Uh hi there! I'm new to all this omni-net thing but Kanmi says i've gotta introduce myself so hello omni-net!

My name is Coryander (or Cory but Thebe's the only one who calls me that)! she/her only please and thank you! oh ya my callsign is Ouroboros (or Oro for short) and I currently pilot a swallowtail chassis named Wallcreeper (like Tichodroma muraria)!! uuh i'm pretty new to this whole piloting thing too, well like piloting a big mech i've "piloted" my old ship a bit.. but anyways Wallcreeper's been a nice experience so far!

Kanmi says to tell you all who we are (whoops) uh i'm a part of a little lancer squad unofficially called Dido's Divers (after our leader, the Dido), it'll mostly be me on this but i might talk about my other crew-members too!

i'll start! mine is Ouroboros, like the curly snake that bites it's own tail, Liza says it's originally some pre-fall thing but but i got it because i have a habit of looping songs... like a lot (Thebe says "ya a lot", thanks... ) and enough jokes about me doing things over and over and... ya but i think Oro (which is what i mostly get called if someone's not using my name) is pretty cute! so im happy!! much better than just "greenie"

uuum next up is Kanmi's! he's Rosy, firstly because his favourite drink is a rose (the e has a fancy tick but i dont know how to do that), and it's what he'd ask Dido for when she was ordering supplies, so it kinda stuck! but the other reason is kinda funny, because he gets flushed really really easy, like whenever someone compliments him (especially Dido...) he gets beet red and it's funny to watch, so Rosy!

okay Thebe's walked off! her callsign is Neutron, like a neutron star, because... i love her but she's a bit dense sometimes - it's fine we went through the academy together i can say that -, not that i want her to see it, also Liza says it's cause she can be self-centered but i think that's just mean..

speaking of! Liza's callsign is Sour Patch! or just Patch if someone is yelling for her (which happens often enough), and okay apparently it's a reference to some pre-fall cradle thing i don't get, but i think it's just cause she looks sour all the time (she's quite sweet though under that, not that she'd be caught dead admitting that)

and uh Dido i have no idea, she's just Dido, Liza says it's an old cradle queen? cool?

???Queen Marika Rant??? SUPER RAMBLE ✨ Part: 1

I love Queen Marika for all her flaws. She’s one hell of a complex character! I just wanted to ramble about the rollercoaster that is her mental health. In bite sized proportions (Not Really)

Childhood/Young Woman: Oh boy. So Queen Marika was a spirit medium/shaman/priestess etc. I think the Japanese word is Itako? They’re blind women who serve as mediums between kanmi and dead. Anyway, Marika presumably grew up in a village of only women, led by an elderly grandmother figure! Perhaps the capital G Grandmother was an elder or perhaps she was a spirit! Since Marika prays to the statue/corpse of this woman who neatly resembles Marika herself embedded within an old tree. Maybe ancestral invocation? How cool, right?! She grew up in the Lands Between, especially close to the Crucible granted Marika initiated the Erdtree and its corresponding Order. Anyway, so she was a shaman girl living in a small village upon a cliff meadow, the “hidden land” (eng as Hinterland). Potentates of the Hornsent would kidnap these spirit mediums and torture and mutilate them so that their infected flesh could serve as a binding agent with the stuffed not-cadavers of those deemed as criminals or heretics by the Hornsent. The Hornsent saw the shamans as cattle, really. Maybe they used spiritually sensitive people as glue to purify the criminals? Hence rebirth as a “good person” aka Saint in eng. So, Marika was a shamanistic ascetic whose people were killed! The calm and gentle Marika now has vengeance in her heart.

