for me to even remotely believe. I’m not saying that One Week Friends isn’t yet another full-circle, highly predictable, archetype show with relatively rounded teeth, because it totally is.
But with Yuuki and Kaori, they feel like everyday, unremarkable school kids to me. There was no fanservice to speak of, if I remember correctly - even when the staple and seemingly necessary ‘beach episode’ happened, it happened like it would to actual, real teenagers and not genetically engineered size 0s with basketball-sized breasts falling out of skimpy, laced bikinis that they were all wearing but somehow embarrassed to be seen in. They were just good kids, nothing special or amazing, just people. The teachers were not particular friends or even that memorable at all, they were just teachers. I remember worrying as it was winding up for the ending that it was going to be so over the top with Shougo and Saki ending up as star-crossed lovers at the end, second only to the greatest love story ever told by anyone who ever lived in the history of ever that was these two, but it didn’t. It ended very much so like a normal high schooler’s story would - very awkwardly lol Like seriously, how is it that after all of that, neither of them had the guts to sack up and confess to the other, or even manage a kiss? Well, that was the high school I remember, not the happily ever afters with peppy music overlays as the credits roll, so I always liked it. And, with all the anything-but-normal endings to so many SoL anime out there, this is the one I always think of when I hear “slice of life”, because it could easily be a slice of someone’s actual life in real life.
