I love how we all agree that teeny baby Kanofinwe Makalaure was a horrendously screamy baby

‘Where are you going Nelyo?’ Makaulaure asked innocently while collapsing on his older brother’s bed. ‘Out, so I’ll need you to keep an eye on the little ones for a while,’ Maitimo said while choosing between two sets of earrings and eventually settling on pearl studs.
‘You’re not just going out. You’ve been in here for over half an hour, you never go to this much effort,’ Kano exclaimed while gesturing at Maitimo’s intricately arranged hair, partly braided and part lying in soft curls. He also noted the flowing gown he was wearing in dark green that had sheer sleeves beginning a good way down the bicep, exposing more of his shoulders and collarbone than he’d ever done before and the subtle dusting of makeup around his eyes and lips.
‘Look at you you’re all dressed up!’ and then the moment of realisation came to Kanofinwe. ‘Oh! You have a date!’ his eyes widened in shock and he grinned preparing to tease the life out of his brother. ‘So who’s the unfortunate lady?’ Nelyo was definitely blushing now as he ran his brush through a section of hair self consciously. ‘Just shut up Kano. There’s no lady, leave it be.’
‘The unfortunate lord then. Any closer hmm’ Kano continued to tease him, then he looked at his brother’s face and saw how close to home he’d hit ‘Oh it is! Oh come on I need names Maitimo!’ Nelyo made for the door refusing to deign Kano with an answer. ‘Nelyo!’ Kano called after him in a sing-sing voice and his brother stopped, sighing.
‘You look beautiful,’ Kano smiled at him genuinely. Maitimo let out a breath and hugged his brother quickly before leaving. ‘Good luck! I’m gonna need details later!’ He called after him as Maitimo slipped out the door.

Yet Maglor still held back, saying: 'If Manwë and Varda themselves deny the fulfilment of an oath to which we named them in witness, is it not made void?' And Maedhros answered: 'But how shall our voices reach to Ilúvatar beyond the Circles of the World? And by Ilúvatar we swore in our madness, and called the Everlasting Darkness upon us, if we kept not our word. Who shall release us?'
'If none can release us,' said Maglor, 'then indeed the Everlasting Darkness shall be our lot, whether we keep our oath or break it; but less evil shall we do in the breaking.'

Each of them took to himself a Silmaril, for they said: 'Since one is lost to us, and but two remain, and we two alone of our brothers, so is it plain that fate would have us share the heirlooms of our father.'

Maglor was the second of the Sons of Fëanor. He had more of his mother Nerdanel's gentle spirit than any of his brothers. Maglor was known for his poetry and singing, but in Tirion he swore the Oath of Fëanor and shared in the woes it bred.

Maglor's Gap was the open area between the hills surrounding Himring and an extension of the Ered Luinjust north of Mount Rerir. It was the widest break in the northern mountain-fences of Beleriand.