Empyrean: Marika’s Empyrean years are vague. Or perhaps I’m stupid. No one will ever know… Anyway, Marika’s village was literally next to Finger Ruins, which is crawling with the transhumanist worshippers of Metyr. Not to mention a literal star beast alien crashed by. Because Mother Metyr was broken, so were her children. I guess the Fingers were to spread the direct orders and thoughts of the Greater Will throughout the realm of man, but their connection got cut and are running on half baked or out of date data. I don’t know how Marika met the Fingers, but these envoys of the Greater Will clearly wanted to exert their influence over the girl. All an Empyrean is is someone with god candidacy as decreed by the Fingers. This just happens to only exist in a semi-hereditary capacity which isn’t a bad idea. Manipulate the entire bloodline, y’know? The wet nurse of Godwyn was literally an interpreter of the Fingers. Anyway, the Fingers gave Marika the title of Empyrean and gave her a young wolf named Maliketh who would serve her unwaveringly. The Japanese word for him makes him sound like a non-blood relative who merely plays the part of little brother. So she has corrupt esoteric backers, a cool dog, but now what? Did she meet Hoarah Loux too during this time? Ehhh, I don’t know and I don’t care. Marika however did eventually travel to Belurat and presumably lived there amongst the Hornsent. She was a girl with vengeance in her heart and with the Fingers backing her, a little bit of ambition was probably starting to burn within. But her stay amongst the Hornsent was… peaceful? Her betrayal only came about after she became the figurehead of a continent spanning theocracy. The burning and shadowing was a later thing. Marika being a spirit medium and god candidate probably made her similar to the Hornsent who also sought to become local gods and took spirits into their forms. The Hornsent held the Gates of Divinity as a secret but once Marika was born anew as a god atop that tower, the secret came to light. It’s my personal theory that Marika seduced the Hornsent, became a super power whilst leaving them behind on vague terms, only to come back and purge them on the justification that they were a graceless people not unlike other crucible beasts and folk, while secretly being fueled by her vengeful trauma, which she used her basket case of a son to become the poster child of. Which is funny because the Hornsent revered Gold. Marika just took what they started with their reverence of trees, gold, light and ran with it. The crucible was already there so like, hijack it Queen ✨ and mama did! So yeah, Empyrean Marika was probably both vengeful and increasingly ambitious, but used her charisma and gentle promises to seduce the superstitious clergy of Belurat into gaining Godhood. I’m pretty sure it’s said that Gold and Shadow were born when Marika became a God? I don’t even know anymore HA. When young Marika inherited the powers of Gold, this is was before she decided to establish a government or laws. It was just gentle gold that would heal others. So now you have this beautiful, half naked, spiritually sensitive woman with healing powers, a newfound god complex, fear of death, a cool wolf, and was being fed whack advice by oversized appendages from space who claim to serve the creator of existence. Godfrey went AWOOOOOGA.

Young God: Marika gets the Elden Ring somehow, but that’s besides the point. Marika in her early reign was a blind fanatic, which she admits to later on. She never questioned the Fingers and whole heartedly became a believer and waring fanatic who would have you exiled or killed if you did not conform to her Order. But this was also an era of growth and prosperity which had an affect on Marika’s public image — she was a motherly goddess of gifts and blessings, giving sap and grace to peeps like it’s their birthdays. Of course Marika didn’t do too much. She had a divine power backing her, evil wolf, and really good public speaking skills. So many people want to demonize Marika and yes, she’s an unforgivable person who’s probably worse than her Hornsent oppressors, but Godfrey, her loyal husband, fed off the violence of war and believed in Marika. Aiding if not leading genocides by her whim. She wanted to establish a new world order of eternal life, of gold, of abundance, but she had to acquire a lot of land and kill a lot of people to do that. GET GOOD MIQUELLA. Aint even original my guy. Marika’s childhood trauma likely very much influenced her decision to lock away death and render her family immortal. She already lost one family. Time to make this one long lived and powerful! So yeah, Marika matured into a charismatic leader who inspired fanatical legions, blindly following the Fingers, and later becoming a goddess of benediction and as well as a wife and mother. So much pressure on this woman. Not to mention she uh, locked her wolf brother in the closest to never come out again. Uncle Maliketh became the boogeymen to which all of Marika’s children would know to fear. She wasn’t above doing horrible things if it meant securing her idealist kingdom. Again, get original Miquella. Funnily enough Marika was also implied to be a mischievous person. Her statuary makes her look like either a warrior goddess or maternal figure wity a burden upon her shoulders, but young Marika would use her magic veil to shape shift and play pranks on people. Isn’t that fun? God I LOVE multifaceted characters. Blonde female religious figures are my favorite gender.

a ranking of your favorite ships and what you like most about them

Hi, and thanks so much for the ask! Really tough question - I feel like the rankings definitely shift around a lot depending on what I'm writing at the moment, but for LoL RPF ships, if I had to provide a top 3, it'd be:

CanMaker - Kim "Canyon" Geonbu x Heo "ShowMaker" Su

If you asked me a year ago what my favorite LoL RPF ship was, I would not have said CanMaker, despite the fact that they were my first-ever ship for the fandom. Writing for them has really increased my fondness for the pairing, though, because - I think I've said this on here before - I find CanMaker the easiest ship to write since their dialogue and interactions come so naturally. They are a very cozy, comfortable ship, with the crux of their relationship being how well they've come to understand each other through years of working alongside one another. Even if they're a bit unclear on where they stand with each other, they will always anticipate each other's wants and needs. They aren't quite a childhood friends-to-lovers ship (which reminds me: read 'so-called "friend"'), but it almost feels that way since they debuted at roughly the same time and grew up as players together. That's not to mention that they also fit the big x small and quiet x loud tropes very well - they really are a gentle giant x small gremlin pairing, and I love that for them. Overall, I like them because they're fun to write and have a very sweet dynamic, and they have the type of relationship that I one day hope to have.

2. RuLehends - Park "Ruler" Jaehyuk x Son "Lehends" Siwoo

Ruler and Lehends, on the other hand, have a type of relationship that I hope I never have, yet they are so, so fun to read and write because of it. Their relationship is all about give-and-take and banter, it's all tension and build up and eventual explosion in some destructive way or another. The other thing about their relationship is that they both clearly have so much fun with it, like they treat their interactions like a game - watching their old streaming highlights, you definitely get that vibe. Moreover, they just can't leave each other alone - at this point, it's been years since they were together and yet Lehends is still waxing poetic about Ruler's ass and Ruler is still criticizing and teasing Lehends. This relationship is always high, tasty drama, which makes them especially fun to get invested in.

3. One2eus - Moon "Oner" Hyunjoon x Choi "Zeus" Wooje

Talking about One2eus now, for the first time since Zeus's transfer, is kind of bittersweet, but I'm sure the two of them will stay close despite the newfound distance between them. Oner and Zeus have kind of the best of both worlds from the above ships: they have the same foundation of trust and friendship from working alongside each other for years - since Academy - as CanMaker, but they also have the banter and tension of RuLehends, with Zeus acting all bratty and Oner scolding, yet indulging him. I think the moment that I first started shipping them was when I read an interview translation in which Oner called Zeus his "best friend", and I found something very sweet about a decently-social, taekwondo blackbelted, Calvin Klein model of a man saying that his best friend was the fuzzy-haired shut-in maknae with three Challengers League accounts at age 15. I guess this is true of all my top pairings, but it feels especially true here: I also just love Oner and Zeus as characters/people! So, so much. They are both so cute/sweet/funny, and I will miss seeing them interact with each other on a regular basis.

Those three ships comprise my personal S+ tier of LoL RPF ships, but also notable, in the S-tier, we have GumaKeria, KiinCuzz, Zegen, KanMi, and UmMo. I'm more than happy to talk about any of those, if so desired.

Below that, in A-tier, there are a number of other ships that I like, but am significantly less invested in, such as bddker, fakenut, mapo duo, maolan, doper, pernut, vihends, etc. Then, there are the B-tier ships, which I only like in a very specific context/flavor, such as choker, lushow, and kiihends. C-tier is for the ships that I personally don't vibe with for whatever reason, and F-tier is only for ships with uncomfortable age gaps and/or pedophiles involved. If you're ever curious about my personal ranking of any LoL RPF ship, don't hesitate to ask! I will gladly vent about my opinions upon request lmao.

⋆𖦹 oh this is interesting! i'm surprised to see so many pilots who rely on analog! most of my controls are neural, almost exclusively actually but with some motion capture? kinda?

the little quirk is that to enhance the feeling connection beyond even just the neurolink implant is im suspended in a sort of fluid-solid? Liza says it's like some old cradle thing called ooblek? im not sure what that is but she says it does the same thing of responding differently to different types of pressure. I'm not actually sure what the fluid-solid called but alongside the neurolink and (Athena now too) it makes me feel like i am more an embodiment of Wallcreeper than just her pilot, because i can physically feel the impact of each blow or movement, which is helpful data but can leave almost an afterimage of the pain if i get hit? like a mental bruise almost? if that makes sense?

oh also i've noticed i experience a sort of phantom limb syndrome sometimes on dismount, especially if i've been in the cockpit for a good while, cause my brain gets used to computing how to move and balance with the extra limbs and so when i've just got the two again it can kinda mess with my co-ordination a bit (wears off though don't worry)

uuuh im not totally sure what everyone uses, but i know Thebe uses full body capture for her Tokugawa, cause she likes to feel like she's the one fully controlling every movement. I know Liza uses analog for her Tortuga cause she's an old-timer and i assume that's what Dido uses but i haven't actually seen inside her Blackbeard so i'm not too sure, and i don't know what Kanmi uses but i think it's closer to analog with a bit of neural for reaction speed and all that.

thanks for the question though! and hope you can stay out of trouble for a bit (im sure they deserved it but like.. be careful eh), i don't doubt you can hold your own (you look pretty badass) but like ya let your body rest at least.
